There's some inherent tragic horror in the fact that Simon canonically doesn't remember much of what he did as Ice King, just 'dreamlike impressions'. I imagine he remembers people, certain significant moments but otherwise it's kind of a blur. Simon is over a thousand years old but he barely remembers any of it. Not to mention the non-magical human brain isn't built to contain so much memory so any attempts to recall could be dangerous for him.
Imagine how terrible it is to be told a story of yourself acting strange and manic and pathetic and terrible and there's no internal context for it. It may as well have happened to someone else in a dream but its the personality and actions most people know you by. Simon hears an outrageous story of Ice King and who knows if it's real or not? He barely knows who the man was.

Oh Dex, you don't get to pull the "I can't be bigoted, stalking, violent trash because I'm more leftist than you are" card.
I'm trans and an ancom and it's no secret that a lot of "ex" gg-ers tried to re-invent themselves.
Funny how it never works for long.
No one outside your diminishing echo chamber believes a word you say.
Actually, that is just wrong. Me being leftist has nothing to do with me not being bigoted. Im simply... Not bigoted. The reason why i point out my leftist "credentials" is to prove through my ACTIONS why you people are fake progressives.
You gave me labels. You are trans and an ancom. Okay. Why should i care? I dont care about your labels (I stopped caring about them during the invasion of Ukraine when people started using the "pacifist" and "anti-imperialist" labels to argue for Russian occupation of Ukraine). I care about actions.
So, let us all recall what YOU anti-RWDE people have done with your actions.
1 - During the RT controversies many of your people came in DEFENCE of RT, people like Lilith Fairen cursed out and attacked people on twitter for criticizing RT and afterwards your anti-RWDE crowd spread Kdins past shitty behaviour. Pointing out her past behaviour is not a problem. But you did so to protect a bigoted company.
2 - Your anti-RWDE crowd has called for people to support RT financially through merch and other such avenues. Showing that you care more for your show and a corporation than its workers.
3 - Multiple anti-RWDE people have been caught using slurs, people like Lilith using ethnic slurs while some of your other people have been caight using the word "ret*rd". One of your people, Darious uses an alt account to spread islamophobic and racist shit to Adel Aka and Vexed Viewer. I dont like their content. But the racist attacks on them come from YOUR crowd
4 - Multiple of your people have been caught faking accusations about others. Canonseeker, a person your anti-RWDE crowd is friendly with for example took issue with me slagging of NAZIS on twitter. Pretending that they were "RWBY fans". I dont know why he stated that Nazis were RWBY fans but you should ask him that.
5- Your anti-RWDE crowd constantly use language or tactics associated with the alt-right. Lilith Fairen often weaponizes an alt right tactic when people call out racism/sexism, to them accuse the accusers of these things. Some of your people freely use the word "degener*te" which is HEAVILY associated with far right ideologies.
6 - Most of your biggest attacks have been against people of colour and sexual minorities. You dont go after chuds. Your MAIN targets are specifically women, people of colour, and those of non-straight sexualities. And that is no coincidence. Hell, quite recently one of your leaders, Lilith straight up made an entire paragraph which just reeked of white saviour syndrome.
7 - It is only from YOUR anti-RWDE crowd that i have gotten shit for supporting Ukraine in their defence against a Russian invasion. No single critic of RWBY has EVER given me shit for that. Only RWBY fans. Why is that?
Need i go on? The reason why i call you fake progressives is not due to the labels you hold. But due to your behaviour. The BEST you can levy in accusations against RWDE people is making shit up.
Xel Writer/Zam/Xelianthought for example is hanging around twitter claiming that the Canonseeker expose document was made with the help of Kiwifarms knowing that its a lie. He wanted to get my Reddit account deleted through false accusations that Lilith wanted to get onto too. Your friend canonseeker is coming up with real life fanfiction about me "controling" RWBY youtubers and r/RWBY mods.
The best you can do are either lies or shouting "YOU ARE SEXIST/RACIST/HOMOPHOBE" with absolutely no proof.
While your, anti-RWDE behaviour has been recorded to be fucking horrible. And none of you ever apologized or even acknowledged the things you have done. None of you have acknowledged or apologized for using slurs. None of you have apologized for defending RT.
You doubled down on that shit.
Also, if you dont care what we say. Why in the fuck do you keep hounding us? Why do i receive nearly daily asks of harassment? Why do you keep talking about us? If nobody believes us or listens to us. Why do you care?
See? Your attacks are so transparent its funny to me. Because in your whole "Nobody cares about you spiel" you reveal just how much of a pain we are to you people. Good.

you are downplaying elriel scenes tho💀💀even the way you're talking about azriel saving elain says everything.
as for tt, how old is azriel again? around 500 yeah?? do you really think that a 500yr old illyrian warrior has never been in a situation where he gave his weapons to comrades? for someone who is oh so holy about context, you're forgetting that rhys mentioned to feyre that az never let anyone TOUCH tt. it's not just a matter of lending tt to someone during battle. it's so important to him that he's not let anyone before even hold the damn thing.
'But your claims that TT and his rescuing Elain equals love and feelings is pretty much disproven considering he was still in love with Mor months later on Solstice. He's not simultaneously in love with Elain.' - could you point me to these claims of mine? I don't recall me saying that🤔unless, it's your age working tricks on you...
elain reminded azriel of his mother as a servant which is why he helped her?😶how long did it take you to reach for THAT take?💀
you people are just so dramatic. you're acting like azriel locked elain away and took all her choices when all he said was that the trove has a darkness that elain shouldn't be exposed to. (to which cassian replied "and nesta should?" showing that he has similar thoughts about nesta). he expressed that he doesn't want her involved in something so dark. did he go to elain and tell her that he forbids her from going? no. and your little examples dont change the fact that rhys and cassian DO have their overprotective moments. rhys literally growled at nesta when she so much as looked at feyre wrong😂
it's actually kinda hilarious that you're sitting there accusing me of 'glorifying' elriel scenes when you're the one swooning over lucien giving elain the space she needs which is the bare minimum a decent person could do.
I also don't see where you got the idea of me trying to influence your opinion from?? it's simply discourse on social media. if you don’t want to interact then turn off your anons. (I can send you tutorials on how to do that, sweetie😘)
Oh my god, another "sweetie" 🤦😭. You really have no shame 😂. And once again trying to insult my age which further proves your immaturity.
I promise you, one day your 40 / 50 year old self look will look back at your actions and be embarrassed.
It's absolutely PATHETIC that I blocked your main account yet you are logging on to a secondary account for the sole purpose of harassing others.
Once again, you misunderstand the true spirit of discourse because snidely sending anons is not it.
You completely miss the point of what I'm saying, a common occurrence for you.
Is it possible Az has lent out weapons to other soldiers? Sure. But have we any proof that Az has ever needed to sit out of battle?
NO.
He ALWAYS has TT on him which means if Az is in battle, HE will use TT.
And what reason would Az ever have to let someone touch TT? 😂. "Hey baby, want to touch my dagger?"
Everyone in his circle is a warrior and they have their own weapons.
The only reason TT was available for someone else to use was because Mor begged him to sit out. Az was planning on flying into battle after being severely wounded which strongly suggests he doesn't sit out of battle for anything. Yet the female he loved begged him not to go so he suddenly had no need for TT. And in this storyline, there just happened to be a human recently turned Fae who had no weapon on her person.
I highly doubt there has ever been a scenario where Az was preparing to go into battle, decided to sit out, and had a random female hanging around who needed protection but in that case he refused to give it to her because he was saving that action for the female he'd someday love.
If you want to throw context in my face, I'd like to remind you letting Elain touch TT didn't mean what you think it means since he's never thought of her beyond his sexual fantasies. 🤷. You say I'm downplaying E/riel scenes whereas I'm merely explaining why those scenes all amounted to a whole lot of nothing except Az wanting a mate and using Elain as spank bank material.
Rhys growled at Nesta? THAT is what you're trying to compare to Az saying Elain shouldn't be allowed to do something dangerous? REALLY?! 😂
And Cassian said, "and Nesta should?" only in response to Az basically saying one female shouldn't be allowed to do something dangerous yet the other females don't matter.
He's not saying Nesta shouldn't be allowed to search for the Trove, he's saying no female is more exempt than any other which is basically what Az is suggesting. He's calling out Az for his idiot comment, something Amren also had to do.
And my take on Elain reminding Az of his mother is a REACH?! It's in the text!
Let’s just say it hit a little close to home. At my beat of confusion, he added, There are some scars when it comes to how his mother was treated. Many scars. His mother, who had been a servant—near-slave—when he was born. And afterward. None of us bother to wait for everyone to sit, least of all Cassian. It can strike at odd times.
I'm not sure how many more ways I can say this, in my opinion your interpretation of the text is weak and uninspired. There is no insult you can throw my way, no take on the series that is going to change my mind.
And once AGAIN, you take one sentence of a post and run with it. Lucien has never once demanded Elain make a decision on the bond. That's not all he's done for her but it is a big deal when you consider all the E/riels that claim Lucien harasses her. And the phrasing for that sentence was in regards to that fact and that he has given her space and freedom to deal with her trauma and being made before dealing with the enormity of a mating bond.
I don't know, it seems like a pretty obvious concept to me. Maybe it's just something that comes with old age 😉
You are wasting your time sending messages and this will be the last time I respond to them. My anons are open because some Elucien's and Gwynriels want to share their thoughts without becoming a target for people like you. They are not open for trolls who enjoy starting shit "anonymously" under the guise of wanting to have a "peaceful" debate. You're not fooling anyone.

Okay so I've been thinking about the whole Wilbur resurrection and his words DO NOT add up at all.
And I'm not being in "denial" here, this isnt really about crimeboys, rather its genuinely something off about the whole situation that isnt consistant at all to what we previously know. Now I'm NOT saying the reverse psychology theory is real here, you can come to your own conclusions here but the whole situation is genuinely inconsistent.
1) Wilbur didn't know anything about what happened in the living world.
This is an odd case because you would think Tommy of all people would actually hold Wilbur accountable during the months that he was with him. You're telling me that he NEVER mentioned the second destruction of his nation? You're telling me that Wilbur didnt even ASK? Things like Exile is understandable, but there are so many other things that have happened that Tommy could have easily mentioned to Wilbur. Yet he doesnt.
It actually doesnt make sense at all because Tommy is the type who would mention these things, even if they were tense in the afterlife HE WOULD STILL accuse Wilbur of the things he clearly did in the living world that screwed them over. HE WOULD MENTION what his actions caused for other people and himself, Tommy isnt a character to hide that.
He has always been one to blame others and hold them accountable for problems and mistakes they clearly made. He's done that with many other characters before, Wilbur is NOT an exception here.
So you're telling me Wilbur didnt ask about what he missed ONCE and Tommy didnt mention anything at all? They were together for MONTHS what else would they even talk about?
2) Wilbur mentions being alone until Tommy arrives in the afterlife, before eventually leaving.
But this just isnt true? There are multiple instances AND Povs where Schlatt and MD were clearly present within Wilbur's headspace in the afterlife. And there are instances of him actually speaking to them too.
The first encounter we had with voidbur during the disc war he mentions Schlatt and how he's "Sick of that guy" and wanted to get away from him (tone wise it was just general annoyance, not malice)
In Tommy's brief look into the afterlife Schlatt and MD come into conversation. Wilbur clearly tries to call one of them over until Tommy refused the company. If Wilbur was able to easily call the others over, then why is he saying he was alone with no one but his own mind to talk to?
(You could say that Wilbur only likes talking to/ confiding in tommy but that is am assumption rather than an arguement. In this case everyone is treated equally here)
And Schlatt has clearly spoken to both Wilbur and Tommy too, with Tommy mentioning how Schlatt told them to "keep time." That fact in itself PROVES that the other afterlife residents were able to communicate with each other.
