I learned today that someone stole art from my very dear friend. They copied it almost exactly and did not give her any credit or ask for permission to copy her idea.

As an artist and a writer I've had my work taken multiple times and it isn't fun. It's literally the most crushing feeling in the world. Like all the hours you put into creating something was worth absolutely nothing. And to be honest, when these things happen I always wonder, "What's the point?" It makes me want to just delete all of my accounts and disappear from social media. Because people do this so shamelessly and then try to blame you. Like you're the one overreacting. It isn't fair.

It's truly disgusting behavior. It makes it hard for us artists to gain the courage to post our art online. If you are an artist and you are inspired by someone else's art, there's no shame in asking them for permission. Seriously, if someone asks me, 9 times out of 10 I will say yes. It's messed up to go behind someone's back and claim it as their own.

This happened today to my friend @matsukaah. I'm sure many of you know her, she's truly amazing. And I hope you know that Matsu. I know this is discouraging and the way that person responded to you was absolutely awful, you don't deserve to be disrespected like that.

Just know that we are all here for you and we support you and everything you create.

I'm not going to say the person's name that did this, because I don't want to cause a manhunt or make more drama out of the situation. Even though they showed zero remorse after being confronted nicely and only reacted in an ugly and selfish manner. I hope they learn from the situation and do not repeat this behavior.

It's funny because I've had this person blocked for months. So I can't say I'm surprised this happened. If you want to know who this person is to block them for yourself you can send me a dm. But even though they've acted so terribly, please don't send them any hateful messages. I don't want to endorse that.

Anyway, sorry for the random rant. This situation just made me so angry that I had to say something. Especially because this happened to my close friend. I hope you're ok Matsu, if you want to talk about it you can call me sometime and we can talk. 🫂♡

So i just learned that in transformers Rise of the beasts, they based Optimus' face under his battle mask off of Peter Cullen (aka THE VOICE OF OPTIMUS PRIME SINCE 1984)

And from what I'm aware, they only publicly released that they made that design choice AFTER trailers released and people were saying Optimus' design was terrible and ugly, which is so disrespectful

And I'm gonna cry about this ajdjdj

While also on this topic, I am sick of being told "bayverse sucks!!!" Or some other equivalent when people talk about the bayverse movies

Because Optimus was voiced IN EVERY ONE OF THOSE FILMS by Peter Cullen, so that's just,,, don't disrespect who MADE YOUR FANDOM WHAT IT IS (give him credit for how well he did everything at least, you don't HAVE to like bayverse, no one is forcing you)

Transformers fans (mostly newer ones/ones who have gotten into the fandom in the past three to four years, I've noticed) are the vast majority of those who are CONSTANTLY bashing designs.

It's been done with bayverse (YEARS after the films released and did FANTASTICALLY), it's happened to Earthspark, and now to ROTB. This is bullshit and so disrespectful. You can criticize a design without being a dick, for one, and two? The animators didn't ask your god damn opinion.

And ALSO the reason they did his model after his face in rotb? Because *Hasbro wouldn't hire Peter Cullen this time around so (I assume) they did it to honour him because he was disrespected and tossed to the side by Hasbro because Hasbro sucks ass

He's the reason we HAVE OPTIMUS PRIME. Not a single voice could've fit, not a single person would've made Optimus who he is other than Peter Cullen.

He's the reason we have transformers prime. (Because he VOICES OPTIMUS HERE TOO) And the TFP movie (TFP beast hunters predacons rising, where he ONCE AGAIN VOICES OPTIMUS). And he's the reason why we have the continuation of that, which is transformers robots in disguise (WHERE HE IS, ONCE AGAIN, OPTIMUS MOTHERFUCKING PRIME) And then THAT became comics with tfp's characters that didn't exist anywhere else in canon (as far as I'm aware, it's been a while, IE knockout and breakout with their TFP DESIGNS, etc) then became earthspark later down the line, which was a mix of mtmte, TFP, and bayverse designs in concept art bc it combined ideas

Bayverse is ALSO ALSO the reason we HAVE ROTB. AND BUMBLEBEE 2018.

The reason I say he's responsible for all of these? The reason I say that Bayverse is a backbone for transformers (branching off from G1 ofc)? Because every single new fucking continuity or series or comics or whatever the hell is ALWAYS based on preexisting designs merging with new ideas.

He made Optimus Prime who Optimus Prime is and frankly I am a little god damn sick of people saying "this series/movie is bad" or whatever just because they don't like it

Anyways I had to rant but I'm not sorry about it and I hope others can feel a bit heard because I am so fed up with online slander.

I grew up with Bayverse. It gave me my entire start to this fandom. It gave THOUSANDS OF US STARTS TO THIS FANDOM. It is the SOLE reason we have so much we have now, as much as we have- and god damnit, you don't have to like it but UNDERSTAND it is the ONLY reason you have more than 3/4 the content this fandom currently does (if not more)

At this point idc if I'm being annoying but any time I see fanart being reposted on tumblr and people don't notice and reblog I send an anon telling them it's against the artist's wishes to repost their work (if that's the case and usually it is the case)(and these reposters never give credit and are such assholes when you tell them to take it down).

And the thing is, so many people don't really notice? Especially if the repost starts gaining notes?

Idk if it's laziness, not caring or something else but it's weird to me that this is so common, I personally almost always notice if op's name is different from the watermark and that sends sirens blasting in my brain to check the blog before interacting.

After doing this so often the whole "I don't support people who disrespects artists by not listening to them when they say don't reblog!" seems extremely performative, it's sad.

I don't want to be that person, but I blame tiktok fully for this, very rarely will you see somebody give credit there and with it's popularity and constant migration of masses online, the bad habits people get on tiktok get transferred to other places (being inappropriate to actors where they can see it, reposting anything without permission, bullying and sexually harassing people to mention a few).

