WHO is this guy?!?!?

The AvM/AvA community was wondering about a month ago. Yeah... I'm pretty late to this as you can see, I had some stuff to do but I have been wanting to post about this for a bit, so here we go!

This guy has been nicknamed "The one" by the animation vs animator fandom. (Yes.. the spacing is on purpose xD) This is because he looks like a knockoff of TCO, which is pretty funny to be honest. He has generated lots of fan art, and even ships? (We'll talk about this later)

I see this guy of a placeholder, kind of. Basically sometimes he appears in the AvG thumbnails as a representation of the game. BUT there is this one instance when he is FLYING IN THE AIR WITH FLAMES which might actually be him cosplaying as TCO. We don't know. This guy is very mysterious

For example, here's a stick figure from a thumbnail where they played omori, it's probably just Sunny in a stick figure form, but we don't know, it might be THE ONE (still probably not but maybe they hired him or something for this thumbnail, we don't know)

Ok, I need to ask your opinion on my Crackship. It's called BitterSpice (A.K.A Burning Spice x Dark Cacao) And it's the center of my universe right now.

Factable Facts:

•They are enemy lovers

•There's no redemption or corruption, just enjoying eachother's company until the very end.

•They are both tired and depressed because of their duty in their own ways

•They have secret meetings every now and then

•DC enjoys hearing stories from older times than he. BS enjoys "sparring" with DC since he is the only other one able to defeat him in battle.

•They had rules to not fall in love with eachother, but ended up breaking every single one of them.

•DC writes poetry from time to time. While BS makes fun of him because of it, he still keeps every single poem DC wrote for him somewhere.

•He's the one who leads, but he's also in the recieving end 😏

I can see what you're getting at here. No redemption or corruption is certainly an interesting angle to go for; it lends itself more to that moral dilemma of "how do you justify loving a bad person", you know? And I love me some moral dilemmas in fiction lol

Where do they meet? When do they find the time? How did they meet in the first place? I assume the other Ancients and Beasts don't know about them? If they do, how do they feel? You should think about the answers to these questions, I bet you could weave an interesting story with them!

... Can't really say I ship it, though 😅 I'm the type of bozo that, when I get invested enough in a ship, they're it for me. I can't see them with anybody else ever. They become a fundamental law of my universe. Burning Spice x Golden Cheese (and Pitaya Dragon x Fire Spirit) is the be all end all for this little loser over here lol. I do understand your vision, though! Ship BurningCacao/BitterSpice to your heart's content!

Just for fun, here are my rapid fire rambling thoughts on the ATLA ships and platonic dynamics hehe (please don’t go full ship wars tho - these are just my opinions as a chill multishipper!)

My Favorite Ships:

• Zukka - My current brainrot and main ship!! I know they aren’t canon but I really love them and their potential okay😭I just feel like their personalities would work so well! Sokka would call Zuko on his shit and Zuko would be good at grounding Sokka when he needs it. Plus I have seen some absolutely breathtaking AUs with this ship! And fire-and-ice vibes except gay! Them <3

• Kataang - Cutiessss!! I love them! They may not be the ship I think about most often, but when I do think about them, they’re adorable! Aang is such a “my wife” guy and Katara absolutely adores him back! Also the last airbender x last southern waterbender dynamic goes HARD! I like that these two are canon!

• Yuetara - Listen I know they barely interacted but THEY’VE ACTUALLY GROWN ON ME SO MUCH LATELY AND I VERY HIGH KEY SHIP THEM! Something about like, Katara thinking about Yue when she bends is so😭Their story would be heartbreaking in the best way!! Sapphic noncanon blorbos <3

• Mailee - These two are SO cute and have so much potential rahhh!! Again, love some noncanon sapphics <3

• Batkoda - Super SUPER cute and silly and fun! The dads fr <3 Bato is either Katara and Sokka’s adopted uncle or their stepdad and I love it for them hehe! This usually pairs well with a “Hakoda adopts Zuko” AU lmao!

