hello tumblr path of titans community i bring you a very important question: are there, for lack of a better term, non-realism roleplay servers for PoT? as in, character and/or plot driven?

Ship of Dreams
----
“You know - they say this ship can’t sink, it was all in the papers, impossible - they said.”
“Yes, that’s what I’ve heard,” Roman shrugged, shifting just a little closer. He wished he could wrap his arms around him, press kisses to his cheeks - pink with the cold - but they couldn’t, not in public. Roman hoped that was something that would change one day.
“If… if she did sink - what would we do?” Virgil asked, eyes still trained on the frothing wake the ship left in its path.
“Why, I’d swim us to America, of course, I promise,” Roman said, reaching over to brush his fingers over Virgil’s jaw, so he’d look over at him, “But she won’t sink, don’t worry so much my darling.”

Hi all this is NOT my usual kind of fic and this one's gonna need some context AND some warnings.
So this is a fic I wrote for a RP au I'm doing on discord, which is why it may seem like it's lacking context. To add some basic needed context: Roman is an immortal vampire, Virgil is his boyfriend/lover - at the point of the fic they've been together about five and a bit years. This fic details how Virgil dies, and is a major point in his backstory for the RP. Everything else should be obvious in the fic <3
----
Roman had hardly ever seen Virgil so excited as he ran into his arms, waving the pair of tickets he had just bought in his hand. Having fairly rich parents did come with perks, after all, and Virgil had finally managed to convince them to send over the money they’d need to go to America. Roman could have paid for them himself, but Virgil had wanted to do this one himself - and second class tickets were incredibly expensive, not even thinking about first. They were lucky Virgil’s parents had agreed to let him move further away - they already weren’t too happy about him living in England, let alone America.
Still, he was pulled into a tight hug, Virgil’s warm hand pressed into the small of his back and the other resting on his hip. Never would he get used to the warmth of human touch. Virgil pressed his lips to the shell of Roman’s ear and then yelped indignantly as Roman picked him up to spin them around with a cheer of celebration.
“I can’t wait to show you America,” Roman said once he’d set Virgil back on his feet, a grin broke out on his face.
“I still want to see these apparent secret tunnels of yours,” Virgil said, pinching his arm playfully, Roman yelped when he did, as if it hurt when he had barely felt it at all, “Need to see what you’re constantly raving about.”
“There are secret tunnels! I had them built myself!” Roman cried indignantly, Virgil had never believed him about his secret rooms and tunnels in his mansion back in America, Roman couldn’t wait to show him.
“Well I’d like to see them,” He huffed, “I won’t believe you until I do.”
“A week, my Stormcloud,” Roman said, meeting Virgil’s eyes with a bright smile, “A week, and I’ll be able to show you all you’ve ever wanted to see.”
Virgil punched him in the arm, “You’re such a sap.”
—-
“Isn’t she huge ?” Roman said, looking up at the ship they were to be sailing on. It was a warm day, sunny and midmorning. The ship itself was to sail at noon, but Virgil had always been nervous about timings, so they were here just a little bit early - almost ten am. Virgil yanked Roman’s hat over his face and huffed whilst he flailed and cried out indignantly.
“That’s why she’s called ‘Titanic’,” Virgil said, rolling his eyes, only making Roman laugh
“I knew that, you fusspot, come on.”
“No you come on, slowpoke,” Virgil said, whacking Roman in the arm before running off towards the ship. Running after him, Roman cried out with a laugh, weaving between people whilst keeping a hand on his hat. He knew that the people around must think him insane, but he didn’t care much when he finally found Virgil waiting for him near the second class gangway - he was fairly certain that the only reason he’d stopped was the fact that Roman needed the ticket he carried to follow him onto the ship itself. The guard checked their tickets - Roman Prince and Virgil Garcia - and handed them back to Virgil, who stepped up onto the gangway and stopped, leaning back to offer Roman a hand, smiling brightly.
For a moment, Roman was stopped dead in awe at how beautiful his partner looked, the cool wind whipping his dark hair around his face and his eyes lit up with a smile as he shook his hand, waiting for Roman to take it. Quickly he snapped out of it, reaching for Virgil’s hand and letting himself be led onto the Ship of Dreams.
Their rooms were lovely. Far better than they had expected with carpeted floors and mahogany furniture. Roman had honestly expected worse - though everyone had been saying that this ship was ahead of her time. According to the newspapers the ship’s facilities were more lavish and comfortable than any other for all classes, but he still hadn’t expected this.
“You want top bunk?” Virgil asked, already putting his bags up there - he already knew what Roman’s answer would be before he asked the question.
“I want to cuddle with you,” He said with a pout, making Virgil laugh.
Gesturing to the bed, Virgil shrugged, “It’ll be tight.”
“I know you don’t care about that,” Roman rolled his eyes, “You’d be happy if I had to lie on top of you.”
Virgil shrugged, “You got me.”
Rolling his eyes, Roman put his own bag on the top bunk with Virgil’s, glancing around, “You know - since we’re here early…”
“That’s your plotting tone, you’re plotting something,” Virgil said, crossing his arms.
“Well… we arrived so early, and there aren’t many people here yet… why don’t we go explore instead of hiding in here?”
With a small frown on his face, Virgil looked Roman over, he was still wearing a cloak and his hat, but… “...Are you sure the sun won’t bother you?”
“Such a worrywort,” Roman shakes his head grimly, “I’ll be fine, dearest, come on - I want to see what they’re hiding from us in first class.”
“Princey!” Virgil hissed as Roman stood up, grabbing his hand and pulling him along, “We can’t go there!”
Roman turned back to him with a smile, “Hey, they’re not here yet! It’s barely even ten and the trains haven’t arrived, why don’t we have a bit of fun, right?”
Shaking his head, Virgil made his way after Roman to explore the first class areas whilst they could.
—-
“This place is plain awful,” Virgil mumbled as they looked over the second class dining room. It was already nearly full of people gathering for dinner and crowded, neither of them were a fan of crowded spaces for their own reasons. Roman winced.
“What’s the chance they’d let you take a plate and go?” He asked, tilting his head, Virgil grumbled something unintelligible before grabbing Roman’s wrist and leading him to an emptier spot on one of the large, long tables and sitting down. Roman sighed and sat next to him, hooking his foot over Virgil’s for reassurance. When they were approached by a waiter, Roman declined anything and Virgil ordered and scoffed his food as fast as he could so they could get out of there.
The walk back to their stateroom down on E deck (so many stairs, Roman had offered to carry Virgil down them, he’d refused) felt like an age. When they had finally gotten there, Virgil gently pushed him down onto the sofa in their room, taking his own seat sideways in his lap, and pulling his hair back.
“Your turn,” He said, leaning back against him. Roman frowned.
“Virgil, love-” Roman started, before Virgil cut him off.
“You’re gonna protest because you do this every time but you haven’t drank anything in three days, Princey,” Virgil said, leaning over to pull him into a kiss, “And I don’t want you to be hungry whilst we’re tryna have fun, got it?”
Roman sighed, carefully brushing Virgil’s hair back and pulling his jacket down so it sat around his waist instead. Virgil immediately relaxed into him as his lips barely brushed over his neck.
