Got my score back for my presentation, & it was About what I was expecting. I knew the weak point of the presentation was how dense it was + how much I had to cover, and as a result I did end up largely reading off of the slides. Tried to insert some extra information about the stuff, but didn't have much in the way of discussion built into my slides. So like... I can accept that criticism lol (even if it does sting a lil 😭)

Overall tho I got an average score of 8.6, professor score of 8... I'm not sure actually what will count for my grade. Is he including his score in the average at the top??? Also 8.6 is also not right. When I calculated my score from the tallied numbers, I got 8.31 for class average, 8.29 if I include the professor's rating in there as just one. For some reason, what he wrote is higher than either?? I certainly won't complain about a higher score, though I'm confused lol

But yeah people in general praised my research and preparation. Also video choice. Yay!

I will now try to focus on the good points and not worry so much about the bad. Regardless of any of it, 8.6 or 8 (out of max 9) is generally Pretty Good. Might as my professor for clarification on the grades when I next see him.

crushing stage:

➳ you and miles would barely have any classes together. maybe one or two throughout the day, but those classes sleays felt too short for him. so, miles would change his route to class just to see you. the few seconds he would see your pretty face in the hallway was enough for him to get through the day. was enough for him to get that warm fluffy feeling in his stomach.

"oh, i dunno. i just dont wanna be in class right now" he'd shrug whenever you asked him why he took the long way to his classes.

but really, it was just an excuse to see you. just to feel your soft hands whenever he'd dab you up in the hallway.

➳ miles isn't the shy type when it comes to flirting. he hugs you longer than the others, holds your hand a bit longer than necessary when shaking it, and purposefully reaches for the same items you are just so he can feel your skin brush against his.

it's safe to say that this boy is touch starved.

➳ miles and you would probably be friends before he develops a crush on you. so he'd always deny any rumors of him liking you, saying you guys were 'just friends' even though he wanted to be everything but that.

"n-no. she's just a friend, nothing else" he'd stammer, even though he's clearly nervous about it.

➳ miles looks for your eyes during any group conversation. yes, there are about 5 other people in your friend group, but your voice is the only one he cares about hearing. your eyes the only ones he wants to look into.

he can't help but try to fight back a smile when you glance at him during these conversations, and even more so when you talk to him specifically.

➳ miles draws you in his sketchbook. but not only pictures of you where he thought you looked actually beautiful, but just quotes of funny things you said that might've stuck with him, or random notes of things you mentioned liking.

he'll never let you find it though, keeping it locked up in the top shelf of his closet. he'd die of embarrassment if you ever saw what was in it, afraid you'll think he's a weirdo of some sort.

talking stage:

➳ miles stays on the phone with you late at night. he loves hearing your pretty voice telling him what you did that day, and all the things you laughed about in third period.

➳ miles makes more of an effort to spend time with you. yes, you guys did frequently hang with eachother whenever the opportunity presented itself, but even then those hangouts were short because of whatever spidey-business he had going on that day or some general day to day distractions.

but once he realizes that whatever you guys having going on between you could be something serious, he starts making more plans with you. sometimes ditching spending time with ganke just to see you.

➳ your weekdays aren't what they used to be anymore once you and miles start talking. at first, you used to just get ready and then leave with your parental guardian as they drove you to school.

but after you guys start talking, you had to get ready for school an extra fifteen minutes early because miles wanted to walk with you to school. sometimes taking you to the local bodega to get your favorite snacks, or ordering your favorite coffee for you at the small coffee shop in the city.

➳ miles makes an effort to get to know your parents/family. your family absolutely adores him though, so he has no trouble getting in close with them. but he still gets nervous and worries about making a good impression.

"you think they'll like me?" he'll whisper to you, not trying to seem obvious about how nervous he's feeling.

you assure him that they will, which doesn't fully convince him until he starts to get to knos them. they laugh and smile with him, making jokes and jus generally treating him as if hes just part of the family.

➳ miles picks up the phone every. single. time. you call him. without fail, this boy is always looking to be there for you no matter how big or small your needs are. whether it be at seven in the morning, at eleven o'clock at night, he's going to pick up that phone.