Other Canon/Relatively Popular Ships:

• Zutara - A good ship! I see the potential and tbh it’s very very fun to think about sometimes!!! However, some of y’all toxic Zutara stans need to leave my boy Aang alone lmao. Those who are chill tho, I rock with y’all!! Overall, I’m not opposed if it’s done well and I do sometimes seek out Zutara content! I personally do prefer writing them as found siblings tho, especially with the Azula and Katara parallels!!

• Sukka - Canon cuties!! I really like them! Suki my BELOVED <3 She’s so underrated!

• Yukka - Also canon cuties! They make me sad tho ahhhhh😭😭😭

• Maiko - Also ALSO canon cuties!! They have an interesting dynamic that I can really appreciate! And gotta love Mai <3

• Jinko - Jin my beloved! These two had a super cute dynamic during the one episode they had together lmaoooo, tho I don’t think about this ship too too often.

• Tokka - I don’t mind it if it’s them getting together as adults! But tbh I personally don’t prefer shipping them as teens and I think Toph’s crush was just a typical young girl crush on someone slightly older lol. Definitely not horrible and most Tokka shippers are relatively chill! I like to think Sokka sees Toph as a little sister tho.

Now For Some Of The Crackship-y/Less Popular Ships (based on ships I’ve actually seen):

• Zukki (Zuko/Sokka/Suki) - Power throuple fr and I love some polyamory!! While I mostly lean plain Zukka, this is extremely fun to think about and would be a great dynamic!

• Mai/Ty Lee/Suki - Saw this in a Zukka fic once and it was adorableeeeee! I may not have plans to actively write this or anything, but it’s cute! Another power throuple!

• Jetko - I don’t think they would be compatible long term, but by god they are very very fun to think about in a “Jet flirts with Zuko and Zuko is completely oblivious and they share one kiss before everything goes to shit” way lmao!

• Taang - I can respect it!! I will always love them as chaos siblings personally, but it’s a totally valid and chill ship!

• Katoph - Not a bad ship at all! I’ve only come across like one post tho lmao. Also I do think I heavily prefer them as found sisters, but that’s just me personally! Again, totally a valid and chill ship!

• Azutara - I’m very neutral on this lmao. I don’t despise it at all and it could be pretty interesting?? But tbh really not something I plan to seek out.

• Azulaang - I mean?? I’m also pretty neutral on this one. Aang would be kind to her if she was trying to get help but…idk lmao.

• Tyzula - I see the potential, but I personally think Mai and Ty Lee had a healthier and more interesting and more realistic dynamic. Just my preference tho!

(I think I just want Azula to be in therapy before I reallyyyyy ship her lmao, but NOT THE KIND OF “THERAPY” SHE WAS GIVEN IN THE COMICS)

• Zukaang - I don’t love this as a ship honestly. The canon age gap as teens is sketchy for my personal taste, tho I’ve seen people ship them in “Aang was 16 when he got frozen” AUs and that’s…better and I can get behind it a little! It would be interesting! But I think Roku being Zuko’s great-grandpa just still throws me off of this ship. I don’t have any beef with the shippers tho! I’m very “live and let live” and I have seen so much worse lol.

Can’t Forget My Fav Platonic Dynamics!

• Sokka and Aang - Two found brothers who share one idiot braincell when they interact LMAO! Love them always <3

• Sokka and Katara - The siblings ever!!

• Zuko and Aang - Enemies to found brothers!! Canon besties! I love their friendship and their parallels SO MUCH!!

• Toph and Katara - Absolutely ADORABLE as found sisters!!!! Love them!

• Zuko and Katara - I really like their development in a platonic sense and I think they’re very very fun and lovely found siblings by the end!!!! Zuko is 100% the brother that just “yeah my sister can and will whoop your ass” LMAO!

• Zuko and Toph - Also very found siblings in my head!! Only have a handful of solo interactions in canon but I DON’T CARE! I WILL FOUND FAMILY THEM ANYWAY! I’m a “Toph seeks out Zuko for sibling hugs/cuddles when she’s cold because he’s basically a space heater” truther.

• Uncle Iroh and the Gaang - Zuko needs to learn to share because that is ALL OF THEIR Uncle!!!

