twenty-four ; finals week

tuesday morning, 9:00 am, december 1st

considering the fact that the girls had finals coming up rather soon after the trial, they had rushed home the day after the friendsgiving at the sturniolos home and were studying diligently. vega on the other hand was busy filming her youtube video in her room.

"hey everyone, welcome back or welcome to my youtube channel. if you are new here, my name is vega veloz and all my socials are linked down below. i don't want to waste too much time on the introduction, i have three segments of this video." vega explained, pulling out the first part of the youtube video. "so as we all know, i was recently pictured with the sturniolo triplets at malerie's birthday party. yes, we are friendly with one another." vega nodded. "and because of that, nick sent me some space camp flavors, and chris gave me some of his fresh love, and i wanted to give an honest review on them.

vega started off with the space camp, explaining all the flavors nick had sent her. "he was kind enough to get me all the flavors, so there's strawberry frosting, birthday cake, salted caramel, tropical pineapple, sweet vanilla, coconut cream, juicy watermelon, wild cherry, and frosted mint." vega showed the packaging, as well as the different colored tubes of product. "i love how large they are. i always lose my tiny little chapsticks in my purse. we all know i carry big purses, i hate a small purse, the whole point of a purse is to carry a bunch of things. but anyway, i never lose these in my purses. they smell divine, i want to eat them all. nick should make perfumes or lotions or something... or sell candy." vega shook her head, refocusing. "but yes, i certainly do love them and i know this right here is like over $100 worth of space camp, so i'm incredibly thankful to nick for giving these to me."

vega moved on, trying on the fresh love. "i just know for fact, that if i knew how good chris' brand was, and he didn't give me anything, i definitely would have purchased them on my own. they are heavy, and thick and trap in all the warmth. i've been at the library and running around my college campus in the cold, and never once did i freeze." vega twirled around in her fresh love hoodie, explaining more details of the hoodie.

then the third and final part of her video, she was talking about sam's brand. it was a montage of his next drop, and how vega had been working as a model for his newest drop. "so definitely go shop space camp, and fresh love, and do not forget about sam's brand, i have his page linked down below. he's having a sale all of december, 30% off, so go and buy your loved ones a good christmas gift." vega lifted her camera, smiling and kissed it gently. "muah, i'll see you next time lovers." vega winked and then ended the video, shutting off her camera and setting it aside. she'll post that later this week, but the crushing reality of finals was weighing her down.

sure, vega could realistically drop out (save some money) and focus on her youtube career, but what about after youtube wasn't paying the bills anymore? there is going to be a day, definitely not now, but soon, where being a youtuber isn't cool anymore. sure there were people like baylen lavine, always looking for the kid in himself, having fun and being reckless (in the best way), or even mr. beast who was kinda getting up there in age (no hate to mr. beast (well kinda hate bc he freaks me out a lot... like i'm terrified of mr. beast))

vega wanted a bit more for herself and fashion and modeling, the arts, all sounded great. she was getting interested in working back stage for movies and tv shows, being the clothing designer, or maybe even working on artists and being their clothing designers for concerts and tours. of course, she'd never totally forget about youtube, but it wasn't everything, she hadn't even intended on youtube being a money source. but if it wasn't for youtube, she'd probably be joining sammy at target.

malerie and camille were sitting at the kitchen table downstairs, snacking on random candies and junk food, drinking peach tea while all cozy with heavy sweaters and sweatpants. not only was the dread of college finals filling the entire house, the girls were a bit freaked out for camille too.

she had a few weeks until her performance and there was a scout in the crowd. looking for people to invite to a big school back home in new york. one filled with amazing opportunities. mal and vega would be upset if cami wasn't picked to be invited to the school, knowing that their friend had worked day in and day out, blood (literally), sweat (literally), and tears (literally), throughout the whole process. but then again, if she did get picked, she'd have to go back home to new york and stay there.

no late nights watching tv, no more listening to loud beethoven at 5 in the morning, no more pilates princess aesthetic filled laundry, no more recording her practicing at home for hours just for camille to watch back later, no more 'does this leo make me look fat?', no more talking about chris, no more drives in the beetle with the top down, no more camille.

