Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone is trying to say that these lines are official in Sonic Frontiers, know that it is misinformation and that they are lying because these lines were cut and are not in the game officially.
In bullet points:
These lines are cut-lines and they never made it to the final version for any platform
Ian, the writer for Sonic Frontiers, didn't even write these lines to be in the game
Since the lines are in the database of the game (but does not occur in the final version of the game), the lines can be modded into the game to make it seem official or that it's in the final version of the game
"Proofs" showing these lines to be in the game have faults within them, such as not occurring on the correct island or weather condition
There are several factors to consider when acknowledging these lines existence. One of the main factors is that these are cut-lines that never made it to the official and final version of Sonic Frontiers. This goes for both the English and Japanese version of the game. These lines can only be found through datamining the game, which means to look through files deep within the game that don't make it to the surface. So, these lines will never be activated because there is nothing to activate it, therefore it is not official lines.
Another thing to know about is that Ian, the one who wrote the story and dialogue lines for Sonic Frontiers, was not even aware of these lines existing in the game because he never wrote them or had anything similar be made for these lines to exist. Therefore, it wasn't even planned to have these lines in the game whatsoever. Someone else, other than Ian, snuck the lines in and had it go against what the original story was in the first place; they tried to have their own story or vision be put in the game aside from what Ian wrote or how it was originally conceived. This makes the lines even more unofficial and not real. Many already acknowledge that these lines are not official and are cut lines.
youtube
One more thing to consider is that even if people show "proof" of it existing in the games, these lines and even text can be easily modded into the game for it to seem like it exists in the final game. But just because it is modified in, doesn't mean that it was there originally.
As it can be seen through this individual who is able to make unused conversations be put into the game in some manner through modification, it is also possible to put unused conversations lines in the game in some manner. These lines towards Amy aren't the only lines that are unused in the game. There are many lines that aren't used and that are still in the database of the game, but that doesn't mean that any of them made it to the final game for people to see through normal means.
Another thing to take note about is that these lines towards Amy (the "Umbrella" and "Making up his mind" lines), are lines that occur on Rhea or Ouranos Island, but the first pictures shown in this thread show that the lines were randomly said on Kronos Island, the first island you go to in the game. That shows that this person modified the lines to be said in the game and that they are not triggered under normal means. Another way to figure out that these lines are modified is that the "Umbrella" line is supposed to only be triggered while it's raining, but the line is said randomly while it is only cloudy in the person's "proof" of it existing in the game.
On a side note, datamining and modifying games tend to be illegal depending on what company the game comes from. For example, Nintendo has policies that say that if you are to play their games, you cannot modify their systems or games that are played on that console. So this practice of modifying and datamining is not encouraged by the majority of game companies and isn't welcomed, therefore it should become a common practice to not to try to do these illegal activity towards any game.

The Intelligent Shadow
In Shadow Generations from Sonic x Shadow Generations, Shadow has the ability to morph into an octopus through the ability, "Doom Morph."
Though many confuse Shadow turning into a squid due to a meme from Sonic Frontiers with the mini boss "Squid," what Shadow morphs into in Shadow Generations is an octopus, not a squid. The main indicator in noticing this difference is the shape of Doom Morph and in the arms where it resembles more an octopus than a squid. This is also shown in posts from Sonic Team that mention Doom Morph with an octopus emoji, not a squid.
The difference between an octopus' arms and a squid's is that two of a squid's arms are different than the rest of the arms. Another difference is their head where a squid looks more to have an arrow shaped head with fins on the side versus an octopus having a round circular head with no fins. Doom Morph's arms are of all the same shape and Doom Morph has a round head without fins instead of a sharp pointed head with fins on the side.
Octopus vary depending on the species, but they are most well known for their intelligence. It has been studied that octopuses are one of the most intelligent species where they can solve puzzles, do problem solving, solve mazes, know how to use tools, are good at escaping, know how to play/have fun, are observational learners and can experience pain as sentient beings. An octopus could have been chosen for this reason to allude to Shadow being highly intelligent himself.
