EZAREL

Who brought the idea? You. It was very difficult for him to imagine a little creature created through the both of you, but he really wanted to see what the result would be. A little kid with pointy-ears, your eyes, or your hair… the kid would be so cute! You took advantage of a cozy night under the stars, as you both talked about your future, to bring out the idea of being parents. Ezarel seemed truly vulnerable that night, showing a clear insecurity of not being a good dad and husband enough. You reassured him by saying that if he messed up, you both would mess up together. After all, it would be the first time being parents for both of you!

If he was asked years ago about imagining himself being a father, he’d laugh a lot. But now he was truly considering it and getting information from every single dad of Eldarya to be a good father. He definitely took notes and studied the theory until the only thing left to learn was the practice.

How was the revelation done? It was thanks to Valkyon that he accidentally confessed it to everyone. The elf was seen smiling to his plate, to which Valkyon asked, “are you finally losing your mind?”

Ezarel chuckled proudly, “no, man. I’m finally becoming a father.”

It was so casual he wasn’t believed at first. Not only Valkyon heard it, but also some of the teammates that were around. It was very unbelievable at first since Ezarel was the type of person to make faces or mock kids to make them cry, or to hold his laugh whenever a kid coughed his lungs off.

How many children would you have? Three. The first one was a decision, one you both searched for. The second one was an accident, but he took a liking to this profession of being a father. And the third… well, he requested it himself. Those were two guys and a girl, each one with three years of difference between them. He suggested unserious names to all of them so it was you who decided the names at the end.

Taking care of his babies… with the first baby, Ezarel was truly shy, almost babyphobic. He feared touching them and hurting them by accident. Tthe first time he changed the diaper he almost threw up so that’s definitely your task. He can make them burp, he can dress them, play with them… but he is not seeing or smelling that monstrosity. 

Once, his first son peed on Ezarel’s lap as they were playing and since that time, Ezarel became much more careful with playing with them… he can identify the focused expression babies do when they’re making their needs. 

Plays a lot with them, and will accidentally make them cry from any “magic” trick. He quickly holds the baby and shushes him, kissing their head gently, “hey hey, I’m not trying to give you any trauma here…” he mutters, more stressed himself than what the actual situation is.

Taking care of his infants… He is a very fun dad and definitely plays a lot of roleplay games with his kids in the street. Ezarel’s childishness definitely match the mindset of your kids. Yet he also makes sure to educate them with proper manners. It’s always good to make jokes, play around but respectfully! Always lets them win whenever they are playing hide-and-seek or any other game.

Taking care of his teens… this period is difficult, very difficult. But Ezarel makes it easier to deal with it. Ezarel knew that he needed to set boundaries and help his children to face what the adulthood would be like, since no one is prepared to suddenly be responsible for everything in their lives. It’s a phase of change and lots of revoluted hormones, which means that there will be some arguments sporadically. And more, among your children. Ezarel would be frustrated for things going that way, but he is aware that it will change later. 

Arguments can happen with his children or among them, but Ezarel is aware of that being a part of growing up. He uses his humor to break the ice, but it sometimes goes wrong, seeming like he is mocking his teens. Damn, he doesn’t want them to be depressed because of a joke he made. He gives them space to think and calm down before going to have a deep conversation with them, always aiming to understand their side. Teens tend to not feel understood, so whenever his kids say "You don't understand it!" he always says, “Probably, but what if you were so nice to explain it to me? I cannot help you if I don’t know what the problem is.”

He makes sure his teens know that their words always do matter.

Ezarel is imperfect so he might not have much patience sometimes, also snapping back. But he doesn’t take too long before going to invite the dialogue to fix things.

He wants to be a present father, one that is helpful and reliable. He’ll be a good listener to his children, and a good advisor as well. One of the things he is most proud of is to see them grow and take their paths. He knows that once they are adults, he cannot do much other than giving them advice and support, but won’t interfere in whatever they wanna do. Ezarel wants them to be free to pick, to experience and check the things they like and what not. Sometimes people need to get an impacting consequence for them to know what’s good or not.

NEVRA 

Who brought the idea? You both watched the kids play around in the garden, the sunset making the sky beautifully calming over you. You were resting your head over his shoulder as you enjoyed of the breeze, the joyful laughs of children making you smile warmly. Nevra was quiet as well, enjoying of the whole moment. Then you started by asking, “would you like to be dad someday?”

Nevra considered it. No one is prepared to be a father when it’s your first time, and he feared being a bad father due to his experience with his own parents. But just as he takes his job seriously, he might take the role of a father very serious. He wants to be the father he never had, a father who can raise a happy and free kid. Nevra answered to you that yes, he’d like to be a father one day, even if the idea made him scared. He knows exactly what to not do, and he wants to give your kid everything he didn’t have. Their happiness would be his happiness as well.