"yes ma'am?" he'll answer, his voice laced with the tiniest hint of worry.

➳ miles morales passes the orange peel theory. no more needs to be said.

➳ miles is obsessed with the idea of asking you out. making you his girlfriend. he works everyday to give you the proposal he thinks you deserve. asking some of his female friends to help him learn to make bouquets of flowers that of course include your favorite color, asking some of your family some of the things you're interested in and adding them to the basket of things that he's made for you.

he's increasingly nervous when he asks you, he does it somewhere private so he isn't faced with public humiliation if you were to reject him.

but to his own amazement, you smile and tell him that yes you will infact be his girlfriend.

"really? i mean, you aren't just saying that?" he'll say slowly, wanting to make sure that this is real. that you were actually just as into him as he was into you.

dating stage:

➳ he calls you a variety of pet names. i personally think he'll stick with the basic ones, stuff like 'babe' or 'bae', or just shortened variations of your name.

but once you guys get more comfortable with eachother, he'll call you stuff like 'princess'. he finds stuff like 'mi amor' or anything starting with 'my/mi' corny, so he'll stray away from those.

➳ miles isnt afraid to let the world knows that he's your boyfriend. infact, he's extremely cocky with the fact that he managed to pull someone as goregous as you. he constantly brags to anyone who'll stand to listen about how he has the honor of being your boyfriend and how he's never met anyone like you before.

"my girlfriend is so pretty. i miss her so much man" he'll mutter, to which everyone around him will groan in annoyance because you're all he talks about.

➳ miles writes your name everywhere. your name is plastered over every homework assignment, every cover of every notebook, on the back of some abandoned building where he graffitied your initials together. it's written in sharpie on his wrist.

he wants to be reminded of you every second of the day, as youre his entire world.

➳ he'll take pictures of things that remind him of you. flowers that are your favorite color? *snap*, he's taken a picture of it. a rock thats shaped in the same shape of your birthmark? *snap*. a leaf that's the same color as your eyes? *snap*.

➳ miles has a harder time being away from you than whats considered normal. of course, its natural and completely okay to miss your partner when you are apart, but miles is so dramatic with it.

he'll groan in bed and look at pictures of you two together, wondering when he'll get to see you again. he'll replay voice messages that you sent him just so he can hear that voice he loves so much.

"oh my god i fucking miss her" he'll say to himself while throwing his phone aside so he can bury his face in his pillow, trying to forget about you.

➳ miles will gush about you to tia rio, blabbing about how pretty you are and all the things you said that made him smile. she'll just smile, grateful that her little boy has found someone that can make him as happy as she always wished he could be.

Ya got any tips for writing dialog for the sillies?

i wish i could come up w anything deeply helpful irt this but i just kinda "feel it" & it "happens", generally in a way i find hard 2 explain to people... i will give it a go though

for dave i think id have an even harder time explaining it, but my dave is rly heavily influenced by post-irony & ytp. whenever i write dave i just kinda follow a stream of consciousness that is dubious about shit and loves to laugh i guess? i rlly don't know how to describe it. i tend to reread canon dialogue particlarly from act3-6 for inspo, sometimes i'm straight up using my own brain with some kind of dave-filter

when i write them together i like 2 live in the beautiful world where they both agreed to be earnest with each other, probably my best example of that is "candid detail". i don't do that all the time bc i also like to write em with their guards up e.g. "bad mouther hole master", theres a lot of points in their relationship that have rly fun dynamics 2 me.

i guess i also do them kinda silly. ive been told my dk is quite silly. i like 2 imagine they know how to make each other laugh. they also learn a lot from each others perspectives on things, like insecurities or bad experiences or even just what they like / what art is to them, stuff like that. in my interp they do rly end up having a lot of things in common ideologically bc they're both at their cores very soft people.

