I’m a gay liberal type, but I can’t deny that Trump won and MAGA is the way of the future. Can you give me the Red Pill so I can serve our nation and obey Trump loyally and obediently?
You arrive at the tall building in New York at the day and time instructed. As you step inside, you feel a little out of place in your blue polo and jeans, pride flag pin proudly on your chest. Everyone in the building is dressed professionally, from the big bosses to the receptionists. Before you can even consider leaving, one of the receptionists calls your name. She directs you up the elevator to the 23rd floor, where one of the head honchos works. The entire floor is his office. You can hardly imagine the type of man who needs that much excessive space.
Arriving at the office, the boss's receptionist tells you he is currently in a meeting on another floor, but to feel free to wait in his office. You step inside, finding an office space even grander than you imagined. The whole place screams excess wealth. It's only missing tacky gold decorations everywhere to bring it over the top.
On the desk sits a bottle of water and a note addressed to you, telling you to make yourself comfortable and the boss should be around in just a few minutes. You find it a bit strange the bottle is already open, but take a few sips anyway. It tastes almost sweet, like strawberry and raspberry combined.
You decide to take a quick look around as you take another sip of the water. It's not every day you get to see how the other side lives, right? You first arrive at a framed diploma on the wall, proudly announcing a bachelor's degree in business from Harvard. You try to imagine having the ability to attend a school like that. But why would you be imagining it? You remember attending Harvard yourself, getting in easily thanks to your father's connections at the school. You spent the next four years earning your own business degree. Kina funny how you and the executive had that in common. Something to bring up when he came in.
You open up a nearby closet to discover a suit inside, likely a backup in case of a spill. It's a smart move, you think, as you sip more water. You do the same thing at your office. You can tell the suit is of the highest quality too. This man has great taste in fashion. It reminds you of the suit you're wearing actually. You fix your tie absentmindedly as you think about your suit collection back home. You feel almost naked without one sometimes. Not to mention your husband loves the way you look in one, and you can't help wanting to turn him on. Your eyes glance down to the pride flag still pinned to your lapel. It was a gift from him on your one month anniversary and you've worn it ever since, even to your wedding.
Smiling at the memories, you move over to a small side table covered in pictures. You recognize President Trump in one of the photos, as well as a few other conservative figures, but the woman and children who appear in most of the photos you don't recognize. You drink even more water as they suddenly become familiar to you. How could you not recognize your own wife and kids? You'd met your wife at church when you moved to New York over two decades ago and immediately fell in love. You married shortly after and your first baby girl was on the way within the month. You love to spoil her and her sister, but you can afford to give them what they want. Being incredibly rich helps a lot with that. You smirk as you think about your bank accounts (including your offshore ones of course).
Finishing the last of the water, you sit down at your desk to get back to work. Going down memory lane is always nice, but Trump Tower isn't going to run itself. You've been friends with the president since you were first hired here, quickly rising through the ranks to reach the top of the food chain. You knew he was going to continue to make America great again, especially for men like yourself with his economic policies!
You look over the paperwork on the desk, signing a few business deals with the big tech companies bowing down to the Red Wave. You smiled to yourself as you looked to the future and all that lay ahead for you and your favorite boss. You page your receptionist outside, telling her to hold your calls for a few hours.
You had work to do.

Grocery Store - Marius/Daniel - Slice of Life - 1340 words
Just a little slice of life ficlet written for the @vamptember prompt "Grocery Store." I love imagining the immortals in stores and shops, IDK why but it's always fun to picture so I couldn't resist.
Full text beneath the cut.
The air was electric with the impending storm and it made Daniel’s hair stand on end. Marius hurried him along the sidewalk, wanting to get home before the downpour.
They made it two more blocks before thunder cracked overhead and the sky opened. Rain pelted down in great sheets, raindrops slamming into the pavement with such force that they bounced back up and soaked the legs of his jeans. Daniel spotted the bright lights of the supermarket across the street and pulled Marius toward it.
They rushed inside, the automatic doors dinging as they closed behind them. Daniel’s sweatshirt dripped water on the floor. Marius watched the rain through the glass, squeezing the wetness out of his long hair. He glanced at Daniel. “Are you all right?”
Daniel bit back a sarcastic retort about how he was not the Wicked Witch of the West who could be melted with water. “A little wet but I think I’ll survive.”
“I was sure we’d make it home before it started,” Marius said, clearly annoyed that he’d misjudged the timing.
Daniel shrugged. “It’s the weather. Not even our Norse friend Thorne can hold back the thunder.”