How was the revelation done? He organized a dinner with your closest friends. He waited for the dessert time to finally say it, before revealing that the dessert would be a cake you specifically chose for that night. You both stood up in front of everyone and said that you were going to have a kid, which was received with lots of claps and happiness, also tears from Karenn and congratulations to everyone. It was a lovely night.

How many children would you have? One, and it’s enough for him. It was a guy which he treated like a prince. The name would be picked between you both, and the help and opinion from Karenn.

Taking care of his baby… Completely obsessed! How can this tiny creature be so adorable? His heart melts whenever the baby makes any cute sound, making him smile and gently squeeze the baby’s cheeks. He loves carrying them and cleaning them. Sure, changing the diaper is disgusting, and a mess at first, but he can hold the disgust for a while until the baby is completely clean. Definitely auntie Karenn is there to help whenever any of you need a hand.

Taking care of his infant… he is good with kids in general, so his son is definitely lucky. He is attentive to them, always teaching him to say “thank you”, to apologize for bad stuff and good manners! He doesn’t know how to play with them, but he tries. He is like an open book of emotions with his son, always there and showing him his affection.

Taking care of his teen… Well here… Nevra suffered quite a lot during this phase. He was scared of his son rejecting him all of a sudden, or ruining his relationship with his son. Nevra learnt to communicate with patience and delicacy towards him, always being a support for him and helping him out with stuff. During the first argument, he acted worse than he prepared himself to, yet he was quick to get quiet and go for a walk to think about it. He didn't want to stress his son out and less you. No one is born knowing how to be a father, and it was his first time dealing with his son arguing with him.

At night, he talked to you, asking for suggestions about how to make up after that argument. And you both reached the conclusion that having a nice day in family could solve it. Firstly, a good breakfast together, Nevra could apologize to his son during it and spend that day doing activities together. Nevra always made sure that the three of you could be as happy as possible!

VALKYON

Who brought the idea? He once brought the subject to you, being straight to the point about having kids at some point of your lives. You told him that you were scared of having kids, yet he reassured you. Valkyon loves kids. The pregnancy wasn’t really planned, but it was a great surprise for both of you. His paternal instinct always appeared with kids around him, and definitely has gotten baby fever more than once. So when he finally sees his children, he becomes absolutely happy. He even cries from happiness, hugging you and expressing verbally how happy you make him.

How was the revelation done? He didn’t really know how to do it, so lend you the responsibility for it. You organized a meeting with your closest friends, and you were the one confessing it. Everyone expected it at some point! All children loved Valkyon and treated him as a father, reason why Valkyon confessed his desire to be a father at some point of his life.

How many children would you have? Just twins!  The moment you both knew that you’d bring a couple of identical creatures to the world, you both were more than satisfied with it. It’d be chaotic to raise two at the same time, and to difference them… Valkyon holds them with a blanket, looking at them with the greatest smile ever, you’ve never seen him so relaxed, so calm. Taking the role of father is something he had dreamt at least once in his life. The two girls were so cute and tiny on his arms! You’ll pick one name for one of the girls, and he’d pick the name for the other.

Taking care of his babies… Valkyon loves teaching them about the world they were recently introduced to. He plays with them, sings to them any kid songs in dragon language from his childhood and definitely spends most of his time with them and you. Valkyon has no problem in changing their diaper. Of course, it is disgusting, but he can take that. Patience is the word that describes him perfectly. Whenever both girls start crying in the middle of the night, he stands up and goes to comfort them, sometimes falling asleep with them on his arms or lap.

Taking care of his infants… He tells them fictional tales every night, takes part of their games and spoils them a tiny bit (a lot). He allows them to climb him as if he was a tree, as he is pretty tall in comparison to them. He might chuckle at the adorable acts of your girls, staying still and hugging them once they both reach his torso.

Valkyon might be a very soft and peaceful dad, but whenever he sets boundaries, he is firm with them. He might be pretty strict with the sleeping time, making sure they sleep proper hours. And also taking care of their meals so they are constantly eating proper food and not sweets.

He also teaches them to be curious and connect with nature, learning about plants, food, culture…

Taking care of his teens… Valkyon is patient but firm, never letting his girls go into dangerous places alone. He has made himself very trustful between his girls, which will allow you all to have deep conversations and not feel judged by any of you. Valkyon is always there to be a quiet support, since he isn’t very good with words, but he won’t hesitate in acting if someone hurts your girls (and you, of course). He is protective of his family. He will gladly teach them how to protect themselves whenever they are in danger.

It’s a phase in which Valkyon realizes that you both are starting to be less influential in the path your little girls take. You both are a guide for them, but once they both become adults, they might fly like free birds. And Valkyon, no matter how protective he is, he cannot cut their wings. He will support them and always be there to advise them, to help them out of the bad moments.