There was finally some progress towards listening to artists, we're back to square one. Sorry for the long rant but I needed to get it off my chest.

if you block a person numerous times and they keep making accounts to message you, i'm pretty sure that is harassment.

I talked to my friends and family about it, and they were really worried for me. Surprisingly, I'm actually not that bothered by it.

I linked the plagiarism definition and the law because accusing someone of plagiarism is a serious accusation. I looked it up, and it is not plagiarism, to show they are wrong in that aspect. Spreading misinformation and lies to defame my character is a serious offense. If I wanted to, I could probably sue this person for slander, but I don't want to. I think they are just misguided.

i didn't think i'd have to give a point by point analysis, but okay :S (spoilers for games ahead)

Doom Stones takes inspiration from Makoto Mobius, they both have a time traveling aspect to save someone. However, Yuuka is trying to save her best friend (boyfriend cough cough) that she saw die in front of her. It turns out she's actually not going back in time. It was a simulation orchestrated by her classmate who is infatuated with her to break her morale. The characters have bonds/histories with each other. Yuuka breaks out, and she grows and learns to accept losing someone close to her.

Makoto Mobius was about saving a girl the MC had a crush on, only to be used as a sacrifice by Makoto's friend. The MC was not related to Makoto at all, and Makoto does not acknowledge him in the end, or they just stay in the time loop.

They have similar story moments, but overall are different. But you have to actually look.

Love Letter is based off Mikoto Nikki (I said this already). They are both about house exploration of a beloved classmate with a hidden secret. However, Mia isn't friends with Mikio. She's a lowkey yandere that broke into his fancy and rich mansion and reads his notes, books, journals and letters. (She even goes through his trash and stuff… lol). Mikio turned on his family and staged their suicide out of the country and changed his identity. After that, he had been stalking Mia. The story is about Mia having her obsessive crush turn on her, and her reaction to it. She either sees him as a murderer, or its an unhealthy yandere x yandere thing. In the true end she learns details of his abuse and decides to help him not be a yandere. She can even escape, which you can't in Mikoto. Also Mikio doesn't kill her, he just kidnap.

Mikoto Nikki was about the MC going on a scavenger hunt with the diary entries Mikoto put around the small house. They were already dating, and Mikoto kept her tortured parents in the closet before they died. It turned out his girlfriend was a yangire. It has a similar 'accept her or no,' but dealing with the corpses in the house is not addressed, and we found out later in another game MC left her.

The plots are similar, but I already said its kind of like a retelling. I never said it was totally original or anything. It's literally just retelling with different parts.

by this person's logic, charon would be copying/plagiarizing red riding hood and other fairy tales, since they use the same story and characters. i think it's fine, but this person would think otherwise with their flawed reasoning.

Also i notice this person doesn't even address my other two games (Akeno Delusion and Carousel), because those were uninspired plots just with the similar art style. It's clear the person has tunnel vision when it comes to this stuff. They like to jump to conclusions without thinking.

They even said they understand me being inspired by artstyle, so why can't you do the same with story? It has enough differences to not being a replica.

If you see it for what it is, just a fan game with inspiration, and not malicious, it really isn't that bad. They are just projecting hateful/harmful notions onto me.

also, about the mikio thing, that was a coincidence that they share names. I used a random generator website (i got lazy XD) and I picked one at random. I realized later that they have the same name and I just thought it was a cute reference. It makes no sense to claim Mikio in Makoto is the same as Mikio in Love Letter. They're different characters and do different things in their respective stories. I didn't base him off her.

Even then, characters from different animes share names all the time.

Also, if you saw the entire game, you would know Mikio is not even his real name. It really shows how much research this user did about my work…

So this user spreads lies and misinformation, and the research is not that good. They don't look at the game plot, the game itself, the characters, or even read everything I have to say. They just make assumptions and try to cancel. It's like the wendigoon situation, honestly.

I dunno, I just think there's nothing wrong with it. My work changes all the time, so it really isn't a big deal to me. Like I said in my last drama post, people draw inspiration from each other all the time. Danganronpa has fan games too, but are they copying danganronpa? No, not really.

So I will stand my ground and not take down anything. I don't think I did anything bad, and its not illegal. Bullying doesn't work on me.

It was clear this person doesn't read my posts all the way. They don't try to look at my work, or see the bigger picture. Their judgment is clouded, so I don't have much left to say to them. They can hate me, but spreading misinformation and lying about me is a waste of time.

PSA from a fandom con photographer

As some of you know, I'm a con photographer. A while back, a bunch of us joined a group chat together, and we talk about all things cons and photography in there. Recently, the subject of photo theft has come up again, but this time a new comment was made and that's why I'm here.

In the past, I've heard photographers express frustration about people reposting our photos with watermarks cropped out or otherwise removed. Sometimes, these photos are edited further and someone else's watermark slapped on top of it. This is disrespectful, at best, and really offends the original photographer. Usually, this is done in an effort to gain clout online, and not for any artistic reasons. This is not what I'm here to talk about.

I know that a lot of folks on Tumblr use con photos for fic headers and aesthetics and such, especially for RPF fics. (Because we can totally tell whether a photo is Jensen or Dean, even with the background edited out, he's just that good.) It's come to my attention that some photographers would be REALLY uncomfortable with their art being used this way. They don't read fic, they don't understand it, or they just don't want their art used in a way that misinterprets the moment captured in the photo, even if it's fiction.

We need to respect this.

How do we feel when someone reblogs our fics and uses it to prop up an argument about our characters that we disagree with? We feel kinda shitty. That's how photographers feel when their photos are used in ways they weren't consulted about.

How do we fix this?

When you search Google and find an image from a con, do a reverse lookup on that image and AT LEAST TRY to find the original photographer. If the photo has been taken in the last year or so, you can come to me and see if I know who took it, too.

