hello! i’m love your post and arts so much! I look at your posts after a hard day and my mood immediately changes to excellent. can I ask a couple of questions?
which pairing with Ethan do you prefer?
and… can we get to know you better? a little biography?
Thank you for your time! I'll be waiting for new arts! (sorry if i made mistakes, my english is not so good. im russian)
i like basically every ship with ethan! it mostly depends on the mood im in, but if im being honest, mithan, winterfield, and wintersberg gets frustrating to think about because they all dont treat ethan well canonically... lethan is fun because they have never met and i can make my own assumptions!
i used to like wintersberg the most and i still do like it, i just have expanded my horizons to other ships as well...., its mostly like a punchline to me though. they have the funniest potential which is why a majority of their posts is just joke comics. i do not like how people try to erase how karl is arrogant and egotistical tho. thats like removing the flavor.... the way karl acts is just very funny to me, hes so lame in a good way and i like how everytime he talks to ethan it sounds like hes twirling his hair and kicking his feet. canonically speaking, karl was very much in the wrong for trying to use rose and not elaborating and i will die on this hill. ethan is not in the wrong for being disgusted and angry that karl would ever try and propose that in the deal. karl is very arrogant so when ethan says no to him it makes him mad and he tries to use fear to get ethan to take his deal (kicking his chair and warning him) i like karl, i like how messed up and arrogant he is but i dislike how people try to portray him as a nice guy. however, in a AU where everythings the same except he doesnt try to use rose i do enjoy the dynamic they could have, especially if the teamed up (not with the deal where they use rose. ethan wouldnt agree unless karl never involved rose in the first place). karl is just a very entertaining character and i like him a lot, hes funny and his personality can be extremely hilarious
mia and ethan is pretty tragic and thinking about it too much makes me a bit sad, imo in a reality where ethan survives re8, he needs to divorce mia. im not saying ethan needs to hate mia and never talk to her again i just dont think they should be so intimate together because of her behavior... please do not take this as anti mia. they loved each other dearly but it wasnt healthy. their relationship was kept afloat by lies and mia doesnt change even though she deals with the consequences of her own actions in re7. she actively tries to hide her past from ethan and is mostly focused on trying to move on and have a normal life even if ethan will have to live the rest of his life in the dark.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she loves her family so much, shes very afraid of them leaving her so she hides all the bad things in the hopes that they wont leave. its selfish, its human, its real, her character is so amazing and i love her. she doesnt learn from re7 and hides important information from ethan again. i geniunly think they should have gotten divorced after re8 if ethan had survived. its tragic and its sad but they love each other so much. it sad because they both geniunly love rose so much but they themselves shouldnt be together. its just sad to think about it. whenever i draw them it usually takes place before re7. they should have divorced on good terms and shared custody of rose.........
ethan and chris is also frustrating to think about... chris is a major jerk in re8, whenever i draw it, its under a unspoken AU that chris did not behave the way he did in re8. his weird behavior in re8 is probably for a meta reason imo. capcom wanted to set up a twist villian so they make chris very vague and unesscarily cruel. while its frustrating that they turned chris into a jerk for the sake of a twist, it still happens in canon and i will forever roll my eyes whenever i see him on screen. he did what he thought was best but imo, execution matters more than the intentions. same applies to mia. they both did things that hurt ethan because they thought it would be the best but in the end they just hurt ethan.
all the ships ive discussed with people ethan has met canonically just makes it look like i dont even like the ships... LOL ... ethan just has horrible luck with the people he meets i guess... but i do enjoy the ships and drawing them, but again all of them come with the canon baggage that ends up making me sad because everyone treats ethan poorly whether they had good intentions or not
which is why leon and ethan is the most fun to draw without getting stressed... LOL... they have never met but just drawing what i think their dynamic would be like is very fun.
please dont take this post personally, this isnt a post declaring why ur fave ship sucks, this is just my own personal preferences and in the end i draw all of them anyways
if i had to rank the ships based on drawing silly comics it would be
wintersberg
mithan
lethan
winterfield
wintersberg has the funniest potential just because of karl and mithan can be funny if u water it down to "i love my wife so much" and said wife comes home with suspicious amounts of hard cash
i enjoy making joke comics far to much
if i were to rank the ships based on how healthy they would actually be for ethan it would be
lethan
winterfield, mithan, wintersberg (no particular order)
sorry 😭
leon and ethan have literally never met but imo it would still be the healthiest because ethan gets to start new
the three other ships r all unhealthy in some way, at least canonically without changing much about the characters (i do like winterfield but just because of how chris behaved in re8 it knocked them down)
i cant even rank them on personal preference because my opinion changes so often 😭 it changes based on discussions i have with my friends or recent art i see that inspires me... me and my friends recently had a discussion about mia and ethans relationship which made me very frustrated and sad with mia so i defiently wouldnt be drawing them anytime soon... meanwhile i hvae been talking to a friend who really likes winterfield often so the conversations we have give me art ideas and i end up drawing it more. if a friend of mine really enjoyed wintersberg or lethan and talked to me about it often id probably start drawing it more, the joys of being a multishipper
it changes a lot based on how im feeling and if im in the mood to draw something funny or something serious
sorry u asked a really simple question and i responded with a essay
and a little bit about myself is that i go by crumb, i am 18 and i go by all pronouns and prefer it/its
im vietnamese and live in texas
i made this tumblr acc solely so i could post my ethan art and im a re7/re8 girly so if ur here waiting for me to draw the re1-re6 characters im sorry u should probably expect nothing
i also make personal animations sometimes which u can find here
thanks for the ask and sorry for the rant!

My thoughts on the audio are that I genuinely cannot come up with a sane explanation. I don't think Liam was necessarily in the studio but he has to be talking about him, right? Like IDK there was some visual effect or whatever, literally who else could be the cunt Noel doesn't want to see. Beyond which I am not a proper scholar so please let me know if I'm way off base but I have an extended divorce theory that goes:
2009: Breakup, they're both big mad for a minute
201?-2012: They are texting and like, sending their kids to the same school. possibly the most normal they've ever been.
2013-2015: Liam blows his entire life up and is extremely sad about the consequences of his own actions. I saw actual video footage of Noel saying that he's shocked beady eye broke up and he's actually sweet about it and tells Liam not to give up? who is this man. anyway while Liam will later claim Noel wasn't there for him during the divorce but as a general rule they're much nicer about each other when they're divorcing other people. this is where I become extremely conspiratorial because at some point they had to get the documentary off the ground and a second, more personal breakup is clearly going down around this time. I believe in their ability to deeply wound each other by playing cryptic telephone through the press but I think it genuinely makes more sense if they were actually talking, perhaps about a potential reunion.
2016-2020: supersonic documentary and also (coincidentally?) the apocalypse. Liam launches his solo career, Noel hates it and is pretty relentlessly mean about it and about Liam more generally. we are gearing up for the kind of tweeting/podcast commenting where you call your brother your ex-wife. I think this is also when Noel decides to drag Molly into it for some reason. Liam says publicly that he thinks Noel was waiting for him to hit rock bottom so he could be magnanimous about saving him. whether he thinks this because of something concrete noel did or said or because he's liam is a mystery. the Anais incident goes down, the vogue article comes out. we are never ever getting back together for real this time. noel says a bunch of normal and well adjusted stuff about how he wants Liam to die in a self driving car crash with Donald Trump and seeing his face makes him want to shoot up a MacDonalds.
2020-2022: the pandemic saves oasis. I'm serious. they're both stuck sitting at home with nothing to distract them from themselves and think of brighter days. apparently being trapped in a house with noel is genuinely so unbearable that Sara calls it quits (in the matter of Sara v. Noel I'm on her side). presumably this was cause for at least some self reflection. divorce is a lonely and difficult experience, sara and liam seem to legit hate each other in a way that would be a barrier to reconciliation (in the matter of Sara v. Liam I am also on her side but less so bcs she didn't get trapped in a house with him). at the same time Liam pulls off Knebworth 2022, demonstrating he can handle big events without headcasing (and without noel, and he will be doing those big events solo or otherwise). at this point I genuinely think it was just a matter of time before we were back, baybeee! let's hope they can keep it together.
bro your brain is so huge and deeply wrinkled, profoundly agree with all of this. why you on anon when your opinions are so correct and you could be sharing them with us directly tbh 👀.
but yeah, 100% covid saved oasis lmao. noel's divorce saved oasis. noel's miserable midlife crisis (ongoing) saved oasis 🥰🥰🥰. and it juuuuuust really seems like all those insane highs and lows that went on publicly in the media between them over the years probably, or at least quite possibly, had irl personal catalysts rather than just a general holdover of ill will from the 2000s. there are so many random little times one or both of them casually mentioned they were in contact, and any one of those instances can be disregarded, but when considered in retrospect from a collective standpoint..... AWFULLY DAMNING!!!
lots more to say about all of this actually, every point you've made is legit af and could be expounded upon for a hundred years, but it's midnight and im coming down with a flu (punishment for some kind of hubris im sure), so. thank you for all of this and goodnight 🙏

Stella's "Development"
Stolas seems to have this list of "why you can't be mad at him," which is just writers trying to defend their own ugly morals by using things that often don't apply to them so they can say, "Nuh, uh, you just don't like him because of XY and Z."
Moving on to Stella, all of her "development" consists of giving Stolas empathy points. Stella hasn't even had a conversation with Via. Stolas mistreat Blitz? Well, Stella hits him. Well Stolas has daddy issues, but Stella has been evil since she was born. Stolas is a villian? Stella's attempting to murder him. She is used to make Stolas look better in comparison. Because what would we have without the excuse-based shit?
