Story time with Georgia
Story time with Georgia. Car Insurance. Woman catches car insurance company trying to add person to policy.
Car Insurance I think that most companies want you to go paperless to avoid knowing what their really up to. Over charging and etc. I remember experiencing the same thing. It was my Fiancé, I and my daughter only living together. All of a sudden, he started receiving a higher insurance bill from Geico and he didn’t know why. So, I called them asking questions and they had added his two daughters…

Umbrella Insurance Policy
In addition to providing additional liability coverage, a commercial umbrella insurance policy can also cover losses that are not covered by your primary policies if your primary policy does not cover a specific type of liability, such as defamation or invasion of privacy, a commercial umbrella insurance policy can provide coverage for these types of claims. When choosing a umbrella insurance policy, it's important to consider the coverage limits, exclusions, and deductibles you want to make sure that you have enough coverage to protect your business from financial loss while also ensuring that the coverage is affordable so it's important to note that a commercial umbrella policy does not replace your primary policies but rather works in conjunction with them.

Life is hard for neurodivergent people in Peru. Now a grassroots uprising of people with bipolar disorder, ADHD and autism – organised through picnics in the park – is pushing for change at the heart of government.
On a bright summer afternoon in Lima, the capital of Peru, Carolina Díaz Pimentel takes some red and green tape out of her backpack. She’s in a park waiting for people to arrive at a picnic she and her friends are hosting. Guests know that they don’t have to be on time, don’t have to make eye contact, and can leave at any time if they feel overwhelmed. No one will question them.
“We want everyone to feel comfortable. At least this afternoon we want to take a break from the rules that are imposed on neurodivergent people every day to fit in,” says Díaz Pimentel, a journalist and a co-founder of the Peruvian Neurodivergent Coalition (CNP), who is herself autistic and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Hence the coloured tapes. Each attendee will choose one to express their “social battery”. If they choose the green tape, it’s because they want to participate in the activities. Red signals they prefer not to be approached. Everyone wants company, that’s why they are here, but in different ways. And that’s OK. People start to arrive. Several choose red.
CNP is a social initiative that first kicked off in March 2023. It is the alliance of five neurodivergent women who were already making waves by posting openly about their conditions on social media, but who longed to make real-world change. “I used to see this kind of gathering in countries like Mexico and Argentina and was sad to be so far away, until I saw the announcement of a picnic in Peru. Before joining the coalition, I didn’t really relate to anyone. I had good friends, people that care about me, but I knew I wasn’t like them,” says Mayra Orellano, another of the directors, an interior designer with borderline personality disorder (BPD).
Today [in March 2024] is the coalition’s fifth gathering. A picnic may not sound like fertile ground for a burgeoning social movement, but behind the bags of cookies and crisps, that is what CNP is doing – campaigning for the rights of neurodivergent Peruvians to be understood and accepted, and to live free from stigma and abuse.
The birth of the neurodiversity movement
The concept of neurodiversity has been around for almost 30 years after first being coined in 1997 in an undergraduate thesis by Judy Singer. Singer, an Australian who is now an eminent sociologist, argued that conditions such as autism, dyslexia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are all simply part of the myriad ways in which human brains are wired. It proposed a new way to think about human difference and provided a name for a burgeoning movement. In Peru, however, it remains a concept that few have heard of.
“Neurodiversity is not a medical diagnosis, it’s a political movement that brings us together to defend our rights,” says Díaz Pimentel. When she first started posting about her bipolar disorder on social media in 2017, it was taboo: very few talked about their diagnosis in public. Bipolar disorder remains a stigmatised condition in Peru...
Diaz Pimentel’s commitment is stronger than prejudice, she says. Two years ago, when she received her autism diagnosis, she posted a photo of herself holding a rainbow cake with the words ‘Congrats on the autism’ spelled out in white icing. She wanted to celebrate with her community because she considered it a rebirth: at the age of 29, some of the puzzles of her childhood finally made sense...
From picnics to influencing policy
Neurodivergence is a huge umbrella that describes people with very different conditions. In Peru, this causes confusion and a lack of accurate data. Even in the case of autism, the best recognised of the neurodivergent conditions, the National Registry of Citizens with Disabilities lists some 15,000 people on the spectrum. But according to international statistics on the worldwide prevalence of autism, there are likely more than 200,000 people with the condition in the country.
María Coronel, the psychologist in charge of the ministry of health’s child and adolescent mental health department, says that clarifying this data is one of the institution’s priorities. She acknowledges that initiatives such as CNP’s can help educate people: “These organisations add to our efforts to detect people on the autistic spectrum and give them the help they need. They have a great ability to reach others because they are telling their own experiences.”
Although CNP has only existed for a year, the group is already influencing government policy. Two congressmen have asked for members’ feedback on bills to protect the rights of autistic people. The state agency in charge of integrating people with disabilities into society consulted them on the appropriate terms with which to refer to neurodevelopmental conditions. And the ombudsman’s office made a video with them to warn about gender bias in autism early detection. (In Peru, 81% of people receiving treatment are male.) ...