Marius smiled faintly and then sighed. “I guess we can remain here for a bit, see if it stops.”
Daniel noticed one of the cashiers watching them. The store was open for several hours yet but it was pretty empty. He grabbed a hand basket and urged Marius deeper into the store. They could at least pretend they were doing more than riding out the rain.
They meandered through the produce section. Daniel picked up a pineapple. He could just barely remember how it had tasted: sweet, tart, acidic. “Did you ever get to try one of these?”
Marius shook his head.
“Shame.” He set the pineapple down. Sometimes the things some of the older vampires had never gotten to experience astounded him: tomatoes, chocolate, Spaghetti-Os in a can. Things he’d always taken for granted. In another five hundred years, who knew what new wonders Daniel would find strange or incomprehensible, or simply never get to taste?
Marius wandered in front of an endcap stacked with soft drinks. As he stood there in front of cans of Pepsi and Dr. Pepper, Daniel was struck suddenly by how out of place Marius looked here inside a garishly lit supermarket. Even in the modern clothes he wore tonight—khakis and a red polo shirt—he had an air of timelessness that made him stand out, exacerbated by the pallor of his marble skin.
Of course, any mortal who noticed something off would chalk it up to their imagination, but he looked so otherworldly that it made Daniel’s pulse race. He was beautifully inhuman. Daniel surreptitiously snapped a photo with his iPhone.
Marius turned, smiling indulgently, and Daniel felt his cheeks flush a little, sure Marius had heard his thoughts.
They moved on to the bakery section. There, they studied the display case of cakes, decorated with bright colored frostings and little sugar flowers.
“Incredible, isn’t it?” Daniel pointed to a cake with beautiful orchids in shades of pink and orange made out of icing.
“It is a fascinating use of colored sugar,” Marius said.
Daniel started to say something about the artistic merit of cake decoration but decided against it. He wasn’t in the mood to get roped into another debate about what constituted art.
He headed down the next aisle and found himself in front of an array of canned vegetables with glossy, colorful labels. Daniel lifted a can of peas from the shelf as Marius came up silently beside him.
“Armand used to love the canned food aisle,” Daniel said, remembering the first time he’d taken him to a grocery store. Armand had spent an hour lifting cans, reading the labels, and questioning Daniel about the contents. They’d bought a cart full of stuff, so much that they’d had to take a taxi back to their apartment, where Armand diligently opened every single can and dumped the contents out onto styrofoam plates to study it.
Daniel laughed at the memory, even as the ache of missing his maker wormed through him.
“New York is not that far,” Marius said softly.
Daniel sighed. He thought about that a lot, but he wasn’t ready. The stilted phone calls he and Armand shared were awkward and strange and Daniel didn’t know how to talk to him anymore. The thought of being in the same room as him again was overwhelming. He placed the can of peas back on the shelf.
“We can’t even get a mile back to our place,” Daniel quipped.
Marius smiled at the bad joke but Daniel caught something in his eyes, a sadness or a longing perhaps. It was gone before he could be sure, replaced with something more playful. “Is that a challenge?”
“You know I enjoy challenging you, but that was merely an observation,” Daniel said, purposely bumping Marius’ shoulder as he moved down the aisle. “Come on, Old Man, I’ll blow your mind.”
He heard Marius laugh softly as he turned the corner to the next aisle. When Marius reached him, Daniel gestured to the shelves full of colorful cereal boxes with cartoon mascots and big, colorful fonts.
“Behold, the modern breakfast of champions,” Daniel said.
Amusement crinkled the skin around Marius’ eyes. “I know what cereal is, Daniel. I do watch television occasionally.”
“But did you ever imagine such a thing when you were young, mortal, and hungry in the morning?”
“Did I ever envision an illustrated tiger trying to sell me a box of sweetened grain? No, I can’t say that I did.”
Daniel sighed. “Sometimes I think about how much has changed in the few decades since I was mortal and then I try to imagine how different everything will be in another hundred years, let alone a thousand.”
“Does that worry you?” Marius asked.
Daniel shook his head. “I want to see how the world changes, what advancements are made, what new technologies and inventions appear. It’s part of why I wanted this.”
“But…” Marius pressed.
Daniel shrugged. “I guess I didn’t expect things to change so fast.”
Marius laughed, loud and boisterous, his voice ringing through the aisle. He put his arm around Daniel’s shoulders. “The longer you live, the faster things seem to change. The more you will step out of the house and realize the world is not the one you knew a century or even a decade before.”
