it's always tough receiving messages like these, since as a reader myself, I know the feeling of patiently waiting for a writer to post - be it meals or crumbs.

yet to be honest, I have no idea what to post anymore. I feel completely rusted in writing - I have the feeling of wanting to post but I can't seem to stop hating everything I write.

It's also been so long since I've read TCF, I'm not sure anything I write now will be relevant. My only comfort is that TCF's community has grown so much since I first started writing, nowadays you'll find plenty of better content out there haha

I, too, hope I post again in the future. I love reading and though I often go through an intense cycle of hatred for my own works, I always come back to writing.

So I do hope I do write and I wonder what I should write nowadays? Do people still read reader inserts?

on the talk of injuries and trauma, we never really see bakugan have lasting injuries in the series, they either seem fully recovered in ball form or they just die. so what if, in the rare cases that they do have lasting injuries, they take effect in ball form as well. perhaps the part that would be an injured limb is either too stiff or too loose, a missing wing is also missing in ball form, scars become scratches in ball form. they never quite come out of their ball form the way they used to, but they can still do it all the same.

What are some rare characters you love that you think people don’t draw or write about enough

Do Max and Dex count I love them and I feel like I'm approximately 80% of the Helix fandom rn lol

Doug Peterson and Russ Frushtick from Law Abiding Citizen - the fandom has gotten real quiet over time but I still love them so much ♥ There's a lot you can read into or leave silly with their dynamic, I still wholeheartedly recommend the emerge, transformed series as one of my favourite interpretations of Russ especially 💕

The Editor from Jazzpunk - he's just a silly little guy! It's honestly such a shame that he's only really in the last chapter, I would love to see him explored more, he's the worst ♪

Tatsumi Souichi from Koisuru Boukun - genuinely one of my all-time favourite characters, and The Only Good Tsundere as far as I'm concerned lol. I'm gonna write about him! I've got my fanfic and video essay sitting in my drafts, but like agh!! He's so interesting!!! So beautifully flawed - he's internally consistent which is my Favourite - and watching him grow and change while still being himself over literal years has been a truly unparalleled experience as a reader 💖

Luke Wigglebig and Florette from Pajama Sam: You Are What You Eat From Your Head To Your Feet - I joked before about being the only person on the internet who ships them but like, I'm pretty sure that's actually true lol. Even just more fanart of them by themselves would make me happy, they're so cute!! Especially Luke, his design is adorable

And then probably a more well-known one but I haven't been following his fandom popularity lately haha, Fai D. Flowrite from Tsubasa - him, Nova, and Watanuki move in and out of being my CLAMP faves, though Fai is probably the most complex of the three of them. And he's a trash man! A garbage fire of a wizard ♥ I love him

It’s interesting to reflect on how my relationship to anthy as a character whom I use to process my own trauma ties in neatly with her in-universe role as the symbolic embodiment of all suffering. Like, I displace my pain onto her and she holds it like she held the swords of hate, but it’s my hope that by weaving myself into the story over and over as she ultimately frees herself again and again each time I rewatch and I experience that release and catharsis through her that I will ultimately be able to cross that threshold and walk through that gate into freedom myself.

I'm at the point of the fic where I've written out all of my good ideas except there's still plot to go, so now I have to come up with more ideas I guess. When will it end?? When will I know peace OTL I'm at 10k. This is going to be what. 20k? 25k? If I'm trudging through this at 50k I'm claiming this as a nano project because I deserve it

But it gets worse though: I need to edit it and fact check it with canon, which I ideally I'd try to do without getting emotional about all the early episodes (literally impossible)