Creating a more sensitive society
The CNP community says its work has changed their own lives, but Díaz Pimentel recognises that it isn’t enough. Some experts agree – that the problems are as much structural as they are societal. “In Peru we have a gap in specialised human resources. We need more psychiatrists and neuro-paediatricians. We need more young people to choose these careers,” says Coronel...
[Natalie] Espinoza is also a CNP founder and the only founder who is a mother. She has a five-year-old autistic daughter. Finding a pre-school that would accept her was very difficult. Espinoza is familiar with that kind of rejection. At a former job, she was fired when they found out she has bipolar. She had always performed well, she says, but she was told that a person “on that kind of medication” could not work with them.
“When I found out that my daughter was autistic, there was no mourning or denial, just a desire to hug her tightly because I felt very afraid of what society might do to her. I would like her to grow up in a more sensitive place,” says Espinoza. Dedicating time to the coalition’s work is her way of contributing to that change. Currently its communications reach more than 12,000 people and it has 15 WhatsApp groups. Messages whizzing back and forth help their community in everything from getting diagnoses to finding places to sleep in the event of being evicted from their homes.
So what does the coalition want next? “We want it all,” says Lú Herrera, a lawyer with BPD and the fifth co-founder. They would love to create, for example, a “neurodivergent house”, a place where they can offer shelter to victims of violence, run educational workshops, organise neurodiverse entrepreneurship fairs and provide legal advice on inclusion rights. “Everything we already do but in a place of our own.
“You know what else we want to do in that house?” asks Herrera as if reminding herself. “We want to have mindfulness sessions, dance lessons, pottery classes. Activities that will ground us. We neurodivergents struggle so much every day that it would be nice to have a place to rest.”
For now, the picnics are opportunities to recharge, ready for the next conversation-shifting step.

Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone is trying to say that these lines are official in Sonic Frontiers, know that it is misinformation and that they are lying because these lines were cut and are not in the game officially.
In bullet points:
These lines are cut-lines and they never made it to the final version for any platform
Ian, the writer for Sonic Frontiers, didn't even write these lines to be in the game
Since the lines are in the database of the game (but does not occur in the final version of the game), the lines can be modded into the game to make it seem official or that it's in the final version of the game
"Proofs" showing these lines to be in the game have faults within them, such as not occurring on the correct island or weather condition
There are several factors to consider when acknowledging these lines existence. One of the main factors is that these are cut-lines that never made it to the official and final version of Sonic Frontiers. This goes for both the English and Japanese version of the game. These lines can only be found through datamining the game, which means to look through files deep within the game that don't make it to the surface. So, these lines will never be activated because there is nothing to activate it, therefore it is not official lines.
Another thing to know about is that Ian, the one who wrote the story and dialogue lines for Sonic Frontiers, was not even aware of these lines existing in the game because he never wrote them or had anything similar be made for these lines to exist. Therefore, it wasn't even planned to have these lines in the game whatsoever. Someone else, other than Ian, snuck the lines in and had it go against what the original story was in the first place; they tried to have their own story or vision be put in the game aside from what Ian wrote or how it was originally conceived. This makes the lines even more unofficial and not real. Many already acknowledge that these lines are not official and are cut lines.
youtube
One more thing to consider is that even if people show "proof" of it existing in the games, these lines and even text can be easily modded into the game for it to seem like it exists in the final game. But just because it is modified in, doesn't mean that it was there originally.
As it can be seen through this individual who is able to make unused conversations be put into the game in some manner through modification, it is also possible to put unused conversations lines in the game in some manner. These lines towards Amy aren't the only lines that are unused in the game. There are many lines that aren't used and that are still in the database of the game, but that doesn't mean that any of them made it to the final game for people to see through normal means.
Another thing to take note about is that these lines towards Amy (the "Umbrella" and "Making up his mind" lines), are lines that occur on Rhea or Ouranos Island, but the first pictures shown in this thread show that the lines were randomly said on Kronos Island, the first island you go to in the game. That shows that this person modified the lines to be said in the game and that they are not triggered under normal means. Another way to figure out that these lines are modified is that the "Umbrella" line is supposed to only be triggered while it's raining, but the line is said randomly while it is only cloudy in the person's "proof" of it existing in the game.
On a side note, datamining and modifying games tend to be illegal depending on what company the game comes from. For example, Nintendo has policies that say that if you are to play their games, you cannot modify their systems or games that are played on that console. So this practice of modifying and datamining is not encouraged by the majority of game companies and isn't welcomed, therefore it should become a common practice to not to try to do these illegal activity towards any game.

Jasmine Sherman's Policy on protection for Transgender Individuals:
I am just going to start posting Jasmine Sherman's policies cause I know a good portion of the people engaging with my posts aren't seeing the bigger picture. Please be aware that Jasmine uses they/them pronouns. no cut because this is revolutionary for the political climate in the US.
Introduction:
The United States government, under the Sherman administration, is committed to ensuring equal rights, protections, and opportunities for all individuals; including transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals. This federal policy seeks to promote equity, eliminate discrimination, and protect the rights of transgender people in various aspects of public life, including education, employment, healthcare, and public accommodations.