Daniel stared at the glossy cereal boxes that now had metallic shiny letters decorating them. He couldn’t even remember what Frosted Flakes tasted like. “How do you handle it?”
Marius considered. “A passion for the world and the people in it, I suppose. A desire to discover what will happen next.”
“And that keeps you going?” Daniel asked.
Marius was silent for a long moment. “I endure because I must.”
“For yourself or for everyone else?”
Marius ruffled Daniel’s hair affectionately. “Always asking pointed questions.”
“You like that about me,” Daniel said wryly.
“Indeed I do.” Marius was silent for a long moment. “I believe surrounding ourselves with others is how we remain connected to the world and keep our desire to exist in it. Mortals and their art and creativity and philosophy and new wonders.” Marius’ arm slid down and around Daniel’s waist, tightening around him. “And there’s our own kind, of course. Never discount the power of connection to others who also endure.”
Daniel leaned against him, Marius’ body solid and powerful like it was made of his stone, his arm around Daniel like a marble vice, keeping him close and safe.
“I think that’s the key,” Daniel said. “Connection to our kind.”
“You’ve always been wise beyond your years.” Marius kissed the top of Daniel’s head and led him out of the aisle, back to the front of the store.
The rain had abated, becoming only a light drizzle. Daniel replaced his empty hand basket in the holder and they walked out into the damp night, arm in arm.

Just So
TW: mentions of suicide related information
I thought I would look at “Just So,” based on the “Bug-A-Bye” song post, to see if I could find any information there. I did find a few lines that could be related or seemed a bit suspicious.
A note to start, the singing on this one is way better than the way “Bug-A-Bye” is sung. And this one is sung without accompaniment, so it would stand to reason that “Just So” would be the one that is sung poorly or off pace. I wonder what that means?
So, the premise of the song is that Frank is tying his bow tie and Julie comes in. He is getting ready for a croquet game with the neighbors, led by Julie. Julie shows up in her bowling ball dress and tells Frank they are now doing hula hoop bowling ball croquet instead of just regular croquet (though I am sure there was some difference because Julie doesn’t play games the way they are designed.)
They start talking about how much Frank likes rules, and he starts singing this song about how he likes everything just so. Wally comes in and asks if Home can play croquet, so they decide to move the game to Home’s yard so Home can play, too. Julie goes to take care of this and tell Sally they are moving the opening ceremonies.
Wally stays with Frank and continues to talk to him about his rules thing, because he doesn’t understand. During this conversation, Barnaby busts in and we find out he has boots on his hand, because he is planning to be a horse, because he thinks they are playing polo. (Side note: Barnaby rushes in is a thing. This is a definitely crashing a conversation. It reminds me of when Barnaby joins the talk show and completely derails the interview—which was veering to Wally’s love life, or NightMind was hitting on him, not sure. I wonder if Barnaby is doing these things to control or disrupt what Wally says or does.)
Barnaby comes in and wrecks the song, sings a different song, and says he is off to take Wally to the game. Frank stays to put on the proper bow tie, now that Julie is wearing the bowling ball dress. (Something to remember for the idea that Frank and Julie are in a relationship. Is this couple matching or just Frank’s weird idea of what is appropriate for the game? There is also mention in this of Frank helping Julie get all the leaves out of her hair after she got launched on top of Howdy’s store. Yes,I went to see if I could find the green chalk on the map.)
Lyrics:
Let's see now.. right over left, under and through, fold on THIS side, down, up and around, pass it through and PULL- there! A perfectly tied Croquet Tie.
When I was reading this, I wondered if this didn’t have something nefarious to it, like that these were the directions to tie a noose or something. I’m not going to post the instructions to be doubly safe here, but it’s not incredibly off. I think that the pass through and pull is what made me think of it. It does match the bow tie instructions very closely through the beginning and middle, but gets kind of weird at the end, but it is hard to describe, I am sure. I’m going to go with maybe. Maybe it is a reference. I was mostly thinking back to some early concept art.
This art, which is early enough to still include Sunny, shows all the characters hanging (assumed by the feet) with Wally peering up over the bottom edge of the photo, wide eyed. I have always found this creepy but it is also one of my favorite pieces from the project. It’s so evocative.
I forgot an important thought here, marionettes are stored by hanging them. I don't know why that didn't occur to me before, that it could be them in storage. Still, that is interesting given the theory that maybe Frank is removing puplets from harm by some sort of death.
So, while the image is still creepy, it has a basis in puppeteering. I did look up muppet storage, though, and it is more box based, just one muppet per box.
