Now that PROJECT JASP.ER is a thing, we deserve an ensemble (AouBoom, JoongDunk, PerthSanta, and PondPhuwin) dance themed Boys Love so here is my general plot proposal for it (obligatory when I refer to the actors names it is simply a placeholder for proper character names):
General Characters
Pond is the son of wealthy and strict parents who joins the resident dance team. He initially does it to rebel against his parents but genuinely falls in love with dance and wants to pursue it as a full career.
Phuwin is an off-the-walls flirty rebellious free-spirit who explores abandoned buildings and does graffiti who practices his art on the side of the dance studio building (and he is dressed genuinely punk).
Boom is Pond's older brother who obeys their parents, and tries to convince Pond to quit. The culmination of his arc is telling their parents to fuck off and let them pursue what they want. Maybe he is a stifled creative in his own right.
Aou is the captain of the dance team who is trying to restore it to its former greatness, so he is an enthusiastic mentor to Pond. He should be both compassionate and serious.
Joong is a "mysterious brooding loner" street dancer who is actually a huge dork which is gradually revealed throughout the show.
Dunk is a DJ and music student who the team recruits to find the best music to dance to, but Dunk has an assignment where he has to create a song people can dance to (he needs to be really intense about music to the point people think he is a snob).
Santa is already a member of the dance team, but his passion has kind of fizzled out.
Perth is the manager of the rival team, who is trying to get Santa to defect to his team.
For shits and giggles, the rival team should be played by LYKN. No other reason than shits and giggles (maybe even throw in Est as the manager of the main dance team), and the two dance team names should be very bad parodies of their real life group names (like, I'm just spitballing, Plan Tige.reye and OBPM).
General Romance Plot Ideas:
Pond catches Phuwin practicing his graffiti on the side of the dance studio and tries to get him to stop, until Aou catches them mid-scuffle and tells Pond Phuwin is allowed to practice there. Phuwin says Pond isn't fun, and if he ever wants to be fun he should call him. Seeing Phuwin as a way to piss his parents off more, Pond takes up the offer and Phuwin is very flirty as they go on a lot of vaguely illegal dates. At the big end of the series competition, Phuwin could be the one who makes their costumes.
Boom tracks down Pond and tells him to stop but Pond refuses, so Boom turns to their captain Aou and threatens him to let Pond go. Aou decides Boom believes that because he never experienced dance himself, and is determined to prove otherwise. Aou gives Boom the confidence to stand up to his parents, and leaves to support Pond and Aou at the big ending dance competition. (I don't know if there is enough crossover to understand this, but if you are familiar with School of Rock and the dynamic between Dewey Finn and Rosalie Mullins that is the sort of vibe I am going for.)
For an assignment, Dunk has to create a song people can dance to, so with Joong having nothing to do he recruits Joong to help him out. They try to play it cool to each other before they both reveal their dorky side, which leads to a very fun and goofy dance number. Dunk gets an A on his assignment. I imagine they would be the first couple to truly get together.
Santa's passion is fizzled out and Perth thinks his talent is being wasted so he tries to recruit him to his own dance team, except they fall in love and have a big falling out when Santa learns the reason Perth approached him in the first place (where it is revealed Santa had a crush on Perth for years and thought Perth was genuinely interest back) and Perth is all teary eyed because he loves Santa.
No Clothes Scene Proposals:
PondPhuwin in an abandoned building (bonus points if they do it against very artistic graffiti).
JoongDunk in a recording studio.
PerthSanta in a dance studio (mirrors and all).
AouBoom in Boom's parents' office.
Regardless, lots of dances where one party is seducing the other. It would be sexy.
Bonus: A lot of cameos from other GMMTV artists where they play other dance teams or creatives.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little ramble. I'm open to any suggestions, alternatives, or expansions to the ideas presented. I tried to give them all something different than what they usually play because I believe in letting actors showcase full ranges.