(You can mention how Schlatt was asleep for months but that doesnt mean MD wasnt there, it also doesnt mean Schlatt was asleep FOREVER)
And then we can finally mention Quackity's stream where Schatt or "Glatt" makes an appearance. And Schlatt mentions how he would come down from the afterlife to hangout, already showcasing more awareness and knowledge of himself then Ghostbur has shown (Ghostbur seems like a special case here). Already from that, it isnt inherently wrong to say that a lot of Glatt's knowledge about the afterlife is reliable and accurate to what it actually is.
So if we were to actually take his word for it, then he clearly shows companionship to Wilbur and Tommy in the afterlife. He mentions them coming down to hang out, he implies how Tommy would follow Wilbur around, he mentions Tommy's general uncomfortableness about being dead to begin with. All of these things somewhat contradict Wilbur's words of being "alone" if he is able to recall these encounters.
3) The first appearance of voidbur hes fairly friendly with Tommy and Tubbo
Now you can argue that things change during that passage of time seeing as each introduction of voidbur are years apart. And I wont argue with you if that's your reasoning against this claim because it does make sense.
Personally, I think the passage of time situation is complicated in general.
But I feel like a lot of people forget that the disc war encounter is STILL voidbur. And cutting to the chase here, his overall personality and vibe towards Tommy and Tubbo was actually very friendly and understanding.
He sensed Tommy's uncomfortableness and tried to calm him down and cheer him up by cracking jokes. He even says that its okay for him to feel uncomfortable because the whole situation in itself is odd.
I dont know about you but that IS NOT the Wilbur we saw revived. Whether time changed him (I honestly don't know what would make him different) or to put it bluntly, revived Wilbur is playing us for fools right now.
I think this last point can be held with a grain of salt tho because it is possible that the first voidbur encounter can be taken as improv. Or from the CC's perspective, they havnt finalized who voidbur actually was yet and instead they just rolled with what they had which is why he may have seemed nicer here.
This is generally what I have noticed that stuck to me. I still think there are a lot of the points that were made about Wilbur with the reverse psych theory that still stands. Not saying the theory itself is true, but the evidence that was used is still very solid in some cases. There are a lot of general inconsistencies here that I feel like are too integral and noticable to be a slip up or a mistake.
Say what you will, but its still suspicious nonetheless.

OFFAL HUNT REMASTERED LIVEBLOG // CHAPTER 21
IN THIS EPISODE OF MURPHY IS SO VERY SLEEPY BUT THE UPDATE SCHEDULE TAKES NO PRISONERS (FOR THE MOMENT):
“So it’s true,” she wheezed between grit fangs—“that bitch really does have you on a leash.”
KINKY,
me: okay lemme refresh on what happened last chapter-- me: /remembers me: oh yeah! yeah that SUCKED,
lets us continue on the journey of deep and immense sadness with glynda ‘clown shoes’ goodwitch!!!!!!!! here we go here we go
It took a while to pry back the jaws of her soul and wrench herself out of them.
ooh i rly like the context change here. before glynda was kinda falling back into her soul as a way of just Getting On With Shit or protecting herself, but now it’s framed in a fun new way of please can i get out of here now. good job glynda. look at u GROUNDING YRSELF like a CHAMP who should have been in a TKO LIKE FIVE ROUNDS AGO--
What did that mean? Had she asked Cinder about Ochre? Glynda struggled to recall, but the memories swirled like clouded ink in her skull.
i still love the continuation of glynda’s Mysterious Messages To Herself. she leads such a thrilling life of ‘did i write that’ and ‘did i do that’ and ‘what does any of this mean’
Hating herself, Glynda found she couldn’t remember.
and also a less thrilling life of the squeaky clown shoes variety. glynda PLEASE
She had to know: was anything Cinder had given her real?
the YOU and the US,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the DESTINY. dw babe im sure cinder Has Never Told A Lie, Even Once In Her Life, On Account Of Being A Very Open And Honest Person,
Had she been abandoned? Cinder had been unhappy when she left. Angry, maybe. Angry enough to take her leave for good? Or had she always planned to?
i love watching glynda slowly become kind of,,,,,,,,,,,, more aware of herself in relation to other people? sometimes she still Moves or Does w/o rly thinking it thru, but we’ve got quite a change from, like, early chapters of glynda where she was barrelling along with VERY little disregard for both actions AND consequences,,, but look at her now!!!!!!! using her whole ass BRAIN. im proud of her.
When she tried to dismiss this first fear, another one was waiting underneath: had something happened to Cinder?
In her attempts to keep Glynda’s soul from smothering them both, Cinder had been quite willing to converse over the phone with her—even if her texts were short and snippy, she usually at least responded, to avoid backlash. Did she not care anymore? Or—
Or was she unable to?
/leans in, like, uncomfortably close to the microphone
glynda darling i do Not mean 2 worry u but yr (future) gf is currently grieving, pissed beyond belief, and also
/checks notes
failing her way into becoming strawberry jam
But, surprisingly, there was another half to Glynda now: one that worried, despite facts, that Cinder was in danger. That Cinder might need her.
GO AND GET THE GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The light caught in every golden thread of her crown emblem, embroidered with diligent precision. But something else caught her eye: the midnight black surrounding it had a sheen to it. Subtle red ducked through the fabric, glittering like burnished stars in a distant night sky: fire Dust.
The flash of a memory: Cinder’s face when Glynda had complained that her last cape had been burned.
This cape would not burn.
okay so no lie i cant read this bit without my eyes starting to water abt just how GOOD this section is and i have cried TOO MANY TIMES over this fic ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T H A N K Y O U F O R T H E F O O D !
CINDER MADE IT FIREPROOF. SHE DIDNT HAVE TO. SHE DIDNT NEED TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT THE SYMBOLISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS U N R E A L. I AM CRYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
GO GET THE GIRL YOU MORON
Glynda didn’t know what to do.
Glynda dialed Winter.
and i am INSTANTLY launched back into the comedy that is glynda goodwitch’s life at large THANKS FOR THE WHIPLASH
“No, I mean… I was awful to you the last time we spoke. I know I was. I keep thinking about it. I’m so sorry, I just… Don’t have anyone else to go to right now. I don’t know who else I’d call.” It was horrible to admit. Loneliness had never shamed her before because her soul had held it at bay. Now it made her sick. “I’m safe. If you don’t want to talk to me…”
LOOK AT THIS CHARACTER GROWTH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, GLYNDA!!!!!!!! YR DOIN SO WELL BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE COME LOOK AT HER THINKING WITH HER M I N D.
“I lashed out at you, Professor Goodwitch. That wasn’t right of me. I should have known that you weren’t truly to blame for what you said. I know Cinder. She’s manipulative. She twists the world and makes you think she’s a different person than who she really is. I blamed you in the moment, but Cinder Fall is truly the person at fault for making you believe that I would try to hurt you. I shouldn’t have raised my voice or said the things I did.”
/rubs face
like winter needs to be in this fic and og was bereft not having her actually take up 30% of the space as she DESERVES, but god i forgot that shes a whole Thing and winter please just. shush. for a moment. for a second. ilusm. but please shut up.
Glynda was pacing, her Scroll levitating near her.
side note but casual uses of glyndas semblance is one of my fav things i love seeing it. glynda ‘look mom no hands’ goodwitch out here,
Glynda closed her eyes. The tactile recollection of cats arching, bristling, and spitting. Backed into corners. “Maybe she was panicking. I don’t know.”
i dont rly have much to say here other than continuing to enjoy Cinder As Cat, the ongoing metaphor. glyndas just gonna pick her up the scruff of the neck eventually and we will ALL b thankful.
ughghghgb im not gonna copy paste this whole convo w/ winter because this is a liveblog not a shitty projection of the fic on the side wall of a bowling alley, BUT GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD glynda is so WORRIED,,,,,,,,,,, past glynda is befuddled. bemused. why does future glynda Feel so much. but future glynda is FEELING and i love her. das yr gf yr worried abt. DAS HER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and also yr other gf winter too but like that’s a long-con sort of egg to hatch,
While it had been some time now since Glynda had been in a proper fight, she expected no trouble. This wasn’t Cinder—ergo: this wasn’t a real threat to her. Still, she would bide her time and hold her silence, if only for the chance of getting a hint of what was going on.
This wasn’t Cinder—ergo: this wasn’t a real threat to her.
LADS,,,, LADIES,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, BEANS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, IS IT GAY,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, TO SEE YR RIVAL AS YR ONLY REAL THREAT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The group crossed the room as one unit, guns aloft and eyes peeled, determined to not be ambushed.
Glynda intended to ambush them regardless.
i dont like 2 say when an au gets a character so right that all other interpretations aren’t valid, but.......................... offal hunt gets glynda so right that all other interpretations aren’t valid, and thats that, on that,
One left. Glynda didn’t hesitate. She had been built to fight Grimm; far stronger, far quicker, far more bestial foes than these. She was herself a blade, sharpened far too fine for these intruders.
sounds hot
“Are they...alive?”
Glynda didn’t pause to check.
“Professor? Are they alive?”
glynda: fuck them kids
“How will you get to her?” Winter asked.
“I always find her in the end,” Glynda answered.
hrm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i wonder if that’s foreshadowing something
Her soul was churning inside her, longing for solace, for Cinder. She could picture the way like a burning trail in her mind’s eye; that bright-yellow tether between herself and Cinder, that pathway between their souls that she had tread so many times before. It always led her to Cinder.
HRM,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I WONDER,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
“Good luck, Glynda.”
“Thank you,” she said again, pausing under the streetlights. “But I won’t need luck. I’ll find her.”
FELLAS,
what a good chapter!!!!!!!!!!! also i cried. BUT I HAD A REAL GOOD TIME. I CAN IMAGINE THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE LESS OF A GOOD TIME, BUT FOR NOW, I WILL ENJOY THE MENTAL IMAGE OF GLYNDA’S BICEPS AND HER FUTURE WEDDING ALSO,

its 11:59 its still technically tonight so
this is gonna be my reference point to questions abt venezuela, at least regarding things pre- May 19 2019. Its a bit scattered and it may get edited down along the road, but yeah.
short version that draws some similar conclusions: https://www.salon.com/2019/05/17/the-plot-to-kill-venezuela_partner/
one difference in scales that’s important to keep in mind: the lifespan of people is 2-7 decades. the lifespan of colonialism lasts centuries. the lifespan of media memory is a couple years, tops.
Most western narratives of venezuela start meaningfully at chavez, which is a mistake. The focus point in history around which the country flowed was the Caracazo. You probably already know about this, but a massive uprising took place in the heart of Caracas, against decades of dictatorship both formal and informal, after severe instability in the global oil market. The people were hungry, the riots were fiery, and the bullets bled. knows the death toll even now, but its estimated well into the thousands.  This happened pre-chavez, and started a cascade of events which brought him into limelight that you can read about here. not gonna go into more venezuelan history, but i talk a bit more here
chavez was democratically elected, multiple times.
in 2002, after his first democratic election, he was kidnapped by US-backed troops and replaced by someone who threw out the 1999 constitution, which was as legitimate as any other made in venezuela’s colonial and violently capitalist history, seeing as it was the first (aka only, so far) of 26 constitutions actually approved by popular referendum. He was reinstated largely due to massive protests in support of him. Maduro however doesn’t really have as much of the charisma and support of chavez, which is creating problems - as well as exacerbating problems created by the economic crises ramping up just around chavez’s death. In 2015, there were elections to the National Assembly, which ended up with the Opposition winning a majority of the seats (which does show that there’s some degree of fairness in the elections, at least verifiably up til that point, yet that isnt rly accounted for when western media describes it as “undemocratic” - many of whom don’t apply the same scrutiny to their own country: such as this UN Human Rights councilor who also happens to be the crown prince of british-iraq, currently residing in the noted democracy of the Kingdom of Jordan, which has no vested interest or control over any particular export of Venezuela.).