• Hakoda and Zuko - I thrive in this section of the fandom!! They have exactly one (1) frame together in canon, but I ADORE Dadkoda adopting Zuko! Something about it is just so wholesome and cute!!! My very very fav ATLA fics are this trope!!#LetHakodaBitchSlapOzaiAndAdoptZuko2024

• Uncle Iroh and Zuko - God they make me so ALSNDKSNXNCNSNSNXNX, y’know?

• The Gaang as a whole - Obvious I know, but I really do love them😭They all bonded sm and I adore their little family!! I eat up fanart of the Gaang cuddling like CANDY omg. And yes Suki is included in the Gaang because WHY WOULDN’T SHE BE!

Why I am personally ok with Leosagi AND Donsagi :)

Ok, I see a lot of people always hating on donsagi ( some call it a ‘crackship’ I believe.) for frankly just not being Leosagi. Saying things like “It doesn’t make since” or “ Leosagi is better”.

Now Personally, I ship Leosagi. But that doesn’t mean I hate on donsagi! Donsagi is quite cute and usually projected as a nice little fluff ship. And I believe you should be able to ship who you want unless it’s not a proship/com ship or incest.

Now, when people say; “ Donsagi doesn’t make since!”. This is very true, the two are from two shows. BUT, it’s not exactly a crackship. Usagi IS part of the TMNT Universe; which is why the leosagi ship is embraced in the tmnt fandom.

Now; if donsagi is seen as a ship that makes no sense, then so should ( rise ) leosagi. Now 2003/1987 leosagi is different, because usagi is part of those iterations and lore. But Usagi is nowhere found in ROTTMNT, so your kinda be hypocritical if you say Donsagi makes no sense, when you still ship ( rise ) Leosagi, Which in sense neither ships make absolute sense.

In all seriousness, you can ship whoever you like, as long as it’s not incest/proship. But please don’t hate on people who ship Donsagi just because you ship leosagi; we are all just having fun!

2. Why I do or don't ship them.

in this essay I will

alright so, you may know that I am, in fact, rarely into crackships. but what's fun about Eyjafrit is that it might be the number one ship for both characters! I guess it mostly started as a joke and because they seem roughly the same age, barbecue and fire, you know the thing. so far they've interacted like once in canon, and it's in Ifrit's operator record;

it's not much but it's yuri. there's also the implication that they seem to know each other or be close, because Ifrit doesn't know the names of Mint or Beeswax, instead calling them "black ears" or "sand girl",

but she knows Eyjafjalla, which is probably one of the hardest names to remember!! and for Ifrit, to remember a name this hard to spell, it means a lot

BUT outside of these little interactions, the reason why I really love them together is because I think they would help each other to shine as a characters

Ifrit is shown as a really dynamic girl, but most of all, as a caring and careful person. Adele pretty much counts as disabled at this point, her ears and eyes getting gradually worse. the idea that Ifrit, who is usually mistaken as impulsive, would be ready to help out and take care of Adele, is extremely cute to me. it would also show how much she had grown up, and how the way Silence and Saria took care of her when she was herself weak influenced her. we also know she takes courses at the medical department, she really wants to help others! and her little silly side would definitely be great to help bring a smile on Adele's face and give her a break from studying and work

on Eyjafjalla's side, the concept of family is equally really important, and that she lost her parents had changed who she is and forced her to "grow up" too fast. I like the idea that having Ifrit would be like a new family to her, especially that I'm sure that Silence and Saria would love to know her (and since Eyjafjalla is a research herself, I'm a hundred percent sure they'd go along!). it can be a really nice family substitute, and help Adele to take less on herself and focus on her happiness

the last dramatic point I really like is how both have really bad case of Oripathy, meaning they probably won't live long. that they decide to spend these last years together, knowing their fate, gives a really sad dimension, but also comfort

4. How many other characters would see the chimestry of the couple before themselves do.

ooh boy I'm sure that if Silence saw them being close she'd tear up proudly and absolutely support this. Saria would not really notice anything, but Silence got this and would probably tell her that she thinks their precious daughter might have got a crush. on Eyjafjalla's side, she doesn't seem very close to anyone in particular at Rhodes Island, but maybe Earthspirit would notice something!

