Dashing into Mementos on his own, Joker arrives at a warped station platform where he sees the distinct figure of a man in black, standing alone with his feet just behind the safety line. The man stares at the tunnel wall, back turned towards the thief, either not noticing his presence or not acknowledging it.

Joker takes a step forward, about to call out to the man when a train suddenly arrives at the station, speeding in through the tunnels. The rushing wind causes the man’s black coat to flap and flutter. The vehicle moves so fast, the red light of the windows blurring together, and it seems like it will pass the station completely.

…But somehow, it does slow down to a stop. The wind dies down and the area is steeped in silence until the doors of the train slide open with a sharp hiss. More red light spills out of the open doorway onto the station floor, but not onto the man in black. Instead, a shadow casts onto the man, the source of which is an individual who looks much like him.

His lookalike. His counterpart. A man in white.

For a moment, both identical men just stand there in the middle of the doorway. The one in black looking in and the one in white looking out. 

Then, the man in white offers his hand, palm up, to his counterpart on the other side of the train door.

The man in black takes it, gripping the offered hand tightly.

He’s yanked into the vehicle, a black coat disappearing into red light as the doors slide shut behind him with finality.

And off the train goes, departing from the station and disappearing into twisted tunnels. Full speed ahead.

Amongst the rushing wind and the rumbling rails of the leaving train, Joker can vaguely hear the echoes of boisterous laughter and he smiles to himself.

AN: A reunion cutscene for the twins since we didn’t get to see it happen! It could possibly be a special cutscene that’s triggered under certain requirements.

in light of the new pokemon game, ive decided to compile who i think persona 5 characters would have on their team

Joker: meowscarada, umbreon, zoroark, darkrai, froslass?, mimikyu

Ryuji: alolan raichu, jolteon, boltund, riolu

Ann: delphox, flareon, gardevoir, lycanroc (midday), vulpix. i think she’d also have a nihilego if she could get one

Yusuke: alolan ninetales, glalie, smeargle, amaura

Makoto: aegislash, cryogonal, lucario, metagross

Futaba: rotom, porygon z, cofagrigus, poipole

Haru: tinkaton. thats it. thats her team

i dont like akechi enough to add him in but he would have a corviknight just because haru has a tinkaton. also corviknight matches him

i think joker, haru and makoto are naturally skilled trainers. haru comes first, then joker, then makoto. haru mostly because she builds strong bonds with her pokemon and they love her - not that the others dont.

joker’s bonds with his pokemon are just as strong, however he shows some favouritism towards his umbreon, who i think would be his ace. this might be some eevee bias, but i think he’d like eevee anyway, they almost match, him being a wildcards and eevee having so many evolutions!

though i do think joker has multiple teams of pokemon. he mainly uses dark types, as its similar to curse magic, however he also has teams that get as much coverage as possible. he’s versatile and knows how to work that into his battles

haru is a very stick to what she likes kind of trainer. she doesnt care about being strong, yet is exceptionally so anyway. realistically i think shed have a tinkaton, sylveon, gallade and a few others, but its 5am and i cant think of any more

makoto is the opposite, in she cares about being strong a lot, it being one of her downfalls. she does bond with her pokemon, though not nearly as much as everybody else as she’s training with them a lot. they get breaks a ton, though!

i think futaba would be the next strongest, she knows how to quickly calculate how a battle could go, though it sometimes leads to her becoming overwhelmed when it doesnt go a way she planned, which leads to her defeat quite a lot. she’s learned a lot from joker though, like how to bounce back from tough situations like that and is getting better

yusuke… isnt a battler. he has pokemon because he likes to make friends with them, or rather, they try to be friends with him and he doesnt exactly want it but wont say no to new friends. he regularly uses his pokemon as muses for his art pieces, which they never mind

i think ann would be relatively strong, though shes more focused on pokemon performances than battles. think serena from the xyz anime!

ryuji… tries his best! hes not amazing, but hes not the worst youll find. that doesnt stop him from challenging everyone who annoys him to a pokemon battle, and losing almost every time. i like to think he gets frustrated with this eventually, and asks joker for help, so they battle to find his weak points, which ends in a sweet moment and ryuji realising he needs to get his head straight instead of charging into battles recklessly

Pikmin, Persona, Pokemon. Sonic's an honorable mention because it's so hard to choose between that and Pikmin, but with Pikmin 4 coming out, it takes priority.

