What are your ideas for the B&B unit what details would you want to edit/add [besides the obvious oversexualization n such]

Starting with gameplay: 

(I know you said besides the sexualization but I'm cheating and telling you exactly what I'd replace the sexualization with.)

I'd like to swap the fanservice/sexualization second half of the boss fights with more characterization. They came close to this but they really missed the mark. 

After each of the unit members come out of their suits, their breakdowns can stay essentially the same but instead of them suddenly switching to this weird seductive demeanour I think they should remain in their upset state. 

I believe it's Drebin who states that the unit has been ordered to kill Snake and believes that doing so will "cleanse" them (heal their trauma in a way I guess?) so I can see them still trying desperately to get at snake even when they've come out of their suits.

I imagine they would do this differently though depending on the character so I can explain the individual ideas I have for this. 

(And none of that hugging Snake to death shit they want him dead dead fr)

I believe Laughing Octopus' dialogue saying "I won't laugh anymore, I can't, I don't want to." Is definitely said with a lot more panic than how it's said in-game. She would try to get to Snake by very quickly walking maybe a bit slumped over as I imagine the way she'd be feeling would be similar to an intense anxiety attack where standing up straight or running is difficult. 

The strategy would be to stay on the move so she can't reach you. 

And if she DOES get to Snake I can see her jumping on him and trying to maybe suffocate or choke him causing a button spamming QTE to get her off of you. 

Raging Raven's dialogue about "let your anger flow" is completely cut out of this. She's not saying this to Snake she is definitely preoccupied with other thoughts.  And during the segment of her trying to get to snake I can see her yelling things similar to her flashbacks during the pre-cutscene ("the birds are picking at my flesh") and such. Her statement of "I'm not angry, I'm scared" makes me think she'd be a bit less into killing Snake to cleanse her mind and more stuck in a state where she thinks shes back where her trauma started and Snake is just mixed up in this. 

She is definitely running and lunging at Snake but in a bit of a less calculated manner. Short burst attacks that do a lot of damage if they hit so the dive roll thing is the best strategy for this I think. 

If she makes contact with Snake she would do a lot of damage on impact but also continuous damage with what I can best describe as scratching and pulling at his face so I think this should require a multiple button CQC QTE to get away from. 

Crying Wolf's breakdown cutscene is probably so similar to the canon one I can't think of any immediate changes. 

I think she would be more slow in reaching Snake. kind of a staggered walk to him but as she gets closer she speeds up.

This seems easy to avoid but I'd like to add the extra challenge of the wolf dogs in the area attacking Snake as well. That way the game requires you to keep Crying Wolf away while the wolf dogs are attacking because if Crying Wolf gets to Snake she grabs onto him keeping him from moving or doing any attacking while the wolves do damage. 

The QTE I imagine takes a while to do and is probably a button spam thing like with Octopus, and every time you shake Crying Wolf off the wolf dogs get more aggressive.

For Screaming Mantis I imagine she walks at Snake similar to in canon but a lot of reaching and trying to grab at him which briefly slows you down if her hands make contact with Snake, giving her an opportunity to get closer. 

I also think her screaming should blur your screen vision or maybe distort it in some way making it harder to navigate. And I think she should be harder to hit and she should dodge bullets more than the others (I don't really imagine the others dodging bullets a lot in this but I imagine they take a lot less damage).

Her reaching Snake would cause this longer QTE where you have to block her hits which would kill snake if the QTE was failed (her screaming also distorting the message saying what buttons to press) and even if this is done perfectly she still ends up getting on top of snake and ultimately trying to rip his head off. Stopping this would require several QTE's in a row and highly decreases the stamina(?) bar. 

Also, none of that weird white void with the sex noises nonsense it makes no sense. 

I wanted to add some variety to this section of the fights because they seem like nothing but fan service and are extremely easy to beat. I think they deserve to have more to the fights than that.

Also I imagine in canon they don't die like how in mgs3 you get the option to kill Raikov but in canon he doesn't die.

And none of the curling up in a ball as they die stuff they stay in the position they fell down in.

Now onto design: 

The game builds these characters up as being these beautiful ladies under the suits. 

And they are, but I think it's a bit disappointing that these characters are all the same height and body type. If they wanna have these beautiful lady characters they could have shown a bunch of different body types since being beautiful isn't reserved for people who are just skinny with big boobs

I drew this a while ago but here's a bit of an example:

I imagine Wolf is taller than snake (maybe 6'1 or 6'2) and Mantis is about his height maybe a bit shorter, Octopus is around the same height she is in-game and Raven is considerably shorter. 

(I also imagine Mantis to overall be a bit wider than in this drawing but it's old so)

I drew Wolf Raven and Octopus the other day as a little doodle which gives a slightly better example:

I stuck to their in-game designs in this pretty closely other than their body types but I did have this idea for Mantis' face the other day:

And I also like to imagine that Octopus has freckles and Wolf has very irritated skin on her face from the crying. 

(Btw I like to sometimes imagine Wolf's hair in microtwists I think that would look cool)

I was imagining they're doing something like going camping together ((w/ player character too of course)) on a school holiday, or during the break Nemona invited Arven and Penny to come stay at her house (they are NOT prepared for her estate) so that they can all still get up to shenanigans together since the player character will also be right next door

It's just so fun and silly to think about

Cringetober Day 30: Supernatural/Monster Um, Halloween costumes?

Let's go in height order

Vinnie- at first I was gonna go with something more generic (vampire, zombie, that type of thing) but then I went on tumblr dot com and saw my mutuals (you know who you are) talking about Vinnie and Scout and was like "i'm not coming up with anything better than this". I think Vinnie would like playing tf2 so its in character. Yeah 100%

Russell- I posted earlier that Russell would either be a tryhard or not try at all at halloween. I decided to go with the latter because I, too, am lazy. In my head, he got all dressed up w/ hair and makeup in a really detailed book accurate version of one of his favorite fictional characters but he got too embarrassed to leave the house like that so he made this 'costume' in like 5 minutes. His friends would have loved his old costume but his brain got the better of him :( there's always next year.

Minka- She loves halloween but time always passes her by before she can get a costume! On the night of the Littlest Pet Shop Employee Halloween Party (tm), she grabbed one of the sheets Russell put down on her apartment's floor and cut some holes into it, and tada! instant sheet ghost. She didn't take it off to drink her punch and got it all over her :(

Pepper- Ok, i'm gonna be honest, I stole this idea from a meme.

Zoe- Cleopatra. I tried to make her costume more accurate than like a spirit halloween (american halloween costume retailer) cleopatra but it's definitely not authentic at all. If i was doing this for something that wasn't a month long challenge I would put more research into it (really like historical fashion but i have like no time for anything). I would've chosen a different costume but my hilarious ceasar joke :(

Sunil- he is a bee. Bees are scary if you are allergic to them, but I think he looks quite cute :3

And Finally, Penny- I feel like she was the type of kid to go as a princess every year and I don't think she would stop as an adult. Also she's wearing extensions in her hair.