Arguments weren’t regular at all, but whenever they happened, they were mainly quiet. Whenever the discussion reached a point in which any of you disagreed, the silence appeared and everyone took their time to calm down. Valkyon sets peace in chaos, and he has no fear in being honest with his girls, sometimes a little bit rough. But he wants them to be prepared to face everything life has to offer. He never lets the conversation be forgotten because he knows it is important for parents to care about their children's worries. 

LEIFTAN

Who brought the idea? You both were sitting on the hanging chair on his room, his arms around your waist as you sat comfortably on his lap. He was reading a book which, honestly, you had no idea in which language it was written. He started talking about how cute would it be to have a happy family, to raise a child and teach them how to appreciate the beautiful things in life. You chuckled, looking up at him, “have you ever considered how would our children look?” And Leiftan got slightly flustered, nodding and connecting his eyes with yours.

“Yes, many times,” he’d mumble timidly. Your answer was a simple “me too,” that left him thinking. Even anxious about the chance of creating a family with you. He was excited about the idea but terribly scared of not being prepared enough to take care of another living being. His own care for others’ well-being was already a way of fathering, so he had to take care of his kid just as he took care of you and others, but maybe… with more responsibility for.

How was the revelation done? It was confessed with a lot of pauses, nervousness and even tears. It was expected at some point, since you both were very parent-coded. Leiftan was very loving with kids and whenever you joined him, people thought that you were the parents of any random kid.

How many children would you have? Just one, but it was more than enough for him. Leiftan takes care of the minimum detail and lives for his family (you and the little girl you had). He lets you pick her name, even though he’d prefer if that name had a meaning behind.

Taking care of his baby… Leiftan is the typical dad who sleeps besides the cradle, being very attentive with your girl’s needs. He gets very anxious at first, when he doesn’t know what the baby needs, but he learns fast how to recognize the baby’s cries. And whenever he accidentally makes the baby cry, he starts apologizing and trying to comfort them. “Oh no, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it, dear… are you ok? Please do not cry, my love, don’t cry…”

Nevertheless, Leiftan takes responsibility for everything needed. He is the typical dad to show his baby everything “look! That’s a butterfly. Isn’t it pretty?” as he talks with the softest voice ever. He is such a cutie with his girl.

The moment he heard your little girl say her first words… you both ended up crying together, very happy and cutesy!

Taking care of his infant… He loves to teach his little kid how to read, how to create flower crowns and do other handmade crafts, so your girl can be creative and never get bored! Leiftan gets creative in the kitchen and makes  you both meals with special shapes. 

Leiftan as a dad worries a lot about his little girl, and gets very anxious when she’s far for too long. What if she gets hurt or sick?

He also teaches her a lot about culture, literature and to be curious about the things around her, but always taking care of the dangers.

Taking care of his teen… The biggest challenge. He gets confused with the emotional changes in your girl and never forces anything. Leiftan gets quiet and emotional whenever his girl is mad because of the minimum stuff, and writes tiny letters to her when words aren’t enough: “I’m here if you need to talk. We both know that I am clumsy with words, but I love you more than anything else. Your parents will always be here for you, my sweet.”

Leiftan makes sure that his girl feels loved by you both. And he also makes sure you’re happy and doing fine, not wanting this phase to affect you so much. It’s unavoidable that you three end up hurt after a discussion, but it won’t last too long. In fact, you three would be together the next day, sitting in the garden as each one of you is reading a book in silence. And those times are the ones that you and Leiftan seek for so deeply. It is lovely.

Zhurial ("Origins") — Eldarya NE Headcanons; 🌌🪻

In my headcanons, Nevra truly loves his culture. He values it deeply and feels genuinely offended when someone disrespects it, even unintentionally.

However, if you ask him if he misses living in Yaqut, he says no. Sometimes he feels nostalgic for certain things, like a favorite childhood dish. Nevra thinks the clothing is beautiful, Yaqut itself is magnificent, the food is delicious (it's usually quite spicy, which explains his love for hot food), and some of the traditions and events are fascinating. But overall, Nevra feels free and welcomed in the South.

He says the South gives him a freedom, especially to travel the world, that he could never have in Yaqut. This is one of the reasons he doesn’t miss living in his homeland. There's also the traditional conservatism in Yaqut.

Erika had also developed an affection for Nevra's culture after listening to him talk about it extensively, despite not being familiar with it herself. Some nights, before bedtime, Nevra taught her Qutarian words and phrases, accompanied by symbolic hand gestures, a Yaqutian sign language. He taught her "Nahari," meaning "my angel." Sometimes Nevra called her that.

