I saw a post recently where the author showed that when they ask AI to draw autistic people, they always get sad, white, young males. This was on my mind watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

The two kdramas I've seen with autistic characters, EAW and It's Okay To Not Be Okay, there were hard parts and struggles for sure, but they also showed people with autism experiencing joy, having imagination, expressing their appreciation for other people in their lives... just a full range of the human experience. I can't think of anywhere else where I have seen that. The best way I could describe most depictions of autism would be "robot who occasionally freaks out and says embarrassing things."

Also, ALSO, no freaking magical love plot! Woo cannot suddenly hold hands because she's got the hots for a guy. This is why I rage quit The Good Doctor (American version) because of the stupid love magic!

Anyway, both of these shows did such a good job showing the humanity of people with neurological differences and I loved them both. Go Kdramas!