“I don’t like doing this,” Roman said softly, Virgil shivered at the cool brush of his lips.
“I know,” Virgil said, reaching around him to start untying his hair, “I wish there was a better way for you to get what you need.”
Really, in Roman’s mind, he didn’t have much hope for something like that. He was scared he would have to keep doing this forever, and after Virgil…. Without Virgil he would have to go back to hunting.
Taking a deep breath, just the way Virgil had taught him, he nodded, “That would be nice, for now I’m… grateful that you let me have you.”
“Well I’m grateful that you can do it for me,” Virgil said, gently patting Roman’s chest, “You know I need the relaxation sometimes.”
“You’re going to get addicted to my venom at some point and then neither of us will be happy,” Roman pointed out, giving him a little nudge. Virgil huffed.
“I don’t think that’s possible.”
“Who knows?”
“Just shut up and bite me, Princey.”
—-
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Roman said, tone a little wistful as he leant on the railing, leaning over just a little to look at the ship’s wake. It still amazed him how such a heavy thing was able to stay afloat, let alone move so quickly.
Leaning on the railing with him, just a little ways away, Virgil hummed. His hair blew back with a particularly strong gust of wind that had his jacket billowing around his legs and Roman laughed.
“A little cold though, hm?”
“Just a bit,” Virgil grumbled. Crossing his arms on the railing and looking down at the water, “You know - they say this ship can’t sink, it was all in the papers, impossible - they said.”
“Why, I’d swim us to America, of course, I promise I’d still get us there,” Roman said, reaching over to brush his fingers over Virgil’s jaw, so he’d look over at him, “But she won’t sink, don’t worry so much my darling.”
“Mm…” Virgil hummed, looking back at the water, “It’s a little scary, isn’t it? I mean - I know we’ve both done it before, but… leaving everything we know? Isn’t that terrifying?”
“A little,” Roman agreed, “I like to think of it more as an adventure - it helps with the nerves.”
He had been on so many adventures in his time, moving all over England, visiting Spain, going to America. Virgil had only ever travelled from his home in Spain to England, it was still a terrifying journey - especially for Virgil, who worried too much about such little things.
“You look lovely in this light,” Roman says, glancing towards the sun where it slowly approached the horizon, “I’d love to paint you in it.”
He made a wide gesture and when his hand left the railing, his glove clung to the metal.
They slept soundly together that night, curled up in each other’s arms. That would be the last time they would ever do so.
The third day of their trip had started normally - aside from an odd ‘off’ feeling that Roman had quickly brushed off, not wanting to worry Virgil. They had gone about the day just like any other - Roman had wanted to see what the library on board had to offer (not much he hadn’t already read) but they had stayed in there half the morning until lunch, where they’d made their way towards the dining hall early in order to secure seats at the ends on the tables instead of being stuck between a bunch of strangers.
As the sun began to set, the pair returned to the stern of the ship to once more watch the sea, the night was clear and crisp that night - with not a cloud in sight.
“It’s getting dark,” Virgil commented as the sun slowly sank below the horizon.
“Do you want to go back inside?” Roman asked, tilting his head, it was definitely starting to get colder out here.
Virgil’s gaze travelled from the horizon up to Roman’s face, and then beyond him to where the first stars were starting to peek through the sunset, “Would you like to stargaze?” He asked, “Maybe after dinner? It looks like the night’ll be clear enough.”
“You think so?” Roman asked, joining him in looking upwards.
“Do you see a cloud up there?”
“I suppose not,” Roman chuckles, placing his hand on top of Virgil's on the railing, “Well now I’m excited to gaze at the stars with you, come - let’s have dinner quickly.”
An hour later when they returned to the deck it was fully dark, dark enough for Roman and Virgil to sneak up to the first class promenade on A-Deck where they could get a much better view without the ship’s smokestacks in the way. Luckily for them they weren’t noticed and found a cosy bench to curl up on. Roman let down his hair for Virgil to run his hands through as they watched the stars.
At some point Virgil fell asleep whilst Roman talked mindlessly about the constellations - most of which he had made up. He had always found it more relaxing when Roman talked, the sound of his voice soothing him. For the few hours that Virgil slept, Roman held him, his cheek rested atop Virgil’s head as he continued to watch the stars above them and the dark sea ahead. It was peaceful at night, with barely even a breeze, though it was cold.
By the time Virgil woke again, Roman thought it must have been some time past midnight, he wasn’t too sure, though Virgil was groggy and mumbling something about not knowing where they were. Roman told him that he’d fallen asleep.
“Oh you must be freezing,” Virgil said softly, sitting up a little more and looking at him, “We’ve been out here for hours-”
“I’m fine, really,” Roman waved him off. Sure, it was cold, but Roman didn’t mind all that much. Huffing - clearly not accepting that answer - Virgil shrugged off his jacket and wrapped it around Roman’s shoulders. A triumphant smile on his face when Roman practically melted into it. He stuck his tongue out in retaliation.
“Oh put that away,” Virgil said, obviously trying not to laugh as he sticks his tongue out at Roman too.
“You hypocrite!” Roman cried, a hand to his heart with an offended gasp. Virgil turned away as he burst out laughing, giving Roman the chance to put on the jacket properly.
Looking back at him, Virgil crossed his arms, “I’m not getting that back now until we go inside, am I?”
“Absolutely not,” Roman says, shaking his head solemnly.
“Ro… oh shit! Ro - look at that,” Virgil said, grabbing Roman’s arm and pointing somewhere ahead of them. Roman’s eyes widened a little, “Is that an iceberg?”
“...I think so,” Roman nodded, frowning, an iceberg that they looked to be heading straight for, no less, “They’ve seen it - I can hear them - they’re turning the ship, it’s alright.”
“Oh, good,” Virgil says, leaning back into Roman’s side where they sat on the bench.
It wasn’t alright.
Virgil let out a short lived sigh of relief as the bow of the ship passed the iceberg ahead of them, before yelping in alarm when the whole ship creaked and screeched in protest and started to shudder and shake - grabbing onto Roman’s arm and staring up at where chunks of ice were breaking off of the berg and landing with a crash on the deck. Neither of them seemed to have words for a moment as they watched it pass.
“I didn’t realise icebergs were so big…” Roman said softly - it was the only thing he could think of at the moment. He didn’t know what he should have expected from an iceberg - but it wasn’t something so huge and monstrous as that.
Keeping tight hold of Roman’s arm, Virgil stood, Roman going with him so they wouldn’t have to separate. They made their way over to the edge of the ship. Roman put a careful hand on Virgil’s back as they leant over, trying to see what damage had been done.
“We can’t see from here,” Roman said, worry lacing his voice as Virgil turned back to look at him.
“What do we do?” He asks, “Do they know?”
“I’m sure they know,” Roman nodded, glancing around. A few more people had come up onto the deck now, looking around in confusion. The iceberg itself was already far in the distance when Roman felt the ship shudder to a halt beneath his feet, “Yeah, they know.”
Frowning, Virgil leant into Roman’s side, “How bad do you think it was?”