A noble's youngest daughter who was forced into a marriage with a man she didn't love and was forced to have a kid with, who again she had to give birth to. Her husband is higher up in society than her and her family, so she has to remain with him despite she hates him. Also finding out that her husband had been repeatedly cheating on to her, the MOTHER of his child, while also risking Via's future by giving his daughter's heirloom to a stranger he met once when he was younger, endangering their daughters future. And then after the affair is exposed, no one cares, showcasing his elevated status by how little anyone challenges him. He can cheat without consequence because She is unable to leave him, due to her lower social class, the divorce would take away her life, status, and connection to her daughter—who AGAIN she was forced to have with this man—and her knowledge that she had no choice but to stay with him.
Like this is a royal hiarchy in hell; no way a woman could divorce her husband, let alone be respected if she did.
Think of the situation the characters find themselves and the potential reasons behind their actions rather than only taking in the perspectives of others about them. (That doesn't means she can abuse her husband.) But she is not this tyrannical, evil, all-powerful being that they portray her as. Considering she doesn't have much standing, why else wouldn't she have divorce him?
"Oh she likes tormenting him" is dumb—just something evil they wanted her to say to prevent people from empathizing because an attack on Stolas is an attack on Viv because Stolas is only a puppet. She chooses the plot and what role he plays in it. A character may do actions of a villian but the perspective their given shows where the creators morals lie.
Also on my account i have reposted links to GoFundMe's that could be life or death to people every bit counts if you dont have five dollars you can venmo @artisticantics on youtube they donate the money from the venue as a lump-sum.
Thank you for your time.

Thots on the finalists of each season?
Island: I really liked Owen and Gwen, I thought it was a really good contrast between the guy that everybody likes and the girl that everybody hates. Also that even though they’re so different, they still regarded each other amicably. Overall 7/10, a nice start to the series.
Action: I haven’t seen action in a while, and when I did watch it, I just really wanted the season to be over so I could get to world tour. Duncan and Beth were odd choices but I don’t remember having any emotion, positive or negative, towards them. At least Chref divorce was in the finale. 4/10
World Tour: There’s a reason this season’s finale is regarded as the best overall. Putting Heather against Alejandro let her be an antihero people root for, and that’s such a good damn choice. A perfect ending to her arc, and the hatred and love both of them had for each other allowed for so much drama. 10/10, I need to rewatch it again.
ROTI: Not gonna lie, this was my favorite finale. I loved the brains vs brawn dynamic, and how nicely Cameron’s arc was ended (the iron man suit was awesome too). The only downside I got is that Lightning is my favorite character, and I didn’t like how he just turned mean in the last few episodes. I’m gonna end this paragraph here because it’s gonna turn into how much I love this finale and the challenge. 9/10
All Stars: I never watched the finale. I stopped watching all stars after sundae muddy sundae, where it stopped being funny bad and started being actually bad. Some day I’m gonna finish the season, but that day is nowhere soon. Also wtf is the point of having two characters from the same gen as the finalists of a two-gen season, that just goes against all reason. ???/10
PI: I still haven’t gotten to the finale in my most recent PI rewatch, so I’ll be going off memory for this one. I liked both Sky and Shawn, and I can’t really pick which one I think deserves to win, they both should get the money. When I saw that Dave and Jasmine were being their helpers, I thought that it was gonna be a contrast between the healthy relationship and whatever the hell Sky and Dave had going on. I wasn’t really happy that the entire episode was spent focusing on relationship drama instead of the dynamic between the finalists themselves, but at least jashawn didn’t break up. It was okay. 5/10
RR: I’m still pissed the sisters didn’t make it to the finale. The surfers were decent as I found them entertaining, but I did not care for the cadets. McArthur should’ve faced consequences for her hubris earlier, like the ice dancers. At least the best friends got medvac’d, I shudder to imagine if they ended up in the finale. 4/10
TD23: I love this finale so much. Both competitors have played so well, and were both examples of the perfect td players. Bowie did well in challenges and managed to scheme himself to the finale, and Priya knew everything about the game and made lots of allies. The only reason this isn’t a 10/10 is that there’s no Bowie ending yet. #releasethebowiecut 9/10

Hi, could you share your thoughts on why and how some people do not get any consequences for their actions? I know some people who possibly have personality disorders. These people are compulsive liars, manipulators, control minds of others, love authority, power and status, are extremely selfish, badmouth others but are hyperconfient and oversmart because they think that they are too intellectual and religious so they are always right. Not to forget that while some of them get instant karma (passing away of spouse and parent, mental breakdown, legal disputes, family problems, divorce of kids, fatal disease) but others do not get any karma, they and their kids continue to prosper and succeed in life and reach newer heights, which is so conflicting because we often assume that karma serves things right.
Nevertheless, even the people who do get instant karma learn nothing from it. They still think that they are right and pure while it is only their fate that is dealing them with bad hand. Why do some people get karma in the same lifetime but others do not?
How does Karma Work
Excellent question, one I am in fact still kind of debating myself.
First, a few facts to go by, that I am sure of.
Every action has a reaction, and thus a consequence. It's physics. Every time we exert strength in a direction it comes back to us with the same strength.
Karma is not punishment, it is a mirror, based on the previous law, existing to teach us about the results of our behaviour.
The scope of this action-reaction scheme differs in time and stretches across several incarnations if necessary, for a soul to learn about itself. Just because your human self causes itself suffering and is resistant in this timeline, doesn't mean the soul ultimately won't understand...only to choose the next incarnation to make absolutely sure you understand lol.
When someone hurts us, we get attached to the concept of instant retribution. But ultimately, they are another person with their own path, and their mistakes are a mirror for us to learn about ourselves.
Going by this, addressing what you said. These people who appear "hyperconfident" aka are high on the narcissistic spectrum are in fact not confident at all. They're very afraid and using inflated egos and material success to gain control and reassurance...because inside they feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Ego is necessary to an extent, but when overblown, it's a tool used for self protection, when a person feels unsafe. If someone can't admit to making a mistake by hurting people, they are afraid, very afraid.
Sometimes, I noticed a funny thing, the Universe lets people make a mistake just so they can fall flat on their face with a bigger bang. That takes time, waiting for the perfect moment.
People get the kind of "karma" they can understand. Think of it like creating a game character. There is only so much you can do...until you have to create a new one to redo certain things. But if someone is not square with themselves, they won't know happiness. They will never enjoy a cent of what they have. Their money and success won't make them happy. The worth of this life lies in appreciation, not hoarding things we don't value.

ludinus and ranni are similar in that they both want to use the moon to kill god out of grief and a need for vengeance. But they’re also cunning and cruel and I’ve seen people reduce them to one dimensional villains who want power for the sake of power.
THIS RESLLYNIS SO... anon your mind is wide open. use the moon to kill god (or is the moon using them 🤔?????)
i ended up having A LOT of thoughts about the parallels between the two and their ideology and their methods and the like, crazy amount of comparisons that can be drawn between Exandria and The Lands Between as post-post-apocalyptic worlds, so. I'm putting those under a read more.
responding to your broader point re: fandom interpretations of them, yeah. a lot of people seem far more comfortable with a villain being motivated by power for power's sake than having legitimate grievances about the way things are or even just like, anything sympathetic at all. bc moral complexity and detatching action from ideology is still very difficult and hard, and even people who claim to be above that kind of shallow reading fall into that pitfall from time to time (which is part of the reason i find a lot of Media Understander posting very unserious and more like a psychic's cold reading than an actual indication of someone's skill in that regard).
okay here's the long part.
the thing is, Ludinus and Ranni both- okay. i'll say it, the thing that discoursers love to treat as equivalent to thinking the vanguard have done nothing wrong and should win - Ludinus Does Have A Point. here, so people can screenshot me out of context-
"Ludinus does have a point." - Hecate Densitywell, 2024
both Exandria and the world of Elden Ring have recorded histories of colonialism and slaughter enacted by and in the name of their gods, against the Primordials and the Giants, the Aeorians and the Great Caravan of the nomadic merchants. The Shattering and the Calamity. Caelid and the Shattered Teeth.
Ludinus is much more interested and motivated by these histories than Ranni, who cares about the larger suffering of the world due to the Greater Will purely as an extension of her ideology. But in both cases it supports their overall argument against their gods, one in favor of free will, of separation from fate and the gods putting a finger - or slamming a hand down - on the scales.
it's a point completely betrayed by the methods Ludinus employs - the same kind of conquest and cruelty and control he rails against when it comes to the gods- but that is a condemnation of the actions and their perpetrator, not the ideas themselves. and while Ranni is shameless regarding the harm, both direct and indirect, that has occurred to achieve her goal, that harm more often has occurred in tandem with the actions of the gods and demigods vs in opposition to them.
they both also have personal, emotional motivations (and while i don't disagree with you, "Ranni killed god and recreated the world entirely bc her parents got divorced" is. so fucking funny when you put it like that.), but this is really true of anything anyone does, and it especially cannot be removed completely from issues concerning oppression, justice, the structure of our very society, etc.
and it's so fascinating in both cases, and in Elden Ring I honestly think Ranni's ending is the closest/most promising as a "good" ending, partially bc of all mentioned above, and bc the scope of the game means that the worst consequences (The Shattering) have already happened and cannot be changed, and there are only so many available endings overall. i do not think the same is true for Ludinus. the Exandrian gods are much more similar to mortals as opposed to say, the Elden Beast, and there's a chance they can be negotiated with or compelled to compromise into a more fair, equal way of using their power for good. and regardless, obviously Ludinus and friends should not be put in charge of fucking anything. not even a local craft store.
idk how to end this post. but damn this is all pretty crazy right

RANT
(unpopular opinion that's not so unpopular anymore)
Even thinking or imagining the life of hailey bieber is suffocating as hell
imagine you are 6 years into your marriage and still people try to tell you that your marriage is not real and your husband will leave you for his ex.