Ask that photographer if they are okay with you using their image in the way you intend. I know this is a pain, but remember how you'd feel if someone used your art without asking permission!

Many times, if you ask, the answer will be yes. Sometimes, it may be no. Please respect the answer you receive.

If you honestly try and can't find the photographer, then at least put a comment captioning this on the post where you use the photo. If you make a good faith effort and express this in your caption, that at least lets us know that you tried.

Personal note from me: If you like any of my photos, you are welcome to use them. I know I don't make the best photos in the fandom, so this isn't much, but it's there.

Also, "credit to Google" or "I found this on Google" is not credit. Google does not create images. Google only indexes them.

Just remember that there is a person behind every image and piece of art you find on Google.

Also, if you don't contact the artist/photographer, how does that person know that you liked their work? They don't. This is the same as if someone reads your fic but doesn't hit the heart or reblog it. Personally, I LOVE getting asked about my photos the same way I love hearing feedback on my fics. Let your photographer know you love their work!

I've been asked about screen grabs and gifs. I'm referencing just those photos taken by people at cons. Screengrabs and gifs also take talent to create, so if you can find out who made them and give them credit, that's awesome. Photos taken from the star's Twitter or IG....that's a good question. Credit would go to them, but they are impossible to ask if they mind. An argument could also be made that they know what might happen to any photo they put out there. (Maybe put a link to the original as credit?)

It was only recently that I saw someone comment about their photo being used to apply a narrative to Jensen based on his facial expression in the photo, and a brief mention of fic happened right after that, and I just got the feeling that certain photographers would not be pleased to know how we use their photos, sometimes.

As far as I know, no photographer has found their photo in a fic header and complained. But based on what was said, if they did, they might not be happy. And not just because most photos used in a fic header end up being further edited to make it work with the header, beyond cropping. For instance, an asexual photographer might feel icky about their photo being used as a header for a smut fic.

TL;DR - Credit your photographers in your headers, edits, and mood boards when at all possible. Make the effort to contact them and ask for permission. Some may give you blanket permission as I have. Some may not. Either way, this is their art that you're manipulating, so please respect it.

Hey did you get my pms? Hope you're well today

Hey there! So…I've been told by several of you lovely readers that you really appreciate how I'm always really kind to all of you and really understanding. And I try really hard to be kind, to make this a happy, peaceful, fun blog for you guys. And I'm really sorry for anyone I'm going to disappoint here because I'm not going to be as nice as I normally am.

I have received your direct messages. I was sleeping because it was late at night when they came in Thursday night. So I wasn't able to read them until Friday morning before work. I then worked a full shift, as I do have a job that takes up quite a bit of my time, so I wasn't able to answer right away and honestly, I needed to take some time and think about how I wanted to reply to them because of things I'll cover later on. This came into my account around the time I was eating an early-ish supper on Saturday, so the messages hadn't even been sitting unanswered for very long, to be honest. As said, I work a job, volunteer with Mental Health, have to sleep and eat, have regular therapy appointments, have friends in real life I try to see in person or reply to their texts with some regularity (even though sometimes it can take me days or even a week to even answer friends texts) so I don't have as much online time available and what time I have online is largely spent lately writing the actual requests and posts for the blog (mostly in advance, and then finding the time to proof and then post them), clearing my inbox and draft folders. I've been honest and upfront always on this blog that I'm very much trash on replying to private messages and that it does take me a while to find the extra time, and social battery as I am an introvert and sometimes just can't find it in me to want to talk to people directly, to want to message back. On top of that, I had five other people waiting for replies to their direct messages to me that I hadn't replied to either at that point, now four of them, and some of their messages have honestly been sitting there for over a week. I am working on answering people back, but please respect the fact that it can take time and, maybe because of my neurodivergence, but reminders that the direct messages are there and hey, answer them because someone is waiting make me feel really pressured and stressed and definitely not eager to reply or talk to a person.

Now, since you brought this into a publicly answerable space by coming into the inbox, and because honestly, I've been really struggling with how to respond to your messages, I'm going to respond publicly, because most of it I would like to share with everyone who reads this blog. I mean no active disrespect to you by doing so, and will apologize in advance if you take it that way. Below is the private messages sent to me.

First, I do want to say, I do see the compliments in the message. I really appreciate them, they're very kind words, I appreciate the time you took to write them and the fact that reading my posts inspires you to write as well. Thank you very much for every compliment written.

Now, we'll tackle the answers, and things I did want to say, not only to this person but to everyone, step by step. I'm really glad that this person, and many of the others who read my stuff, do see the amount of effort I put into each and every one of my posts. Especially with the AU's, for most of them I really do take at least a day or two, sometimes longer, to really think them out, build up the worlds, figure out how the characters would really translate to this newly built up world, how they'd interact with each other in it, how their relationships in canon can be translated over. For some AU's, I do go and do research to build the actual world…going to use the most recently posted AU here, the mall AU with Eyeshield 21. As mentioned in that post, I went and actually pulled up maps of a mall to consider all the potential stores and since Deimon was really the focus and I set them working at a Cabela's like store, I was like…I know I've been in a Cabela's but how are the stores laid out again, what are all the different sections in a Cabela's and not only did I go look on their website but I phoned a friend I'd been meaning to hang out with anyway and was like 'shopping date? Only thing I ask for stores is that we stop by a Cabela's and you don't make fun of the fact that I'm not going to buy anything, just want to walk the store haha'. With the AU's, the match-up's, the headcanon requests, I'll sometimes even get stuck on whether an idea in my head really matches up with the character and does truly feel right, so I either go watch clips of the character or research, see what trivia I can dig up to either double-check what I already know, or see if I missed anything. So you are right in that, yeah, there is a lot of effort put into my posts and my writing. And I am so, so, SO happy and not at all bothered by putting in that amount of effort. Writing these posts, coming up with the ideas, spinning everything out, it is fun for me, it is something I enjoy, so please don't think that I am complaining about that, just wanting to explain why I'm going to go the direction I am in this reply.

