"Some people do, actually" Lance went on, because he really happened to do just that. Hanging around creepy old buildings. A lot. Most definitely longer than he had to. Just to get all the right angles, all the right ideas. Checking his camera for any potential damage from her forehead.

"You know this place?" he asks then, shooting another look at the abandoned mall. "Owner's a bit tight lipped about it. But the stories and legends seem to be making their rounds here anyway. Hear anything about that?"

Straight into interview mode, always ready to get new info. All for the story. All for the show.

"I scared YOU!?"

Sometimes patrol went beyond cemeteries. In bars, clubs, and old abandoned buildings. This one in particular was especially creepy. What was it before? A library? A gym? A really small mall? Either way, she hated it. She wasn't going in. She was pretty sure she was halfway around when she collided with someone. She held her forehead in pain after she yelled at the guy. "No, I just love hanging around creepy old buildings longer than I have to," she answered him.

TLDR: I AM WHINY AND IM GOING TO MOVE BLOGS TO A SMALLER ONE WHERE NOBODY KNOWS ME. EITHER @kikuneesama FOR GENERAL STUFF OR @konohamaru-sensei FOR ANIME STUFF.

Did you know that in 2020 when the pandemic held us all in a chokehold I decided to reread One Piece and Bleach, but consciously decided not to touch Naruto, as if I knew that I'd be sucked in real bad if I read it again? I was right. In 2021, I randomly thought "No, I will read it now" and then I did and boom I talked about nothing else for that summer and to channel my thoughts I made this blog right here separate from my main and not as a sideblog. I wanted to start completely over at a different place.

I had a terrible summer in 2021, constant mental breakdown. I don't want to bore you with the details because you don't care, but just being back doing the stuff I loved when I was 16 was such a blessing. I was truly happy in the first months here, especially with the discord servers and the oc talk and the friends I made. My boyfriend commented on it all the time, that I looked so very happy. And I was! But these things never stay.

The problem with me is, I want community, I want to talk headcanons and to bitch about characters I don't like and promote ships I love and cry and laugh and hug all of you for liking the same things as me and at the same time I'm terrified of rejection, of people hating me, of people spreading lies behind my back. I guess school does traumatise you in some way.

I can't survive in a cutthroat fandom like this one, I take things too personally too quickly. I don't understand that if you, a normal person with your own wishes, likes a thing I don't like or dislike a thing I like it doesn't mean you automatically hate me. You are just a different person and that is ok! It's not you. It's me. NO I'm not just saying that. It really is me.

Did you know that when I started out here I didn't tag my stuff? Especially not my OC stuff (and I still rarely tag it). The fear that someone might find it, hate on it, send me hate, make fun of it etc, sits so deep that I rather have my work not be seen at all. Yet, I need the attention to keep going because without the reblogs and likes and asks I feel like an utter failure.

My boyfriend says I am not good with the public eye on me and he is probably right. I envy those of you who can stand their ground and be self confident in their arguments. I envy those who don't care what others say, who can block and move on, who don't get a knot in their stomach when someone they had nice interactions with unfollows. I shouldn't care, but I do.

On my first tumblr blog I never looked at my followers, I never got asks either or was deep in fandom or anything, but I reblogged my stuff and posted my thoughts and was feeling good. I love tumblr, its the best social media out there for a reason. Yet, with this one, I got so self conscious about my followers, about what I can and can't say. If my presence would offend or not etc etc.

I was kinda looking forward to 1000 Followers because it is an insane number, but now at 997 I'm throwing in the towel. Isn't that like giving up before the finish line? Maybe, but I'm so tired and I want to be unknown again. I want to be nobody again. I want the naruto fandom to move on and forget I was ever here.

So I'm leaving! Sorry, I guess! At least for a good while. I might be back to finish the requests still pending on this account and then disappear again, but I don't know if I'll ever permanently come back. If you by any chance really, really really care about my presence, you can find me under @kikuneesama as a general spam blog with all sorts of things and under @konohamaru-sensei for anime-only stuff. This is also where my Naruto posting will be moving.