You cant publicly and openly talk about your husband, married life and future and wanting to have kids because you will be judged and be called pathetic gold digger
You are scared to have kids because you dont want the negativity and hate you are getting will be passed on to your kids too.
Imagine you cant even enjoy something, share a song you liked, support your friends, make a tiktok or reel you want, wear anything you like, do anything you want and be active and carefree on social media without it being always associated with an other woman.
You posting something casually and suddenly you are accused of copying, bullying, being insecure etc etc
people dont like to supoort you because they like the other women you are supposedly having feud with and always have a problem with everything related to you
They take even the tiniest thing you do or say as a reason to troll you or hate you
Everything you do is someway associated with the other woman and all you do is mind your business.
I want to blame justin bieber, i really do.
I want to say justin is the problem.
But
I remember the times he used to defend his wife with looong ass rants and essays on his instagram before he finally decided talking to trolls is of no use anymore.
i remember him constantly telling the trolls to leave hailey alone because his past relationship are in past.
I remember he posts more about him and hailey and pictures of hailey alone showering her with love and constantly showing the world how much she means to him.
I remember justin always supporting hailey with her work.. may it be rhode or any other project.
I remember when justin was on tour and hailey had to have a brain clot removal surgery how supportive he was.
I remember how he used to fly back to hailey after every single concert just to be with her.
I remember the songs and their beautiful lyrics he dedicated to her.
I remember him referring to hailey as "my wife" more than taking her name.
And i am not even hailing or glorifying justin for doing all this shit because that's what husbands are supposed to do.
Its been 6 YEARS. 6 FRICKIN YEARS. And they have to clarify about the "intention" behind every little thing they do. They have to tell off the annoying media and haters that they are not divorcing like every few weeks. Like recently hailey even said they are not divorcing, it was just two week ago and now there is that rumor AGAIN. just because both of them are taking time off social media and public eyes.
How long they have to do this?
How long before hailey can post something without it automatically being associated with that other woman and a dead relationship?
How long these people have to keep convincing people they aren't gonna get divorce everytime they are not seen together?
How long do they have to listen they are not happy with each other just because to dont give the perfect "happy wife/happy husband smile" and kiss and cuddle everywhere they go?
Like,,,,,, i have NEVER seen a large amount of people having this kind of negative obsession with a couple and wanting them to divorce.. and probably want bieber to go back to the other woman? LoooooooooL
i hope one day they leave hailey alone
actually leave justin alone too cuz he is not wrong to OFFICIALLY end things with ex and move on with his OWN life.
praying for them to be free from this bullshit cuz even hearing things coming up about these three people is EXHAUSTING imagine what hailey and justin have to suffer themselves..
ps: i am not even gonna talk about the shit justin and hailey has gone through which was directly the result/consequence of that other woman's cheap and obsessive actions which apparently is not new, its going on since like 2011-2012 when they first broke up lmao.

the thing with trads is that they are actually disconnected from all senses of past, and their beautiful "past" is pretty much advertising and paintings. your housewife grandma that couldn't divorce most likely spat in her husband's coffee every morning, their children raised under the unquestionable allpowerful nuclear family who beat them up will send her to the cheapest retirement home and openly discuss who's inheriting what in front of her because they fucking hate her. country life is miserable, dirty, lonely. your body will start breaking sooner or later, and good luck finding a rural doctor with decent tools and medicine. your hay roof will home bugs that will kill you, your crops can be eaten by anything or anyone, killed by a passerby, an animal you didn't enclose properly, or simply two consecutive days of bad weather. you will not find it funny having to make the month's grocery shopping and running out of something quicker. the list can go on and on
a lot steams from the idea of escaping "the problem" but what most fail to name is that "the problem" means doing any meaningful action, specially political ones, and most important, learning to coexist with different people. city life could be bearable if cities were planned to be enjoyable, if there werent cars everywhere and instead estrategic planning and public transportation, and apartments built for comfort with thick walls so you can have privacy instead of the cheapest building method, which you could decorate freely instead of having a landlord obsessed with the idea of reselling the place. but that would mean having an opinion that goes against status quo, and that would require a political stance that calls to action
there is also the most notorious part of anti-urban sentiment: racism. to be able to properly coexist would require to put the effort to unlearn bigotry which means helping dismantle it's systemic power. and that, again demands from the individual to care for others. which is why trads are conservative*, because it is easier (and cheaper) to ban than to make an sort of significant change. think for example the abortion laws, the price of the goverment ensuring professional conditions vs just banning it and not even building decent orphanages)
(* there are some "liberal" and "left-leaning" trads, which consider themselves like that because traditionalism is an ideology that rewards lack of critical thinking and herd mentality, so they band with the groups that will give them specific rights, like drug use or lgbt ones, but when bigotry, specially bigotry that does not affect them, appears they sigh and ask for an apolitical space, to just "focus on what they already have" or ask for an imaginary escape)
and with that chosen disconnection from reality and it's issues that require attention it's how they look at the past. they ignore the recounts of people who came before them and instead think the 50s housewife advertisement is real, the paintings of gorgeous women in pastel colors and satin in the middle of untouched nhe hunted filling an entire family for a sustained amount of time. good luck seeing how many births at home you can have. have fun creating all of your furniture
these, at the same time, are solvable issues through a good governmental infraestructure. but that, again, would mean to be "political" and involve yourself in something. an effort. so it's easier to fantasize and then blame modernity for your mistakes and lack of knowledge. that's how traditionalism, no matter how logic or "based" tries to paint itself, is just a massive daydream, an ideology sustained by roman statues and roccoco paintings, the dream of "putting yourself up by your bootstraps" without even having a boot
even their desire to be apolitical is a lie, if being apolitical is even possible, for most just dream of segregation ("each in their own space") and the ability to commit hatecrimes without consequence, with some being more open on their desire and others less. worse than a spoiled child, it's the dream of never being held accountable, of moving to where no one would judge you, no one can correct you, where you can remain in your echo chamber forever and beat up anyone who dares question you

I made an account for the sole purpose of this TUA fic concept
I’m a sucker for those “the characters read the books/watch the series” fics and I’ve read a little for TUA but I just had the idea:
The Hargreeves kids watching the two seasons but instead of just the seven of them, their birth mothers are brought in to watch as well
Maybe have the birth mothers family (if they have any) watch it with them
This happens before everything. Before Ben’s death, before Five’s disappearance, before they even have their names. The kids, One through Seven, are brought in. Maybe when they’re old enough to get the gist of what’s going on, but before they’re 13.
These 6 young women are brought in (because I adore that Luther and Five being twins is canon in the comics and I love the mention of it), and they’re confused because maybe The Umbrella Academy isn’t internationally well known so the kids are familiar but they can’t put the name to the face. Not until they introduce themselves, anyways, and suddenly they’re face to face with the baby that they gave away years ago.
Maybe a few of them regret it, maybe they tried to forget it, maybe they spend so much of their time thinking about it or maybe they’re overjoyed that their baby seems to be doing so well.
But their names.
There’s just so much about them that doesn’t feel,,, so right? Maybe that’s not the word for it but they’re too polite sometimes, their casually cruel treatment towards their sister isn’t normal and the way that they simultaneously act entitled and inferior towards each other isn’t suppose to be as normal as the kids make it out to be.
All in all, the women are confused and maybe a bit wary of their casual usage of powers among each other that’s normal to the siblings as much as it is abnormal to the birth mothers.
But communication is easy since each child learned their own mother language as well as the language of their siblings birth place and then some which only seems to remind the women that holy shit these kids are technically rich because of their father
The Hargreeves though? They’re confused and wary as hell. They may not have been introduced as The Inaugural Class of The Umbrella Academy yet (or maybe they have considering what your timeline is) but they’ve been training for most of their life and the situation is baffling. Here are these random people that they’ve never met before (at least to their knowledge) and they’ve never had to go outside to interact with others, not really at least.
So it makes sense that they go for polite but threatening. They maybe decide unanimously that the weaker willed ones like Four, Six and Seven are discreetly protected behind their older (in spirit) siblings, One, Two, Three and Five.
But they’re no real threat, its obvious in the way that the Hispanic woman uses such an endearing term like “mijo/a” and the way that the Russian woman has an ever present smile on her face and such a sweet disposition that reminds them of their littlest sibling and hey her eyes look just like Seven
So after a while, they’re more open to being relaxed. Not Five though, he’s always been just a little paranoid and being a 58-year-old in a 13-year-old body never had anything to do with it. So he’s got a harsh personality but the Danish woman doesn’t seem to be deterred. He kind of reminds her of her older twin brother who acts so harshly, but who she knows loves her so much.
So here are 7 siblings and 6 women and maybe family that was there for the women when they needed them the most. And maybe the person(s) behind this decide to be kept anonymous but they oh so want the children to get to know what being cared for is like. Maybe these women get to know the consequences of their actions or the children learn that the one who birthed them had their reasons. And it’s no excuse but it’s also not their fault. Both parties should be able to feel what they feel because it’s a complicated and maybe painful situation.