Plain out blanket rule on this blog - if you see something on here you love and you come up with story ideas, with additional headcanons, with something you want to write, draw, do anything creative with? Please, please feel free to do so and to share those things publicly if you are comfortable. I do ask that you give me or my post credit for inspiration, because that would be the polite thing to do and tagging me in it so I can see what you did and geek out and love up on it would make me very happy, but I will be able to shrug it off if you don't, with the only exception to this being The Ever Young, where I do demand credit at the very least because that is at least a year, if not more, of solid world building and character building on my side.

Honestly, even though the AU's and even some of the headcanon posts have given me serious story ideas and I would love to, and plan on, finding the time and creative energy to properly write them out, the fact of the matter is that as writers, based on that one idea, both me and someone else can write it as a story and our stories are honestly probably going to be drastically different, because we'll have different ideas, different views of characters and relationships, different styles and tones to our writing. And I get being inspired by others - I've never made it a secret that the delinquent!Shouhei fic I write and post on here is inspired by some absolutely brilliant and inspiring headcanons shoheiakagi (if you're a fan of K and not following them, please click the link and check them out because they are wonderful and I personally really love their blog and how they help keep the K fandom so alive and active) wrote on their blog and that without those, the fic wouldn't exist.

This particular person though? I'm not sure I love the idea of you taking my ideas and running with them for one very important reason, and maybe it's really mean and petty of me, but it's the reason text on that screengrab of the messages is highlighted. Please make no mistake - what I do on this blog, the headcanons, the AU's, the match-up…everything, really. This is all very, very VERY much writing, just as much so as writing fic. I've written, in my storied fandom career (which started on Quizilla, way back in 2002 guys, yes I am the cryptkeeper), short fic, long fic, roleplaying posts - both as an original character and as canon characters, comfort letters to people from their favourite characters, quizzes, choose your own adventure stories, and what you see posted on this blog and my former one polycanons. And I can absolutely guarantee you that they are all forms of writing, that they all can be extremely time-consuming and hard to write in their own ways, that they all take effort and creativity. To reduce what I do on this blog into 'not exactly writing'…to be honest, I struggled with whether to even answer the messages and how to do so because I do accept my neurodivergence means I might overreact to things at times and I wanted to give my brain time and space to really think on what you sent to see if I was potentially overreacting. But honestly, it's now Sunday, three days after the messages were sent and while I would have liked a little more time to process and think about this, this person seems to want a more immediate answer so… I might be overreacting and I might be being petty, but I am also stating my truth when I say that the way that was worded came off to me as so incredibly dismissive of my hard work on my posts and a little disrespectful of me as an actual writer, to the point where it really invalidated any compliments you did give.

Honestly, while I love each and every single one of you, my constant, lovely readers, and will terribly miss you (my heart will, honestly, ache a little over the loss and I will carry you lovelies in my heart and wish you well) I will ask, as I'm asking this person, that if you really honestly and truly hold the opinion that what I do here on the blog is 'not exactly writing', if you can't even give me that baseline of respect, then please unfollow me and please do not use the ideas that I, as a writer, come up with.

Concerning my earlier post, reposting is when someone creates a post comprised of someone else's original creations without permission: that's never okay, whether you "give credit" or not. Reaction gifs are different. Adding a reaction gif to someone else's post is totally fine! It's part of the language of Tumblr, and the internet as a whole. Some of the greatest posts on this site are what they are because of the additional images and comments made as the post circulated. (Some of you are hiding absolute gold in your tags; please consider adding those thoughts as comments so that people can see them!)

When Tumblr added the gif search function back in 2015, many people understood what that was intended for and used that function to search for reaction gifs to add to existing posts. However, others used that function as a way to find gifs they liked, create an original post comprised solely of other people's work, and then claim that it was okay because at least they were "giving credit" ("yeah i took your stuff but at least i told everyone who i stole it from...").

Reposting is theft. Reposting removes the creator from their work and seriously damages the changes of others finding the creator. I've seen reposted work with thousands of notes, and brilliant comments and tags the original creator should have seen and enjoyed, but they didn't because someone stole that from them. I don't know a single semi-notable gifmaker on this site who hasn't experienced that and it is so disheartening. Reblogging, on the other hand, is wonderful and is what makes this site functional.

If someone asks you not to repost something they made, take it down without an argument. Telling someone they should expect other people to take their stuff if they post it online is like telling someone they should expect other people to steal their car if they park it outside of their garage. Of course it is a possibility, but we shouldn't expect or tolerate that kind of behavior. It is incredibly selfish to feel entitled to take anything you like. We should try to be respectful toward each other.

Learning the ins and outs of different social media platforms takes time, and I remember being in those shoes back in 2012 when I first stumbled onto Tumblr. I'm definitely willing to grant leeway if someone is unfamiliar with the etiquette of this goofy site. But I've also had plenty of far less pleasant interactions with reposters, almost always users who are fully aware of Tumblr etiquette (and basic common courtesy), but who chose to ignore it anyway. I have zero patience for that kind of disrespect toward myself or other creators. So, again, if I see anyone reposting my gifs, artwork, or creations OR someone else's gifs, artwork, or creations, I will block them immediately! You take my stuff and I block your access to the rest of it. So never repost. Reblog the original.

Something I started doing after being rejected for jobs or projects or interships I thought I was perfect for is asking. Why did I not make the cut? What skills/education/experience/attitude did you expect from me but I did not have? What can I improve to be considered in the future? In a subtle and polite way, of course.

