eden. megatron(idw) / fem!reader drabble (nsfw!) There was a story you told him, one about disobedience. Megatron watches you on the far end of the bar, deep in conversation with Skids and Swerve, fingers working their way into the pit of a foreign, red fruit.

As your hands were trying to work past the berry's surface, rubbing across the skin — nails ready to pierce the meat — an image of you from last night flooded his processor, breathing ragged and shallow as he dives to kiss you between your thighs, servos dragging along the trembling line of your knees.

A pomegranate, that's what you called it. A strange, alien name for a strange, alien fruit. One you love so dearly. He wonders if it would come apart under your clever ministrations the way you did beneath him, whether it would be as pliant as you were under the silhouette of your shared hab suite — spread open and willing, an invitation to drink. To taste.

He could see you were starting to grow irritated, eyes flickering down to the spill you've made on the table, briefly excusing yourself from the exciting conversation erupting around you. Megatron tried not to smile to himself, somewhat amused. Surely, you would know it takes patience. As all good things come — and you were so good for him last night: You were refraining from begging him to enter you, tired of waiting, already aching from his servos. Yet you kept your composure, save for a few whines, and he was so proud of you. Obedience, after all, was the moral of the story.

Or maybe it was temptation. Megatron thinks you look divine undone, hair mussed and sticking to the side of your flushed cheeks, sweat slicking your neck. It made your body glisten under the faint light seeping in from outside past the thin, seams of the walls. At times, he needed to catch himself from being greedy, from wanting more and more from you. How can he not? You told him it was the taste you couldn't get enough of — pomegranates are rare and sweet, almost unlike anything. He couldn't agree more, still tasting you on his glossa.

Finally, you were successful, and you lapped at your reward — a trail of ruby dripping down your chin as you tilted the shell towards your mouth. Tasting. Drinking. You told him it tasted like summer, your favorite season. Which is maybe why he's so keen on opening you up, like a flower blooming under the solstice sun. And you did, reminding him again of how he was captivated by a flower native to a foreign land. Always so kind, always so giving. Different from his metal, unyielding world. You gave him summer — different and warm.

You meet his gaze. Despite being caught, Megatron couldn't look away. He could sense your relief that the mess you've made hid the shade of red you were turning, cheeks stained as Swerve passed you a wipe, already nagging about the drying blotches of red all over his table. In the story, Eve was tempted — seduced into biting the forbidden fruit. And as your tongue darts to lick the remaining sweetness down your bare arm, he thinks of you as the serpent. Vixen. Teasing.

He clenched his dentas. Megatron's mouth suddenly feels wet, flooding with want.

First of all, I absolutely love smart Percy!! The evidence is right there in the books, and it's such a shame (and frustrating ngl) that so many fans miss it.

Next... yeah I gotta hand it to Percy. I would not have figured out that line (might just be me not understanding or being able to write flirting) - so I lowkey assumed Pluto was being possessive and thought once Percy died he could keep in Percy in his domain at his side forever. But I like the actual meaning better.

Every time I see a story about Hades and Persephone now, my mind starts clawing at the walls and screaming this is not what the story is supposed to be. This is not The Brand. The themeing is not there.

Demeter is not the bad guy, Hades is not the bad guy. If anything, Persephone is the bad guy. But she's not guilty, she's fated. It's a dance of themeing.

If Demeter is the bad guy, you take away the joy of summer and gratitude of spring. If Hades is the bad guy, you destroy the inevitability and softness of death. But Persephone.

The earth does not care if you die. The winter does not care if you slip on ice. The stone does not care if your ankle cracks. The world of circumstance is unkind and unapologetic. It's neither worse than Hades' death nor different; but it's to be feared. It's sudden and violent. It's a terror. The Dread Persephone.

The story of Persephone should be about self-discovery, not victimhood or tragic accidents.

Me, when I see modern retellings of Greek myths that are actually worse than the original---- from woobifying some gods and making them innocent meow meows to demonizing and villainizing others (eg. Demeter and, yes, even Hera), ignoring how they are morally grey and can't just be lumped in with a modern viewpoint at all times, making the goddess and other female figures "girlboss" but also riddled with undertones of misogyny/internalized misogyny and victim blaming (you see this a lot with retellings for Medusa, especially regarding Andromeda because if they aren't making her a girlboss than they hate on her for being a damsel, which isn't even bad, or even make her the "other woman" 😭), or make characters like Perseus the bad guy, even though he was literally sent/went on a dangerous, life threatening quest to save his mother (and himself lowkey) from an abuser and then went to save Andromeda, who he loved even though these retellings try to say otherwise, from death:

In Greek mythology Persephone is a terrifying goddess even more terrifying than hades and is even called "dread Persephone" so that's why I personally headcanon tbosas Persephone as a more two faced person with dark traits for example she would act all sunshine and rainbows but if you got on her nerves she would give you the biggest cold shoulder and look at you with absolute disdain

She also s*** talk most of her classmates and gossip about them and she s*** talked lots of the tributes as well

i love how we all have different interpretations of the characters! they get to live so many lives

i think this is an interesting view of her! i can see the part about her being a gossip. even in my view of her, i think she tends to participate in gossip (how could you not when you’re best friends with liv, vipsania, & arachne?

dark!pippa is fun to explore, i think! i think she would be good at manipulating people and using her looks to her advantage.

Well technically I live in the Fade. And also technically I think House de Riva's official home base is in Salle (based on Teia mentioning Viago going back home to Salle in TN), not Treviso; the Cantori Diamond is House Cantori's base, I'm pretty sure Viago's just crashing there for convenience and to help out with the occupation and because Teia's his girlfriend. But more to the point look at the size of this fucker. I'm pretty sure the Butcher is straight up twice Percy's size and it's making me a little insane.