they would have to find someone else to live with them or move out. living in la was expensive, no doubt about that, but mal and vega had worked hard securing a life of their own. one without malerie's grandmother breathing down her neck, one without the reminder that her dad had left, that daniel had ruined half her life. they were building a life in their tiny la town and the possibility of cami moving out was going to be a huge change for all of them.

and camille, she loved her parents dearly, but the thought of being trapped on that farm again, her only out being dance, brought in a feeling of unease. just because she grew up in a mansion on a farm, it didn't mean she was happy.

but there was no time for that now, studying was much too important to them.

vega eventually returned to the kitchen from her room, pouring over textbooks and math problems again. they all passed around snacks and talked, getting sidetracked from their work.

vega looked up at the girls, a thought suddenly passing through her. "i have some extra money this month, my mom didn't have any extra payments to make or anything, do you guys wanna do something fun?"

camille and mal looked at one another, nodding profusely. "cool." vega looked back down at her textbooks, chewing on the tip of her pencil. "so you're not gonna say anything?"

"let's just say that it's gonna happen during winter break." vega says mysteriously. "and we may be gone for more than a day." mal and cami share another look, curiously watching vega as she chews on her pencil again. the gold necklace resting across her chest glinting in the sunlight streaming in through the windows.

december 7th, saturday afternoon, 2:30 pm

by now, vega's plans for winter break had already been paid for, she had only requested some additional help from camille and malerie without giving away exactly what she was doing for them. it was going to be a surprise, until probably the day before. there were going to be a few thing's the girls would have to do before being there, or else she'd hear all these complaints from cami and mal and she wasn't in the mood for it.

'you didn't let me get my nails done!', 'i could've picked out a better outfit!', 'why'd you let my dye my hair! it doesn't match the vibe!' and so on, and so on. she was already dreading all the possibilities that could come with a surprise like the one she had planned. she wasn't going to let any of them do anything too drastic with their appearance in case they didn't like it come the day of vega's surprise.

but saturday, vega was completely free. she had been studying in the library, the kitchen table, the coffee table, staying up late. she had even gotten so strict on studying, one night she had left on her own to go to the spot, and even took her textbook and notebook with her. she felt like everything was going wrong with her. she'd never been so into school like this before. but college was different than high school. and she didn't have someone's son yapping her head off every 10 seconds and refusing to let her learn. so that was a plus.

but today, sam had specifically requested vega's attention. so they were sitting in a starbucks, sipping on coffee's and trying out the winter holiday drinks slowly.

they had been in there since the morning and had no plans on leaving any time soon. there were snacks in there, a bathroom, they could people watch and talk gossip. "so how's nick?" vega asked, although she definitely knew the answer. mal and nick had face timed last night, talking non-stop about sam. vega didn't wanna embarrass him though.

"he's good. we're good." sam nodded. "i think we're going on our first real date tomorrow night." vega's eye's widened in shock as if she didn't know (she did). "wow, that's great. i'm happy for you two." sam nodded. "yeah, we're just a tad bit worried about what his fans are gonna say."

"oh please, if the fans actually were fans, they'd want the triplets to be happy. unless they were dating a bitch, then shit i'd probably be mad too." vega giggled lightheartedly, sipping on her 'cran merry' drink infused with coconut milk (or cream, she couldn't remember what the hell they called it). it smelled sweet like bubblegum, and was sweet too, cancelling out the sour taste of the cranberries. plus, it was a pretty light bubblgum shade of pink that she was obsessed with.

sammy stared down vega. "is there something different about you?" vega's eye's widened, setting the bubblegum colored drink down. "what? no." vega shook her head. she hadn't cut or dyed her hair, no new tattoos or piercings yet. sam's eye's narrowed, taking in every inch of vega. "no, no... i know you better than anyone. there's definitely something different about you."

