Photobiomodulation Therapy for Improved Well-Being
Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), or low-level light therapy (LLLT), is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall well-being. This innovative therapy has gained attention for its potential to address various health concerns by supporting the body’s natural healing processes.
Understanding Photobiomodulation Therapy
At its core, photobiomodulation therapy uses red and near-infrared light to penetrate the skin and reach cells. Unlike harmful ultraviolet (UV) light, the wavelengths used in PBMT are safe and non-damaging. The therapy works by stimulating mitochondria, the energy-producing components of cells, which in turn enhances cellular function and repair.
This stimulation increases the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the molecule responsible for energy in the body. By boosting ATP production, PBMT helps cells recover from damage and operate more efficiently, improving tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and improving overall health.
Key Benefits of Photobiomodulation Therapy
1. Pain Relief. PBMT has been widely studied for its ability to alleviate pain, particularly in arthritis, muscle strains, and neuropathic pain. By reducing inflammation and promoting tissue repair, PBMT offers a non-invasive alternative to pain management without the side effects of medication.
2. Enhanced Recovery. Athletes and individuals recovering from injuries can benefit from PBMT’s ability to accelerate tissue repair and reduce muscle fatigue. The therapy promotes faster wound healing and improves circulation, essential for recovery.
3. Mental Well-Being. In addition to physical health benefits, PBMT has been linked to improved mental well-being. It may help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety by supporting brain health and reducing oxidative stress, a key factor in mood disorders.
4. Skin Health. PBMT also improves skin health by stimulating collagen production, reducing wrinkles, and promoting a youthful complexion. It is an effective tool for managing conditions like acne and eczema.
5. Immune Support. Regular PBMT sessions have been shown to enhance immune function, making the body more resilient to infections and illnesses.
How to Incorporate PBMT into Your Life
Photobiomodulation therapy can be administered in various ways, from clinical settings to at-home devices. The treatment is typically painless, with sessions lasting anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the targeted area and condition.
For best results, consult a healthcare provider or therapist experienced in PBMT to develop a tailored plan. Factors such as wavelength, intensity, and duration significantly affect the therapy’s effectiveness.
A Bright Future in Wellness
The growing body of research supporting photobiomodulation therapy highlights its potential as a safe and effective tool for enhancing well-being. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, a boost in recovery, or overall vitality, PBMT offers a promising avenue for improved health.
By harnessing the power of light, photobiomodulation therapy empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being, paving the way for a brighter and healthier future.

Talking Treatments
The scary thing: There’s currently no cure for Long Covid.
The scarier thing: Most treatments for Long Covid are considered experimental.
The scariest thing: Most doctors refuse to help people with Long Covid — or acknowledge Long Covid as a condition.
Because of our failing medical system, Long Covid patients are usually forced to sit and suffer. And those patients who try to be proactive? Well, we’re usually also forced to do our own research and advocate for ourselves. Mind you, most of us don’t have a medical degree or a medical background. But, we try our very best to make sense of the medical journals, lab research, and clinical studies… because, quite frankly, there’s not much else we can do.
I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent trying to learn about viruses, chronic illnesses, Covid, and potential Long Covid treatments. I also can’t tell you how many screenshots I’ve saved or bookmarks I’ve created. This whole experience has made me regret not going to medical school...
No matter, over the last couple of months, I’ve compiled a list of potential Long Covid treatments that I’ve already tried or would like to try, and I wanted to share it on my blog. I don’t expect many to see this post, but if my list helps even one person: mission accomplished.
So, here we go. And I think I’ve already made this clear, but just as a reminder: I am not a medical provider.
💜 An anti-inflammatory diet:
Honestly, I’m convinced that changing my diet saved my life. Long Covid has made my body ridiculously sensitive to sugar, salt, caffeine, and inflammatory foods. Treats, like candy, cookies, soda, chocolate, and salty potato chips, cause horrible palpitations and joint pain, and I try my hardest to avoid them completely. Because of this, my diet now consists of only heart-healthy, anti-inflammatory foods, like pistachios, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, broccoli, beets, mixed greens, sweet potatoes, fish and grass-fed meats.
If you’re looking to transform your diet and/or make your meals more Long-Covid-friendly, I highly recommend checking out Dr. Gundry’s research. His theories and books are very interesting and insightful, and they’ve helped me greatly.
Dr. Gundry’s book is titled “The Plant Paradox,” and his list of anti-inflammatory foods can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T88T9Zy8t-QYnfn4Sh6zglB1GnX5pV7N/view
Turmeric tea is also something I drink every day! It’s suggested that turmeric can significantly reduce inflammation and help with long Covid.
🧡 Infrared light therapy & sunshine:
It’s actually proven that infrared light therapy and sunshine help Long Covid patients recover. My husband and I recently ordered the Neuronic helmet, and I’m really looking forward to trying it out. The helmet can be found here:
I encourage everyone to watch the following video. It discusses the benefits of infrared light, and its effects on the brain and body.
youtube
💚 Grounding:
I just recently started using “grounding” bedsheets. It’s hard to say whether or not they’ve actually helped reduce inflammation and joint pain, but I think they have. There’s definitely science behind grounding.
🩵 Methylene blue:
This is something I’ve yet to try (and I’m skeptical), but I just ordered a bottle. We’ll see how it goes. Drinking blue dye seems a little odd to me, but it’s worked for many people with Long Covid. Maybe it’ll work for me. I’ll be sure to share updates.
❤️ EBOO therapy with dialysis filters:
This is something else I’ve yet to try. Apparently, Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation (EBOO) is helping many will chronic illnesses, including Long Covid — especially when dialysis filters are used. I’d like to try this in the near future. The procedure is expensive, though.
🩷 Ivermectin:
This may be incredibly controversial, but I’ve personally used ivermectin and I strongly believe it has the potential to help. When I was diagnosed with Covid in 2022, my family and I had access to ivermectin — and no, not at Tractor Supply. When my symptoms were worst, I took 24mg of ivermectin. I can’t say for certain that it helped me during my infection, but within days of taking ivermectin, my health improved.
I’ve also taken a few ivermectin tablets over the last couple of months, and it’s worth noting that any time I took ivermectin; my fever subsided and my symptoms weren’t as severe for several days.
(Side note: I guess ivermectin is now prescribed to some cancer patients. Research suggests it can also help combat cancer!)

To summarize: I encourage all of you to do your own research, explore options, and figure out what’s best — and safest — for you. ❤️
I hope this helps… even just a little.
I’ll continue to share potential treatments and personal experiences on my blog, and keep praying for a cure!