Section 1: Definitions
1.1 LGBTQIA2S+: Stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two-Spirit, and more. This acronym is used to describe the community of people whose sexual orientations or gender identities differ from the majority of the population.
1.2 Transgender Individual: A person whose gender identity differs from the sex assigned to them at birth. This term is inclusive of individuals who identify as transgender men, transgender women, and non-binary or as a genderqueer individual.
1.3 Gender Identity: A person’s innate sense of their own gender, which may be different from their sex assigned at birth. It encompasses a range of identities, expressions, and roles that may or may not align with an individual’s physical appearance or sex assigned at birth.
1.4 Sex: A set of biological attributes in humans and animals associated with physical and physiological features including chromosomes, hormone levels, and reproductive/sexual anatomy, typically categorized as male, female, or intersex.
1.5 Gender: Both a social and cultural construct related to behaviors, roles, expectations, and activities in society, and the behavioral, cultural, and/or psychological ideas associated with a particular gender identity. Gender can be fluid and varies across different societies and cultures.
1.6 Transgender: A shorthand medical term used to describe individuals whose gender identity or expression differs from what is traditionally associated with the sex assigned to them at birth. It serves as an umbrella term for various gender identities.
Trans: means on the opposite side of, or across
1.7 Cisgender: Refers to individuals whose gender identity matches the sex assigned to them at birth. The term highlights the congruence between an individual’s self-perception of their gender and their birth-assigned sex.
Cis: Latin term meaning on the same side of
1.8 Gender Binary: The classification of gender into two distinct, opposite forms of masculine and feminine, often based on one’s anatomy at birth.
1.9 Nonbinary: Describes a person whose gender identity does not fit within the traditional gender binary of male and female. Nonbinary individuals may identify as having no gender, both genders, or a different gender.
1.10 Agender: An adjective used to describe individuals who do not identify with any gender, or see their gender as irrelevant to their identity and experiences.
1.11 Bigender: Describes a person whose identity encompasses two genders, either simultaneously or varying between them over time.
1.12 Queer: An umbrella term used to describe individuals whose sexual orientation or gender identity does not conform to societal norms. While once pejorative, “queer” has been reclaimed by many in the LGBTQIA2S+ community as a term of empowerment.
1.13 Gender Expression: The external manifestation of an individual’s gender identity, through clothing, hairstyles, behavior, voice, and body characteristics. Gender expression can vary widely and may not necessarily correspond to societal expectations based on the individual’s sex assigned at birth.
1.14 Gender Affirmation: The process by which individuals recognize, accept, and express their gender identity, potentially through social, legal, and medical changes. This can include lifestyle changes, hormone therapy, surgery, and altering legal documents to reflect one’s gender identity.
1.15 Deadnaming: Referring to a transgender or non-binary person by a name they used before they transitioned. It is considered disrespectful and can be harmful, emphasizing the importance of using the name and pronouns that someone has chosen for themselves.
1.16 Two-Spirit: Refers to a person who identifies as having both a masculine and a feminine spirit, and is used by some Indigenous people to describe their sexual, gender and/or spiritual identity.
Section 2: Non-Discrimination
2.1 Equal Treatment: It is the policy of all organizations, corporations, schools, agencies, contractors, and programs receiving or not receiving federal funds to ensure the equal treatment of transgender individuals. This policy mandates that transgender individuals shall not be discriminated against on the basis of their gender identity or expression. Compliance with this policy is mandatory for all entities that engage with the public. This includes, but is not limited to, the provision of services, employment practices, and interactions within these entities. The objective is to foster an inclusive environment that respects and acknowledges the gender identity and expression of all individuals.
2.2 Employment: All employers shall enact and enforce policies that prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity in employment and in the hiring practices of contractors. Employees are no longer granted religious exemptions to be bigots. If an employee wishes to use their religious beliefs as a way to harm or discriminate against a transgender individual, they will face disciplinary action, up to termination.
2.3 Education: Educational institutions and federally-funded educational programs shall ensure that transgender students have access to safe and supportive educational environments, including the use of facilities and participation in sports teams consistent with their gender identity.
2.4 Healthcare: Transgender individuals shall have access to healthcare services that are free from discrimination, including access to gender-affirming care, without barriers based on gender identity. Also, anyone who’s unsure of their gender or is questioning their identity can join support groups or get therapy from a professional, as part of our healthcare policy.
Section 3: Privacy and Identity Documents
3.1 Identification Documents: All organizations, corporations, schools, and agencies shall provide a streamlined and accessible process for transgender individuals to change the gender marker on their identification documents. This includes passports, identification cards, and driver’s licenses, consistent with their gender identity.
3.2 Privacy: All organizations, corporations, schools, and agencies shall respect the privacy and confidentiality of transgender individuals, of all ages, and shall not disclose information about an individual’s transgender status without their explicit consent.
