STOP DEMONIZING AN ENTIRE GROUP OF PEOPLE (thats a TON of ppl btw) WHO HAVE NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN IN DEVELOPING A DISORDER CAUSED BY ABUSE AND TRAUMA IN AND OF ITSELF!

YOU ARE ONLY DOWNPLAYING AND DISBELIEVING EMOTIONAL ABUSE WHEN ITS JUST AS TRAUMATIZING AS ANYTHING ELSE!

if you use 'narcissistic abuse' as a legitimate category then you also have to acknowledge 'autistic abuse'! you cant use one but then discard everything else because suddenly "that doesnt exist"!

you want to be the good guys? then maybe stop demonizing people who also just have a disorder. im not excusing harmful behaviour or trauma, we all make mistakes, even egotypicals. what i want is for you to stop grouping in every bad experience or interaction with us!

try to understand and help, not demonize. mocking, triggering and putting down narcissists for their symptoms or disorder will never move anyone to get help!

i dislike them and anyone else using those terms.

people who use those terms dont understand what it does to pwNPD. most of them say they are "empaths" but really show no empathy or compassion if they do actually meet someone with npd who is willing to be open to them about it. it further demonizes people whose pd traits are already grossly stigmatized, and the abuse is in no way different to emotional abuse or other types of abuse, so using "narcissistic abuse" is a purely stylized choice that only further stigmatizes pwNPD.

so i steer clear of people who use those terms, because they either already have a bad opinion of me when they find out i have npd or they dont understand why those terms are harmful and would make no effort to think about the terms.

also, i do consider narcissism and npd the same thing, but i guess it depends on who you ask. npd has narcissism in the name and for a trait you could also say egotistical or something similar, and in my opinion there's enough other words to exchange 'narcissism' with to mean selfish people without NPD. the thing with both is that narc abuse believers often say that they are different to excuse/veil the way they are going after pwNPD. so they say "narc abuse" but really mean all pwNPD, though i guess there's differences from person to person too...

question for those with npd

so i actually have bpd and im a psych major and im wanting to learn about other pds and basically my question is for those with npd:

how do you feel about people using the term “narcissistic abuse” or “spreading awareness of narcissistic people?” to my understanding, npd and narcissism are 2 different things (one being a pd the other being a trait)

The way we saw how happy the cast was in the few personal.posts we got, I personally think it's safe to say the cast doesn't feel they lost out. Some of them have been in plays none of us even know about or would have bothered to book a flight all the way to London to watch.

Truth is, you had an expectation, it wasn't met and now there's pulling of all sort of things and reasons as to why, unsteady of maybe they just preferred it that way.

With Challengers there's a whole "there weren't any fun interviews. She should have done hot ones, chicken shop another puppy interview." So again another they had expectations and now they're going to go on and on and on about it, trying to find the why's, as apparently there's only one formula as to how promo should be done.

Back to R&J I think all the racists are the reason there was minimal press but I actually loved that Fran got a interview spread. Maybe everyone else also wasn't interested in being on magazine covers, people have a say in these things guys they dot just get bulldozed into doing it. I agree w/you too on the whole Fran and the racists thing. I'm kind of thinking that it might have played a role on why this play wasn't promoted as much as it could have been. 😔 It's a shame if that is the case. I hope maybe one day we will get to see some more bts footage, because I can only imagine how interesting it was to produce this play! 😊
