Modern day silvergifting is really very much like ‘young genius professor gets into abusive relationship with University Vice Chancellor’ with the understanding that Celebrimbor is the young genius professor.
(Like he thinks he’s okay :/. He’s an adult isn’t he? He wanted this, if he could just get it right, it would be okay)
(The other one I think of is ‘CEO and Celebrimbor is a brilliant young expert in his field’)
And then it turns out he was also creeping on his cousin and foster nephew.
#tv: rings of power#sauron is in this situation the older boyfriend#anyway i have never written tolkien fic and suddenly but um ACTORS#i just felt like i should share this with tumblr#abuse cw#(galadriel and elrond fyi)#(i know galadriel is his aunt (roughly) but I went with cousin for easiness reasons)#(elrond in this case is the barely eighteen year old pre med student who wants to study pediatritics)

my hospice assignment is truly a test from some higher power cause for an entire year i have to show up there for two hours every week and listen to this caregiver conversationally say the most insane off the wall shit and not open my mouth to respond
#last week it was her claiming diddy did all that because hes 'homosexual' and repressed#to which i had to finally reply and say. hey. do you think maybe he raped and abused women and children because he enjoys raping and abusin#women and children. and not because hes gay. and she was like. wow. okay i havent thought about it like that#mind you. shes homophobic as fuck but she figured out im gay just by my vibes alone like 6 months in#and then this week she was talking about how pediatritions requiring children to be vaccinated is a conspiracy#bonus on the brief moment when we touched on having kids and i said i probably wont have biological kids and she was like#oh you wont have sex with a man to have kids? to which i had to be like. no. no i wont. and she was like so you'll adopt?#and i was like..uh probably#and she goes. how does your mom feel about that#which mind you my mom is also a recovering homophobe but even shes never said anything about me having kids#and i was like. i dont think she cares. she doesnt care about my brothers who are already married having kids either-#and she CUTS ME OFF. AND GOES. OH THATS DIFFERENT#like just because im my moms only kid with a womb that somehow makes me having biological kids more important??? psychotic????#like. theres being weird about having grandchildren. and then theres whatever THIS is

Dilf? Chishiya x reader (Hospital AU) [gn!reader] part 2
TW: mentions of broken bones
/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\/ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\
Chishiya wasn't an idiot. Ofcourse he'd notice the head peeking from around the corner.
He raised his eyebrow at the little girl. Her excited smile confused him. But he took note of the cast on her arm.
"Do you need anything?"
She shook her head, that bright smile remaining. He never was fond of kids. Not even a six year old could melt his cold exterior.
"Will you play with me?"
He frowned at that. He was one of the hospital's top surgeons and doctors, not a babysitter. "Who's your RN? Maybe they'll play with you"
"No!" the sudden stubbornness of the girl caught him off guard.
"Well I'm not playing with you. I have better things to do" he spoke coldly.
She sniffled before full out bursting into tears.
The man was stunned.
Crap.
"Shh,hey hey stop that"
He tried to soothe her but her sobs didn't stop until.. "I'll play with you. Please don't cry"
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
You've known Chishiya for a while. If you had to describe him with one word it'd be apathetic.
So it surprised you to see the man in the pediatrition unit during his break time, playing tea party with one of your patients.
"More tea?"
"Uh sure" he muttered,in a slightly grumpy mood. Chishiya never expected that a kid could persuade him into something so ridiculous but somehow she did.
You cleared your throat, making your presence known. "Well this is just-"
"Don't" he grumbled with a stern look whilst 'drinking' the imaginary tea the kindergardener poured for him.

I just had a vivid memory come back to me of going to the pediatrition as a child for a check-up and having them do the reflex test thing they do where they use the small rubber mallet to tap your knees.
I had seen this test on tv before of course and it looked really cool how just a little tap on the knee in the right place could make your whole leg jump up like that. So i watched the doctor tap my knee, one, two times and my leg just twitched out a bit and i could see the doctor looking at me funny, so the third time i faked it and lifted up my leg how it looked on tv when he tapped my knee.
He said something along the lines of "there it goes haha" and i was just supremely disappointed.
Im looking back on this now and i dont think i had or have anything wrong with my reflexes but i'm sure i faked this test. Are neurotypicals faking it too, or the extremeity of how it works at least? Have any other autistic people experienced this?