This turnout showed most of all that maduro had alienated as many as 2 million of his supporters, who didnt end up voting (though many also voted against him - trying to act on their feeling that whatever they want, its “not this”). This decreasing support also accelerates whats known as “Everyday Sabotage” - people not trusting in the government, and look out for their own interests contra everyone else. This is a danger inherent to tying “Socialism” to a primarily state project.
However 1999 Constitution was never meant as an eternal document & it created mechanisms to call for new popular constitutional referendums to be held. That’s what the “Constituent Assembly” is about, which is what a lot of the western world is describing as him singlehandedly rewriting it (while also being “vague about its contents”), or “created by him”. Elections to the constituent assembly were boycotted by opposition, so that it would be government controlled & look like a sham in the eyes of the broader world. That being said, the assembly was called both as a reaction to losing election but also in response to intensifying crises - it was put forth (i don’t see any reason to believe in bad faith) as a way to come together and figure out how to address the needs that were driving people to protest - to address the desire for “not this”, but bc of the uncertainty, it was easily twistable by reactionaries by putting all emphasis on the former. Also timing corresponds with increasing fears of maduro straying from the path of chavez, the image of scrapping one of his strongest plays for smth unknown is risky - tho if there are other meaningful options given the situation im not sure. And the body’s got at least as much constitutional legitimacy as Guaido  (Chapter III)
The 1999 constitution also enabled a recall election to be called against maduro in 2016, bc it was written with particular attention to holding public officials accountable - similar noble commitments helped to end the presidency of Rousseff & bring in Bolsonaro (who was also one of the people spurring on the investigations and whipping up a social base).
     (speaking of guaido & bolsonaro)
on Guaido:
part of student group in 2007 protesting against non-renewal of coup-assisting network, who the CFR (one of the major think tanks of the cold war still playing a big role in foreign policy today) considered “most important network”
close friend of Leopoldo Lopez, the aforementioned coup plotter.
politician since 2010, won a couple small elections
Unknown to majority of general population until 2019, most venezuelans surveyed didnt know him
Plan Pais
plans to privatize state owned industry & allow investment from foreign oil companies
center-right neoliberal draped in platitudes of “stability”, “revitalization”, “security”, and “rescue” - a message seemingly deliberately targeted to become more and more resonant with increased sanctions.
/on Guaido
governing is about the expression of power. I wanna live in a world where that power isn’t expressed, but as long as the exploitation of the global working class continues unabated, id prefer some of that power be put towards helping the poor.
there is no such thing as a static state of affairs, there’s no “goldilocks zone” out in the political universe where we tweak things finely until we find whats best for everyone, only different rates of change in different dimensions. what we need to do is figure out how we can push that state of affairs in a direction so that everyday people have the power to take control of their lives. re
re: “constitutionality” - if the supreme court calls it constitutional then its constitutional. period. There’s no such thing as a supreme court as an “independent branch” of government, but there are different degrees of integration into the rest of it.
The Supreme Tribunal of Venezuela has 32 members, (a bit more than a dozen put in by the national assembly, while the PSUV held it), and the opposition holds abt 3 away from a supermajority. Each member of the court holds their spot for 12 years. If that’s “The Most Corrupt In The World” according to Transparency International, i wonder what world the 9-person lifetime-appointed US Supreme Court (2 of which appointed by trump, and save for pulling a Weekend At Ginsbergs, likely 3) is on. In fact, one of the tactics that the more radical circles of democrat voters are putting forward is to pack the Supreme Court. Because thats how shit actually gets done, or at the least how shit is prevented from being committed w the stamp of legality. FDR learned that lesson too, in trying to pass what is today known as “The New Deal”
My comparisons to trump are for specific end: these actions are exerted on levers of liberal democracy, and every single liberal democracy is susceptible to them in some ways.
whats a “dictator”? if hes unelected, the millions of people who participated in the elections dont seem to think so. if maduro is a dictator, then what is donald trump? the majority of ppl didnt vote for him yet hes still governing. macron’s popularity has at several points been less than 1/3, and the yellow vest protestors have been violently attacked - why is he not “a violent dictator with only the support of the military”? These terms are not neutral.
“their elections are highly flawed” So What? show me a country whose elections arent.
“opposition jailed” - ok but coup plotters don’t get off easy in any liberal democracy. If someone - say Bernie Sanders - said “enough is enough” and succeeded in overthrowing the current government with the help of a foreign government…. you think they’d let him go free? what if ten years later he was getting his supporters all riled up to do it again? how long you think he’d be in jail for (assuming he can survive well into his 100’s)? You think more than 13 years? Think he’d get house arrest? Some US states lock you up for posessing weed up to 10. If you stay long enough around this blog, youll find plenty of other examples of much more cruel and unusual punishments. Look at Chelsea Manning, look at Oscar Riviera…   look at the US protestors saying Guaido is illegitimate
what we have to keep in mind most of all, is to show that the contradictions being exploited are inherent to Liberalism. Contradictions are just expressed most freely at the margins - the interstices
poor economic decisions happen everywhere - 2008/2009 still affecting the entire world there’s violence thats “natural”, and violence thats “intolerable”. The dividing line is whether we have anything to gain by changing things.
sanctions:    started under obama, originally targeted specific individuals, used as precedent for more generalized. They’re indirect - they have a “squeezing effect”, takes already-existing problems & just makes them markedly worse. also doesn’t necessarily correlate with emigration, bc it takes a lot of money to start a new life somewhere else, and sanctions disproportionately affect the poor.
war wouldnt likely look like (many) US boots on the ground - we’ve got plenty of other places to be. It’d look like guns being smuggled to counter-protestors. It’d look like sending resources to neighboring countries like Colombia or Brazil who would then use their troops. Colombias ruling party is right wing populists - much of current president’s campaign was run on fearmongering abt venezuelan socialism - they’re raring to go. It’d look like drones https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caracas_drone_attack. Also means there likely won’t be a sudden trigger, its a gradually escalating stressful gradually-more-warlike situation.
If war does break out - where would the refugees go?  In reality the majority would go to Colombia, but if anything significant breaks out there will be a stream of those looking to find shelter in the US, which has advertised itself as a beacon of hope - what would happen to them? some may get taken in as a gesture of showmanship, but nowhere close to the majority.
speaking of the US - imagine if trump and bolton manage to actually plot a winning coup. Do you think that that wont be his main bullwark against ppl like Bernie? you think the media and rest of the democratic party wont jump on that narrative and “begrudgingly” support a fascist because the alternative might mean supporting single payer and not-having-good-for-ratings-climate-apocalypse?
another term thrown around without regard is “once vibrant” - for whom?
most articles ive seen just take this as an axiom, and dont find any cognitive dissonance when also saying chavez reduced poverty hugely.
Tumblr media
The answer to that rhetorical question: Citgo is venezuelan, before chavez none of the wealth went back to venezuela - thats what “vibrancy” means.
     many similarities with BP (the-artist-formerly-known-as-the-anglo-iranian-oil-company)
in age of climate change & vocal ppl about phasing out oil, the more one’s livelihood is connected to oil, the more unstable ones country will be - either that, or the more instability ones country will cause.
“Oil exports fell by $2,200 per capita from 2012 to 2016, of which $1,500 was due to the decline in oil prices.”
The drop in price that affected the venezuelan economy so much in 2014 was largely by US shale fracking
Tumblr media
in 1970’s Chile, copper was the main product of Chile - allende nationalized the mines, and in return wall street dropped the
(also worth noting that venezuela’s got non-insignificant untapped shale basins)
At least venezuela used the oil money to fund social programs instead of like, pad the pockets of Raytheon.
also oil price wars in africa highly correlated w oil (whose annual production doesn’t even combined total venezuelas)
a couple ppl have raised concerns abt my strong stance on equivocal dismissal - if there’s a difference, if there’s some way of reading your statement that says “X country that the State Dept wants to invade is an anomoly in the otherwise free world”, then that’s acting to push the discourse towards normalization & invasion. It’s not “whataboutism”, just basic consistency.
now more than ever, narratives are affected by people. They may not be ones we had a hand in forging, but the way that we propagate them actually does have measurable effects on the larger-scale political outcomes. Always look for the base assumptions, as well as the direction
sure denounce Chavez. sure denounce Maduro. denounce Kim, Xi, Castro, anyone. But if there’s no equally or proportionally loud denunciations of the horrors perpetrated by allies - the “assumed”, “natural” violence, then you’re acting to reinforce the narrative of exceptionalism.
Just make sure after you take a breath, you denounce Saudi Arabia & Yemen, Israel for Palestine, the conditions which brought Argentinian/Brazillian, Brazilian coup, the US for Puerto Rico, the conditions which have murdered dozens of journalists in Mexico per year…
what people want most of all is stability. “A debate over whether it is mismanagement and corruption by the Maduro government or the sanctions that are the author of the crisis is largely irrelevant. The point is that a combination of the reliance on oil revenues and the sanctions policy has crushed the policy space for any stability in the country.”
government’s errors and tensions
fixed exchange rate -> black market
took 5 years to address changing relation between dollar & BsF, all the room between those two curves left a huge room for intensifying crises, though since it also corresponds with the death of chavez, it sorta makes sense.
antidemocratic actions and remarks by maduro
scattered responses filled w half-solutions
diversification needed, but how do you diversify an economy filled with rampant poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy…
(nominally begrudging) support for mineral extraction 12.4% of territory opened to extraction - “Special Economic Zone” as a method of managing decay
this is also what much of the reality of “economic diversification” looks like
not enough socialism. (even fox agrees!) Venezuela shows the limits of Social Democracy in countries living outside of the Imperial Core - esp the dangers if you’re in the crosshairs already bc of oil
started out as populism, gradually grew as confronted more.            shows shaping influence on political organs from actions of foreign actors - if you’ve survived a coup before, you’re gonna become paranoid about any more of them - especially when the coup plotters say “hey lets do more coups”
also shows the weakness of only having a small number of charasmatic faces representing the movement - if one dies and theres no clear and popular replacement, then you’ll lose ppl who were largely brought in by the charisma, weakening your political project, and creating cracks for reactionary forces to take advantage of - especially in times of transition.
bourgeoisie still control a majority of the economy.            Capitalist businesses are internally unaccountable, and in this age of intensified global trade, one can punish countries for straying from the pack by moving business & focus away. If you’re looking for dictatorships, look at the thousands of private companies run as dictatorships daily
capital flight is a real effect, precisely because socialism is fundamentally and irreconcilably against the self-interest of the bourgeoisie. not necessarily against the interest of the humans-who-are-also-bourgeois, but of the impersonal self-sustaining force of capital.
Have you ever pulled something out of an electrical socket, and seen a quick spark? The reason that occurs is bc of what’s called an induction current, which is a fancy physics word for flowing electricity not liking to suddenly change its flow. If you accidentally touch that spark, you might feel it, but youll live to tell the tale. But if you only take the plug out halfway & touch it, that’s a different story.  Capital flows similarly.
my country (lithuania) has been facing sky-high emigration since the collapse of the USSR (with an added boost after 08-09), we have also consistently had one of the highest suicide rates in the world (#7), a minimum wage of about 3 Euros an hour (after a recent increase), as well as one of the highest prison populations in Europe (discounting Russia & Belarus… which like….)
when are we gonna be invaded? when will the US media talk about our pain?
oh wait, they did. We cried all pretty for the TV cameras, then they got a bozo nobody really knew of to denounce the government, who they called dictatorial (though it was far from ideal, massive bureaucracies dont tend to mix well with single-person-decision-making). And to be fair, the fact that the government was unpopular wasnt entirely undeserved. But what was promised to us was the idea of “Freedom”, “Free Enterprise”; to “Get Rid of Corruption” and institute “Real” Democracy". They said we’d be integrated into the glorious capitalist west, and we understood that to mean that we’d be in the position of a Germany, or at least an Austria or smth. But they never meant to integrate us into the imperial Core, we have always been seen as part of the Periphery - the “assumed” violence that “naturally” happens.
