there's a right-wing knockoff of Bluey called Chip Chilla. nothing is sacred in this world. Conservatives always complain about cartoons "not being for kids" (read: having LGBTQ+ representation), but Chip Chilla isn't for kids either - it's only for pearl-clutching moral guardians who want to feel good about the shows their children watch.

It's like how that doll line, Lammily, wasn't actually targeted towards kids or doll collectors -- it was only for parents and Buzzfeed bloggers who wanted a "wholesome" alternative to Barbie. Lammily faded into obscurity while Barbie is still going strong, so I don't think we have to worry about Chip Chilla replacing Bluey. Also, Rob Schneider is in it...gross

“Jenna! Get off the cart! Your hair is in the way and you’re too heavy!” Aliyah groaned, pushing the shopping cart that had some cilantro, avocado, cereal, and some peppa pig action figure.

“I just think you haven’t worked out your arms.”

“Are you calling my arms big?”

“Are you calling me big?” Jenna laughed, rolling her eyes as she got off the cart, just to jump back on it again.

“Jenna Marie Ortega!”  

Aliyah eventually gave up, pushing the cart with the tiny brown-eyed girl in it as she walked to the produce section.

The short Ortega reached from the cart and grabbed a few kiwis and raspberries, letting it rest on her lap as she held it with her hands.

As the cart rolled and traveled along the store, Jenna’s eyes fell upon your figure as she was being rolled, your side profile struggling to reach up for snacks on the higher shelf. Your hair tucked behind your ear with hoop earrings on. Aliyah turned another corner before Jenna reached out to grasp her hand.

“Stop,” she says softly, her eyes not looking at her sister at all, sidetracked to the snack section, pointing. 

Aliyah groaned again, “We just bought snacks five minutes ago, why are we back here?-”

“Shh..”

Aliyah pushed the cart and she could see the way your hair slowly swept with the push of the cart. Jenna found it adorable seeing the way you made small grunts reaching up.

She didn’t want to seem weird, but it seemed as if fate tied you two together. It felt awkward to admit that she's heard of invisible string. She just saw you standing there and somehow she could admire the way you were on your tippy toes.

As you reached and made small squeaks of annoyance, you heard her voice behind you, “Do you want me to help you?”

You stopped reaching as you turned, “Please.”

Jenna smiled, and now she was just realizing she was 2 inches shorter than you. She got an idea as Aliyah held her steady on the cart, standing on the part babies were supposed to sit on as she reached for your candy, (it was sour patch kids.) 

She felt like her arm was stretching out, determined to at least impress you as she finally grasped onto the sour patch kids. 

“Aliyah, okay I’m do- Aliyah! What are you doing!”

Her sister was distracted from grabbing some freeze dried strawberries, completely forgetting about how her sister was on top of the cart as Jenna yelled at her, “Oh shoot!”

The shopping cart began to shake as Jenna lost balance, her front smacking onto the cabinets as the snacks began to fall from the sky.

The candies fell like dominos one by one, as she lost more balance and began to fall, she could see the way you were trying to catch everything that fell. You caught it one by one with swift hands and throwing it back neatly onto the shelf as you made sure she didn’t get hurt when she fell.

Her back smacked against your figure, making a small "oomph" sound as you made a small cry of surprise, your head basically hitting the floor, snacks falling down as you began to laugh. You were squished with her body on top of you, panting lightly.

Aliyah was staring at you two, seeing the way how the aisle was basically not even an aisle anymore, her mouth open.

“Jesus.”

The small brunette untangled herself from you, the candy still in her hand as she placed it in yours. You three were picking up everything that fell, Aliyah snorting in laughter, your belly shaking from laughing.

“I think I have to pay for a new shelf," Jenna grumbled embarrassingly.

You giggled, brushing your shoulders, “I think I need to get to know you.”

“Jenna,” She smiled, writing numbers quickling onto a scrap.

“Y/N,” you smiled at her, “Thanks for the sour patch I owe you.”

Jenna scoffed playfully, “Thanks for being a cushion before I fell, could’ve busted my head open.”

The brown eyed girl handed you her number as you laughed, putting it in your pocket, “That’ll make up for it.” you said, giving her a sweet smile, putting back the last dropped item on the ground, giving her a small wave as you walked away.

Jenna looked at you as you walked away, a dreamy sigh escaping her lips as she covered her mouth immediately as she heard an annoyed groan.

“Ohh, so that’s why..” Aliyah said, giving Jenna a look asking her if she was actually serious.

“Shut ‘p.”

“Don’t tell me to be quiet, you almost killed that girl because you were too busy adoring her and not thinking when you thought you’d be her knight and shining armor. You almost cracked your skull!”

“But I didn’t! And I think I got something even better in exchange,” she added, looking down at her bracelet, a small crumpled piece of paper saying

you made my day faster than anyone else did and usually that’s really rare, thanks for giving me a laugh that I actually didn’t know i needed. i appreciate it and love to get to know you more.