Understanding Pediatric Ear Infections: Symptoms, Treatment, and Prevention | Dr. Prashant Gandhi.
Understanding Pediatric Ear Infections: Symptoms, Treatment, and Prevention
Pediatric ear infections are a common concern for parents, often leading them to search for a trusted pediatrician or child specialist near them. Dr. Prashant Gandhi, a renowned pediatrician in Borivali West, sheds light on this prevalent childhood ailment and offers valuable insights into its management.
What Are Pediatric Ear Infections?
Pediatric ear infections, also known as otitis media, occur when the middle ear becomes inflamed due to bacterial or viral infections. Children are more prone to ear infections due to their developing immune systems and smaller Eustachian tubes, which are more susceptible to blockages.
Symptoms of Pediatric Ear Infections
Recognizing the symptoms of pediatric ear infections is crucial for timely intervention. Common signs include:
Ear pain or discomfort Tugging or pulling at the ear Difficulty sleeping Fever Fluid drainage from the ear Irritability or fussiness Treatment Options
When it comes to treating pediatric ear infections, Dr. Prashant Gandhi emphasizes the importance of consulting a qualified pediatrician or child specialist near you. Treatment may include:
Antibiotics: If the infection is bacterial, antibiotics may be prescribed to clear the infection. Pain Relief: Over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen can help alleviate discomfort. Ear Drops: Prescription ear drops may be recommended to reduce inflammation and pain. Observation: In some cases, particularly with mild infections, a "wait-and-see" approach may be advised to monitor the child's condition before initiating treatment. Prevention Tips
Preventing pediatric ear infections involves a combination of proactive measures and timely interventions. Here are some tips to reduce the risk:
Vaccination: Ensure your child is up-to-date on vaccinations, including those for influenza, pneumococcal disease, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). Avoiding Secondhand Smoke: Exposure to secondhand smoke can increase the risk of ear infections. Keep your child away from smokers and maintain a smoke-free environment. Practice Good Hygiene: Encourage frequent handwashing to prevent the spread of germs that can cause infections. Limit Pacifier Use: Excessive pacifier use can increase the risk of ear infections. Limit pacifier time, especially during nap time and bedtime. Breastfeeding: If possible, breastfeed your infant. Breast milk contains antibodies that can help boost your child's immune system and reduce the risk of infections. Finding the Best Pediatrician or Child Specialist Near You
For parents in Borivali West and surrounding areas, Dr. Prashant Gandhi is a trusted pediatrician known for his expertise in pediatric care. With a focus on compassionate, evidence-based practice, Dr. Gandhi is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for children of all ages.

#Repost @terpenesandtestingmagazine with @use.repost ・・・ “Cannabis and children” is a combination of words that is considered a hard no, and for good reason. The brain is believed to develop until the age of 25, which is why cannabis use, especially in large quantities over extended periods of time, can have lifelong domino effects on the underdeveloped adolescent brain. However, medical cannabis can, at least in theory, provide benefits and relief for various pediatric diseases, rooted and/or accompanied by inflammation, pain, vomiting, a loss of appetite, and more. Moreover, and actually most importantly, pediatric cannabis use doesn’t have to actually involve full-on, intoxicating cannabis, or in other words, THC. While studies on pediatric use of non-intoxicating cannabinoids is scarce for obvious reasons. On the one hand, there’s not much reason to believe they’d be of any real, long-lasting harm, given their benevolent nature. This is particularly true when you compare them with prescription drugs that are being prescribed left and right to children, like Adderall, for example. Keep reading to find out more! Homoeopathic Pediatrics Child care and health is a beautiful branch in Homoropathy where we understand HOW to treat infants and children with Homoeopathy. Children require a totally different method of treatment and approach while keeping the essence and laws of Homoeopathy in mind . Changing weather can cause irritation to your childs nasal and respiratory mucosa and they can land up with rhinitis , sinusitis , cough and cold . If they persist they can grow into other diseases. As a Homoeopath I always guide my patients with a tendency to cough and cold to connect with me during weather change so that I can make a preventive or a strengthner for them . If your child is having any symptom feel free to connect with me on 91 96500 47734 Embrace Homoeopathy for a healthier life . #homoeopathy #homoeopathicpediatrics #pediatrition #bestreikihealeringurgaon #asthma #allergy #homoeopathicpills #safeandeffective #draditibhatnagar #doctor #doctorslife #prevention #cough #cold #immunitybuilding #patients #Homoeopathycures #sweetpills #children #kids (at Sapphire Mall) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM1D5kbD98m/?igshid=1iawdwi1uj9m7