Section 4: Hate Crimes and Violence
4.1 Hate Crimes: In connection with our Abolish the Police policy; all crimes committed against transgender individuals will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted to prevent and address bias-motivated violence. If a transgender individual is subjected to this, a provision will be made to provide legal recourse and financial resources to the individual until they have received resolution. We recognize the cost and time associated and feel the trans community deserves restorative justice for the trauma they have experienced.
4.2 Anti-Bullying: Federal educational institutions and programs shall develop and implement anti-bullying policies that specifically address bullying and harassment based on gender identity.
Section 5: Public Accommodations
5.1 Access to Facilities: Public accommodations, such as restrooms and locker rooms, are required to grant access to facilities in alignment with an individual’s gender identity. This provision mandates that public schools permit transgender students to use bathrooms and participate in sports teams that correspond with their gender identity.
Section 6: Training and Education
6.1 Training: Federal agencies shall provide training and education to their employees and contractors to ensure understanding and compliance with this policy.
Section 7: Enforcement
7.1 Enforcement Mechanisms: Federal agencies shall have mechanisms in place to enforce compliance with this policy, including investigation and sanctions for violations.
7.2 Reporting: Transgender individuals who believe they have experienced discrimination may report such incidents to the appropriate federal agency for investigation and resolution.
Section 8: Review and Updates
8.1 Periodic Review: This policy shall be periodically reviewed and updated to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
This federal policy on transgender rights and protections shall be implemented across all federal agencies, departments, and programs, and shall serve as a framework to promote equality, equity, inclusivity, and the protection of the rights of transgender individuals across the United States. The definitions mentioned in this policy are intended to foster understanding and respect for the diverse experiences and identities within the LGBTQIA2S+ community, emphasizing the complexity and fluidity of gender and sexuality. At the end of the day no one community is a monolith; if you have questions be respectful and ask them. These policies will be updated as needed, as new information or feedback is received.

Okay so I'm still in the early stages of my book series that I'm planning. I'm considering pairing up my two main characters. One is a girl and the other is under the trans umbrella. Is there anything I should do or be wary of if I consider pairing these two characters together?
Writing a Trans Character in a Relationship
I would suggest doing as much research as possible, even if you are trans yourself or in a relationship with a trans person, it can't hurt to get a wider perspective since every person, relationship, and experience is so different. I'll link in a few LGBTQ+ writing blogs that may have posts or resources that will help. And, I would suggest hiring a qualified sensitivity reader or two to vet your manuscripts and make sure your portrayal is authentic and not harmful.
Script LGBT LGBT+ Characters & How to Write Them Rainbow Writing Writing LGBTQ+ Characters How to Write LGBTQ+ Characters Your Book Could Be Gayer Writing LGBT Characters (tumblr tag)
I don't know if any/most of these blogs are still active, but you can still scroll through previous posts, answered asks, and posted resources for information.
Here's also a general post by @queercatboy and a Google search can help you find more posts like this.
Happy researching and writing!

What are your opinions on people kinning your characters?
My policy from day one (and pre-YV tbh) has been......well, it's not really my fuckin' business. Don't get me wrong, it's not exactly something that's Totally Not Peculiar, because yeah, if you create a character and then someone kins them.....that's a wild thought.
But it's just that. It means I've created something that resonated very strongly for someone in a way that I might not be able to fully comprehend or relate to, I am not bothered or judgmental about it.
It falls under my general "how I interact with fandom and my work" umbrella of people being able to engage with art however they want. So long as you don't make it my problem (ie, a kin canonically does something the person doesn't like and they come fight me over it) then it really doesn't matter to me.
I'm a biggggg not my business guy 9.9 times out of 10.

Can I get more info about what's going on in nz? I watch global news regularly and nothing about this has come up and I find this highly disturbing.
we elected a neoliberal nightmare of a government who are destroying our health system, water system, ferry and rail system, environment and democracy for profit. people are literally dying in hospitals because there is no doctor in hospitals in multiple rural towns and they just have a consultation on an ipad. the government are trying to frame Health NZ as having a budget deficit of 1.5 billion when in reality that deficit exists because they provided like 3 billion dollars with of tax cuts they couldn’t afford. National cuts spending to health every time they get in government and the disjointed DHB system has been unable to keep up financially with the growing population and health needs.
i personally have just been FUCKED by national as for the last two years i have been navigating our labyrinth of a health system, not working due to being intensely suicidal, trying to find therapy to get better and there just isn’t any available. so i payed for a private autism diagnosis to try and access funding for therapy through the ministry of disability and also get under their umbrella because they actually treat you like a person there and also don’t actively seem to want you dead like they do in the mental health system. but the process took so long that by the time i got my diagnosis and through the referral system, national had yoinked the funding and deemed that therapy will no longer be covered by the disability funding system. all therapies. for disabled people.
oh also they’re like trying to start a race war or something as both minor parties in the 3-way coalition government are trying to negate the Treaty of Waitangi in law, and they’re also attacking the judiciary and had to be told to stop by our attorney general, who they ignored obviously.