THEE Guide to Not Being a Punk Poser

Hey, so if you're reading this, you may or may not be looking to get into the punk scene, and you also may or may not be at a total loss on where to start

Well fear not! I am here with this little introduction post on how to Not Be A Poser (title pending)

FIRST UP: The Ideals

When it comes to the ideals of alternative subcultures, this graphic by @theygender (hope the tag is ok, lmk if it isn't) is the best summary I've ever seen

And if you're like me, you're solidly on the line between punk and grunge, but leaning just a bit more punk. This is fine /gen

Punk is about community. Punk is about fighting for a better future. Punk is about doing no harm and taking no shit. Punk is about looking out for the underdog. If you don't embody these values then you're not punk. The ideology of Punk is, in my opinion, the most important part of the subculture

But if you've been doing your research you already knew that. Now let's get into what a lot of people call the fun stuff: the music and the fashion

SECOND: The Music

There are a Lot of different subgenres of punk music, the most famous being punk rock and folk punk. I subscribe more to punk rock because I really enjoy fast music

Bands to look for include: Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Pansy Division, Dog Park Dissidents, Cheap Perfume, Mommy Long Legs, Gang Green, The Germs, Rage Against the Machine, G.L.O.S.S., X-Ray Spex, The Cramps, Circle Jerks, Crass, Limp Wrist, and Pure Hell

Of course there's a lot more but those are some staples plus some of my personal favorites. You can find my personal punk playlist here

Overall the sound is Loud and it is Angry. There are many songs about killing cops and hating capitalism and it fucks. If you like funky basslines, sick ass drums, angry yelling, and shredding guitars this music is for you

PART THREE: The Fashion

Okay, okay, I had to save the quote unquote best for last. Imo the fashion of punk is the most diy out of almost any other subculture

Literally anything you can get your hands on can become fashion. Steal what you can, pick up shit off the side of the road, and if you can't/don't know how to do something get a friend in the scene to either teach you or commission them or something

Brands? The fuck is that, the only brands you need to know are Rit fabric dye, goodwill, etsy (sometimes), your local craft store, and a good spike maker (I don't deal with spikes currently so I have no good resources for them, so other punks feel free to chime in!)

Want cool metal shit? Take apart cans and turn them into spikes. Take a lighter apart and use those metal bits. Steal safety pins from walmart.

Want/need to sew something? Yarn and a tapestry needle if you can't get/don't want to use dental floss. When sewing patches do a straight stitch around followed by a hobo stitch around again and that shit will stay forever. Alternatively pin patches on with safety pins, this works pretty well in a pinch

Fabric paint is your best friend!!! Start with a white base layer and the colors will be much more vibrant. Don't think you have painting skills? Doesn't matter, you're punk and you have the audacity to wear whatever you make with pride

Invest in a leather jacket. I don't mean in terms of money, I got mine at goodwill for ten bucks. But it will change your life. I recommend getting two: one to keep plain and one to diy. Also flannels are good for diy and can also be made into vests for warm weather very easily.

Both of these flannels I decorated myself in a matter of hours. If I can do it, so can you

Also! When you cut the sleeves off of a flannel you can use the extra fabric to make diy pockets :3

PART FOUR: Community and Conclusion

I'm not sure what kind of discord communities exist for true punk culture, so if anyone has one they wanna promote feel free

Do some research on local punk bands in your area, get your friends together and diy outfits for a concert, or just to wear. The world is your punk oyster, and as long as you or other people aren't getting hurt you can do whatever you want forever

Quick FAQs

Is this a main blog? This is a side blog, my main is @amelias-hart. To keep this blog mostly to fic updates and as a reference tool, I reblog LoZ stuff on my main, to include art and fics.

Can I draw fanart of your characters? Yes, absolutely. I should clarify. You are more than welcome to draw art based on the descriptions in my fics and the resources I put out for them. I work with other artists though for most of my character art. If you are going to use those designs, make sure you're familiar with their opinions on fanart.

What kinds of LoZ fics to you write? All of my fics are fully original legend and long form stories. My average chapter length is 3k and the shortest of my fics (not in a series) is currently drafting to be like 100 chapters.

How adult/mature are they? It ranges, but typically it's pretty tame. I don't really handle gore and explicit scenes, and I'm not a fan of dark fantasy generally as a writer. If fics are rated adult/mature, it's typically because the characters are largely adults.

Is there romance? We're on that Zelink train, absolutely! There are no explicit scenes, again, so the range here is fluff (GoS, RA) to some more mature flirting with some innuendo being about the most serious content (DAD). Maybe a more intense kissing scene once the slow burn gets through to that (MoaH).

