Favorite Fallout mission and why? What was the first video game you ever played?

Honestly no idea what my favorite mission overall is, but in fallout 4 it's the silver shroud mission! I ofc saved kent :)

My memory is really bad, so I have no idea what my first ever video game was, I know I had a Nintendo 64 when I was very very young, but I don't know if that was my first ever.

I do however remember playing shadow of the colossus a lot, along with barbies horse adventures, on the playstation 2 though!

My sibling did tell me though, when I was really young I'd play Mario kart with them on the GameCube and I'd just run into walls and get stuck 😂

The website I lost was about the game Petz. The *real* petz games, not the new 3D ones that fucking suck.

The original Petz games, Dogz and Catz, came out in 1995 and spawned a dedicated following. I originally played Petz 2 and had no idea more were made until I stumbled across Petz 5 in a computer store in the early 2000s.

After that, I found the online community. So many websites and forums dedicated to the games. People modding it to make custom pets, people using the breeding mechanics to create their own breeds. People trading pets with each other. It was magical.

And then websites started dying. Geocities took a lot of wonderful sites down with it when it died. Several other hosts died. Some websites were taken down by their creators.

Downloads and information were lost to internet decay. Even by the time I started being active in the community, some links were dead and I never even had a chance to see them.

One by one, a favorite Petz creator of mine's websites went down. Her first website, featuring unmodded pets available for download which I used to spend hours scrolling through for the perfect pet... gone. Her website dedicated to selective breeding, which contained so much information that helped me with my own projects... gone. Her modded Show Breeds pages, of highly realistic dogs and cats, and even her Show Rats... gone. And finally, more recently, her massive website hosting modded animals of all sorts, (giraffes, snakes, parrots, fish, etc)... gone. All of her websites are gone. Every. Single. One.

And now several of my websites have joined the list of lost content. My original website, hosted on Webs, was lost a few years ago when that service went down. I hadn't touched it in a long time as Webs wasn't a very good host for what I wanted. And it vanished without me realizing. It didn't have much, but it had the start of my selective breeding journey. My original creations from when I was a young teenager. And they're gone. Even the wayback machine didn't fully save it.

While my weebly website is still up, for the moment, it has now joined the ranks of dead Petz websites. And that's really fucking sad.

The old adage about nothing going away once it's online... That only works for things you want to go away. Anything you want to keep is in danger. The internet is a hostile place for the things you love. All information is just a misclick away from being lost forever.

The Petz community is still alive. When I updated my forum post about my website, telling people I could no longer update it, someone replied within a few hours to say how valuable my website had been to them. A game that came out nearly 30 years ago still has a community of people that adore it. But sadly we have lost so much over those thirty years. Some has been preserved via the wayback machine or via community efforts but much hasn't.

It's so depressing to scroll through the petz forum for links only for nearly every one to be dead. And it's so depressing to know that now my websites are among them.

Intro & Wild Spirit Silver Wolf

Welcome to the blog of Flamingo@Flamboyance! I am going to use this space to review older, lesser known Petz breeds with a focus on wildz, and maybe some other things... stay tuned! Eventually I will have a website that will tie into this as well. I'm really excited to bring more awareness of play-friendly files to the modern Petz community! If you like these types of files, I also want to direct your attention to the up-and-coming Petz Farm by Amy, which is the perfect place to find fun games and shows to participate in with your more unusual Petz. I was inspired to start doing this when I stumbled across Wild Spirit Wolves via the Wayback Machine, a Petz site that was active around 1999-2002. I actually found this site through Brilokuloj's "Have you seen my Meowth?" page - please give it a visit and help them reunite with the Meowth file of their youth!

Without further ado, let's get onto the first file! I'm testing and reviewing a number of factors, including appearance, play friendliness, breeding utilization, and posing ability. Wild Spirit made several wolf files; they are fairly similar, so I was originally going to review them all at once, but I realized that would be too much for one post. So, meet the Silver Wolf!

I absolutely love the aesthetic of this file! It's obvious that it was hexed from the dane, but different enough to look very distinct when placed side by side. It retains a high level of Petziness and has typical Dogz movement, which makes it very pleasing to play with. Considering its doggy shape, clothes go on just fine, and eating and playing are absolutely no problem. No strange movements or unusual clipping here!