Finally cleaned this up so here’s my DnDads ultimate ship opinions list. I was waiting until after s2 ended to clean this up in case I had any final opinion changes with the last few episodes. Please don’t bash me for any of these. The DnDads fandom is generally very nice but shipping discourse is something that can get heated no matter the fandom.

Dads

Henry Darryl: very neutral. I understand the ship I just never fully got on the boat

Henry Glenn: absolutely fucking feral about them do not get me started on Glennry

Darryl Glenn: feral in a different way that I don’t know how to describe other than toxic yaoi in the way that they’re damaged but refuse to talk about it so they kiss about it instead

Loveeeeeeee polydads but only as Henry/Glenn/Darryl. Not really a Ron shipper I love him and Samantha too much. Ron and Glenn’s friendship is very important to me though

In terms of Jodie, I don’t really ship him with any of the main dads, ESPECIALLY not Glenn. Even if Jimmy didn’t play Jodie I’d still never ship them. Wish Scamster was real and not completely a scam because they’re literally a crackship become real except it was never a crackship before canon. It’s surprising to me that they weren’t really shipped beforehand

Henry Mercedes: THE T4T OF ALL TIME BABEYYYYY. Absolutely iconic couple, fate was in their favor with how they met they were destined for each other

Darryl Carol: After hearing how Darryl talked about his family in Heaven, I was actually really happy they ended up not getting divorced. They clearly had a rough patch as seen in s1, but they genuinely love each other and I love how devoted to her Darryl is. The little finger puppet he made of her in the time out zone… :,)

Glenn Morgan: GLORGAN!!!!!!!!! Oh my god these two tear me apart. I am feral for Glorgan angst there’s too much to work with. More people need to start calling them Glorgan instead of Morglenn please please please please pretty please indulge me in my silly ship name

Ron Samantha: sobbing. They’re so sweet. The distinction that Samantha is also a little silly is very important to me. They love each other so fucking much

Nicky Sparrow: didn’t realize how much I love them for a good while but when I did oh god I love them so so much. T4T it’s so real to me that they’re both trans

Nicky Lark: used to like it but yall mischaracterize Nicky so much in fics. If yall want toxic yaoi just ship Grant and Lark I’m so serious

Nicky Terry: sobs. They were best friends. I don’t personally ship them but the fact that Terry said he was his best friend… that line rattles around in my brain so often

Nicky Grant: recently learned this might get shipped and has THE coolest ship name. Crossfire I love you but for the ship name alone

Sparrow Terry: I think I’ve seen this shipped a few times but only in the context of Terry/Nicky/Sparrow. Not my personal cup of tea though

Sparrow Grant: I don’t see this shipped too often but they have the worst ship name ever /aff. Wtf is a spant lol. Also I’m too much team transfem Sparrow to feel comfortable shipping this

Lark Terry: do not know the appeal of Gun Control but their ship name is fun

Lark Grant: toxic yaoi central. They both need intense therapy but them both being so fucked up is what makes them interesting not that that’s healthy though

Terry Grant: I see them more in a qpr place than anything romantic. I have one fic of them that’s bookmarked on Safari because I think about a part from it from time to time

Don’t have any poly ships for them

In terms of s2 spouses I so desperately wished we could’ve seen more of them. We barely get to see them

Nicky Cassandra: Telling Taylor his dad was a good man and that she misses him every day makes me think they parted on good terms. But then Nicky disappeared because of FBI shit. In another life maybe they could’ve worked.

Sparrow Rebecca: more ugly sobbing. I’m unsure on my sparroace thoughts if they’d end up getting divorced post-finale but I know they’re not fully separating or breaking up. They really are in love but it’s unconventional and messy.

Terry Veronica: I think the reveal that Terry is infertile is a nice touch to their relationship. It sounds weird to say and I feel like I might word this all weirdly. Him being unable to have bio kids but finding love in someone who wants to raise a kid with him anyways. Veronica finding new love again after a supposedly abusive relationship. Both of those combined is something I really love.

Grant Marco: Canon gays ftw. The Titanic episode was so generous in letting us get to see their dynamic. Obviously Grant still has a long way to go in finding self love but I’m so happy he found someone who can support him and loves him back like this.