The gesture involved tracing a delicate curve in the air, as if drawing wings, followed by touching Erika's forehead and tracing a line to her heart, symbolizing the soul-heart connection. Finally, he closed his hands into a shell, indicating possession. This term had a feminine and masculine version; the masculine version was "Naharu," but the signs were identical. Nevra shared popular proverbs:

• "La tahlam niram qabla shurukh" - "Don't count the stars before sunrise." (Don't anticipate problems)

• "Al-nar la yuhriq bila nar" - "Fire doesn't burn without fire." (Passion needs fuel; love needs love)

• "Kahluna tazhary fī al-ghasaq" - "Kahluna blooms in twilight." The purple Kahluna flower, native to Yaqut, blooms in darkness, symbolizing resilience. It thrives in challenging conditions. This proverb uses the flower as a metaphor for love, signifying that love can emerge even in turbulent times, like war.

Erika now understood why Karenn called her that. Her surname, Calluna, was the same flower. On Earth, Calluna meant simply "purple flower," and Erika had no idea it existed in Eldarya.

Nevra often speaks to Érika in his sleep, calling out to her and asking her to stay. He also tends to speak in his native language when irritated, cursing in Qutian or muttering to himself. Sometimes, he and Karenn converse in their native tongue. On missions, when Nevra and Karenn cannot make noise, they communicate through sign language from a distance.

In Yaqut, they wear accessories adorned with green crystals. Nevra wears a collar with the crystal, just like Orgelz. Maora wears a diadem with the crystal, while Karenn has various fragments of the crystal on his collar, cord, and hairpin. This green crystal, according to Yaqutian beliefs, brings protection. These emeralds are a divine gift from Ahrakar, the Guardian God, who protects Yaqut from desert monsters, and the emerald is said to ward off death. The blessed emerald's name is Ta'riz.

Nevra's favorite place in Yaqut was the Oasis of Goddess Nilah, deity of water and fertility. He would often sneak out of class to visit the Oasis with Karenn and his two close friends, Khayuna and Thorvos.

Nevra excels in various subjects, including Mathematics, Geography, and History. His father always pushed him to learn multiple languages. However, Nevra dislikes his Native Language class. He believes Mathematics is superior because it is universal and unchanging; 1 + 1 equals 2 regardless of time or place. Native languages, on the other hand, change over time. The way people communicated in 1500 is not the same as today. This is why Nevra dislikes this subject.

The economy of Yaqut is primarily based on the trade of unique and exotic spices used in cuisine and medicine. Precious metals like gold and copper are also extracted and used in jewelry and currency. Additionally, Yaqut is known for its diverse textile production and beautiful tapestries.

Kellinroe, Nevra's father, was a wealthy and influential figure in Yaqut, serving as a trusted advisor to the clan leader. His vast fortune was built on his lucrative mining ventures, which yielded rich deposits of gold, copper, and precious gems. For centuries, Kellinroe's shrewd business acumen and strategic decision-making enabled him to corner the market on Yaqut's most valuable resources, solidifying his position as one of the clan's most powerful members.

Maora, Nevra's mother, was a woman of exceptional intelligence, elegance, and strategic wit. As the matriarch of the family, she skillfully managed the household and its vast network of alliances, leveraging her charm and diplomatic prowess to maintain the family's social standing. Renowned for her impeccable taste, Maora was the driving force behind Yaqut's most extravagant balls, showcasing her talent for bringing together the clan's elite. Her razor-sharp mind and cunning enabled her to navigate the intricate web of Yaqut's society, ensuring the family's prosperity even after Kellinroe's passing. Some whispered that her sharp mind and cunning surpass even that of her late husband, whose legacy she deftly safeguarded. With grace and poise, Maora navigated the complex politics of Yaqut, securing her family's future through her impeccable judgment and unwavering determination.

How do they react when you wear revealing clothes ft. The Eldarya Boys ♡

Nevra – He loves it. – Bonus point if it's something black. – His favorites are tight dresses/pants that accentuate your hips. – He would be a sucker for low-rise pants. – Now, he does get kind of jealous... but he can't help to smile smugly at those who watch you with desire. – He would be extra possesive since he doesn't want anyone getting any funny ideas. – He would walk with his arm around your waist or suddenly kiss you in a hall full of people. – If that isn't enough to draw back your admirors, then he would leave obvious bite marks in your neck or arms for others to see who you belong to. – Hs thinks you look really sexy with his markings in your skin. – Specially when you're wearing lingerie, a sight that only he gets to see.

Valkyon – He wouldn't be surprised in comparison to others since clothes are just clothes to him. – He thinks you look good no matter what you're wearing. – He does notice that it's a more daring style and that it can draw unwanted attention so he keeps an eye on you. – Sure no one would dare to make a move on his girlfriend but he prefers to stay vigilant. – He does act more touchy than normal, he can't help to touch your naked skin when it's displayed. – He's weak when you're wearing something backless, he adores caressing your back and watching you squirm to his hot touch. – Even so, his favorite is you with nothing on.

