actually genuinely curious about this because anecdotally I think I've seen a shift, maybe even in my own reading patterns

Several folks asked so here is a brief explanation. I fused larger strips (think 2.5”wide) to Steam-a-Seam2, then organically cut those into 1/4-1/2” width by 3 pieces. I organized by color family. I used a Goddess Pr asking appliqué sheet to see the fish shape underneath it. I peeled the paper backing off each strip as I built my fish on the sheet. Once I was happy with the placement I fused all the pieces together. I let the fish cool then carefully peeled it off the sheet. I built all 6 fish this way. I then placed each fish on the pieced background I made and once happy with the placement fused it to the background. This pile of fabric strips (1/4-1/2” x 3”) turned into these

I’m having it custom quilted. It’s going to be in a silent auction at a meeting my daughter is planning. Hope it will bring in a lot of $$
What do you think of it??

Do you want one of your own little dragons like these? Well I finally made a pattern for them! It's not the prettiest or most well-written pattern in the world but it will get the job done. Find it here!
This pattern is totally free but if you would like to send a few dollars my way, it would mean a lot if you supported my local zine project!! Ko-fi here.
If you are not able to make your own dragon and still want one, I will also accept commissions for these in a wide range of colors and add-ons. Just send me a message! :3

This is the project that got me back into embriodery! I never felt like I knew what to do with other kits, but this one was very good at identifying where certain base stitches would work best and why. It also gave enough space to really practice the stitch. I've gotten better since I finished this piece, and it's such a relief to know that I finally figured out how to get the lazy daisy stitches to look right.
This isn't my pattern, just my embroidery! I got the kit from StitchedStories on Etsy, and I definitely bought one of their kits for a friend who said they wanted to figure out embriodery.

It was a joy to share my work at Manayunk Arts Festival this year! I always love this show not just for the people but for the area itself. We stayed in a little Airbnb above main street and it was really fun to get to know Manayunk a little better. The show went by so fast and it was a great time reconnecting with my artist friends and customers I met here in prior years. I was surprised to receive an award for best in category at the show! I was very humbled and I am truly grateful for the honor. We stayed an extra day in Philly and celebrated Kirk’s birthday by getting some amazing Thai food and visiting Longwood gardens! (He is quite the plant dad these days haha) Thank you to everyone who stopped by the show! Now I’ll be working on filling wholesale orders and custom orders for the next few weeks.

HEY guess who's being completely normal about episode 7 :)
anyway it sure ain't me, so I made myself a baby Malleus! I used the single-headed version of Choly Knight's hydra pattern (link will be in replies ↓↓↓) as a base, and just messed with some of the pieces to make him more Mall-y. including sewing all those little claw pieces, then pinning them on and realizing I actually liked him better without them...oh well. to heck with accuracy, I want stubby little dragon legs!
unfortunately, he doesn't photograph very well, especially his forehead scales (they're there! I promise!) (they're made of glitter HTV so they are actually SPARKLY in real life, yet apparently they come out completely invisible in photos, woe). but he is super cuddly and soft so I'm happy with him! just as in canon, he is a product of LOVE. :>

I finished this at the beginning of December but completely forgot to post it (>﹏<;) I was inspired by the other fine people making yarnfellows based on @sleepnoises' lovely work and decided to make my own little amigurumi fellow