Then we got to where we our today. Some of the stuffs more available, but expensive. Most of the bureaucracy’s still around, it just helps fewer people. We stand as an example of what to expect, in one of the best case scenarios, you would join our emigrees now making up a significant percentage of underpaid house-servants aka maids across the EU.
if we want the people of Venezuela to be healthy, safe, and fulfilled, then:
speak out and pointing to the effects of US sanctions is incredibly important. They’ve already killed 40,000 people in the last year, and 300,000 more are in extreme danger (and millions more in long-term risk).
what does it mean when you simultaneously sanction trade with a place but also demand they let you give them humanitarian aid?
if there is to be action taken by the international community, then the US has forfeited its right to speak. They threw it away once in 2002, and obama rhetorically picked it up and dusted it off so that trump could throw it in a bigger dumpster, thats also on fire. However we also still live in a world deeply shaped by US Hegemony, so the opinions of its close trade partners & closest-knit media buds should be seen as influenced as such. Doesn’t mean that theyre wrong on everything too, but they still feel the magnetic pull of the US economy and ecosystem (as well as their own potentially imperial interests) and the effect of that force cannot be discounted.
transitioning our economies away from oil & away from globalized neoliberalism which only values peripheral states by their exports - dissolves tensions of how to produce in unproductive terrain
socialize medicine in the US, so that drug companies run by dictatorships can’t control their lives & ours. healthcare is especially reliant on imports, sanctions affect especially strongly.
normalize the ideas of Socialism, without taking the easy way out of “oh no dont think of Venezuela, think of sweden or denmark”. None of them are Socialist, but to avoid the complexities of Venezuela is to imagine that US attempts at socialism wouldn’t involve significant capital flight. If we don’t consider that, if we don’t have solid actionable plans to deal with that, while also facing the inherent complexity of changing material conditions, then we’re gonna waste whatever shot we get.
redirect conversation normally centered around government towards support of the tens of thousands of small business co-operatives, where people live their daily lives in a democratic manner.
on The Communes:
“delegating responsibility throughout all members, and bringing important decisions to the whole to work through and find the best possible solution… They create “collective criteria” together; agreements stipulating whether individuals have power over certain decisions or whether it is up to the whole group. However, he assures that these “are not rigid, they can change at any moment.” The cooperative I lived with in Venezuela had regular organizational meetings where they informally came to agreement and were even able to come back to re-evaluate decisions that didn´t seem to be satisfactory for the whole group in this same way. Decisions and decision making, in this way, are viewed as a process not contained by meetings and discussions in board rooms, but are always being analyzed and made better by the process of putting them into action, and not only by thinking them out and writing them down.”
- the “Self Government of the Producers” - aka what it looks like for cooks to govern.
they have communal councils as well - neighborhood councils in the same vein that so many (rightfully) find inspiring in Kurdistan . They preexisted chavez, but they were able to proliferate and be given legal recognition through him. I understand that legal recognition can act to ‘name’ a body & pin it to smth that doesn’t match its requisite variety - how dynamic it is, but imo as its currently legislated it recognizes a good amount of the autonomy that they had already been excersizing. - liable to change                                government recognition of co-ops has drawbacks too, and correlates negatively with that coop’s success
"A good example of this intention is the de-emphasis that cooperatives in Venezuela put on advertising or “marketing” products, and instead push to find more people to become part of the cooperative, and choose the services or products they provide based on community decisions about what is needed. A cooperative I worked in […] was originally a family owned and operated theater group that traveled around the country performing theater pieces that highlighted social and environmental issues. When they joined the […] cooperative, the larger co-op did an analysis and decided they wanted a natural fruit juice concentrate producer and gave the group a loan to acquire capital and start producing. They have been doing this for only a couple of years now but have already paid back the loan to the larger cooperative and are bringing extra money in to support themselves, better their services, and supply extra funds to the larger cooperative for community projects such as the recently [2012] built community health center…
The cooperative services I experienced and learned about in Venezuela were health, dental, food, and a separate example of trash services. A dental cooperative […] provides quality dental services (I know because I used them) almost every day for affordable prices. You don´t have to be a member of the cooperative, and you don´t have to make an appointment. It takes only a couple of hours, and emergency situations are treated with urgency. The health center, built with funds provided by all the associated cooperatives[…], works the same way. Anyone can go there, the services are subsidized by the cooperative so they are affordable, the clinic and workspaces are clean and well taken care of, and the quality of the service is great. Worker-members of the cooperative receive health care at the facility without charge except for the massage and acupuncture services that they also provide at a really low price.
[…] food services are priced to provide more access to food for the community in which it exists. The original and persistent intention is to make the best situation for people on all ends of the process. The producers are part of the cooperative and are part of the group that decides the prices that growers get, as well as the prices that the food is sold for. This means that both farmers and workers at the market decide what to charge a person, which ultimately affects how much money the growers receive, as well as if the food is affordable for the people who need to eat who live in the city. In a normal capitalist market system these parties are separated and put up against each other, raising prices for consumers and lowering them for small producers, excluding those people from getting enough money to afford all the necessities that are typically only provided at a high price.
One communal council, a parallel governing organization of community members linked to investment funds from the national government, in the city of Merida, Venezuela organized themselves to get funds to buy a trash collection truck. The truck at the time was used for a specific waste removal project that removed waste from their community regularly but was not a traditional collection service. However, they did have plans to expand the project to start their own collection service, and this would be provided by the commal council, an anti-capitalist organization which does not require people to pay for the service. Although this is not a “co-operative” as some hardliner co-operative enthusiasts might point out, it is a horizontal anti-capitalist organization widening access of necessary services to the larger community run by community members; following cooperative values of equity, inclusion, and solidarity I believe this to be an example of cooperative economics and action. It appears to me that economic inclusion is much more likely to widen only when those who are being excluded are included in the process of organizing the services and are in control of the economy.“
until the communes, workers cooperatives, and the like are strong enough to rule themselves, having Maduro in power is the only option given to us which doesn’t trigger the control of reactionaries. People make their own history, but not in situations of their choosing - the exact outcome isn’t predetermined, but there’s only a limited number of poles - gravitational attractors - towards which that trajectory is heading at any particular time.
if maduro acts to squash the power of the communes, then thats a different situation. but until that point, we outside of the country must work to center any discussion on these bodies - they are the heart of the country and of whatever social revolution has occurred/is further possible. They are filled with lessons for us to learn from, and show how rich and dynamic the organized populace can be if they are allowed to control their communities. (ex of dealing with gang violence from @ 22:50)
This is all said with recognition that many chavistas have acted against communes, the bureaucratic machine acts to co-opt much of their energy, its linguistically obscured the concept of "ownership” with that of “control”, and that the state has changed its messages over time. But the heart of the communes is what’s a priority, and they have acted against the government overstepping its bounds & mis-identifying them. But whats important is that there’s a feedback process in the gvt to actually allow them to assert their autonomy. Liberals will do their utmost to close those channels.
If Guaido and the Popular Will take control of power, be assured that whatever gains made in organizing the everyday people of Venezuela will be at the top of the chopping block. How effective that suppression turns out to be is undetermined - it might turn out to strengthen the communes, but that outcome would be damage control, not something to try and bullseye.
Effective Propaganda knows that its more effective to control what’s left out than control what’s put in. Keep that in mind, and study trajectories and forces.

Note
… so. about that "Cicero was gay for Pompey" bit.
Yes. That bit. Ok.
I went for a trip up to my loft for my A-level notes for this bit because the idea of searching for all the quotes I want to back me up was frightening when I knew I had it all written down somewhere already.
in the 50s BC Cicero was exiled! Bye bye Cicero, no one likes you- the whole reason for his exile is kinda long but basically he was a political block at this point and he needed to go (I say this as someone who has had to translate his writing and honestly when he drags a sentence on for 10 lines you get a little murder-y). In response to this we have writing from Plutarch on the whole situation. At this point Cicero wasn’t exiled, but it was definitely not a good situation for him and it was either meet Clodius with an army and fight or flee.
Importantly these quotes:‘Cicero appealed to Pompey for help, but Pompey had purposefully got out of the way and was staying at his country house in the Alban hills’- now I dont know about you but that does not seem like something someone would do if they were just friends. this seems like far too guilt driven of a move for that.Cicero then sent his son in law to appeal for help and Pompey ‘could not face seeing him. He was bitterly ashamed when he remembered how in the past Cicero had fought his battles on many important occasions and had often taken a particular line in politics for his sake’- JUST BROS BEING DUDES YA KNOW
Then Plutarch describes how Cicero behaved in his exile (away from Pompey)‘he remained, for the most part, miserable and disconsolate, keeping his eyes fixed, like a distressed lover, on Italy; his spirit was not great enough to rise above his misfortunes, and he became more dejected than one would have thought possible’But, Imogen, I hear you cry, he could have just been sad about leaving his home. This is true. But ‘distressed lover’ just seems awfully well picked here.
But now we move on for more evidence of why Cicero was gay for Pompey to Cicero’s recall in 57BC. So at this point this Clodius dude has kinda taken over and he’s just not nice and the nobility do not like him. And we get this wonderful line from Plutarch again‘Pompey bitterly reproached himself for the way he had abandoned Cicero… he did everything he could to have Cicero recalled’As did the senate and others who were also being terrorised so it is a lot about self preservation I will admit. I just think it’s interesting that Plutarch singled out Pompey so much when you also had Caesar and Crassus floating around at the time.
Furthermore, while Cicero was exiled and people were talking badly about Pompey, something that never really happened before, supposedly ‘the senate were delighted to see him being insulted in this way, regarding it as nothing more than he deserved for betraying Cicero’- Again, why single him out Plutarch? Hmmm?? Hmmm?? And just the line as well sounds like a group of friends taking a side in a break up. And it wasn’t until Cicero was back that he ‘reconciled’ Pompey and the senate and Pompey ended up ‘virtually the master of all Roman possessions by sea and land’- this seems like supportive, and very forgiving, bf stuff to me.
In addition to this, we have Cicero’s known dislike of Caesar and I’m pretty sure it was mutual. Cicero in his own letters blames Caesar for Pompey abandoning him, essentially saying he has been dripping poison in his ear because his Pompey would never do such a thing without that. or that might just be a sense I get from them.
Also from Cicero’s own letters, this one written to Atticum after his recall, he writes that he ‘named me as the chief and said I should be his alter ego in all things’ (this is after Pompey takes charge of the grain supply due to shortage and demand for it).
My favourite bit of evidence for this comes from another letter Cicero wrote to Atticum in which he writes:‘Pompeius, my hero, has brought about his own ruin, a fact that causes me great pain.’ He continues to disagree with everyone Caesar and Pompey are doing to Roman politics at the time but says ‘But I do not oppose it there cause because of my friendship with [Pompey]’. And even though Cicero does not agree with what Pompey is doing and reminisces of old times where Pompey was applauded for his actions, he still says ‘Pompeius shows considerable favour towards me; he declares Clodius will not say one word against me’
Another letter Cicero writes about Pompey during the dislike of him. ‘Our dear friend Pompey… now a physically disfigured and mental wreck… I could not hold back my tears when I saw him on the 25th July addressing a meeting of the people about the edicts of Bibulus. What a sight! Crassus alone enjoyed it… He had fallen from the stars… it was with deep sorrow that I, who had painted and perfected this man with all the colours of my art now suddenly saw him disfigured. Though none thought that I should be his friend on account of the business with Clodius (the whole exile thing), such was my affection for him that no injury could exhaust it… they [the edicts against Pompey] are excessively cruel to one for whom I have always felt affection’
Cicero even quotes Pompey in one of his letters to Atticum! And also just reading his letters you get a sense of Cicero trying to absolve Pompey of any blame for the republic falling.
