the patterns from his genes already reflected miles' spider-suit patterns well, so his scry doesnt have a lot of apparel

the bewitching ruby pendants represents his spider logo

gwen has runes tert, because there werent any suitable pink glove apparels (the peony ones dont match well)

i considered giving the scry banana noxtide as a secondary to mimic her hair's pink hairlights, but it didnt mesh well

3. pavitr prabhakar

i couldn't figure out how to represent pavitr's spider logo, so i just gave his scry a necklace in lieu of it

the "navy bandana" was way too big and the color didnt match, so i opted for the "sky blue fillet" to represent his headband

4. hobie brown

hobie's scry/outfit was surprisingly easy to come up with, and was the first one i did

he gets a lute because theres no guitar apparel

his patchwork secondary represents his collage art style

5. miguel o'hara

i chose banescale for miguel, as his spider-suit is so simple/streamlined that it wouldnt translate well to apparel + skeletal tert being spiky is reminiscent of his arm spikes

6. jessica drew

i thought about representing jessica's motorcycle with the "flameforger crucible" or "igneous iguana" apparels, but they were too bulky unfortunately

vermilion skink doesnt have her exact shade of yellow, but is close enough that oilslick peacock's yellow accent color balances it out visually

fissure secondary represents the spider web pattern on peter's spider-suit

i know his slippers are supposed to be blue, but the "mage's peony socks" looked better here

the bookworm plushie is a stand-in for mayday

Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond

Starts an intergalactic rebellion then fakes her death then has lots of sex with humans (she's an alien) then decides to get reborn as a human baby

she waged a war against herself. only pearl, her knight/lover/servant, knew that the so called colonizer and the rebel leader were the same person. the war lasted one thousand years and at the end of it she faked her death by pretending to have killed her evil self. she thought her family wouldn't care about her death but they retaliated with an attack that basically killed most of the rebels (only rose and her two closest friends survived). she was bisexual and had an unlabeled relationship with pearl. she made pearl physically unable to talk about her old self (she had the power to bc pearl was her servant). she had relationships with other people (pearl was aware but jealous). at the end of her life, she decided to have a baby with greg. to have a baby she'd have to die bc they couldn't exist at the same time. so she died and her son was raised by pearl, greg and two of her other friends. she also imprisoned one of her friends during the war bc of ideological divergences and then said they had actually died in battle and never told anyone about her whereabouts. and she also abandoned someone by tricking them and saying she'd come back without ever actually intending to come back (they waited for thousands of years). anyways rose gave every single character abandonment issues and she was at the core of the show. every single thing that happens leads back to her.

rune was very briefly a pink witch before going tits out cowboy at an alarmingly speed (shit actually i need to draw more cowboy)

i will always find it funny how fast i also went from drawing like steven universe and cute magical girls to "i will now only draw my scrunkly as shit elf. they are literally the only thing i want to draw" and i've learned so much from that lol

i think it was literally like a month between cute witch and fantasia thoughts fffkfflff (that art is from like june, so here's a more recent one cause i love comparisons :D )

for those with wols/ocs that have names that don't follow their race's naming conventions: why did you choose that name?

rune is an alias they chose to avoid being tracked after leaving sharlayan, only to later find out no one had enough interest in their research to warrant finding them :| but they liked it so it stuck

they do have a proper elezen name but i keep changing it cause i'm indecisive, but also they'd only use rune around most people anyways so it's fine fffff someone says they're good at inscribing runes one time and they make it their whole thing

ooc reason is cause i name all my game characters some variant of rune aren after my first skyrim character so i don't spend 6 hours on the character create screen and i didn't think i'd like playing enough to worry about a lore compliant name OTL

I had rune around 30, then I mathed a bunch figuring out how long it took jannequinard and leveva to learn astromancy, and serendipity goldsmithing, how old they'd be at the sharlayan exodus, and how long it'd take to become an archon...to end up at 30 again OTL

Lumi is 32 and had a similar thing but figuring out how old she'd have to be to have a red mage stone, and training in a bunch of fields. I've been thinking she should be a little older though...

Other than you wol(oc)’s current hair color, what color would they dye it?

rune naturally has greyish brown hair, they get the top bleached, this is an excuse for me to show them with their hair grown out lol

I've tried them with yellow before which worked surprisingly well, they'd try any colour as long as it keeps the two-tone

what does your wol/oc think about archon loaf? are they from sharlayan? was 5.3 the first time they tried it?

rune is sharlyan. unfortunately. they love it. even after leaving they still eat it when they wanna work instead of make real food. eating a proper meal will make them sob with how nice it tastes, then later they're back to eating the stupid loaf again.

their mum grew up near gridania and makes a somewhat nicer version without the fish. it still has most of the uh- qualities of a traditional archon loaf though

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 8 Ep. 101: Babies On The Brain

Following their ride, congratulations on the couples’ nuptials continued to pour in as they made their way to The Ranch with August.