it's all abt big long sentences with an undertone of quiet empathy. it can also be about aggressively bumping shoulders w their own egos too because that's fun

fundamentally though, i write them 2 be genuinely interested in what the other has to say. like, curious about each other. it gives u rly fun back & forth that isn't too mean-spirited & is more playful/genuine... i think it's rlly easy to write them totally discrediting each other's viewpoints which i do sometimes too (again, FUN !) but if u do it in the wrong context it just comes off as needlessly sardonic & harshes the vibe. i mention that bc i have a hard time balancing their egos & genuity myself sometimes

also very important to know when to have them run their mouths & when to have them sit their asses down & LISTEN. i tend to have them run their mouths a lot in scripts i havent finished/posted, just bc i have so much fun doing it, but it makes the dialogue so long-winded that i can't turn it into a comic... yeah definitely part of it is remembering they both know how to be succinct when they need/wanna be and aren't ALWAYS flapping their mouths. sometimes i realise a script is going in a direction that could be a whole other convo & that's when i tend 2 nip it in the bud

i really dont kno if any of this is helpful but i hope it is a little 4 my kinda... process i guess 🙂

Well, I've had an experience in the past maybe a year or two ago where someone used me to get into a specific server, made me super uncomfortable. Our conversations were so surface level. I cant even recall them ever asking me how I was doing...

I personally dont like big simblr/small simblr discourse. Its stupid and annoying asf to me. People that follow "influential" sim blogs only to gain popularity and notes....are going to be miserable on here trying to "make it" in with a specific crowd and those people will see thru all the bs and superficiality tbh. i think this is still kinda hard for me to answer because i think achilles doesnt care so much about animals in the first place BUT i think xe would like horseys.... i think he would think theyre kinda majesticc

it was actually a kind of random fun fact in my head that achilles cant sleep well/refuses to sleep. i feel like she stays awake for no reason because she like cant really seem to get rid of all her energy. but also she just doesnt think she needs sleep. not really. i think especially if shes reading something she's invested in she's going to keep reading and reading and not wanna stop. she'd probably even try to respawn to "cure" her sleepiness symptoms but it might end in him just respawning so often it causes him headaches/other pain. in an attempt to stay awake longer and longer. (i think respawn does eventually have consequences when you respawn several times in a row and yknow he actually has to spend time killing himself first which isnt really all that easy) but generally yea i think hes not very good with sleep.

hmm .. i dont think so... ive never quite imagined any of their smells... i actualyl am not even sure how to describe it in the first place because like. how do you describe people smell. achilles has people smell of a certain type that i cant describe. tho i imagine its a softer smell .?? very hard... to describe... 1) dont kno what they smell like 2) dont kno what words to use but uhhm yea

okayyy i been needing to write a longform post for a while! just to chronicle some thoughts in a cohesive way. & getting straight to the point: i'm realizing there is very little, if ANY payoff, to being an artist online. i'm not talking about money. im talking about the way it's like, the more ppl start to see you as an "artist", the more they feel like ur some kind of public figure they can lash out at w no repercussions. ur humanity is just wiped from their minds. i don't have some huge following by any means but for ME its gotten big since in the past i've been a serial deleter. usually at 800 followers im gone.

i love being creative & sharing for the sake of sharing but i deeply fear any kind of spotlight. since i came back onto tumblr i made the pledge to myself not to delete my account if it started growing but now im having second thoughts!! well i'll never delete this account cus im too sentimental but part of me just wants to stop posting in the ways i tend to do. like maube im too forthcoming & need to slink back into the shadows a bit. because i don't want to stop contributing art & music to the world but idk how to protect my heart.

like it's so crazy to me that artists are expected to b these idealistic icons of everything the viewer represents & if they make a single mistake its like fuck we better launch a pUBLIC HARASSMENT CAMPAIGN!! genuinely like, how are people supposed to want to put themselves out there when the climate is so hostile? it has got me feelin rly nihilistic i must admit. trying to put nice stuff into the world shld not be generating drama for me, especially when it's just my hobby & not even my "career".

for a while ive had no idea what to do for work or how to generate income in a way that works for me but honestly? im gonna bite the bullet & do some coding bootcamps so i can try n get a remote job doing some tech shit & making a fat salary. i guess i never rly considerd it before cus all the silicon valley stuff susses me out but idk. im naturally really good at code + my only real dream in life is to be able to support others & redistribute wealth. like ive never had anything of my own to share but if i could actually do this & become the secure+charitable person i wish to be, i think i cld finally have some inner peace/sense of fulfillment. plus i cld still be a recluse ^_^