In particular, I really like the added touch of the tiny fangs. I think they're the perfect finishing touch to make this file stand out from the Petz OBs, as well as denoting it as "wild" and not just a fluffy grey dog, but without being too exaggerated to the point of looking goofy. Real wolves also have bigger teeth than domestic dogs, in fact! I also think the blue paw pads that all the Wild Spirit files share are a really clever way to leave your mark without being too obtrusive, making it clear that all of their files were made by the same creator. Plus, they're just a fun and unexpected surprise!

As you can see in the graphic, these wolves are a breeze to pose; she actually got into perfect alignment on her own, which was sheer luck, but they look really nice in normal alignment and would definitely be a good choice if you've ever wanted to show a wolf! They're doggy enough that I can't see standard shows rejecting them for technically being wildz.

I think my only critique of this file would be that it could stand to have a few more variations. The silver with a white tail tip is really lovely, but maybe some different shades of grey and additional white marking variations would go a long way toward mixing things up a bit more to make every AC pet truly unique, in addition to having a few different eye colors to choose from. The eye colors in the file appear to be an ice blue in addition to the teal, green, and odd-eyed variations that the Great Dane comes with. I do think all of these work great on this file!

As for breeding, they breed very nicely! There were no issues with scales or with the colors passing down properly; I would say they definitely breed true.

Meadow - Timberland - Thicket

When mixing with other breeds, the results were very fun as well! I used some of my personal OBs to test it out, so we have a Chi mix, a Poodle mix, and a Dane mix respectively. This file definitely blends seamlessly with the Petz OBs and would be a great option to get some fun new shapes in your mixies.

Birch - Apple - Knoll

All in all, this is a really fun file! It's nice and Petzy while still having a distinct shape, and little touches such as the addition of fangs and signature blue pawpads really give these guys character. They pose, breed, and play perfectly! If you like wolves or just want to mix things up with an adorable old-school file, I definitely recommend this file, along with all the other Wild Spirit files that are yet to be reviewed.

There are still some shows pending, but I wanted to share my graphic! I didn't own any mutts, much less SGCh mutts, a couple of days before October started. I think I did pretty good. The chart starts at 4th gen. They're purebred non-inbred with a full pedigree. Once the rest of the dogs champ out, I'll offer some 8th gen pups somewhere.

My lovely mutts wouldn't be possible without Dahlia's Mutt Focus contest at Petz Show Club, Dahlia for Bane, Rue, and Muscadine, Commander (at Powerhouse)'s Oriole and Dela from their downloadable breeding stock, or Amanda (at Cargo)'s Blackberry.

what do you do in petz + how the fuck is spam tong in petz

ok, so! petz, or in this case, PF Magic Petz specifically, is an old, OLD pet simulator game from the 90s! it's made to run on doo-doo potato computers, and uses it's own wacky technonogy called, and bear with me, "ballz", to render the pet models.

there's other games by pf magic, but we'll focus on petz. before they became stinky ubisoft petz. (ubisoft bought petz) nono ignore that. this is PURE FUCKIN' MAGIC PETZ! (thats what pf stands for)

you adopt a dog or a cat... and you take care of it! and unlike most modern pet sims - your pet truly has a personality of its own. for the game's age it's actually surprisingly complex, and the community is finding new things each year! i believe just last year (or two years ago??) we found out petz have FAVORITE COLORS.

each pet is unique in their own way!! signature animations, favorite foods, what relationships they have with other petz, how you've trained them... one pet may love being fed cheese, while the other may not.

of course there's also personalities for each breed, as each breed has it's own personality. i can't explain this one well, so give this a read!

i used to play petz a lot more back then, nowadays i just check in on it sometimes, but the genuine connection you may get to feel towards your silly guys is real.

fun fact i only adopt cats. i dont do my breeding from scratch but the guys i adopt from other people or PUGS (petz universal game site) (i hope i got that right) i dont like the sounds dogs make. i still need to finish graphics for all my cats. heres some of them. i love them.

what really makes this game is the community! it's a small, but surprisingly lively and friendly community! many of these people may even be twice your age, enjoying this silly pet game online with everyone, it's wonderful! the game is very moddable, and people make their own breeds, toys, areas... anything you think of, it can be put in this game with enough time and creativity!

some people make realistic, breeds, and some people make Silly Guys! like me for example! i'm really into fan-made media petz! it's how i got into the game, after all! i've made some hexied (modded petz) of my own!

also, most people around the petz community have their own websites! for their downloads, shows, or to show off their petz!! what you can do is endless. i made my site because of that, though it's in constant disrepair and i SWEAR one day i will move to neocities.

and yes!! shows!! people do shows!! you can pose and take pictures of your petz and it'S actually a very pixel precise thing, trying to get your pet to do a show pose! people do these shows on forums and even give each other little graphic trinkets like badges!!

speaking of graphics... STAMPS!! petz fans love stamps!! i collect some, too, but my collection isnt as impressive as some other people.

people even have stamps for their own sites, that's where these come from!!

