Kang looked so surprised by just about everything in the last few scenes but what surprises him the most is his own protective instinct.

Kang hates Sailom. Kang has never been in a situation like this before, he’s never had to be. But when push came to shove, he didn’t even really hesitate to jump right in to try and protect Sailom as much as he could. He’s clearly terrified to be playing one of the world’s worst games of chicken, but he’ll do it if it means the one he’s trying to protect is okay.

Then he stays. He stays and comforts Sailom as best he can. He stays and gets Sailom an ice pack and tries to help him with the bruising on his face.

He’s already showing that underneath the bluster and the bullying, is a good person who desperately wants to come out. He just doesn’t know how to change because he’s so angry at well…everything. For reasons known and unknown to the audience. It’s going to be fun to dive into that in the coming weeks.

15-Day BL Challenge in 1 Night!

I'm more of a lurker than a poster but Tumblr's my fave place to wallow in BLness. My 2nd favorite place is the spreadsheet where I track the shows I've watched (172 completed in just over a year), so @negrowhat 's challenge was irresistible. I'm gonna cram my answers in one post. Here goes!

Fave OG Actor Pairing: Some of the ones I think of as OG are only like 4 years old, so this was tough. And the 18 shows that have gotten my top score aren't very old. But I went through those 18 and picked the oldest, and it was the 2018 Korean microfilm Some More. Because it's so short it's super rewatchable, but even if I wasn't able to watch the whole thing a half dozen times (which I have), I'd still have gone back & watched the sweet moments and sex scene about 25 times (which I have). So I guess my fave OG actor pairing is Park Chan Ung and Kim Joon Bum! How they got me so deeply invested in their love in mere minutes is beyond me, but they did!

Fave Rookie Actor Pairing: Does Japan do the CP thing that Thailand does? I don't think so, but one couple I wish had about a dozen more BL series together lined up are Kouhei Higuchi and Atsuki Mashiko of My Personal Weatherman! Their chemistry was visceral and they're too pretty to be believed.

Side Dish That Should've Been the Main Course: While I enjoyed the main pairing a lot, they were nothing compared to the crazy rollercoaster side plot (how'd it go from so funny to SO dark to so sexy to so sweet and wholesome like that??) of Vegas/Pete from KinnPorsche!

Fave Ship Dynamic: Obvs from answers 2 & 3 I am not against D/s ships at ALL. Also a sucker for tough-but-submissive-bodyguard with mafia-brat-prince. Honestly I like tons of different dynamics from innocent to toxic, but one that gives me major butterflies is a guy who thinks he's straight but when confronted with the idea of liking another guy, doesn't have a macho freakout or run away, just kind of straightforwardly & sincerely searches his feelings until he figures it out. And then takes care of his baby. Why's that so HOT and sweet? Some of my fave examples: Pete/Ae in Love By Chance, Le Jian/Amber from DNA Says Love You, and Ida/Aoki from My Love Mix-Up!

Biggest Flop: This is expectations vs. execution, right? There's loads of shows I've abandoned, some I've stuck with for no good reason, etc., that are way worse than what I consider my personal biggest let-down. I was so enamored of Perth from LBC that I assumed he could do no wrong, and the bully-to-lover, rich/poor pairings often do it for me. So I guess I just assumed Dangerous Romance would be amazing, and it was REALLY good for a couple episodes. It wasn't the worst thing I ever saw, but so much of it just ... felt ... flat. Very surprising.

Fave Line From Your Fave Series: Well I know my fave series--Cherry Magic Thailand was the most perfect, entrancing, heartwarming series EVER, OMG, it was staggeringly good and stuck the landing in a way few shows have managed. I can't really think of one standout line--the script was so on point & there were HUNDREDS of sweet tingly moments. There were some epic ones in ep11 tho: When Achi says "The voice inside your head is so loud" and Karan (the boldest he's ever been) replies "Don't worry; soon you won't be able to read my mind anymore." (But then clearly uses that power one more time to gain the sweetest nonverbal consent EVER.) Then, Karan: "Do you regret losing your power?" Achi: "I'd regret not loving you." (OMG how I squealed.)