Leiftan – He gets flustered and turned on when seeing you like that. – He knows your body well at this point, but still gets kind of shy because of your beautiful features. – His favorites are plunge neck dresses/blouses, he loves a daring cleavege. – He's jealous by nature, so he gets even more jealous because everyone is watching you with dirty intentions. – He will stick to your side not even giving any others the opportunity to approach you. – He doesn't let go of your hand and fills your face of kisses not caring about who's watching. – If you start to feel self-conscious, he will remind you how pretty you look and how bad he wants to have you to himself. – Please, let him make you feel better... in bed.

Mathieu – He's very flustered when seeing you for the first time. – Seeing a more daring side of you makes him so shy. – He will be nervous around you incapable of looking at your face. – His favorites are crop tops and shorts/skirts, he loses it when seeing your belly. – He will even steal glances at you when he thinks you're distracted. – He's another one who gets jealous of others shamelessly eyeing you. – He will follow you like a guard dog. – He just want to protect you of all the possible perverts that could come your way. – He wouldn't mind if you keep wearing stuff like that as long as you're comfortable. – Of course that his ultimate favorite is seeing you in one of his shirts.

Lance – When he sees you, he does a double take thinking he saw wrong. – He didn't know you had clothes like that. – He all in for it, specially since it gives him easier access when touching you. – He's into legs, so he would love when you wear short dresses or skirts that highlight your smooth legs. – Nobody would be dumb enough to try something funny knowing you're his girlfriend, so he doesn't care about prying eyes. – Now, if it makes you uncomfortable... then he would just glare daggers at those degenerates. – And if that isn't enough, then he will need to claim you as his right in front of them so they get the message. – He will keep you in his lap with his arms around you and his lips teasing your neck. – He would ask you to wear something much more revealing just for him to see.

Ezarel – He gets shocked to the core. – It's too early to see you like that. – He's by your side and he remains there the whole day. – He's all giddy thinking you dressed up like that just to get a reaction out of him. – He would ask you to let him choose what you wear next, he has a good idea of what would look even better on you. – He would send dirty looks to anyone who is stealing glances at you. – He's into blouses/shirts that don't cover up your neck. – He's weak for the back of your neck. – He does get flustered when you caught him looking at you. – If you tease him by showing him the lace underwear you're using he will take you to his room no questions ask.

Thank you for showing interest in my headcanons.

I made this compilation with different things from my story that had to do with eldarya specifically (long ass post incoming). Also, I will refrain from saying "in my story" all the time so yeah, everything I will present is part of my own stuff:

First: What is eldarya? Yeah, yeah, a dimension on its own that is tied up with the human world. I also have something like that (it doesn't really have a name, everyone refers to it as "our world" or "the original"). Eldarya is simply another one, but others also call it a "man-made world", as in it's artificial. I got this because we know eldarya basically destroyed itself by colliding with the human world (or at least that's what I remember) and this shouldn't happen to a stable world, a "natural one". So its destruction was inevitable.

The Crown (the castle's governmental association) knew about this world but let it be since it didn't seem like a threat until the while colliding with earth stuff. At that point, they tried to handle things on earth and offered help to eldarya with relocation.

What happened after the destruction of eldarya? Well, they relocate but not in the human world since the government from the "original" world has strict rules when it comes to the interaction between mystical beings and humans. It needs to be very monitored and controlled. So, they ended up living in the "original" world thanks to Helene (the guardian). She was able to communicate to her family from there, and the king (he's basically the most important person in this world, and also the strongest- That's Jay btw) let them stay in the castle and wherever else they can in that world. The "original" is sectioned into kingdoms ruled by lords of different magical beings (ex. vampires, werewolves, mermaids).

Now, let's see where each LI and the company chose to stay particularly:

Nevra stays in the castle. He works here as a military advisor for the king. He has some people under him and seems to do well, though he's as stoic as ever. I made a little drawing of what he would look like. Also, he has a wife (Helene hates her).

Lance probably joined the land of dragons, Dazounada. He feels more comfortable with people like him and feels like he's back at home again.

Mathieu.... don't know, don't care (sorry Marhieu fans). I just didn't focus on him much other than him being a traitor.

Leiftan or Leafy as some (Alan) call him. He's in the castle. I will talk about him more later.

Karenn and Chrome are happily married and live in the caste as well since Karenn wanted to stay close to her brother and Chrome just followed her. They also have a daughter, Nyrinn.

Huang Chu also works in the castle as chief alchemist. She's mostly all work these days and still affected by what happened.

And that's all the notable people I can remember.