Until you get nearer the end when Cicero is very obviously mad at Pompey for disregarding his counsel and bolstering Caesar’s career. BUT he does write ‘all this I will pass over’ as if to say, oh well it’s been done, I still love him, until he says that is because he departure from Rome was even more shameful and irrational than anything else he’d done. BUT HE IS STILL TRYING TO REACH POMPEY! ‘Where shall I find safety until I can reach Pompey?’ so even though he is angry at Pompey for bolstering this man who is destroying the republic he still wants to go to him. It also seems to be that although Cicero is mad at Pompey for going head to head with Caesar to gain control of Rome, he is angrier still at the people who are betraying Pompey.
And there ya go. I am sure I could find more evidence and quotes if I was so inclined, however, ya girl can only read so much of Cicero in one day before she wants to tear her eyes out. So. In conclusion. Cicero gay for Pompey, and possibly vice versa.

Dear World, a poem
Dear World
Half the time I dont deserve you
And the other half I dont want you
Sometimes I need you
But those times you dont want me
And when you want me
I cant stand you
Most times I push you away
And when I finally am up to dealing
You cant stand me either
Dear World
I'm harsh and broken
And half the time I blame you for it
And I push you so far from me
That half the time I regret being alone
Yet I know I'll never stop
Because sometimes I cant stand you
And you cant stand me
And we've both gotten used to being without
Even though we probably need the other
To even think of being whole again
Dear World
I'd apologize if I knew the right way to say I'm sorry
But with how lucky you are
How difficult you act
How easy it is to say the wrong thing
And offend you
I dare not try
As all I'd ever do is make everything worse
Because with my luck and your Cheshire way of being
I'll never get the words right
Dear World
Do you understand how difficult it is to exist in your presence
How hard it is to smile on a rainy day and mean it
How hard it is to smile and mean it in general
I smile so often in a fake grin
I'm afraid I've forgotten what an honest smile feels like
It shouldn't have to feel forced
And yet nonetheless it is
Dear World
I'd like you to apologize
Just once
If you can bring yourself to do that
But knowing you
You'll stumble over your words and blame me for everything
All over and over
You've done it before
What's to stop you from doing it again
Dear World
You know not the hell you've put me through
And I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds fault with you
But I hold you accountable for all your mistakes and such against me
How dare you act as you do
Carefree one minute and cruel as a storm the next
I cannot forgive you
Not that you'd apologize anyways
At least not in a way that would matter
Dear World
I'm not sure why you say what you say
Then turn around and do the opposite
Parading me around as though you own me
I'm sure I was once yours
But I havent been for a long while now
I am not yours
Something I find myself repeating in mantra
Attempting to remind myself of my freedom
Its difficult to recall
With how deep you've dug your claws into me
Unknowingly destroying me in the progress
Dear World
Stop trying to guilt trip me
It hasn't worked in years
Because I've realised your tricks and manipulation
And I've started ignoring them at every instance
Much to your chagrin
I'm not at fault for not knowing things
Or not doing things
I beat myself up enough as it is
Why try to make me feel worse
Dear World
Damn you in your miscellaneous ways
Your every callous phrase and action
You in your Cheshire grin and frown
Your falseness
Your everything
Dear World
It's funny how you dont even realize you're insulting me
But you do it so easily and often
That really can you blame me for getting worked up
For getting mad
For ranting
And making you cry
And making you make a scene
And making something all about you
And how much I've insulted you when I havent
I have done nothing wrong
I have done nothing against you
But ask you to call me a different name
And you still refuse because apparently I've insulted you
And people that are dead and dont care anyways
So just stop and try to respect me
For once
Dear World
You probably think this poem
Is all about you
And about how much we cant get along
You probably assume that I hate you
I love you
But I hate you all the same
I cant stand you
But I dont want you to blame me
Most likely you'll blame yourself
Have fun with no one to pity you
Dear World
It's funny isnt it
Leaving breadcrumbs
Particles of me behind
In words and writings and things
I hope you dont mind
Theres not really a trial to follow
It's just all random nonsensical chaos
As you know
My thoughts are fleeting shadows
Dear World
I know how you act
High and mighty one minute
A lame lamb the next
You are neither yet both
A cruel cunning cretin
With a snakes tongue and guise
I hope you reap what you've sown
This to entire history my story now known
Dear World
By the time you've read this
My life away will have withered and wove
Bonne nuit
Je vais dormir ausi

TEXT REVIEW OF INFINITY WAR
UNFOLLOW ME IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ THESE SPOILERS I DONT USE THIS ACCOUNT SEE IF I CARE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Seriously this is gonna have spoilers go away if you dont wanna see.
I liked it. Kinda want to see it again and may change my mind on stuff at a later date but I want to get these thoughts out while they’re in my mind.
1. STORY STRUCTURE:  The structure of this film is weird? But not really. It makes sense once you realize Thanos is the main character. Act One we’re being introduced to all the different heroes, which is done masterfully and paced really well so we never feel overwhelmed despite the sheer size of the cast. Act Two starts once Gamora tells Star Lord he may have to kill her, and then Thanos is re-introduced. I’ll come back to this later but I dislike that there’s a good couple scenes where its just GotG characters interacting with each other with no Avengers around. Like this is an Avengers movie. Couldn’t SOME Avengers character have been around for this Like this is a crossover why are these characters still with just their regular crew? Anyways from then on Thanos’s POV takes center stage. Once Gamora is dead Thanos, like Thor, has nothing he really cares about left to lose. He’s at his lowest, despite also being 2 stones away from infinite power. Act Three begins with him this way, recalling to Doctor Strange his origin, and reasserting his resolve to go through with this. He beats both of the split forces of the Avengers, one on Titan, and the other in Wakanda, and despite nearly being beaten three different times, he manages to snap his fingers. We see the results of the world he’s created, while he sits back and watches the sunset.
I like that they decided to let Thanos win and kill half the universe. I know it’ll traumatize a lot of kids watching the movie, but like, these things are rated PG 13. There have been sex references and character deaths and such in these for a long long time. Its the big bad final battle for the Avengers and they needed a cliff to hang on and so they hung people. I dont believe the people turned to ash will stay dead, but I didn’t expect a happy ending either. PLUS this gives us time to really focus on the characters that need more room to finish their arcs in the real finale.
I like the way the movie is structured. It doesn’t feel overcrowded and it makes a lot of sense when you realize its Thanos’s movie not any of the heroes’. And it helps make Thanos the most developed bad guy in any MCU film. SPEAKING OF WHICH.
2. CHARACTERS: (the long one)
-THANOS: The best bad guy in any MCU film. Not my FAVORITE bad guy in an MCU film though. Loki still holds that title, and if we’re counting the Netflix shows, Fisk and Kilgrave are still PRETTY dope. Thanos is WONDERFUL. But I neither love him or love to hate him. I appreciate what was done with him though. He earns his place as the biggest threat in this universe, despite a lack of real competition. You feel his struggle, even though you really want him to fail. Its really well done. Cant help but wonder why no mention of his love for Lady Death though? I at least expected Hela to show up and be like “SURPRISE IM LADY DEATH” or something idk. We never saw her die in Ragnarok. Is that really not something they’re gonna at least do something off of?
-THOR: despite spending MOST of the movie on what is basically a side quest, he’s the hero who gets the most development. I figured that the way Ragnarok was handled was done specifically to set this up and I got what I expected to fall out from that and then some. I love his arc in this. I love his conversations with Rocket and I love how powerful he is now. He’s just really well handled and I love how he’s developed as a character. Also, side note, I like that each Avengers movie changes which of its members gets the most development. Cap was the one who was still finding his place and going through an arc in the first one, Tony is dealing with paranoia and being the one to create Ultron in AoU, and Thor is still dealing with the death of his people here.
-TONY: I have less to say here. I hate nanite tech being used in pretty much anything. idk why it just bothers me. It always feels dumb. but it was fine here actually. I love his conflict with Strange and Peter and the other Peter. I love that he has to deal with watching everyone else die. The whole movie plays on your expectation that Tony is going to die in the end and then COMPLETELY subverts that and I love it.
-DOCTOR STRANGE: Great. Comes off a little more of a jerk than he does in his own film but we also mainly see him through the eyes of Tony, so I think thats why. I love his magic and how smart and calculated he is in combat compared to the other characters. The Russos are VERY aware and very good at showing the characters’ character traits via how they fight which is good considering how much action there is in this movie.
-SPIDER-MAN: I swear he’s more competent here than in his own movie. Also we see SPIDEY SENSE GO OFF which we NEVER SEE HAPPEN IN HIS OWN MOVIE. He still doesn’t REALLY feel like Peter Parker though which is weird bc he almost did by the end of Homecoming and now here he just kinda reverted back out of that.
-GAMORA: Really great. Somewhere in between Guardians 1 and now she stopped being every single one of Zoe Saldana’s characters in anything ever to being a pretty fleshed out character. Though its kinda weird that Thanos’s other children in this movie are so much more loyal to him than her and Nebula are? Like whats up with them? Why is Gamora the favorite when she openly hates him?
-STAR-LORD: Great. Not much else to say.
-ROCKET AND GROOT: ALSO great. They’re especially great as sidekicks to Thor. They have some great exchanges, even if their screentime was primarily spent on a side quest. I nearly squealed when Groot used his arm to create the Stormbreaker Axe. I’m annoyed Groot died again at the end. WE’VE SEEN ROCKET MOURN GROOT’S DEATH BEFORE THIS ISN’T INTERESTING OR NEW.
-DRAX AND MANTIS: pretty good. I like them both. If anything there’s probably too much of them. I love them so I cant complain too much but like idk I feel like we saw more of these Guardians side characters than some of the Avengers main characters in an Avengers movie.
-WANDA AND VISION: Wanda has always been one of my fav characters in the MCU and that doesn’t change here. Her romance with Vis is great. Honestly I love her whole arc and I love how its foreshadowed by Gamora telling Quill to kill her earlier in the film. Wanda having to lose the closest person to her AGAIN is emotional and sad and everything and idk Elizabeth and Paul give great performances and both do a great job playing some good characters. Vis is basically a damsel in distress the whole film, which seems disingenuous because he’s like the most powerful avenger prior to Thor’s buff over these last couple movies. But I guess it makes sense in context. They’re not GREAT but like I said I like them so I’m biased.
-CAP, FALCON, AND NAT: Kinda useless tbh. They dont do much. They dont even have many lines. Like they fight in the Wakanda battle. Thats it. They’re tired and grumpy because they’ve been on the run for TWO YEARS. Something we dont see at all. Not that thats what I want to see, but... they’re basically just there to shuttle Wanda and Vision to Wakanda and then fight a bit.
-T’CHALLA, OKOYE, SHURI, AND M’BAKU: Even quieter and less notable than the Cap crew. Which really cheapens how much of the film takes place in Wakanda. Like, why does the Cosmic stuff feel authentic to what James Gunn built in the Guardians movies, while this stuff feels so underwritten and underrepresented? We have four Wakandan characters here and they do so hecking little. AND THEN T’CHALLA IS ONE OF THE PEOPLE WE SEE TURN TO ASH. WHAT? WE ALREADY GOT A FAKE OUT DEATH WITH HIM IN HIS OWN MOVIE. I HATED IT THERE. WE GOTTA SEE HIS FAMILY DEAL WITH HIM BEING DEAD AGAIN??? Shuri better become black panther in avengers 4 man. thats the only way I’ll be ok with him dying a SeCONd TiME.