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!
Dragged Up 'Hex Domestic EP' is OUT NOW!
https://cruelnaturerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/hex-domestic-ep
Formed in Glasgow (UK) in late 2018 with members from Trembling Bells, Vom, The Owsley Sunshine and Las Mitras, Dragged Up's debut mini-album "D/U" was released in 2020, to positive reviews and critical acclaim from the likes of Louderthanwar: "like classic CBGBs proto-punk transplanted to rain-drenched Scottish streets" and Record Collector Magazine: "an all-seeing, culture-cannibalizing slacker classic."
Mentioned in the same breath as Scottish indie-rockers Teenage Fanclub and garage-punks The Primevals, 'Hex Domestic' presents four new tracks showcasing their seamless cross-pollination of doom, psych, proto-punk, garage rock, and spoken word.
"[On] the Hex Domestic EP, the five-piece continue by putting their best foot forward, creating the kind of slacker sounds that cure hangovers. Songs that combat fumbling through pitch-black hallways consumed by A.M. dread with sleepy harmonies and a scuzzed out an alt-rock aesthetic that teleports you back to your youth." (Simon Kirk, Sun 13)
Catch them on their UK tour:
September:
10th - Old Hairdressers, Glasgow (supporting The Bevis Frond)
14th - The Keg, Paisley
15th - The Twa Tams, Perth
16th - Leith Depot, Edinburgh (with Amateur Cult and Errant Boy)
28th - Centrala, Birmingham (with The Courtesy Group & Ray Vorg plus Fliss Kitson DJing)
29th – Salty Dog, Northwich (with Pill Fangs)
30th - Little Buildings, Newcastle upon Tyne (with Pound Land and Lovely Wife) - https://www.wegottickets.com/event/591764/

High Vis Unleashes Raw Punk Energy with New Single "Mob DLA" + Tour Dates
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a74b1483655888c3609438fcf817f921/f63c1b3067256b7c-05/s540x810/4c1321a84daea666b77e186bcae23491450595f3.jpg)
London's High Vis has unveiled their latest single, "Mob DLA," via Dais Records, marking their first release of 2024. This track channels a raw street punk energy, offering a visceral preview of their upcoming album set to drop later this year. High Vis vocalist Graham Sayle sheds light on the inspiration behind "Mob DLA," stating: "The relentless public service cuts over the years have had a devastating impact on UK communities. People are forced to justify their need for help, undergoing dehumanizing tests to prove their eligibility for support, even for lifelong disabilities. Marginalized groups are left to fend for themselves, only to be vilified in targeted media smear campaigns. Meanwhile, political and industrial elites enjoy ever-increasing bonuses and salaries. I've witnessed this in my own family—the palpable stress and anxiety of people merely trying to carve out a place in a world that feels increasingly hostile. Yet, amid this sustained neglect, the strength of community action stands resilient." The latest single precedes a string of festival performances around the globe this summer, including Hurricane Festival in Germany, Hellfest in France, Glastonbury in the UK, Louder Than Life in Kentucky, Aftershock in California, Mondra & Roll in Spain, and more. High Vis will also be accompanying Speed for a run of shows in Australia this August and September alongside Pain of Truth and Fuse. Tickets can be found HERE. Debbie Downers: Eat My Skorts (2018)
Free downloads are great because it keeps Omega WUSB running. As a wild-card show on the call letter’s station, we need everything good we can get because we have no idea who our listening audience is, whether dialed locally or streaming worldwide. That doesn’t keep us from providing everyone a diverse range of sounds and viewpoints for everyone tuning in.
We acquired a few releases from Australia’s Helta Skelta label and it’s the Perth femme-punks only release (and on cassette), taking big cues from early female punk bands such as Kleenex / Liliput and Petticoats (according to their Bandcamp) while vocalist Lisa Lou takes notes from Bikini Body. With Scrambled Megs on backup vocals and bass, Cleh Greggy on guitar, and Ashley Ack / Ack!Ack!Ack! on drums, Debbie Downers shove their entire bankroll towards riot-grrrl punk and feminism, possessing upbeat shouts and rough post-punk / d.i.y. qualities as they pain over the female submission of traditional marriage (”Bridal Dress”), late-life loneliness (”Franklin Street”), and society’s standards on how to dress (a cover of The Nubs’ “Job”) where the Perth quartet shift gears many times. The red flag for males? “Man In A Panic”, because Debbie Downers could care less how you’re hurting. Their focus rather goes to females for feeling the same because they’re the ones who need it more. Men, this is not a release for you.