Teens

Normal Scary: ugly sobbing over them I love them so much. Cradling my madomagi and tma aus with them as madohomu and jmart

Normal Taylor: yearning for the early s2 days like when they went to Sonic and made some devious plan off screen I wish they had more silly interactions together. Was truly fed with the kareoke intro and them bonding over costume making for a minute. Tayloak could be so interesting if there was more material to work with

Normal Link: Childhood BFFs to Lovers; I wish they could’ve hung out more as kids but all that happened

Recently my friends are streaming us playing AA1-5 or Rise from the Ashes (*cough cough* here’s the plug come check us out we stream AA on Saturday evenings usually around 8 PM CST *cough cough*), and we started really expanding onto bits particularly around Jake Marshall, you know him, the police officer who screams Texan cowboy but is actually from West LA. I personally never thought much of Jake when I played RftA for the first time almost 5 years ago now, but MAN we were putting so much extra headcanon/lore stuff on him that he’s grown into an almost immediate favorite despite only seeing him for one session. Some bits include:

- He has a nut allergy

- He’s trans

- He takes his testosterone through his flask

- He has a horse named Pistachio who holds Jake’s epipen and can shoot a gun with her mouth

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY-

MARSHOE

THAT’S RIGHT, WE NOW HAVE A CRACKSHIP AMONGST OUR MIDST- AND I NEED YOU ALL TO HEAR US OUT ON THEM!! Two people in the force who do canonically know about each other and have implied-interactions??? Plus I think they’d be INCREDIBLY silly together, why not?! Please indulge in the sillies with us, this isn’t anything super serious, it is a crackship after all! But as someone who has been a hardcore fan of the series for a little over 5 years now, I think it’s super fun! Honestly kinda boggles my mind in the almost 20 years since RftA I’ve never seen art or fics of these two together either. So I’m contributing dang it!!! HERE’S MARSHOE, ENJOY SOME OTHER SKETCHES!!

Hey I love Warren and Emma together but removing Monet's position and replacing her with a white woman who isn't really involved with X-Corp in your X-Corp idea is kind of a bad decision when you think about race for more than 5 seconds. But then again this happens in real corporations all the time if you're striving for realism.

I completely agree! That's why Monet is not removed at all!! ( I love her way too much to do that)

I had done a reblog while still brainstorming to talk a bit about Monet and Roberto da Costa's involvement and I am of course acutely aware of the optics.

I'll explain all the lore in much more finalised character profiles, but for the moment:

X-corp is based on a four way, equal shares leadership. So basically, a four person board! Which includes Warren, Monet, Emma and Roberto all on a 25% basis.

I think it's much more fun, accurate and interesting that way! (They're all very experienced, so it makes sense they all get major positions)

They all handle different departments of activities though.

So despite being Co-Co-Co-Co CEOs, they specialise in a specific activity:

Monet is in charge of handling the international aspect of the company. So the different branches all over the world. She coordinates all of that business and travels a LOT abroad to make deals, exchange etc... I think this plays on her strengths as a very well traveled, polyglot who's very good at imposing her vision and handling tough situations.

Roberto is where we go more into headcanons. In canon, Roberto has always been fiercely attached to justice. He's always been big on arguing and standing by his positions! ( Standing up to Xavier since age 13!) + I believe that he would be a bit turned off by his father's greed and quickly get bored of numbers so he would rather handle more strategic and problem solving aspects of the company. Naturally, I believe he became a very successful corporate lawyer! So he's head of the legal affairs section of the company.

Warren is still kind of the face of the company, being the most "famous" of these four. In canon, he has a business mind but I'm looking to orient him a bit more towards a creative direction. So if anything he's handling the creative direction/ administration aspect of the company! Basically: "what else can we do or add to make this better?"

Emma with little explanations needed is handling the finances of the company (in tandem with her very very tired head of accounting Bobby drake)

This all sounds serious, but I promise, this is much more of a gag AU that will be 80% meme redraws and like 20% nice illustrations If I can manage ☠️

Like, Warren got intensely obsessed with ecology and has a secret zoo in the basement archives. Emma keeps trying to fraud her way out of expenses and Roberto is STRESSING trying to keep her in line (bobby is also absolutely exasperated by her shenanigans).

