I was brought up on a diet of incredible science fiction and science fact. I watched in great excitement as Apollo II took off and later on I watched the courageous astronauts walk on the moon. I honestly believed that by now we would have real robots and rocket cars would fill the sky. I watched Star Trek and Dr Who and believed in the things they aspired to, a future of love and equality whoever you were.