Hook: TBH, hook doesnt rly think theyre childish OR mature for their age, they find themself on pretty equal footing no matter who theyre talking to bc theyre like pretty casual and prefer to like have equality between ppl theyre talking to and like dont care at all about filling in roles, like being more of a mentor figure OR being someone who is menteed you know? but theyre mature for their age, especially when they were a child, growing up on the streets with no parents and a little brother will do that to you ✌

39. What does your character believe their party lacks?

Swords: For the rebellion well . its a little obvious, theres no real direction to it still!! most of the other things the rebellion lacks though has recently been fulfilled since the pcs came back and picked out a lil hq location :) theres also a part of her that thinks the rebellion without henrietta will always be lacking something and all of that but shes !! working on it !!

Wiz: also thinks the rebellion lacks a clear direction, and that it lacks people who genuinely care about the cause and arent just doing this to puppet the old rebellions corpse to get it to success. hes WORKING on the direction part. being the leader and all . but its still hard since there is no real unified vision of the rebellion anymore, just anecdotes of the old one. Wiz would rather the rebellion either not exist at all or that people forgot about the old one. too bad its almost a requirement that the old rebellion be brought up and people from it to join for the success of this one <3

Daggers: being that she hasnt ever had experience being in a group like this before, idk if she has much of a thought on what it lacks! maybe people that focus more on details instead of the big picture, which is how it feels rn, everthings kind of vague and depersonalized, which worked back when it was small but now its getting bigger and people might get lost in all of this bustle... u kno?

Hook: basically a conglomerate opinion of all the previous ones. Hook honestly doesnt care too too much about the rebellion as a whole, and mainly just hopes that it never lacks the ability for the to have some independence, that they can do what they need to do and nobody will hold them back.

44. How do they hold onto people?

this is such an interesting q... many ways to interpret this...

Swords: GUILT!!!! swords is pretty openly a manipulator honestly when it comes down to this. its not even conscious honestly. she doesnt want people to ever leave her bc it makes her feel a bit worthless and stuff so she just tries her best to make sure people stick around :) in whatever ways she possibly can ! this all only really happens if she can tell people are like distancing themselves from her tho btw.. otherwise its business as usual!

Wiz: honestly. by being dependable. wiz only really knows how to exist when its deferential to another person. its partially why him being the leader has sucked but this also means that should he be shoved, he will get stuff done. and he knows that people need people who can get stuff done, thus making him kinda indispensable. kinda manipulative but ummmm u guyys dont even know he . is . a little bit lmao . (btw this is also why he was a terrible brother <3) (also regardless of whether wiz likes someone or not, he tends to try and hold onto them... kinda cringe)

Daggers: by trying her best to be loveable. trying to mold herself into someone desireable that people will see as attractive and worthy of their time and attention. this model is mostly based on her sister who managed to hold the entirety of her family but its . not successful at all <3 but that doesnt mean she wont stop trying to be her inauthentic self until her identity is purely based on what she thinks others enjoy. though, if she doesnt like someone, she wont try too hard to hold onto them

Hook: by taking care of them, chilling with them... being a good friend :) you can usually tell if they like you because theyll chill around u like a cat... and also like bring u thngs... again like a cat... theyre not too dissimilar from how wiz does but in a less like... deferential way and more of a parental way almost? it can ofc become deferential tho, and in most times if hook wants someone to like them, they will become very sort of... not subserviant but like... very obviously only doing things that will make them liked by that person and not caring much about themself? more selfless than selfish ! much like daggers, but going even farther, if hook knows someone doesnt like.. want to be held onto then they will let them go...

