gaz with photo conscious f!reader

were you the luckiest girl in the world having the most handsome man ever as your boyfriend? yes.

are you also absolutely infuriated that he was very, very photogenic?

yes.

and this was especially true when you two were taking pics of eachother.

taking pictures of gaz was the easiest photography gig of your life, he was already devastatingly handsome and the camera loved it.

in contrast, you were basically a drill sergeant with the way you instructed gaz to hold your phone, or change angles or positions.

only to proceed to furiously delete all photos of yourself.

"love, you're perfect in all of them." he would try and stop you.

"it's OK." you reassure him, he was always so sweet when you were like this.

you knew you were being pedantic but if you were honest, you didn't want to embarass gaz with a bad photo of you on his page.

no matter what, you could always see your awkward, practiced smile, the tense stance of your body or the bad spot of your hair.

so when you had finally deleted the last photo of yourself, you assured gaz it was OK and told him they should just enjoy their date.

gaz was silent but didn't press further.

so you continued your date on the beach, getting icecream on the boardwalk, smelling the saltwater as waves lapped at your legs and enjoying the view of your boyfriend washed in the setting sun's glow.

later that evening, you're settling down and flicking through the photos you took, checking with gaz to confirm the ones you could post.

however, he also takes out his phone and holds it out for you.

"I want to post all of these, sweetheart."

confused, you take his phone. there you see a picture of you walking along the beach shoreline. your smile was wide, not the practiced, meek one you pulled for photos, and you looked so relaxed.

you look at gaz with wide eyes. that's how you looked?

he only smiled, "swipe through, there's heaps more."

you looked down and did so, finding more photos of yourself in a way that no one had ever captured. you were so overwhelmed, desperately fighting the urge to burst into tears.

instead, you pulled him into a kiss. hoping he could tell how much this meant to you.

"how?" you ask him as you both break for a breath.

he raises a brow in confusion. but you can't put it into words. how did you find this version of me that looks OK? how did you find a form of me that I like?

something on your face must give it away because he only grins and kisses you once more.

"that's just how I see you, love. the most beautiful woman in the world."