Some people just brush it off and give some generic answer. But by doing this I was also given good insights about issues I would have never even consider at all about me or about the position.

Also, you probably know this already, but in my experience, after having some "dream jobs" in fashion... Very often the Dream Job is just some well packed lie, and they just hire the people that can match the idea they are building, regardless of their actual worth. Don't desperate. You're intelligent. Sometimes the fashion industry/world does not see any value in that, even if they want it to look like they do.

Ah yeah this is good advice and when I am able to ask I always do. Most of the time there isn’t a rejection email just a deadline you will be responded to by if you get it. This last email is encrypted so you can’t send a reply but I was thinking of trying to reach out to Jess personally. There was only 1 situation so far in which I was responded to for feedback. And to be honest I do know that it’s about lack of experience but I graduated into a pandemic and I’m still applying to entry level jobs, but I need entry level job experience to get the entry level job. It’s Catch 22.

I even ran my own magazine for 3 years and developed skills as an editor, wrote newsletters, opened an online shop, collaborated with galleries and publishers and interviewed artists and I talk all of this up in my applications but I think because it was my own project and not an established one it’s looked down on. But it was the only way for me to get that initial experience. I think it shows initiative but it’s still not good enough. I closed my magazine because I couldn’t handle the burnout doing it on top of working to pay bills.

This job isn’t in the fashion industry, it’s for a feminist press and the rejection email was for a writing development programme. So it’s all arts and writing industry but all creative industries are the same. I know that job won’t be a real “dream job” but it isn’t retail which I’ve been trapped in all my life. It’s just another slim chance off of this retail treadmill that’s facing a brick wall that I’m stuck on. I don’t care if I’m bullied or paid shit or disrespected there - at least I will be able to put some valuable and creditable experience on my CV. I’m considering cold calling and offering to volunteer at publishing and press offices at this point just to be able to get some experience and a reference.

Stopping pursuing my college degree

I have done school for two 6 month terms, and the classes are only getting more intensive (for example, learning Excel spreadsheets). Every day my happiness and comfort is drained from the dread of forcing myself to pursue a degree I don't really want, in a format that is exceptionally difficult for me (online school with distant instructors).

I'm committed not to discontinue the pursuit of my degree with a sense of failure, and to embrace my feelings of relief and interest in pursuing a dog training certification and potentially grooming also.

I accept my life doesn't support me going through these courses right now, and maybe not ever- It's possible too that online school simply isn't for me, and that I learn best in other ways. I've always thrived with hands-on learning, or being taught directly by a person I trust and can ask questions and get instant feedback from. I thrive in environments with classmates, colleagues and peers I can learn together with and really feel like I'm a part of a community.

I have earned credits I can do something with in the future if I choose to go to another college, which is nice to keep in mind.

I have been getting a degree in Business Administration because I want to operate or co-operate a business. I was driven to the idea of college in the first place out of fear that I didn't know what career I wanted to pursue and wanted to have a sense of employment security, and being weighed down by immense toxic shame and trauma, and suicidal thoughts I chose online college as a step to give myself hope and a sense of security fo my future in the face of the unknowns. I simply had in my head that I could never be homeless again, or reliant on relatives again, or financially dependent in a disrespectful relationship again.

I am thinking, as I learn more about my advantages and disadvantages, take my preferences seriously, and approach myself with empathy, compassion, and hope, that I'm proud of myself for having the courage to even start taking my college courses a year ago as an act of self protection, responsibility, self confidence, and protecting my mental health and hope. That's pretty cool. And that's what is always necessary in life - having the courage to pursue something, anything, in order to get more information to have an informed understanding of the thing. I did that and learned that online school doesn't work for my learning style, and in the meantime was able to work with dogs and realize I want to be certified as a dog trainer.

Everything I need to own my own business I can learn through courses that support people to do so.

I don't need a degree to have confidence or know-how; the key is self compassion, continuing to practice optimism, learning how to stand up for myself and communicate simply and true to me, so that I can be more in control of my destiny. This is the perspective through which I will carve out a stable, healthy, rewarding life path that can be full of pride and doing things I enjoy. These are the attitudes through which I will find the environments where I can breathe, learn and be supported, genuinely support others, and be excited about what I am doing, and where the challenges are bearable, rewarding, and I'm intrinsically motivated to go for it, because I actually like it!

I can always return to school in the future, or to a different school which is more compatible with my learning style (in person, with people, hands-on, etc).

I have options - to learn business administration skills through individual classes, reading books, workshops etc or through hiring people, and just learning from fellow people; and to get certified in things that will make me very employable and which I have a natural inclination in like dog training and grooming.

I don't need to try to earn a huge salary. I can pool money together someday with my chosen family in order to purchase land, form a land trust, and build a home. And I can buy a house or rent in the meantime during however many decades it takes.

I want to help be a part of the revolution to work with and not against our natural preferences, advantages and disadvantages, in order to find compatible environments, people, and lifestyles. Life is to be enjoyed and soaked up, not to be rushed through in pursuit of mere survival.

For now, I'll be working for Amazon to pay my bills, work on budgeting, prioritize fun, relaxation and optimism, and find opportunities to pursue dog training in my spare time. That sounds much more like "me", and makes me feel excited to be a part of life.

I understand why it bothered you and also that you have assumed so many things about me, I just wanted to explain a little better why I believe this.

First, I am someone who was in a group of toxic people who they had several suicide attempts (I already cut ties with them), and more than once they threatened me with suicide and that their death would be my fault, and I can tell you that it is an incredible horrible experience, and that even doesn't mean that I haven't lost someone whether to suicide or illness or accident nor is it the first time I have seen a scam.

Death and suicide shouldn´t be used to manipulate someone, no matter the circumstances.