The children lose their respect for their father every episode. Even One, who they all know cherished the favoritism but it doesn’t get in the way of his horror when he finds out that he used to lock Four in the mausoleum, still does if the flashbacks are anything to go by because not Four, not the kindest and brightest of their siblings.
And when they learn of Seven’s powers and the reason why they are never present, they are understandably upset. They feel rage and disbelief that she had such a crucial part of herself ripped away at such a young age, because they know that their powers are like another limb. They’re born with it and they grow up with it and they were able to live their life with it so they feel rage. Rage that Seven had been so violated. Rage that the Seven they know isn’t really the Seven she was suppose to grow up to be. The Seven they knew as toddlers was sweet towards them but had a mean protective streak a mile wide that could never be controlled, not even by their father. The Seven they know now is so meek and desperate for attention. The Russian woman looks the most devastated as she thinks of the baby girl she got to hold for only a few hours before she was whisked away by a rich old man who is turning out to be the monster that one often hears about in television.
But the women? They watch as the children in front of them, maybe a little damaged and emotionally constipated but so obviously protective and caring for each other, grow to be the grow ups in the screen above them that grow up and grow apart after so much tragedy.
They watch as seven eventually becomes five.
How Luther is sent to isolation for years and he goes along with it in a bid to continue to please their father.
How Diego continues to rebel because he wasn’t able to growing up but also maybe because he wants to spite his father, no matter how much he protests that he could care less what his father thinks.
How Allison goes through a divorce and loses her parental rights to even see her daughter due to her dependence of her powers that leaves her devastated.
How Klaus is an addict who desperately wishes to get rid of the ghosts that have followed him all his life.
How Five disappears only a little while after their current timeline.
How Ben was brutally killed by his own powers, never getting to grow up and become his own person.
How Vanya can’t seem to do anything but go through the motions of her life, maybe having a little hope that she’ll be seen this time around, but is quickly squashed from Diego’s disparaging comments and the casual dismissal of her from her living siblings.
They watch all this, and feel sadness and rightful anger that their babies lead the life of ex-child superheroes. The life of abused children. The life of children who had only each other.
But was it really enough? Was it enough to know that they loved each other but had a hard time showing it and owning up to it due to fear of their father? Due to the constant comparisons and the way Sir Reginald had them turn on each other.
But they knew it was enough. They see it in how Diego waits for Klaus to drive him around even after he had expresses annoyance beforehand, in the joy on Allison’s face when she sees Klaus again after so long, in how Five makes sure to check up on Klaus after his kidnapping, on Luther’s face when he apologizes to Vanya after realizing his own misgivings, in Ben’s task of continuing to follow his brother around even when it pains him and in Klaus trying to comfort Luther after he finds the unopened correspondents. They see it in the support they show Vanya as she goes to check on Harlan.
It had to be enough to know that after all they went through, they still care for one another and at the end of the day, would protect one another just as they were as One through Seven.
So they watch what would be the Hargreeve’s kids misadventures, they watch as they grow together and grow apart just to grow together again, much stronger than before.
They express sadness and disbelief when they see where Five ends up, they get mad when Leonard throws Vanya’s pills away, they grieve when they learn that Ben is dead, they’re embarrassed but find it hilarious whenever Klaus cracks an inappropriate joke, they become protective when there’s allusion to Vanya having sex, and are rightfully ready to throw down with Leonard as they watch their littlest sibling get gaslit into believing her family hates her as he nitpicks all of her interactions with her family.
But just as they express their feelings over what happens to their family, they feel an immense amount of exasperation towards their older selves because so much could be fixed if they only talked to each other.
They watch and despair over the missed opportunity that is Leonard in the same house as them just as they find out what his role is in the apocalypse.
Four tears up as he watched Klaus and Dave’s reunion be undone after all the heartache.
Seven cringes when Vanya dismisses Five’s claims that he had been stuck in an apocalyptic wasteland and suggests that he’s gone crazy after his stint with time travel.
Three feels her heart drop to her stomach as the flashback shows what becomes the moment that she faces the hard truth that come with her use of her powers.
Five feels himself flush in embarrassment as he watched two version of himself in the future, one that looks not much older than he does currently, go through paradox psychosis.
Six feels frustration and a fierce grief that leaves him confused because he’s still alive he’s not dead, but I don’t have much longer.
One feels horror as he watches himself hurt his siblings one after the other with a sense of helplessness because this isn’t me, I wouldn’t do this but I already did, why would I hurt my siblings, I’m Number One I have to be the one who protects them-
The women, on the other hand, see themselves in their children.
The French woman sees how her daughter and granddaughter, it seems, both look like a carbon copy of herself and her own mother.
The Danish woman sees herself and her twin brother in Luther and Five. Sees her own personality reflected in Luther and her brothers personality in Five. Sees how her twins care just as much for each other and their siblings as herself and her brother do each other.
The Hispanic woman sees Diego’s fierce sense of justice that leaves others in the dust, and sees herself as she fought to keep her boy but ultimately lost him just as Diego loses Eudora. She thinks to herself like mother like son and bitterly laughs to herself but she’s so grateful that Diego had a mother who cared for him just as she cared for him because she often though about him and always made sure to commemorate his birthday.
The German woman can’t help but see herself in her boy. Can’t help but see her little brother in him. Can’t help but see her older brother in him. Because Klaus is so joyful but he hides his pain behind a mask like her younger brother, he’s so loving towards his siblings like her older brother, and so nonsensical like herself. So like herself, down to the curly hair and the addiction. Even if she was able to overcome it with support from her family, it pains her and leaves her in despair to see Klaus and can’t find fault in those he had around him because she sees how much they try and sees how hard the Hargreeves find expressing emotion is to others.
The Asian woman sees how sweet and shy her youngest is and thinks only of her oldest, who reminds her so much of him and can only despair in seeing that he didn’t live as long as her oldest had. She can only ask herself why her children don’t seem to be able to see themselves to adulthood but can only be grateful that even in death he has someone with him.
The Russian woman knows that her husband sees her in little number Seven, in Vanya, no matter how little that is. Maybe their personalities aren’t so similar because Seven is shy but she’s got the sweetest heart and so clearly loves her siblings. She has the same smile that she has and her little doe eyes remind her of herself when she was younger. She’s so small next to her siblings, just like herself.
So they see themselves in these kids, these grown ups. But so do the Hargreeves.
They see how Luther looks like what the Danish woman would look like as a man and how Five looks exactly like a younger version of the Danish man who introduced himself as the woman's older brother.
They see how Two has the same skin tone and facial structure as the Hispanic woman.
They see that Allison looks exactly like the French woman and see the same in Claire.
They see Four’s curly hair and slim build in the German woman.
They notice how Six shares the same dark hair and lower facial features.
They see Seven’s eyes and smile and short stature in the Russian woman.
So maybe they don’t know them well enough to see what the women see, but they grow to see it overtime because they spend so much time there, in this suspended room in time.
The women insist on getting to know them and vice versa. They insist that they have to talk about their feelings and assure them or gently scold them, depending on the reason, for what they feel because god do these children need to learn how to talk more about their emotions in a healthy way.
They get closer to the children and start to really see their childish side. They all fight over the silliest things, and become pouty when attention isn’t being drawn over to them. They crave physical affection, even Five who won’t admit that his maternal uncle patting him and One of the head made him feel all gooey inside. They make faces towards foods that they don’t like and still prefer junk food over real food.
So maybe it’s harder to let themselves act like children because they’re being conditioned to not “be childish” but even then they have their lapses in control. Four enters a state of panic after being reminded of his time in the mausoleum. One feels overwhelming guilt when he sees how Luther hurts Klaus and reminds himself that he’s the one that needs to protect them, as the leader and self proclaimed older sibling. Five feels himself cry for the first time in a long while when he sees how his siblings act towards him in the future and realize it hurts him deeply because he knows that he’s messed up their lives a lot but can’t they see that he only want to keep them alive, he doesn’t want to see them die again, he can’t-
But instead of being shamed into controlling their emotions, they are comforted and reassured. Four’s birth mother helps ground him and counts his breathing with him to keep him from falling further into his panic. One get’s reassured by his birth mother that his future self isn’t his current self. That everyone in the room has seen just how much he cares for his siblings and knows he would do anything for them. The twins uncle gives into his urge and hugs Five, whispering in a hushed tone that it’s okay to cry, to let it all out. He whispers that his older siblings are being idiots and if they knew just how much their actions were hurting you, they wouldn’t hesitate to apologize and hug you too. His words only make Five cry harder.
So they are cared for and allowed to be themselves fully and can be childish to their hearts content. And their birth families watch on in amazement and adoration.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have so much more that I’ll probably add later, but basically I want them to be cared for, allowed to care for each other and learn to express themselves better. I want to see them get to have a good relationship with an adult and if possible their birth mothers.
Pls share links and stuff if you get inspired, I’m not much for writing fanfic but I really do want to see something like this. I’d read the shit out of it. I have so much more that I want to add but I’ll probably do something about it later.

A Bad Idea - Dieter Bravo x Reader
First of all: I did not write this story. @the-blind-assassin-12 did, and it’s not showing up in the tags - and that’s UNACCEPTABLE.
Everyone needs to read this. It’s heavy in terms of the things that happen within the story, but the descriptions of said things aren’t detailed. There is smut. There is language. Dieter’s drug use is mentioned.