We can be on the lookout for something like this as well. In the “Look, I made a dog”piece, there is a box in the forefront, but it looks to be a regular box, and I would assume the arrow is the important bit, as it is pointing down. The neighbors are mostly hand rod puppets, which we explored a bit before. Other are walkaround style muppets and they have muppets that have human hands inside the muppet hands, like Rowlf (or just have human hands like Beaker or Swedish Chef). Generally, the type depends on what they need the muppet to do.
FRANK: I know how to tie the loop around, and exactly how to pull!
JULIE: Or like the way you keep your garden all in rows!
FRANK: Yes! That way I always know, where each plant will grow.
This one is a throw back to the line above, tie the loop around and pull, which is part of the process of tying the knot, so could be a reference to hanging. Then, with the garden line, it makes me think of the “Bug-A-Bye” post, with multiple references to the beloved bugs being underground. Frank always knows which plant will grow. Is this a reference to Frank knowing exactly where his friends are stored, AKA where to find the bodies?
There is a portion of the song where Frank uses a crayon metaphor to explain the neat and orderly thing to Wally. We find out that Frank has a tendency to arrange people’s crayons in rainbow order. I was definitely that kid. I could spend a long time organizing crayons by color. He says something that seems to have a double meaning:
FRANK: I like it best… when red goes in front of the rest.
And the colors all stay inside the lines!
When each and every hue, from orange yellow green and blue,
WALLY: …and purple?
FRANK: RIGHT! Sometimes things have an order that their context, demands-
Since this universe has a strong correlation between character and color, it always pings my radar. There are lots of examples to use for order, and this is an attempt to relate to something that Wally might already understand, which of course he doesn’t.
“Color inside the lines” has become an idiom in the English language, meant “to think or act within generally accepted guidelines.” That really fits my theory of the neighborhood, that they are being forced by the strongest power to behave. It sounds like something someone would say to a dictator. (Like the Mitchell and Webb skit where the baddie tries to get his henchman to kill someone without saying it out loud. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6cake3bwnY)
Red goes first, so maybe Wally and Home come first? If we are doing a proper order of the neighborhood, then it makes sense that they would come first. This is also backed up by the idea of Home being a panopticon in the neighborhood, centrally located and always watching.
Purple is left off of Frank’s list, though Wally’s line can be seen as an interruption and he hadn’t gotten to it yet. If he meant to leave it off, it makes sense that he could be trying to avoid bringing Eddie to Wally/Home’s attention. Wally/Home wants to make sure that Frank knows that he hasn’t forgotten about him. Alternatively, if Wally/Home thinks that Frank is on his/their team, that he is asking Frank if Eddie is behaving.
I did try to draw a line in rainbow colors through the houses in the neighborhood, but it didn't really give me anything.
After Barnaby shows up, and Frank tells them to leave, there is another section about the colors:
WALLY: Aw. I wanted to learn the colors.
FRANK: Wally, I think you already know the colors.
WALLY: …I could hear them again.
BARNABY: Yeah Frank, which one’s orange again? [sounding genuinely confused] Am I orange?
This could be cutesy Wally, for sure. Most of this could be cutesy character development. But with the focus on colors, maybe it means more. Wally wants to know information about the neighbors, like he specifically asked about purple. Frank says there isn’t more to say beyond what Wally knows, but Wally is kind of pushing the issue. I don’t get Barnaby a lot of the time. Is this mocking him? Insinuating that he doesn’t know anything about colors/neighbors?
Frank kicks them out and then goes to finish his tie, and Howdy shows up and interrupts again. He says, “On no, Howdy, not now.” I would assume this means he wasn’t going to play the game, or he would say it was moved to Home’s yard.
I wonder if we have more interactions between Frank and Howdy, to see if there is anything going on there.

Jen, I know everyone in the fandom goes nuts over Alex saying "I love him on purpose." but this never made any sense to me. Love is not something you plan and create a purpose for. It sweeps you. What does this mean because I don’t find it that profound? I just find it confusing.
Firstly, thank you for your patience with me on this. Yesterday was a long and tiring one and honestly I'm fed up with work right now so am doing something nice with my brain.
So.
Love, as a word, is both a noun and a verb. It is a thing (an abstract noun if you're interested) and it's a thing you do, you show. This is why love is also a choice.
You're right when you say that love isn't something you plan for, but you do plan with it. And love can have a purpose.
Henry talks about wanting Alex "the whole time" - he saw Alex pretty much across the room and had a reaction to him so visceral that he was determined to... well...