Fave Villain: This was so tough. An over-the-top villain I loved to hate (and an actor I loved from his sweetie-pie green-flag role in SCOY) was obvs Heng Asavarid as Chalothon in The Sign. But an actor who was so excellent at being loathsome and malicious toward the main couple, with just enough of a redemption arc that I didn't totally despise the character by the end (but did hate most of the way through): Park Hae In as Eun Ji (Jae Won's ex) in The Eighth Sense. It was a typical "faen fatale" role but so well done. So a tie between 2 totally different takes on the destructive ex.

The Trope You Hate Except When It's "This Series": OK, "hate" is a strong word for how I feel about the drop-of-rain-makes-you-ill so love-interest-takes-care-of-you trope. It's OK. But holy SHIT is it overused. Holy shit. I sigh resignedly when I realize we're going there. EXCEPT. When P'Phayu goes to visit Rain in Love in the Air when he's sick, and his version of caregiving? Forcibly applying medicine in the form of a rectal suppository. It is so funny, weirdly sexy, very in line with their dynamic (doesn't get in the way of their romance moments later at all), & it shoves a big middle finger up the overoveroverused sick-bed trope.

Most Visually Pleasing Love Scene: Okay, THE scene in The Sign is the clear winner in my & many people's books. But there are so many runners-up: the post-race one in Love in the Air. Just about every one in Pit Babe (both couples) & My Personal Weatherman. (A lot of other faves don't quite qualify as visually or emotionally pleasing--lustfully pleasing should be a 3rd category in this challenge!)

Most Emotionally Pleasing Love Scene: Again, I have a clear winner: Cherry Magic Thailand. So full of emotion, so well deserved, so everything. Sigh. But lots of runners-up: same scene in The Sign, both kissing scenes in DNA Says Love You (tame but soo emotionally satisfying), Ray & Sand's camper reunion in Only Friends, the post-prison love scenes for both couples in Kiseki: Dear to Me, the 1st time in I Feel You Linger in the Air ...

Breakup That Should've Stayed Broken Up: Maybe it's because I try to be choosy in what I watch all the way thru or maybe I'm a big softy who tends to root for every couple no matter how lame. In all my completed shows, I could only think of 2 breakups where I wasn't at all invested in them getting back together (and maybe against it): Tian/Poon, What Zabb Man and Top/Mew, Only Friends.

Wedding You Wish You Had an Invite To: If we're talking weddings that actually appeared in the show, Achi and Karan's in Cherry Magic Thailand, obvs! If it's hypothetical weddings, I'd be desperate to go to one of ANY of the characters in Playboyy! I'd wear a bulletproof vest & bring my own flask of booze, but it would be the trashy chaos-filled social event of a lifetime.

Give 5 Good Boys a Gold Star: Just 5? OK, some I haven't mentioned yet. 1. Shin Woo, Light on Me, 2. Palm, Never Let Me Go, 3. Mohk, Last Twilight, 4. Thun, He's Coming to Me, 5. Neua, Secret Crush on You. Best boys!

Before this week's GMMTV announcements, I thought it was a good time to review my bingo card from Part 1, and do some manifesting for what we haven't gotten yet.

What I got right on my bingo card from Part 1 (which in hindsight, I did better than I realized based on announcements):

- Enemies to lovers, Pond in a comedic role, and if you squint, sort of AouBoom as leads because it's an ensemble cast - all covered by We Are.

- BL series with new actors - a safe bet, yes, still counts, Only Boo (which is actually turning out quite cute).

- Workplace romance - The Trainee

- GemFourth in something cute & innocent - My Love Mix-Up

- Paranormal romance & Gawin in a new lead role with a new partner - My Golden Blood, now to be joined by The Vampire Project for the paranormal part

- I'm also pretty sure I picked ViewJune as a side couple before they were confirmed as one for 23.5, so I'm gonna take credit for that as well.

What seems likely in Part 2:

- Mark Pakin in a lead role. He kind of spilled the beans already, plus it would be fucking dumb to not give him a lead at this point.

- 2 GLs in 2024. Pluto takes one spot, and based on rumors of a particular author posting about the event, another seems likely. (Pluto might also technically qualify as my secret identity romance pick but it remains to be seen).

- FirstKhao romcom. We want it, they want it, it's basic math. Give it!

