I will keep fixing this thing until it is more patch than fabric. It took far too long to make to quit now.

Two bugs I embroidered by hand! I want to make more of these because I LOVE the way they turned out and they make great patches! The crying blood moth I gave to my girlfriend recently.

"Get identified nerd" 🪪⚙️ I might make a YCH with this idea some time if the motivity mosquito doesn't get me. 🦟🦟🦟 buzz buzz (Patch Work⚕️🧵)
vvv Rambling Explanations: vvv
Designed a Stable-Tec logo; lots of the logos I've seen don't scream MLP FIM to me, it's not so 'fallout shelter' and more 'wings hoof and horn' with the bonus of bad luck for foreshadowing.
The F.O.O.T.S. [Fresh out of the stable] gang comes from stable 35, why 35? Because it just feels like a good stable number, 35, yeah no real or hidden reasons.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Number: 5-3-7-3-10-3-9. He can endure a lot, he's an egg head, and he's lucky to be alive but he can't see, speak, or skip to save his life.
Doctor Horse: Medical perk to perk the medical and a reference to the Doctor Horse from the show.
Steel Hooves: Prosthetic leg adds some damage resistance and agility, and again fun reference. Might change name later on.
Twin Telepathy: From the womb to the tomb, bonded since day one; It's like they can read each other's minds... yummy alliteration.
Stable Filly design, based on Vault Girl rather than Vault Boy since in MLP feminine imagery is what dominates, might change her up to look more like the CMC logo pony in future since they are Stable-Tec.
Overmare Cup o' Joe, she be Stable 35 overmare... and Patch Work's cousin once removed on his father's side, but they just call her Aunt Joe.

This is a sample that I constructed using different type of denim to create a patchy sample effect that I could possibly use further in my project and could relate it to the brain. This was a plan out picture to see how they could be placed and stitched up before sewing them together.

Patch Work [Owen/Natasha] Continued...
@idontseehowthatsapartyx Continued From Here

"And I appreciate that; pretty sure my two brothers would come looking for a fight if I died, especially my older brother," Owen said when she told him that he'd live to fight another day, then not to mention there was Ember, who he knew he was falling for but couldn't bring himself to actually admit it. "So thank you, and now that you mention it, I haven't eaten since yesterday morning, so lunch on me."

I think a lot of people's advice for selling commissions as a fledgling artist really skims over the fact that selling commissions is like. 90% customer service.
as a small sampler of examples, to sell commissions you have to:
be approachable and professional when advertising and selling your work;
have a clear and understandable terms of service that is either provided or easy to find;
set personal boundaries for what you will and won't draw, AND be able to enforce them, AND be able to do this without explaining every possible reason you have for not doing something (you can Just Say No.);
communicate clearly and often frequently to know what your clients want and ensure you're following their expectations;
be comfortable asking questions about those expectations, and know how to ask for clarification if something is described in a confusing way;
take accountability for mistakes, miscommunications, or delays;
be able to refuse to work for people who are exploiting you without feeling guilty;
manage payment information and receipts in a timely and organized manner (PLEASE use invoices rather than direct transfers)
like everything about selling art is its own post of advice really (I could go on for ages about advertising, and that's not even something I do a lot of) but a lot of people just. overlook the fact that as the artist you are providing a service and you do need the basic skills to provide that service or you're going to run into issues.