A couple other warnings, straight from Alyssa herself:
Sex, filming sexual interactions (consensually) language, mention of drug use, mention of discrimination based on sexual orientation, divorce, panic attacks, having intimate videos stolen and shared without permission. ** If you are at all unsure or uncomfortable about the content feel free to message her for more detail *
Check the story out here (A Bad Idea), and check out my thoughts below the cut because I have so many incredible things to say about this story that just leaving a short comment is NOT the best course of action.
This story is about so much more than making a sex tape. It’s about the connection that people make when they really let themselves fall in love with each other. It’s about trust. It’s about compassion. It’s about finding a circle of people that you know you can count on. It’s about the things we learn about each other and what we want as time passes.
This uses a character like Dieter’s most basic qualities and habits and gives him a chance to grow and learn and become something else over time.
I was so happy when you told me you were writing for Dieter, because I knew your take on him would be more than just a typical scenario. You’d look at him and give him something - and someone - and a situation that he truly deserves. (Not that he deserves to have his privacy invated, but you know what I mean)
And you do it in a way that’s smart. It’s clear that both of them know that this tape’s creation isn’t the best idea, but they overlook that. They know there’s a risk. They know that there could be consequences - but this is important to them, because even though they don’t need to show that they connect on this level, it’s something for them to have in the lonely times. It’s (like Dieter said) something for him to listen to on his headphones in his trailer, or while he’s trying to get himself off quick. It’s proof that someone trusts and loves him enough to create physical evidence of their pairing. It’s showing him that someone else believes he’s good enough and worth doing this with - and that wants to be able to see themselves and hear themselves on the tape, too.
Even though the smut in this is in the beginning, it’s very clear that they know each other and love each other and that when it comes to what they feel and how they act, there’s nothing in question. in the moment, it’s not a bad idea. (And I don’t even think that in the future, it’s a bad idea, either ... because it’s supposed to stay private. It’s supposed to just be for them.)
But of course, the best laid plans always go to shit. It doesn’t really matter in the moment how or why the video got out. It doesn’t matter who leaked it or who saw it or where it was hosted, because the fact is that it DID get out - and now it has to be dealt with.
I’m so glad Reader’s got these two with her, because they can keep her safe and get her to somewhere away from the prying eyes. They can make sure that the fallout from this is initially as minimal as possible. They can help to keep her focused and keep her moving even though the first instinct is to freeze. These people that are staring and smirking and judging when they have no right to can all go to hell, because they don’t matter, and they never will.
I love the headlines, though. I LOVE them. They are perfectly click-baity and just catchy enough to garner attention and just fucking SMARMY. Perfect.
But I really don’t think Dieter’s gonna leave her because of this. She didn’t leak it. She didn’t put it out there - this isn’t her fault. (I don’t think she really believes he will, either, but I understand why her mind went there.)
The way you weave in their story throughout is so well done. It establishes  their history. It establishes that she’s never had any need to ‘use’ him for anything. She has her own career and her own talent and her own friends and her own interests. They met because their friends thought that they would be a good match, and it turned out to be the truth. I also love that he was interested in her art before he was interested in her - because I’m sure that meeting her was just a cherry on top of that cupcake, and the fact that she LIKED him was extra fucking sprinkles.
Of course he’s gonna drop everything and come to her. Why wouldn’t he? A photo shoot means nothing when all of this is going on, and he has somewhere he needs to be.
And again - this moment between them where he agrees that none of this is typical and that he does in fact want more? It’s showing just how much he’s already grown and changed. It’s showing just how self aware he is. It’s giving us more of the Dieter we met in The Bubble at the same time as it’s giving us a totally DIFFERENT Dieter, too. That circle of trust about the first marriage and what ended it is so fucking small, and now she’s in it - and if that’s not proof that he’s serious about wanting this, I don’t know what is. (I love this detail about Anika knowing, too, because it means that Dieter was serious with her, even if it ended up not working out how he wanted it to!)
The details in this section? STUNNINGLY WELL DONE. the color of his eyes. the new tattoo of the butterfly. the honest way he speaks. the admission that for him, it’s already too late to not TRY?? oof. we needed this and you delivered.
Seeing things from his perspective is really interesting to me, too. It backs up that his thoughts match his actions. He doesn’t care what happens with him - this isn’t going to fuck everything up the same way it could for her. This isn’t even a huge deal when compared to other Hollywood scandals ... but the two of them have to treat it like it is, because it has the potential to ruin her career and her life and to permanently destroy her privacy. The relationship itself cannot be easy for her - just because of who and what Dieter is, but with this added? It’s not going to get any easier for a very long time.
Also, I NEED someone to illustrate this Dieter calendar page. Mr. October posing for the camera in almost nothing? I’m drooling over here imagining the hairstyle and beard and the earring. SOMEONE ASSIST.
Also, sorry about that, Dieter. It was me that hacked the CB 6 email. I was just trying to save you from that BS. I tried. I did my best. (The detail about the pay cuts is peak Good Guy Dieter, too. I am so happy you included that)
I think I just blacked out at the thought of watching a sex tape of myself with Dieter Bravo while reenacting the contents of it. Fuck.
And then he gets to where she’s at and it’s not EASY but he makes it all better, because as soon as they’re in the same room, no matter how horrible this is and is going to be, they have each other. She’s not leaving. He’s not leaving. And him telling her that he’d give everything up at the drop of a hat if it meant making sure she was OK? He understands what’s important and it’s not the awards or the recognition. It’s not the popularity or the money. He’s doing the right thing here, and I love him for it. He knows where he needs to be, and I don’t know that if you’d asked him a few years earlier, he would have given the same answer - BUT THAT’S CHARACTER GROWTH AND WE LOVE IT.
And you know what? Finding out that the fallout of this wasn’t as bad as it could have been - that it sucked and it was an invasion of privacy and it did cost them some things - but ultimately led to them growing closer? That they gained more from it than they lost? That’s not quite worth the invasion of privacy, but it helps to soothe the sting. They made the most out of a horrible situation. They weathered the storm together, and while it’ll never be truly behind them, they can still move forward and that’s all that matters.
This was perfectly written. Perfectly handled. Perfectly presented. You could feel how much they love and respect each other in every word of it. You can feel exactly what they feel about the violation of their privacy. You know that it’s eating up both of them - but that it’s going to pass. It’s only natural to question everything when your entire world is shattered, but they don’t have to question each other anymore, and that’s important.
I’m sure I’ll find other things to screech about in the near future, but you nailed this, and I cannot wait to read more of your Dieter - whether it’s this one or a different one. Please don’t ever doubt your writing abilities again, Alyssa. This did not feel like 8k. This smut was great. The characterization was on point without stunting his growth. You got this right.

thoughts on deltarune and papyrus’ missing status therein
So, I’ve been thinking about Deltarune stuff. Mostly just me rambling, so idk if you would consider it an actual theory of not.
There are plenty of differences in the Undertale and Deltarune stories, like how the monsters are the ones above ground, how different characters interact with each other, etc.
(Also spoilers for Undertale and the first two chapters of Deltarune)
(also another note: this was supposed to just be like a few thoughts, like, three paragraphs tops, but then, as usual, I got carried away.)
One of the main ones though is the age difference between characters and their counterparts. Kris, Deltarune’s version of Undertale’s Frisk, seems to be pre-teen to young teen as opposed a kid somewhere in the 7-10 range. This also goes for monster kid that looks to be older in Deltarune then he was in Undertale, following Kris into the pre-teen age. There is also Bratty and Catty who go from teens to being old enough to have their own families. And, of course Asriel who went from being a child, to being old enough to go to a university out of town, and is said to be about the same age as Bratty and Catty( it could be argued that he would have been about their age in Undertale if he had not been turned into Flowey, etc.)
There is actually another variation of age where some characters, and that’s some of them are younger than their Undertale counterparts. For instance there is Temmi who was old enough to go to “cooleg” in Undertale, but is in Frisk’s class in Deltarune. Or the few that didn’t have a very discernible ages that were made to be about Frisk’s age like Snowdrake.
Another thing to note about is the parallels between the characters and some of the dark world counter parts. For instance, the King is there to help Susie reflect on how she’s treating other people, and the queen is there to help Noelle to learn to stand up to people (and to a minor degree show Birdly how he treats people much like Susie and the King.) Though I don’t have much to base it on, I also get the feeling that the alt bosses are there to represent parts of Frisk that they need to understand and work on.
Jevil showing that they have a problem with controlling themselves sometimes like how Jevil being cast out and locked away for causing problems in his kingdom, and Kris being constantly reminded by his friends and family that they have a problem with taking jokes too far and having little self control with things like eating all the desert in their house before anyone else could have any, scaring Noelle so badly and so often that her family was hesitant to even let them hang out with each other for awhile. Spamton being the feeling of loneliness that they feel now that they are being faced with the consequences of those actions, with Kris feeling like they had been tossed away like trash. The feeling of isolation with Spamton could also be related to them being in a divorced household, and their brother leaving. They used to have someone to help them get through the hard times with that, but with Asriel and Des going to university out of town and Noelle seemingly not hangin out with them much anymore close to when that happened, they were left to handle their parents fighting all by themself. And, while neither Toriel nor Asgore seem like they purposely want to put that pressure on Kris they do still get them involved with things like Asgore using them to try to give their mother flowers to apologize for things, and Toriel doing things like not even using their father’s name, making Frisk feel like they’re basically sneaking behind their parent’s back whenever they want to talk to one or the other.
That idea aside, where I was going with this is that the bosses in the dark world seem to be mirrors or foils to help the main cast of characters see things about themselves and maybe find a way to work on them.