Roman stayed quiet and listened, though it was hard to hear into the wheelhouse with the people now on the deck murmuring and chattering quietly. Virgil waited patiently for an answer, and the answer Roman ended up with was not a good one.
“She’s sinking,” Roman said, voice small, Virgil looked up at him in horror as Roman started to panic, “It’s bad - really bad -the iceberg tore up the side of the ship -”
Quickly, Virgil squeezed Roman’s arm, putting a hand on his face, “It’s okay, shh, breath Princey.”
“Virgil -”
“Roman,” Virgil told him, “It’ll be okay-”
“Virgil there’s not enough lifeboats,” Roman interrupted him, still listening to what the officers were whispering about above them, “Not everyone is going to be able to make it - not even half-”
Putting both hands on Roman’s cheeks now, Virgil gave him a gentle kiss, “It’s okay, Ro, they’ll get help - there's other ships, precautions and stuff -”
“How are you not panicking?” Roman asked, looking over at him, Virgil looked back.
“I am - I’m just - you’re panicking,” Virgil said, “So I have to stay calm - one of us does.”
“That’s not - it doesn’t work like that,” Roman shook his head.
“Would you rather I be panicking right now?”
“...No,”
“Then shush - and lets just - lets just figure out what to do.”
 —-
It was chaos. With Virgil clinging to Roman’s arm for dear life, Roman led them through the crowd from lifeboat to lifeboat, trying like many others to find one that would let them on. Women and children only, they all said, getting the men to stand back whilst women of all ages and children were piled onto the boats. Roman noticed one boat launched half full and almost shed a tear right then. Virgil helped a set of twins with curly red hair into the nearest lifeboat - they seemed to have lost their parents in the half-panicked crowd - he wasn’t allowed to follow them in. A surge of panic had overtaken him when Virgil had left his side and it never faded despite getting him back moments later.
They kept trying, the crowds grew more and more frantic, the number of people on the deck only grew despite more lifeboats being launched. Roman thought he might strangle the next officer who wouldn’t let Virgil on.
That surge of panic from before had never quite left him, only grown stronger and stronger as time passed and people got more and more panicked around them too. The yelling was deafening, Virgil had covered his ears some time ago, flinching every time someone screamed or shouted too close. People pushed and shoved their way to the front, someone elbowed Virgil and Roman hissed viciously at the man - he didn’t care who he was. The poor guy had backed off, terrified, just like everyone else.
The band was still playing. Virgil remarked on it bitterly as they passed the trio for the second time. “Music to drown by? Now I know we’re in first class.”
Roman couldn’t help how the remark had made him wince. First class, that’s who was up here. A few of the lucky second and third class who’d come up to investigate in the first place. Where were the hundreds of people who weren’t first class? How many people had been abandoned to die in the bowels of this ship?
Tilting, the ship was tilting. Walking down the deck to the last boat felt like walking down a muddy hill. They could see the water now, so much closer, at the bow of the ship - where they’d been sitting just two hours ago - water was almost rising over the railings now.
There were no lifeboats left.
They had tried desperately, checked everywhere, none. No boats were left, Roman could see them in the distance, sailing away. He could hear the screaming of a thousand people, left, waiting, scared, clinging to a sinking ship, hundreds of people left alone and scared to die. Virgil looked at Roman, eyes wide as water spilled onto the promenade they had snuck onto to explore just three days ago, the promenade on which they had sat to watch the stars.
“What do we do?” He whispered. Roman choked back a sob, he didn’t have an answer.
Still he dragged Virgil up the ship as it tilted, they followed the screaming crowd as they ran for the stern, no matter the hopelessness that was quickly filling his heart and spilling over into his head. Roman still held Virgil tightly as the ship tore itself in half, he still screamed with Virgil and everyone else as she crashed back into the water. Virgil was trembling, with cold or fear or both Roman didn’t know.
“It’s going to be cold,” Roman said, Virgil was momentarily stripped of his panic to stare at him.
“Pretty redundant statement, Princey,” he gritted out as they clung to a metal fence,
“You’ll have to hold your breath,” Roman said anyway, “And don’t let go of me - I’ll get us to the surface.”
Virgil didn’t bite back this time, the ship had started to go down again, they could feel it, the flip of their stomachs, like this was just a demented, awful, fairground ride.
Just as Roman had said to, Virgil clung to him when they were sucked down by the water into the void the ship had left. Kicking for the surface, Roman pulled Virgil out of the water, where he spluttered and spat out salt water. People all around them were screaming and yelling, splashing in the water, he held Virgil close as everyone looked for something to cling to, anything to keep them afloat.
“They’ll come back,” Roman said to a violently shivering Virgil, with a death grip on the jacket he was still wearing, later he would wonder whether giving the jacket back could have saved him, he hadn’t thought of it before, “They’ll save you, they’ll save you.”
Both of them, somehow, knew it wasn’t true.
It got quiet, it got quiet too quickly.
“They’re dying,” Virgil whispered, his voice cracking and small. His breath fogged in front of him, Roman could see his lips were turning blue and saltwater turned to frost on his eyelashes, “I’m- I’m going to die, Roman, you have to-”
“No,” Roman shook his head violently, he too had frost on his lashes, in his hair, though it was shaken off. He couldn’t succumb to hypothermia, after all, “No you won’t, I won’t, they’ll come back, they have to.”
“Roman please,” Virgil whispered, “Please turn me.”
“Virgil,” He whispered, “I-”
“Do it, Roman, please,” He begged, his words stuttering and forced through his quickly slowing shivers. He didn’t have time, the lifeboats weren’t coming back, they wouldn’t make it.
He supposed swimming to America wasn’t so far-fetched an idea after all.
“Okay,” he said, pained, but there was no choice, he would die otherwise, “Okay - okay.”
His fangs sank into Virgil’s neck, his skin was freezing, his blood felt like ice pouring down Roman’s throat, tears slipped down his cheeks only to freeze halfway there as Virgil fell limp in his arms.
A sob ripped its way from his throat as he pulled away, leaving blood to trickle from the bite despite Virgil’s heart no longer beating.
Through his tears he tore open his wrist with his own fang, holding the bleeding wound over his loves parted lips even as his skin knitted itself together again. He knew it was useless, he had been too late.
It was far too late when a boat did come back.
The death all around him had made Roman sick, he’d vomited at least once by now, lungs hurting though he didn’t need to breathe, heart heavy though it didn’t beat. He clung to Virgil’s lifeless body even as they tried to pull him aboard.
Weakly he fought them, but even he was weak and tired from the water, sobs still wracked his body with every moment. Roman hadn’t cried this much since he was human.
The officer had to break Virgil’s frozen fingers to loosen his grip on the jacket Roman still wore. His jacket, Virgil’s jacket, which he refused to let them take off of him in favour of dry blankets when they boarded the Carpathia even when they promised him he’d get it back. He’d screamed when they pulled Virgil’s corpse away from him, pulled him back when he’d tried to reach for him again, held him down as he cried out in anguish as his love sank under the water.