Octopus are also known for their ability to escape where they are able to create ink clouds to deter predators while they escape at high speed. Some are even known to camouflage to hide from predators or hunt for prey. Some even use deimatic behaviour to deter predators, which is a form of bluffing used to startle predators in order to make an escape. So like octopuses, Shadow is also quick and can even be said to show some signs of bluffing when he at times tries to make himself seem menacing or harsh despite being empathetic and caring deep down. Though Shadow has not shown to camouflage in games, in recent advertisements for the Sonic Movie 3, Shadow was shown to hide in the shadows before Knuckles shines a flashlight on him to which he then proceeds to scare him by saying, "Boo."
Another point about an octopus being used is the fact it relates to the number 8, which is a number that tends to relate to Shadow occasionally. Another place where the number 8 appears is Shadow's symbol where it has 8 points on it, which is also shown in the game Shadow Generations and is even in the title Sonic x Shadow Generations where the "O" for Shadow's name is.

Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone uses this to say that Amy is Sonic's love interest, know that it is misinformation because it never states that in the original Japanese.
The Japanese is mistranslated in the English translation when talking about Sonic CD in Sonic and the Secret Rings. In English, it may call Amy Sonic's love interest, but that was never stated in the original Japanese, therefore the English translators mistranslated it on purpose or are pushing their own personal interpretations in the mistranslated English. In Japanese it simply gives Amy a description before stating that she appears in the game. Sonic's name is never mentioned in the original Japanese.
What it says in Japanese: "A brimming with vigor, love to fall in love girl, Amy, appears."
Or for it to make more sense in English: "Amy, who is an energetic girl that loves falling in love, appears (in this game)."
The sentence in Japanese: "元気いっぱい 恋に恋する女の子 エミー登場"
If you take the sentence apart (which you can see on this website) you will see each word on it’s own to see the direct translation.
元気 = Energetic; Lively
元気 いっぱい = Brimming with Vigor; Brimming with Health; Full of Vitality
恋 = (Romantic) Love (which is more closer to having an attraction towards someone)
恋する = To Fall in Love (with); to love
女の子 = Girl; Young Woman; Daughter; Baby (girl)
エミー = Amy
登場 = Appears

Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone tries to use the nickname "Faker" between Sonic and Shadow, know that them calling each other that is misinformation and isn't accurate at all.
The only time Sonic called Shadow "Faker" was in the English dub for Sonic Adventure 2. After that, Sonic calling Shadow that "nickname" was a fan idea/interpretation made for the two. It was picked up by unofficial medias like the Archie comics and was even used in inconsistent content like the TailsTubes, but originally, it was only said once in English in a mainline Sonic game and never mentioned again. After that, the fan interpretation of Shadow calling Sonic "Faker" back despite never calling Sonic that, also influenced a LEGO game with the two of them, but Shadow never officially called Sonic a "Faker" since the beginning or in a mainline game either.
In the original Japanese dialogue between Sonic and Shadow, the term "Faker" was never used. Sonic only called Shadow literally a "fake guy" or "fake bastard" in Sonic Adventure 2. He never called him specifically "Faker" and Shadow didn't call it to him back. Shadow simply questions Sonic calling him a "fake" and questions that isn't Sonic the fake one. He then goes on to say that him and Sonic are not on equal levels to even call Sonic a fake compared to himself.
Sonic: "このニセモノ野郎"
Shadow: "ニセモノ? ハ, フェイクは君の方じゃないのか?"
Shadow: "いや, フェイクと呼ぶには… レベルが違いすぎるか?"
Sonic uses the term: "ニセモノ" (nisemono) to say fake while Shadow uses the term: "フェイク" (feiku), or in English, since it is in Katakana for the word: "Fake." Sonic uses a mixture of Kanji and Katakana to use the Japanese term for "Fake/Counterfeit/Imitation."
Neither Sonic or Shadow use the term "Faker" in Japanese and only call the other "Fake" in either Japanese or English (Katakana). Only once in a mainline game has Sonic ever called Shadow a "Faker" in the English dub for Sonic Adventure 2. Afterwards, them calling each other "Faker" in English medias only happened three times, but they are inaccurate or not official medias. Voice actors having Sonic and Shadow call each other "Faker" with their voices or personal texts/posts does not count towards this since they do it out of their own volitation whether it is accurate to the games or not. Therefore, Sonic and Shadow calling each other "Faker" as a common nickname is misinformation and is not accurate to official/original lore.