Now, Leiftan and his ordeal. Let's talk about what he is first. He's a daemon or demon but... also and an aengel? (this is what I got from the story) But I can assure you, he's an angel, a corrupted one. We know that angels are celestial being and they can look very disturbing... so does he. His human form is just that, a human form, in reality, he looks like the "biblically accurate angel" thing, some weird thing with wings and eyes. And angels are not really born (especially pure ones), they are made. Yes, they can procreate with other species but rarely with another of their kind. They're also neither male nor female so Leiftan chosed to take a human male form (female Leiftan is still possible) and integrated himself in eldarya when he first came there. A really fucked up scenario would be if Leiftan was an entire separate person and something tragic happened to him and this angel came and took his form like a shape-shifter. I personally like this one since Leiftan introduced himself as a lorialet, which could be what the real Leiftan was.

So, I said he's corrupted. I touched a bit in another post about it, but if we are to think, if an angel gets corrupted, they became a demon, right? Well, yes, but also they lose themselves. Demons are creatures controlled by instinct. They're like animals. Also, they form shatters and become this black shadowy deformed thing. But he didn't become that for some reason, meaning that he had enough power to maintain his current form and after he lost his powers, corruption kicked in violently, making him feel sick as hell. Let's be clear, he won't die since he's immortal and an angel, but he will become that shadowy thing and lose everything, his memories, his personality, becoming a husk. And also, him spending a lot of time being a daemon made it a huge part of I'm so if someone were to try to basically extract that whole demonic energy, it will take what made him himself. That's why this healing process needs to be slow, like very slow. Meanwhile, he has to deal with fatigue and weakness. He mostly spends his days in bed or even taking short walks. But he has Helene (they're dating) by his side and also the support of the royal family, which has connections to heaven, where a healer angel (Raphael) does take care of him, making sure to get him better. Will he get fully healed? Yes, of course.

Ezarel didn’t celebrate Valentine's Day. Before his relationship with Y/N, he thought it was a shallow day. In his opinion, a loved one should be shown affection on more than just one particular day. He looked with contempt at couples who competed with each other to see who would give the bigger bouquet to their loved ones. Deep down inside, however, little Ez spoke to him. 

As a child, he looked up to his parents and their relationship with admiration. He remembered well how his parents gave each other small, symbolic objects. Small gestures were the most important. Valentine's Day looked similar, but it had something special about it. Thinking about it, the day of lovers, when he was a little boy and barely tied his own shoelaces, came to his mind. For about a week, Ezarel practically saw his father in general. As the royal alchemist, he had little free time, but he always found a moment to at least tell him about the plants and their properties. The boy was angry with his father for the way he treated him and his mother. He saw that his mother also felt the absence of her husband. However, Valentine's Day surprised him. On that day, he witnessed a scene that was memorable to him. His mother received from his father, a beautiful painting depicting their family. Little Ez then decided that he too would treat his other half this way.  

The period before his first Valentine's Day in a serious relationship was very stressful for him. As a child, he thought a lot about this moment. He remembered his parents telling him to take care of his future partner and put his heart into everything he would do for that person. Now, however, he had no idea what he could arrange. After all, he was just a simple alchemist without much interest. He had once dabbled in a bit of art, thanks to his parents, but that had been in the past. If he gave his beloved a sculpture made by him now, they would probably hide it deep in the closet so that they would not have to look at it. The poem is also out. The only things he can write now are recipes for various potions and alchemical notes. He squirmed with embarrassment at the thought of singing a song he had written. Not everyone has an artistic hand.  

Valentine's Day came before he knew it. From the very morning, he was running around HQ trying to think what he could give his beloved. Time was passing at a dizzying pace for him. The day definitely didn’t bring the expected results. Ezarel had nothing. Almost nothing. Angry at himself and tired, he headed to his lab.

The elf carefully opened a glass case in a separate room that only he had access to. From it, he took out a bouquet of nine red roses. He sighed disappointedly looking at the flowers. Nine roses. "I want to be with you forever." That would have to be the karma that got him for how he used to view couples on lovers' day. Now all he was left with was the hope that his beloved would appreciate the gesture.  

He slowly walked towards his partner's room. He wanted to delay this moment in time as much as possible. They won't like it. They will laugh at him. Intrusive thoughts occupied the elf's head.  

He took a deep breath in and out to calm himself as much as possible. His own heartbeat drummed in his ears. He knocked uncertainly on the door. Silence.  

Valentine's Day occupied his thoughts so much that he unconsciously avoided them. They’re probably angry and won't even accept these dang flowers.

The elf's panic grew by the second.  

- Ezarel, here you are. It's been a while since we last met. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?  

The blue-haired man jumped away from the door he had been standing in front of. He looked surprised at his amused partner. Their eyes were staring at him. Beautiful eyes that he could stare into for hours. The smile on their face made the panic completely disappear. Ezarel walked up to his beloved.

His gaze rested on the flowers.  