Lucky’s Pizza - Smith Street in Perth Amboy, NJ
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ffb3445fbfde7f0609371889082991df/a9d546bd8c3ca913-bd/s540x810/e9591bb21b7d47039182b697f9445892994b8486.jpg)
I was in Perth Amboy recently for a punk show at the Copa de Oro and decided to hunt down some food between bands. Having never had pizza in Perth Amboy before, I decided to check out Lucky’s Pizza a few minutes walk down the street. The selection was pretty much non-existent (2 plain slices and 2 buffalo slices) and I was tempted to try the plain....but come on, how good does that buffalo look? And it did NOT disappoint.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/cc95341eeee9cb7886c003321bc7687b/a9d546bd8c3ca913-75/s540x810/36a029671bdd57716d89dbe19cab77133ea22d52.jpg)
A lot can go wrong with a buffalo slice, but Lucky’s nailed it on every point. The pieces of chicken were huge and flavorful, the sauce had just the right amount of kick that lingers a little but isn’t overpowering, and the crust held everything together perfectly. At $3.50, this slice is a must try no brainer. This is easily the best “new” buffalo chicken slice I’ve had since Mack’s introduced their’s in 2015. If you’re in the area, give it a try. I was blown away and if I’m ever in Perth Amboy again you better believe I’ll be going back.

Transcript one; Sgt. Brad “Iceman” Colbert and Cpl. Josh Ray Person.
Brad: No, keep the engine off, Ray.
Ray: Brad, can you hand me that pencil, the one with some eraser still on it? These Coax connectors are sucking up the dust.
Brad: Ray, watch that grid pin connector behind the blue force tracker.
Ray: Roger that big gay Brad.
Brad: Well, I would hate to lose our Satcom UHF antenna.
Ray: It is fucking sweet.
Brad: The era of VHF concentric network warfare is finally over. All our battle management software is sweeping in direct link. Falcon View anytime we need it. That’s twenty-first-century warfare for you.
Ray: Actually Brad, Falcon View is a civilian version. It’s like over the counter.
Brad: You mean off the shelf.
Ray: Yeah, I said that.
Brad: No, you didn’t.
Ray: Yeah, I did. But I used a poor choice of words, I meant to say off the shelf. I wish we’d installed those Bose outdoor speakers on the roof. Just roll through Iraqi towns playing music like Gg Allin.
Brad: Ray, are you breaking my “No Country Music” rule, again?
Ray: Are you kidding me? Gg Allin is like the original Punk Rocker who believed killing people should be legalized. He was fucking awesome.
Brad: Well, we don’t have speakers. Frankly, I’m glad. Anybody remember recon Marines are “Swift, Silent, and Deadly”?
Ray: What about “Swift, Silent, and Stoned”?
Brad: What? Why do you always say that stupid shit? You don’t even do drugs.
Ray: Well, how do you know?
Brad: You were on the debate team in high school.
Ray: So?
Brad: Nobody on the debate team does drugs or gets laid.
Ray: I-I just don’t see the facts in what you’re basing your argument on.
Brad: We all know you didn’t lose your virginity ‘til after Afghanistan. The whore in Australia, Ray.
Ray: Okay, Brad. She was a European African woman.
Brad: A ‘European African’?
Ray: Yes, she was.
Brad: No, she wasn’t. She was one of those big, angry, drunk women in the street in Perth selling boomerangs and playing didgeridoos.
Ray: Brad, Brad those just aren’t the pertinent facts, alright? We’re having a fucking professional debate here. And besides, she just grabbed me when I came out of the bar. It’s not like I asked.
Brad: Even if you’re claiming to be raped the fact stands you were a virgin until we got back from Afghanistan,
Ray: What about you, Brad? Some little pointy-headed Stewie baby raking the shag carpet in your fucking family’s living room.
Brad: Stop it, Ray.
Ray in a posh accent: Father, Mother, where is my carpet rake? Young Bradley Colbert the lonely freak with no friends who’s sole pleasure is raking the shag carpet of my mother and father’s house.
Brad: Ray, that is not relevant.
Ray, speaking over Brad: Brad, Brad, listen, listen, Brad. You used to rake the fucking shag carpet in your parents’ house. You used to rake it so all of the fibers would go in the same direction. That is totally, type-A OCD behavior, Brad. It’s kind of pathetic.
Brad: I DID IT ONCE, RAY. Once, and the point is-
Ray: The point is, Brad, you’re so fucking cute when you’re angry.
Brad: Turn the engine over, Ray.

A Playlist Of Melbourne´s Electronic Music Scene
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2d087ad5f19a1d82af855e43eb6c174f/3cdb0a09560e3a56-8d/s540x810/8e98d8485988056879945f91e0df16ab9fc53e51.jpg)
Goin' Good EP by Rudolf C
Songs in Your Name by Huntly
Where Will You Be Spending Eternity? by Francis Inferno Orchestra
The Jackal Pt 2 (BSR007) by Sleep D
Colours Of Infinity by Colours Of Infinity