Well. you prolly werent there for it but petz spamton took some places of the internet by storm and OH BOY WAS IT BOTH REALLY COOL BUT ALSO VERY TIRING SOMETIME. im not the creator, i do not take credit, however i am partially responsible as that entity was created on my server. (after my friends talked about the reanimated joshua and the promised land video from saberspark - its a big collab and we talked about the people who worked on it. one of them was Moonkitti who has a petz profile picture. i then left the convo but my friend who i wont name so they feel comfy <3 remembered petz and had the wonderful idea of Modding Spamton Into It.)

petz spamton doesnt look like this anymore its had many updates. I was more a Webkinz, Petz, Wappy Dog kinda girl, what was Nintendogs like?

i went on longer than i planned cause i basically explained the whole game. i also dont know how to write that into a tl;dr so sorry about that. also for any diehard nintendogs fans whove found some kind of inaccuracy: this is about the first nintendogs cause its the only one ive playd

i havent played any of those games, but from what i know nintendogs is more realistic. theres the obvious stuff like adopting a dog, feeding, cleaning, etc. but i think the main feature (other than like being able to play with your dogs) is the dog shows. theres frisbee shows which are exactly as they sound, agility shows which is where you guide a dog around a course and obedience trials where your dog does tricks.

all of these you need to train your dog to do. you can teach your dog tricks practically anywhere (but i had no idea how to do it lol) and the other two you do when you go on walks. you can sort of do the frisbee indoors but its quite hard so you usually go to a park to do that. for the agility trial you HAVE to train them in the sports centre.

theres also the ability to meet other dogs and talk with their trainers. you can do this with real people in bark mode but i got nintendogs in 2015 because someone left it on the bookshelf of our freshly-moved-into house, so its safe to say ive never used it. you meet the npc dogs on walks, either on the walk itself or in parks. if its on the actual walk, you talk with their trainer, which might have a slight conversation with you and WILL get mad if your dog is too thirsty, hungry or dirty

i think webkinz can die but idk? as for the other two i have no idea. but nintendogs cant get sick or die. ive left those guys for years on end and im yet to find a corpse. and as cool as that anti-pirate nintendogs video is where the dog gets scurvy and dies, its not real.

if youve ever played the sonic adventure chao gardens (im using that as an example because its the only one i can think of) its only a little bit similar. your dogs never age, training them is much faster and easier and its overall a much quieter game.

Petz Dogz 2 was one of my favorites as a kid! I had it on the Wii.

Essentially, you're a puppy that lives in South Pawville, where everyone else is also dogs. Your dad has the Magic Hat, which is mad powerful and can be used for good or evil depending on who uses it.

After running some errands, your best friend Victor tells you that the sherif caught an evil wolf named Ivlet, and that he's in the jail. So the both of you go and see him, but he's asleep. The sherif catches you both and kicks you out, but you both decide to come back that night to see him awake.

When you get there, he's awake, and he tricks you into showing him the Magic Hat to prove to him it's real, and he grabs it. He breaks out of the jail and causes ruin all over the island, and makes the wildlife extra aggressive. The sherif throws you in jail, but Victor takes your place while you help clean up the destruction.

When you leave the jail, you meet a little creature named Beat, the personification of the good side of the Magic Hat. Beat asks for your help to get the hat back, and of course you agree.

After helping out around the town, you travel to Sky Heights, where the wizard Theophilus lives. Once you're there, the wizard tells you that when the normally colorful Magic Hat turns fully black, it'll turn the wearer into a monster. In order to stop it, you have to have the Magic Shield, and to make it, you need the Water, Earth, and Ice crystals.

Once you get the crystals, you go to find Theophilus' brother Bartholomew, who'd gone missing, and then the three of you travel to an astral dimension where Ivlet has been living, and together you defeat him and the dragon he summons. Then you return home with the restored Magic Hat, and all is well.