How do you write so much? Autism baby. Got that clinical hyperfocus going.

Do I need to read your fics in a certain order? No, all of them are stand alone but they do share a linked timeline in the following: GoS -> MoaH -> RA -> CoL -> DAD (And honestly it's really just GoS and MoaH with any "serious" timeline lore connections)

What's the Convergence? To the previous point, it's referring to GoS any time it comes up. Really only a thing in MoaH and MoaH does try to explain it within the text.

So many. I used to RP through forums and mailing lists back in the day. I also RP through regular old phone text and Discord. I've roleplayed through passing notes with doodles on them, and of course live and in person as well! I've even LARPed once!

How scared we all are of being the first to reach out and talk to each other. 😂 Not to sound like the old fogey that I am, but back in my day (ie when I first started RPing here) reaching out to other RPers was the only way to get interaction. Follow someone, send them asks about their threads (in or out of character), send them memes and prompts from stuff they post. Or hell, join an RP group. That's actually how I got my start. But that often required an audition where you sent in proof of your writing capabilities and handle on the character you wanted to RP as.

Hello there and welcome back to my bullshit, otherwise known as Miraculous AUs I'll never write but still want to talk abt! First post on the topic but lmk if you want more?

Anyways, here is the Miraculous Adventurer AU, better title pending! Seeing as I'm busy with literally dozens of WIPs and can't write a second longform fic, I figured I'd share to see if someone wants to pic it up! Listen, I rambled about this once on Discord and it hasn't left my head since, I really need to talk abt it!

So! Marinette Dupain Cheng is a baker's daughter in a small border town of the kingdom, in a little corner of land ruled over by Lord Bourgeois, who spoils his eccentric and brattish daughter Chloe with gifts and allows her to bully the townsfolk without much resistance to Chloe's whims. Marinette's dream is of course, to become a seamstress for the royal family. So eventually, she leaves home to make the journey to the capital, away from Chloe's relentless bullying and to a new adventure. She only takes a few meager belongings and her father's old sword, but still manages to make it a few towns over before running out of funds.

Needing a quick way to earn money that won't tie her down to this small village she's ended up in, Marinette decides to try her luck at the adventurer's guild nearby, knowing...well, to somewhat smack someome with a sword. As she enters the Guild, she crosses paths with another Adventurer, someone who looks to be a professional. The man wears dark leather armor adorned with metal studs on the guantlets, carrying what looks to be a well-worn metal staff on his back. Relunctantly, she approaches the man to see what he wants.

Of course, the totaly-a-pro and definately-not-also-a-first-timer intorduces himself suavely as Chat Noir, professional adventurer and hero extrordinaire! Clearly, he knows his stuff. Chat offers to help Marinette around, mostly offering joking flirts along the way as a receptionist shows up to run Mari through the process of getting a Guild Membership Card, and her first quest.

Obviously, Marinette turns Chat down Ladybug-style and insists she can handle herself, but he still tries (and fails) to sneakily follow her. But when they end up getting in trouble during Mari's first job...they realize they make a better team than either of them imagined. And if Chat so happens to let it slip that he's also an amatuer and looking for a partner as he heads to the Royal Capital...maybe letting him tag along wouldn't be so bad after all.

TL;DR: Marinette picks up adventuring as she travels the county, Chat Noir is a mysterious and suave rogue that's decided to team up with her (he's a bit more like Movie!Chat on their first mission, but after that develops a *small* crush on her like in Origins), and the two become the adventuring team known as Ladybug and Chat Noir...all because Marinette didn't want to reveal her name and a ladybug happened to land on her hand when a random girl they rescue on the job (Alya) asks her. This is beginning of a legendary story full of adventure, danger, obnoxious puns, and hopefully, maybe, someday, Marinette's fashion degree!

Welcome to our blog!

We are the Candlelight System, a system shaped by but not entirely made through intentional tulpamancy skills. We have been an established system for over a year now and have an interest in teaching others about tulpamancy, sharing projects of ours both related and unrelated to tulpamancy and plurality, and having a place to discuss some of the fun happenings in our life.

Some fun facts about ourselves in no real order:

Bodily adult

Current system size is 17 members including the original. This may expand in the future but we believe not by much.