What Sonic and Shadow tend to call each other is by their names or Shadow occasionally calling Sonic "hedgehog." They don't use the nickname "Faker" among each other and are more respectful or on good terms by calling each other their names. Though Sonic was quite rude to Shadow when they first met, Sonic grew to respect Shadow once saving the world together with him when beating the BioLizard/Final Hazard. Shadow also in turn respected Sonic once seeing his ability in surviving the blast from the capsule he was shot out with a fake Chaos Emerald by using it to Chaos Control to safety. His respect for him then continued to grow as he started to see how capable Sonic was in their continued encounters and when they fought together against common enemies.

Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone tries to claim that Shadow and Maria could be lovers due to any reasons, such as one creator basing them off of a romance manga, one of the creators liking them paired together romantically, or from taking things out of context to state that they said they loved each other or Maria said she loved Shadow without seeing herself as a sibling/family member, know that that's misinformation/disinformation.
Shadow and Maria's relationship has been described literally as such in the Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) Japanese manual: "Maria, who had a big brother and little sister (or sibling) like relationship with Shadow, was also sacrificed..." This comes from the sentence: "シャドウとは兄妹のような関係であったマリアも, その犠牲に..."
In this sentence, the term "兄妹" is used, which means "older brother and little sister." But above the Kanji, the text is said to be read as "きょうだい," which means siblings. So since Shadow the Hedgehog 2005, it has been stated that Shadow and Maria are siblings where perhaps Shadow is seen as the older brother and Maria as the little sister. This probably comes from Shadow being the one to take care of Maria due to her being sick despite Shadow being awakened or born after Maria has been born.
This was also stated in the English manual for the game where it called Maria a sibling/sister to Shadow.
Though there are many inconsistencies in this game to consider it official to the main Sonic timeline, Shadow Generations also says that Shadow and Maria are siblings and family by calling them "きょうだい" and "家族," which means siblings and family.
Shadow and Maria are called siblings three times in Japanese and are called family in both Japanese and English in the game. In Maria's profile, the summary for Sonic Adventure 2 and in Shadow's backstory animation, Maria is called a sibling to Shadow. When speaking to Maria in the overworld at the end of the game, Maria says to Shadow that herself and Gerald are his true family.
When saying that she will always love Shadow in both English and Japanese, it is with the context of Maria calling herself Shadow's family first before she says that she loves him. So when saying this, she is stating that she loves Shadow as family or as a sibling as stated in Japanese with them being called siblings three times.
Maria being called a sibling to Shadow:
Maria calling Shadow family:
Japanese:
Those who made the animation for Shadow Generations, Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings, also stated that Shadow and Maria are long lost siblings. This is seen in the ALT of their post about the animation where an image was drawn for the animation with both Shadow and Maria on it. In the ALT it says: "Shadow and Maria reach out for one another in an infinite abyss (as long-lost siblings would) with the Moon and the Space Colony ARK in the background." Even one who has helped with the Shadow Generations game states that Shadow and Maria are to be seen as siblings or family, like in the game. So even on the English side of the company, they stated that Shadow and Maria are to be seen as siblings or family and that they see them as such. Therefore, any interactions done between them in the animation are to be seen through the lens of seeing them as siblings since that was their intention when creating the animation.
[Original format of the meme]
So despite not being blood related to be specifically blood siblings, the two are described and seen as having a sibling relationship despite not being related by blood. Therefore, the two don't see each other as anything more than a sibling and they don't see each other in a romantic perspective when caring for each other or when thinking of the other. Text clearly state in both English and Japanese that Shadow and Maria are to be seen as unrelated siblings and treat each other as so. It has been said to be so since 2005.
