The diver swam through the water with mere ease as he was enjoying the scenery, however, he soon realized that things were a tad bit different. Odd, he looks around then venturing on his way at a somewhat shocking speed. He swiftly rose up then dove down much like a penguin, excellent navigation skills as well as brilliant dodge times.

He didn't notice that he might have triggered a nearby alarm, he just continued on his way as he was nearing a strange structure of sorts.

Atem blinked twice before bringing a hand up to cover his mouth as he laughed. This man was truly something else. To the average person, they would think he was boasting. But that was just it. He was, but in the most modest way possible. The best part? He might not even know it. How could a man such as the all powerful Seto Kaiba just calmly say things like that to ease his worried heart? Atem just shook his head and looked back at the jet. 

“You may think it is silly, but the last time I was in that jet, things didn’t go so well.” recalling his time he had runned off a building with Kaiba into it just to have it crash to the ground moments later. He took a moment to look back over at the taller man, his eyes on stunning blue ones. 

“Is there anything you can’t do?” he teased before laughing softly again, licking his lips unconsciously. 

“Also…” he started, recalling what he had mentioned earlier about having particular tastes.

“Besides Mokuba of course, who else has ridden in that jet? And- what makes me worthy of it?”

Atem took note of Kaiba’s eyes on their hands. It was a simple gesture, but not one that didn’t go unnoticed. Was the taller man not used to physical touch? Given his circumstances it was probably true, not that Atem was any expert in the field himself. The Pharaoh was glad that their skin on skin contact was something Kaiba didn’t necessarily shy away from. He half expected the other to dismiss it completely, but to his surprise he has opened up to it. That reassuring thought was enough to make his heart swell. 

Moments later Atem was caught off guard in a surprise. Seto Kaiba, the richest man in all of Domino, and probably the greater part of the world, didn’t have sutors? People fawning over him? Well, given who he was talking about Kaiba didn’t really give off that type of charisma. He was harsh, blunt, and cold to some, but for Atem, Seto Kaiba had always been a rival, a friend, someone who pushed him to do better. To be better than his present self. And now Atem might even call him a lover. He raised an intriguing eyebrow at the thought. 

“I surprisingly find that hard to believe. But I suppose that is rather good news for me.” he simply said with a smile. 

“I don’t think I’ve ever tasted such a dish before. If it is something you enjoy then I would be happy to try it.” Atem would be lying if he said that he wasn’t excited to try out new food. Sure all the burgers and japanese style food he had eaten in the past was great, but something about a food picked out by Kaiba himself made him almost giddy. 

At that moment Atem looked out the window of the lavis car and noticed a bright blue eyes jet coming into view. Sure he had seen the jet many times before, but this time he’d be riding inside it. He wasn’t scared, no that wasn’t the right word. Nervous. Yes.

punishing gray raven but it's just the postapocalyptic rpg run by a very determined Luna for her younger sister and her friends. Chapter 1 to 8 is their shaky start to getting used to the system before they hit their stride, Luna gets better at narration, and a couple very weird dice rolls lead to wild story adaptation.

Taigen is so funny. Like literally he hates Mizu so much. Calls him a dog, wants to kill him for taking his honor and being better than him. But also follows him into certain death and says “hey!!! Hey hey!!! We have a contract!! Only I’M allowed to kill you!!! So I’m going to stay by your side and protect you because we have a DEAL!!!!”

I've seen headcanons of Phoenix Wright having heterochromia; either due to him being born with it or due to head trauma via fire extinguisher in AA2. They often come with headcanons of why he'd hide them with colored contacts, of course.

But I haven't heard anyone bring up the headcanon of Phoenix's eye turning blue because of Dahlia's bottle pendant.

First off, the poison Dahlia used had possible side effects including loss of pigmentation and eye damage. This is evident in Diego Armando's hair turning white and vision problems.

Fun fact: blue eyes aren't caused by blue pigmentation. In fact, they have little to no pigmentation at all. The blue we see is just light reflecting weirdly until only blue light is all we perceive from them.

Secondly, the poisoned pendant Phoenix ate in Turnabout Memories was empty at the time, but the risk of it containing leftover traces was very real. He even chewed it, raising the chances of those traces entering his system.

Diego had a significantly higher dose than Phoenix, but let's not forget Dahlia had faith that 1 contaminated pill of Cold Killer X would do the trick. Even if there was less than a drop remaining in that bottle, it had the potential to at least do some damage.

Damage that could result in the loss of pigmentation in someone's eyes.

Lyney could tell by looking at the other's eyes that they were similar, he got the realization that the man he and Lynette talking to must have a sibling as well.

He sighs before keeping his sister close, holding her in a hug to assure that everything will be okay.

"We understand Sir and to be honest with you, we're not exactly sure.

We were performing our latest disappearing act until a bright light suddenly swallowed us whole and we ended up here without a clear reason given, I thank you for apologizing for your actions moments ago as you see, my sister isn't used to touch due to unspeakable past events.

Please understand her boundaries when she shows stress towards a certain action, she has already been through enough trauma."