They called him mad in whispers aboard the Carpathia, crew and passengers alike, when she arrived to save them, hours too late though she was the only one who had come. An officer was assigned to watch him after he had tried to throw himself overboard within hours, he had to get back to him, find him, he’d promised that they’d see America, he’d told him that he’d swim if he had to and if they let him he would. Virgil didn’t deserve to rot at the bottom of the Atlantic.
But Roman had been too weak for that, he was too weak to save him, too weak to go back to him, too weak to make good on any of his promises. All he could do was cling to the jacket he wore and the blanket they had given him. He sat so still and unmoving that they worried he was in shock, they’d sent for a doctor and Roman had pushed him away when he’d tried to diagnose him with hysteria. Still he cried but he didn’t scream, he didn’t try and throw himself over the railings again, they had moved too far for that now and Roman knew he wouldn’t make it. He knew he wasn’t strong enough anymore.
The moment the statue of liberty passed over him was supposed to be a happy one, one he could share with the person he loved as they embarked on such a wondrous adventure. But it was only Roman who passed under that statue as rain poured down over them, it was only Roman who got to see her in her glory - even in the rain she was beautiful, he thought Virgil would’ve loved to see it.
“Your name, sir?” An officer asked as he reached the gate, expression blank and eyes absent, hands shaking as they clenched the jacket that still smelled of saltwater and death. He looked up, finding himself unable to make eye contact with the man, though he had a kind face, a sympathetic look in his eyes. Roman couldn’t stand it, he didn’t need sympathy, he needed something no-one could give him back.
“Roman,” He said, tone flat.
“And your surname>?” he prompted. Someone behind him in the line huffed in annoyance. Roman’s hand worried a frayed seam in the jacket - he would have to fix it when he got home, he couldn’t lose this too. The last thing Virgil had given to him.
Not the last.
“Roman Garcia,” He said, trying to sound confident. The man nodded with a smile and wrote down his name before waving him off.
Roman Prince had left England hand in hand with the person he loved, waving to no-one aboard the Ship of Dreams, full of hope and excited for the future - they both had been.
Roman Garcia stepped onto the grounds of America alone, hand and heart equally empty, from a ship that had been the only one to answer their call for aid. A ship that had not been fast enough to save him.

i miss all my old rp partners that tolerated yor's existence. shin hated him the most, naturally, and yor thrived in those instances. drifter's have always been an interesting interaction, a man made in the shadow of the shadow, who carved his own path in the dark. orin, a long lost friend who was made so upset by yor's continued existence and actions that she broke free of the nine just to kick his ass. tover, who sought out the dredgen if only to find some solace from the void of which hunters are apparently affected the most by. and vadim, a man who lived and loved rezyl through the dark ages, and still loves him, even though the man that yor once had been no longer exists..
i could talk about hassa, rezyl's fireteam member who only ever saw reason and hated every instance of the titan's antics but stuck around anyways. but he is still around and i can toss this asshole in his direction whenever @twiningfates is online LOL

10th Game - Scion 2e
A bit strange that it took me this long to get around to doing Scion 2e. But anyway, let's move on.
Scion is a game set in a modern day where all the mythologies of the world are true, even those that contradict each other. Correction: especially those that contradict each other.
Oddly, there is not a specific template for gorgons yet. Here are the options we could do:
A scion of a godly or titanic patron.
A denizen, a supernatural being but one without a patron.
A dragon of the naga wing, because they have multiple heads.
The system sort of differentiates gods and titans, but also says they can use each others powers, and lore implies that the distinction is largely more political than actual.
I'm going to go with the Godly/Titanic scion.
Step 1 - Concept
For concept we come to the basic idea of who the character is "gorgon archer" is a good seed, but we need to flesh it out a little bit here.
In this case, I'm going to go with the Theoi (Greek Gods). I've done prior versions of gorgons that were associated with either the Orisha and also as an independent tutelary scion devoted to protecting the impoverished.
In this case, where the supernatural is public, I'm going to say that she's been known as a gorgon her entire life and received some disdain for it, and as she's grown up she's been taken in by a goddess associated with the Liminal.
We're also supposed to choose some Deeds here. Deeds are goals that we have for the character over the course of play. They are a mix of the character's goals and our narrative goals for things we want them to face. So it could be "track down my father's killer" or "lose a fight."
By RAW we would create three of these Deeds. So each player would have one each of the following:
One Short Term Deed - something that can be completed within a single session.
One Long Term Deed - something that would take a story-arc to complete.
One Band Deed - something that may take several one or more story arcs to complete and is shared across every character in the same Band.
You get experience for completing these.
In any session you complete one or more Short Term Deeds, you gain 1 XP.
In any session where every player completes at least one Short Term Deed, everybody gains a bonus 1 XP.
In any session where you complete a Long Term Deed you get either 2 XP or 3 XP. This is based on how powerful you already are. Legend 0 "Origin" characters gain 2 XP. Legend 1 and higher characters gain 3 XP.
Once you gain experience for a Long Term Deed, you cannot gain experience for another until everybody in the party has completed one each of Short Term, Long Term, and Band Deeds.
------
My group tends to further homebrew this as follows:
You can have up to 3 Short-Term Deeds active at once and may switch some out at session start if they no longer feel relevant.
You can refill a list of 3 Short-Term Deeds once everybody has completed one-each of all three scales of Deed, just like for Long-Term bonuses.
The multiple Short-Term deeds is meant to provide a variety of RP options rather than laser focus on one. The limit of refilling them is to make sure no one advances far past the other players.
We're going not to use this homebrew, but I just wanted to note it.
------
So, for this character's three Deeds:
Short Term: Make an impressive shot.
Long Term: Prove yourself a champion to outcasts.
Step 2 - Paths
Now we move on to Paths which is where we establish some of the narrative backstory of the character. While there is no hard and fast rule as to what these Paths represent, the default suggestion is as follows:
Origin Path - Your upbringing and where you come from.
Role Path - What sort of skills and occupation you have.
Society/Pantheon Path - The overall society you're associated with.
Each of these paths will contain of the following:
A title that summarizes this facet of your character.
A set of three skills.
Group, contact, and access connections, people you know and places you can go.
A condition that occurs will you stress your connection to this Path too far.
I'm going to start with the Origin Path and define it as follows based on the example Suburbia origin path from the book:
Suburban Gorgon Outcast
Skills: Culture, Empathy, Technology
Contacts: Gamer clubs, the weird kids, FLGS, Doc Albricht her general practitioner that treated her and helped her deal with bullies.
Going with the default conditions of "suspended" and "revoked' for if she stresses her contacts too hard.
For Role, I'm going to go with the following as a custom made Path:
LARPing Cozy-Witch
Skills: Athletics, Occult, Culture
Contacts: Local LARPIng society, coven of witches, Martha Marrero archery and HEMA instructor.
Same default conditions of "suspended" and "revoked".
For Society, I'm going with the Theoi base, of course, which gives Athletics, Persuasion, and one my choice. And I'm going to imply her patron in the title.
Found on the Crossroads
Skills: Athletics, Persuasion, Occult
Contacts: Temple of Hecate, Isaac Finch, servant of Hecate
Same default conditions of "suspended" and "revoked".