"me?" vega pointed at herself, still not understanding what sammy was trying to get at. she didn't even do her makeup any differently. "this is a new top." she tugged at the fabric, thinking it was her choice of clothing. it was just a tad bit out of her comfort range, but it was something she thought was cute and mal had been happy to make it for her. "no not the top, i can tell malerie's work from a mile away."

vega tugged nervously at her earring, very overwhelmed with the sudden attention all on her. "the necklace." sam decided. "that's what's new." vega's hand dropped, covering the necklace and playing with the charm locket. "what about it?"

"that's what's new. where's it from, that shit is gorgeous." sam admired, leaning in closer to her chest. "stop it." vega chuckled, pushing his head back. "stop staring at my tits."

"i'm not staring at your tits." sam's eye's rolled, sitting back in his comfy chair again. "well they don't know that." vega's head tilted to the side where a family had recently sat down, and the teenage girl was staring at vega and sam intently. 'oh' sam mouthed. "shit. uhm my bad." vega's head dropped in slight embarrassment and a bit of humor. "but still. that isn't one of malerie's designs is it?"

"no." vega replied shortly. mal had gotten into jewelry making recently. as embarrassed as vega was about the whole situation, she wasn't about to lie. sam looked at her with that expression that meant 'that's it?', so vega kept talking. "matt got it for me."

"matt? like sturniolo, matthew 'devil incarnate' sturniolo, your mortal enemy matt sturniolo?" sam asked questioningly, very confused, rightfully so. "yes, keep your voice down. yes the devil incarnate himself."

"why? i thought you hated each other?" vega shrugged, swirling her cran merry around in her hand, the ice making a sloshing sound as it swished in her plastic cup. "i thought so. but i think he was just trying to get in my head or something, i dunno." vega gripped onto the necklace tightly. "was there a reason or just, here's a necklace i got you."

"apparently chris is gonna surprise camille at her ballet performance, and was getting her a gift. matt saw this necklace and i guess he thought of me?"

sam's eyes narrowed once again. "what does that even mean?"

"i don't know. i hope he doesn't think this signifies peace of anything, i still want his head on a stick." her hand dropped, picking at the piece of thread sticking off her ripped jeans. "then i guess you didn't drop on your knees for him? dunno why, that shit looks expensive."

"ew no!" vega shrieked, a shudder running down her spine. thinking of her in any sexual encounter with a man could put her in shock, but with matt? she'd rather die than think about it. "and you need to learn how to keep your voice down!" vega threated, pointing her straw at his chest. she stabbed ot back in her drink, mixing the cranberries into the drink and watching them disappear in the pink liquid. "don't ever say that again." vega continued, shaking her head the whole time.

"right sorry. like you'd never do the devil."

"dude!" vega scoffed. there were too many people in the starbucks, like the teenage girl sitting beside them. she could possibly be a fan of vega, or even a fan of the triplets. she looked around 16, maybe eighteen the oldest. she's like right at their demographic. and talking about him, matt, in such in inappropriate way was... unspeakable.

she could go and report back to all her little friends and other fans saying that she met vega in a starbucks and wants to screw matthew sturniolo, vega was already stressed and tired as it was. she did not need rumors spread about her wanting to fuck the man she despised the most. she knew she'd never beat the dating allegations, them being 'sex active' online would not help the case. "don't tell anyone about this, or i'll kill you." vega threatened and sam nodded. "sure babe."

vega huffed, still feeling uneasy. vega had vowed long ago that she would never let a man touch her like that again. not after what daniel had put her through.

Daredevils!

Overall, not one of my favorite episodes but by far my favorite ending because oh boy what a gut punch of feelings!

First, look at how he set this up. There is no way shawn thought this would work so he 100% knows these kids are only there to see him crash into this kid. Also, im guessing the actor for gus was unavailable, but i like to think hes not there because he knew Shawn always intended to crash into him.

Lol what are you talking about henry? He’s got like 9 years of life here and a third of it was in diapers. Stfu

This is random, but is this the only time we’ve seen the pinball machine? I dont recall it being in later eps. I’ll have to keep an eye out now.

So far my favorite pineapple reveal. Should i start playing find the pineapple?

