Hiii! I really liked your yandere hunger games ideas and was wondering if I could request it in the 75th game? Also, do you mind only doing platonic relationships (maybe the reader is a bit younger than Katniss + Peeta)?

I am happy you enjoy them! And of course you can! Also, as a small little note, I have only seen the movies. I have not read the books so keep that in mind. Also, I only did Katniss and Peeta for right now but I will get to the others once I can!

Katniss and Peeta would be great platonic yanderes. We already see what they do for the people they love in the original series. Katniss sacrificing herself for her sister, Prim.

So, let's say you were the winner of the 73th games from one of the outlier districts. You won the game at 15 years of age. This by the time of the quarter quell would make you a year younger then both Katniss and Peeta.

When your name was reaped for a second time in your life it was heartbreaking. It would show Katniss and Peeta just another one of the injustices of the Capital. Especially when all the other tributes were full grown adults pretty much.

They would meet you just before the Tribute Parade. Immediately they knew who you were. Your games were one of the more vicious ones. Yet you didn't kill anyone, surviving on your ability to hide till you outlasted everyone else. Much like the Morphlings did.

As the parade ended. They couldn't help but keep you in mind as one of the candidates for their alliance. Even though logically you couldn't do much against the careers.

As they started to train they would befriend you. They slowly(as slowly as four days till their upcoming deaths could go) let you into their hearts.

They would look upon you as a younger sibling. Already making a deal between the two that when the time came you would survive.

When it came time for the start of the game. One of them would make sure to get to your podium to make sure no one tried to kill you first. It likely would be Peeta.

For the rest of the games they wouldn't let you out of their sight. Always making sure you get water and food 1st.

When Katniss shot the arrow to destroy the arena, and the rebels rescued her and Beetee. They left you behind. Unaware of what a mistake that was.

"The Plagues" - a 76th Hunger Games concept

This idea lives 24/7 in my mind and it's not even paying me rent, so I have to let it out and share it with someone. I love the Hunger Games saga, I can't wait for the next book, but now I absolutely want to talk about a 76th edition concept.

So, we need to send a message with this edition and Capitol City has to pay for what they did, maybe not everyone, but for sure rich, wealthy and powerful families that could do at least something to stop the games surely have to. And we need to punish them once for all for their 75 years lasting dictatorship; nothing's better than representing this with God's Wrath.

Remember what happened in the Bible when the Egyptian pharaoh didn't want to let Moses and Jews go away? God sent the ten plagues. This sounds familiar, it's similar to Panem's situation, isn't it?

So, in this edition, the tributes are reaped amongst those families' firstborns (keep that info for later, we'll need that).

Our arena will be an ancient Egypt inspired city, the weapons they can have are mainly kopeshes and whips, but there are also venomous snakes and the desert is very cold at night so this alone is dangerous.

We'll base our arena events on the ten plagues and you know, they're already deadly and this situation would be very hard to face but Capitol City always wanted a show from the Hunger Games, and we'll give them one.

I mean, sending random people in an arena, dressed up as some ancient Egyptian folk? I don't know, kinda boring to watch, and... they were all from the high class, they're friends and maybe they could refuse to fight each other, the plagues are dangerous but, as I said, we want a show.

We can subject the tributes to mental control (MK ultra or stuff like that) so we can convince them they're not Capitol citizens but they think they're a pharaoh, his wife, the visir, a merchant, a slave, a priest of some god, so in the arena they'll think they are actual Egyptian people. This is how you put on a show.

We have the arena, we have the tributes and we also know what arena events there will be, but... let's try to imagine what could happen for a moment.

The first day would be calm until water stars changing into blood, this would lead to a general confusion and maybe the tributes would ask the priest what's happening and he wouldn't know, the next days frogs, mosquitos and flies would invade the arena and after this the tributes would most likely start a riot against the pharaoh and his wife, once the rebellion is sedated animals they used for food die, and the tributes (TRIGGER WARNING) are forced to rely on cannibalism, but anyone who ate another tribute will start to have burns on thier body that eventually infect and ice and fire start raining, once the rain is over a swarm of grasshoppers attacks the tribute, after the attack the night lasts a whole day and in this moment the effects of the mind control start to fade, tributes are now confused, some remember who they are, some are still "in character" and some are simply getting ABSOLUTELY CRAZY.

And when chaos spreads we have the last plague: death of the firstborns.

... does this make me a horrible person? I'M 100% SURE IT DOES.

But I really wanted to post it and if I wasn't the queen of procrastination I'd probably write a fanfic on it.

I love Peeta! He always understood what the Capitol would be capable of doing. He rebelled in his own way.

I don't think we give Peeta enough credit for how delusion he was before and during the Quarter Quell. The girl he loves was personally visited by their country's dictator, threatened, and clearly the whole concept of the victors in the Quarter Quell was a response to her popularity with the rebellion. Snow was going to make sure Katniss was killed, if not by one of the twenty-two other victors, then by the arena. But Peeta if-it-weren't-for-the-baby Mellark said, "If we get gains and play up a fake pregnancy, then Katniss will walk out of that arena a two-time victor and live out her days with her family and become a mother." Like I know Peeta is symbolic of hope but that was just so far from being remotely possible from what he knew about it all.

And yet also....it comes true???

~The Many Legs of Peeta Mellark, or A Weirdly In-Depth Look at Panem Prosthetics~

Concept art for Peeta’s leg because I can (details below the cut)

Catching Fire: though the leg itself is removable, the cover is non-optional and the access panels can only be used by Capitol technicians. Due to how ornate it is it can get a bit heavy after long periods of wear, and there’s limited movement in the ankle which impedes walking. It’s designed to mimic the shape of the original leg so it fills out clothes nicely, but flashy enough to be worthy of a Victor should anyone see it. A very pretty prosthetic, but only slightly better than a peg leg. Mockingjay: this is what the prosthetic looks like without the fancy cover. It’s very no-nonsense with an advanced ankle component that has better range of motion without the casing, and features a rubber tread on the bottom of the foot blade to allow for better traction when chasing down and murdering his one true love. Although a vast improvement mobility-wise, it’s been permanently bolted to his leg and the control panels are all welded shut. Everything about this is short-term - they don’t care what happens to him once he’s killed Katniss.

Post War: when he’s caught in the explosion/fire from the bombs that got Prim his leg melts and fuses to his stump, so the doctors end up having to amputate even more. He’s given the choice to try out an experimental implant, which he accepts. This is vastly different from the other ones because he’s got so much autonomy - he can change the settings himself, remove the foot shell, opt in for a leg casing if he wants (he doesn’t). All in all it’s a very low maintenance leg, which suits him just fine, and because it’s an implant it finally feels like a part of him again.