As a note, the game allows you to have any number of Paths you want, but only three of them affect skills and it gets increasingly difficult to make each path significant to your character. So it advises not going past six paths, just for the simplicity of making sure they all stay relevant to the narrative. The leeway is probably because some of the birthrights you can take on basically function as extra Paths.
We need to prioritize these so I'm going to do so as follows:
Primary: LARPing Cozy-Witch
Secondary: Suburban Gorgon Outcast
Tertiary: Found on the Crossroads
This is going to be important in the next step.
Step 3 - Skills
We're going to set our starting skill levels. We'll get more points to add to these later and add some character, but this is what we're starting with.
This is pretty easy.
The skills associated with the Primary path get 3 dots. Those associated with the Secondary path get 2 dots. Those associated with the Tertiary path get 1 dot. These get added up to a maximum of 5. If any skill goes above 5 (which I don't think will happen here) then the excess can be applied wherever we want. Any skill with a level of 3 or higher gets a specialty associated with it.
As such this is what we get:
Culture 5 (Primary and Secondary paths)
Occult 4 (Primary and Tertiary paths)
Technology 2 (Secondary path)
Athletics 4 (Primary and Tertiary paths)
Empathy 2 (Secondary path)
Persuasion 1 (Tertiary path)
Athletics is the combat skill associated with archery. For Specialties we're going with the following:
Culture (Activism)
Occult (Witchcraft)
Athletics (Archery)
As a note, by RAW these would be the only free specialty the character gets, but my group plays such that the first time you hit 3 in a skill at any time, you get one free specialty. That might apply here when we get to the free points later on in the character creation section. For now we're finished with Skills.
Step 4 - Attributes
Scion uses the 3x3 grid of attributes traditionally found in Storyteller games. Which makes sense given that Storypath was developed out of Storyteller. This is another case of prioritizing stats.
We have:
Three Arenas: Physical, Mental Social
Three Approaches: Force, Finesse, Resilience
We assign these by choosing:
The priority of our Arenas.
Naming a favored Approach.
This gives us the following:
1 free dot in each Attribute.
2 free dots in each Attribute in the Favored Approach.
6 dots to distribute to the attributes in the Primary Arena
4 dots to distribute to the attributes in the Secondary Arena
2 dots to distribute to the attributes in the Tertiary Arena
I'm going to break my standard here and actually put her archery a bit on the lower end and make Physical her tertiary approach, Social her primary approach, and Mental her secondary approach. For Favored Approach, I think I'm going to go with Resilience since we I've established her as having weathered a lot of bullying.
And that will result in the following:
Physical Force: Might 1
Physical Finesse: Dexterity 3
Physical Resilience: Stamina 3
Mental Force: Intellect 3
Mental Finesse: Cunning 2
Mental Resilience: Resolve 4
Social Force: Presence 4
Social Finesse: Manipulation 3
Social Resilience: Composure 4
I usually distinguish favored dots with a different color and use a tiered list rather than labeling things as "Physical Force" but tumblr doesn't do that well. So I was limited to what you see and marking the Favored Approach by marking those three attributes with bold/italic.
That handles Attributes for now.
Step 5 - Callings and Knacks
Now, this is the first time we end up to a step where there's a difference based on whether you are building an Origin or Hero character.
An Origin character would get one Calling from her among her patron's favored callings and a Hero character will three Callings, one of which should be from their patron's favored callings.
I usually start from Origin and move from there, but in this case, I'm going to assume a Hero character.
This is where I'm going to say that the character's patron is Hecate, hence "Found at the Crossroads". Hecate's callings are Healing, Liminal, and Sage. I want Sage. For the second, I'm going to take an optional Calling from the Realms of Mystery and Magic supplement: Psychopomp. For the third, I'm choosing between Lover and Leader, and I think I'm going with Lover.
Note: I was going to take the Healing calling, but it is almost all about physical healing and I wanted to focus on emotional healing.
I thought about taking Titan callings, but the closest would be Monster and I don't feel this character is about predation. The way she's shaping up, she's more about sheltering.
So, one Calling gets two dots and the other two each get one dot. Callings can not be increased with XP, they only go up as Legend goes up and that goes up based on completing Deeds (each time you complete set of one Short, one Long, and one Band your Legend goes up by 1.)
I'm assigning as follows:
Lover *
Sage *
Psychopomp **
Now, each Calling gets a number of Knacks equal to their dots in that Calling. You can purchase others via experience, but your dots limit how many you can have access.
By RAW, an "Immortal" knack counts as two dots in character creation and how many they count as for being active, but they cost the same amount of experience points as a Heroic knack. So usually, my group house rules that you can take two Immortal knacks if you want, you'll still only be able to slot one at a time but you get a choice. I'm not expecting to pick Immortal knacks anyway, so this isn't going to affect this character, but did like to say it.
There are also a number of generic knacks that we can select from that I may also take. These can be slotted into any Calling we want, but do fill a slot.
So, I'm thinking of taking these Knacks:
Lover: Soothing Presence
Sage: Presence of Magic
Psychopomp: Cracking the Egg, This Isn't Everything You Are
(yes, there is an official Knack called "Cracking the Egg")
This allows her to:
Soothe feelings in an area, though this moves things toward a calmer degree so it calms positive attitudes as well as negative ones.
Detect magical and sacred energies without needing to roll.
Help encourage someone accomplish a change in their personal state and help people breaking out of a rut.
Another thing that goes with Callings are keywords and titles. Each dot in a Calling gives the Scion one keyword related to that Calling and each point of Legend (Heroic starts at 1) you get a Title which must include at least one of your keywords. Keywords and Titles can be invoked in play to improve your rolls. There is a list of examples, but you are encouraged to make up your own. Titles especially are going to be unique to each character.
So, this is what I'm going with:
Lover: Cozy
Sage: Witch
Psychopomp: Guide, Compassionate
And for her title I'm going to go with the following:
The Cozy Gorgon
It's very simple, but sometimes that's the best sort of title. I was going to get a bit clever and try to force a "Cozy Gamer" / "Cozy Gorgon" pun in there like "Gor-Gamer" but no... that sounds bad.
So... now moving on to the next step.
Step 6 - Birthrights
This is a step that doesn't happen if you're making an Origin character, because you don't normally get these until you hit Legend 1. That said, it is possible for an Origin character to start with some Birthrights as the "Finishing Touches" step provides that option, but all Heroic characters have a few Birthrights.
Birthrights in the core book include the following:
Creatures, strange supernatural beings that can perform tasks for the Scion.
Followers, people and beings that cooperate with the Scion on the scene. (Sort of function like equipment from a mechanical standpoint)
Guides, mentors and advisors, these act as extra paths and can give you access to extra purviews and callings.
Relics, magical or sacred objects associated with you directly.
Birthrights from other supplements include:
Cult, a sort of blend of Guides and Followers, people you have a responsibility to. (Mysteries of the World)
Covenant, an oath to stand for and protect a particular place or group of people. (Mysteries of the World)
Sanctum, a holy space sacred to the character, but mainly associated with Demigods rather than Heroes, so that's at Legend 5. We'll leave that alone for now. (Scion: Demigod)
A newly created Heroic Scion gets seven dots to distribute between Birthrights. I'm doing the following:
Guide 3
Relic 3
Cult 1
I'm going to hold off on designing the Cult for now, because I might add to that rating in Finishing Touches, for the others...
