Watch NRL Live Penrith Panthers vs Brisbane Broncos On 03 March 2023
Penrith Panthers, the champions of the 2022 National Rugby Championship, will begin their 2023 season against the Brisbane Broncos at BlueBet Stadium. In the World Club Challenge Cup, the Penrith Panthers were defeated by the St. Helens team, while the Brisbane Broncos triumphed over the NQ Cowboys team.Watch Live
Tumblr media
Penrith Panthers - favorite to win The incredible work that the Penrith Panthers put in over the previous season resulted in them finishing first on the table in the regular season with 42 points from a possible 24. The home team in the 2022 season scored 636 points, the most points of any club in the league, and allowed 330 points, the fewest points allowed in that season. The Penrith Panthers, on the other hand, went further in the playoffs and won the final game. Before this, they had prevailed against the Parramatta Eels in the 1/8 round, the Canberra Raiders in the quarterfinal stages, and the North Queensland Cowboys in the semis. Prior to the start of this season, the Penrith Panthers had a winning record of four out of their previous five matches.
Brisbane Broncos - will hope for an good start The Brisbane Broncos beat the North Queensland Cowboys in their last preseason game, so they are coming into this game with a bit of momentum. On the other hand, this will be a different matchup for them, with more stringent requirements and demands. The Brisbane Broncos had 28 points at the end of the regular season last year, which put them ninth in the National Rugby League standings. However, they did not make the playoffs. The away team's record in their last five games was one win, one tie, and three losses. This means that they will start the new season with the same record.
Expert Betting Tips After a quick examination, it appears that the team playing at home has the advantage and is best positioned to come out on top. As a result, we are pulling for them to launch the defense of their championship with a performance that is completely dominant. As a result, I am hoping that they will prevail in both halves of the match. In addition, taking into account the players they have available and how well they played during the preseason, I feel that they will be able to cover the spread.
THE TEAM NEWS
PENRITH PANTHERS
Penrith Panthers made it back-to-back Premierships as they defended their crown with a comfortable win over Parramatta Eels in last season's Grand Final with Ivan Cleary’s men harbouring hopes of a three-peat. The Panthers fell short in the World Club Challenge against St. Helens but will be in much better shape for this, although they will have to deal with the loss of Taylan May for the entire campaign after he suffered an ACL injury against the English outfit. Starting 13: Edwards, Turuva, Tago, Crichton, To’o, Luai, Cleary, Leota, Kenny, Fisher-Harris, Garner, Martin, Yeo – Interchanges: Luke, Sorensen, Leniu, Salmon – Reserves: Hosking, Eisenhuth, Peachey, Cogger, Smith
Unavailable: Taylan May (Injured)
BRISBANE BRONCOS
Brisbane Broncos somehow missed out on a spot in the finals in 2022 as they lost five of their final six games to finish the regular season in what was a hugely disappointing end to what had been a promising campaign. The Broncos will view a top eight spot as the bare minimum this season but they have been forced into a re-jig for this opening contest with new signing Reece Walsh out with a facial fracture so Selwyn Cobbo will slot in at fullback. Starting 13: Cobbo, Oates, Staggs, Farnworth, Arthars, Mam, Reynolds, Jensen, Walters, Haas, Capewell, Riki, Carrigan – Interchanges: Paix, Palasia, Flagler, Taupau – Reserves: Mariner, Piakura, Willison, Madden, Hoeter
Unavailable: Kobe Hetherington (Injured), Reece Walsh (Injured)

Teams: Manly's axing after show-stopping game
Tumblr media
The NRL's form player of the year, Tom Trbojevic, is set to make his return for the Sea Eagles after missing round 23 with a facial injury.Last week, Trbojevic was ruled out as a precaution amid conflicting reports the superstar fullback had damaged a pre-existing facial fracture.
Tumblr media
Tom Trbojevic (Getty)While serious injury concerns were put to bed, the Sea Eagles took no chance, resting their talisman who is set to make an emphatic return against the Bulldogs this week.Meanwhile, star teammate Moses Suli has been dropped from Des Hasler's squad despite putting up a stellar man of the match performance last week. Suli has been dropped to reserves, replaced by Brad Parker who slots straight into the centres.

(Getty)Elsewhere, it's tough luck for the Tigers who have the unfortunate task of taking on the Panthers without standout star Adam Doueihi who has been sidelined with a knee injury. To make matters harder for Michael Maguire's men, star winger Brian To'o has made an early return from injury and will line up on Sunday evening.Meanwhile, the Raiders have dumped halfback Sam Williams after back-to-back critical losses to the Storm and Manly.