Paul was excited to show them his new greenhouse and introduce them to the resident miniature livestock and the visiting large pink horse.

Spencer was stabling Steven’s mare Misty temporarily. His twin had recruited some elder mages to help conjure her up to his specific preferences but had not yet renovated a fitting space for her back at the juice farm in Henford-on-Bagley.

As everyone headed inside to meet their newest relative, they were given a small celebratory sample of The Ranch’s nectar to share.

Nikita and baby Denton were resting upstairs in the nursery. Her blood sugar had stabilized nicely after his birth, and everyone was quite happy to have that particular health issue no longer causing chaos and worry for the family.

They all took turns saying hello to the new addition, who seemed to be in a great mood, just sleepy enough to enjoy cuddles. Peachy didn’t miss how happy and natural Jack looked snuggling the newborn in his arms.

Peachy was sure Jack would make a great dad, and with their limited time together, they wanted to get started soon. He planned to talk more about it with his spouse during their trip to The Falls.

Peachy and Jack had originally planned to head straight to their cabin after the visit but when Tori invited them to join her and Miguel at the Romance Festival, they decided that seemed like a perfectly thematic start to their honeymoon.

August opted to stay behind and spend some more time with his favorite relative’s newly expanded family, so the newlyweds made a party of six when they spotted the ancient mages Peppino and Candor chatting with their cousins around the Sakura tea fountain downtown.

Their elders were both eager to consult the Love Guru about their current relationship concerns, and the group snagged a private karaoke room while they waited their turn for sage advice and (hopefully) encouraging predictions.

While the others enjoyed Candor’s rendition of a popular upbeat rock hit Peachy settled next to Peppino to discuss state of the art baby-making tech.

Peppino was intrigued by the tales of the “Science Baby” advances in Jack’s homeland but told his old student their own nation hadn’t popularized and polished his own research to quite the same level. Anyway, the Mad Scientist mage thought pregnancy was beautiful and highly recommended the experience, and for Sims that weren’t interested in carrying a child themselves there was always surrogacy or adoption.

Peachy still needed to discuss with Jack which path they would pursue, but he appreciated the chance to get more information.

After they tired of karaoke and rose to head back outside Peppino invited Peachy to give him a call if he or Jack decided to follow in his and Steven’s footsteps and make their family dreams a reality through the pathway of “mad” gestational science.

The group ended their evening out with some spirited dancing. As their small group headed their separate ways Peachy gave Tori a big hug and told her how great it had been to see her again. The pair had been close in high school and tonight had reminded Peachy why.

The cousins looked forward to spending more time together in the near future.

A Prompt that came from a Challenge

(Well, not quite from the challenge of @natedogx15, but it motivated me to post it here)

 This is an AU that involves Indie Horror RPGs (I haven’t played all of those below, but I know the basic plot of most), Winx Club and Steven Universe. The AU of @ask-the-rpg-3 was what gave me the idea.

Besides the dimension of Earth, where us humans live on, there are a lot of different dimensions. Some of them are the Monster Realm, the Paintings Realm, Shadows Realm, Plants Realm, and, most importantly, the Sorcerers Realm.

The Sorcerers come from a Magic Dimension, and they are ruled by the three most powerful sorcerers, who are also immortal. Their society is harsh and cold, where you must obey all the rules if you don’t want to be punished.

These sorcerers, to get more and more powerful, travel from realm to realm to steal their mana/life essence, leaving these dimensions barren and lifeless.

A Sorceress, a long time ago, though, decided to fight for Earth and started a rebellion. Her name was Fran Bow, a sorcerer of the cosmos. Their group name was the Mages of Gaia.

The mages thought against the sorcerers to save the planet and managed to do that… but, there was a cost. The fourth leader needed to be eliminated.

Her three siblings were furious, and, on a last attempt, they cast a curse on most rebels, transforming all of the mages into monsters.

However, these mages left children with dormant magic blood, that only needed a small spark to be activated.

Fran, who protected herself with a powerful enchantment stayed alive and safe.

Years passed, and, for some mysterious reason, 4 descendants, after generations, unlocked their magical potential, and need to be trained by Fran Bow, specially considering the threat of more sorcerers coming back to Earth.

Now that the story is explained, time to talk about the magic system. The magic system is similar to Winx, except that there is no difference between wizards, witches, and fairies. They are all sorcerers here with magic transformations (magic winx, enchantix and so on, but no wings).