- I'm sorry I've been avoiding you. I wanted to organize something for THIS DAY, but I overestimated my abilities. These flowers look ridiculous next to you. They seemed beautiful before, but now that I look at you... - Ezarel lifted his gaze and momentarily melted into his beloved's eyes. - They seem pale. You have dimmed their beauty. I wanted to do something to make this Valentine's Day special, sorry. I brought you roses. Nine red roses are the symbol of eternal love. I decided to finally use my skills as a GREAT alchemist. These roses will never wilt. You understand, eternal love and the eternal roses that symbolize it... You are a very special person. I still wonder how it happened that you chose me. I'm a lucky man.

Ezarel was convinced that he was now as red as a peony. He felt like a teenager in love who can't see the world outside his loved one.  

He grunted and handed the flowers to his partner with confidence.  

- You are about to have a wonderful and unforgettable date with the wonderful, smartest, most handsome, funniest and best elf alchemist. So...will you be my Valentine?

EZAREL

You were used to hearing his lazy groans early in the morning as he didn’t want to leave the bed. He was much more comfortable in the warmth of your arms rather than forcing himself to pay attention to Miiko’s words in the next meeting.

As he prepared himself for work, you decided to sit on the bed and read to kill the time.

“Well, babe, I’m leaving.” Ezarel came closer to you, placing both of his hands over your knees to hold his support and lean in to take your lips in a short yet affectionate kiss. “Love you.” His voice holds such a softness that would make your heart melt.

“Alright, have fun..” You muttered still quite sleepy, not being conscious about your lack of response. He didn’t realize at first.

At first…

When he was about to touch the doorknob he realized that you did indeed not say it back. He turned around and looked at you, crossing his arms right over his chest.

“Babe.” He says with a serious tone, staring at you.

“What’s wrong?” You ask with a casual tone, looking back at him. You could see how his face was basically a >:(.

“That’s what I should ask you.” He says, approaching once again at you. “You didn’t say ‘I love you too’.” 

The way he had a grumpy and pouty face made you laugh in amusement. He was offended, betrayed, mad, hurt… Not seriously though, but it was the most casual habit for him to hear you say it back to suddenly not. You cupped his cheeks and pulled in for a little kiss just as before, pressing your lips a little bit longer and saying, “I love you too, dear. Happy?"

Ezarel’s face changes automatically from a frown to a relaxed expression, happy even. “Yes, that's better. See you later, pretty one.” And then he leaves happily to work.

NEVRA

It was typical to have cuddling sessions with Nevra before going to sleep. That was the most common way for him to relax after a long day; to feel your warmth and presence to release all his stress.

His caresses go from the upper part of your back to the lowest, and then again. The typical night talk was making your eyes heavy and he couldn’t help but notice how you felt that way. Resting would be good for both of you so he didn’t complain.

“Good night, sweetheart. I love you.” He whispers, giving little kisses filled with warmth to your cheeks. You hummed, with no response. Oh, and that’s a mistake with Nevra. He kisses you again on the cheek, this time staying longer. “Good night, sweetheart. I love you.” 

When he repeated it with more emphasis you laughed at him, nodding your head but letting him continue.

It can turn into a loop of constant “I love you”’s until you answer back. And he has got all the patience and time in the world. It is up to you to reciprocate. 

“I said that I love you..” Nevra keeps kissing your cheek, but pressing his lips longer before separating them and saying the same again.

“Now… you’ve said that a couple of times.” You said with amusement, opening your eyes to see his little pout.

“Well, you didn’t.” His voice sounds softer than usual, making you melt slightly, “don’t you love me back?”

Your laugh made him relax, knowing that there was nothing wrong. “Of course I love you too. I love you a lot, in fact.” You reassured him with that loving smile of yours, infecting him with a warm expression.

“Now it can be a good night.” He says in a calm tone, kissing your forehead and closing his eyes with the intention of finally resting.

VALKYON

You were assigned to a mission and you were waiting for Valkyon to finish forging your weapon. He was a little bit grumpy about the fact of not being able to go with you. He was worried sick about you getting hurt somehow.

“Please, make sure to check your surroundings at least four times.” He repeated, his gaze focused on a dagger he was preparing specially for you. 

“You’re worrying too much, Valky.” You hugged him from behind, hoping to give him a little bit of support to cease the negative thoughts. “We’ve been through worse things.”

Valkyon sighed and leaned towards you, whispering a “I love you” which you didn’t answer to. You had this little game in which you were hard to play sometimes, and he knew you weren’t saying it back just to see his reaction. 

He looks up at you like 🤨

How do you honestly dare to do this to him? He stares at you silently, waiting for you to say it back.

It was too funny for you the way he looked at you with a raised eyebrow, not working anymore in the weapon and simply focusing on you. You still didn’t answer, looking back at him. 