54. What is something they currently look forward to? What is something they dread?

Swords: shes looking forward to having the PCs back around and also getting this rebellion together!! shes excite to see where everything gets taken and their future victories, of course that also comes with the absolute dread of failure, of death and destruction happening to those she loves... so :)

Wiz: YOU GUYS ALREADY KNOW WHAT HES DREADING!! but for people who arent in this dnd game, wiz is soooososoo anxious abt his recent sudden multiclass into cleric bc he hates divinity and gods and everything and is like if i got possessed by a god its all over . and right when i was actually trying to be a good leader too 😭 I will say tho.. he is looking forward to the rebellion... maybe working out and having more people around... new people to meet and chat with... the pcs to be around and be silly... also he missed daggers <3

Daggers: She is looking forward to having more people around that she is much more familiar with, being able to chill after a long hard two missions in a row, and to be able to like... process everything in a more healthy way and like... u kno, having a support system instead of people she barely knows and who she knows dont like her very much... i think she is dreading a little bit like... actually moving past this all though? like who is she going to be when she actually moves past her grief and her fear of death and feeling like genuinely yes she is not a bad person for having accidentally killed someone... who will she be... shes a bit unsure and a bit nervous of that...

Hook: hook WAS looking forward to seeing their brother finally for the first time in like 10 years but then it happened and it was great!!! so now theyre looking forward to the past... looking forward to the rebellion being put together like it was before and being able to help people, fix things, be useful and not only to their siblings or to their friends! theres more people around, more things to do, more stuff to just get into... its gonna be fun ^-^ but i do think they dread losing people, probably are going to be very on people about like .. fortifying the hq so theres no chance they could lose their brother or anyone they care about ever again !!

Swords: in the rebellion? herself. She thinks shes mature, prepared, experienced, etc etc... the only thing is that if shes ever like... prodded on this or have to actually SHOW that shes most put together she will crumple <3 in the PCs party..... rushi probably! reminds her of her grandmother who was a big mentor figure in her life and so shes like :) she has it all under control :)

Wiz: in the rebellion........ probably nobody. in the pcs party ALSO NOBODY 🥳 he 1- has trust issues and 2- is very cynical and pessmistic, so not only is he like nah i dont think anyone really has it together, but he doesnt TRUST that anyone does. If you stretch . maybe at most he thinks jacques and talfryn both have something, but even then wiz is like theyre YOUNG theyll make dumb mistakes that show they have NOTHING together... but yea

Daggers: in the rebellion, wiz! shes very much like... hes the leader... ofc he has everything toegther... plus u know, hes a paternal figure to her and that makes her VERY biased in who she thinks to go to for anything or even just like... thinking about whos got it together. in the PCs party, probably talfryn. he reminds her of her older brother whos probably one of the most successful people in her family, plus hes got some like very good self assurance that really show her that hes got things under control.

Hook: in the rebellion....... themselves. and in the PCs party, nobody probably? I think that much like wiz, hook is a bit cynical, plus although they dont really show it, they are a bit self assured, they know what they can deal with, what they can do, and dont really trust that other people know that of themselves and that theyll easily overextend themselves u kno?

64. What is one thing they want each party member to know?

Swords: in the rebellion.... 🤔 probably she desperately wants daggers to know that she doesnt hate her, that she doesnt have any ill will towards her and in fact, would like her and hang out w her if she wasnt soooo touchy about things. in the PCs.... probably wants all them to really know that she wants to b closer to them and like appreciates them... i think swords really doesnt think people GET how much she apprecates them... or like enjoys their presence...

Wiz: in the rebellion..... you know what, i think both in the rebellion and in the PCs he wants people to know that he . is so sorry for being a lil shit <3 he doesnt really like ... talk in an earnest way so really any earnest feelings he has he would like people to know about and i think right now hes just like man. this could have been happening way earlier if i just had chilled out. like he doesnt recognize his mistakes in the moment and will often defend them but god forbid he actually apologize after the fact, he wishes he could just BEAM the knowledge of these apologies and everything into peoples minds.

Daggers: I think for both the pcs and the rebellion she probably would want them to know about her... to understand her in some kind of way so theres no real confusion when talking to them, and so maybe theyll be able to fully point her in the right direction when it comes to advice and stuff, bc she feels like ppl dont really truely KNOW her... or know HER u kno?

Hook: honestly . hook wishes that people would just . know how to communicate with them. im sure its probably really frustrating dealing with the PCs bc they have to do a less direct way of talking to them (through typing on their phone) bc like while theyre fast at typing they find it easier to just SIGN. and as far as the rebellion, they want wiz and probably swords too to know that theyre not like . going anywhere... even tho they have their brother back, theyre still there for wiz and swords... still able to be friends with them u kno?