The main 4 characters are:

- Sunny, the sorcerer of dreams (Omori): He has the power of manipulating Dream Energy (basically blue lantern powers), reading people’s thoughts and so on.

- Madotsuki, the sorceress of absorption (Yume Nikki): She can touch objects and absorb their abilities (like, touching a candle gives her fire powers. Yes, this ability is inspired on her effects of the game).

- Kris, the NB sorcerer of determination (Deltarune): his magic allows him to create a magical aura that enhances his natural abilities (he can get super-strengh and speed, as an example).

- Ib, the sorceress of plants (Ib): she can manipulate and create plans (but Fran is teaching her how to create portals between realms).

 The other characters are not quite their own selves, they are mostly Steven Universe Counterparts:

Fran Bow: Rose Quartz.

Mr. Midnight: Lion.

Ryo (Crowscare), sorcerer of light: Peridot.

Embry (It’s not me, it’s my basement), NB sorcerer of Crystals: Lapis (Being trapped in a mirror kept them as a child).

Amanda (Amanda the Adventurer), sorceress of shape: Bismuth. (Being Trapped on Mr Midnight kept her from aging too).

Aya (Mad Father), sorceress of death: Jasper.

Misfortune (Little Misfortune), sorceress of Dimensions: Pink Diamond.

Venna (Crowscare): White Diamond.

Rune (Crowscare): Blue Diamond.

Alfred (Mad Father): Yellow Diamond.

 The rest, I haven’t decided, but, the one writing it can come up with it.

Remembering that, in this universe: Omori good route events would have happened, Ib’s events wouldn’t have happened, Deltarune’s wouldn’t have happened either (and the monsters would live in their own realm), and Yume Nikki’s events, well… they are dreams that happen time and time again, so, they did, but can happen again (except the ending).

Story

A Displeaseing Thought For a Diamond

Location: Crystalsis, Pink Diamond Kingdom, Pink Kingdom Place, Thorne Room.

Queen Rosebelle Universe sat on her throne, looking at the head of security in her court, Mason Robinson, a former member of the Crystal Gems. She had founded the crystal gems when she was a teenager before the multicourt system was made.

While she had left the hero life in order to attend to her duties she had as a parent and monarch, the crystal gems were still very much active. With her son Steven being a new member in training. Her court may have been known for healing and medical affairs, and it did provide its fair share of warriors.

Right now, however, she was meeting with the former opal of the gems who had gone on to serve as her advisor of defense. He had requested an emergency appointment with her a few minutes ago. After her personal assistant had filtered it to make sure that it was actually an emergency, she granted the audience to find out what had happened.

She had known that it was a major issue since they didn't just send her an email regarding the issue. It was her policy that many minor issues that needed her attention should be sent to her via email and major issues in person. No exceptions were permitted for this, she had made that much clear when she fired the previous advisor of security when he kept using 'urgent matters' has an excuse to try and introduce her to more 'suitable spouse'.

Since that day, no one on her court had the inclination to even consider the idea of breaking this rule. His man was no exception, so when he gave his report, she listened carefully.

"Are you certain about this? There are really traitors in my guard and court?" The queen asked as the man nodded.

The man nodded solumly. "I'm afraid so, your majesty. I don't have much information on the matter yet, but I assure you that my faction of the court is working around the clock to investigate the matter. We are looking through Lady Morgan's finance and connections to gather any information about the traitors responsible for her ability to cover up the crimes she committed. We hope to find evidence regarding the gaurds who have turned on you by continuing our investigations into Lady Morgan's crimes."

"I see, you did well in reporting this... thank you. Infrom your superior, in the white court, and continue your investigation. Keep me informed on the matter as much as you are able. You are dismissed for now." Rosebelle ordered the man calmly.

"If that is what you wish, my diamonded majesty." The man replied politely. He then quickly left the room with his assistant in tow. With that, Rosebelle turned to her assistant calmly.

"Page, send a job offer to The Crystal Gems. The job will be a simple guard mission. After that, send for the royal mage, the royal guard, and the royal judge and inform the white diamond about this incident." Rosebelle ordered the assistance with a curt nod.

Page nodded and carried out her orders as commanded taking out her phone she sent a message to The Crystal Gems informing them of the job offer that the queen had given them. She then sent word to the royal mage and head of the royal guard to summon them to the throne room.

Only a second after the summons were sent out the two royal court members were that were summoned entered the room with grim expressions on their faces. A look of surprise came across them has they hear the sound of their pagers go off in sync with each other's. "You called us our Diamond?" Asked the former Sapphire of the Crystal Gems, Sera Gemblade asked with the calm tone that she used in these types of situations.