💛☀️ Habits that help me in recovery ☀️💛

I watch a comfort show when I eat (The Big Bang Theory) or a kid's show (Peppa Pig, Bluey). It gets my mind off the food and the calories and it takes me back to simpler times 🎀

I keep my food in seperate containers or take off the labels. So I can't check the calories anymore. I put them away immediately after I bought them 🧸

After my grocery run, I immediately wash and cut my veggies and fruits. That way I have something healthy to snack on when I feel like it. Fruits and veggies are easier for me than sweets and candy sometimes 🪩

When I feel stressed or under pressure, I go for a run. It clears my head and I feel better about eating. I don't restrict myself anymore 🏵️

When I feel bad about my body, I draw on it with pens or water color. That helps me see that my body is indeed art 🪅

I practice self care, do my nails, skincare, take relaxing showers, journal, create pretty diary pages on canva, do my make up or do my hair and listen to some girlhood music (Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Anne Marie, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez,...) 🌱

I really have a lot of feelings with the Shengyang x Chen Shuo AU pairing. They are so perfect together!

• There is something about the similarities between shengyang & yibo in the way that they look at the person they care about the most that gets me. it’s this whole “puppy” devotion they got going on. an innocent kind of love.

the kind where you look at the person’s reaction first when something happens, you wanna see them happy before you enjoy what’s in front of you. even if they don’t talk, you carefully observe their body language cause you wanna figure out how to help them and show them that you’re on their side. ☀️

• In a BTS released by One & Only, they showed some wardrobe and looks for Chen Shuo. This one is him wearing a black helmet instead of red. Did you see the peppa pig sticker? and i can’t make out the other one. What a coincidence, considering the CQL crew’s “history” with peppa pig 😂😂😂

• Not really CPN, but to archive this incident where cpfs commented WYB photos on ZZ’s douyin post. This reminds me of that 95 post on weibo, where it was all cpf, then 🍤 of course did the most to “erase” that. but that comment section has so many interactions. I’m 50/50 on this, I think it’s unnecessary to do it, knowing full well that it will “provoke” a fan war and i personally don’t want that. The other half of me tho is cackling cause cpfs surely know how to troll. My fave tho are photo comments of cute fandom dolls 🥺🥺🥺

Oksana x Mommy (Eve) soft headcanons:

on long car rides, eve always packs plenty of toys, activities, coloring books, and snacks for oksana, but oksana usually falls asleep within the first 15 mins. also oksana sits in the back seat bc she's "too small" to sit in the front.

when eve is desperate for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, she takes oksana to the local coffee shop. eve gets a large black coffee and oksana gets a small hot chocolate. they split a pastry and oksana always gets the bigger half.

oksana insists on painting eve's nails. she chooses 10 different colors. some are sparkly, some are super bright, none of them are painted well. eve goes into work the next day and is slightly embarrassed when she gets "compliments" about her manicure, but loves the constant reminder of her little girl.

oksana has to get her yearly flu shot but eve doesn't tell her until about 2 mins until it happens. she hangs onto her mommy for dear life at the little poke and only cries a little bit. the nice nurse gives her a peppa pig band aid and let's her choose a frozen sticker. eve is so proud of her brave baby.

eve is sleepy on a saturday afternoon but oksana is full of energy! she lays on the couch and falls asleep while oksana drives cars along her back, builds with her duplos, and then plays with her barbies. (eve's back makes a perfect Dream House)

konstantin becomes penpals with oksana. every week they send each other letters or drawings. eve takes oksana to the post office every tuesday to drop off her little drawings and pick out a cute stamp. sometimes konstantin sends $1-$5 and oksana stashes it away to use at the toy store or to buy candy.

Backstage Interviews & Commentaries

Nicholas and Livio are backstage explaining the lore about the vials:

Nicholas answers, "Okay, so basically they are made of candy glass, which is a mix of corn syrup, water and, of course, sugar." He turns to Livio, who continues.

"Yes, usually they use it for making those big-ass glass windows and stuff, so you can throw yourself through without, you know, slicing yourself to death."

They all laugh, and Nicholas says, "Didn't know they could make such tiny li'l things until they showed those to me."

Livio adds, "I was glad I didn't have to use those."

"Why?" Nicholas asks. "They're so cool!"

Livio scrunches his nose. "Because it just looks like you're chugging Smurf juice."

Nai walks over, having overheard just outside the frame, and says, "Still managed to cut myself on the sugar window." He shows the Peppa Pig band-aid on the back of his hand.

Nicolas laughs. "Cause you fuckin' belly flopped it, bro!"

Nai scoffs, "I did not!"

Vash was passing by and stops to hook his still green-sleeved arm around Nai's neck and smooches him on the cheek, chirping, "Oh, yeah you did, big boy."

Nai sighs, flopping his head to the side in exasperation, "Yeah... I did."

Livio reaches over from his seat and pats Nai on his butt, "It was glorious."

Nicholas takes Nai's injured hand with reverence. "And so flippin' hilarious. I laughed harder than when I saw you trying to use the weird door handle that time with your claw props still on."

Nai exhaled. "That was last week... And you are a horrible person."