our prime minister answers every question with “i say to you” followed by just a literal lie, they’re all just lying through their teeth, i literally have an OIA request about when David Seymour, our deputy-PM-in-waiting (don’t ask) said that preschool education needed to be reviewed because they were being prevented from teaching phonics. they’re not. someone just expressed concern that that might be happening to him, and apparently he is basing government policy on that?? or at least using it to falsely justify it to the nation.
their ideas are all bad and disproven by evidence-based studies, despite their slogan being “we’re going to make evidence-based decisions”. New Zealand has hit a funding wall where we’ve kicked the can too far down the road on like everything and it’s all starting to collapse at once and this government are not only letting it happen, they’re actively helping it along because they’ve all got shares in private rival companies or mates they want to give contracts to (our former national PM got paid insane money to write an insanely biased report attacking our ministry of social housing) or they’ve had their careers helped along by lobbying firms or they want to work for lobbying firms after they leave parliament.
the speaker of the house (who is right now being accused of not dealing with racism within his own party because of course he isn’t, he’s gerry fucking brownlee, the most hated man in christchurch) has allowed lobbyists unprecedented unrecorded entry to parliament. the minister for conservation keeps “forgetting” to write his lobby dinners in his diary. one of them told an mp “he’s not in mexico anymore”. no one is getting in trouble for this shit while the left are being raked over the coals. there’s like so much more. no one can keep up. and nothings being done about it.
tldr; help

The University temporarily suspended Brown’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine pending an external investigation into conduct violations at a pro-divestment protest held earlier this month.
University policy stipulates that suspended groups lose “all rights and privileges associated with being a recognized student group” on campus, which includes hosting events and group meetings, recruiting members and reserving spaces on campus for group activities.
“Given the severity of alleged threatening, intimidating and harassing actions during an event on campus, Brown University has initiated a review of the event and required the Brown chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine to cease all organization activities pending full review of the matter,” University Spokesperson Brian Clark told The Herald.
“The implementation of the interim measures is based on the severity of the alleged behavior and does not prejudge whether the organization violated policy,” he wrote.
On Oct. 18, pro-divestment student activists gathered on the Main Green before marching down to the Warren Alpert Medical School to protest the Brown Corporation’s recent decision not to divest from 10 companies with ties to the Israeli military.
Two days after the protest, Executive Vice President for Planning and Policy Russell Carey sent a community-wide email in which he described the demonstrators’ behavior as “entirely unacceptable” and warned of disciplinary consequences.
Carey cited reports that protestors were “banging on a vehicle,” “screaming profanities at individuals” and at one point using a “racial epithet directed toward a person of color.” He noted that some of these actions may have violated the University’s Code of Student Conduct, and would be “reviewed through University disciplinary processes.”
The University is investigating both student groups and individual protestors, which are subject to different disciplinary procedures. For investigations of student group conduct, administrators in the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards can conduct interviews themselves or appoint an internal or external investigator “if deemed appropriate by the Dean of Students.”
SJP organizers were informed on Thursday that the group was temporarily suspended and that the University had initiated an external investigation.
The Brown Divest Coalition — an umbrella organization of pro-divestment activist groups that includes Students for Justice in Palestine — wrote in a statement to The Herald that “this suspension and other allegations made against SJP by the administration are a retaliatory, politically-motivated ploy to defame protestors, fracture the student movement and detract from their complicity in the extermination of the Palestinian people.”
“No amount of external investigations, increased police presence, conduct hearings or intimidating emails from Russell Carrey will quell our commitment to divestment and to the liberation of Palestine,” the statement reads.

Why do you care about American politics if you're Canadian? /gen
Note: I know this question was not asked in malice, so don’t take this as me being upset at the person who asked this.
I care about American politics because
1. My girlfriend is American, and they’re a queer person who falls under the trans umbrella in a time where it’s sometimes dangerous to be visibly queer in America. I care deeply for her safety, I care about her ability to pay for school, I care about her health while she lives in a country that basically EXTORTS people who are ill or injured, I care about her right to not have a religion that isn’t her own shoved down her throat and in her face at all hours of the day, I care about our ability to be seen and recognized in a country who’s Supreme Court walked back abortion rights and said they might try and do the same for gay marriage and a HOST of other shit, and I care about her ability to enjoy her fucking life and live as an independent adult in a country that is ridiculously expensive and inhospitable to people young and old just trying to get by.
2. I have friends who live in America. I’ve met some wonderful, truly amazing people through this absolute hellsite, and some of them are American. Now Canada isn’t a complete health paradise by any stretch of the imagination, but the fact that the majority of my American friends can’t get needed mental health interventions when they are really in danger, can’t get necessary cancer screenings so they can not die, and even stuff as simple as regular doctor’s visits even after working two jobs and going to college because they can’t afford it is disgusting.