Second, if I am able to talk about this and question it, it is because I don´t know Shay, I am not their friend or acquaintance, and their death or suicide isn´t mine, and for me it is important to know a person before mourning them, because what you are mourning isn´t the deceased, but a fantasy in your head, and that is the worst thing you can do to a dead person who has only left their memory in this world.

I have read the entire document, and it is basically full of holes that they expect you to believe because "it would be too disrespectful to question its veracity."

In my opinion it is 10 times worse to let yourself be fooled by these things, because it means that you have started to mourn a stranger on the internet who doesn't even exist and make you feel bad for nothing, and in the case that they exist, maybe they aren't even dead because it is an identity false, and if in the worst case there really was a death, we only have this document as the reason for the death and we don't know if they are using it for their perverse motives.

To begin with, it is suspicious that @snakeswithhands is an account created in January 2024 solely to post this document and then delete the tweet.

Neither the author of the document gives her identity or Shay's identity, and I am not asking that they give their address or credit card, but things that prove that they aren't a false identity created a couple of months ago.

Just giving Shay's accounts or Shay's old tweets or that Shay's old online friends verify Shay existence is enough for me, but they don't say anything and just assume that you believe their "we respect privacy" and don't question anything.

All the images that appear can be edited or photoshopped or even created by a single person and two accounts (Including the email images), hence asking for more evidence to verify their existence.

For a doc that starts "This isn't Viv's fault," oddly all of Shay's messages are about "I've given a lot of money to Viv," "Why is Viv allowing this?", "I've been used by Viv," and they barely mention the harassment and cyberbullying that was supposedly the reason for their suicide, and they also don't give the accounts of those who harassed Shay, only Viv's account is available in the entire document, how convenient, right?

The only thing I agree with this document and with you is that the fandom is toxic and there are many who are willing to harass or scam just to get attention, and until they give me proof, I fear this is a scam with very bad taste.

Then goes on to say its 2 individuals doing this stalking and they we the viewer doesn't need to know them, Official_TVC has done a lot of research on them and we should should trust Official & their word without evidence because apparently they retweeted something on twitter & it was a tumblr post thats supposedly exposed Vivienne's siblings, personal things ect. All this is hearsay by you, it shouldn't make the average viewer trust your word. Yes I've seen things but that was from posts I've seen.

Aside -honestly Official should be questioning the anon asks we get on here, some of the asks contain some questionable info like how do you get that info. People get asks on here containing info, people don't go out & hunt all Vivienne's private life, we receive stuff thats how things come to light, OTHER PEOPLE SEND US STUFF.

What I want the world to understand is that other sides of the American government are aware of the wrong corruption law enforcement behavior, and they are working on kicking them out of power. ATTENTION: This is some recent information about the current events with Chris Chan that I've been able to find, plus additional information that I couldn't find anything on that is now public knowledge.

Again, OBLIGATORY trigger warning: This post will be going into very sensitive subject matter, including r@p3, s3xual assault, elder abuse, and inc3st. I will also be mentioning the site Kîwî F@rm$ and the person who runs it (Null). DON'T go onto Kîwî F@rm$. Just stay away from there. It's like 4chan (another site full of REALLY fucked up shit, depending on which forum you go to), but worse.

If anything I mentioned is triggering for you or makes you otherwise uncomfortable in any way, you don't have to read this post. It's not worth putting yourself in a bad state mentally. Take care of yourself, please. Consume media that sparks joy for you.

ALRIGHTY, LET'S GET TO IT. Because there's quite a lot of bullshit that happened since the first post I made about the current events. And some more information that will most likely be the nail in the coffin for Chris. I'm patiently waiting for more updates as they come and I'll share them here as soon as possible.

The person Chris was in a call with was revealed to be a troll under the name "Bella". The screenshots of messages and the audio from the call have all been confirmed to be real.

It's also been revealed that Chris confided in Null about her having a girlfriend, having s3x with her, all that. Here's a list of things to describe this "girlfriend" below, which I will compare to Barbara in bold:

This woman is "in her over fifties". (Barbara is eighty years old. Most people would assume that someone's in their late fifties when this terminology is used. Eighty is well over fifty.)

Her favorite person was the late Adam West in the 60s, as it was "for her son back then". (I don't know if Chris is referring to her half-brother Cole Smithey [he does movie reviews, and he's most famous for being one of the only people to give Toy Story 3 a negative review] here, or if she's referring to herself before she came out as trans. I'm adding this here anyway.)

Chris has known this woman "for a long time", offline and in-person. (OBVIOUSLY she's known Barbara her whole life, since she's, AGAIN, HER MOTHER! DUH.)

They've been having s3x "every three nights". (Like how Chris admitted to doing to her defenseless mother. PRETTY FUCKING FISHY, IF YOU ASK ME.)

They began having s3x on June 27th. (The same day that Chris admitted to doing to Barbara.)

This woman was an accountant when she was younger. (Barbara's job was EXACTLY this.)

Chris said she feels grateful to "enlighten" her girlfriend with s3x play that she (the woman) "missed from even her exes". (I didn't mention this in my initial post, but if you chose to watch the videos that were linked, Chris mentioned that Barbara's boyfriends and ex-husbands "have never been able to make her 0rg@$m" like Chris did. SHE EVEN MENTIONED HER LATE FATHER. THAT'S FUCKING DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL.)

Chris has been "keeping her girlfriend safe" too. (She had been "taking care of Barbara" since Bob, her late father, passed away. This right here is proof alone that she was talking about HER MOM!)

Her girlfriend "didn't want to do it at first", it was "very painful" for Chris's girlfriend in the beginning, and it took a few tries for them "to get going". This included Chris doing it FOR her because she thought her girlfriend would "feel better" due to her lack of mobility and lucidity. (Chris said all of this exact stuff TO "BELLA" during their call.)