69. Journey or Destination?

Swords: Journey! a very big believer in the whole dont cry because its over smile because it happened person, this isnt to say that she DOESNT cry because its over of course, she gets sad about the idea of the rebellion ending but is excited about it being successful! but ... of course she still does enjoy the thrills of victories and having people to support her through losses... etc... so she likes the journey more ^-^

Wiz: Journey, wiz dreads the destination always. the journey is more fun and everything is somewhat more stable somehow, but the destination is when everything ends, everyone goes home and the show is over.

Daggers: Destination, she values results more than what gets those results. plus most of the time she just finds journeys to be tedious and wants for any suffering to be over with immediately!! shes sick of it!! but also shes addicted to it so <3 even tho she desires the destination she may never get it bc she will always look for the destination u kno?

Hook: Destination, they just want to chill . please . plus journeys are dangerous and people do bad things and they do bad things and its just BAD. can we get to the part where we're all drinking margaritas with little umbrellas on the beach now? pls?

Loving Fate/Samurai Remnant so much actually. I love all the sword fighting. The gameplay is just so fun. But there r all sorts of informational things about 1600s Japan, specifically Edo and its neighborhoods and all sorts of cultural things, both big and small, and it's just. So Fun!!!!

I've gone looking some things up online for additional information on a few things, so I've learned things from that, too!!! It's just a really fun process

It had been a bright and lovely shock to discover that being touched did not always make Toujou Minato want to die. When Haruki elbowed him with a grin, he elbowed back with a scowl; when Haruki took her wrist and led her along, she complained and did not pull away. When Haruki grinned at him and relaxed so their knees touched, Minato relaxed too, resting his body against that tiny point of warmth.

obvi (if u kno me if not welcome im brina my brain doesnt work) i have multiple verses im just dumb and havent posted them, i gotta rewrite a lot of them to be shorter too bc i give full character backstories for everything as it develops and ik most ppl dont wanna read that so it takes longer for me to do things bc im ‘tistic and short quick explanations is not my fortay. main doodads tho: 1, 3-7 are fantasy worlds specifically, 2 is overall in any world, 8 onwards is purely human verses

generally with other fantasy worlds, i’ll have it where cassie ended up in your universe. Whilst my Wonde/rland is largely built off my own thoughts and things now, and various points of lore, the 2009 S/yfy A/lice was a base for it. A/merican M/cgee’s Alice is the base inspo for Cassie’s cheshire cat, but she’s also her own thing. (fun fact: originally i was writing her as the d/ormouse from b/urtons wonderl/and, but as she grew further from that canon w my never writing in that universe, she became my own character ultimately and holds few similarities to her origin now, including species! but her twin brother is still ‘proper’ dormo/use, yes it makes sense, its more a title than a species in this world)

Cassie is… moldable, mentally, to say the least. When someone finds her in whatever world she ends up in, whether its a fantasy world or not (as she ofc just lives wherever in non fantasy aus) she.. tends to be easier to manipulate because she will get attached to people just for being nice to her. she isn’t used to it. it’s rare for there to be a universe where this isn’t an issue for her (also of note bc dual muse blog: willys the manipulator, and shes the manipulatee) honestly she’s morally grey anyways and doesn’t really understand morality as a whole, so if shes found by a villain and they just.. treat her like a person, she will get attached. and cassie being attached can be dangerous, not just for others, but for herself, because she’s loyal to a fault. if she makes friends w multiple ppl and they fight, she wont know what to do because she just can’t bring herself to believe either person is wrong. it’s also of note that in most fantasy verses, she’d been locked up, abandoned in a cell, for years. She doesnt tend to talk and, despite trying to push a tough and uncaring act, she’s still scared. she’s still traumatized. a lot of the time she wont even talk. this is the everything tab also so be aware she has a scar over her right eye, and her right eye is a silvery blue verses her normal blue eye. she’s also pretty much blind in her right eye, but the color is due to heterochromia. her twin brother has one blue and one green.

she is very noticeably neurodivergent when you talk to her, and as many fellow a/utistics point out, cats tend to have similar personalities to us anyways (ive seen a many point out that if you can handle a cats support needs you can handle ours lol). usually shes fixated on something, but she’ll also use trickery of the tongue to get out of things when need be. she’ll unintentionally speak in riddles that make perfect sense to her, but others feel a need to solve. however in most universes where she ends up there, i do it post her escaping after the prince of he/arts (who kept her captive for years) overthrows his mother. She ultimately traverses due to remaining look/ing glasses from before the land was taken by the Hearts. Meaning she cannot get back on her own. But, she also does not want to.