Will goes on to study medicine and specialises in pediatric care and Nico goes on to study law at New Rome University and they eventually become that Doctor/Lawer power couple
#solangelo#Nico di Angelo#Will Solace#Nico studying Law makes sense to me due to the line in Blood of Olympus#'The Underworld had no mercy. It only had justice.'#And Will becoming a pediatrition also makes a lot of sense to me#A doctor that specialises in the treatment and care of children#he's the head medic at camp and therefor has treated children his whole time he was there

Tony: we just waited an hour to see a pediatrition who ALSO happens to be my HUSBAND and the minute he let us into the examination room our four year old son Peter pointed at my husbands watch and said “this is a clock” which is the most passive aggressive thing I’ve ever seen and I’m so proud of him

Youre obviously eating too many carbs [list of random carb sources that I never said I ate]. Also you need protein so you need to eat beans--" "Im allergic to beans you just read that off my chart." "Oh. Well dont drink milk you need almond milk--" "Im allergic to that too." "Ok. Well. See you next time."

"If Nico approves, I'm not going to say no," Jason says. "He couldn't stop talking about your mom when you guys got back. I think she made quite an impression on him." Will smiles. "Yeah, she's the best." Jason nods. "I'm glad. Nico needs some motherly love in his life. I know he really misses his mom." Will nods. This past week had been hard with Bianca's first anniversary and Nico recovering from his injuries. The two had made for some bad days, but Nico was on the road to healing.
-
"That's a yes," Jason says. "And we can figure out where she goes. I don't think Piper will let you sleep on the couch." Will pouts. Nico would still need to have a quiet space in case he got a headache, but Will knows his mom wouldn't mind any last minute changes if necessary. "Nico suggested an air mattress. Which might work if we moved some furniture around." The apartment was pretty big, but it probably wasn't meant to hold five adults and a child.
-/-/-
“We’ll figure it out. It’d be great to have your mom here, and I’m sure Carter would love it too,” Jason said. Will smiled, looking down at Carter in his lap. The toddler was playing with his fish, making some babbling sounds to himself. For not the first time, he was reminded of how lucky he was to have such a great kid in his life and be able to be a part of Carter’s life. Things could’ve gone so differently if Nico had decided to take Carter to another pediatrition or decided he didn’t like Will.

Debunking Autism Myths
Note: I am only basing this off my own experience with my diagnosis. Everyone experiences autism/aspergers differently, as it is a spectrum, not a disability with a singular list of symptoms.
So I have noticed over the past year or so that people don't quite understand what ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is.
By definition; Autism is a developmental disorder that ranges in severity based on social patterns and ability on understanding social cues.
In simple words; you develop differently from others, having a lack of social interaction skills (that can range.) Each person diagnosed has a seperate list of symptoms.
List of symptoms:
Avoids eye contact
Introverted or avoids interacting with other
Only interacts with others to achieve a certain goal
Has flat facial expressions
Unable to understand personal space boundaries
Avoids physical contact
Isn't comforted by others
Has trouble understanding others emotions
Delayed speech and language skills
Vastly ahead in language and speech skills
Repeats phrases/words
Reverse pronouns (mistakes "you" for "i")
Gives unrelated answers to questions
Unable to understand pointing
Overly uses hand gestures
Avoids using hand gestures
Talks in a monotone voice
Doesn't understand play pretend as a child
Doesn't understand jokes, sarcasm
Lines up toys as a child
Plays with toys the exact same way as a child
Overly organised
Gets upset at minor changes
Has obsessive interests
Has to follow certain routines
Flops body/limbs as a child
Hyperactivity
Hypoactivity
Impulsivity
Short attention span
Agression
Self harm
Depression
Anxiety
Hallucinations whilst stressed
Temper tantrums
Unusual sleeping and eating habits
Unusual reactions to certain emotions (laughing whilst sad, angry while depressed)
Lack of fear, irrational fear
Hate of certain sensations
As you can see, there is a rather large list. I have less than half of these symptoms and I am midway on the Autism spectrum.
How do I get diagnosed ?
Getting diagnosed is rather hard but only really takes two main steps.
Developmental screening: It is a short test to tell if children are learning basic life skills at the correct checkpoints. This means, how they learn, speak, behave and move.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation:
If you are older than 24 months (as i would expect you to be using this site) then you would take a CDE. It is a thorough evaluation that includes looking at developmental behaviour. This includes (in australia) hearing and vision screening, genetic testing (to see of other family members are diagnosed), neurological testing and other behavioural testing.
A general practitioner wil lhave to refer you to a specialist to do the screening. People who are qualified to do so are:
Developmental Pediatritions
Neurologists
Psychiatrists
Psychologists
Statistics:
1/59 children are diagnosed with ASD
ASD can occurs in ethnic and socialeconomic groups
ASD is four times more common in males compared to females
Parents who have 1 child diagnosed woth Autism are 18% more likely to have a second child with Autism compared to families without a child with Autism
Children who are born prematurely are more likely to have Autism
Autism is NOT caused by any vaccines
If you have any further questions about autism, feel free to ask me ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

