and while reading LOSH, i finally got it! i thought about how, narratively, it makes PERFECT SENSE why jon and lor zod get married in the future, ESPECIALLY if the earth does get destroyed. if the earth is gone, then so are all of jon’s roots and ties to his human side. it would really only make sense for him to marry a zod, give half his dna to zod’s scientists, let them slap it together with lor zod’s, and thus produce children that could continue to help repopulate new krypton. plus, we know jonno’s stronker than his pops! a zod plus an el with those pesky human genes that makes him stronger? i know in my heart dru zod himself drafted the marriage proposal and took it to clark while he was just tryna have dinner with his wife and son. unfortunately, bc of this decision, mon el now exists. le sigh.

AND IT’S DURING THIS SHIT ASS LOSH RUN THAT I REALIZED... well of course jon/lor zod makes sense in the narrative. jon’s a plot device. he’s the most powerful fucker in the world, arguably. not yet fully realized, hella pretty, falls in love easily. it makes perfect sense that he’d give into an el/zod union if would make peace. and really, nobody really cares about bendis’ LOSH implications, bc it is such a stanky run, but it’s there. and apparently it’s ok bc it makes sense, bc hey, the zods are SUPPOSED to be evil, so why WOULND’T they try to rope jon into marrying their son so that they can be the universe’s power couple? it’s par the course for the zod famileh.

so why does it make people sooooooooo uncomfortable that jon is dating, in the current timeline, someone who is arguably just as politically inclined? what is it about some asian twink with a podcast that THREATENS fandumb’s delicate sensibilities, and i realized..... it’s cuz he’s literally not lois.

so what happens when the son of superman the god, someone who’s supposed to do better and BE better even when the options are all garbage, starts dating a guy who is being touted a terrorist by a billionaire, a foreign government, AND people on reddit?

well, that’s just too woke now, innit? this is woke. this is what happens when kids learn CRT. they end up falling in love with terrorists. superman can’t love a terrorist!! siegel and shuster rolling in their graves.

except anyone Who Can Read and DID read KNOWS that, that’s not true, and the fact that lex, bendix, and the people in-universe FRAME the revolutionaries as terrorists is literally a meditation on how OUR world frames the question of the revolution, youth-led revolts, and anything not being shielded with rose-tinted glasses. it’s literally a common theme in fiction these days. it’s a common theme in LIFE.

and it’s FASCINATING to see how a thematic element in a comic book that’s geared towards 12-22 yr olds garnered such OUTRAGE, when that thematic element is played on like every other tv show and i think.... oh people are CRAZY crazy now. and not just crazy, they hate being uncomfortable, and dont like that jonno’s not in a traditionally white hetero romance that’s solely dressed in black in white in terms of morality and politics, like lois and clark are. and no, im not referring to the new anime where lois is racebent, this is not a factor in this convo. historically, and up until recently, the question of lois and clark has been and still is a deeply americentric approach at truth and justice, aka the american way. lois is the star reporter, the uncoverer of truths and part of the reason why justice gets served, but she does it the AMERICAN way, the way white people always have and always will find palatable. and that’s fine! these comics have a history. they have a pedigree, and ppl love them for a reason.

but jay doesn’t fit into that mold. he’s not even pretty to look at, in terms of conventional handsomeness, and that seems to be by design!

hiii just curious but why did you stop writing for nct?

hi !! it's really rare to see any inquiries on my main account, and even if i feel like i don't owe anybody an explanation, here are several reasons why i quit writing for nct:

the demographic: if you're like me, a writer who wants to deliver nothing but the best in writing, then nctblr isn't the right place. nobody in that fandom even cares for the quality of writing anymore, and as long as you write explicit smut for a popular member, you will instantly get "feedback"—which, by the way, is just readers fawning over the "quality" of smut more so than the actual quality of writing. i'm someone who wants to write stories, not feed a fantasy to a delusional fanbase who imagines dating/fuckign their bias. as a result, it isn't the right demographic for me simply because readers are just horny for the boys instead of idk, actually wanting to read a fic in general. you could say this for every fandom, but i don't know, nctblr in particular has a penchant for smut, which was further exacerbated when jisung turned legal. for all twenty-three to have content filled with smut and no room for actual stories definitely unmotivated me to write, and the sfw fics out there for the fandom are either reliving the glory days of 2018-2020 nctblr with the greats, or writers milking the shit out of inaccurately stupid college aus and/or overdone mafia tropes.

the community: the readers reflect the writers, and in some ways, the toxicity of nctblr's demographic blended into the influx of writers that exhibit problematic behavior. nctblr was a chalk full of drama, plagiarism, and everything that disturbs the peace. each day i check my dash and see unreasonable hate anons that seem too fake to be actual hate anons, and i feel like most nct writers save for a few ogs and some of the people i have the pleasure of calling friends and mutuals (basically the people i haven't cut ties with) are so hungry for drama that it wouldn't surprise me if a bunch of them conspirated to send each other hate anons to fill the dash with their savior complex and how "good" of a mutual they are by defending their precious "moot" from the #haterz. it's so fucking frustrating to see so much drama and self-righteous hypocrites on the dashboard who don't practice what they preach, and in a sense, if that's the majority of the community, then i want out.

the community, part two: nctblr is cliquey. that's not a surprise for sure. the majority of the people i've encountered (again, save for a few i've kept contact with to this day) are so clout hungry it's actually laughable. i remember back in @dhoya, where bigger writers or writers in general only began talking to me once i passed 500 or so, and refused to recognize me for my writing. i was mainly discovered through bigger authors reblogging my works or interacting with me, and i hated the feeling of gaining recognition not by my hard work and creations, but because i just so happened to talk to the "right people." this is a sad fact that bleeds into reality, but in a space that's supposed to facilitate escapism i find myself having to feel like i'm forcing my linkedin down employers' throats. it's so suffocating, having to get my writing out there by talking to the right people instead of having my writing speak for itself.

that being said, i wanted a fresh start from everything to facilitate a safe space where i can freely create instead of having to worry about illogical drama, problematic people, a reader base who won't even give longer works or works that aren't smut a chance, and the cliquey nature of what is supposed to be a diaspora of creative minds and inspiration. i wanted a place for me and my writing, and leaving nctblr was honestly the best decision i have ever made for my creative process. sure, i do encounter an abundance of problems with enhablr, but to actually gain recognition for my writing instead of having to network? that was what solidified the fact that maybe, just maybe, i made the right decision. i'm happy with where my blog and i am right now, and i don't think i'll ever go back to writing for nct.

The politics of an American court to know the arrests of me are suspicious and probably illegal because I aint in prison. I supposedly committed multiple crimes in California and charged with multiple felonies in California and I was on probation and fled from California on probation and California to issue felony fugitive warrants and I was arrested again in Colorado and charged with multiple felonies to include assault of a peace officer and the charges and warrants in California dismissed and Im on two years probation out of Colorado, if they could they would put me in prison and they cant put me in prison because the investigation against myself is instigating the instances of the law was feasanced. They never put in prison and I should and can lynch the corrupt government officials but I dont have to and I will probably get them with politics as the people to notice the charges against me are suspicious and probably illegal will notice the community demanding retaliation against me because of bogus information broadcasted against myself from the state and federal government and the community will be unable to do any reprisal against myself because of politics.