Origin of the system isn't particularly important to us but we believe ourselves to be endogenic for the time being and as previously stated tulpamantic/parogenic for the most part. Due to an unusual entrance to plurality with our first non original member though and the fact that there is traumatic stuff in our past we leave room open for change to a CDD status pending further investigation. Most of us would still choose to identify as tulpas either way though.

No disorderly system mechanics to our understanding. We have complete control of switching and perfect communication between members. We also do not gain new members without actively choosing to accept a potential member (what the tulpamancy community refers to as walk-ins) or creating them via tulpamancy practices. We do have memory problems and past trauma, but do not view it as related to our system or most of it's mechanics. Are open to changing this if future data suggests differently.

Bodily male but most of the system identifies as female. Do not care about pronouns and will be fine with whatever ones are used unless specified otherwise. While not fans of neopronouns ourselves we respect others who are and will attempt to use preferred pronouns, please forgive us if we are not perfect in this regard.

Some of our hobbies include psychology, philosophy, hypnosis, reading, writing, mythology, spirituality, paranormal topics, astronomy, nature, gardening, stage magic, weapons, martial arts, drawing, cooking, and more.

Now that we have discussed a little about ourselves let's get some things straight about this blog and how to interact with it. None of these requests are ironclad and there is plenty of exceptions for each, but that will be decided on a case by case basis.

We do not have a DNI list as we find them limiting and a great way to make echochambers, that being said we reserve the right to block, ignore, and remove anyone who actively gets on our nerves or we find to be unwanted here.

We are not a syscourse blog. We may occasionally reblog or comment on a syscourse topic with appropriate tags for people to ignore if desired, but we are not syscourse focused nor do we want to be. Do not bring syscourse to our blog directly unless it somehow relates directly to us and or we give the ok first in asks.

No fakeclaiming or attempting to bend us to whatever you think we should be. Do not come here without previous context or permission and try to convince us we must be traumagenic, that is for us to investigate the possibility of and it would be done with a trained professional, not tumblr of all things. This rule goes for endos aswell if we ever identify as traumagenic in the future.

We are currently studying to become a psychologist, but we are still very much learning and fallible, do your own research on any topic we discuss and come to your own conclusions using evidence and logic, not more tumblr blogs.

We'd like to stay out of mundane politics on this blog, unless we give permission first, which we have the right to revoke, don't bring it here.

Do not call us willogenic/willomates, ever. We'll accept thoughtform but do not prefer it.

PREFERRED ROLEPLAY TYPE: the best roleplay connections are those that are cross-genre. a lot of different tropes and moods for the same characters, to make up a vibrant story. a thread here, another there, no need to write them chronologically at all! i do have some favourite tropes (hurt/comfort, villain/victim, kink...) but even those work the best when included in a multigenre arc. so basically anything goes!

PET PEEVES & DEALBREAKERS:

any kind of making fun of and/or harrassing, bullying, making callouts, or trying to dictate other people's fictional enjoyment. i don't care if the subject matter is something i'm personally disgusted by; if you call people gross, freaks, weird, for the fiction they enjoy, if you reblog callouts that focus on fiction, i will unfollow/block you. boundaries are fine, a polite "dni if you write (topic)" is fine. but if you even push your pinky toe over the line towards making it anything more than a personal boundary, i do not tolerate that, and i do not feel safe around you.

not letting me know which muses you are interested in. the amount of people who follow me, but never do my interest tracker or initiate interaction (i'm ok with the tracker not being done if you send in stuff or just plain tell me in a message which muses you want to write with), despite this being in my rules, is frustrating. i can't read your mind. i can't just assume all of my muses are free game, unless you tell me that. i give people several months to do this before unfollowing, but eventually i will unfollow, as there is... no interaction. i will happily interact first, send memes, etc. if i just know what muses you are open to.

assuming i'm not interested/am upset with you if i don't respond to ooc messages fast enough. it's fine if it's a dealbreaker for you if someone is responding slowly, but you don't get to say i "wasn't interested". you don't know that unless i say that plainly. i rarely talk in real time. i take hours, days, weeks, even months to reply to people ooc. fuck, one of my best friends and i sometimes don't say a word to each other for over a year, and we still are best friends. i do try to not take literally months to reply to people's ooc messages, because it's not very productive in the sense of keeping plotting going, but taking days or a couple of weeks is just normal, imho, especially if it's not every message several weeks apart all the time.