- Neo paired with someone new and in a non-comedic role. I haven't heard much rumorwise, but I got the impression that Mark may be partnered with someone else. Which I think is good! They worked in Only Friends, but I think it's good to have a roster of flexible BL actors. I know Neo will be in My Golden Blood, so that sorta already counts for a serious role, but I assume he'll get more as well. (Omg, what if he hooks up with Mond as villain boyfies).

Less likely but not impossible:

- Remake of a Korean series. But after mining Japan so successfully, they might want to attempt more (especially if Korea is more flexible with airing rights).

- BL series with actors over 30. Their actors and audience are all getting older, let's bring in some maturity (Yes, of course this is about Papang making out onscreen for my enjoyment, I apologize for nothing).

Not gonna happen and I will be salty about it:

- JoongDunk vampire series. The Vampire Project is right there. Joong as a serial killer is also acceptable. (But of course I will watch them in whatever they get. I would just love for them to not be in university once again.)

- Midnight Museum 2. You give me such beautiful weird chaos and a perfect BL setup for season 2. And we won't get it, because god forbid that Gun ever get to kiss a man who isn't Off. Let him make out with other people, goddammit!!

Not in my card but manifesting all the same:

- Something worthy of Perth. Look, I like Chimon. He is very talented. And I had fun with Dangerous Romance. But I can't deny there was a chemistry problem. I think they can get past it, I really do, but they need the right series, the right coaching - heck, hire Saint to come do a one-on-one class of "how to make out with Perth like you mean it".

- Keep breaking out of the predictable BL settings. They've started to, and they need to keep it up. I'd love a strong sci-fi.

- More trans characters. More gender diversity. More breaking stereotypes.

Thai QL Favorites Tag game

First time doing this, I think Ive been here for a month? Came from reddit but wasn't part of the bl community there.

Of course I'm following along with the Favorite thing over "best" cause it's probably more interesting than just saying ITSAY.

Favorite Thai QL: So I want to say Not Me or 1000 stars, for different reasons. I started watching Not Me before I understood it was a BL, and was very confused when offgun started having "moments". Wasn't mad about it, just wasn't expecting it. I thought it was just mystery/social commentary. That said, I wish it went a little harder on the social commentary, but I understand that they might have pushed as far as they could at the time (while still getting money to make the show)

But 1000 stars made me feel all the emotions and if I ever need to just have a good cry, that's my go to.

Favorite Pairing: Disclaimer, I hate the fanservice and pressure for the actors to act like they're dating. That being said, I like OffGun, omg I love Gun's acting in Not Me. And I like EarthMix, I just wish Earth was able to not be type cast into such serious roles. He seems like a very funny dude, give him a character who can be bubbly. I like everything they've been in, and I hope to see more in the future.

Most underrated actor: Perth Nakhun Screaigh? I'd like to see him in more stuff. Before Laws of Attraction came out I would have said Film. Jam and Film both did great in To Sir, here's to hoping they get more attention.

Favorite Character: It might be early, but Charn from Laws of Attraction. From a show that is already completed, White. We took a well off boy who saw there was wrong in the world, decided he didn't like how his brother was doing things, and figured his own way of fixing the world. I'm starting to see I have a type. Charn might be a mix of Black and White if they had decided to work from inside the judicial system. Protecting who they could while being jaded and waiting for a chance to get back at those in power.

Favorite Side Character: I'm a simple person - Max from BMF, just because it's nice to see a confident gay character that is smart. He doesn't have much screen time, but whenever he does I am so ready for it.

Favorite scene in a QL: Pisaeng winning the stuffed animal for Kawi in Be My Favorite. How he was acting before and after, the whole thing was perfect and showed so much of Pisaeng's character. My favorite type of scene, and I think Thai bl does a really good job at it, is colored lighting. I think I first noticed it in KP during the Vegas Pete scenes. They started mixing the colors as Pete and Vegas started to understand each other more *chefs kiss* that type of thing is my jam.

Favorite line in a QL: Oh this is hard cause I do not have the memory for these types of things. So I'm going to cheat a little and say anytime consent is asked for and given.

Most Anticipated QL (& why): Looking forward to Only Friends really no other reason than it looks like it's about to be great fun. Also the two horror bls coming up, The Whisper and The shadow? I don't know much about either and I'm going to keep it that way.

Healthiest relationship in a QL: Gun and Cher from a boss and a babe? Cher did feel super inferior but that didn't come from Gun. Gun supported Cher with everything and Cher felt comfortable to "act like a bad boss" in our skyy. I liked their whole vibe.