The Sonic fandom is how I met one of my oldest friends. We met during a youth softball game, they were holding a tails plushie, and we started talking and the rest was history. There were so many sleepovers where we'd sit at the Wii, and load up one of the Mario & Sonic Olympic games. We both loved the dream trampoline event in the London 2012, but dream figure skating was a close second in Vancouver, along with dream snowboarding. I remember those interactive quizzes on Quotev, where there was a whole story about ending up in the Sonic universe and what hedgehog fell in love with you. I loved those stories. But one of my real introduction to the Sonic franchise was the Sonic X cartoons on Saturday morning. I'd beg my parents to record them, and I watched them whenever they aired live. My introduction to the Sonic games however, was with the ds version of Sonic colors. I saw it in kohl's, and it was 20 dollars. I begged my mom to get it for me, and after some hassling, she did. I remember getting stuck on the globetron fight for 15 minutes before I beat it. Ironically enough, the globetron fight was were I farmed extra lives, I got so good at it. I finished all the tropical resort missions, and it was the only zone I ever did that for. Gosh, I remember how teared up I was at the ending where yacker is telling the wisps about sonic. I was crying and so sad because I thought that yacker would never see sonic again. But when the wisps came back for later games, I was overjoyed! Even though yacker never really made another appearance, I was so happy to see the wisps again! And the ending and boss fight! I wasn't a big fan of the DS terminal velocity, but the final DS fight with the Nega Wisp Armor had me emotional as all heck, I don't even remember what I was feeling. That game was my childhood, and my 3ds has a bunch of hours on it for good damn reason. If one day, I don't have anyone, I'll still have Sonic and everything that he taught me. And I'll keep the blue blur in my memories until I'm gone from this earth.

Pikmin 3 deluxe has most of my replay time, simply because I just love playing it. The music is great, the visuals are awesome, and I enjoy it so much I did a presentation on the music for a college class of mine. It's just... soothing. And also stressed as heck on ultra spicy difficulty. But I love it. I'm always trying new things for my save files on it. I even tried speed running it. It's taught me better time and resource management skills than any class I've ever taken.

Persona... man what can I say? I started my introduction to the franchise with persona 5 strikers, and I'm getting royal's switch port soonish. The music really helped me survive a ton of stuff in my life, and I empathize so much with the themes of rebellion and questioning authority. I always loved the music. But it's the message that the game brings that really made it stand out for me. I was so excited to see the switch port for Persona 5 Royal, because we have an xbox, not a ps4 or ps5, which persona 5 was an exclusive for.

Pokemon. Ah, good old faithful. For background, my parents never let me watch or play and sort of pokemon media. They didn't like it, and they thought it would corrupt me. Well, I can't say they were wrong, but I learned more from pokemon than my parents ever thought. I learned a decent amount of my morals from pokemon, and that series taught me how to be kind, it taught me how to be compassionate to all living things, and it taught me how to be confident in the face of bad odds. I started my introduction to the anime with a snippet of the black and white anime, which I caught on public TV before my parents changed the channel, but I started my introduction to the games with Pokemon X. God(zilla), I will never forget Pokemon X and to this day I will tear up and cry hearing the theme of Professor Sycamore and the theme of Snowbelle city. Professor Sycamore was my introduction to the pokemon world, and he will be my favorite professor in Pokemon until the day I die. Then I got Sun and Moon, Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Moon, and Sword, and the franchise sucked me in. Nowadays, I don't have the luxury of time to keep up with pokemon, but I'll never forget the first memories of opening my 3ds to pokemon, and the wonderful adventures I found in the Kalos region.

Games have always been a big part of my life. I'm glad they've always been there for me.

I feel like rambling about my top 4 fav ships lol, I suppose they count as comfort ships haha (they do, they really do)

To start off, this ramble is a multifandom ramble, the ships are namelessshipping (pokemon), makoharu (persona 5), ninerose/tenrose (doctor who), and souyo (persona 4)

I just feel like rambling and I haven't posted my own content/rambles on this acc in awhile

I wanna ramble about headcanons that most of my friends know for at least namelessshipping, and add to hcs for the other ships

Red x Blue Oak (namelessshipping) from pkmn, they get married early at age 19 lol, they're 24 currently in my hcs and run/own the Battle Tree in Alola, they DID go on a honeymoon in Alola, but that was a couple years before they decided to move there and start the Battle Tree (I changed up the timeline in the sumo/usum games a bit lol)- both of them are gay and transmasc (both using he/him), Red took Blue's last name, his old last name was 'Shade' lmao (I have SOOOOOOOOOO many hcs for them but I'll save those for other days) (I have more hcs for all of these ships tbh but like yeah, saving my typing for now, mostly) audghshsh okay fine some more, they love cuddling, Red usually shows affection through actions (he's selectively mute in my hcs) and Blue loves it- Red is actually just slightly more clingy than Blue, tho, even tho they tease each other and Blue acts snarky and Red quietly confident during the day, at home they're affectionate and love to cuddle at the end of the night in each other's armssssss AUGHHDHDHHSHSHSHSHSH sorry the idea of them cuddling has comforted me SOOOOO much, haha it's a bit funny but it really does, they're my top ship ever (tho I support other ***SAFE*** ships) and yeah, ahdghdhdhs