Probably the dumbest thing Shawns ever done. also, I’m guessing Vancouver roof tops were out of the question, cause that green screen be working real hard haha

The first time i watched this show i was in middle school, so all of the references, went completely ignored by me. Now im picking up on references ive never heard before. Like who Aldo nova is.

Gemcitabine and capecitabine are actually pancreatic cancer treatments and they even showed it correctly (the one being an IV the other a tablet) so major kudos to psych for the attention to detail.

As for the lassie sideplot. Eh. I can see what Vick was trying to say, but at the same time, if Lassie is getting complaints because he’s throwing little tantrums then Vick should have handled it instead of telling Juliet to. Plus, Lassie is the type to respect authority, so it would’ve meant more if it had come from her anyways. Though, i do find it funny that Vick told her to handle it, and Jules’ interpretation of that was “i gotta find him a date,” when she probably meant like, beat the sense into him haha i will say though, i liked the resolution of Lassie going from i don’t need your help, to please, i need your help. I think thats good growth for him, but i think it was a little sloppy in the execution. I think it could’ve been better if lassie actually did get in trouble with Vick and Lassie had to work on not letting his personal life affect work as much and make that the focus. OR, if you wanted to keep the relationship stuff, you could forgo Vick getting involved at all and keep it simple. Jules feels bad for lassie getting rejected again and tries to set him up the whole episode, then when they have that bit with the prostitute, thats when he accepts her help (because again he has terrible instincts. Like, how did he make it this far as a cop. Truly astounding.)

NOW ABOUT THAT ENDING! Ohmygod! First of all, one of the rare Psych ep’s that doesnt have an actual murderer or even victim. They just got swept up into a poor dying mans attempt at suicide. I love that Shawn doesn’t tell anyone and is honoring his right to die. I think thats a very bold message to make on a cable show. But i also love that hes actually really nervous because he does want to convince him not to go through with it. and then after he left, Its one of the few occasions where we can actually see him questioning if he made the right decision. You can see how much he hopes his words resonated with him enough that it saves his life. Plus it was so smart to keep the camera on Shawn to watch his reaction. It kept you in that tense moment with him so you can feel the relief shawn has when he landed the trick. Such a great scene and possibly one of my favorites in the series.

P.S this is my favorite bit lol Gus is so much funnier to me this watch. I think the first time i watched Psych i pitied him a lot, so that anytime he looked kind of foolish i just felt bad for him haha but damn, Dulé is so freaking funny

It is with great joy and great belatedness that I post my first Uncharted piece in ages. Thank you for the lovely ask, anon. :)

⋆ Sam Drake - Eating Headcanons ⋆

Two words: scarcity mindset.

After running away from Saint Frances’s, to claim money was tight is to be telling some humorous bit, Money was borderline non-existent. And as such, came what the Drake boys do best: theft.

Liquor stores were their easiest, and most consistent source. Sam still takes great pride in telling his many stories revolving around ‘cashier meet-cutes’ disguising their proudest heist to date: a 12-year-old Nathan smuggling canned goods under a moth-holed hoodie.

Because of this, gas station snacks: twinkies, Lays chips, slurpees, etc. all tend to give him this simultaneous sense of nostalgia and nausea. Like when you’re eating eggs and all of a sudden, your body gags on the next bite.

But on an especially shitty day, expect him to be gobbling a Big Gulp and a half-frozen hot dog on the nearest street corner, with a half-smoked cigarette still sunken between his lips. It’s the way he wallows.

Secretly wants you to tell him how bad that shit is for him so he has an excuse to snottily spat back “who the ‘ell cares?”. He finds pride in not caring about anything. (He cares about everything.)

Getting fast food at the drive-thru? Man waves you off a total of three times claiming he doesn’t want nothing before proceeding to eat half of your McNuggets without asking. He loves BBQ sauce and needs Tabasco on everything like it’s his will to live.

Big fan of spicy, sour, and tart, anything that makes your mouth pucker. Pretzels, salt and vinegar chips, cottage cheese, pickles, pineapple (😉). “What can I say? I admire a fruit that fights back!” — he snorts before taking a raw bite of a lemon, just to squirm you out.

Maybe a bit of the masochist in him.