It’s very important for the author to be aware that she cannot tell a lie. Muses not understanding is fine, because how would they know when cassie doesn’t know her own heritage in most verses (o/uat is currently pmuch the only fantasy verse where she was raised by her parents, making her aware shes the princess of spades, and aware shes a witch, but still unaware that the reason she cant lie is because shes a fae halfling) Cassie is a Fae Halfling, and fae/witch hybrid. The Fae half itself is a hybrid of Seelie and Unseelie like her father. I use pieces of real lore and pieces of my own here, but it doesnt really come up in writing much anyways. but she cannot lie to anyone, it physically tears into her flesh the moment words leave her lips. the only thing she can do is use trickery words to mis-explain, and even then it can titter the line.

Her cheshire invisibility comes from shapeshifting to match her surroundings, but beyond that she mostly can just change her hair color, slightly change her face for short periods of time, or as most often used and the longest shes capable of holding, turning into a silver blue cat.

fae wise her powers are largely elemental, water focused, and she doesnt know how it works. the faerie power she has most control over involves her own blood, which she can turn into crystalized weapons when shes bleeding. most often she’ll be using her witch abilities. in some aus, your character may see she has strange looking bands on her wrists and locked into place, meant to look like bracelets but unable to be removed. They’re power blockers placed on her by the prince of h/earts to ensure she couldn’t break out again. they keep her from using her powers, from healing, and otherwise.

her makeup made her an omen to the remaining fae of wo/nderland, which there arent many left there. they wanted to slaughter her father as well, but never managed to make it as he was too brutally powerful for them, either. The Fae had believed a seelie/unseelie hybrid, let alone a fae/witch hybrid, would bring death upon the whole of their kind. Ironically… Cassie’s technically a necromancer, and can give part of herself to bring others back to life permanently, or use weaker magic to bring them back temporarily. As such, when she dies, she tends to always come back, and oft with more power than before, and even less self control. She’s also the only reason her twin brother is still alive, but he wont admit to that.

purely human verses, she still doesn’t lie, but it largely relates more to the a/utism than anything else. she doesn’t like to lie in the first place, but has little qualms about confusing others when they get confused by her speaking normally. she doesn’t see a point in fixing that, especially when she can simply say a confusing, convoluted version of the truth to get out of actually admitting anything.

usually, because when i first wrote her a few years ago i actually combined her and this canon iteration (as shes basically what cassie would become if pushed fully to the limit) whos name i took, i’ll have her be the adopted daughter (and bio relative) of A/lcina D/imitrescu, with her sharing that name. Meaning she’s in her family’s wine business. She’s much more distrusting of men, between nearly being killed by one after watching him kill most of her family, kidnapped by him for blackmail until she found a way out, and her mother (alcina’s) own severe hatred of them. but still, honestly, if you’re nice to her she’s probably gonna get confused and fall for it.

theres also verses w @mastermiinded where shes E/llington F/eints daughter, thats probably the most normal cassie you’ll ever get if you want those but also she has a mom who loves her and was raised in a universe heavily involving a cult. she’s kind of bitchier tbh LOL

funnily enough, she is still always ready to attack at any given moment.

she knows a lot of knife tricks, and many would argue she likely belongs in a circus of some sort. she doesn’t like that argument, but she does know how to do multiple knife tricks, swallow swords, and do various slight of hand tricks. all while being blind in her right eye.

put in a multitude of self defense training, and for a brief time was even made her mothers bodyguard, she knows how to fight and she knows how to kill. whether or not she wants to is its own debacle.

if someone is out to get her and sb else tries to help, shes not gonna be cool w it bc she doesnt want others risking themselves for her, and it makes her feel like shes been kidnapped and locked up all over again.