I thought, this is the most incredible thing I have ever seen, and I had better keep it a safe distance away from me. I thought, if someone like that ever loved me, it would set me on fire.
This is very much 'love at first sight' for Henry. But it isn't the love that Henry talks about in the V&A. It's not the love they share in the LA hotel room, the email exchanges, the photos they take to mark the courtship. The love that Henry feels for Alex at that point is not this love. It can't be.
Same for Alex: the way he felt about the prince in the magazine, the boy who kissed him in the garden, it's not the same love that puts him on a flight to London to storm Kensington. It's not the same love that gets him on a plane with Zahra after their outing.
Both of them were very much attracted to the other, wanted more from the other, but in between their hook ups they shared stories and bits of their lives, let the other in to their fears and their worries. They build a relationship on top of the physical desire.
So now we come to love.
As a noun, it is a thing they have for the other. It is the thing that settles in their heart and will drive them to do what they do to and for the other. And that is love as a verb. It is an action, a choice they make.
And it's a choice they could not make.
We saw it best with Henry: years ago he saw a boy at the Olympics and knew that the reaction he had towards him could be the best and more dangerous thing ever... and so Henry did nothing about it. He kept Alex at arm's length, didn't try to strike up a friendship so he could have something. He stepped so far back that Alex took umbridge with it and started the feud between them.
But once Henry did something, put love into action, it started another action and another one and another one and another one. Over and over the boys made choices: Alex choosing to accost Henry in the Red Room; choosing to go to the polo match; to Wimbledon; the night in LA; the storming of Kensington. Henry choosing to talk to Alex about his family and the expectations placed on him; telling him his truth as best he can in stories about princes and armour and rooms in the palace; the conversation in the V&A. Choosing to embrace the outing and own his truth.
They both have love as a noun, it is a thing that they have and feel for the other. And they both have love as a verb, it is something they do for and with the other.
And that is why Alex says he loves Henry on purpose. Because he is making the active choice to be with Henry, to forge a forever with him. To accept him for all that he is, dark corners and all. He's not trying to fix Henry, he's not trying to make the shadows go away. When he realises how dark Henry's moods are he is just there for him, with him. That night he just slots into place with Henry and isn't trying to tell him that it's all going to be OK.
Alex is choosing to love Henry. He isn't taking his feelings, pushing it down and doing nothing about it like Henry tried after the Olympics. You have to choose to do an action, and choosing to do nothing is also an action. So Alex flying across the Atlantic to be there with Henry, to support him after the email leak, is him making a very deliberate choice. He doesn't cut and run when it gets hard. He's not backing off. He is deliberately, on purpose, saying that Henry is his choice. That he is going to do something with this love (as a noun) that has taken up home in his chest.
Whether you find this profound is a personal thing, but for Alex it is profound. This is the moment he says something, out loud, that this is forever. He and Henry have talked around it, talked about it in quiet moments where they laid everything out after the V&A. But that was between them. This is something more, at least for Alex. This is him making it clear to Bea, the sister that Henry loves so much that he begged her to get sober so he wouldn't be alone. The sister who loves Henry so much that she did just that.
But it does mean something. Alex is taking his love-as-a-noun and turning it into love-as-a-verb and that is something he has to do on purpose. He has to want to do it, he has to choose to do it. And he does. On purpose.

Sometimes when I see people making comments about Steve's polos being out of place/ unfashionable are looking at fashion through a 2020s lens, not a 1980s lens. Striped polos were in fashion and incredibly popular for teen boys and girls in the 80s. Paired with his tight jeans, he was pretty much the image of what was fashionable among high schoolers in the mid-1980s.
Also, this is a fic thing, but I hate the way people act like Steve would be obviously out of place or get denied entry to gay bars because of the way he dressed. The amount of fics I've seen with him being made to wear either Robin's or Eddie's clothes, or he gets turned away at the door by security ("this is not the place for you" or he gets told to go to a normal bar) or questioned about his intentions by any member of staff. It's not hard to find photos from pride parades in the 80s, or photos from inside gay bars, look through a few on google images and it won't be long before you start seeing guys in polo shirts. And unless it was a place that had a specific dress code, like a leather bar, they would have had no problem with what he wears. (And again, people are writing gay fashion as it is now, not what it was in the 80s.)
i see people complaining about steve’s clothes all the time and it’s kinda annoying! like, if it was just people within the fandom complaining, sure, not everyone has to like 80s fashion, but people have characters in fics do it! and it’s like… steve dresses like a little popular boy in the 80s because that’s what he is! i could understand, like, eddie making jokes about steve looking like a normie or something, but it really doesn’t make sense for the other characters to take the piss out of him as much as they do. anyway, i think steve looks cute in his polos and so does everyone else in the st universe <3
i’ll admit, i don’t read a lot of those fics because i do not like them lmao. but i have seen a couple that do that kind of thing and it is stupid!! steve dresses like boys did in the 80s, and yes, even gay boys wore polos. it’s weird, like, have these people honestly not interacted with any older media? they watched stranger things and that’s it? steve would be welcomed into a gay bar, it doesn’t even make sense that they would turn him away because he’s wearing a polo.