Null initially thought that Chris was lying about sleeping with her mother to cover up the fact that she had a girlfriend and having s3x with her. Why? Because apparently people would believe Chris would have s3x with her mother than some other unknown woman. Chris told Null to keep her girlfriend's identity secret because she was afraid her girlfriend would get trolled and she'd end up losing her.

What Null realized was that what Chris told him completely matched the description of Barbara. Note that before he looked into this, he was unaware of the context Chris was giving him about her "girlfriend".

It's extremely possible now that Chris admitted to s3xually assaulting Barbara to Null and "Bella", but she wanted Null to keep it confidential. Chris wanted NULL to keep the fact that she admitted to committing a VERY serious crime A SECRET.

If Chris WAS actually lying, she'd use a lot more CWCisms (her own phrases) or say that she was "using her psychic powers" to have s3x with Barbara's fictional counterpart in another dimension. But no, Chris was VERY straightforward and talked about it casually like if you were to talk about the weather.

Chris, according to Null, slept in a parking lot in her car the other night. At least for a few hours, though I don't remember where the FUCK else she slept (maybe a hotel room eventually), considering she had -$200 in her bank account. I believe some people who are in contact with Chris sent her some money to get food too.

Null revealed that he set up a GoFundMe previously for Chris to attend a Brony convention, which was a test to see how Chris would be able to handle commissions. The GFM was successful, to say the least. Chris fulfilled commissions successfully, DESPITE NOT WORKING ON THE FUCKING COMIC. Y'KNOW, THE THING SHE'S PAID FOR ON PATREON TO DO!

Well, due to recent events, he has since taken down the GFM and is refunding all the money to all the donors. He was debating on sending Chris money (the GFM money, since Chris isn't able to go to the Brony convention), but he decided not to do so. He told Chris to sleep in her car, spend the night under the stars, and reflect on her current situation until the morning, when Null would help her find a temporary roof over her head until August 5th.

Barbara tightly manages Chris's finances. Those are Null's words, not mine. You want to know why Barbara's been having trouble with the house and shit? CHRIS HAS BEEN STEALING MONEY FROM HER FOR YEARS. HER CREDIT IS ALL SORTS OF FUCKED, SHE'S BURIED IN DEBT, AND IT'S CHRIS'S FAULT. THE PERSON WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE TAKING CARE OF HER.

How did we find out about Chris recently getting more money, specifically $750? Well, Null has had access to Chris's emails for the past few years (Chris knows this), and he found an email that Barbara had sent Chris money.

That's a violation of the EPO (Emergency Protective Order) that was put into affect for Barbara. Chris was NOT supposed to contact Barbara in ANY way, shape or form.

Null asked Chris about this and told her that this was a violation of the EPO. He asked her if her mom sent her money. Chris denied it at first, and then went into the whole goddess bullshit she goes into. She then admitted to accessing Barbara's banking account online and wiring the $750 to HER account. Chris also said that she'd pay her back the $750 after receiving the $1000 that Null was supposed to send to Chris. Null was obviously upset with what Chris had done. Who wouldn't be?

Guess what Null did in reaction to what Chris told him? HE BLOCKED CHRIS AND REPORTED HER TO THE POLICE. I'm honestly surprised he stuck with her this long. He genuinely wanted to see Chris become a better person.

It's only a matter of time for Chris's arrest. With all this information that's out there now, more information probably coming very soon, plus people close to Chris confirming all of this....I feel it's safe for me to say that Chris did s3xually assault her mother.

I don't feel bad for Chris anymore. I have no sympathy for Chris. Any ounce of respect for this person has been long since gone. I don't feel comfortable even referring to Chris as a person. She's a monster.

I talked about Chris a few times a few years ago on Instagram, and I got yelled at for tearing this motherfucker apart. Because apparently I was an "ableist bully" for having my grievances with Chris, despite the fact that I'm autistic too and I've never "bullied" Chris for being autistic. Not even once. My grievances had more to do with Chris using her mother and their animals to exploit them for her own monetary gain INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FIND A JOB. I've even tried to suggest that she go work through a temporary work industry and get paid daily. (At that time, I didn't know that trying to interact with Chris wasn't a very good idea. I've since learned, obviously.)

OP I am so sorry you are continually being disrespected like this.

Your posts about this keep appearing on my dash and I am honestly astounded that they won't leave you alone.

Artists wanting to protect the things they've lovingly crafted is NOT and never will be gatekeeping.

Anyone can learn to draw, to write, to sing, and more with the most basic of materials. You can find free lessons and tutorials online. You don't need the highest quality materials to make something people will appreciate. Making art is something you should do for You.

Nobody starts out creating masterpieces.

I went to art school and I still think my work is garbage. In all honesty? My work is garbage compared to some of my peers and the competition I face in the industry. On top of that, art school doesn't magically make you better. You don't go to an (overpriced and overrated but I digress) institution for four years and come out the other slide making top tier work. You have to practice. Nobody who is any good got to where they are without practice. Yes, I feel like my work is garbage, but will that stop me?

No.

Being an artist is a lifetime of learning, adapting, and changing.

If someone is shitting on you for making "bad art" then that says something about the other person, not you.

Nothing feels as good as looking through my old work, laughing at my old work, and giving myself credit for learning and improving throughout the years. I fondly look back on the work I've made because I've gotten better. I relish in the memories I have being thirteen and making the edgiest characters.

I am the only one who can make the work that I do. Everyone has something unique about their style. Nobody is perfect and that's okay. That's good.

We need individuality. Everything in our world now is mechanized. We have tiny supercomputers in our pockets. Cars are automatic. There are things that need Wifi when it's completely unnecessary.

Writing, drawing, and music are some of the few things we have left that are human. We learn from observing the natural world around us. We learn from studying the old masters, who did the very same. Making art is something so incredibly human and beautiful.