If others bring up Shiro Maekawa as a reason to see the two romantically, it is important to remember that:
He doesn't work for SEGA anymore (since 2008)
He isn't the only one who worked on the creation of Shadow and Maria
He doesn't own the characters Shadow or Maria
His opinions are his own, not the company's
Even if Maekawa based Shadow and Maria off of a romance manga called "Please Save My Earth" (Boku no Chikyū o Mamotte), how the characters end up being described or perceived is up to the company that owns the characters, not Maekawa. Therefore, as stated above, the two are to be perceived or seen as siblings and nothing more.
Maekawa wanting to see Maria and Shadow romantically is his personal opinion out of his personal interests from liking to see young looking girls or ladies with a big chest in a romantic atmosphere (which he doesn't deny). Since those are his personal interests and he helped with the creation of Shadow, he personally likes to put that desire on Shadow as well. Once again, this doesn't reflect on how the company who actually own the characters see Shadow or his relationship with others like Maria and Rouge (who has been described by Sonic Team as simply a co-worker/business partner to Shadow). This is just how Maekawa personally likes to see Shadow out of his own personal fan interpretation that isn't related at all to how the company sees or wants Shadow to be perceived.
If single employees are brought up as a reason to say the two saw each other romantically despite that opinion going against written lore, one or two employees' opinions on the relationship of the two doesn't speak for the whole company or their co-workers. A single employee does not represent the company's view as a whole, especially when it is already stated in text (since 2005, 19 years ago) that the two are to be seen as unromantic and as siblings/family. The company has been clear with the stance between Shadow and Maria and it is their characters, not the fans' or employees'. Therefore their opinion on the two's relationship is not for them to determine or say for the company has already stated what the relationship between them is like or is to be seen as since long ago.

Sonic x Shadow Generations The Final Battle! Cutscene w/Japanese Voice Over
The cutscene called "The Final Battle!" in Sonic x Shadow Generations. In this video, you can hear how the Japanese dialogue is different than the English changed script shown on screen with the subtitles. The Japanese dialogue is the same as the old English script since the Japanese script didn't change compared to the last Sonic Generations script. An exception to this is that Classic Eggman wasn't called "Dr. Robotnik" by Classic Tails in the Japanese dialogue for either the new or old game. That dialogue was something in the old English dialogue that was transferred to the new English dialogue.
In the original Japanese dialogue, it calls Shadow one of Sonic's friends because he was thrown into the fray of things like Silver. You can hear this when Eggman says "仲間" (Nakama) when saying he trapped Sonic's friends to lure him away from himself (before he was ready to fight him) in the sentence "そしてお前をおびきよせるために きさまの仲間をとじこめた". In the new English changed dialogue, he says "And now all of time is ours to do with as we please!" instead. Shadow also helped the Sonics in their battle against the Time Eater like everyone else who appears in this cutscene, therefore showing that Shadow is also one of Sonic's friends like Silver, Knuckles, Tails, Cream, Blaze, etc.
Some dialogue Shadow says to when the Sonics fight the Time Eater:

Sonic x Shadow Generations The Final Battle! Cutscene w/ Japanese Voice Over and Subtitles
Here is a video of "The Final Battle!" cutscene in Sonic x Shadow Generations with the Japanese voice over and subtitles.
In this video, Eggman rudely says to Sonic that he lured Sonic away from himself with his friends by imprisoning them, which is different than the newly changed English dialogue for the game where he says: "And now all of time is ours to do with as we please!".
Eggman calls all those involved Sonic's friends with the sentence:
"そしてお前をおびきよせるために きさまの仲間をとじこめた"
This sentence roughly translates to:
"To lure you away, I imprisoned your friends."
To see some screenshots of Shadow's dialogue when helping Sonic defeat the Time Eater, click here.
*An extra little note about this sentence is that Eggman is actually addressing Sonic's friends very rudely by saying "きさま," which can be translated to "you," but it can also translate to two other things as shown below:

Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone uses this to say that Amy is being called Sonic's girlfriend, that is not entirely true and is misinformation.
This sentence is being sarcastic when calling Amy Sonic's girlfriend because right after, it says she is not the girlfriend and is rather a presence that chases after Sonic, or more specifically, an obsessive fan girl who chases a celebrity. This is emphasized by there being ellipsis ("...") after it sarcastically calls Amy Sonic's girlfriend.
