Painted portrait I did of my oc Teioron last year to test out a new brush. Her horns always trip me up... they're actually flat, like a ceratopsian's crest? But I never feel like I've been able to draw her in a way that really communicates that.

Maybe I'll make a clay model of her head for reference once day, and that'll help.

Hiiii I bring some color genetics headcanons for slugcats except I don't follow them strictly and instead use them as a rule of thumb

Dark morph: dark body, light eyes. recessive

more genes = more vivid colors

dark morph scugs become dark, vivid colors

the effect on dark colors can be really intense

(Artificer's family) Artificer is dark morph, high saturation. Her pups are both light morph with high saturation. They carry dark morph.

(Monk/surv family) The white parent carries saturation genes, but isn't apparent. Monk is the evidence lol

i'm rerearding the new prophecy and i feel like it would make more sense if mistyfoot was in the fox trap, not firestar. they set up this big clash between mistyfoot and hawkfrost and never used it. there was a bit of conflict between brambleclaw and mistyfoot as well. it's more believable imo that brambleclaw would hesitate to save mistyfoot, compared to saving firestar. also, once brambleclaw had secured his deputy position, surely it makes more sense for hawkfrost to secure his?