3. America is a global superpower. America is constantly in the global spotlight, and like it or not, people from other countries absorb what it spews. I have a friend in the fucking Caribbean whose parents and grandparents parrot Trump and Republican talking points. Also, on the topic of being a global superpower, they’re also a global target. If the American president decides to… I don’t know… piss off another world leader who has access to nuclear weapons, my country is going to feel the impact of those bombs too, especially since many of our major cities are close to the border, and I’m sure I’ll be really upset about nuclear winter rolling in once I’m done mourning the deaths of my friends and family in the states because of a war they (innocent citizens) didn’t start :) I also have friends in Europe who are dangerously close to certain other superpowers who may be put in actual real danger if a war starts even if they aren’t directly involved!
4. Oh yeah, on the topic of war, I CARE ABOUT THE SHIT GOING ON IN THE MIDDLE EAST RIGHT NOW???? AMERICA IS FUNDING A GENOCIDE????? AND TRUMP WANTS ISRAEL TO “hurry up and finish the job”???? FUCK NO.
5. I care about global warming and climate change. You guys can see what Hurricane Helene did, right? Climate change fostered an environment that allowed that storm to get so big and so deadly. I also care about how California is like- perpetually on fire???? It shouldn’t be like that, guys.
6. Global trade. American trade policies are going to affect the prices of food, and other goods here in Canada, and I’m a university student with a part time job with some members of my family who can’t work, or who work over 40 hours a week who can barely afford to live right now, let alone after the prices of things get inflated more.
7. People are human beings. American citizens who are going to suffer under another republican presidency are human beings. The people in the Middle East who are dying right now are human beings. My friends and family who are affected by the actions of a country that isn’t even close to them right now are human beings. I can’t just artfully look away and think what my country’s next door neighbour is doing is okay.

Alex Bollinger at LGBTQ Nation:
Former Fox host Tucker Carlson said that it’s so obvious that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) is gay that it actually proves that it’s Democrats who are the real homophobes because Walz doesn’t feel comfortable coming out. Carlson was on Megyn Kelly’s SiriusXM show, where she played a clip of Walz gesticulating energetically at the end of a rally. Walz has gotten media attention for his animated presence at campaign events. “I’m just gonna say, I don’t know any man who behaves like that,” Kelly said.
“Come on, I mean, come on,” Carlson responded, apparently frustrated at something. “I don’t want to be mean and also I don’t want to say things I can’t prove, but like, let’s- let’s be real.” “Let me just say, not connected necessarily to Tim Walz, I’m never going to take another lecture about gay rights from these people, like, ‘Oh, you hate gays and you keep them all in the closet or whatever,'” Carlson ranted as Kelly giggled. “Any party… Stop with the, with the lectures about that stuff. Do you know what I mean? If you’re so for, in general, if you’re so for gay rights then that would mean that any member of your party who’s gay would feel free to say so in public and would not be pretending not to be gay. I’m just saying.” Carlson then said that he doesn’t dislike Walz for being gay, but he’s mad at “the falseness of” his pretending to be straight. Walz is married and has two kids with his wife. He has never said that he identifies as anything under the LGBTQ+ umbrella.
[...] Pundits have noted that “masculinity” has become a subtext this election, with the Republican ticket positioning itself as “strong” candidates who will “protect” women by upholding conservative gender roles. Harris has painted Republicans’s anti-abortion policies as a threat to women’s bodily autonomy and the right of all Americans to make personal medical decisions. Walz is a father, a hunter, a former military servicemember, and a former football coach who has steadfastly supported LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive, and workers’ rights, but many on the right define masculinity now as the opposition to women’s equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and gun control measures. Walz, on the other hand, is now best known for his supporting role in Harris’ candidacy as well as his past advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, including helping his school establish a gay-straight alliance in the 1990s and making Minnesota a sanctuary state for trans youth.
Former Fox host Tucker Carlson, appearing on fellow former Fox colleague Megyn Kelly’s SiriusXM Triumph show Wednesday, pushed the homophobic rumor that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) is “gay”.

Sorry I need to send this about the "children of the goddess should not be allowed to rule" thing. Cause like, why shouldn't they. We, as humans generally appreciate the guidance of someone older and wiser. Wouldn't a nabatean's lifespan and experience make them the most "fit" to rule? Like, yeah, I trust someone with a millenia life experience to lead more than I trust someone with under 3 decades. And maybe it can be argued that Rhea didn't do a good enough job, but that doesn't actually disqualify the rest of them? Like, either they're truly godlike and should lead due to their inherent experience and wisdom, or they're just like any other person, in which case why shouldn't they get the CHANCE to lead. Like, is the situation that they live in fodlan, but have no rights to play a role in the future that they'll have to live in? They're not allowed to be in a position of leadership due to their race? Cause that's like. Pretty bad. But this is a question the game cannot answer because it might make homegirl look slightly morally questionable.
Go ahead anon, rant!
I think this issue could have also been raised in FE10 - but that game and "racism" is like... you believe you're eating a chocolate flavored peanut, and only realise you're actually eating a peanut flavored chocolate.
For all of the focus, in both games of the duology, Daien got as the laguz hating country, there's no line/zilch about them being happy - or not - with having a heron branded queen? Miccy will age slower than regular beorcs, will Daein peeps be okay with that? We don't know, but we sure know that legends will remember Ikey-poo fondly, just, don't give a fuck about the world or the other characters from the verse please.
