PEGGY CARTER GCSE HEADCANONS!!

!! FOR ANY NON-BRITS/PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT GCSES ARE, I'VE LINKED A WIKI ARTICLE HERE !!

!! also i know that different schools have different systems for GCSEs, but im just gonna go with what mine did :) !!

SO.

We all know Peggy had to do Maths, both of the Englishes and triple Science, but i feel like she wouldve LOVED English Lit the most. She would've definitely been one of those kids who were like best mates with their English teacher fruity behaviour?. She was also definitely one of the student librarians for her school's library.

For language, I am a firm believer that Peggy did German and Latin. She probably would've picked German because Michael did (the classic familial language gcse sitch), but i also feel like she would've really liked classics in year 7 and 8 (grades 6 and 7 i think) and decided to stick with it for GCSE. I also think she didn't like French at ALL.

"Why in gods name do I have to memorise the gender of a chair?? Who decided that bloody rubbish??"

(shes so real though ngl, genders are the bane of my existence)

Like language, Peggy was probably a double humanities student. She probably did History and Geography, and her favourite topics in each would've been the Tudors for history (she would avidly defend Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard in lessons) and the human side for Geography!! She probably looked at NY as a case study for overpopulation and rapid-rate industrialisation and rolled her eyes, muttering about what sort of madman would willingly stay in a city like that.

Lastly, her practical subject. This was a tie for me between PE and Product Design, but I realised I know nothing about GCSE PE (core pe girlies unite), so I'll go with PD for now.

Peggy definitely put her heart and soul into her NEA (non-examination assessment, basically coursework) for Product Design. By the first week, she probably had like a billion sketches done up and had started looking at materials. I feel like her mother didn't like Peggy doing a "man's subject", until Peggy built her a birdhouse that looks like their house and all was forgiven. She definitely met all her NEA deadlines on time, too. Like, she was an academic WEAPON. Even her teacher was scared of her when she was using the saws and that.

In terms of overall results, she was definitely one of those people who got all 9's (grade A**), and would probably've cried if she got an 8 (I would be too scared to tell her my results ong 😔)

In terms of A-Levels, I'd have to think about that one ngl, so if this post does well, I might do an pt2!!

You know what I love about this scene?

Peggy and Steve BOTH look at Bucky like “sooo, can we have some privacy??”

And this little shit looks over his shoulder to see what they’re looking at, turns back, and proceeds to do everything in his power to prevent their flirting while staying professional. He knows he’s not supposed to be there, but this -frankly amazing- woman is this close to winning over his boy and like hell will James Buchanan Barnes take it lying down.

His audacity just kills me and I love it.

Edit/addition:

This is a sad scene to me too. Because Bucky is just standing there, right after being tortured by Zola, and watching the person he loves most in the world fall in love with someone else. You can see it on his face. He’s in pain, but the only thing he can do is stand there, because you can’t look away from a train wreck (in his world). Steve and Peggy are clearly already falling, but at least Bucky can slow it down by making the situation less romantic.

He can’t do anything else, but he can stand there, so he does. It will break his heart, but it’s the only thing he can do.

Sharon Carter Double Legacy Headcanon

Her dad is Michael's son (Michael lived, de-brainwashed, had a kid, etc. it's marvel it's okay)

...and her mum is Jack's daughter

I just think it would be really funny for Jack to realise his daughter is becoming a Carter (imagine I said that like a bad word)

Jack, after many rants about ^said issue: who'd have thought, Marge? We're family now

Peggy, drinking: don't remind me

He definitely haunts Steve/Bucky/Sam when he finds out they left Sharon to fend for herself after she did all those things to help them in cacw

Sharon didn't tell anyone at SHIELD that she's a double legacy because, duh. when you're walking through the doors of SHIELD bearing the Carter name people are already lookinga at you different. No need to draw more attention.

Also: of course if anyone was going to become the Power Broker, it would be a half Carter half Thompson

Being Peggy Carter's Naive and Gentle Younger Brother Would Include...

Request: I saw in your fandom list that you write for agent carter!!! Could you maybe write some headcannoms for what being her younger brother (or sibling you prefer!) who knows about her life and everything, but is a very soft and gentle person - though a bit naive at times with trusting nature?