When he and Nate were able to get proper gigs (12-year-old Nathan: illegally, of course), they were able to progress to the simplest of grocery outlet options. Eggs, instant ramen packets, canned vegetables that were 9 out of 10 times eaten raw out of the can with a fork, and more nothing-but-toast-for-dinner than they’d want to admit).

Sam and Nate spent most of their childhood eating their dad’s scrambled eggs and microwaved peas. When their mom passed, and dad released them to the state, Sam decided he’d only ever eat over-easy again.

Nate still chooses scrambled. He asks for cheese and green onions to split the difference, but always ends up only eating half of it before the memories come too strong and he has to push his plate away.

QUICK eater. MESSY eater. And I mean quick and messy.

Will use as minimal cutlery as possible, and if disposable, even better.

A scooper. Tends to be a chronic careless spiller with how frequently he tries to funnel all the last crumbs into his mouth, how quickly he chugs even a glass of water. (Most shirts of his are stained as a result.)

Tends to wait till the last possible moment to eat or drink anything. Breakfast basically doesn’t exist to him.

Spills more beverage down his chin and shirt than his mouth (but a wet t-shirt certainly isn’t the worst thing to happen. Especially not to Samuel Drake. ;)

Pizza order: Meat Lover’s with extra sausage. Maybe some green bell peppers when he finally compromises with Nate during movie night.

Never, ever orders (well, non-alcoholic) drinks when eating out. And only water when he finally lets himself cave. Otherwise, he’s stealing sips from the nearest patron’s Jarrito bottle (his favorite is Tamarind).

Doesn’t bother cleaning up his fruit peels or peanut shells, even around others. That shit’s going on the floor without a second look.

Surprisingly, a king and natural on the BBQ. Despite having so little in their childhood, Sam still tried to go hard on the holidays for Nathan’s sake. Fourth of July is still Nate’s favorite holiday exclusively because of Sam’s public park-smoked ribs and the long, bumpy motorcycle ride up the highest hill in whatever city they were currently loitering in, just to see the fireworks.

A dive bar master. Nate always orders whatever grease-covered appetizer they got in the back. Sam purposely keeps his stomach empty so there’s more room for whiskey. (Since nobody asked, incredible at pool, and will offer any woman in a twenty foot circumference a lesson. Cue the leaning chest over back, cue stick fantasy.)

A love language that was a total surprise to him is his partner cooking/baking something just for him, especially if it’s from scratch. Gets that rare, soft look in his eyes as he watches them carefully place each steaming plate onto the table. And trust, he’s not looking at the food when it happens.

Loves his partner in an apron. Like… loves his partner in an apron.

Make him food, and as soon as it’s eaten, he’s eating you after. ;)

When he finally settles down post-Madagascar, it’s a fucking struggle to get him to go grocery shopping at all for the first few months.

Self-punishment, maybe.

Nathan buys them himself instead and leaves them on the porch of Sam’s trailer park home when he’s too depressed to answer the door.

Basically has to be forced to eat actual meat and vegetables. For the first few months, he reverts and eats only familiar prison food. The same single pot of chili/beans for a whole week, half portions only for each meal. Uncooked canned carrots. Microwave popcorn when Nathan calls him asking if he’s eaten, and when Sam lies, it sounds more believable with the microwave droning in the background.

However, when he finally starts to pick himself back up, when he gets his first day job since prison, finally lets Nate buy him a used truck to get around, his first solo call from Sully, that’s when he finally starts to eat.

And when he finally feels like himself again, when he finally lets himself want to live again, the first hobby that Sam Drake takes up is cooking.

Chapter One: Catering.

Word Count:630

April 18th 2022. The date replayed in her head like an ongoing record that could never be shut off. An annoying itch in her brain. It was the day she lost someone she thought loved her. Rhea Ripley.

Liv recalls that day very clearly in her mind,never letting it slip away. She was so close to a victory but let Rhea down..then lost her. Everything in her mind was spiraling, she tried talking to Rhea backstage but was just ignored and pushed to the side. She felt hopeless and alone.