He spoke as he kept her close, bowing his head to the man as he will allow them to study him if need be it, however, he will stay by his dear sister's side to ensure her safety no matter the situation.

As soon as he watched the man tugging his sister's ears and a distress noise sounding out, he quickly moves in front to protect her as she did for him.

His eyes lighting up with a hellish flare as slit like pupils could be noticed, his teeth gritting to reveal needle sharp teeth, much like fangs.

"I said you could study us but not forceful like that! I don't care if you don't believe us, that gives you no right to argue with my sister for something she was born with!"

He finished speaking, glaring at the ceo before tending to his sister, hugging her close to soothe her pain.

i do think it is fascinating how ready taigen was to sacrifice himself. there's almost this inherent suicidality to it, how swiftly he is to offer himself up as a human shield or refrain from divulging a single word about his "rival" to the enemy, despite not knowing mizu for very long and with this veil of supposed resentment over the entire relationship. taigen seems to want to martyr himself so badly and i think that comes from his need of honor. when he goes to warn the shogun about the impending invasion, he emphasizes at least twice that they can kill him once he tells his message. it's not a case of hear me out and then decide to kill me- it was a hear me and then kill me right after

taigen never seems to expect to live in the face of attempting to do something noble, as if a selfless deed requires the ultimate self-sacrifice in the process. he literally throws himself into the fray for mizu despite having been so heavily tortured that his fingernails were gone and he was so wounded and weak he could barely stand. taigen wants to die so badly for someone, he wants to have that honor of giving his life to save a life, and i can't help but perceive some kind of suicidality in that kind of reckless, brave cause. i think as well that goes directly in line with the idea and practice of seppuku, which we actually do see one of the lords do when fowler reached the shogun. so it makes me wonder if taigen, had he had the chance before he was captured, would have tried to kill himself to not only avoid torture, but to relieve himself of the shame of being defeated, left behind, and then rejected by the same samurai he saved/tried to sacrifice himself for not hours before

Fuckin. The reason Owen has asthma is literally because his real self is buried alive suffocating and his mom is the one who reminds him to bring his inhaler when he’s a kid and next time we see her she’s sick and then she’s dead and when Owen watches the finale he’s wheezing and projectile vomiting and his dad springs into action to drown him further and when it’s the final act his lips are severely chapped from overuse of the inhaler and he keeps trying to inhale from it but it’s not working and he just keeps wheezing loudly keeps trying to make this all work he knows why it isn’t he’s dying she’s DYING he ends the movie apologizing to everyone and still wheezing

Having thoughts about Blue Eye Samurai and desire, like this whole entire show is about wanting. Desire is presented as a means of self-awareness and self-knowledge. Who you are is someone who wants, and turning away from your secret lusts is an act of self-deception. It's turning away from your *self* and therefore putting you at war with yourself.

But we also see desire as a tool. Your desires wielded against you, your desires the means by which others can access and gain power, your wanting opening you up to be used by the object of your want. Knowing your desires means someone knows you in ways they can use, if your desires are overpowering enough to make you so singularly focused on them.

And yet muddled desires or misdirected wanting opens one up to aimlessness, to time and effort wasted, to being a piece in the game rather than a player.

Desire is a clarifying, motivating purpose. Recognizing your true desire gives you direction and momentum and moves you from passive reactivity to action, to agency. Singular, overwhelming, crystalline desire for revenge powers Mizu through every challenge. It is the source of Mizu's strength and when it is known it is what allows Mizu's enemies to set traps, to counterplan, to escape when otherwise they'd be caught.

Feel desire. Feel it strongly and deeply and powerfully and with overwhelming force. Feel your desire in every step and breath and moment, until it's all you are, and never show it until you absolutely have to, until you can't hold it back anymore and it explodes out of you.

This show is insane.

"No, my words are nothing but all truth Sir and these are my regular clothes as it's my Forest Watcher attire. Not a fantasy character's...cosplay if that is the word you describe it, such a odd word I must say. I'm terribly sorry if my words here sound a bit unorthodox."

He finished speaking, bowing his head a little in respect.

Tighnari was intrigued by this strange new world that seemed to have large structures, flashing lights and lots of sounds filling his ears as they twitch. 

His tail swishing slightly as he then perked up to someone speaking to him, his eyebrow raised a little as he then spoke, confused by their words.

“…ummm….Fantasy novel? Sir, I’m afraid I have no idea what you are talking about as my ears and tail are in fact real, right down to the bone. Please, don’t be alarmed as I mean no ill will to you or anyone.”

He replied, holding his hands up slightly to show that he had no weapon as he looked at them.

“…Are you kidding me?” First was Yugi with his absolute nonsense about past lives and Ancient Egypt, and now this guy who looked like a jackal? He swears it’s like the world itself was playing a massive prank on him from how unbelievable this really was to him. 

“Alright, listen, if you’re actually some kind of dog creature and not some elaborate cosplayer, why are you dressed like a fantasy character?” Just to make his point, Kaiba had tapped a sign written in Japanese discussing the latest light novel release of a fantasy story.