By digging into the whole us against the world defence just furthers the belief of how incredibly selfish they are. You are pretty much guaranteeing that their kids will be in therapy over these antics. They might as well have given their kids the love symbol Prince adopted in the 90s when he was pissed off at his record label. Adopting Sussex as a last name was totally meant as a provocation not a unification of their family.
Imagine being Archie and Lili and seeing your cousins growing up surrounded by family and friends. Those cousins sharing a closeness with your grandfather, The King.
You see photos of your cousins playing at Polo matches with all of your other relatives and you see how much they all love one another and enjoy being together.
Then one day realize you were denied being part of this loving and happy family all because your parents weren’t made to feel as if they were the most important people in the room at all times, even when they weren’t.
One day realizing that it’s all because your father couldn’t get over his childhood issues so he decided to transfer that trauma onto you.
Oh wait…what’s that called again? Maybe Harry would know since he claims it’s what Charles did.
Generational trauma.
You’re right. This has nothing to do with unity and everything to do with proving a point that H&M and their family are better than everyone else.

🧠!! But x3 cause I'm greedy!
I'll just pick a few of my fave characters, since you didn't list any specific ones.
🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.
Arthur: Huge prude, but gets incredibly pissy if anyone suggests he's anything other than the nastiest little freak. In modern day, he'd be looking at the tumblr blog I found a while ago that posts vintage erotica (artsy black and white nude photos that are incredibly tame) thinking he's the kinkiest man to ever exist. Accidentally reads a watersports fic because he thought it was about water polo and he likes sports.
Gwaine: Straight, but flamboyantly so. Is not above making out with a mate if they need a fake boyfriend/to piss off some homophobes/feel wanted. He's one of the guys in the video I saw of two straight male friends fake proposing to one another and kissing in front of some anti-LGBT protestors.
Morgana: Is the first person to rip Arthur a new one for being a brat. Will literally kill someone for hurting his feelings. Peak older sibling vibes; mercilessly rips on him at all times, but Uther doesn't make it to old age because he was a shit dad to Arthur one too many times and she has a shovel and a 100-acre estate in the countryside.

Hold on I'm going to make a vague post about something incredibly silly and unimportant.
I follow the mika zibanejad tag on here bc he's very pretty and i like when i get automatically shown new gifsets from people i don't follow. But I've been getting shown a post that's tagged with mika and two other nhl guys, matthew tkachuk and nolan patrick, and the post is like a jokey post about like "ugh how dare men be beautiful while definitely using horrible oil-stripping 3-in-1 products" or whatever, like it goes on a bit and is clearly meant to not be serious. But, ok listen i know nothing about npatrick's personal care routine, i don't care about him being tagged, whatever. And obviously i don't know the details of mzibanejad or mtkachuk's. But like first of all i once dated someone with curly hair for like a year and just from that i can tell you that mtkachuk is not using some 3-in-1 bullshit bc his hair would never let him in a million years. That texture demands real conditioner just by virtue of existing. Second of all mika's bestie chris is on camera being asked "if mika could only bring one item with him to a deserted island, what would he bring" and answering "moroccan oil (for his hair)." His buddy knows what hair products he uses. Just looking at a photo of mika it's extremely obvious how deliberate he is with his appearance, and chris and mika both acknowledge this in that same video when asked which of them takes more time to get ready in the morning or whatever the question was and they both immediately said mika.
Anyway I'm just saying, 2/3 of your examples are bad. Granted the 3-in-1 mention might not be intended as a specific accusation so much as vibes, which maybe makes the mtkachuk one more forgiveable, but even then idk, i think he puts at least some thought into his personal care and appearance even if his "thought" is to wear fucken polos and bucket hats.
Anyway that's all, this is incredibly silly but i keep forgetting to tell tumblr to stop showing me that post so i keep seeing it and fuming all over again at the thought of someone with hair that curly going near it with something like that or looking at a photo of mika and not immediately knowing that that man knows what he's doing irt his appearance

Monte Carlo (2011, Thomas Bezucha)
27/11/2023
Monte Carlo is a 2011 film directed by Thomas Bezucha.