I don't draw, paint, or write because I want money. In fact, I've probably signed myself up for a life of living paycheck to paycheck because artists are so routinely taken advantage of. I do it because it's fun. Challenging myself and learning new skills is amazing, no matter how frustrating it is. I love painting, as irritating as it can be sometimes. I love that I was able to make friends as a teenager based on the crappy fanart I made because even though it wasn't high quality, someone still appreciated the thought and time I put into creating the content.

Art is intertwined with our existence as humans. It's everywhere. The clothes you wear; someone designed that. The house you live in; someone designed that and the furniture inside. The ads you see on billboards and on the side of cereal boxes; a graphic designer made that. The tune in your head? A person made that. Every part of a television show is art; The actors bringing characters to life, makeup artists and costume designers who visually bring characters to life, prop designers who create the sets, scriptwriters who create the stories, cinematographers who know how to frame the camera, and so many more I can't name.

AI "art" has no soul. AI can never replicate the intricate way people think and it operates on code. It's stiff, it's wrong. Organic flow can only come from humans because we are not perfect. There is beauty in inconsistency. Accidents happen when you're happening and sometimes it leads to better things.

It frustrates me to no end that I have to figure out whether someone spent time on something or if they had a machine whip it up in an instance. I hate that I have to figure that out. And people can tell.

Even voice actors aren't safe. There have been several VA's who have stepped forward and said they are uncomfortable with their roles being used to feed sound generators. One voice actress, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, even shut down all of her social media because of it. I am so tired of the AI voice covers of songs using the voices of cartoon characters because it is disrespectful.

AI is disrespectful to artists of all kind, living or dead. It's robbing us of jobs and attempting to fill the industry with uncanny husks with no thought or reason other than a string of numbers and word prompts.

I'm sorry if this was incredibly incoherent, but all of this is to say my blog is NOT an AI safe space.

You can pick up a pencil and draw on the shittiest grade of paper. You can pick up a pen and write a story. They don't have to be good. Rome wasn't built in a day -- The Mona Lisa took years to make and it's one of the most iconic paintings in history.

Trying to expedite the process only shows that you're in it for the validation of others and not from the personal love you have for something. It's like talking to someone to sleep with them and ghosting them after you finally do.

Study. Learn. And make work for yourself.

Entering prompts into a machine is not showing love and support for the person who thought of the concept or made the work.

It's theft.

Why are you feeling so concerned about AI? It has the ability to generate comments, stories, and fan art. That eliminates the need to convince artists to create them so no one is left out. Why wouldn't that be a good thing? All it's taking away is the gatekeeping.

Because it's stripping humanity from the act of creation. AI doesn't create art or writing or anything else. It's not creating anything new. It's just stealing from art that already exists. Learning new skills isn't gatekeeping. Interacting with other people is the whole point of existing. I genuinely don't know how to explain this anymore. There's just— why would you take the most human act and automate it? The gulf of despair these asks have opened in me is unprecedented in the course of my admittedly brief creative life and I don't know how to explain anymore why it's wrong. I just don't.

So I've noticed recently that there have been a lot of fics being stolen in the Five x Reader tag lately. This is the second time this week and it's INFURIATING!

The first time was someone stealing a fic by @anapocalypseinmymind. Now one of my good friends on here @fiveisnumber1 has also gotten their fic stolen by user @pinkieumbrella. This is APPALLING!

As a creative, a person should understand the toil and emotional labor that goes into crafting a beautiful fic. To steal from someone else is so ethically wrong. Just because something exists in a freely accessible online community space doesn't give you the right to plagiarize it!

Changing a few words, a few settings, a few circumstances and copying the rest of a piece of work word for word without credit IS plagiarism. It's not "creating something new" of however the hell you want to justify it to yourself. Do you even realize how much time and effort and energy goes into producing an original work of art? A writer fights themselves over the tiniest details to get their work to perfection before publishing it! Writing is a piece of yourself that you willingly share and fic writing is the same thing done for FREE!

I know for a fact how much fiveisnumber1 works on her fic. She has created her own version of the TUA universe and has crafted it so meticulously over MONTHS in an effort to make it its own entity while respecting the original source material! It's heartbreaking to see her so sad because someone stole their work! To taint a writer's labor of love in such a way is so disrespectful! It's downright VIOLATING! A writer puts a piece of themself into every work they create! In every sentence, in every word! You can't just rip it off and claim ownership! That's VILE and DISGUSTING!

If you're going to steal another person's work, then one writer to another: DON'T WRITE AT ALL! Fandom spaces are better off without your intellectual theft and toxic energy.

Write fic because fandom is a free space. Write fic because you CAN. I am a genuine believer that everyone is able to write with practice and that there is no such thing as "bad" writing to be embarrassed about. @pinkieumbrella I specifically remember I encouraged you to write after you posted your first chapter because I love supporting new writers. But stealing? That is definitely something to be ashamed of. I'm sorry I or anyone else encouraged you if this is your or anyone else's definition of "writing".

It doesn't make you a writer to steal someone else's ideas, make a small change here and there, and claim it as your own. It doesn't make you a writer to spoil someone else's effort and hurt their soul because they kindly shared their time and energy to tell us all a story for our entertainment which they had NO. OBLIGATION. TO. DO.

This goes for all writers who have recently plagiarized fics in this Fandom!

If you're ashamed, you should apologize and take responsibility for this instead of denying it. And I hope you all are ashamed because this is not okay. Write fic! This is by no means an attempt to tell you to stop, but write your OWN fic! Stop stealing from another writer! If you're only gonna do that then don't write and just enjoy reading fics because by stealing you're ruining the experience for everyone else ESPECIALLY the people you're stealing from who don't deserve this kind of bullshit after the time and effort they put into their work.