The sentence is saying along the lines of: "In [Sonic CD] appears Sonic's girlfriend... is actually a being closer to an obsessive fan girl that chases him."
Or for it to make more sense in English: "Sonic's girlfriend that appears in [Sonic CD]... is actually a being closer to an obsessive fan girl that chases him."
For it to further make sense in English, the sentence is basically saying that: "Amy is closer to a person who chases after Sonic rather than her being his girlfriend." or "Amy is more of an obsessive fan (who chases after a celebrity) than a girlfriend."
This would make sense because she is a self-proclaimed girlfriend. And in future medias (that are not incorrectly translated), it never states that Amy is Sonic's girlfriend. She is and has always been a self-proclaimed girlfriend, never his real girlfriend. This is even stated on Sonic Team's website, Sonic Channel.
The sentence in Japanese: "[ソニックCD] に登場のソニックのガールフレンド.......というより, 追っかけに近い存在."
If you take the sentence apart (which you can see on this website) you will see each word on it’s own to see the direct translation.
ソニック = Sonic (in Katakana)
登場 = Appearance
ガールフレンド = Girlfriend
というより = (A phrasing that can have many meanings, like saying "is more of" or "rather than" or "or rather" or "it's actually" or "is more... than" etc. The basic meaning of the phasing is saying that "something is actually something else.")
というより+ (近い) = Similar to the Phrase Above + Closer to = Is Actually Closer to (in this instance)
追っかけ = Obsessive Fan who Follows a Celebrity Around; Chase; Pursuit
存在 = Presence; Being; Existence; Entity
The added ellipsis ("...") is to further emphasizes she is not a girlfriend; that calling her a girlfriend is not actually true.
Another thing to point out is how in English you can see on the top it calls those on the page Sonic's friends and Sonic has always been saying that Amy is just a friend. Even employees have said that Amy is only a friend with a one-sided romantic interest in Sonic.
For the phrase "というより" here are some examples of sentences that use it in Japanese (1 | 2)
First:
In this you can see how the phrasing is generally translated with some sample sentences. In both sentences, the phrasing is translated to generally "something is actually something else." In this case, it would be saying that someone's job is more of a hobby than a job and that the day is cold rather than cool.
The phrasing has no specific translation in this case and is more of a phrasing that is used in this type of situation when saying "one thing is more like something else."
Second:
Here is also an explanation on what the phrasing means and some more sample sentences where the phrasing is translated to phrases like "is more... than" or "feel more... than" or "it's actually."
For the explanation, how it would fit with this sentence would be saying that: even though people call her a girlfriend, it's more fitting to say she is an obsessive fan girl who chases him.

Correcting Misinformation and Disinformation
If anyone uses this to claim that it is Sonic saying that he is calling Amy his girlfriend, that is misinformation/disinformation, they are lying and it shows that they don't know how to read Japanese at all.
This sentence has nothing to do with Sonic calling anyone his girlfriend. And what is in the parentheses is not a part of the sentence, that is a personal interpretation of what the person thought of after mistranslating the sentence.
What the sentence says is this: "Sorry but, I find a girlfriend to be an inconvenience (burden or discomfort)." or "Unfortunately, a girlfriend is something that I don't want to inconvenience myself with, you know."
The sentence in Japanese: "あいにく, ガールフレンドには 不自由して いないもんでね"
If you take the sentence apart (which you can see on this website) you will see each word on it's own to see the direct translation.
あいにく = Unfortunately or Sorry, but...
ガールフレンド = Girlfriend
不自由して = Doing Discomfort or Inconvenience
いない = (something along the lines of) Do not (when paired with 不自由して)
もん = Something/Person/Thing
でね = You know
Another thing to point out is that the sentence in Japanese does not have the word or meaning "have" in it. "Have" in Japanese would involve the character or particle "が."
One more thing to point out is that with the incorrect translation, if Sonic was saying that, then it does not reflect in the game it is in, nor future medias where he runs away from Amy constantly (like in Sonic Battle) or considers her only a friend.