The protagonists of the film are Selena Gomez, Katie Cassidy and Leighton Meester who in the film play three friends who organize a trip to Paris. The film is based on the novel Headhunters by Jules Bass.
Grace Bennett is a high school senior from Texas who works as a waitress with her best friend Emma Perkins to earn money for a trip to Paris after graduation. After admiring the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, they lose the bus and their tour guide, and to take shelter from the rain they find refuge in the lobby of a luxury hotel where Grace is mistaken by everyone, including the paparazzi, for an heiress Englishwoman named Cordelia Winthrop-Scott. The heiress, however, secretly leaves the hotel to join her friends in Ibiza, so they spend the night in Cordelia's suite and from that moment a new holiday begins for the three friends.
As scheduled in Cordelia's agenda, the three leave together with the heiress' luggage, on a private jet for Monte Carlo where Cordelia must participate in a charity auction for which she must donate an expensive Bulgaria diamond necklace. During a party organized in her honor, Grace meets Cordelia's aunt, Alicia who actually mistakes her for her niece thanks to her incredible resemblance and Emma dances with Domenico, a French prince. The following day, Meg reunites with Riley, a globetrotting Australian boy she met briefly in Paris. When Grace take part in a polo match, Alicia quickly discovers that she is not her niece, who is a real talent in that sport.
The evening before the auction, Prince Domenico invites Emma to a dinner on a yacht. Meanwhile Cordelia sees a photo of her in a newspaper at a party with two girls and after discovering that her necklace is missing, she calls the police.
Cordelia manages to escape and reveals Grace's fraud, also demanding that she be arrested, but after Grace makes a public confession, Aunt Alicia, believing in her good faith, unexpectedly makes a generous offer for the necklace of 6 million euros.
Eventually Meg decides to join Riley on his trip around the world which is on a peak of Machu Picchu; Owen and Emma get married and live in Texas; while Grace volunteers in schools in Romania where she meets her love, Theo.
Nicole Kidman, Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan are the producers of the film for 20th Century Fox and New Regency Productions. The production began filming in Hungary on May 5, 2010 in Budapest.

[Hans]: well, angel. I’ll have you know I’m a member of the San Fransokyo polo team.
He followed up his statement with a photo of him in his playing uniform, standing proudly with a large orange and black horse with the name “Sitron” on his saddle . Hans looked quite dashing in his fitted polo that showed off his impressive physique and broad shoulders..
And that incredible bulge in his cream colored pants.
Witchy Woman
“Is there a reason we’re next to the goddamn speakers??” Hans shouted over the new wave music that blasted in his ear.
The redhead glared in the ornate, oversized arm chair that looked straight out of a vampire romance novel. The back-head was crowned with a painted black skull with swooping, intricate designs that swirled down each side of the chair, swerving into the cushioned arm rests. Being seated in such an elegant piece of furniture while wearing tight black jeans with a leather jacket, Hans unfortunately looked more punk than goth at the scene.
The Black Cauldron was San Fransokyo’s most popular goth club. Originally intended as a church but long abandoned, the style more resembled that of an old fairy tale temple where ancient gods would revel. Tall, neon lined stained glass Windows decorated with the club’s icon: The Horned King, lined the walls with the dark lord performing an ancient spell that brought back long dead warriors to do his bidding.
Tall, black candelabras with glowing purple light bulbs framed the main floor, flanking four steps of cobble stepping stones were herds of goths gathered to talk and sulk and brood or whatever the fuck these spooky assholes did when they weren’t skulking about the mall or making lattes at The Witch’s Brew… the local goth coffee shop hang out.
Hans would actually think this place was pretty cool if it weren’t so goddamn loud.
At least he could smoke in there.