((Live Sport<<<)) Panthers vs Rabbitohs live 09.03.2023
After a round one upset by the Brisbane Broncos, the Penrith Panthers will be determined to get their first win of the season as they host the South Sydney Rabbitohs in a rematch of last year's preliminary final.
Watch Live Here>>>
Ivan Cleary and his side will be disappointed with how their opening match of the season turned out. They started well, scoring the opening try of the match but they had to wait another 69 minutes before adding more points onto the scoreboard. The absence of former hooker Apisai Koroisau was notable as Mitch Kenny failed to deliver any attacking prowess out of dummy-half, which was expected (more of a defensive hooker), however, when Soni Luke came from the bench, the Panthers started to look a better attacking side. His presence was felt immediately with a dangerous dart out of dummy-half in the first few minutes of his time on the field. It will take some time for Ivan Cleary to work out the right rotation for Kenny and Luke and they've probably come out of Friday nights match noting that Luke will need to come into the game earlier than he did against the Broncos.
On the brightside, their defence was excellent as we've come to expect, completing 90.6 per cent of their tackles for the match. The Broncos managed to score two tries in quick succession early in the first half but the opportunities were scarce after that. The Panthers defence will be a key for them restricting the potent Rabbitohs' attack on Thursday night. Penrith's back five will be crucial in getting them out of their own end and into good yardage positions which they did excellently on Friday night with the back five combing for 914 run metres. So, two crucial parts of their game were sound in the opening fixture, it's just the attacking cohesion that needs discovering, once they do that, they'll be back to their old ways. You can expect them to be fired up for this outing as they one, want to put their first win on the board and two, want to keep the wood over the Rabbitohs' after eliminating them in each of the last three finals series. After their loss last weekend, the Panthers have been required to make one change with the omission of Scott Sorenson to concussion who is replaced by Matt Eisenhuth.
Contrary to Penrith, the Rabbitohs' started the season with a comprehensive win in their opening fixture in Cronulla. It was tied heading into the break, but the Rabbitohs came out firing in the second half, winning that term of football 15 points to six. They were cohesive and dangerous in attack, breaking 52 tackles and were able to move the ball down the field with relative ease. Halfback Lachlan Ilias was excellent for the Rabbitohs as he opened the scoring for the home side, assisted one later on and saved a certain try for good measure. The 22-year-old looked extremely confident, and he's got a big test ahead of him this Thursday against the reigning premiers. Ilias' link up play with Walker will be key for the Rabbitohs as they're going to have to create some Penrith defensive errors if they're to put some scoreboard pressure on the Panthers.
Hopefully Souths' will have their full 17 players available for the entire match, unlike Saturday night where the played the final 60 minutes with 15 players after losing Tevita Tatola and Jai Arrow to injury in the first half. Losing two players that early against a Penrith side might make the going tough but let's hope that this isn't the case on Thursday night. Despite the lack of bench players, The Rabbitohs' defence was excellent for most of the game, making 91.4 per cent of their tackles, something that they'll need to replicate again this weekend if they're to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
The aforementioned injuries to Tatola and Arrow have ruled them out this week with Daniel Suluka Fifta starting at prop and Jed Cartwright joining the pine.
Last meeting: Finals Week 3 2022 - Panthers 32 Rabbitohs 12
Who to watch: This game has plenty of players to keep an eye out for as many of them have the ability to influence the result of this game. It's hard not to mention Nathan Cleary who will be extremely sour after their performance in round one and will be determined to deliver a win in front of their home crowd this Thursday. Cleary missed Koroisau's presence last week and Brisbane's defence did a good job at containing his ball playing, however, the halfback still threatened with his ball running and he'll be expecting to influence the game more than he did last week. One of his dummy-halves, Soni Luke is one to watch this week as he was explosive in his 26-minute stint against the Broncos, scoring a try, running for 65 metres, breaking the line once and making 13 tackles. His sleight of hand out of dummy-half will be key this weekend if they're to perturb Souths' middle defence.
Lachlan Ilias is another to keep an eye on this weekend, it'll be interesting to see whether he can back up his round one performance as the halfback seems destined to have a breakout year but it's fullback Latrell Mitchell who'll draw the most attention from Penrith's defence. Mitchell carried the ball for 127 metres on the weekend, assisted a try and broke four tackles as he kicked off 2023 with a bang. One player who benefited from the ball-playing of Mitchell on the weekend was Campbell Graham who fresh off a winning World Cup campaign, grabbed a double to kick of his season. The 23-year-old centre was damaging with his three line breaks, 198 metres (60 of those after contact), five tackle breaks and 19 tackles. If Souths' can give Mitchell and Graham time and space on that right edge, it could cause some headaches for Penrith's opposing edge.
The favourite: Despite their loss in round one, the Panthers are still the slight favourites. It took a great performance from the Broncos to get the two points and given the track record between these two sides, the Rabbitohs will need to do the same to secure the win. Panthers losing two in a row at home? It could happen, but they'll be incredibly determined to make sure it doesn't come to fruition.
My tip: This should be a cracking match, with the Panthers being brought down a peg, the two teams are incredibly even. I think Penrith are going to sneak home here but that depends on a better attacking performance than last week. The Bunnies will throw everything at the defending premiers and they want revenge from their last outing. It should be a cracker. Penrith by 1.

NFL Week 2 Picks: Will Cowboys vs. Broncos turn into defensive struggle? | Broncos Vs Panthers
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Broncos are now 2.5-point home underdogs versus the Cowboys, who opened as 1.5-point road favorites. As the game threatened to get away from them it took an inspirational charge from Broncos skipper Patrick Carrigan to earn his side their second try of the night, pushing past a host of Panthers to slam the ball down with 25 minutes left to play. It was a close affair but the Roosters narrowly won through last week, leaving the Broncos to host a semi-final in the Brisbane. We take a look at Friday nights NRL Finals match between the Brisbane Broncos and the Penrith Panthers.
Bryce Cartwright's two tries for Penrith against Manly caught the eye ahead of their semi-final with the Broncos. The Chargers are hoping to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2013, while the Broncos are trying to make it back to the postseason for the first time since they won the Super Bowl over the Panthers. With the mastermind Wayne Bennett pulling the strings it appeared the Queenslanders were under instructions to slow down the Panthers at all costs.Friday's NRL Finals 2017 match is between Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers with the game to be played at the Suncorp Stadium. The Storm will host the Broncos in the first of the NRL Preliminary Finals on Friday night.
Philip Rivers vs Dolphins- On the road against the "No Fly Zone" defense of the Broncos this past Monday night, Rivers threw three TDs, one interception, and had a 67 percent completion rate. The Panthers defense looked good against the 49ers, holding them to three points and making life difficult for the offense. However, this season there are expectations that Newton regains his footing as one of the top stars in the league. With the mastermind Wayne Bennett pulling the strings it appeared the Queenslanders were under instructions to slow down the Panthers at all costs.