Monet is a zoom princess! They go without seeing her three weeks at a time and wonder if she's not taking secret vacations... (She isn't! She's the most hardworking member of the team, she just mixes efforts with pleasure in an efficient way)

The comic cover divide of Warren and Emma and Monet and Roberto is purely based on age basis and potential crackship romantic plots! (I find it very very weird for people to ship Monet and Warren together, and let's be honest, Monet is Roberto's type to a T). And I'd like to add that this quartet all have very fun dynamics together! The potential is endless honestly, this is the "we're better than you and we know it" team. But will they be able to work together? 👀 We'll see!

Obviously, more to come, but as a preview, the extended cast is very interesting! We have Boom Boom, Karma, Kyle Jinadu, Northstar, Iceman, Sage, Windancer, Kwannon, Trinary and Prodigy all doing fun stuff!

Look: Design wise both Stolas and Ragatha are lanky and tall characters (I like to think both are the same height, although Ragatha being taller would be fun) plus the aesthetics of an owl with a rag doll is definitely interesting… also I think they would look oddly adorable together.

Personally: Despite being awkward messes somehow they are the most calm of their respective cast, basically they have to act like everyone’s dad/mom despite being clear they barely know what they are doing and having their own emotional baggage.

Octavia also a plays a role in this ship, I’m pretty sure she would like Ragatha. Either because she’s a giant doll (something little Octavia would love), or because she’s the sort of emotional caring person a teen who’s dealing with their parents aggressive divorce needs. At least I think Ragatha would try to talk with Octavia.

As some pointed out in both Reddit and Twitter Stolas would definitely benefit from having such a caring person as a partner

Gooseworx mentioned in her ask that Ragatha likes horror movies, so maybe she’ll think Stolas being a demon is cool (maybe even sexy? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), not to mention Octavia might like to watch horror movies with her.

As for a ship name, “Stotha” and “Ragalas” sounded weird, best I could come up with was:

“Yarn and feathers”

now codegold and Jenvy and fullcompany or Luzi or Vhad even are all crackships, hell even Jessa is almost in the crackship area because some of the characters involved are either not fully developed or did not have any significant screentime and its up to the fan/consumer/writer to make their own assumptions and character developments.

i vibe with almost... most crackships? lol, because the fact that they are between characters who have very little canonical and/or meaningful interactions, therefore as a writer i get to think and develop my own interactions where... things yknow... "DEVELOP" XD like how some ppl take backgeound characters from mlp and give them and entire lore and backstory XD

like J and Tessa and even Thad who were very one dimensional and barely there. we cant even talk about J cuz liam straight up assasinated her entire poor fucking character. she has no rhyme or reason or purpose for doing any of the things she did thats why its not easy to like her for the sake of liking her.

meanwhile everyone likes villains like azula, idk catra, bill cypher, invader zim- not necessarily cuz they "have backstories" but because they made SENSE in their respective settings and what people KNEW of them. J.... J makes no sense 😭 Liam essentially didnt give us anything on her for us to connect any dots about her- especially not after somewhat hyping the character up to be AS important as the other cast but then she was just... literally tossed in the scrap dump of the planet. also Thad and a bit of Lizzy and Doll- ive been trying to develop them for a few weeks now for my MD re-writing plans and it has been HARDDD they make no sense in a setting where everything is just for gags and jokes.

but i digress- what i mean to say is- i like crackships cuz i get to MAKE the characters as i enjoy them >:"3 i love writing and doing character studies!

this all being said... i dont blame people for disliking a ship. for some reason shipping characters from shows fucking takes away years of your life- esp when you see one you dislike and your brain cant even bring a goddamn reason for why you hate the ship in the first place- so i genuinely advise people who dislike a ship to just avoid it- breathe XD maybe block the tags- dont interact so the algorythm doesnt try to bother you- tell your friends to not talk about it with you maybe- and overall internet hygiene- you dont need to try and convince yourself to like it unless you want to- but dont bother others about it.