A Guide comes with a name, unique stunt, and Asset skills automatically. One Asset Skill at 1 dot, and two Asset skills at 2 dots. For each dot above 2 we can choose bonus Purviews, Callings, or Legendary Titles we can use as long as we have a good relationship with our guide.
Guide - Kaitlin DeVere, experienced witch
Asset Skills: Empathy, Occult
Purview: Wild
Stunt: Touch the Heart (1-3 successes) on a successful Empathy or Occult roll involving another person, you can spend extra successes to gain an enhancement bonus to your next attempt to adjust their Attitude toward you.
In this case, her guide has taught her how to reach out to the magic of nature. Probably Kaitlin is a sorcerer rather than a scion, so the scion (who we have not yet named) and she will interact with magic differently. Since one uses magic and the other is magic. The stunt lets her navigate emotional waters a bit more easily.
Now, for the Relic.
Relic - Caduceus Tatoo
Innate - This is physically part of her.
Purviews - Health, Passion (Compassion)
Motif - Turn Poison to Cure
She has a large tattoo of a pair of entwined snakes forming a caduceus on her back. The "Innate" aspect is not a RAW option, but it has been bandied about as worth about 1 Dot on forums for a while. The Purviews in the Core book each cost about 1 dot of Relic.
When a relic gives purviews, then it requries a Motif to explain how the relic's magic takes shape. So, in this case, the magic she does through her tattoo must be themed somehow with curatives or taking something toxic and purifying it. She may also require to have poisons and toxins on hand to make curatives out of them since that's how her magic works.
Not sure I thought that through... but its very thematic to a gorgon given the whole thing about blood that could be poison or cure.
As a note, all Pantheons have an innate motif to explain how they perform magic themselves. But I'll get to that in step 8.
Yes, I know we've done precious little of the archery so far, I'll get to that later.
As a note, if someone where to somehow steal her tattoo, they'd have access to its powers. There's likely magic that can do that along with more physical means.
And again, I'll handle the Cult later.
Step 7 - Purviews
As with birthrights, this isn't something an Origin character gets. Even more so than Birthrights since Purviews require Legend to use and Origin characters are Legend 0.
In any case, a starting Heroic Scion gains their Pantheon purview and one other Purview inherited from their Patron. For this character, that would be:
Metamorphosis (Theoi Pantheon Purview)
Fortune
So, this character is a bit about fate, prophecy, and foretelling and she has the ability to transform people and things.
This means our gorgon's purviews are these:
Metamorphosis (Pantheon)
Fortune (Innate)
Health (Relic Tattoo)
Passion: Compassion (Relic Tattoo)
Wild (Guide Kaitlin DeVere)
Each of these comes with a basic innate power:
Metamorphosis: Trivial characters never see through her disguises, and she suffers no Complications for changing identity regarding height, age, gender, ethnicity, or other things. Essentially, she is mutable by nature.
Fortune: Sense Fatebindings and know who is bound to whom though not necessarily the nature of the bond. She can also tell when Prophets and Sorcerers use their powers to change fate.
Health: Once per session recovers one Legend when you successfully treat a storyguide ally (NPC) and resolve an injury or ailment condition.
Passion: Enhancement of 3 to Assess emotions in people around you. And can intuit when people have Bonds with each other.
Wild: Ignore any natural plant based hazards and gain 2 Enhancement toward stealth in areas with a lot of plant growth.
Regarding Fortune detecting Fatebindings and Passion detecting Bonds.
These are separate things.
A Fatebinding means that Fate has decided that these two people should have X relationship and it will constantly throw up coincidences to encourage that relationship. Like if the Fatebinding relates to a romantic situation, then they will constantly find themselves in situations that heighten the other person's attractiveness as a partner. If it decides they're going to be rivals, then they will constantly find themselves in competition somehow. It doesn't mind control the people involved, but does play matchmaker.
Bonds are the emotional bonds and loyalties that people have actually formed between each other.
It is entirely possible to have a Bond that seems counter to a Fatebinding you have with the same person. Like fated Rivals might really enjoy the competition and form a Bond of love between each other.
Step 8 - Boons
The third step that comes for Heroic Scions that Origin Scions can't get. Like with Callings, a Scion gains new Boons as their Legend gets higher. So let's explain what Boons are.
Purviews are the way Scions shape their magic. As we discussed earlier, each pantheon performs their magic through different means. For the Theoi the motif is:
The most high may grant their favor to those who beseech them.
Which means that in order to perform magic, our gorgon needs to call on the gods by name. As her Legend gets higher, she will eventually be able to call on herself.
The normal way this works mechanically is to RP the invocation or other motif and then perform what is called a Marvel which are improvised magical effects like creating magical attacks, placing blessings or curses, changing the environment, or otherwise performing strange esoterica.
Boons are basically specialized and more efficient applications of Marvels. These are specific applications of magic that your scion is especially good with. A Heroic Scion starts with two Boons and gains more as their Legend goes up. You cannot increase them with Experience.
To review, these are our gorgon's purviews:
Metamorphosis (Pantheon)
Fortune (Innate)
Health (Relic Tattoo)
Passion: Compassion (Relic Tattoo)
Wild (Guide Kaitlin DeVere)
We can only take two Boons.
Also, note that "Passion" is noted as "Compassion". Some Purviews imply a specialization. This includes Passion, which could be things like Joy, Rage, Fear, or any other emotion and Beasts, which would name specific type of creatures.
Boons are supposed to be powers you make up for yourself, but also you're allowed to use existing example Boons but theme them to other Purviews. In this case I'm going to re-work "Heaven's Fire", a boon from the Fire purview made to efficiently create a way to attack and re-work it into something like the Gorgon's Gaze attached to Metamorphosis. It's a bit counter to her healer's theme, but I had the opportunity to work in the gorgon gaze, so I took it.
For the second Boon I'm taking Healing Hands which allows for healing physical injuries, diseases, and other such things. This extends to mental illnesses to a degree, but the implication is it only affects conditions that are, by their nature, temporary. So she might cleanse someone of the immediate shock of encountering something terrifying, which might prevent PTSD developing but if PTSD has already set in, that wouldn't be so easily fixed. She can also cleanse magically induced mental illnesses.
Personally, my favorite thing for healing long-term conditions from Scion is a Sorcerer technique where you cause the illness to manifest as a creature which you can then beat up. So, you can literally summon your friend's anxiety and beat it up so it leaves your friend alone. The urge to beat up my mental quirks is incredibly relatable.
So her boons are:
Metamorphosis: Gorgon's Gaze (Reworked Heaven's Fire)
Health: Healing Hands
Every other Purview operates through basic Marvels. So, she could still attack via Wild, but it would be more expensive than using her Gorgon's Gaze.
Step Nine - Finishing Touches
We've come back to places the Origin Scions also do... somewhat.
First, there are some Finishing Touches that Heroic Scions have that Origin Scions don't:
Legend - Every Origin Scion has Legend 0 and starting Heroic Scions have Legend 1
Virtues - Origin Scions don't have virtues yet. Heroic Scions start in the middle of their sliding scale.