“Is… everything alright?” He pronounces slowly, caressing your arm and expecting you to stop with the joke. Valkyon was the type to be observant, so he knew that nothing was wrong, you were just being playful.

You emitted a little chuckle, feeling how his muscles relaxed under your touch, “of course yes, I love you too.”

Then he continued working, more relieved now that he has gotten an answer.

LEIFTAN

Oh my God, don’t do that to this poor baby. 

He has a gentle heart and soul, so it makes him overthink when he feels that things aren’t going as good as they could be. Even if you are busy, whenever he sees you in the corridors you both tend to say a quick I love you and then go to your places. 

One day you were so rushed that you didn’t even have time to tell him that you loved him back. Leiftan overthought about it and spent the day quite unmotivated due to that.

His work switch was slow, torturous with his thoughts and his expression of :C

The day was long for you too, and when you reached your bedroom, he was right in front of the door, walking in circles and wondering a lot of things. When you saw him he quickly approached you and asked with a small tone, “Babe, did I do something wrong?”

You tilted your head confused, searching for a reason why he’d ask that. “Not at all, why are you asking?” You were indeed worried now, holding his hands to calm him down.

“Later, when I saw you in the dining hall, you didn’t answer me.” Leiftan wasn’t the type to be whiny, but you certainly could hear a whiny tone in his voice. It was adorable, heart-melting.

“Ah, Leiftan…” you sighed, pulling him into a gentle embrace, “you caught me in a stressful moment. But you know I love you very much, right?”

If Leiftan had a tail, now he’d be wagging it happily non-stop.

LANCE

More or less, he reacts just as his brother. Though he demands an answer because how could you disrespect his heart like that?

He came back from his switch. He saw you resting on the couch and busy with any of your hobbies. Lance approached silently from behind and kissed your head, muttering a tired “I love you” and sitting beside you.

You acted as if you were ignoring him, knowing he’d be like a grumpy offended grandpa. You kept focusing on the activity you were currently doing, and you could hear him clearing his throat a couple of times.

“Baby,” he wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him, “it isn’t very polite to ignore others’..” His low tone makes you shiver a little. A nervous giggle escapes your throat.

“I’m not ignoring you, I heard you.” You looked at him, almost sat on his lap. 

“And what are you going to answer?” He hinted, pinching your sides to tickle you somehow, trying to get the answer from being playful with you. You squirmed, giggling once again. 

“What should I say?” you teased back, wrapping your arm around his shoulders. “That I love you?” He nods, keeping his eyes on you. 

“Exactly.” He raises an eyebrow. “So… I love you.” He repeated this time, expecting you to answer back

You’d be attacked with kisses if you kept teasing him. Lance wouldn’t doubt in pulling you into a making out session to take those words out from you. Once he hears you say it back he has the most smug and stupid smirk on his face.

MATHIEU

Another softie just like Leiftan, but he’d immediately react if he saw you not answering back. 

He was saying goodbye, giving you the last kisses before he went to his guard. His clingy ass didn’t allow him to get away without being satisfied enough with his affection.

“Stay safe, yes, darling? I love you so so so muuuch..” He repeats for the tenth time, giving one last kiss before separating and pretending to walk away. Though he stops his walking, turning around and looking at you with a worried expression.

You didn’t say it back… did he do something?

“Mmm, what’s in your mind?” Mathieu placed his hands on his hips, looking at you, confused.

“Nothing. I just want to be at peace.” You said calmly, seeing how his lips got pouty. He kneels in front of you, caressing your knees gently. 

“Are you alright? Do you want me to give you space? I mean… you didn’t say it back.” His worry raised, making you feel a little bit sad for pulling the joke for him. Mathieu was the kindest guy you’ve ever had in your life, and he didn’t deserve to get a joke like that one.

“Everything’s alright.” You said quickly so his thoughts wouldn’t get more negative, “I was pranking you to see how you’d react.” The smile in your lips made him relax, his laugh being nervous and confused. “I love you too, don’t ever doubt that. Stay safe as well, Mat.” 

And with a kiss on his forehead he felt completely blessed to have you as his partner.

Even if he knows running away doesn't help.... it's the only thing he knows, and he's afraid to be stuck in a corner while his past strikes back.... just like Marie-Anne did. And, as an alchemist, he's always a bit worried that his potion doesn't work.

Valkyon: Valkyon is a real protector strong... His fear is simple: not be strong enough to protect his loved ones. And Valkyon doesn't like larges spaces... he rather be in smaller places

Lance: Lance is claustrophobic! Always a light in his room to feel better... Always in places big enough to not feel restrained ! And he's afraid... to not doing enough for his crimes... Always asking if he honores Valkyon's sacrifice enough or if il they're more to do.

Leiftan: Leiftan is afraid... of the dark, just like Lance... he has a little light in the room... And he's afraid to be seeing ad a monster he was once...
