pikmin 4 spoilers! it's over a year old now so I don't really feel bad

finishing up my deathless runs of the 4 games, so I'm back in the Pikmin brain. Anyways brainrot about the bootleg Koppaite Trio in Pik 4

They're really cool to me! I love that even though Hocotatians are known to be the treasure hunters, these three form an unlikely trio to find treasure to help solve the food crisis. A skilled mechanic, an ex-ranger, and a veterinarian! I also love that they're each individually connected to part of the Pik3 Trio. How did they meet? Did the Pik3 Trio know about how they're tangentially connected before their mission to save Koppai (ignore timeline shenanigans)?

Don Bergman is also super interesting to me. His nickname for Charlie, his old partner, is Ducky! I know it's comedic that his scar came from him and Charlie fighting over a piece of food, but imagine the angst potential. Imagine the two friends who were once partner rangers being stretched too thin during the food crisis, changing them and tearing them apart. Imagine adding personal stakes.

Aunty Bea: trans lesbian(I want y’all to take a look at Brittany’s descriptions of her and tell me she isn’t gay as fuck, especially with the dusk pustule notes)

Grandpa Drake: doesn’t really talk about his sexuality at all, but the grandkids suspect he’s bi in some capacity

Lin(Oliwife): I think she would be the same as Olimar, either a straight ally or demi

Sagittarius(Olimar’s son): bi(he and Libra came out to Olimar as teenagers)

Libra(Olimar’s daughter): lesbian(she looked at Brittany and Momo one day and went “I can date girls”)

Santi: honestly I flip flop around his gender a lot, but he is gay or maybe achillean, she/he for transfem Santi

There be those other two Koppaites from the other set of Koppaites. No I didn't forget about them, I needed to figure out how to draw their head shapes. (The top two sketches are my very first tries)

Made a handy dandy height/size comparison chart for all the characters in Pikmin! There's a huge number of characters in pikmin 4 who use the base models of character creation, and the sizes are consistent. This is the best accuracy I could get, since model comparison isn't viable due to many models being different sizes and getting resized in-game, but here's all the heights written out from tallest to smallest.

5.2cm - Moss 3.5cm - Oatchi (1.6 as a baby) 2.6cm - Collin, Shepherd, other characters with the tall/slim and tall/buff base model, Louie for some reason 2.3cm- Charlie, Dingo, other characters with the medium/chubby base model. Potentially the President, but I can't find or create a good size comparison screenshot. 2.1cm - Brittany 1.9cm - Olimar, Alph, other characters with the smallest base model

-There's a bit of a discrepency on Olimar;s size because of Alph- Olimar's size in early games was 1.9 cm. Alph's is purportedly around 1.6 cm. Since I can't find a source for Alph's size, I'll stick to Olimar as reference only. -Alph is maybe a teensy touch smaller than Olimar in game, but he's actually a bit taller in the menus. We'll compromise and go with a matching height. -Olimar is the same height as the smallest player (Pom for example) -The character creation base models are the same size as the unique NPCs who use the base, for example, Collin is the same size as the tall/buff base. -Interestingly, Brittany and Charlie are smaller than Nelle and Don Bergman, their modern-model counterparts. -Louie's size matches the tallest modern model, interestingly.

Hope this was interesting! I certainly think it is. Maybe i'll do some more size comparisons to unique objects of the world (enemies, ships, etc) in the future if there's demand.

Hey everyone! Admin here! Sorry I've been away for a while. I've had school stuff to take care of.

I've decided, after seeing a lot of criticism, to make some new HC's for my Pikmin AU, starting with Yonny.

Now, I've actually been informed recently that Yonny's gender IS male, buuuut I've never really seen Yonny AS a man, so I've decided to come up with this HC for them in my AU.

Yonny HC:

Yonny was born with a rare condition called Ambiguous Genitalia, meaning that they were born without... Stuff. I won't say what stuff because... You get the idea.

Their parents ended up referring to them as "she" and "her" , so naturally, she was always told she was a girl all her life.

She even goes to say, later in her life, she identifies as both female and nonbionary, but never male, since she was teased as a kid for not having a gender, and being called a boy felt offensive to her.

Oh, and before I forget, Yonny was originally supposed to be a boy and even was born with a few male reproductive organs, but she ended up getting rid of them and getting surgery to become more of a lady.

So uh.. Yea! Yonny is Trans in my AU! 🏳️‍⚧️

Alph & Angel HC change:

I've decided to make a minor detail change in my ship with Alph and his gf I made for him, simply that I'm making Alph shorter than he already is and making Angel taller than him and just a wee bit smaller than Brittany. Nothing too big! I just wanted to change up the couple dynamic!

Louie HC:

So, many of you know I've made Louie autistic and have a speech disorder. I'm keeping this the same, I just wanted to address that the speech disorder has nothing to do with him being autistic, he just has a hard time talking and expressing himself. I saw a lot of people complain about it, and I'm here to say that y'all just need to calm down. I'm not making Louie a dumbass XD

Sibling HC:

I've decided to make Dobbs (Don Bergman) Charlie's younger brother, keeping Nelle as Brittany's twin sister, and ofc sticking to the canon of Yorke being Alph's older brother. Although, I am switching from Yorke x Nelle to Dobbs x Nelle simply because I'm working on making a big sister for Angel.

Louie & Yonny DNA HC:

In my AU, Yonny and Louie both are Omnivores, which means they can pretty much have anything. This includes meat. This is because both Louie and Yonny's fathers are from a planet, which I have not named yet, which are carnivores and thrive on eating meat.

Pikmin design change:

I've changed the pikmin from being super fluffy to just normal fluffy. That's it :3

Molly & Elizabeth design changes:

Both Molly and Elizabeth are getting design changes. Molly's really only getting a new color pallet while Elizabeth is being changed a lot. I'll probably make colored sketches, it just depends.

since i designed Pikmonster AU Yorke earlier, it only felt right to draw Dobbs and Nelle, too

little non-AU-specific headcanon to add context to my choice of monster for Dobbs: i headcanon that, to mirror him calling Charlie "Ducky", "Doggy" used to be his nickname from Charlie... so Ducky is the doggy, and Doggy is the ducky. i just thought it'd be funny.