-BUCKY, RHODEY, NICK FURY, MARIA HILL, LOKI, RED SKULL AND HEIMDALL: all play really small parts but manage to do their jobs and be really notable anyways. Shoutouts to them.
-BRUCE BANNER: meh. Bruce has finally kind of accepted the Hulk but Hulk is scared of Thanos so he wont come out. So Bruce spends the whole movie in his head having conflict with himself and not really engaging with whats going on? Kind of a dumb choice imo like if CAP is a minor character whos mainly there to banter with other people so should Banner. We dont even really see him interact with Ross or Rhodes once he gets back to Avengers HQ. dumb but not a big deal.
3. SMALL DETAILS:
-Music was weirdly lacking from a lot of the movie. Like it feels like Silvestri only orchestrated like half of the film. So much of it is just left.. quiet. Empty. This is INFINITY WAR. IT SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT THE SPECTACLE.
-Are Valkyrie, Korg and Miek still alive? We dont see them at all on the Asgardian ship?
-What happened to Sean Gunn’s character? Also wasn’t Nebula still with the Guardians at the end of Vol 2? Did I miss something or...?
-How did Thor know to go to Wakanda? He should have been going to Titan to meet up with Quill, right?
-How does the Bifrost work if the Bifrost is broken? That was a big thing in Thor 1 wasn’t he?
-They didn’t get Hugo Weaving back to play Red Skull but thats fine I still geeked out when he showed up.
-Peter Dinklage was good but he was in the movie too long. Thor’s stuff really felt side questy even though its the best stuff in the film.
I think thats about everything it was good but not GREAT k bye

this is how you introduce a new fandom
#yoiweek2017 Day 1 (Le Parfum Des Fleurs) - beginnings and firsts
Or, how Yuuri was convinced to watch an anime based on his life.
(stories on (and off) ice)
.
It was both flattering and mortifying, Yuuri thought, when a story based on your life and love suddenly skyrocketed in popularity like gossip spreading like a forest wildfire.
He sighed as he watched his sniffling husband from the kitchen. Viktor was crying over yet another episode of this "original fantasy action anime about a no-good mage who meets and falls for the number one ice wizard in the continent." It was really good, they said. The animation was beautiful, the story was riveting and the romance was done perfectly right.
Don't get him wrong; he appreciates a good story as much as the next person does. The love and care and attention to detail that went into the creation of this latest sensation was clearly evident in every frame drawn and every line spoken. It was, no doubt, a wonderful work in its own right. It was even considered by many as a revolutionary piece that broke barriers and made history.
What Yuuri did not appreciate -- and certainly did not expect (though he should have, given the circumstances) -- was the hordes of rabid fans and insatiable tabloid writers that practically crash the door and breathe down his neck every single morning since the first episode aired, and seemed to multiply exponentially by the week.
Chalk it up to very observant people to put two and two together, and your high-profile whirlwind love story is revived and retold again on almost every website and social media platform in existence. The side-by-side comparisons went up to eleven when the seventh episode featured the two leads kissing before the cheering stadium - just like how Viktor, his coach at that time, had kissed him at the Cup of China a mere three years earlier.
The fans became a lot more persistent that day, he recalled. Even the casual passers-by recognized them now. "Oh my god, it's so-and-so! From that show!" (Yuuri could not be bothered to recall the names of the characters.) Viktor eagerly responded to this by kissing him soundly on the lips in public - again.
As always, the Russian's attempts at getting him to watch the new episode together failed spectacularly that night.
.
Yuuri and Viktor were not the only ones whose lives have changed because of the show. Yurio, for one, started receiving hate mail from all sorts of fans - mostly fujoshi, from what he had gathered. Messages ranging from "damn Mudblood" to "inferior Valentin-wannabe", or colorful variations and combinations thereof, began filling the reigning World Champion's inbox at such an alarming rate, he'd actually changed his phone number and locked all his social media accounts by the time the fourth episode had aired.
("I don't even watch that shit," Yurio had lamented in frustration through a private Skype session. "And even I know that Mudblood's from a totally different fandom! What's wrong with these fucking people?!"
That's what you're worried about? Yuuri had been tempted to say out loud, but he'd kept his mouth shut. Maybe it was just the stress of the upcoming Grand Prix Final talking. The men's short program event was the next day, after all. Other than that, he'd completely sympathized with the angry blond.)
Fortunately, the messages stopped when the current episode aired half an hour ago. Yuuri knew at once when his ringtone for Yurio began playing from his pocket and Viktor tearfully joined him in the kitchen at the same time as soon as the livestream finished. "Let's have katsudon pirozhki tomorrow!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining brighter than usual. "To celebrate Julian finally befriending Yoichi!"
"Okay, Viten'ka," Yuuri shrugged, knowing better than to correct his husband on the in-universe pastry the show's tritragonist had just offered the main character. How they even knew about that event between Yurio and himself at Moscow was purely anyone's guess. ("This show is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to real-life persons, places and events is purely coincidental," indeed.)
The phone's vibration gradually increased in intensity as the ringtone segued into the annoying screechy guitar part. (Yuuri never learned how to switch it back after Mila had fiddled with it back when they were in St. Petersburg.) "One moment." He fished out his phone and answered the call, expecting another loud tirade on why the hell he didn't pick up sooner. Instead, he heard heavy breathing over the line, seemingly accentuated by the static.
"... Finally..." Yurio started, his voice unnaturally subdued for someone supposed to be angry. "... They finally stopped..."
Yuuri knew where this was going. "Congratulations for holding out for so long, Yurio," he answered with all compassion. "Are you celebrating tonight?"
"After all that trouble? Of course I am!" The blond loudly harrumphed. "Beka and I are having katsudon pirozhki tonight!"
Viktor immediately snatched the phone from Yuuri's grasp. "Yurio! I didn't know you watched Glassheart, too! Isn't it wonderful?! Who's your favorite character besides Julian? Mine's Yoichi, of course!"
"HELL NO!" Yurio snapped. "Get off my case, old man! Go talk to Chulanont or something!"
Viktor nodded back excitedly, still on an all-time high post-episode rush. "I will! I'm handing you back to Yuuri now." He gave Yuuri the phone back, planting a kiss on his cheek before returning to the couch to call Phichit.
Yuuri put the phone back to his ear. "It's me again... Actually I'm also making katsudon pirozhki for lunch tomorrow. It's been so long; I have to prepare."
"Figured as much."
.
What Viktor usually meant by "call Phichit" was to open their Skype group for figure skaters who also liked Glassheart. (Yuuri made sure to remember the title now after much persuasion by his husband, lest he gets mobbed by his other friends online, too.) It was a video conference, as always. It didn't take long before the conversation went into full swing, so he played a selection of everyone's skating music from the last few seasons so he would not hear any spoilers.
The beginning lines of "Shall We Skate" was cut off momentarily as a chat bubble appeared on the home screen. It was from Phichit, Yuuri noted, as he pressed a button on his headset to resume the audio playback and lower the volume.
phichit+chu: hi yuuri! long time no chat!! :))
Me: Hello, Phichit!
Me: It's only been a week, though?
phichit+chu: lol same thing
phichit+chu: so have u watched glassheart already??? :O
phichit+chu: its 3/4 done now, u got some serious catching up to do :)))
(Typing...)
Me: I haven't, sorry.
Me: Viktor's been asking me to watch it with him, too.
Me: I just can't seem to get into it as much as everyone else.
Me: I guess it hits a little too close to home for me.
Yuuri stopped typing. It was evident Viktor immensely enjoyed the show, even more so because it was obviously based on their own real-life relationship. He'd been a fan since day one, tweeting his thoughts and reactions every week. Now a good nine episodes in, his follower count had shot up to the mid-hundred-thousands and counting. Fans of both the show and figure skating were very much excited to have the Living Legend (and real-life inspiration) on board, and soon he became known as the "Prince of the Fandom" - the King, of course, being the original author.
Many a fan had once asked if Yuuri watched Glassheart, too, seeing as he was the other significant person involved in the story. Viktor handled these questions himself since he knew the Japanese man did not like being associated with the show, albeit not as vehemently vocal about it as Yurio was. (That had almost become a total PR disaster, if not for Yakov's timely intervention with a total media blackout for the young Russian skater.) Yuuri himself chose to stay quiet about it as he went about his daily activities, avoiding requests for interviews and comments pertaining to the show. However, the increasing guilt for putting his husband through this situation in his place, combined with a genuine, slowly-piqued curiosity brought about by many, many messages from various fans, made him reconsider his stance on the matter.
Above all, he missed spending time with Viktor. Sex was one thing, but quality time like this rarely presented itself throughout their respective busy schedules. So maybe...
  phichit+chu: awww thats a shame :((
(Typing...)
phichit+chu: its actually why i watch the show. it does so many things right. i love how it showcases a mature, healthy romance done right, just like ur love story with victor :')
phichit+chu: at least u would like the action scenes??? they remind u alot of figure skating
phichit+chu: guanghong likes the fighting and magic scenes actually. leo loves the ost
phichit+chu: sara and mila have a crush on the mc yoichi ehehe ;))
phichit+chu: dont tell them i told u tho
Me: Haha, don't worry, I won't. :)
phichit+chu: just give it a chance okay? u might like it :')
Me: I'm still not sure. Maybe if Viktor can effectively convince me. ;)
phichit+chu: listen to ur hubby, man ;)) listen to ur heart :))
Phichit stopped responding after that. He must be active on the Skype conference now. Yuuri walked out to the living room, and could hear Phichit's boisterous laughter from Viktor's phone as they discussed the ending scene at the kingdom's harbor. Mila was now attempting to pry details out of her former rinkmate about what went down when they reunited after the Rostelecom Cup three years ago.
"No comment," Viktor answered, a secretive smile playing on his lips. "That's between me and Yuuri only."
"No fair, Vitya!" Mila cried foul. "You know he's never gonna spill! How will we make comparison notes now?"
Viktor hummed back amusedly. "Well, I'm not helping. Good luck with that, Mila."
Phichit and Leo also whined at this, while Guanghong tried to placate them. Sara merely laughed in the background.
Yuuri, too, was laughing softly.
.
It was several hours before the airing of the last episode when Yuuri surprised his husband over dinner. Viktor almost spit out his water when he asked if they could marathon the past eleven episodes while waiting for the finale.
"I guess I'm kind of interested now, with all the hype going on," he confessed, picking at a piece of meat with his chopsticks. "If you're not busy tonight, of course."
Viktor beamed at him, his eyes gleaming ecstatically. He would have hugged the bespectacled man right there and then, if it weren't for the table between them, so he settled for reaching out to clasp Yuuri's free hand, his wedding ring reflecting the white light hanging above them.
"I'll always have time, my Yuuri." Viktor smiled at him tenderly, the silver fringe over his left eye parting ever so slightly as he tilted his head. "I love spending time with you."
Yuuri closed his eyes, feeling somewhat absolved of whatever it was that had been weighing him down. He entwined his fingers between Viktor's, returning the smile with a fond one of his own before letting go. "We should hurry, Viten'ka. I don't want us to be late."
Viktor nodded and resumed eating. The couple finished their meal in silence, the excitement palpable between them, even as they put away the tableware and washed up for the night.
The laptop had already been set up when Yuuri came out to the living room, bringing with him a large blanket and two steaming cups of hot chocolate on a tray. (Not the bedroom, he'd insisted earlier. They might fall asleep.) Viktor clicked on a few icons before invitingly patting on the spot next to him. Yuuri places the tray on the low table next to the laptop, spreading the blanket to wrap around themselves with before joining his husband on the couch.
"I knew you'd come around eventually." Viktor nudged at his shoulder, winking playfully. "I've waited for so long, you know."
"Good things come to those who wait," Yuuri intoned, the old English adage rolling perfectly on his tongue. He leaned in and rested his head on his husband's shoulder. "Shall we?"