Have been thinking about writing a blog about my childhood, losing both my parents, going into care homes and becoming a young mum, thought maybe my story of ups and downs and may joe roller coasters may help someone else, from someone who is in care feeling alone to someone whose just found out they’re pregnant..
I would love to know if anyone would be interesting in reading...
Chuck me a message and let me know!
Here’s a little sneak peak, It’s going to be called
Young Together Forever.
Still have to edit add and remove but here’s a start lol
Part 1. I Fell pregnant with my little boy when I was 15 years old, in year 11 at Lowanna College. I remember the day so clearly when I found out I was pregnant. I had been sent to the paediatrician, my quantum worker Joan had picked me up and taken me to go back on adhd medication because I found it hard to concentrate and didn’t listen in school 😅 it was my best friends birthday 25th Feb 2009, I remember laying down on the bed in the doctors room and having a body examine as they did every time I had gone, I still don’t know why they had to do a body examine but that’s when the dr asked if I was sexually active and I laughed like pfft na man (it was one time I’m not active I was thinking in my head) he was pushing on my stomach looking me in the eyes so intensely, I can still see his eyes looking at me and now know they are eyes of concern, eyes of disbelief of this girl not knowing, I didn’t know I was pregnant, I had no clue, I was always a bigger girl, I didn’t get fatter, I remember doing a pregnancy test with a friend Bianca in the school toilets and it came up negative, i remember doing it because I knew I had sex but didn’t know if he had ejaculated in me or not, I had gotten periods and never seen a change in my body, I hadn’t got sick.. I guess I was blessed with a sick pregnancy because I had no bloody clue, and mind you I didn’t even know what a blow job was when I fell pregnant hahaha. The paediatrician finished pushing on my belly and stepped out of the room for abit and my worker Joan leant down and asked me if I’m sure I’m not pregnant and I remember my whole body getting hot and embarrassed like no way, then the pediatrition came back in with another lady who was a maternal health nurse, she had a blonde bob big glasses with a big overbite. I don’t remember her name but I remember seeing a weird little machine in her hand and some other things. She asked me if it was okay to press on my tummy and I said yes not knowing what’s going on freaking out full of anxiety like why are they all touching me what is wrong I’m not pregnant I had sex once. Then she said those words, you’re pregnant.. I find it hard to explain the explosion of emotions I felt within my body at that second, I instantly felt fucking terrified and that feeling didn’t go away for along time. The lady then grabbed that weird little machine she walked in with and put this weird gel on it and pressed it on my stomach, then this loud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud my baby’s heart beat, so loud and so fast, I just started balling my eyes out and freaking out, Joan with her beautiful words helped to calm me down and telling me everything’s going to be okay, they all were comforting me whilst the lady began to say to me how far she thinks I am and around when she thinks I’ll be due and she said around the 27th of May. 3 months. 3 months away from having a baby. That was one of the most terrifying overwhelming days of my life.