Most toxic relationship in a QL: EVERYONE from Love Syndrome? Just... the whole thing. Itt and Day's levels of jealousy are off the charts and played off as romantic. Day doesn't want Itt to learn how to cook or do anything for himself because he wants Itt to be completely dependent on him. I'm hoping for Only friends to be toxic, but not played off as romantic.

Guilty pleasure series: I will knock you or ghost host ghost house. They're both really fun and I can just turn off my brain to watch.

Most Underrated Series: Apparently La Pluie? To Sir With Love needs more attention, but it's very different than what we normally expect from Thailand. Also, even though I understand all the flack it got, I really liked Step By Step.

omg I saw your post about the jungle and I have to rant because I’m so conflicted! On the one hand it has some of my favs in it and so I want to adore it, but on the other hand the whole thing is just MESSY. And from what I’ve heard of the source material, they’ve stuck to it super closely including dedicating a chapter/episode to each character and I think it’s that (plus the really underwhelming production values) that’s bothering me the most. As far as I’m aware there’s no overarching storyline and so it comes across as a series of short stories set in the same place. I also do recognise though that the actor schedules were also apparently really difficult to work around, and that’s probably affected the series in regards to scenes with the full or most of the cast.

Having said all that, I’ve definitely seen A LOT worse from gmmtv even in recent years and I keep reminding myself that at least it’s messy in a fun, sexy way rather than completely bland (apart from leemook which broke my heart because I was looking forward to seeing them together again). For example if I go by series this year, UMG looked beautiful and was acted well but was horrifically boring, double savage almost tried to market itself as a pseudo bl with perth and ohm and was tedious to get through, I couldn’t get past the first episode of loneliness society and I wasn’t enamoured with 10yt except for view and off. And that’s not me even touching on some of the underwhelming bls.

Also I am trying to keep the faith and have hope because I feel there’s been a drastic improvement from episode 1 to episode 6 and that scene with the twins fighting each other in the parking lot in particular was so good and such an amazing performance from Nanon who apparently worked for 6 hours shooting it and I commend him going so hard for something as unserious as this

okay so first of all I agree with mostly everything you said in this post! I didn't even know the show was adapted from an original material, now the one episode per character makes much more sense! but yeah the lack of overarching material IS an issue, but on top of that the writing is so bad?? from the shows you've mentioned I've only seen 10yt & loneliness society, which I both liked enough & personally I think the writing for these shows is MILES better than for the jungle. I agree that ep 6 was the best episode so far, and it's down to nanon's AMAZING performance & also his great chemistry with mild, but all of that could not cover how SHIT the writing was this ep. nithan is DISAPPOINTED that naannam does a no show to her engagement ceremony EVEN THOUGH she now believes him to be a cheater and a MURDERER??? then he shows up & SHE'S HAPPY???? then the real naannam arrives & professes his love without clearing the air once & telling her the truth AND SHE STILL ACCEPTS TO BE WITH HIM?????? the twins make up OUT OF NOWHERE??? and say they love each other OUT OF NOWHERE???? in fact, I was so confused as to which twin was who until I watched this latest ep, and believe we shouldn't have known of naanfah existence at all until the reveal to punpun's character so WE'D BE SHOCKED TOO!!! yes that would've been a cliche plot twist, but at least there would have BEEN a plot twist! I just cannot, tbh. it's giving the three gentlebros level of writing but with even less screen time & I actually liked t3gb bc it was a silly surface level romcom whereas this does not want to be one but most absolutely is. the dichotomy is killing me I fucking hate it here 😭

Midnight Museum (airing)

I've just watched the first two eps today and I am intrigued!! It's my first time seeing Tor act and omg I'm loving him so far! His micro-expressions are on point and his face is really expressive so I already feel so much for his character :( Also I love how his tone changes whenever he talks to Dome. His voice seems to echo all the emotions Khatha has stifled... I can't wait to know more about him! I had seen Gun act in Theory Of Love but it's nice seeing him again. Dome seems to be such an emphatic character *insert heart-breaking emoji*. He already has my heart :((

Random things I want to say about this series: - I have mixed feelings about the make-up the actors are wearing. I love subtle make-up but Gun's lips look way too glossy at times and it's just weird given the circumstances his character founds himself in. - I can't quite believe Tor and Gun are the same age. Gun looks so small next to him >< Gun is nailing the earnest/innocent vibe for Dome's character.