There is one returning character from Undertale, the everyone is begging to see and Toby keeps teasing, and that is none other than Papyrus. This is where the other things I just talked about come into play. As I think that at some point, Papyrus is going to be one of the friends that Kris ends up taking to the dark world, but I don’t think that will happen until one of the later chapters. This is because there might be a good chance that his dark world mirror, or perhaps the alt boss for his section of dark world could be Gaster.
Now, I’m not going to say that even with some of the hints that it’s certain Gaster will be in Deltarune at all. What a lot of people use for proof that he is, is the fact that when you stand by the bunker at the bottom of town, or use your cell in the dark world, it plays noises that sound like the ones that play in the Darker, Darker, yet, Darker sequence(which could been seen as another hint.) While that could be, it could also be Toby Fox reusing sound fonts and existing sound effects to get the point across as well. A instance of him doing this is in chapter 2 there is a mini-game where you pop balloons, and when the balloons pop they make the same noise the heart in Undertale makes when it shatters. Just because he used the same sound effect doesn’t mean that when you pop the balloons in Deltarune, you’re committing mass murder.
But, let’s say that Gaster is indeed in the game. He would make a great mirror for Deltarune’s version of Papyrus. Papyrus in this game seems to be a bit younger than he was in Undertale, though there’s not much solid proof of this. Something that makes it difficult to tell is that he was one of the characters that didn’t have a very definable age in the first one. While most people thought that he was a young adult with an innocent personality, there is the chance that he was always younger than what we thought he was seeing as he still had things like toys, a race car bed, a favorite bed-time story, and believes in Santa. Now, I think he would be a teenager at the youngest, perhaps and older teen around Catty and Bratty’s age, and his interests and hobbies lined up with things considered for people about five to ten years his age and not an adult who’s hobbies tended to be around fifteen to twenty years younger( this is an in general statement. I get people can be into whatever hobbies at whatever age, this just means, like, the people who are generally into certain things like Santa and race car beds.)
Regardless of his age in Undertale, though, there is a good chance that he is closer to Kris’s age in Deltarune. This would hold up as Sans asks Kris to hang out with Papyrus, trying to maybe get his brother friends his own age. And, many younger people, teens especially, don’t handle things like moving to different towns that well. This could be one of the reasons that Papyrus sort of locks himself in his house and won’t talk to anyone but his brother. The lack of confidence could also be a younger Papyrus not being as confident in his abilities to make friends, which was something that he also seemed to struggle with in Undertale; except in the Deltarune world, he doesn’t have his guard duty to keep him active or get him out and about, so he hides away instead. That could be his development in his version of the dark world. The whole thing with Gaster disappearing and feeling like no one can see him could be a reflection on how this Papyrus feels, and going through his adventure could help him be closer to the original Papyrus that we all know and love. We might just have to wait for him, though, as it will take Sans bugging him for a week or so before he finally gives in and decides to hang out with Kris.
Anyways, if you read this, thank you for digging through my word vomit. Again, not really a theory per se, just me thinking (typing) aloud.

Alright, on to chapter 126 of AoT!
I’ve been waiting to get to this chapter and talk about it a bit!
It’s, in a lot of ways, kind of the climax of the development we’ve seen between Levi’s and Hange’s character’s since the start of the time skip, and really since Hange took over as Commander of the SC.
One thing I want to talk about is Hange’s reaction at the start of the chapter, after they shoot that one soldier dead.  They’re crying, and while obviously this is in part because of the pain of having to turn against one of their own, the pain of having to choose, and pick one life over the other, this being Levi’s life over the soldiers pursuing them, when I first read this chapter some months back, my initial impression was that Hange was crying, also, because of the tragedy of the entire situation, in which both they and Levi, two veteran members of the SC, who had dedicated everything they had, from the beginning, to the salvation of humanity, were now being hunted by the very people they’d tried so hard to protect.  It’s an incredibly powerful image of Hange, their expression one of hardened determination, while a tear slides down their cheek, and it’s the next two panels, Hange going back to Levi, and telling him “There’s no one after us now.  Levi...” which really gave me the impression that their tears were for him too, for the helpless, vulnerable state Levi is in, for him being at deaths door, for the tragedy of their being betrayed by their own people, and how it’s led to this.  It strikes me as particularly heartbreaking, that Levi and Hange both were the most dedicated and selfless of soldiers for the Survey Corps, the two that in many ways most embodied the ideals of that group, to fight for and protect humanity, no matter the sacrifice to themselves.  Levi especially never expressed or conveyed any desire for himself, not even something as simple as curiosity, but fought only for the hope of one day giving humanity back it’s freedom.  I think Hange’s tears are shed here because of that, because they have to look at Levi like this now, broken, almost dead, ravaged and betrayed by the very people he fought and risked his life for again and again and again, unable to fight back as those same people now come to kill him.  That Hange had to kill two of those very people in order to protect Levi’s life is what, I think, is so tragic to them, what brings them to tears.
Hange’s entire dialog in the forest, when they think Levi is unconscious still, reveals a lot too, I think.  They talk about how they’ll be on the run for the rest of their lives in the Yaegerist’s take control of the island, how they’ve now become “enemies of the state”, and that reflects, again, the tragedy I think Hange feels over their situation.  How it’s them specifically, them and Levi, who are now being hunted, all their previous contributions and dedication to humanity’s cause forgotten and thrown in the trash.  It’s reflected too in how we see the Yaegerist’s take up the chant of “Dedicate your hearts” twisting it to fit their own, deluded views and beliefs, perverting it until it loses all of his previous meaning.  “Dedicate your hearts” was what the members of the Survery Corps cried out in service to humanity, in service to humanity’s survival, it’s hope and freedom.  And now, the Yaegerist’s are using it as a cry for the destruction of humanity, for the eradication of everyone but themselves.  What Levi and Hange both fought for in their military service was to save humanity, they both represented that ideal in pureness and conviction, never wavering or straying from it, and so the Yaegerist’s specific persecution of them really highlights just how corrupted and perverted their own driving philosophy is.  That they wish to destroy the two soldiers who most encompassed in themselves the genuine ideal of the Survey Corps, the salvation of humanity, the desire to make a better world, a better future, a hopeful future, for the most people possible.  The Yeagerist’s want to stamp that out, and Levi and Hange are like the last, real bastions of that ideal in living, tangible form.
I think that’s only emphasized in how neither Hange nor Levi ever consider for even a moment the possibility of giving up and letting Eren have his way.  Every other member of the SC, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, at some point, contemplated and even for a brief moment, accepted, that there was nothing they could do, and were going to stay on the island and just let the Rumbling happen.  They give up, even if only for a moment, and try to logically excuse that decision.  But Levi asks Hange in that forest, “If we keep running and hiding, what will that get us?”, and reminds Hange that he knows them too well to buy that they were ever genuinely thinking of staying there and doing nothing.  It isn’t an option, for either of them.  Inaction has never been something either of them could abide.  Levi specifically was drawn to Erwin because of his refusal to do nothing, to have the guts to make a decision, no matter the outcome, and Levi himself has always strived to act, to do the same and make a choice, and to commit to that choice fully, and accept the consequences.  So neither of them were ever going to give up, were ever going to just sit there and let the Rumbling happen.  Both Levi and Hange really affirm beyond doubt in this moment how deeply they embody the ideals and goals of the Survey Corps, to dedicate your heart, body and soul, for the sake of humanity.  To sacrifice your own hopes and dreams, even your very life, for that ideal.  It’s never even a question for them.  And them being the last two surviving members of the SC veterans, it only feels appropriate.  They were there before everything changed, when it really was just a pure and simple attempt to defeat the Titans and win humanity back their freedom, and there they remain, even after everything has changed, the circumstances, the stakes, the enemy, still fighting for that same goal, to save humanity.
I also just want to point out the look of total despair on Levi’s face when Hange asks him what happened with Zeke, and later on in the chapter, when they’re talking to Pieck and Magath.  I think Levi is burdened by a deep sense of regret here, which is something he always tries his best not to be, and it’s because he allowed Zeke to escape, which led to him making contact with Eren and setting this entire disaster off.  Levi chastises himself, saying “I screwed up.  I wasn’t able to figure out if he was truly ready to die... I let him get away again.”.  I think Levi is blaming himself for what’s happening, even though it’s really not his fault, it’s Zeke’s and Eren’s.  But Levi’s almost obsession with making choices without regret is born from, I think, a deep struggle to hold to that philosophy.  He tries so hard to believe in it, to live it, But I think Levi struggles with believing in it, with making a firm and unyielding choice, and pushing past whatever the consequences are to keep moving forward.  He’s someone who’s experienced so much pain and loss in his life, and because of that, because of those experiences and that grief, just over and over again having everything he’s ever loved and cared for ripped away from him, its made it only more of a struggle for him to carry on and not regret.  For all of Levi’s seemingly stoic, harsh exterior, it’s plain, I think, that inside, he’s in actuality the most deeply feeling, sensitive and compassionate character in SnK, and the most deeply affected character when it comes to the suffering and pain of others.  He understands it, and empathizes with it, more than anyone.  In some ways, Levi strikes me as almost brittle inside, so easily hurt, so easily moved to compassion and understanding.  He has a terribly soft and vulnerable heart. It’s why he’s so non-judgmental, too, I think, when he sees someone else struggling with their own choices, why he refuses to ever try and force others to agree with him, or convince them that he’s right and they’re wrong.  Why he tries, in his awkward but kind way, to comfort them.  Why he says again and again that he doesn’t know what is or isn’t the right choice.  Because he knows how hard it is.  Because for Levi, despite refusing inaction, and despite striving to always act and not regret his choices, he still has to live with and carry the weight of those actions consequences, the outcomes of his decisions, and he isn’t ever able to divorce himself from that, from the feelings of pain and sadness and heartbreak that comes with each loss, each defeat, each failure.  He feels too much, and too deeply, and he’ll always struggle to continue on, even as he refuses not to, even as he dedicates himself to it.  It’s precisely BECAUSE it’s hard for Levi to not regret, to keep fighting and acting, and push through his pain, that makes him so heroic.  He never succumbs to what I think are obviously real, probably at times overwhelming feelings of depression and despair.  He always keeps fighting, even as he’s drowning.  I think Levi is drowning all throughout this final arc, the waves of his sadness and struggle against feelings of hopelessness always threatening to drag him under.  But he never lets them.  He never stops swimming, never stops pushing towards the shore.  And that’s Levi’s true strength.  That refusal to give up, even when he’s filled with despair and regret.