Most of the game you spend sniffing out and digging up items, sneaking around and stunning aggressive wildlife, collecting outfits and accessories (some of which help you withstand arctic cold or volcanic heat), defeating animals in mini games so they'll break out of Ivlet's spell, and catching fish and bugs.

As far as I know, the Catz version is identical, except instead of dogs, all of the characters are cats.

For some reason, specifically Petz Dogz 2 and Petz Catz 2, and specifically only the console versions of these games are adventure games, with stories, and fantasy elements, and an evil wizard.

There is a final boss fight.

She walked to Mike's house door. Good that Vincent allowed her for a sleepover at Mike's place. She was so happy about it. She knocked on the door and waited. When the door opened, she saw Dollores. She welcomed Patrice and politely said to go inside. Patrice walked in with her cat backpack.

Dollores: good that you could visit us. Mike don't go out so often. Good that he have a little friend like you, dear.

Patrice: thank you miss Schmidt. I'm glad that Mike is making a sleepover. I even got some snacks with me.

Dollores: well, you'll be the only one for this sleepover. Other boys have plans. But at least you are here.

Patrice: not even Fritz? That's a surprise. He always loves food.

Dollores: feel like at home, sweetheart. I'm gonna get the pie.

Patrice nodded and walked to livingroom. She sat on the soft blue sofa. Mike walked in looking tired. He looked like he didn't slept whole day. He sat next to her with a warm smile. Patrice smirked and putted a Santa hat on his head. "Merry Christmas" she said. He looked at her backpack.

Mike: what you got in there?

Patrice: I have my "I Scream Ice Cream" pj, my long cat plushy, pink toothbrush, brush and my PSP with games. We can play on it.

Mike: what games do you have? I never saw a PSP before. I only had gameboy back then.

Patrice: I have Loco Roco, Hello Kitty puzzle, Crash Bandicoot and Petz dogs. Not much but still something.

Mike: you mind if I try this dog game? I love dogs.

Patrice: sure. Just put disc in and turn the PSP on.

Mike did as told. When game loaded, there were many dogs to choose on the screen. He selected Golden Retriever. Dog borked happily at him and licked the screen. When he moved the move stick, he patted the dog in game. Then dog just went into other room in the game house. He gave her back her PSP and patted her on head.

Dollores then walked to them, giving them both a plate with apple pie, a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream on it. Before she could tell "don't eat it right away, it's hot", Patrice already ate it. Mike and Dollores looked at her with shock. She had no reaction while eating a hot apple pie. Dollores looked at Mike, and he at her with "what just happened?" expression on their faces. Mike and Dollores slowly ate their share of pie.

Mike: you showed me what you like, now I'll show you what I like.

Dollores: Mike. I hope you don't mean your electric guitar. Last time you played it, I couldn't read my novel.

Mike: nooo, honey...ummm. Anyways... let's go to my room.

They walked to Mike's room. It was full of rock band posters. Mike is big fan of music after all. He have his two guitars. One is electric, and other is acoustic. His bed tho was full of his clothes. Typical Mike fashion. They both sat on his bed. Mike was holding his acoustic guitar in hand.

Mike: so. I usually don't sing that much. But I wanna share my song with you. I'll not sing that good tho, I can only play good.

Patrice: I wanna hear it!

Mike started to play on his guitar.

(By the way song is by Give Heart Records called "no more (acoustic)" if you wanna listen to it. It's old fnaf song).

Mike: five night it shouldn't seem so long, but it takes forever when you go all about it wrong.

Patrice was listening to it, looking like a Yippee.

Mike: you can break my light and my doors, but I won't let you back it no more, no more. I'm sick of getting stuck in the same routine again. Tie me up, put me into a suit, but I'll never ever be like you, no. I know what happened here, and you can't erase your past.

Patrice: wow! Amazing!

Mike: that's what I have for now. Sorry that's not so long, but I still seek the inspiration.

She hugged him happily.

Patrice: I wanna hear more! It's so cool!

Mike: sure.

Mike started playing more calm music on his guitar. He got happy that someone likes his hobby.

After about 20min, he felt something on his arm. When he looked down, he saw Patrice laying on his arm while sleeping calmly. He smiled and didn't stopped playing. He then singed without thinking.

Mike: I crave the light of day, cause I've been keeping you away. It's driving me insane, it's driving me insane~

The next day, Mike woke up with guitar in his hands. He looked around and there was no Patrice. He runned to living room.