PLOTS OR MEMES: a little bit of both! i prefer to plot a little at least, but whether that's before writing, or after sending some memes and writing a few responses, is all the same for me! i'm very flexible about this, though, so totally winging it, or plotting in detail, are both fine for me as well.

LONG REPLIES OR SHORT REPLIES: i'm fine with all lengths of replies, but medium, generally? i also think we should normalise reply length varying. if the muses are having rapid-fire dialogue, it makes no sense to write several paragraphs just to make the reply longer, when you need to give the other muse a chance to respond, anyway. and when there's a time-skip and descriptions of what happens in between, it makes no sense to try to jam it all in one little paragraph, a lot of the time. so whatever suits the reply? but also, 2-4 paragraphs as a general guide is my preference. single-para can feel too restricting, and over four paragraphs, especially if they're all chunky ones, makes it harder for executive dysfunction. don't worry about either of these, though! i think the best really is to just write what feels good for the reply, be that shorter or longer.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: legit this just varies, there is no specific time, although i do try to keep a regular sleep schedule (with varying results lol).

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES: no. i may have some similarities to some, but i am not extremely like any of them. i am actually jimmy price from hannibal. only half joking-

PROGRESS TRACKER: KRIS'S POKEGEAR JOURNAL CATCH LOG: ENCOUNTERS

RULES & IMPORTANT STUFF

First and foremost, this is NOT a typical RP blog. For the time being, this blog will serve as a first-person journal for Kris's trainer journey through the Kanjoh region. Afterwards, she will be more open to typical postgame/timeskipped RP. Journal entries will be tagged with (GEAR JOURNAL.)

HOWEVER, timeline-wise, she will be venturing out around the same time as other Johto protags--so this blog will still be open to relevant gameverse asks and shorter conversations during the initial journey, if relevant. Feel free to drop into her inbox!

This Nuzlocke will be run using POKEMON CRYSTAL LEGACY, an enhanced ROM of Pokemon Crystal. [If you want to try it for yourself, check out this video! Major props to the creator!!]

CORE NUZLOCKE RULES

This run will use Crystal Legacy's Hard Mode. Leveling will be capped at the next strongest Gym Leader, and set mode will be used. (Items also cannot be used during battles, which is subject to change at my discretion.)

Once Pokeballs are able to be obtained, only one catchable encounter is allowed per area. (Static encounters--such as Sudowoodo and some legendaries--are excluded.)

There is no immediate permadeath in this run (see below.) The rules of the Nuzlocke may be bent, but only to make a better story. I have the final say.

All that said, Kris may not make it through the entire game, and that's okay. Not everyone can take on the League challenge and win!

NUZLOCKE BUFFS/DEBUFFS (KRIS TRAITS)

++ Extremely well-studied - Kris is a top student and has knowledge of type matchup charts, Gym Leader Pokemon, and general battle strategy.

++ Resilient - If any of Kris's Pokemon fall in battle, they will make death saving throws following the fight. On success, they will live and one failure will automatically be counted towards any subsequent death saves by that Pokemon. Instead of granting one full revival from death, any Revive items will instead grant guaranteed death save success if a Pokemon should need it. (Revives are rare and cannot be bought in this run.)

[NOTE: Pokemon cannot be killed during League matches--battles in Gyms, the Elite Four, etc.--and will faint instead. These battles are probably highly monitored and regulated.]

++ Box Techie - Kris is a big Bill enthusiast and knows her way around a PC as a result. Any Pokemon caught over the party limit are put in storage and can be swapped out with active party members at any time, level cap pending.

+/- Overprepared - Kris can use items during battle. However, when entering a location with a Mart, she must spend all of her available money, if able.

+/- Curious - Kris will explore as much area as possible, and attempt to talk with every character possible, even rival trainers or enemies.

-- Fear of Growlithe and Houndour - Kris will automatically attempt to run from any wild Pokemon battle involving the above Pokemon, until that fear is overcome somehow.

my primary special interest is project sekai so you'll see a lot about that here. my favs are Rui, Ena & Shizuku, my favorite units are N25 & W×S, and I am a massive shizuruikasa & mizuena shipper (there are plenty others I like though) but some other non-media ones are etymology, alt fashion, & drugs (yes you are reading that right, no i am not abusing substances i just like to research them), I have others but I can't think of them rn.

because of my bpd I have semi-frequent self-isolation episodes where I often softblock my mutuals. I am prone to dissociation which means I also don't always remember this.
