#peach farm

been thinking about dying my hair forest green and cutting off everyone close to me

... and becoming a fugitive from the FBI, CIA and agencies you've never even heard of before for roughly 4 years. That's until I decide to finally settle in a small town in the south of Italy and/or the northern countryside of England.

I'll lead a simple life, one of great peach tree keeping and/or cow milking (envisaging both scenarios of living quarters obviously).

I would find myself a naive but smart young student and become a mentor to them, educating them of my fiendish ways, teaching them how to fight both in martial arts and colourful but respectful debates.

They'll then grow to become a government leader that will change the country, neigh, the world forever.

And then I'll settle down in my sweet British sheep surrounded cottage and/or charming Italian peach farm (I'm still unsure on which one to pick as of yet). I'll sit on my porch/deck and stroke my deeply scarred but sweet cat, for whom I managed to create a special serum that makes it live for 45 years more than average... at the least. We grow old together and sip our cups of tea and/or coffee (I'm a very indecisive person) and that will be the tale of Sir Astral, the most world wide famous man known to have braved the depths of Tumblr and Pinterest.

Last evening my son's roommate stopped by to tell me he had ridden by the late peach tree and the peaches are starting to blush. This was helpful news because if I don't get them off the damned tree at the earliest possible second, they will either be eaten by wildlife or start rotting. Yes, they rot before they fully ripen. The only way to prevent that seems to be spraying fungicide on them every two weeks all summer long, starting when they're blooming. Wild.

This evening I packed the dogs in the truck and bumped my way painfully up there (the cell tower road is badly in need of some filling and grading). The peach tree had yet another branch broken, probably by a bear. The peaches were hard, but some were starting to blush red at the top. They were also all split, probably due to the rain after Hurricane Debbie hitting when the trees were really, really dry. I picked a bucket full. They MAY ripen on my table, covered in newspaper. They may not. Fruit production is WAY harder than just planting a tree and letting it grow. Give your Farmer's Market folks some love, next week!