As for Nabateans not being allow to do either X or Y based on their race... well, it was basically raised early in the fandom days by some people, myself included, but I guess being able to drink tea with Freezer overwrote that issue.
We could argue using headcanons all day long, for 5 years lol about what Rhea did or didn't - since the game loves to tell and show different things, but the fact that Nopes had to add Yuri and Dimitri discussing about common sense, like feeding people first before giving them education, I'm pretty sure the devs never believed people would seriously wonder what would Clout/Supreme Leader/Dimi's policies about "making a better world" would entail : both Yuri and Ferdie's supports are just here to, in a typical Fodlan fashion, sprinkle peanuts on your ice cream to make you believe you're really eating a snickers.
"We're a very serious game about having three political powers discussing about the future of the world and what should be done to reach this ideal !"
"And no one thought about food? People needing food to survive? Before doing anything else like getting a proper education or wishing to have a say in the politics of their respective states?"
"... Well, we also tackle very serious themes like isolationism and its effect of society and prejudices!"
"By depicting the foreign neighbours as MENA inspired people being bloodthirsty and deadset on pillaging or rampaging in cities? They attack for fun and let their orphans die as canon fodder? And the main lead who wants to talk about opening the borders and isolationsim never mentions this? At all? Especially since he's a prince of this MENA inspired country?"
"... but we hammer in 3 routes how this lady is evil incarnate, and in the 4 others, we say she sus!"
"Your point being? One person hearsaid to be wrong doesn't suddenly make the rest of your cast likeable, especially if their writing has glaring holes like the ones I pointed!"
"... we can sell super rad umbrellas?"
And you know what, it's a damn shame the devs didn't believe in their "homegirl" as you said it, because Freezer is somehow super popular, and that was even before the DBS retcons!
#anon#replies#fodlan nonsense#fandom woes#seiyuus are seiyuus but like#did you know Freezer's og seiyuu is also the one who voiced Kurotsuchi Mayuri in Bleach?#Sure they're both evil and hammy and have no regard for life in general but damn#they're super popular for a reason#their writers never pulled their punches about them sans dbs of course#yep even for mayuri#imagine if Zihark told Miccy that as Branded she shouldn't be allowed to rule over humans#even if he sang a jpop song I believe he'd receive some backlash

Understanding Transgender Rights: A Beginner's Guide
Introduction:
In recent years, the movement for transgender rights has gained significant attention worldwide. As awareness grows, it becomes increasingly important for everyone to understand the issues faced by transgender individuals and the rights they are advocating for. This article serves as a beginner's guide to understanding transgender rights, exploring the history, legal framework, and importance of these rights in today's society.
What Does Transgender Mean?
To begin, let's clarify what “transgender” means. Transgender is an umbrella term that refers to individuals whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth. This includes people who identify as trans men, trans women, non-binary, genderqueer, and many other identities along the gender spectrum. It's essential to respect each person's self-identified gender and use the pronouns they prefer.
Transgender Rights Are Human Rights:
One of the central messages of the transgender rights movement is that trans rights are human rights. This means that transgender individuals deserve the same fundamental rights and freedoms as anyone else. These rights include the right to live authentically, free from discrimination and violence, and access to healthcare, education, employment, and housing without fear of prejudice.
The Origins of the Trans Rights Movement:
The modern trans rights movement traces its roots back to the activism of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals who have long fought for recognition, equality, and justice. While transgender people have always existed, organized advocacy for their rights began to gain momentum in the mid-20th century. Key events such as the Stonewall riots in 1969, led by transgender women of color, sparked a broader movement for LGBTQ+ rights, including transgender rights.
Trans Joy and Resilience:
Despite the many challenges faced by transgender individuals, it's essential to acknowledge and celebrate moments of trans joy. Trans joy encompasses the happiness, pride, and sense of community that many transgender people experience. It can be found in personal achievements, supportive relationships, and moments of self-expression. By highlighting trans joy, we honor the resilience and strength of the transgender community.
Understanding Transgender Rights:
Transgender rights encompass a wide range of issues, including legal recognition, healthcare access, protection from discrimination, and safety from violence.
Let's explore some key aspects of transgender rights:
Legal Recognition: Transgender individuals often face significant barriers to having their gender identity legally recognized. This includes obstacles to changing their name and gender marker on identification documents such as driver's licenses and passports. Legal recognition is essential for affirming a person's gender identity and ensuring their rights are protected.
Healthcare Access: Transgender people deserve access to healthcare that is respectful, affirming, and inclusive of their unique needs. This includes access to gender-affirming medical care such as hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgeries. However, many transgender individuals face discrimination and barriers to accessing quality healthcare.
Protection from Discrimination: Transgender individuals frequently experience discrimination in various aspects of life, including employment, housing, education, and public accommodations. Transgender rights advocates work to pass laws and policies that prohibit discrimination based on gender identity and expression.
Safety from Violence: Transgender people, particularly transgender women of color, are disproportionately targeted for violence and hate crimes. Ensuring the safety and well-being of transgender individuals requires addressing systemic issues such as transphobia, racism, and misogyny, while also providing support services and resources for survivors of violence.