Mike: Doll, honey! I think I lost my co-worker!

Dollores: oh my god, Mike. She left in the morning. She had to go back home, because it was something important.

Mike: oh yeah, heh. Sorry, sweetie.

Dollores: you are always like it, Mikey. And I love it about you.

They both kissed. Meanwhile Patrice was back at home helping Vincent with cleaning the house.

FNAF Story Chapter 1

Everyone sat in dining room. Every guard was there. They had meeting still waiting for Scott. Pizzaria was closed, so only them were there. Mike was bored so he was playing with an empty cup. Jeremy talked with Fritz. Vincent. Well. Was Vincent.

Scott walked in with someone smaller than him (a bit smaller than Jeremy. She is like 5"4 when Jeremy is 5"7). She was wearing suit, hair tied to ponytail. Scott started talking.

Scott:Hello everyone. I made this meeting for you to meet our new guard. As you know, we need more people for it since you all wanted to have more free days off work. So here they are, be nice. And for you Vincent, don't you dare go near them.

Vincent smirked and layed on his chair.

Vincent: oh Scotty. I wouldn't do it. Why would you say something like this?

Vincent liked to tease Scott. He always reacted to this. Scott sighed with annoyence. After saying goodbye to her, he left pizzeria.

She standed there awkwardly. They all stared at her expecting a greeting or something. She stared back, shaking. Vincent stood up with "let me do this" face. He walked to her with smile. Vincent putted his hand in front of her (for her to shake it).

Vincent: hey dear. Welcome to pizzeria team. I'm Vincent. Who are you, small one?

Patrice: I-I-I'm P-Patrice. N-nice t-t-to meet y-you.

She just holded his hand expecting him to shake hands. He looked on hands thinking of that to say. Then he just started laughing.

Vincent: hahahaha! I didn't knew you like me this much. First you need to buy me dinner, before holding hands.

Mike: well, if that's all, I'm going back home. See ya Jeremy!

Mike left pizzeria, leaving them all in awkward silence.

English Springer Spaniel

Haven't posted in a few days, not because I've not been doing things, but more so because I've been doing so much. (Plus two of those days I had a migraine, so concentration to words isn't very easy.)

Anyway, I had been on the hunt for OW for a dalmatian file.

I have this pup, Kloa, from my old hard drive. She's listed as a 2nd gen purebred Dalmatian born on 1/23/2002. Her Dam was Chloe adopted on 8/8/2000 and her sire was Dusk adopted on 2/20/2001. She was bred by Firebird @ MKC.

I figured she was a spaniel of some kind. I've been scouring old websites and the Wayback Archive. All that and Petz Life Discord archives. I did finally come across a similar looking dog and KingHarry on PL discord said that poster was still active. Low and behold, Lily still had that file.

Except hers was a non-overwrite. It looked close, it had white eyebrows and maybe the scale was a bit different.

So I still searched.

Did a second spelunking and came across a folder labeled "Sunshine English Springer Spaniel." Inside was a Dalmatian.dog file. It didn't work in Petz 4 which is the folder it was inside. I was pretty sure this was my file. But now I had a name!

Searching the name netted me this way back page. Down at the very bottom looks to be the same looking dog as the file Lily had given me. I bet this was my file! But, this page says it was for Dogz 2!

I tried converting my old file to a unibreed, but that didn't work. And while I could have used the non-overwrite that Lily had given me, I wanted an overwrite version.

So I made a breed file out of a Kloa's pet file. (I liked the non-white eyebrows better).

Then I started adding variations.

10 different eye colors, linked eyelids, a brown nose for the brown coat, and a coat in either white and brown or white and black. The spots are static, though. Same every time in either color. So I don't feel it's release-able quite yet. I don't know how well they breed yet, either.

I kinda pleased with it. I mean, it's not my work, not from scratch, but I did do the LNZ variation work by hand. Trial and error with a couple of tutorials.

I've been spending a lot of time in the discord servers: Petz Life, Petzcord, and Petz Show Club, and a bit of time on Whiskerwick, RKC, and Duke's Group forums.

I haven't made any more progress on my Dali Locations A-H line, but I've breed a few others. (And adopted a handful more, oops?) I should really figure out how to share the Airtable page properly. Or at least link the other tabs so you can see more than just my cats. And I have quite a backlog of stamps to make.

But that's today's update!