One last thing.  I’ve never seen anyone else mention how Levi saved himself from dying when Zeke detonated the thunder spear by shielding himself with his own blade.  Levi tucked himself up against it and braced for the impact of the explosion.  If he hadn’t thought and acted quickly enough to do that, he probably would have died.  Well, just another example of Levi’s refusal to give in to hopelessness.  Anyone else probably would have.

Would you go into more details about your OC’s backstories?? They all look so cool 😆
I would love to! Thank you so much for this question :)
I'm going to focus distinctly on their childhood for these descriptions.
(mentions of drug addiciton, war, and violence)
Before I get into their backstories, it is important to address their environmental situation for context.
In their childhood, there was a civil war going on within America. This is a fictional war, of course, taking place in the early 2000s. Lenis, Everest, Flint, and Darryon all have their parts to play, and the war affects the four in different ways. While Lenis, Everest, and Flint are trying to escape war from their hometown and cross the country, Darryon and his siblings are attending shelters and risk their lives trying to help in any way they can.
So now that we have some context of their biggest childhood dilemma, let's get into the four individually. I won't go into complete detail to avoid any spoilers I'd like to share later on, but I will dive into their personalities and importance. I don't know how long this post will be, but I'll try to keep it as short as I can.
Lenis, 13 years old - tall, blond, a bit tan, a distinct scar on his left jaw, brown eyes
Lenis lives in a small town in Ohio. It's a bit run down, and his house is in bad shape. Considering his family is lower class, he doesn't have much money to spend, and he gets by with what he has. He lives with his two strict parents, him being an only child. But he takes care of a stray cat that lives in a forest behind his home that he calls "Otter." Whenever he tries to get the cat to stay in the house, his parents don't allow it. They can't exactly afford to take care of an animal, especially when they have to pay for his monthly medication and doctor visits.
He has a bone condition where his bones are incredibly fragile. He can't walk for very long, and running is even worse on him. It doesn't take a lot of force to break a bone either, and he's had to visit the doctor numerous times for fractures and snaps. So he has a medication that helps him not feel the aching as much, and allows him to walk or run for a time. He is in no way a strong person. His physical strength is constantly challenged and he feels like a burden to those he loves whenever they have to make sacrifices to just to help him. Especially when it comes to his best friend, Everest.
He is always being protected by Everest. He's taken multiple punches for him, he has to carry him sometimes, he can't do a lot of outdoor activities with him due to how easy it is to get injured. Lenis hates this. He hates being held back and he hates that his best friend has to be held back too because of it. He often tells Everest that he can do things himself, but that ends with him getting hurt more than not.
Lenis really is a grateful and humble soul. He tries to find the good in every situation no matter how painful it can be. This is especially apparent for his friends. If anything is troubling them, he will do what he can to get them through it. His optimism was a lot more prominent when he was a child, though. After escaping war, he finds it difficult to find the good in bad situations. But that doesn't mean he won't try to. It's safe to say the light in his eyes are faded as he grew older.
Everest, 13 years old - short, red head, blue eyes
This is Lenis' best friend, that's how everyone at his school titles him. Because he is constantly by his side more than he is alone. He knew Lenis since he was a toddler due to their mothers being friends, and ever since then, Lenis would nickname him "Evvy." Everest was always like a brother to him. He was incredibly protective and would often put Lenis before him.
Emotions and Everest don't exactly work well together. He tends to be reserved. Cold and bitter, even. If he's showing any extreme emotion, it tends to be anger or frustration. But he has a soft spot for Lenis. He's really one of the only people around him that can make him smile. Other than his mom, of course, who he lives with down the street from Lenis. His mother was pregnant before he left home; his father having left after a short and abrupt divorce. Little information was given to him about why that occurred. But his mom was happier, and that's what he wanted. He was never close with his father anyway.
Everest knows that his protectiveness over his friends, especially Lenis, can be a fault at times. He's gotten hurt many times due to it, both mentally and physically. And it isn't even because his friends are defenseless. He knows they can protect themselves if they need to, but he cannot help himself. He can't let them get hurt if he can stop it. He speaks bluntly, and his words may go over a few lines, or he may be prone to starting arguments, but he is incredibly selfless. He means well in every action he takes despite all of that.
Flint, 12 years old - short, black buzz cut, large dark eyes
Flint is a troubled child to say the least. He's callous towards others, he seems to only care about himself, and he isn't afraid to use force and threaten violence. He was Lenis' biggest bully after ending his friendship with him in a desperate fit to steal his pain medicine. Yes, Lenis and him were friends before that. And Flint truly wanted to continue the friendship, but he needed those pills. Lenis wasn't going to just give them to him. So he had to resort to violence, thus harming Lenis, and regretting it later.
It's easy to think that maybe Flint had a drug addiction, and stole Lenis' pills because of that. But that isn't the case at all. It wasn't because of an addiction, it was for a much deeper reason.
His younger sister, Penny, was facing a horrible sickness that was going to kill her if she didn't get the right treatments. His mother, being constantly intoxicated with alcohol, spent all of her money on things she didn't need. So she couldn't afford Penny to have any treatment at all. Flint, who has been basically raising his little sister, decided to take matters into his own hands, and find any possible way to make her feel better. Even if it meant harming Lenis for some pills.
Flint loves his sister more than anyone. Or loved, at least. She unfortunately didn't make it long after the pain medicine incident.
He wants to be good, he really does. But Flint is difficult to get along with. Especially with Everest. Much like the red head, Flint has a short temper, and they always fight with each other. But also like Everest, he has a soft spot for Lenis (he is sort of like the peacemaker of the group). Flint is incredibly emotional, and he always says what's on his mind, even if they're not so nice things. He feels regretful for a lot of things, though. He's trying to be a better person, and befriending Lenis again is something he is determined to do.
Darryon, 12 years old - Average height, black curly hair, dark eyes, has an intense burn scar along his face
Darryon lives in California with his siblings, and only his siblings. His parents died in a car crash while they were on their way home from a relative's house. The war was breaking out, and they were caught up in it at the worst possible time. Darryon's oldest brother was a soldier in the war, and his oldest sister was her younger siblings' guardian while he was gone. He has five siblings, not counting himself. Three girls and two boys. And he is very close with each of them, especially his oldest sister, Carlitha. She followed shelters, and he did the same. For a long time, she was concerned for his wellbeing considering just how dangerous a job like this was. They were always venturing in war zones and had to face many hardships. But even at a young age, Darryon wanted to be part of something bigger than himself. His parents' death were a big motivator in his efforts, and he found that helping others get through the war was an effective coping mechanism.
He didn't go through these hardships without consequences, though. On one occasion, a shelter he was attending got bombed, and he was caught in the flames, leaving the brutal burn marks you see on him now. These marks filled the mouths of the other kids at his school when he tried going back. But how can anyone go back to a normal life after that? Luckily he had a good group of friends to back him up during his good and hard nights.
He has a very distinct sense of humor, and finds it easy to entertain himself when no one is around. Some of the kids at his school think he's weird because of his behavior at times. He talks to himself out loud, he has a funny laugh, he has a few imaginary friends (one stays with him even in his adulthood), etc. But he embraces those things more than anything, and his friends don't care, so why should he?
When he isn't helping at a shelter, he finds time for himself or his family. For example, he's very fascinated with nature, and enjoys drawing what he sees around him in a sketchbook. He's pretty good at it too. What started as drawings of birds or gardens soon turned into drawings of burnt landscapes and debris of towns. He liked to draw the people he would meet in shelters as well, and he kept every drawing, not knowing if that person survived after they parted ways or not.
Darryon's story does collide with the others at some point. He and his sister go to great lengths around the country, of course they're going to befriend Lenis, Everest, and Flint at some point, and it will certainly stay that way.
If you read this far, thank you! I really hope this little introduction to them has intrigued you, and if not, that's okay too :) I want to share more about them later on, and I plan to write out chapters to get the full story soon as well. I've been working on this story for more than a year now in private, and I'm really having fun, so I'm excited to share it with you. Thank you again!