Trans Rights Laws:
Several laws and policies have been enacted to protect the rights of transgender individuals, although there is still much work to be done. Some of these include:
Anti-Discrimination Laws: These laws prohibit discrimination based on gender identity and expression in areas such as employment, housing, education, and public accommodations.
Hate Crime Laws: Hate crime laws enhance penalties for crimes committed against individuals based on their gender identity or expression.
Healthcare Access Laws: Some jurisdictions have passed laws to ensure that transgender individuals have access to gender-affirming healthcare without discrimination or barriers.
Trans Rights Quotes:
Throughout history, many individuals have spoken out in support of transgender rights. Here are a few powerful quotes:
"Transgender rights are human rights." - Hillary Clinton
"We should indeed keep calm in the face of difference, and live our lives in a state of inclusion and wonder at the diversity of humanity." - George Takei
"We must ensure that trans people are treated equally under the law and are not discriminated against in any way." - Bernie Sanders
Conclusion:
In conclusion, understanding transgender rights is essential for creating a more just and inclusive society. By recognizing transgender people as valued members of our communities and advocating for their rights, we can work towards a world where everyone can live authentically and freely. Trans rights are human rights, and it's up to all of us to ensure that they are upheld and protected.
Through education, advocacy, and allyship, we can contribute to positive change and create a more equitable future for transgender individuals everywhere. Let's stand together in support of trans rights, now and always.

Are you able to give us one last snippet of Wilds Winds? I've been loving the last few! It's absolutely okay if you can't though! Only if you want to 💖
Yes!! Let's do another!! I'm so glad you're loving it!!
18+ | MDNI | References to canon drug use and underage drinking.
It wasn’t long before a third person joined Topper and Kelce at the end of the bar, the boys clapping hands and giving one armed hugs, greeting each other loudly. A glance to her left told her it was nineteen year old Rafe Cameron, recently back from his first year at UNC-Chapel Hill. Although, rumor has it that it was his first and only year at college. Apparently the university had a zero tolerance policy on finding coke in their student’s dorms, even if it was during the end of the year bash.
He rested his hands flat on the bar, half smile across his face as he listened to whatever Kelce was animatedly telling him, both high school boys excited to talk to someone older. While they told their story, laughing and nudging each other with the backs of their hands, Rafe’s eyes wandered slightly, only a little unfocused as he took in his surroundings. Logan reached down to grab onto one of the cocktail glasses, pouring the measured gin into the glass when she felt his eyes on her.
She turned her head, meeting his gaze briefly before reaching for one of the long spoons to stir the drink with when his voice sounded from the far end of the bar, successfully cutting Kelce’s story off. “Logan!” She passed off the beverage to one of the pool-side servers when she was done with it, smiling kindly at the girl before she tossed an unamused look towards the boys. “Did you suddenly age two years, Rafe?”
“Cute,” he called back, leaning his forearms onto the bar, smile still pulling at his lips, his hand lifting to brush his hair back and out of his eyes, “What do you have on tap?”
Logan glanced towards the bar, eyes running across her beer selection before she turned back to him, “Water.”
Kelce and Topper cackled and hooted beside him, the former reaching over to slap Rafe across the back, “Tough luck, Rafe. Look, there’s a new girl inside who doesn’t card. She made me a spicy marg last week…”
Kelce and Topper wandered off but Rafe remained leaning against the bar, his eyes trained on her, watching as she reached down to grab one of the pint glasses and filled it up. She slid it down the bar to him, the liquid sloshing over the side as she reached down to grab one of the tiny paper umbrellas she used for the fruity and blended drinks, “Would an umbrella make you feel better?”
Rafe picked up the glass, taking a sip of the water as he walked around the bar, sliding the glass along with it until he reached her, “You know what’s gonna happen, right?”
“What?” Logan rested her elbows on the bar, chin placed delicately in the palm of her hand as she humored him, “I’m going to stay out of jail and not lose my liquor license?”
“You’re gonna pour me that beer,” Rafe held her gaze and she lifted her eyebrows. “We all know how this works here. You’re the only one who refuses to cooperate. You think the club manager’s gonna be happy when he gets a call from the Cameron family about not being served?”
“I could call the police.”
“Yeah and you’ll lose your job and any other you have on the island.” He pushed the water back towards her before his blue eyes met hers, “Pour the drink, Logan, and I’ll still tip you.”
She watched him pull his wallet out, Benjamin Franklin’s face flashing her direction before he placed it on the bar and shoved it towards her. Logan reached forward to grab onto the bill, dragging it towards her before she reached down and grabbed another pint glass. She had to turn her back on Rafe to fill it, making sure to block his view of what she was doing as she poured the non-alcoholic beer into the glass. When she spun back around and placed Rafe’s drink back on the bar, she only smiled politely as he took it from her, their eyes meeting once more, her voice low enough only he could hear, “You’ve got a bit of cocaine around your left nostril. Just FYI.”
