Today is #InternationalDayofPeace and many of us cocktail people are participating by making a few drinks under #PeacePours 🌻 Here’s a Lavender Cachaça Sour. Because lavender is calming, and the world needs a big ol' cup of calm the f⭐️ck down lately. 🌺 Lavender Cachaça Sour 1-1/2 oz Cachaça 1 oz Lime juice 3/4 oz Lavender Simple syrup 1/4 oz Violet liqueur 2 drops Instafoam or egg white Garnish: dried lavender salt 🌼 If using Instafoam, add 2 drops into bottom of shaker pour in Cachaça, lime juice, lavender simple syrup, and violet liqueur. Shake hard for 20 second. Add ice. Shake again for another 20 second. Strain into cocktail coupe. Garnish. 🌸 If using egg whites, pour in Cachaça, lime juice, lavender simple syrup, violet liqueur and egg white into a dry shaker. Dry shake for 20 seconds. Add ice. Shake again for another 20 second. Double strain into cocktail coupe. Garnish. (at Los Angeles, California)

Super proud today, having been asked by matt @theamateurmixologist to create a cocktail for World Peace Day which is observed by the Unite Nations to strengthen the ideals of peace within and between countries. My 9 year old daughter asked if she could join in and use the amazing seedlips spirit to create her own one. — — — — I asked her what the answer was to bringing peace to the world. She said “ It’s easy we just need to get along and be kind us kids are going to run the place when we get older” 👏🏽. Today is International Day of Peace....it is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. One of the things I love the most about The Margarita Mum is being apart of the international Instagram cocktail community. World Peace seems as mythical as the 🦄. Today we look to strengthen ideal in hope that one day we will live in harmony. Matt @theamateurmixologist rallied the drinkstagramers to come up cocktails foe #peacepours. My cocktail is called THE HUMAN TOUCH it is loosely based on the corpse reviver. There are equal parts all the main elements to represent equality. Blood orange and pink to represent us from the inside we all the same. Finished off with olive bitters representing the olive branch of peace.