She is insanely protective over you, like she tries to avoid telling you too much because she doesn't want you to get kidnapped for information and when you do eventually draw it out, she's obsessed with your safety.

And she'll be suspicious of everyone you talk to, even if they're a normal everyday person she doesn't want you to get hurt. You know she's just trying to look out for you but it can get annoying and overbearing sometimes

She is a really good sister though, she will banter with you back and forth and the two of you will throw insults as well

Often times people will overlook her because she's a woman, which sometimes works to her advantage, but if she needs a man to do something for her she won't hesitate to call you up. She has used you for more missions than you can count. You know that you're safe the whole time though; she'd never let anything happen to you

You and Jarvis get along so well. He seriously loves that you're so normal and sweet compared to your sister, the opposite of her pretty much in every way. He will literally just hang out with you at random times

You have to dress a lot of her wounds, you know the ones that Jarvis doesn't get to first. Because of this you've grown accustomed to storing first aid supplies

Worrying about her constantly. Not because she's a woman, you know she's fully capable but because you'd hate to see anything happen to your amazing badass older sister

She will protect you from anything and anyone. You'll never have a toxic ex because she wouldn't allow anyone who hurts you to live that long

Lots of late night worrying but also lots of late nights spent reminiscing and laughing with her over memories; from your childhood and from her adventures. There's never a dull moment between the two of you

She buys you food to make up for it. Plenty of baked goods especially, whatever your favourite is she'll get you whatever you want

Often times, she stands up for you when you can't bring yourself to say things. She always knows the right thing to say and she often leaves the people who are bothering you tongue tied

We all know that Tony can't cook, but what if he can only cook Italian food. Like somehow Maria taught him how to cook her food really well. It's to the point that he can't stand any other Italian food that an't his own.

Rhody and Pepper know all about it, but the Avengers only learn when Steve tries to make some and Tony takes over the kitchen since Tony see him do it all wrong. The best team dinners when Tony cooks.

The same thing happens with British deserts thanks to Ana, Jarvis, and Peggy.

Today we bring you The Faces of Cedar Street! We have finally brought this headcanon of ours to life with finalized casting for the neighborhood!

Nova, what is Cedar Street? It's the neighborhood Artemis and I built together for Steve and Peggy to live out the lives they deserve!

Shadow of a Shield- Rewrite Poll V2

Less wordy. Feel free to reblog and/or vote on the original poll as well.

Bottom line, I've made more OCs since the original creating of SoaS. Plan is to either make the rewrite one big fic OR like TNEI and make several fics happening in the same timeline revolving around each of the OCs (listed below the poll).

Benefits of either: (Option 1) big fic all together / (Option 2) separate fics but opportunities for more Avengers PoVs

(Tbh, I'm personally leaning toward the second option, but I might be able to do both if need be. It's a different balance, at the very least.)

Now these are my OCs for the story (in order of creation, not age):

Jamie Carter-Rogers - omega; daughter of Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers; kept in captivity similar to how Bucky had been; autistic and adhder; love interest is another OC named Ana/Anastasia (Latina-american)

Willam Wallace - alpha; supposed son (trans) of Bucky Barnes and Natasha Romanoff (unsure because Mariya Ivanov often lies); dyslexic and adhder; tentative love interests are either Peter Parker/Harley Keener (together) or an OC; has a twin, Mare

Becca Barnes - omega (late bloomer); daughter of Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers; autistic with OCD tendencies; love interest is her fiance who is also an OC

*Mare ? - omega; twin sister of Will; selective mutism; seperated from the others, so she isn't with them during the 5-year Blip; eventual planned QPR with MJ

(All of them have C-PTSD, that's just a given)

I wanna talk about SHIELD Agent Hope Van Dyne

...who joined to honor her mother (the same reason she took Janet’s name), even though her father begged her not to and to work at Pym Tech instead.

...who bonded with Sharon over the weight of legacies and all the whispers behind their backs from those who doubted that their places were rightfully earned. 

...who attended the SHIELD Academy alongside Maria, becoming fast friends (and soon, more than friends) and remaining each other’s favorite sparring partner long after. 

