I don't know how this has gone as well as it has given neither Lucanis nor Percy had any idea what they were doing. The thing is I feel like Percy is one of those people who regularly forgets to eat and eventually Lucanis figures out a solution, which is inviting Percy to join him in the kitchen when he's cooking (ostensibly to help and keep him company) and getting him to taste-test things. Even before act 2 these two are just hanging out in the kitchen during dinner prep and no one else will come in because it feels like third-wheeling.

What happens in Crow initiations, anyway? I'm sure they are intense and murderous, but I don't think we know anything about what they actually entail. Given the lack of information it's entirely possible the Joining is in fact worse! Okay one more post about Percy cheating at cards. One thing you need to know is that he and Viago do regularly play cards for money even though Viago knows Percy is going to cheat. The game is that if Percy doesn't get caught he gets to keep however much he takes from Viago and if he does get caught his punishment is. honestly mostly Viago being Very Disappointed In Him and lecturing him about how Crows do not get caught cheating at cards.

A thing you need to know about Percy is that he genuinely believes Viago is the best person he knows. He is incredibly wrong but he believes it.

Sometimes I look at all the shit that happens in Veilguard and I imagine Percy in his room staring at the fish just going "I'm not even getting paid for this, what has my life become".

Thought about Percy post-Fade jail more or less holding himself together until the first time he sees Viago after his rescue at which point he immediately with basically no warning breaks down sobbing in Viago's arms and now I will be thinking about that instead of sleeping I think so... that's fun.

Today I can't stop thinking about Viago bringing Percy to the opera. I don't even know if we learn Viago's thoughts on the opera (on the one hand he does like the arts, on the other the opera is loud and full of people), I just love the idea of Viago bringing his emotional support fledgling to the opera to a) encourage a love of the arts in him and b) have someone else to deal with people for him.

Well technically I live in the Fade. And also technically I think House de Riva's official home base is in Salle (based on Teia mentioning Viago going back home to Salle in TN), not Treviso; the Cantori Diamond is House Cantori's base, I'm pretty sure Viago's just crashing there for convenience and to help out with the occupation and because Teia's his girlfriend. But more to the point look at the size of this fucker. I'm pretty sure the Butcher is straight up twice Percy's size and it's making me a little insane.

Actually thinking about it Varric calling Percy Rook because he cheats at cards is so funny. They were playing cards and Varric lost so badly that he decided to openly call Percy a cheat forever. This is also why he tells people it's for the chess piece (even though Percy does not think in straight lines), it'd be really embarrassing to admit that the nickname came from him being a sore loser.