i’m placing this post under the cut because it is both HUGE NEO TWEWY SPOILERS and also OVER 1.2K WORDS LONG but here is my neo twewy relationships headcanons infodump. ft. a lot of people but also my promised neku & shiba lore
my promised shiba & neku lore: neku doesn’t like shiba. it isn’t quite hatred but it’s very close; the only reason why it isn’t point-blank hatred is because neku can fully acknowledge and understand that shiba was being manipulated for years. however. living in shinjuku with the direct consequences of shiba’s actions, people who died because of it, makes him less than fond of the man! he is, at the very least, relieved that shiba has acknowledged what he did and is working to fix shinjuku. it can’t undo the hurt, but y’know. (gestures wildly) the whole thing i’m looping around to is that they don’t. talk about it. there’s nothing TO talk about, really. they avoid each other when in the same place for meet-ups, and shiba doesn’t push it. but hishima does keep neku updated on the shinjuku situation, and it’s... good, to hear. that things are being mended. y’know?
rhyme & haz friendship is very... something. i think that joshua gets into contact with rhyme some time after the events of neo twewy, mostly to ask for their assistance in keeping the rns updated with kaie. the whole composer thing comes into play there in a way that it does NOT necessarily with haz! rhyme meets haz through rindo, like they would with any other kinda guy, and haz is very much an angel and very much the former/current/former composer of shinjuku, but mostly rhyme knows him as that guy who doesn’t know what half of the food in shibuya is. mostly, until they see him with joshua, and they can’t be blamed for being curious! really. not like joshua would let them do research, and mr. h is nowhere to be found, but haz seems amicable enough to it. in his own way, of course.
i think they get this thing going where rhyme invites him out to do something (sometimes it’s a food place, sometimes it’s an activity, sometimes it’s something the reapers showed rhyme) and they talk about nothing while talking about A Whole Lot. those kinda layered conversations, y’know? and also. like. haz IS curious about rhyme, is the thing, because he very clearly doesn’t understand what makes humanity and shibuya tick, and especially doesn’t understand what makes rhyme tick when something so... essential was taken from them three years ago! but like. being able to adapt and grow and change around that is human nature. very much another case of “haz makes human friends he doesn’t get but likes to be around anyway” which i like for him a lot. meanwhile rhyme and kaie are texting back and forth about the higher plane and angels and things they probably shouldn’t know but hey! nobody’s snitching.
speaking of kaie. i think kaie and hishima are good friends! meanwhile kaie    has extremely mixed opinions on the man’s husband. i said that kaie and shiba’s relationship is very on the mend, and i think that kaie is much more willing to accept that he wants to mend shinjuku and be happy with that (especially since they can read and analyze his soul, which probably helps in the whole trustworthiness factor. and, of course, their own readings.) but like. they do need to have a Talk, eventually, and i think that comes a couple weeks after everything settles. it’s a part of everything settling, really. shiba do you realize that one of the members of your found family was fully willing to die before following along in your path of destruction  shiba. shiba. there’s a lot of people close to shiba that he hurt and i think he realizes this at the end of the game, yes, but i don’t think he sees the full magnitude of that until he talks to everyone and starts to repair shinjuku. you know how it is.
also hey do you think about how kaie and susukichi were close and then susukichi got erased or are you normal,
i’m just thinking really hard about how kaie was the one susukichi texted to tell that he was making a risky move. and how kaie’s response was “please don’t do anything rash, my friend” and then susukichi was erased. and susukichi was erased and he wanted to protect the wicked twisters if shibuya got erased and. and clearly, susukichi trusted kaie. (they were one of the only reapers left,) and. i'm just thinking about kaie's willingness to go down with shibuya. that conversation with hishima happens right after susukichi is erased. how much of home is even left to move with? how many times is shiba going to sacrifice their family for this, if kaie keeps going? it's... better to stay, if it's inevitable (and in the end it isn't. but susukichi is still gone.)
AND THEN IN THE HISHIMA CONVERSATION TOO! kaie’s little snap at him to “reflect on himself before speaking of others :/” when hishima makes a comment about leaving shiba behind too. they’re absolutely not having it when susukichi was just erased (when susukichi was doing something stupid, when susukichi wanted to stop shiba before shibuya could be erased again,)
gestures wildly. i have thoughts. but continuing on for now,
fret & kariya hang out. i do have relatively strong feelings on fret & kariya’s canonical interactions, which are mostly short but RICH with character specifically from fret; in w1d4, which is arguably my favorite example of it, fret drops the act to call kariya out on his lie, in the MOST snarky voice acting, almost… mocking? but not malicious. just. calling him on it. which kariya proceeds to acknowledge (“(k) looks like you learned your lesson after all” “(f) didn’t realize we’d be tested so soon!”) but this is INTERESTING because of how early on it happens and how innocuous in the moment it seems! however. besides that. i think kariya is one of very few people fret has never really put the act up for.
i think post-game the wicked twisters DO deserve some (relatively) responsible adult figures in their life, and while i love the hachiko gang dearly, they’re very newly adults and neku has been gone for three years. they’re healing and while i DO think they care for the twisters they absolutely cannot fulfill the responsible adult figure role because they’re barely adults themselves. they’re in very similar situations of heavy trauma from the game. sometimes you just need a weird-but-cool reaper uncle (kariya) to bug, and fret kind of takes to hanging out with him like a duck to water
there’s a specific intersection of their interests too where it’s like… “(fret voice) you like food, i like eating, let’s go hang out at a food place together” and “(kariya voice) you like fashion, i like clothes, let’s go check out some clothes places.” also i think kariya isn’t necessarily someone fret comes to for advice often but he is one of the people on the list that fret feels comfortable being honest with, at least. also fret gets to be kind of bitchy when he’s with kariya (and uzuki, too, although i think a little bit of the act goes back up when she joins their little hangouts) and it’s a NICE change of pace. a more genuine expression of self.
(i also do think it’s a funny friendship with fret being mr. minami’s favorite & kariya and sho being exes. like yeah. kariya took the kids in the divorce years later)
I THINK THAT’S IT FOR NOW? YEAH. i have other thoughts but like. none so much as to put into a post like this and also this post is already SO LONG. if you’ve stuck it out until now, a) how and b) thanks for sticking it out i hope u enjoyed!!

Finally, after a long existence into the void of my mind, I finally brought Raven's grandfather (a.k.a Papá) to life...in a drawing
Tumblr media
He was Raven's grandfather when he was still alive. He's her mother's father, and the father-in-law of Raven's original father.
This man was a blessing from the sky. No matter what was thrown to him, no matter how bad people tried to do him wrong, he never got physically hostile, and rarely got himself in fights and arguments.
He wasn't wealthy but he still received a good ammount of money. Alone with his good nature, he used to be very naive. He was married to a woman which turned out to be a ' gold digger ', where she used him just for his money. He noticed his long mistake after Finally opening up his mind and realising that there was never love between them two.
When Raven's mother was growing, she adopted the same behaviour as her mother. Rude, apathetic, gas lighting, and no respect to anyone. Paul eventually divorced his wife, which she proceeded to completely abandon the existence of her own daughter, and he tried to raise his child the best way he could, but the damage was already done.
Even if he was kind, he wasn't stupid (not anymore), he could see the good and bad in the people he knew and met. He tried to keep his daughter away from messing up her own life, and telling her multiple times to be careful at what she does, but she wouldn't listen, leading to her meeting up with a man, doing the deed when she was just 19....and proceed to the existence of Raven.
The neighborhood they lived in was too nosey for him, so he decided to move to a different and more quiet neighborhood in a different village, restarting his life anew while he helped his daughter and future son-in-law to a new life for themselves. He wanted her to finally learn that actions have consequences, and offerd to help take care of his new grandchild when needed.
....as the story might be clear now, due to them becoming early parents cause of their lack of common sense they gave the fault to their new daughter saying that if she didn't exist their life could have been better, cue them feeling forced to take care of a child they carelessly created, not giving her any parental attention or love except when having to give her the vital needs such as nourishment and clothing. The rest, she was treated like a house plant. Give her what she needs, and leave her be.
Now Paul knew what was going on, and he wished he could have taken the whole matter in his hands. Unfortunately, a few years before Raven was born, he was unfortunately made aware of a terminal illness he had, and really couldn't do anything except having a chance to live for a few more years. He wished he would have adopted her, but he knew that once he was gone, she would have went back to her parents, and since no other family members existed, he could only visit them frequently, raise Raven the way he wished his daughter was raised, and be part of her life.
He feared for this little girl to turn for a bad rode, but since he constantly was in her life, she thankfully turned pretty much like him. Kind, generous, appreciative, and a curse to his kindness...Naive.
Raven wouldn't notice that her parents really didn't give a damn of her existence, but he was too glad to see her happy, and let her live in her own innocent and blissful ignorance.
When Raven was 6, his health unfortunately got worse. He had to ask her parents to bring her to his house more frequent, to avoid long travels, and didn't waste a single precious second with his beloved granddaughter. In her eyes, Paul was like a second dad to her, reason why she would call him ' Papá ', and in his, she was the daughter that he regretfully wishes he had.
A few months followed, and his health depleted. Raven somehow managed to go to his house by herself, but he didn't care... he knew his time was coming. It pained him to see Raven confused at why she wasn't gonna spend time with him anymore, still unaware at the concept of death. He gently and patiently explained to her that where he is going now, is not a place she can go to yet. After a few heartfelt " I love you" 's and " I will still look after you ", his soul slipped away from his body, leaving a scared, confused, and heartbroken Raven on his former body.
He watched everything happen, from the day he died, the day of his funeral, the success of her parent's jobs, the news of a new grandchild, the complete neglect of Raven while her baby sister got all the love and attention and the nice things in life, to the day they just left her at an orphanage like a used up object at a Sale shop, and the day Raven was free from her naiveness to realise the dark and sad truth on her life while she sat at a corner at an alleyway.
He wasn't there physically, but spiritually he followed after her every step in life, and he will do so until they get to meet again.