Makoto Niijima x Haru Okumura (MakoHaru) from persona 5/persona 5 royal- Makoto is transfem (using she/her), and is bi and demisexual, Haru is a demigirl (using she/they), and a lesbian- they get together after the events of specifically third semester in p5 royal happen, Haru asks Makoto out on a date lol, Makoto is shocked cause she was growing feelings for Haru and was worried she wouldn't give her a chance, but yeah, they start dating- they combine their last names methinks, also Sae approves of Haru right away LMAO, since Makoto (when home for university holidays) brings Haru over all the time

The 9th/10th doctor x Rose Tyler (ninerose/tenrose) from modern doctor who- ohhhhhdggdhs my god, they make me soooo happy, yes I know it's a bit cliche to like the first (modern) companion from Dr who with the doc but like??? Their story is soooo tragic- and we don't leave out the ninth doc in this place, he is so silly and funny and it's great to see his development as Rose shows him how to be a bit happier again, and then regenerating into a younger looking person for her- yes I don't mind other doctor ships I just have a huge soft spot for Rose w the doc- I like to think the Doc (any regeneration) uses no labels lol, he uses any pronouns "what ya think, today!" and Rose is soooo pansexual (cis and uses she/her, btw)- I also give the Doc (any regen) different looking eyes and teeth (fangs hehehe) to make her look diff from humans a lil bit, secretly

And lastly, Yu Narukami x Yosuke Hanamura (SouYo) from persona 4/persona 4 golden- just finished p4 golden like last week and I immediately got attached/hyperfixated (I have adhd lol) on these two- most recent comfort ship of mine for sure, even tho I enjoy other ships ofc! I just tend to get favourites from games/shows/etc. Anyways Yu is transmasc (he/him), and Yosuke is cis (he/him), both are gay lol- Yosuke definitely must have some typa internalized homophobia- that or I think he projected his worried feelings onto Kanji (don't worry, he very much apologizes to Kanji eventually)- idk how Yu and Yosuke got together yet tbh, maybe after the golden and arena ultimax (I just started playing it) events? I also hc that uh, Yu's parents passed away somehow (idk how yet for sure) and he moved back to Inaba for senior year permanently, and like yeah, sometime within there is when him and Yosuke get together- either I wanna make it sweet or angsty before they get together lol, dunno yet but yeah, gay ppl

Persona 5 Magic Au:

Follows the plot of Persona 5 Royal but, instead of personas, each member is either a monster or has magic. Action focused, with darker themes and violence.

The Phantom Queers:

The Phantom Thieves are all adults, all very queer. Hifumi is a newly out trans woman and Joker introduces her to his Gay Friends to help mentor her on her queer journey. Mostly fluff, talks about some bad stuff, but about accepting who you are

Persona 5 Inaba Au:

Joker has just moved to Inaba and suddenly his ordinary year in a small turn has been turned into a mad search for a murderer. Aka, It's Persona 4, but with the Persona 5 characters. Regular warnings for death and Persona themes, but with some fluffier and lighthearted group moments.

Persona 5 Pirate Au:

A young boy with a ship sets out to gather the greatest pirate crew of all. Their goal? To take down corruption coast to coast, getting back at the corrupt societies that threw them aside. Very actiony, got some more mature themes. But also. Boat.

Niijima Twins Au:

Okay this one's quick to lay out. It's Persona 5 Royal but Akechi Goro is the twin brother of Makoto Niijima. That's it. Changes things. Has the same themes as Persona 5. But. Lots of heavy emotional conversations and unhealthy sibling relationships

Persona 5 Heroes Au:

Too young to be members of the formal hero league, the Phantom Thieves are instead a team of Youth Heroes, their nemesis being a serial killer for. Some reason. Heavy focus on Makoto x Haru. Like. They're the main plot in this one it's a gay au

Persona 5 Age Swap Au:

So the adult confidants are now teens and the teens are the adult confidants. Sojiro got arrested and now has been sent to Tokyo to serve his parole for a year. What adventures will he have? Again, just general Persona type themes

Persona 5 Pokemon Au:

Uhm. Yeah they're all Pokemon Trainers traveling in the same general directions, who all witnessed something that made them all agree to stop corruption in the region. Lighter than the others since it's Pokemon

Persona 4 Tokyo Au:

Yu Narukami has been arrested and now has to spend a year in Tokyo for his parole. However, staying out of trouble is impossible when the Metaverse gets involved. Aka, it's P5 but with the P4 characters. Will be Persona level themes again

Persona 4 Apocalypse Au:

Inaba has been covered in a dense fog, inky shadows lurking around every corner. While the survivors are holed up in Yasogami High, some can't help but feel like they could be doing more. One of the darkest ones on the list. Death and shit. It's an apocalypse au what do you expect?

“Hey Emmet!” Panther greets with a wave

“Ah, if it isn’t the conductor in white,” says Fox, the team’s newest recruit.

The conductor smiles and waves energetically to the thieves in response, but there seems to be a serious edge to his expression.
