Penthouse Dreams: Stepping into My White Couch Era

For years, I believed my dreams needed to be practical, grounded, and safe. But lately, I've been unlearning that. I'm embracing the idea that my dreams can be BIG, bold, and downright luxurious—and right now, that dream is living in a penthouse, fully immersed in my white couch era.

This isn't just about a high-rise or fancy decor. It's about reclaiming a piece of myself. For so long, I've lived in roles that didn't always feel like my own. As someone who's been in the caretaker role for most of my life --- eldest Nigerian gehls, stand up if you can relate! But this dream symbolizes freedom, independence, and joy. It's not about the material --- it's about the meaning. It's my space, my dream, on my terms.

Manifesting Freedom: How My Penthouse Would Feel

If I lived in my dream penthouse for a year, it would be pure alignment --- everything flowing because I dared to dream big and surrender to God. It would be a year of freedom, success, and joy.

I'd wake up every morning in awe of the beauty around me. The decorating process alone would be thrilling --- finding pieces that reflect my personality and designing each room with intention. Every corner would remind me that I chose to think bigger, to trust God's plan, & to fully embrace this new chapter.

Mornings with Sunbeams, Nights with City Lights

Mornings:

Picture this - the sun streams through floor-to-window ceiling windows, filling my space with golden light. I'd start the day with gratitude and Bible study, grounding myself in God's word. Then I'd indulge in a slow, intentional skincare routine --- taking my time to feel every step. Breakfast would be a work of art: perfectly plated and savored while jazz or the sounds of the city play softly in the background.

Evenings:

As the city lights twinkle, I'd wind down with 90s R&B or soothing jazz. My nighttime skincare routine would feel sacred --- massaging my face, breathing in the scent of my favorite luxurious candles, and speaking affirmations over my life. With a glass of wine in hand and my dog curled up beside me, I'd sink into my cozy couch, watching TV or journaling. It's the kind of peace you can't buy --- just pure gratitude for how far I've come.

Fighting Doubt in a Designer Robe

Dreaming this big doesn't always feel safe. Sometimes, limiting beliefs creep in: "can i really do this? is this wise? shouldn't i be investing in a house instead of renting?"

But every time they do, I remind myself: God didn't create me to think small. When those fears arise, I lean on HIS promises: "No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."

& when doubt still tries to linger? I walk around my dream space (yes, I talk to my house!) and thank God for allowing me to experience something so beautiful. Gratitude is my greatest defense against fear.