"Of course." Viktor tapped on the spacebar, and animated snowflakes began filling the screen.
The opening theme was captivating, the positive lyrics daring the listener to dream big and aim high. The instrumental parts and the repeating refrains were really catchy, and Yuuri caught himself humming along even after it ended. Viktor was humming along, too, albeit at a faster pace. Yuuri smiled; he loved hearing his husband sing.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration if Yuuri said the first episode blew him away. They did not hesitate to set the tone of the series with a healthy mix of fast-paced fight sequences, colorful spells and lightning-speed attacks (which, yes, did resemble figure skating spins and jumps a lot), all tied together by a dramatic narrative that tugged at the heartstrings and pooled tears in the eyes.
Yurio would have enjoyed this show, he thought. It's a shame all that stuff happened to the poor boy before he could even give the show a chance.
They were not kidding when they said Glassheart was totally (albeit loosely) based on his and Viktor's story. Watching the interactions between the leads Yoichi and Valentin, Yuuri could not help but wonder at how well the creators have captured their own dynamics as coach and skater back then, and adapted it perfectly to a medieval fantasy setting. He started daydreaming about icicles forming at his fingertips, easily manipulating their form into whatever he wished. He had been mentally sculpting a still image of Viktor and himself floating in the air when the fourth episode ended.
Viktor was now chuckling as his on-screen wizard incarnation drunkenly hit on the poor bespectacled mage a in the tavern, while said mage's friend gleefully cackled before a floating magic sphere. "And there goes Match Number 55," he explained. "I never really understood how notorious Phichit actually was about these things until this episode aired."
Yuuri responded with a curious hum. He knew better, having been the Thai's friend and rinkmate for longer. On another note, Viktor and the others have apparently been keeping track of the similarities between this show and real-life happenings. Yuuri declined the offer to read through Phichit's detailed masterpost on it later.
His heart soared when Yoichi managed to win his first match at the Wizards' Tournament, even attempting to cast Valentin's signature spell, the Glassheart. It was only for a short moment, a far cry from the powerful attack the legendary ice wizard had unleashed on the dragon in the first episode. Still, Valentin had been so happy and so proud, that he had kissed his protégé before the audience right there and then.
Beside him, Viktor was in tears again. He'd already stopped giving any form of commentary at this point, in favor of "feeling the feels," whatever that meant.
Yuuri sipped his drink slowly. He wished tonight would never end.
.
The final episode closed with a shot of Yoichi and Valentin standing on the bridge where they had first met, the former now also sporting the uniform of the Royal Wizard Regiment, a silver badge pinned on his breast. Both characters shared a tender kiss, before the screen panned up and faded out to the words, "ab hinc in aeternum" -- from here to eternity.
No sooner had the livestream cut off than Yuuri turned his attention to his husband, who was currently a beautiful, inelegant mess. It reminded him a lot of the time he'd inadvertently shattered his then-coach's heart into pieces by declaring his intentions to retire after the GPF in Barcelona. Though Yuuri's own heart had ached as much, he was glad they'd had that conversation at all. They'd both learned so much from it, and had grown stronger, as a result.
He put an arm around the sniffling Russian, running his hands up and down the latter's shoulder in a slow, reassuring motion. After several quiet minutes, Viktor reached his own right hand up to clasp his, their wedding rings bumping against each ther in their entwined fingers.
"Duo corda," he whispered, referring to the new spell the two leads had created by fusing their Glassheart spells at the last moment in order to defeat the final enemy. It was a beautiful yet destructive spiraling of two columns of living ice, which culminated in a giant arrow that pierced through the monster's impenetrable barrier and stabbed it right through the heart.
More like, "the power of love," actually, if Yuuri dared to have any say in it, but the hot tears brimming on his own eyes said otherwise. He did not expect this anime to make him laugh and cry as much as it had over the past four hours, but it did its job nonetheless and went way beyond that. (Then again, though, the Japanese skating legend was very much known for having a more fragile heart than most other glass-hearted figure skaters everywhere. Or, at least, Viktor had said so.)
So he settled for repeating Viktor's words, reciting from memory the broken Latin phrases that constituted the love song that constantly played during tender moments between the wizards in love. Somewhere along the moment, they had switched from somewhat-butchered Latin to a more-practiced Italian as they softly sang segments of Stammi Vicino in unison.
Yuuri looked up at his husband, poking his head out of the blanket. "Not going to post anything tonight?"
Viktor stopped humming, pursing his lips in mock-deep thought. "I'll do that tomorrow," he finally decided. "I have a lot of feelings to process."
"So you do," Yuuri agreed, observing the already-dried tracks of tears down the other man's cheeks. "What about Phichit and the others?"
"I turned off my phone, actually." Viktor laughed, holding up the dark gadget for his husband to see. "Tonight is Yuuri-time," he added with a flourish, gesturing as flashily as he could from a cramped space, almost dropping the phone in the process. Yuuri caught it just in time, a bubbling feeling of euphoria welling up from deep within his chest.
"If that's the case," he began, "then I have an idea."
Yuuri fumbled for his own phone, opening his barely-used Instagram app. He angled the camera to include an aesthetic shot of the powered-down laptop, the two empty cups of chocolate, and both their legs entangled together. Viktor buried his head into the crook of his neck upon reading the caption, holding the other man to himself tighter than ever.
"You're one sappy romantic, Yuuri Nikiforov," he commented, his shuddering breath as he exhaled tickling Yuuri's neck. "You never cease to surprise me."
Yuuri smiled proudly, bringing his husband closer and kissing him gently. "I learn from the best."

How To Explain Fat Decimator System To Your Grandparents
Why does dropping excess weight need to be so stressful? Why can it be so really hard?
There are plenty of things. It could be presumptuous to declare that dropping pounds was simple. It surely isnt! A one who has to lose then pounds finds it just a hard and annoying as the one who has to lose more than a hundred lbs .. Even though the amount of lbs look as a vast distinction between the 10-pound loser plus the hundred-pound loser, the truth is identical frustrations are experienced.
I propose that we realize The 2 significant influences We now have to master to discern if we want to obtain our weight-loss aims.
To me, the two key influences will be the outward influences and also the inward influences. An outward affect is just about anything out during the touchable, a few-dimensional genuine world like food items, scales, mirrors, folks, dresses, and so on. The inward influences are things that go on inside your coronary heart, your needs, your views, and sooner or later your steps. The two outward and inward influences Enjoy their very own roles in dropping weight. The real key is to find out how to pay far more focus to The great inward affect that will help you get rid of weight.
15 Things Your Boss Wishes You Knew About Fat Decimator System
Beneath are some outward influences And exactly how they impact your weigh-reduction development:
The size: reinforces your good results or failure every time you phase on it. Lower figures on the size indicate youve lost some body weight, but hardly ever more than enough according to your expectations. Bigger figures on the scale suggest you must have done anything Improper. It doesnt account for h2o-bodyweight, bloat/swelling, muscle mass mass, and many others.
The mirror: serves as our critique meter, or something that displays how the planet sights us, thus, we have to watch ourselves this way far too.
The fridge and cupboards: reminders of the NO ZONES in our households.
People: whenever they know you happen to be losing pounds, they need a report in your development.
Actual physical body exhaustion: dietary variations, training, or worrying sets in so you grow to be irritable or unfortunate occasionally.
20 Gifts You Can Give Your Boss If They Love Fat Decimator System
Food: new ingesting behavior and much healthier snack foods interfere with what youve previously referred to as ordinary, and the new routines are difficult to incorporate.
Calendars: timeframes youve established to achieve your bodyweight-decline plans is nearing its end, so you are fearful that youll be considered a failure all over again.
Menus: good meals selection looks like a CHORE, and taking in just isnt pleasurable any longer as you know the caloric depend, grams of sugar, grams of protein, and grams of Excess fat of every thing you put into your mouth.
Apparel: as you drop the pounds, apparel starts to sag on you a little bit, which will make you glimpse even worse. Having to invest cash on new dresses may be depressing if its not part of a current spending plan. Industry experts: they've got a myriad of solutions on shedding body weight, and they cant hold out for you to listen to them. This over list could go on and on dependant on how deeply you preferred to analyze this challenge. But as you can see from this shortened Variation, all of the surface influences make us truly feel the stresses of shedding body weight.
The inward influences I would like to deal with are Those people influences that some would label as self-converse, or instead self-affirmations that possibly tell us ended up alright or not all right on the earth as we realize it. Its that inner voice that every one of us have that directs us to thinning, then inevitably directs us to act according to our considering. Steps begin with ideas, and feelings begin with needs. And wants start with what we want deep inside our heart. Seems sophisticated and poetic, I admit; however it is so value the trouble to consider some time and find out how you can also make your coronary heart talk its wishes, that may prompt the feelings, that should then bring about actions.
The inward influences are Functioning properly for you personally Right up until you move on the scale or look during the mirror. Then what comes about? Youve allowed the outward influences to watch your development, and also the outward influences need to override all those constructive inward influences. You start to mock all of your current hard work youre carrying out, find disappointments, identify shortcomings, and generally debase any achievements you realized. Youll do that for one pound shed or for a person hundred lbs . shed. Why? Due to the fact youre permitting the outward influences to consider around the inward influences.
6 Books About Fat Decimator System You Should Read
How do you make the inward influences rank bigger than the outward influences? This is the trick Perform AT IT and recall its TWO To 1! When you listen to the Satan on your own shoulder (the outward influences) toss close to insults, uncertainties, and destructive remarks, turn your head to your angel on the shoulder (the inward influences) that fat decimator book tells you that you're carrying out amazing, youre building development, youve worked so hard, youre enhancing everyday, and youre likely to make it.
For each and every damaging remark, strike back again with two optimistic remarks. When you try this, youll normally stay a single phase ahead with the negative, which just may very well be ample to help keep you moving ahead toward the prize. The moment you DONT strike back, the outward influences attain one particular-up on you, then two-up, then soon grow to be 10-up similar to a board game and your video game piece is slipping driving to the squares. In the event you end up much too far driving within the squares, you will become extra discouraged after which you can Give up the sport all alongside one another. Similar to a child who states, perfectly, I guaranteed cant get now, leaves the game and pouts on his way house.
The outward influences must be Element of the procedure, sadly. This is the checking, our measuring stick that proves we've been accomplishing the appropriate points.
Your body doesnt have an understanding of this in the least. The human body can be a grand machine that is consistently hectic with checks and balances, ensuring that al devices are GO, that all operations are operating for their greatest capabilities. It doesnt have enough time for thoughts. It only does its functional tasks accordingly. So you cannot rely on the body to be aware of any inward influences or outward influences such as Ive outlined. It's only worried about system functions and getting things done.
So work Pretty difficult at shelling out extra awareness to the inward influences. But take into account that You need to place the inward influences in there prior to deciding to can in fact utilize them. Like Placing gasoline in the vehicle to make it go, you have to set The nice inward influences in to produce them accessible when you should phone upon them. Here are several fantastic inward influences or angel tones you'll be able to set into your intellect right now that can help you reach:

Csgo Accounts – How to Identify scams
fairFirst we should accustom what a Csgo Accounts is: essentially you are paying to add taking place your motion in ranked games. There are several ways this can be ended. The easiest and fastest is the SoloQ per rank system where a booster plays for you until he reaches the desired consequences. Second, there is DuoQ, which some call Lobby Boost. Its later you and the booster pretense one lobby together until you achieve the consequences you paid for. Csgo Accounts is more costly as the booster needs to carry you and would quirk an account to play a portion. Also, the era once you are both going to put it on together needs to be scheduled in front and can hence be restrictive. There is along with Rank Boosting; here your account is boosted until it reaches the demanded rank. Or Wins Boosting, where you maintenance going on front as many wins as youve ordered, of course if you lose during the process you will profit 1 relationship win in view of that that its even. For example, if you order 5 wins- you can acquire 5 wins in clash or 6 wins 1 loss. Its always substitute to the number of wins you ordered in beatific.