Our Dating Sim (airing)

It looks pretty good so far so let's this how the plot develops ^^ I don't have much to say about it except that I hope Lee Wan will never feel the need to apologise again after kissing the person he loves.

I never rewatch series/dramas but I'd like to rewatch Beyond Evil at some point because I miss it :(

Hello, hello!! It's me, your favorite graduate, back with a burning question! ;)

I am in the middle of episode 11 of Why R U? (literally paused in the middle of it because I am WAY too invested in FighterTutor and am seriously dreading what is coming) - what a messy, cringey show. There are so many freaking characters, and my question is inspired by one that I have come to love, Kae. He is Tutor's boss at the bakery, and after he (bravely, in IRL standards) confronts Fighter's dad I realized just how much I appreciated his character and how annoyed I am that the show couldn't cut down its cabal of unnecessary characters to focus on more interesting ones. Not only is he an astonishingly great example (for a BL!!) of a queer "elder" in the community - he protects Tutor from creepy customers, gives him a job when he needs one and looks for help when he needs more work, is working-class himself, and tries to give advice to this lonely queer kid he's taken under his wing - he also seems to be a rare less-stereotypical portrayal of a Thai person with darker skin (if not the only, honestly, in my limited experience watching these shows).

So! My question is, are there any side characters or even guest characters (like Kae is billed as) who you wish had been given more latitude or importance in the plot/story of a BL?

She was just... so effortlessly cool. Do I need to say more? 

3. TulHin in Love By Chance 2

I LOVE THEM, OKAY. Classic whipping boy, my goddamn catnip. And these two actors had amazing chemistry. Ae’s whole arc and character should have been dropped from this script in favor of more time with these truly damaged goods. Yes, I said it. Sorry Perth. 

AND ALSO 

4. Keen in Love By Chance 2

Can’t believe I chose multiples from MAME trash but heh, whatever is necessary for the truth right? Basically this show needed a massive rewrite, but it could have been done. 

That’s what’s so frustrating about MAME’s stuff, it’s so close to being amazing...  It’s like this fantastic 5 course meal but you will be barfing at some point. Maybe the end? Maybe the middle? Maybe multiple times? It’s a regurgitation surprise! 

5. Fong the Philosopher in Still 2gether 

Khaotung is untaped genius at physical comedy. I love him in this role SO HARD. I think we got a lot from him in season one, but I wanted more in season 2.

It would have been fine, no BETTER, if Porsche & Vegas had developed as a friendship and Vegas had NOTICED Pete in a significant way much earlier.*

Honorable Mention

All the GLs that should have had more screen time like the cuties in Meow Ears Up, InkPa in Bad Buddy, and Friend Zone 2, and I could keep going.

 The angry roommate ex lover in Love Class. I just really loved the actor and was very intrigued by the character. We could have spent much less time exploring the stalker story and more time with this boy and still kept the dumb sort KBL length. All in all, the weight of this narrative was all over the place but not using this character to the fullest was a problem.

The two besties of the seme in Mr Unlucky, SO CUTE.

The nerdy support boy who knows what it’s like to be gay and the artsy girl with serious self defense skills from Blueming.

The whole university friendship group that *almost* happened in Cherry Blossoms After Winter.

Mew the ex boyfriend in Together With Me. I don’t know what they were doing with his character. And they didn’t either. But ho boy was he EASY on the eyes. So easy. I mean it takes work to pull attention away from MaxTul and he had ALL MY ATTENTION.

K.O. & HAO MEI (Love O2O) 

I will die on this tiny hill of censored bromance. More of them would have substantially improved this show. 

I'm not picking shows that couldn’t be saved. 

So I love KhunKaow in Brothers and CopyNampu in Top Secret Together and SanAei in You’re My Sky, Saint in Our Days, Jun in Love Area 2, but I don't think more of them could have save their respective shows because then it would have been MORE terrible show to watch. I call these the "I'm your huckleberry" awards. I give one each year to the couple that was the only good thing in an otherwise irredeemable show. Like Val Kilmer in Tombstone (bite me).

Random thoughts on Vice Versa ep 8

I wonder why it's so important for them to have the film made this year... I guess it's because they're scared they will either travel back to their own universe before they get to make it, or that one of them might die...?