She finally teamed with Raquel and moved on, but just when things were going well..Rhea came crawling back to ruin it. Injuring her tag partner. “You know Liv..if only you would’ve listened to me when i offered you a spot in my group.” she would constantly remind Liv every single day..until she did the unthinkable. She injured Liv.

Rhea sat backstage every Monday, watching every match since Liv had, even traveling to Smackdown. She felt bad for stalking a former lover like this when she has Dominik but..Dominik had other plans with Damian anyway so it didn’t matter to her what she did that much.

Rhea glanced at her phone, looking at the time only to see a text from Damian saying he’ll be with Dominik for the night. She chuckled silently to herself knowing exactly what he meant, tucking her phone into her pocket before rising out of her slightly uncomfortable chair. She decided to head to catering to grab a small snack since she barely ate all day, but there she was. The woman she was stalking. Liv Morgan. They made eye contact for a split second before Liv turned her attention back to the bottle of water she was grabbing. Rhea could only smile, she knew deep down Liv still loved her and only masked it with hate.

Liv tried to ignore her and just drink her water peacefully while relaxing after her match that got interrupted by Becky Lynch. Little did she know Rhea had followed her there and was watching her every single move. She felt the couch she was sitting on sink next to her and froze, not daring to see who it was..until she heard that familiar voice. “Liv..had a great match out there hm?” Rhea spoke, breaking the silence between them. It was just them two alone in the room, giving Rhea granted access to do whatever she pleased. Liv finally decided to give Rhea a quick look, or so she thought. It was like she was in a trance all over again. She just couldn’t look away which tortured her.

Rhea smiled as she noticed this, setting the plate of fruit she had down on the small coffee table and scooting closer to Liv. Before Liv could even process what was happening, she was straddling Rhea’s lap kissing her. God how much she missed these soft lips of hers..suddenly snapping into reality and pulling herself off of Rhea. “Awe what’s wrong honey? 1) David often got teased for looking like Billy Idol, and while from his brothers and mate he found it funny, the whole pack would often end up feasting on a group of Surf Nazis because one of them made a loud, snarky comment in passing just trying to get under his skin…it always worked

2) David, before turning Dwayne and gaining a brother, used to spend his immortal life with Max which led him to visiting several different countries and states which he hated because he had had to travel in a coffin during the day and hope the no curious human opened the lid

3) Dwayne had several large bookshelves, full of books that he’s collected and stolen from both the boardwalk and his victims, books of every kind from Classics and documentaries to dark romances and biographies and he’s read almost every one of them

4) Marko is the only one to speak another language, and it shocks everyone to learn that he speaks fluent Italian

5) The only thing that Boys know about flowers is which ones to get in a bouquet when they fuck up and upset Y/n

6) Highest Body count? Definitely David, but that’s solely because of the fact that he’s the oldest, Marko is a very close second which may be shocking as Dwayne is the second oldest but Marko is the most angry and violent of the boys which leads to more deaths on his part

7) Marko is the most sadistic of the boys, which may be surprising to outsiders since they view him as the ‘smallest’ and the ‘One that’s always smiling’

8) The best at Math? Probably Dwayne but they’ve never stopped to find out

9) David would definitely give someone the wrong directions and take the opportunity to get them somewhere isolated so that he and the boys could have a snack, Paul however would do it just to be funny

10) Paul would 100% find it funny to volunteer as an extra in a zombie movie, especially because the camera won’t be able to see him so the scared humans just look possessed

11) Probably Dwayne, none of the other boys really read anything but he would never admit to it

12) Dwayne or David when it comes to trivia, depending on the type of trivia

13) Paul absolutely gives the best hugs, always knowing when one is needed but all of the boys give amazing hugs, David’s are so rare that it’s a special thing to experience, Dwayne is strangely always the warmest despite never wearing a shirt so its always wonderful and Marko’s hugs are always random and involve being twirled around

14) Paul or Marko would definitely be the ones to fall from the tree, just from fucking around with each other which ends up getting them both hurt and in need of a meal

15) Dwayne is the only one to enjoy pineapple on their pizza which makes their mate happy as she loves the same thing and she thought she was the only one