CS GO boosting help  How to locate legit Csgo Accounts ?
If you opt to go for a CS GO boosting encourage you dependence to pick one that will avoid any highly developed problems. The business is there are lots of boosting websites and boosters out there. Here are a few questions you should ask yourself since deciding:
Are they legit- a legally functioning company? Are their reviews legit? Are they boosting bearing in mind no hacks? Will my account be stolen? Can I acquire banned for using their support? What operate I know roughly this company? Do I acquire a guarantee following their assign support to? All of these are important questions. Before you make your order, deliberately make a background check of the company youaround bearing in mind than for cs go boost. Random people going a propos for forums or any auxiliary sources calculation a big risk, you will never know if the boy is cheating thus perform not randomly employ people. What you habit is a guarantee that the boosters are the authentic accord.
How to check an Csgo Accounts site General see of website The first issue you should find is the general see of the website. If the site is accurately expected: once links, important information that is easy to sanction, etc. you can go arrangement gone than. The neighboring critical step is a background check of the website: is it a authenticated company? A each and every one amenable exaggeration to confirm this is to check for feedback and reviews re the subject of social media.
Facebook page check Look at what they reveal and how often they publicize. More importantly, check how many likes they have and whether these likes are from authentic people and accounts. Do the posts they make have responses or is their page a ghost town? Pages taking into account omnipotent amounts of likes and highly few or no publicize explanation/likes are red flags! There can be two reasons, first: the likes are concern and no one uses that abet or two: there is no contact gone people in posts. Social media can proclaim you a lot approximately a boosting site!
Facebook reviews On the new hand, not all reviews are definite, some may be ended by competitors hoping to lower the trust of users so its important for us as customers to insist who made those reviews. For example, as soon as I see 25 approving reviews of a company I think simple; but if in the region of checking I see 20 of them are made by Polish people I ask myself how is this realizable. As a booster and a coach I know that Eastern Europeans dont buying boosting services a lot, its generally pretentiousness too expensive for them. Boosting is a luxury benefits thus not everyone can afford it. Most boosting clients are from the US and Western Europe, of course there are always exceptions but basically if you see boosting advance where many reviews are from Eastern European countries or if even a few of the reviews are from owners-thats fishy! Social media sites bearing in mind Facebook are colossal because you can often easily say who the persons at the rear the reviews are and see if theyharshly speaking real customers. It goes without saw, that the reviews of a precise artiste are more reliable than reviews by links of the owners.
Third party websites reviews: You can moreover check reviews virtually tallying forums, most companies begin a propos little forums past they became huge consequently you can see these happening. As following social media, double check who posted their opinion to see if that account is true or olden-fashioned and how many posts were made in furthermore. A to your liking believe to be of thumb is dont trust tallying accounts, unaccompanied old enthusiast forums should be trusted
Legitimacy: is this company fiddle following ? How reach they recruit boosters ? Next step is verifying legitimacy. Is the company precise? Is it registered and paying taxes? If it is, later its more likely to be the valid incorporation. Another every one of fine showing off to check boosters companies is song at their hiring practices. How can you trust a boosting assign support to that recruits players from outdoor? How can they guarantee that the boy wont steal your account worth $2000 or set in motion cheating as regards it? No one can meet the expense of guarantees for people  Csgo Accounts therefore hired off the internet. Its in imitation of going to a restaurant and you see a sign We hiring Cooks, no background check needed. Think twice previously you order CS GO BOOST approximately such websites.
Last orders Of course, its not goal but you can always check taking into account orders done by the company. Take a flavor at their bearing in mind orders, gallery, Facebook page photos or any subsidiary way that they concentrate on information approximately orders theyve ended.
Talk to maintenance Last but not least is to tackle a real person. Its easier to trust a company if you know there is someone there, not a bot. If youin description to going to spend allocation, this can benefit you know whether its a scam.
CS GO considering to boosting minister to
As we said forward: Nothing is for pardon. If someone works a few hours to profit your rank, someone else needs to have enough child maintenance it. There may be lobby boosts where people mass full lobby and if thats the conflict also I would endeavor it. However, never manage to pay for anyone your log in password for a pardon boost: you will likely get scammed. If the booster wants to promotion you: declaration him to be swift-deed following you, there is no such business as a CS GO forgive boosting minister to
CS GO Boosting for skins
Most boosting services use PayPal as their payment method. However, it is attainable to pay following skins or even shout from the rooftops transactions. If you got maintenance upon Steam you can get hold of low value skins from the boosting company as a payment, or you can trade your skins for the boosting foster. Of course, such payments are more expensive usually +15% because of taxes upon the Steam expose. If you habit CS GO boosting for skins, setting within complete to understandable us and we can to the lead going on you subsequent to that. You can always test us ordering our CS GO Boost Test Win.

How to attach your account  Steam Guard
If you are scared approximately others stealing your account, there is more information upon the qualified Steam website: How reach Steam Guarded accounts get your hands on stolen:
Steam Guard protects your Steam account by requiring admission to your verified email account. This second folder of security depends upon your email account with mammal newscaster. Below are the common methods used to steal accounts gone Steam Guard enabled:
Through Email: If your verified email account is stolen or compromised, a adherent can enter your account freely provided they know your account notice. Knowing your Steam account password would not be required as this can be reset when access to your email account. Never use the related password for both your email and Steam account.
Acquiring a Steam Guard File: Steam will never evaluate you to find the keep for any Steam Guard files. If you upload or pay for a addict your Steam Guard .SSFN file, they can action entry to your account without accessing your email account. However, they must know your Steam account password and username to use this file.
Malware: Hijackers can use malware to admit admission to your computer and login to your account using your already authorized device. The best mannerism to guard yourself is to always have the Steam guard enabled. If someone is logging onto your account from a supplement IP residence, he will have restricted entrance to meet the expense of and trades for 7 days. So if you are ordering Csgo Accounts , always receive orders for less than 7 days; if it takes longer, recall to reset the Steam guard. There are two more behavior that can cumulative safety. The first is: revise your password, which will block everyone who logs onto your account from trading or take steps anything subsequently than your skins-even you; this is a basic Steam sponsorship. Secondly, set your parental control upon Steam to block your push, inventory and trades consequently no booster- or any subsidiary person, can admission your inventory.

Risky business: do companies pay a price for expressing political views?
Staying politically neutral on Trump administration policies is proving difficult for businesses in the face of mounting public pressure
American companies have a long history of weighing in on political and social issues. But the election of Donald Trump has fueled public pressure on businesses to go much further to take a stand on specific policies and made it difficult for those that wish to remain neutral.
Trumps recent decision to revoke a legal guidance that allowed transgender students to use bathrooms of their choice drew a round of protests from companies such as Yahoo and Apple. Before that, his actions on immigration, environment and womens reproductive health along with his propensity for tweet-attacking companies he doesnt fancy had already fanned intense public outrage that in turn has forced many businesses to publicly take sides.
Its rare for companies to be this publicly visible on an issue so early in a new administration, said David Boaz, executive vice president of libertarian think tank Cato Institute.
So whats the cost to businesses for taking sides or failing to do so?
The most high profile fight so far involves the executive order that initially banned travelers, even those with valid visas and green cards, from seven Muslim-majority countries. More than 100 companies, including Google, Microsoft and Netflix, filed legal briefs supporting lawsuits to suspend the order. Its not surprising that Silicon Valley would speak out against the ban, since many of its workers are immigrants.
While taking part in legal challenges may seem an expensive undertaking, it often costs far less than what some of the giant firms spend on lobbying, Boaz said. If youre Google or even Uber, $1m is not that much, he added.
Some companies have been willing to spend money in other ways to express their political views. Google and Airbnb, for example, took out ads during Super Bowl to register their views on gay rights, immigration and religious tolerance. A 30-second spot at the Super Bowl this year cost around $5m.
For Uber, failing to take a strong stance against the travel ban initially was a costly mistake. The company faced a boycott campaign when it offered cheaper rides to JFK airport in New York City instead of joining other taxi drivers in a protest. Ubers action prompted hundreds of thousands of people to delete their Uber app and upset its employees. In response, the company set up a $3m legal defense fund for its immigrant drivers, and its CEO, Travis Kalanick, stepped down from Trumps economic advisory council.
Consumer boycotts have become a popular way to register political views, and that has been a challenge for companies that try to stay neutral. Nordstrom was caught in the midst of this when it became a target of a campaign, launched before the election, to boycott companies that do business with Trump family members. When it announced last month that it was dropping Ivanka Trumps fashion label due to poor sales, it faced a tweet-lashing from the president and boycotts from his supporters.
You dont normally see supporters or detractors of a presidential candidate acting in such a mobilized block against companies, said Brayden King, professor of management at Northwestern Universitys Kellogg School of Management. It reflects the highly polarized political environment were in right now, and people are seeing every part of their life as reflected through the mirror of politics.
But the hubbub with Nordstrom hasnt impacted the company much, Bloomberg reported. While sales of Ivankas line dropped 32% last year, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, the merchandise likely accounted for less than 1% of Nordstroms annual sales. Late last month, the company posted a quarterly profit that beat Wall Streets expectation.
Staying neutral can be tough to accomplish for businesses these days. A 2014 study from public relations firm Global Strategy Group showed that 56% of Americans believe companies should stand up for what they believe in, regardless of whether the issue is controversial or not, compared to 44% in 2013.
Same-sex and transgender issues in particular have drawn strong reaction from the business community. Nearly 70 companies, including Ikea, Apple and General Electric, spoke out last year against state legislation in North Carolina that would force transgender people to use bathrooms that matched their gender at birth. In 2012, Nike, Microsoft and Starbucks announced their support of a Washington state bill to legalize same-sex unions. Dan Cathy, CEO of fast food chain Chick-fil-A, sparked both a Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day from one side and National Same-Sex Kiss Day from the other side when he made several statements against gay marriage.
The North Carolina law in particular prompted so many companies to suspend or cancel business deals that studies have emerged to try to calculate the financial toll. Research by the UCLA School of Law said the law would cost the state $5bn in economic activities per year. Last November, Forbes estimated that the state had experienced $630m in lost business since the state passed the law in March last year.
With Trump, businesses should brace themselves for further battles ahead, King said. The presidents environmental plans in particular are at odds with many large companies goals to cut carbon emissions and engage in broad scale conservation efforts, such as reducing water use and transitioning to renewable energy. Trump has vowed to eliminate environmental regulations, arguing that those rules are costly to companies.
Just this week, the EPA chief, Scott Pruitt, said carbon dioxide emissions are not causing global warming, a view that contradicts overwhelming scientific evidence.
Environmental stewardship and sustainability are going to be big issues of contention, said Irv Schenkler, clinical professor of management communication at New York Universitys Stern School of Business. Many large corporations have committed themselves to alternative energy, but the outlook is that the new administration is going to take a very different tack in this regard.
Figuring out when to speak up and when to keep mum will continue to be a big challenge for companies in this divisive political climate, Schenkler said. Offending a thin-skinned president could jeopardize a companys lobbying effort on other issues, such as corporate tax cut.
Trumps tendency to hold a grudge and berate companies recalls the practice of former president Richard Nixon, who maintained a so-called enemies list that included business leaders such as Charles Dyson of Dyson-Kissner and Frank Heineman, president of Mens Wear International. He used the IRS and other government agencies to harass those that opposed him, said West.
But keeping silent also hasnt proven to be a good option for high profile companies.
They have a duty to fight for the interest of their company, King said. Business should not be afraid of the government.

Since @samninja18 @drawlody wanted to know the comic, here’s a link to it.