I couldn't believe Talay was selling off those clothes so cheap - those amounts are not going to get a film made. He'll need to sell 50-100,000 items to get the kind of money they need. Thank goodness Tun/Puen stopped him...but also, how did Talay not question or realise it was him?!

I loved every appearance of Fuse this ep. As soon as I knew he was going to appear, I squealed to myself "Oh my god what's Fuse's shirt going to say?!" like a fricking child on their birthday.

I laughed out loud at 'Headbook'. I love anytime they do something slightly off kilter in the alternative universe. I was slightly disappointed then that Mek went in for a high five - couldn't they have done something slightly different like with the finger-counting?!

OMG I yelled at the screen when I saw Ae Perth. He's a fantastic actor and I can't wait to see him in his own series again. I also loved the plane-café location. I love the fact that it might have been used in the Y-Destiny eps with the other Perth actor and the actor Talay (and Yoon of course). I wonder if they chose it for that reason...

I don't even know where to start with the cats, the lions behind Mek with those plush red seats, and the Tay Tawan scenes. Madness. but poor kitties. Oh I need to gush about how FANTASTIC it is that kitten in Thai is 'nong meow'...(or something like that)!!!

AND I LOVE THAT MEK MEANS CLOUD! Thai nicknames ftw! Just all this word play is so great, and that it utilises both english and thai languages 👏🏼

Have you noticed that Puen keeps saying Talay's name after he says something to him...almost like an emphasis. I don't notice Talay doing it back so much if at all (he'll say Tun in a sentence or as a 'wtf?!'). So I wonder if, once Talay knows Puen's name, he will do the same pointedly - as a thing, as an acknowledgement that Puen kept doing it and now Talay can do it because he knows Puen's name… Well, I hope so...

Oh my god, they're so cute during the mirroring…I feel like I'm watching Jimmy and Sea sometimes. And someone said it reminded them of Pat and Pran's Oishi tea improvised dance...and yes, yes it does (because everything reminds me of bad buddy).

I can't believe I wrote this note after the mirroring: "I do feel tired at seeing Talay pull away from Puen though. I know there are reasons why but my god a kiss wouldn't hurt would it? Or at least to not pull away as though he's put off by the idea of kissing Puen. smh" and then the show went and GAVE ME THE KISS I SO DEMANDED NEEDED!

(I didn't clock at first that the glitching was deliberate...but maybe that's because I'm so used to bad quality wifi where I'm staying that I thought it was either the streaming...or even on the video itself [sorry, gmmtv but your quality isn't top notch - sound issues, for example]...and I can see now that it's glitching because of the whole 'they've found their portkeys!' or even just 'they've fallen in love!'...but I think they could have done it a bit less subtle so that there wouldn't be so many of us going, "wait, what? that wasn't my shitty computer?!")

Okay this is super difficult to answer because I rewatch a lot of shows, but I also get sick of them very easily lol. I think I will go with Old Fashion Cupcake or Cherry Magic for now, but also Minato Shouji Coin Laundry is so good as well. Then there is my precious Sotus and of course 1000 stars. Omg I’m all over the place now 🤦🏻‍♀️

2. If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?

I think we all know this one is going to be MODC because we all know it’s the drama that shall not be named lol. Another one would probably be Kieta Hatsukoi. It was just so anti climactic 🙃

So I don’t know if I have a favorite drama but I will say Tian in 1000 Stars and of course my baby Leon in DSN. Also I love Fah in Sky in your Heart. 😍

I usually HATE dropping shows but check out was terrible also The Cupid coach and hidden love. Awful 🤦🏻‍♀️

Top Secret Together and Love Area 2. What even was that?!?! Also I really did not like Dark blue & Moonlight or My Boy. Those were both train wrecks to me.

hi uhm idk if youre the person i should ask this but i just finished watching my engineer and im not really sure if youve watched it BUT.. are we still sure there will be a season 2? i just need it to happen as ram&king officially became one of my ultimate bl couples..wish I met them sooner omg were they hyped? i literally only watched their scenes and skipped everything else. sry im hooked just needed someone to talk about this..to me, they're perfect omg i loved every single scene especially that one with ram's dogs IN COMBINATION with king's nephews!!!!