For the Theoi, their two Virtues are Egoism versus Kinship. They're a quarrelsome family but they are a family and will defend each other when it comes down to it. When our gorgon acts to support her loved ones and friends, she'll slide toward Kinship. When she acts for herself, she'll slide toward Egoism.
As a note, the virtues for each pantheon aren't a matter of good vs bad. Even with Egoism vs Kinship, there's danger in sacrificing too much of yourself to the people around you and there's times you have to act for yourself. When someone is at one extreme or the other, there are certain benefits, but it does mean they are prone to some unreasonable behavior.
Virtue is a sliding scale with five positions. For simplicity and ease, going to note that as a number from -2 to 2, but she starts at 0 by default.
We already touched upon other elements of Legend in the section on Calling (her Title and Keywords) But this brings her to:
Legend 1
Virtue: Egoism vs Kinship 0
We also determine Health and Defense.
All scions get a Bruised, Injured, Maimed and Taken Out slot, plus one Bruised slot if Stamina is 3-4 or two additional for Stamina 5. Our character has Stamina 3 so she gets an extra Bruised level.
For comparisons, mooks in this game usually are taken out by 1 level of damage and Scions require between four and six levels at character creation. For this gorgon it looks like this:
Bruised
Bruised
Injured
Maimed
Taken Out
As these are filled, they will be named relative to the condition suffered like "grazed", "twisted ankle" or "contact burn" for minor things and "broken arm" or "third degree burns" as things get more serious.
Defense is based on how the character chooses to defend themselves but will be equal to which ever Resilience attribute best applies. So this gorgon's defense will range from 3-4 based on whether she uses Stamina, Composure, or Resolve.
Now, also at this stage we get:
5 more Skill points
1 more attribute point
A choice of 2 more knacks or 4 points of Birthrights.
For the skills we're going to do the following:
As such this is what we get:
Culture 5 (Activism)
Occult 4 (Witchcraft)
Technology 2
Athletics 4 (Archery)
Empathy 3 (Stress)
Persuasion 1
Medicine 2
Integrity 2
For the Attribute point, I'm going with the following:
And that will result in the following:
Might 1
Dexterity 3
Stamina 3
Intellect 3
Cunning 2
Resolve 4
Presence 5
Manipulation 3
Composure 4
So just going to max out her Presence here.
I'm also choosing to gain 4 Birthright points and assigning them as follows:
Cult +3 (total 4)
Relic 1
The Relic is a simple one, I'm just adding an extra Tag to the basic Longbow.
Soporific Bow: Arcing, Ranged, Two-Handed, Stun
The Stun is the extra tag here and it means that this bow can never kill anyone. At worst, it will knock someone unconscious. Bows normally have the 0 point tag Lethal instead of the 1 point tag Stun.
For the Cult, I said we'd get to this later, we have a total of four points.
So, this is the cult that our Scion is part of... and I'm going to name her here as "Taylor Quinn" because I've vaguely had cozy-gamer "TQ" in mind here this entire time. To be clear, I don't know what "TQ" stands for because I'm not a friend, at most I've seen her on Desert Bus or her own stream, or follow her on Twitter. But also there is a "Taylor" who is a major NPC on the Beacon Alien RPG actual play by the Streampunks (and you'll find other names from that show in this character) and maybe a passing reference to Kathleen DeVere in there as well.
My brain is simple, while I was writing this, I was watching Beacon and TQ was being active on Twitter. So....
Anyway... back to character gen.
So, this Cult is going to be one led by Kaitlin DeVere, her witchy Guide, and one that has recognized her as a sacred being chosen by Hecate. She has responsibilities to help them and they have responsibilities to her as well. I envision this as a healthy and mutually supportive cult. Probably a bunch of people that similarly felt outcast that came together as a found family.
As a note, Cult in Scion does not have the negative connotation that it does in real life. Any sort of religious organization is a cult, even if they are religious in name only, such as doing little more than patting a statue of Hermes on the way into work each day.
Anyway, back to mechanics. Cult provides the following:
Cult 1 provides a Foundation choice of Community (1 Light, 1 Shadow), Conspiracy (2 Shadow), or Company (2 Light)
Each point beyond 1 adds either 1 Light or 1 Shadow.
Three Asset Skills related to the cult.
A single Tag
A list of responsibilities for the Scion has.
Light represents public resources of the cult and Shadow represents private ones. Each point of Light must be assigned to:
Connections - 1 point per
Followers - 2 points per
Tags - 1 point per
I'm going to say the Skills associated with Taylor's Cult are: Occult, Technology, Culture and say they do a mix of game streaming and advice on witchcraft and supernatural issues. They're associated with Hecate specifically so they're a Theoi-based cult.
I think they're a Community with both private and public elements.
The tags available are as follows:
Coven - Good at finding secrets, keeps the Scion's secrets
Guild - lets you invoke Light contacts an extra time
Family Tradition - invoke Shadow access connections an extra time
Historians - Good at finding info on enemies, very traditional
Mystery Society - Light and Shadow are tracked separately for invoking
Reliquarians - borrow relics
Social Club - Invoke Shadow contacts an extra time
Temple - invoke any access connection an extra time as long as you're physically in a temple
I think since we're starting this as a public facing streaming group, we'll start this with the Guild tag.
Assigning Shadow and Light I think we're looking at:
Community base - 1 Light and 1 Shadow
Add 2 Light points
Add 1 Shadow point
Total: 3 Light and 2 Shadow
And then I think we'll assign those 5 points as follows:
Followers 1: Stream support (Consultant, Group)
Light Access: Fanbase, the fans of their gaming and occult-advice streams
Shadow Access: Private Housing, places to stay when need time out of public sight.
Extra Tag: Coven
There's one more thing I'm going to do and that's borrow and rework a persistent Condition from the Kitsune denizen. The original condition was this:
Fox Tail - You have a tail. It is fluffy.
And the version for this will be:
Snake Hair - You have snakes for hair. They are hissy.
And that leaves the total package as follows:
Taylor Quinn - Starter Hero
Role Path: LARPing Cozy Witch
Origin Path: Suburban Gorgon Outcast
Pantheon Path: Found at the Crossroads
Pantheon: Theoi
Patron: Hecate
Legend 1
Title: The Cozy Gorgon
Egoism vs Kinship: 0

Gonna work up a backstory & information about my newest OC but I like how he's turning out so far..

btw if you ever want to check out path of titans its like 30 bucks and still in active development. very fun dinosaur game. official servers are a bloodbath with no rules but the anarchy is fun and lately ive been noticing a sort of vigilante justice popping up for if someone attacks someone else unprovoked / not hungry or kills a baby. community servers are great if you want mods or to rp as a dinosaur or to exist in an actual moderated environment.
please use my referral code linked above if youre thinking of checking it out. i want the bluejay deinonychus skin sooo bad but also the others so i would ideally like to refer four people.
considering offering Dino Art to people if they take me up on this?

I have an OC question, any girls?
I mean yes, but I won't apologize for my blatant bias towards male characters. But it's very present.