...who took a long time to trust Natasha (both because of Nat’s past and her own generally standoffish nature), but with time, they became a formidable team on the field and off were known for their dry verbal sparring.

...whose faith in SHIELD was shaken upon meeting Ava Starr and worked in secret to help her, only for their plans to be cut off by what turned out to be Hope’s final mission.

Steggy Week 2k23, day 1 Prompt: headcanons and meta

Summary: They mark the day with their own particular observance.

It is not something celebrated with that mild fanfare the way that birthdays and holidays are in their house, nor like their wedding anniversary either — no gifts or dinner out or being allowed to pick the details of activity or company or entertainment for the day.

But it is also not like those other milestones of their past, the ones that crop up even though so much of the war had blurred together or taken place in ways that make memorializing specific events impossible. Still, every so often one of them might realize that this was the date Steve started boot camp and therefore the one on which they saw each other for the first time; that it has been so many years or decades since that day in a SSR lab in Brooklyn; that although they are here in the midst of an ordinary winter now, the two of them once stood on a frigid Russian battlefield on this same day so long ago and saw one another for the first time in months and knew each other to be alive. It is not even like those more easily noted commemorations, Memorial Day or Veterans Day, which are memorialized for them with more solemnity than for many of their neighbors, especially as the decades wear on and war becomes a more remote thing for so many, nor even like the more personal times of remembrance: the day that Bucky fell, and the days, as time wears on, of their friends’ passings, or the day that Steve's plane went down.

Yet it also does fade for them entirely either, blurring into normalcy among the notes on the calendar about appointments with the dentist or the elementary school's spring orchestra concert, conferences in Brussels and a spate of classmates' birthday parties.

Instead, it becomes something contained and particularly theirs. Wherever they might be on the day, whether in their own living room or a rental house on vacation or the tarmac waiting for a SHIELD plane to bring them back from some world-saving venture or the middle of a national park because they somehow foolishly agreed to chaperone the latest Scouts trip or the Stork Club just before it closes for the final time, they will find a few moments and turn to each other, clasp hands and turn in slow, swaying circles. Sometimes they will have music — they keep a turntable on hand at home even as it begins to eventually feature a cassette or CD player alongside, preferring their old 45s of Etta James or Ella Fitzgerald or Harry James — and sometimes they will only have the quiet or the crickets or the wind around them. Pressed together and without speaking, they will think of the time apart and the time together, all that they have gotten to do in the years since, the life they have built and the ways that things might have been different and the parts that they wouldn't change.

"I'm glad you came back," Peggy will say softly after a while.

"I'm glad I could," Steve will say. "I'm glad that you were here for me to come back to."

And, absorbing the feeling of the two of them together, relishing it all the more for the familiarity that they have earned, they will dance as they commemorate another year of return.

How do you think Steve and/or Peggy would deal with some possible pigeon messengers during the war? For Steve, I imagine he runs hotter than normal people so the pigeons LOVE chilling with him! A couple pigeons catching some z’s on his shoulders one evening, and the howlies won’t let him live it down

I can honestly say I have never thought about this before now, but I am on board with the idea that homing pigeons love Steve, adding to his overall Disney Princess aura. 😂

I think it would be very funny if this is also how we discover that Peggy Carter has one (1) irrational, instinctual fear, and it is birds. She tolerates pigeons, out of necessity, but finds them deeply unsettling.

In Googling to learn more about homing pigeons in WWII, I have learned that 32 pigeons were decorated for gallantry under fire. I'm very excited to introduce this fact into a totally unrelated conversation soon.

Headcannon: As Peggy grows older, Steve physical looks the same as always (comic book version of Steve does not age). Steve still finds Peggy to be the most beautiful woman and proceeds to tell her everyday.

Peggy for years when she joined the military and moved up the ranks, the soldiers would happily approach her and ask her if she is the entertainment.

she her got offened at that, she would just laugh and say "no, im not" eventually she would beat them to it and finish the thought before they had a chance to speak.

(I read a review when Captain America:First Avenger came out that said she looked like a pinup doll and I thought thats an awesome , Hayley is so pretty so DUH she looks great!)