While not exactly that dynamic (Macaque with Wukong and Erlang with Azure) it’s def something most people don’t see coming. Even less then Jing and Azure! At least with Jing and Azure it made sense in hindsight, there were hints, but Macaque and Erlang?!

I know a lot of people vote shadow peach, and I can see why. And in many other aus they would defo be together. However in Lionsword au, Wukong and Macaque would be more like besties with benefits. Too young to understand it really, being monkies and all.

At least until the brotherhood era, at which point Macaque sees erlang and goes “Oh he’d be fun.” Macaque flirted with Erlang endlessly. Unfortunately Erlang was 1; distracted by azure at the time and 2; was increasingly dense. Like, even Jing could see it!

And it just so happens to be Jing who reveals that little tidbit of info as revenge against a certain 6 eared snitch.

Hell yeah! i cannot express how i personally am so happy it got this far, while the idea itself wasn't mine, i did change it with the help of the other admins. what is better but a platonic polycule between 10 gods from 10 different servers? Joelbeans apparently. So some presentations are probably needed, and the pantheon is always open to new deifications! In first, standing at her 10 feet tall, it's lizzie, the godess of the ocean herself; At her right lay in all her ratjesty folly, spreading life across worlds in the form of her folly trees; Next up is saint pearl, santa perla, godess of moon and the light it brings; Of course, even the darkest places can see light, and that's something kristin, the godess of death, can tell you a lot about; After this line-up, you could be led to think all gods are mature and wise, and here come joel, ruler of stratos and god of thunder, it is said that when his cheeks clap, lighting strikes... Well, to a slightly serious note, even if the wisdom is still far, here is lifestealowner, the fading, discreet god of warriors and fighters, who leads armies in battle, no matter the side. We talked about the saint pearl, godess of the moon, so what about bdubs, god of the sun and the day, bringing his light to the world every time he sleeps. After the more *benevolent* gods, time to get to the more controversial ones, Jschlatt, god of hubris, making sure every icarus will see their downfall, so if the deal ever seems to good to be true, it probably is, never sign a contract with a god, never take Jschlatt's apple. Next is Grian, the watcher, God of fate, more of a silent observer than anything, watching the strings of life twists and pull. And finaly, on the more active side, and less mature one too, is evbo, the god of parkour and all things challenging, because what is life without a little competition?

Well well well, that sure is a nice selection we got here, but does it hold up to previous winners?

Exactly what it says in the title! I’ve seen a couple other people talk about their favorite rarepairs for r1999, so I thought I’d do it for mine!!

(Technically some of these are just characters I think would interact well, not all of them have to be romantic) (and also not all of them are super duper rare)

An-An Lee x Poltergeist

- I just really like the ghost enthusiast x ghost dynamic in general, this counts for horropedia and An-An Lee with any of the ghost characters tbf

- But An-An Lee and Poltergeist specifically would be cool because of their personalities!!

- Poltergeist is obviously more shy, while An-An Lee seems a bit more outspoken, and I can really see An-An Lee helping Poltergeist help gain confidence!

- Either way, very cute dynamic and I like it a lot!

Tennant x Sweetheart

- Originally, Sweetheart was my main theory for who the other character in Tennants I2 Portrait, along with maybe Mesmer Jr.

- While I definitely don’t think it is anymore, I still like the concept of them having a relationship!

- Tennant would definitely be in it to scam Sweetheart, but I think Sweetheart would at least know some of it due to her being familiar with Hollywood secrets and the drama that goes down there

- If they did become “partners in crime” I think they would legitimately be the best power-couple ever. I just don’t know if there would ever be a scenario where they both show their cards, so I don’t know if they’d ever reach that point sadly.

- Their rich girlboss energy knows no bounds, and together they will be unstoppable

Sweetheart x Bette

- Actor x Stunt double, just another fun concept!! (I saw a similar idea with Blonney and Bette as well, which would also be cool!)

- Sweetheart is sassy and assertive but befriends her innocent stunt double and takes her to Hollywood parties

- Bette is so confused but Sweetheart is her idol so it’s not like she’s going to say no

- It would basically be like the sassy popular girl falls in love with nerd/shy girl trope, Hollywood edition

- I think they would be very cute though!