There is no guarantee of anything, sadly, and a season 2 is definitely not certain.

Is there a good chance? Yes. Maybe?

But never, ever count on these things.

Frankly, I think it's growing more unlikely as the other actors get more roles and more parts in different shows and spread out to do new things and stop waiting.

Ram and King are a fantastic couple, it's true, but I honestly don't think we're gonna get more of them.

Maybe we will! I know they want to make more, I know the plan is to make more, I know that everyone wants more.

But I'm not anticipating anything at this point.

Am I sure? No.

I know nothing, though, I just guess based on trends and what I'm seeing.

And seeing almost all the actors in different roles and with new production companies and in different places makes me a little wary about saying it's a sure thing. Or even a likely thing. At all.

Literally the concept is also just amazing, plus the representation is actually accurate?? LIKE ITS SO RELATABLE JLSJFKJKJKD AND REAL. AND THE CHARACTERS ARE SO KLJLKFJDLKJLSKJD.

THE SETS ARE SO PRETTY. THE VISUALS. ASTOUNDING. THE ACTING KSLJFKJLDF. It exceeded my expectations holy crap and the chinese culture incorporated into it feels so nice and genuine. literally i watched some of it today before my chinese class lmao. OMG AND THE OST.

Part 2 of my quarantine induced Thai bl drama review

Theory of Love 6/10 ussually I like friends to lovers and unrequited love but not when one of them is an asshole ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ acting and side characters (esp bone and two ly guys) were good though but I reaaaaaally do not like khais behaviour. It's hard for me to be invested when I don't understand why anyone would love khai.. Also the story didn't really sucked me in. Way better than tt tho at least I finished it lmao

Kiss me again 10/10 this is not a rating for the whole series since I skipped everything except PeteKao storyline. (I tried getting into the other couples but OMG they were so unlikable why do they portray m/f relationships that way?? Rating for the whole series would be a 3 at best) I love Kao so much he might be one of my favourite characters. Enemies to friends to lovers is my absolute favourite trope in romance! And I love a good group dynamic plot I love the cool gang

Dark Blue Kiss 8/10 sadly enough I did not like dbk as much as kma but that is mostly because they butchered Kao's character imo why would he be so timid and let people walk all over him?? In kma he was soft and kind but he didn't take shit from anyone! But still the PeteKao scenes were great and I liked the overall storyline. Also Mork owns my entire heart wth?? Also also Kitty is mvp I love her so much?? The drama was a bit much for my soft heart but I still watched all of it in one day! (not without checking first if PeteKao would get back together in the end, I couldn't have handled them breaking up) this would be an easy 100/10 if Kao would just friggin talk!! Talk to anyone I don't even care to whom but open your mouth boi!!

Waterboyy 4/10 I only started watching because of New and got very excited at a wlw storyline but oh my god I got so freaking bored with this I CANNOT. I like the actors but I felt most characters fell really flat, would not recommend unless you really like m/f school romance

Love Mechanics idkyet/10 I liked the first episode a lot and I think it has promise to be a nice hatelove story but I don't want the one guy keep cheating on his gf. I haven't watched tossara yet and idk if I will (I watched part of the first ep and the story was moving so fast i had to stop lol) so I have no bad feelings toward the main character I think he is adorable

Not Thai Dramas

The Lover (Korean Drama 19+) 100/10 came for takuya/joonjae stayed for the series PLEASE WATCH THIS DRAMA ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE EVER LIVED WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER!! I loved this so drama so much it was so much fun to watch the different couples at different stages of living together. I could relate to every character and got so invested in their lifes, my heart broke in thousand pieces during the last episode. The writing and acting was so good and realistic! I think many scenes were improvised! It doesn't have a lot of action or plot and is very dialogue and character heavy since it is about daily life of people living together. I have so much more to say about this but that would get too long for a textpost. (It's on kissasian.nz btw but ep 8 is not complete for some reason)

Great Men Academy shook me to my core and I really regret that my viewing experience was cut off like that because I would've been a bigger stan if I could've seen each episode when they were released. But it was still really good! Though I honestly don't want a season 2 because I feel like they have nothing left to say and everyone got a relatively happy ending. One season is perfect 😊

I searched it on youtube and idk if that's what you're talking about but I saw the longer kiss scene and the moment the actors kiss outside of the series and like... I'm mad they didn't include the whole kiss because damn!

