Hello, what do you think would be the favorite Christmas food of the boys from Eldarya? 🎄
ELDARYA ROUTES’ FAVORITE CHRISTMAS FOODS!
♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: Eldarya routes, individual headcanons, short headcanons. ↝ 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: Christmas food might be the best ever tbh. It has been a little bit difficult to do this since every country has their typical Christmas meals, yet as a proud Spanish and Catalan person imma add some of our typical meals around here hehe.
♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•.
Ezarel: Loves panettone, gingerbread, galets soup (it is usually eaten in catalonia, and damn it is SO freaking delicious), some sort of soup is good for this man. Loves mantecados, polvorones and sweet turrones (suchard mmhg)
Nevra: Roasted potatoes, roast turkey, loves mantecados, honey roasted carrots and parsnips.
Valkyon: Stuffing, green bean casserole (I see this guy enjoying onions a lot ok, even onion salad), seafood soup.
Leiftan: Mashed potatoes, chocolate bonbons, cauliflower gratin, roasted vegetables, honey roasted carrots.
Lance: Roast turkey, green beans, dark chocolate peppermint bark, lasagna, mantecados and polvorones.
Mathieu: Cannelloni, rolls and butter, baked fish, vanilla pudding, apple pie, eggnog, galets soup.
✰; remember to reblog and like to support my content, I hope you enjoyed it!

🎄 "What scent should we get?" You ask, holding up two candles in the middle of the busy market place.
🕊️ "Hm, we already have a lot of candles." Sloan thinks about your inquiry.
🪽 "Let's see... we got apple and pumpkin during fall. We recently got vanilla, fresh laundry and lavender." They begin naming off all your purchases of the season.
⛄️ "If we do get another one... why not mint?" They finally offer their input.
❄️ "Peppermint or spearmint?" You ask.
☕️ "Peppermint! It's the only proper mint for the season!" They tell you.
🍪 They were definitely right about that.
🎁 Peppermint mocha, peppermint candy canes, peppermint cake, peppermint brownies, peppermint bark, peppermint marshmallows, peppermint cookies, peppermint pie–
💫 You name it and it probably came in peppermint flavor, too.
🔔 "Is there anything else we need today?" You look at them, grabbing the bag from the cashier.
🎄 Sloan checks the list the two of you had made before setting out on your market journey.
🕊️ "We already got the grocery shopping done." They state. "I guess it couldn't hurt to hang around here for a little longer!"
🪽 "There's no telling what we'll come home with if we stay, though." You reply.
⛄️ "That's the fun part!" They grin.
❄️ Besides, all the holiday items were now marked half off.
☕️ Nothing wrong with taking advantage of that.
🍪 You both walk arm in arm together for a while while waiting to see if anything caught your attention. Or theirs, for that matter.
🎁 It was nice to spend time with one another regardless. Especially now that the new year was coming up, everything felt extra comfy now.
💫 Part of you wonders if you should buy fireworks– but there probably isn't any store that sells them nearby in the city.
🔔 "Coffee?" They point to a local café.
🎄 "Oh. Sure!" You smile up at them.
🕊️ You hold their hand as you both wait in line.
🪽 The gentle scent of peppermint wafts in the air and trickles into your senses.
⛄️ "What do you want?" They ask.
❄️ You tell them your order. The peppermint smell grows stronger as you approach the barista.
☕️ "Hello!" She greets you two with a bright and smiling face.
🍪 Sloan tells the lady behind the counter your order and grabs a treat to share later.
🎁 Meanwhile, you had found a nice table to rest at while the coffee brews.
💫 They playfully press their cold face to yours and kiss you multiple times, giggles bubbling from your throat that you attempt to keep suppressed in order not to bother the others around you.
🔔 "So cute!" They praise you. "So, so cute!"
🎄 "Stop it!" You playfully push them away with a smile, but they cuddle up right next to you again. "People are watching!"
🕊️ "Order for [Y/N]!" Another barista calls out.
🪽 "Go get the coffee!" You order them. They do as they're told as they sneak one last kiss to your lips.
⛄️ They return shortly with two cups and a warmed up cookie.
❄️ One hand breaks it in half with a nearby napkin, handing you the larger piece as they chomp down into the pastry.
☕️ The flavor of chocolate and mint immediately burst to life on your tongue.
🍪 Your eyes light up as you continue eating away– sipping your equally as delicious drink as warmth gradually returns to your body.
🎁 "Was it good?" They nudge you with a smirk.
💫 You return the expression.
🔔 "Shall we continue?" They hold their hand out for you to take.
🎄 "I think we shall." You happily take it without a second thought.

Today's cereal is Sainsbury's new Christmas offering, Elf Munch Mix.
Initial impressions: Sainsbury's have been known in the past to make some pretty creative Christmas cereals, in particular their 2020 Mince Pie Wheats, which while not particularly good were extremely innovative. Elf Munch Mix is similarly promising, in that though it doesn't look very good, I can't help but respect it. This cereal appears like an enthusiastic child took a multi-pack of small cereal boxes and mixed it into one big, cursed, bowl. Elf Munch Mix is made up of 'strawberry flavored elf hoops, choco pops, mini cornflakes and festive stars', with elf hoops coming out on top for the best name. I'm excited to try this hodgepodge concoction, but am bracing myself for disappointment.
Post bowl thoughts: Last year I collected several different Christmas snacks into one Tupperware for a friend of mine. Most of these snacks were savory, but there was also a thick chunk of homemade peppermint bark. In their short confinement, the peppermint leeched out and tainted every other snack in that Tupperware, destroying them all from within. Peppermint bark-gate was my instant first thought when trying Elf Munch Mix, because the exact same thing has happened. The strawberry has overpowered all previous tastes, making it so that even the individual components when tried alone have the same artificial strawberry flavor. The mini cornflakes hold a slight savoriness within them still, but the inoffensive fake strawberry dominates the palette. Thankfully this is a cereal for the texture enthusiasts and the mix of different pieces in a single spoon gives a chew that truly offers everything. The contrast between the choco pops and mini cornflaks in particular is exceptional, with the latter being thicker and crunchier than a standard cornflake and offering a nice chomp that contrasts with the rest of the cereal nicely. The festive stars are the only element in this mix that are truly forgettable. Honestly, I wish they had taken the opportunity to add in one more flavor. If the stars were for example cinnamon, it would have been a full 10/10 glowing review. As it stands, I think this cereal is kind if heinous, but also fantastic. The mad scientists at the Sainsbury's own brand Christmas cereal factory innovate yet again, without ever stopping to ask first if they should.