ONiON x TTT

- The only news station TTT isn’t sick of

- She was actually covered by one of ONiON’s stories, and she’s been a big fan ever since!

- When ONiON meets her, they hit it off immediately!

- Technically this one I like more as a friendship, but I still want to talk about it

- Regulus hung out with X for longer than she did Vertin, there’s no way they aren’t at least somewhat friends

- They’re both sneakily coming up with ideas of pranking people with machines (They were both definitely giggling at the idea of pouring tea on Forget-me-not)

I agree with all of your points! The longing and pining these two share is what drives the passion! It's that potential that exists between them that I am always intrigued by them. Both Lucien and Elain have gone through so much, to see them both have a HEA that they deserve would be wonderful! Thank you for sharing that with me! My favorite pairing? Ohh, I think all time favorite is Elucien. They're so different from all the other mated pairs we've seen, they have so much potential and their avoidance only makes me ship them harder! I also like Hunt and Bryce, I think I just liked their dynamic as well. I'm really growing towards Satharion as well! Tharion is one of my favorite CC characters! I think if I had to go crackship, if Lucien wasn't a character in ACOTAR, or if Elain wasn't already his mate, I'd probably be hard shipping Elain and Eris! I absolutely adored Hunt and Bryce in CC1 and CC2. CC3 just wasn't it for me, I didn't even finish this book, ik, shame on me. I'll come back to this book later.

Ooooh Eris, mhhh. I have so much things I could discuss about this man... He's just the perfect morally grey character, and I'm her for it. Elain indeed could bring out his softer side! Although, I will always wonder how did Nesta not fall into that male's bed- ARMS!! I meant arms, of course, ahem. I mean, I would've been swooned away by his words in that dance scene in ACOSAF. I think everyone in the Vanserra family (some of them in their own twisted way) have some kind of biteable energy that I crave.

Now, now, an Elucien HC... Again, I would go with something simple and talk about Lucien's jacket. Yes, I'm obsessed with this detail and I want to know what the hell Elain canonically did with it. But in my HC, she kept it; it just comforts her on her healing journey. Also, I think Elain and Lucien would not immediatly accept the mating bond. They would go through a real slow dating and discovering eachother journey at first. They would travel the world, talk, touch eachother (I think Elain would constantly be at Lucien's arm, and the self-control that male has to maintain... eeeek!) and I think they would cook A LOT together. Cooking would remain their number one activity to do with each other as a mated couple. Just imagine their house always having a little bit of flour or oats here and there, always smelling like freshly baked bread... Mhhh, yum.

Ok, overall I really like him as a character. He’s got a good design, a nice color pallet, perfect backstory to play around with in fan content, and a personality that creates fun dynamics with everyone else on the team! Originally I didn’t care much for him (not that I didn’t like him, he just didn’t stand out to me) but during my more recent rewatches I’ve started to notice smaller things that make his character more interesting (to me at least lol)

I only really ship him with Bucciarati. They’re kind of like if an elderly divorced couple was combined with a newly wed couple, if that makes sense? Yknow, like those “I hate my wife” boomer comics mixed with the honeymoon phase shit. I do also ship Jotaro and Abba as a crackship because of a random thought I had. There’s not much to say about it other than I think it’d be funny and they would be terrible for each other.

For platonic otp, I don’t have anything, but I will say that I like the potential that he and Fugo have as a duo. They kinda give off a shitty siblings separated by an age gap vibe to me. Like, sad college drunk older brother and his younger sibling who’s still in the perfectionist prodigy child phase. If that makes any sense.

Unpopular opinion, he would be a terrible father figure. I would love to elaborate on this but I can’t think of how to right now, so if you wanna hear why I can try to give an answer later :]

and as for something I wish happened in canon, I wish that we got to see him form more of a bond with Giorno. I like their fanon interactions, so just having them interact more in canon would make me happy, but I also feel like it could’ve made his death a little more impactful. Throughout golden wind, he does loosen up around Giorno a little, but nothing actually changes. If he had started to open up more, or even acknowledged Giorno as trustworthy it could’ve set up the scene a little better. Idk. again, I can’t really find the words for it, but would love to try to elaborate.