"Yes, I did call for the both of you. But it seems to me like you were already on your way here when I called for you. How urgent is the matter that you need to bring to my attention?" Rosebelle asked in a carious tone.

Sera strode up to her queen first and spook. "My Diamond... I fear that there may be traitors in the pink diamond court, specifically in the royal guard. I have been receiving visions has of late detailing a war with old home world. One where they are able to break through our defenses due to prior knowledge of its innerworkings and thanking people whose names I do not hear. I also believe that someone in my faction of the court is working to block my visions so as to prevent me from finding them."

Rose nodded solemnly has she has she listened to the report. Sapphire was a seer which allowed her to see the future. It was this ability that allowed her to earn the spot of royal mage when she was only in her 20s. Her visons were extremely accurate and quite vivid, something rare from a seer as most were hazy at best and illegible at worst. If her visions were hazy then something was blocking them.

"I see, so you're already aware of the traitors in my court. What's more is that there could be a traitor in your faction as well. That is going to be a problem." Rosebelle frowned as she thought about the current circumstances.

"Your majesty, how did you know that there are traitors on my fact faction of the court?" The former ruby of The Crystal Gems, Arnald Gemblade asked with a frown.

"I just finished meeting with the advisor of security. He informed me that there are traitors among your faction of the court Arnald. I hope that you're already addressing the matter seeing has you appear to already be cognizant of this." Rosabelle intoned to her head royal guard.

"Yes, my diamond. I assure you that I am already attempting to locate the traitors. I have already made a list of the members of my faction that I can say with complete confidence that they are not among the traitors. Each cleared by multiple sources of intelligence and thoroughly checked for and cleared of any suspicious activity. Though I'm afraid that the list is small at the moment that is due to the fact that I have only been investigating the matter for a week and verified the existence of said traitors today."

"I see, this is better than what I was hoping for. Not only were you already aware of the traitors but you have already made a list of people that we can trust. This will boost our investigation into this matter greatly. Has expected of a former member of The Crytal Gems. " Rosebelle smiled at her head of the royal guard.

Arnald smiled at his diamond happily. "Thank you, my diamond. I will do my best to root out the traitors." The former Ruby bowed before her diamond before straightening himself back up.

"My Daimond, what should we do about the traitors? It's clear that you don't intend to leave them unnoticed. But how do you intend to locate them?" Sera asked has she looked to her diamond.

Rosabelle sat in thought for a moment before turning to Arnald. "How many members of the royal guard have been cleared?" She asked the head of the royal guard.

"I have cleared about 24 members of the guard of being traitors. I should be able to clear about 24 more members be the end of this week. I should also be able to make a list of suspected traitors by then has well, my diamond." Arnald explained calmly.

Rosabelle smiled at her friend in the same way she would when explaining a plan for a mission back when she was rose quartz of The Crystal Gems. "Arnald, you are to continue your investigation and keep me informed. Additionally, you are to reposition the trusted members of the guards to places that are strategically important.

They should be paired with members of the guard who you are either close clearing or suspecting of being a traitor. In the case of being suspected that of being a traitor, they should be placed in less strategic areas with a trusted guard to watch them so we can find prof of their betrayal. I also want 12 members of those trusted split into two groups of six, one to guard me, and one for Sera. Furthermore, I want you to keep me updated on your investigation."

"Yes, my diamond." Arnald nodded at her queen. Rosebelle nodded and thought about what to do about her royal mage. "As for you Sera you are to begin monitoring your visions and working out who it is that is weakening your seer alibies and how. Trust no one unless you can say with full certainty that they are not a traitor."

"Of course, if that is what you wish, my Diamond." Sera nodded with a smile. Rosabelle then thought for a moment before another Gemian entered the room.

"Did you call for me my Daimond?" the woman smiled softly has she walked up to the throne. Rosabell nodded and gestured for her to take her place alongside Arnald and Sera.

"Yes, I did Jaida there is something that must be addressed regarding the royal court. We have traitors among us... "Yes, my diamond, we understand." The three nodded with a nod. With that Rosabelle dismissed the three of them to begin working on her task.

The leader of the Pink Daimond court sighed has she prayed that this matter would be resolved shortly. Being a ruler with traitors in her court would certainly be an unwelcome challenge. She would need to be careful. Otherwise, it would be a major problem for her children regardless of which of them succeeded her as the pink diamond monarch.

I would like to just say the reason Pink Dimond/Rose Quartz acted in such a way that was, selfish to say the least, was because she was still a child and acted accordingly. It's just food for thought.