Hello, and welcome to an August post! We begin today with a new video released by the Prince and Princess of Wales yesterday afternoon. In the video, the royals congratulate Team GB on their showing at the Paris Olympic Games. Great Britain’s Olympians won 65 medals, including 14 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 29 bronze medals. Here is the message accompanying the video when it was posted on social media. Snoop Dogg opens and closes the video. More from this Telegraph piece by Hannah Furness. Snoop Dogg, 52, who has become something of a star of the Paris Olympics Games for his unexpected and enthusiastic appearances, opens and closes the video. “Thank you Great Britain from the Big Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife,” he says, on the short film published on social media. The video includes many notable names: David Beckham, gold medalist in running Dame Kelly Holmes, cyclist and gold medal winner Sir Chris Hoy, gold medalist in swimming Rebecca Adlington, Scottish sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter, and others. Here is the full video. Well done @TeamGB, what an incredible journey! Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud! Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @Paris2024 and looking forward to more from @ParalympicsGB later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇 pic.twitter.com/oCLz7HuuLG — The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) August 11, 2024 As you can see, Prince William wears a Team GB polo shirt in the video. The Princess of Wales was wearing a familiar top, her Tori striped tee by Ralph Lauren. The all-over horizontal navy blue stripes sit atop a cream cotton base; the piece also has long sleeves and a boat neckline. It was worn when the Duchess was seen grocery shopping in Anglesey, at a 2013 SportsAid workshop where she played volleyball (below left), and when watching the Houghton Hall Horse Trials in 2016 (below right). I have added some styles to the repliKate Tops page. In the video, the Princess appeared to be wearing a thin gold or silver necklace. She also had on a different ring, not her usual eternity band. In these images, you see a blurry closeup from the video, the Princess’s Eclipse Eternity Band ($1900) by royal favorite Annoushka, and on the right, two photos from previous engagements showing the Eclipse ring. One suggestion is that this is a new eternity band. Another is that it’s the Victorian-style gold ring the Princess was first noted wearing in 2005 at university graduation events. That ring features tiny pearls (presumably for William’s birth month) and garnets (presumably for the Princess’s birth month). Without better photos, we may never know what ring the Princess was wearing. It was a treat to see a new video with the Princess! One note on comments: I had to delete some comments about William’s beard on the Facebook post and would like to avoid that topic in comments on this post. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Next, we move to poll results, starting with your favorite Chelsea Flower Show looks. No surprise here; the overwhelming favorite is the dress worn to the 2017 show, the darker green silk style by French fashion house Rochas. Second place went to the pink ME + EM Color Block Silk Shirt Dress. Here are the numeric results. We now move to your favorite garden party look. Your favorite was the Elie Saab separates and Philip Treacy hat worn to last May’s Buckingham Palace party. Coming in second are the vibrant coral Emilia Wickstead design and Jane Taylor ‘Lyssa’ hat seen at a May 2022 party. Your third choice was worn to an April 2022 party, the pale aqua dress by an unknown dressmaker and another Philip Treacy hat. With almost 2300 votes, here are the numbers for the top three vote-getters. Next on the hit parade, favorite Trooping the Colour styles. The clear winner was the updated Jenny Packham dress and Philip Treacy hat from this year’s celebration. Coming in second, the green Andrew Gn dress and Philip Treacy hat worn to last year’s event. Your third choice was the hot pink Alexander McQueen dress and Lyssa hat by Jane Taylor worn for Trooping the Colour in 2017. We now move to results for your favorite Garter Day ensembles. The Alessandra Rich dress and Philip Treacy hat worn for last year’s Garter Day events was your favorite look. Your second choice was the cornflower blue coatdress by Alexander McQueen at the 2022 Garter Day ceremonies with a Juliet Botterill hat. Following very closely in third place, the 2016 ensemble featuring a red Catherine Walker coat initially worn in Canada in July 2011, topped by a Lock and Company hat first worn to the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant in 2012. With almost 2200 votes cast, the numbers show how close the voting was for the second and third-place picks. We look at Royal Ascot outfits now. Another Alessandra Rich takes first place, the polka dot dress paired with a Sally-Ann Provan hat worn to Royal Ascot in 2022. Your next favorite look was the red Alexander McQueen dress at Royal Ascot 2023, topped by a Philip Treacy hat. The Elie Saab separates and Philip Treacy hat worn to Royal Ascot 2019 came in third. Here is how the voting broke down. And now our final annual summer events poll, this one for your favorite Wimbledon ensemble. You may recall that the number of outfits (25) prompted me to split the voting into three groups: one voting on your favorite repeated style, and the other two narrowing down the new looks. This poll covers the top two vote-getters from those three polls. Your favorites included the Zimmermann Roamer Day Dress seen at Wimbledon in 2014, the Catherine Walker Wildflowers Print Dress worn to the 2017 Championships, the Suzannah London Flippy Wiggle Dress worn in July 2019, the icy blue Emilia Wickstead Jordin seen a few days later in 2019, the rich yellow Roksanda Ilincic Brigitte dress worn in July 2022, and the Safiyaa Cecelia Dress worn to this year’s Championship. Now it is time to vote.