Vier and Rose/Sean were cute af but I don't want Vier to be happy tbh because Tangmo might have forgiven him for outing him but I can't forget, I don't hate him but I don't forgive him either haha

As for Reminders, it's very cringy so keep that in mind but the SaintPerth kiss was cute and I can't wait to see Saint in Why r u the series (?) because apparently he plays a very different role from Pete and I feel like Reminders is already giving us a taste of it

Ohana!

After a kid free weekend and an awesome night out with the girls oh and the help of some awesome aspirin, we woke up Sunday morning to a 28-30 degree day. Then stupidly encouraged each other that we should make a day of it!  “Let’s go to the markets in Freo” dummy one suggests, “OMG yes let’s do it we’ll get pretty, go get some food, get some sunlight” dummy two and three agree. Keep in mind Sunday after a “night out” with the girls usually consists of sleep, dark room and silence till the kids roll in and force me to live again.

So we make our way to Fremantle all the way from Midland (30 – 40 min drive depending on the dopey traffic which in hangover terms is 2 hours lol). It’s going great we’re perking each other up, and telling each other how GREAT the idea was for getting out of the house today instead of spending it in bed. The markets were awesome and we were in such great spirits, I think I wandered off and got lost alone a couple times. Just getting fresh air was good for the soul, we watched an awesome side show performed outside a pub. The actor asked if we were single and we all laughed and walked in the direction that the food smell was coming from lol.

We got a whole lot of food that didn't satisfy us. Obviously all we wanted to do was drink, we’d been through at least 5 bottles of water since the beginning of the market and I felt like I was drier than a freken prune. I had gone from pretty face and pretty hair too, sweat dripping from my forehead which had caused my hair to slowly frizz and my make-up was falling off my face faster than the Maori’s migrating through Perth lol. I looked and felt a mess and my mood and positive vibe was slowly taking a dive. 

Cue my precious girlfriend whom I love so much and if she ever reads this will be in hysterical fits cause she knows exactly where I’m going with this, comes up with an idea “I know lets go to Ohana, they have yummy fresh fruit smoothies. My interest perks because I wanted something cold and this could be my attempt at this healthy lifestyle balance thing with the fresh fruit. “ alright how far is it then” By now my little sister is on board “ yeeeh lets go it’s just down the road” because my cousin and I were thirsty as shit we were in.

Ten fucking hours later in 30 degree heat we’re still walking. If I could shoot lasers out my eyes at my friend believe me DEAD DEAD DEAD!! lol Just picture a walrus trying to find its way back to water sounds and all yep that’s me. Ok so it wasn't 10 hours it was like 15 mins but fuck me, I’m hungover its 30 degrees my throats caving in and I just need some shade give me a break. Anyway we finally make it to Ohana, we’re pushing and shoving to get through the door first, to get to the air con and for fuck sakes there was NONE! 

So here we are at Ohana 30 degrees outside and about 38ish inside the shop. We get to the counter and I watch my friend who cleverly suggested this place to us, order hers. It was so complicated but sounded so amazing, I picked up on what we had to do and ordered my own. The selection of fresh fruit to dried fruit muesli and nuts was so yummy I couldn’t wait to get it in my shrivelled up dry throat. Then she announced the price 15 fucking dollars! YES $15. Taking a mental note to kick the shit out of my girlfriend once back in civilization I paid and waited for my Ohana mix to come out.

Finally they were ready I took my spoon looking at my cousin who was in the same mind frame as I was and we took our first taste of this blissful fresh mixture we had put together. And it was fucking SHIT!!!! Sour upon sour upon sour, with a whole lot of hard shit mixed around in it. Oh and banana, I cursed it out because my personal opinion was that it tasted like shit in a bowl. This is why the healthy balance and I just don’t work out lol. But for the price of it, there was no way we were going to waste it. My cousin and I fought to the end of the bowl, we even walked around the corner to a cafe to get sugar packets to empty in our Ohana shit bowl so it tasted a little better. While my shit friend that took us there laughed and ate hers like it was a dream in her mouth! lol 

So that’s my Ohana experience, and also an introduction to the people that keep my life in check and make sure when I have days off being a mom that I enjoy it! My circle of friends and family keep my heart making the beating sound and my soul healthy and vibrant!
