⭕️TEPACHE!!!⭕️ • • • Tepache is a fermented beverage made from the peel and the rind of pineapples, and is sweetened either with piloncillo or brown sugar, seasoned with powdered cinnamon, and served cold. Though tepache is fermented for several days, the resulting drink does not contain much alcohol. In Mexican culinary practice, the alcoholic content of tepache may be increased with a small amount of beer🍺 the TEPACHE after fermentation contrails probiotics and is often taken for improved health benefits. Not that I am promoting any of these. This is my first attempt making this. ⭕️ Step 1 peel and core a pineapple put into a jar. ⭕️ Step 2 Add a cup of sugar. I used half demarera and half coconut sugar. Add cinnamon or cassia bark. I added cassia. ⭕️ Step 3 fill with water and close the lid and shake. Salt- essential for life most importantly🤓. Acidity can be softened and sweetness brought forward. * * Here is a recipe for an approx 20% saline using Himalayan pink Salt. An approachable and light whisky. Review from @whiskyexchange • Nose: Beguiling aromas of apricots, orange blossom and marmalade, bolstered by subtle spiciness, too – cinnamon and clove. Elegant and seductive. Palate: The generous fruit continues on to the palate, with oranges and apricots in abundance. There’s a little peppery spice, but the soft, succulent fruit takes hold. Nice balance, and nicely crafted.