You'll like Titan best I think. She's a Warhammer 40k OC, and the daughter of an Inquisitor who settled on an agri planet with a farmer lady he liked. Titan is his genestealer mutant daughter, she was born looking uncannily human and didn't develop her genestealer traits until she was older, in direct contrast to normal 1st gen genestealers. Basically this girl hit puberty and started growing extra limbs and weird armor and huge fangs. She's also significantly larger and smarter than normal, and has some mild psyker abilities. After her parents passed away she used her extensive knowledge of inquisition tactics (thanks dad!) combined with her genestealer canniness to take over her planet and start inserting her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren into every aspect of planetary life.
Spooky South wise, the same setting Jake and basic bitch no AU Silas live in, I have Eliza, Friday, and Lillian.
Eliza is werecat James' ghost girlfriend/sugar baby. She helps both James and Silas out mostly for selfish reasons (they're hot and she want to bone them, also they get into SO much shit it's entertaining). Her attitude toward being dead is like "ooooh guess I can do what I want now >:3" and is a huge party girl and fashion diva. She's the brunette with branches and flowers growing out of her partially skeleton face that I've posted here a few times. She has notably powerful ghost abilities and can control plants to some degree as well.
Friday is the like, classic angsty monster hunter, her husband got killed by supernatural nonsense (James again) and she didn't handle it well and is basically in a very deep "dig two graves" revenge mindset. She spends basically all of her time prepping to hunt and hunting, mostly using surplus military gear, hunting gear, and sports equipment. She mellows out a little after she gets like... found family to hunt with.
Lillian, is the Found Family to hunt with that Friday gets, she was Silas' old cop partner but their paths almost completely diverged, he got so corrupt that he was bored with standard cop corruption and moved on the full criminal, and she got so bone-deep tired of official law enforcement corruption that she left the force completely. She's basically a private investigator now and works/lives with with Friday as her like... platonic life partner and they investigate supernatural stuff. Silas used to have a crush on her, but Lillian is very ace and he was savvy enough not to make it weird, it was just one more secret for the pile. Lillian (and their third team member Johnny) is the like "let's not be hasty and just randomly execute supernatural creatures" part of the team and basically took the knowledge of the supernatural existing with nothing but grace and patience.
Also I have various RP characters and character concepts that haven't been fully developed yet too so there's that.
Jennifer - RP character, a very normal teenage girl who's courier job basically got her involved in the supernatural and she cried into her iced coffee about it. </3
Ran - my Starbound character, a hylotl (alien amphibian people with a heavy japanese culture inspiration). I miss her and need to play again. She's very softspoken and kind and likes to stab things with the fart spear (toxic gas spear Q gave me that I adore).
"Mace" - in development, a mercenary who works escorts dinosaur embryos, she's got that "pathetic until she's super invested in a job and then becomes super efficient" thing going on. Ned to draw her more because I've been craving "dinosaurs and modern tech" stuff again.
Mother of Sin - big tiddy worm lady, a demon. Probably in the Spooky South setting if I can hammer her worm form down, though she's a little too fantasy leaning for the setting.
I keep trying to manifest another nasty trash dumpster girlfriend for Silas but so far nothing has stuck but it's always in the back of my mind.
I've also got monster lesbians but they're loose concepts and more just for drawing for fun. Plus some designs that need developing.

Welcome!
Hello world! My (pen)name Nesdya Tisdale, or you can call me Nessa. I am the original blogger for @newtsmagicalcase but since that was a secondary blog I have decided to make a new account here where I can reply to all comments and interact with you more freely without outing my personal blog. Below are a few facts about myself and this blog.
Here is a little about myself, my pronouns are She/Her or They/Them unless I'm talking through my MC's which I will do. I find it fun to let our characters have a voice of their own and answer questions/talk to their fellow classmates. I love music, games, anime and movies. My favorite anime at the moment is Attack on Titan, the current Manga I'm reading is My Hero Acidemia. My taste in music is very wide ranged. From K-Pop to Classical, even Opera and all the way to hardcore Death Metal. My favorite game is World of Warcraft (Hogwarts Legacy coming up close at number two). You'll notice my MC's have WoW surnames or names that I've borrowed from World Of Warcraft. It's like my small little tribute to the game that made me such an avid gamer since 2004.
I love to write but haven't done so in quite a while, so if I seem rusty please forgive me. This blog is where I will be posting screenshots from Hogwarts Legacy as well as little fanfic's of my OC's and their time at Hogwarts that the game doesn't show you, all the way through the paths they take as adults. I will not include graphic mature content until, obviously, our beloved characters are of age and out of Hogwarts. Of course that does not include things such as kissing, hand holding and innocent forms of affection, but as for smut, that will wait until I reach a part in their journey where it's appropriate and obviously of age. Underage witches and wizards can use magic outside of Hogwarts in my world, but smut is off the table.
I'm happy to include your own OC's in my writings and will write scenarios for your characters with my own. If you'd like to have your MC added just submit me a photo/screenshot of them and/or detailed description so I can be sure to do your character justice. Again I'm saying... I will not write smut for underage characters at all!! No exceptions! Please be respectful of that.
I do take requests for scenarios and headcanons for any characters in the game as well. Here is my main rule, a rule that I will not take lightly if broken. If you are a minor please DO NOT interact with any posts that will clearly say "MDI". If I find out you have, I will block you, no questions asked! That is to protect myself as well as to protect you! It will also take me time to get to all requests since I work full time. I will schedule screenshots to be posted throughout the week but any fic updates will be mostly on the weekends (unless queued otherwise I will be sure to announce it) when I have time. So please be patient with me!
Also if you want to talk directly to the MC's here you can! Just submit/ask and just say something like "This is for Lucian" or "I'd like to Azuren to send me an owl" whatever character you'd like. A bit of RP for the fun of it! So have fun and act like five people run this blog. LOL!!! I'll introduce you to them soon! Also a Tiktok to follow of gameplay scenes to fit the stories.
I desperately want everyone to be safe! Also if I happen to write something that makes anyone uncomfortable, please let me know and I'll correct it immediately! I don't want anyone to feel excluded with my writings either. If I do something upsetting to anyone of a different race, faith or anything please kindly correct me! I may be in my 30's but that doesn't mean I cant still learn and grow to be a better person/writer! I can still honestly say I can be ignorant to things that are natural for me that are not for others. For example:: when I'm embarrassed, my whole face looks like a tomato, not everyone has my complexion so when making a Y/N post, I wouldn't want to add that. I want to make things as inclusive as possible where everyone is safe and respected! Especially for my trans and people of color friends!
Well that's it for now! Have fun and enjoy my posts!
~Nesdya
I DO NOT MAKE ANY PROFIT OFF THIS BLOG! THIS IS JUST FOR FUN!!!!

Path of Titans Nat Hist kill comp! Tossing together a comp of all the kills and meals I've gotten in my time back on Path after a quick break from the game. Well not all, haven't photographed or recorded a few of them, but still, this is a good portion of what I've managed.
The server I play on is called Nat Hist, I'm on both the regular semi-realism server and the Ecology realism RP server interchangeably!
