Things I wish I saw more of in the SIX fandom

imma be honest most of these are about Kat

Okay so first and foremost Katherine's unhinged side, like I get it I know we all love our kitten but like hear me out she can be such a b**** when she wants to. And I say that with complete adoration because that's absolutely my favorite part of her character. Like her introduction is literally just her roasting every other queen and it's incredible! Not to mention her Sarcasm is absolute peak "Now all I want to do is thank all of the POWERFUL MEN who got me to where I am today!!!" Like she's just so iconic and it low-key makes me sad when I read a fanfic and she's like not funny at all? Like I get it she's had it rough but please don't always takeaway her ability to look back on it and not exactly "laugh" per se but at least slowly let it affect her less.

Okay two, Kat in college. "But Jae there are already tons of college aus" I hear you cry. However I said KAT in college not SIX in college. Allow me to explain. Howard is undoubtedly the youngest queen having died at 18, leading me to imagine her between the ages 18-21 coincidentally the perfect age of a college student. Meanwhile however, the other queens seem to be a bit older by a few years so having Kat go to college not only gives you an excuse to highlight the history nerd part of her personality, but also if you're an angst fan like me you get a chance to explore how she carries herself without the other queens.

Uhm for number three honestly just more aramour content like they are officially my OTP of this fandom and simply make me happy so... yeah, just aramour, especially in the aus where the kids come back like it'd be interesting for any of the kids to realize like "OMG MY MOM IS A HOMOSEXUAL" like bringing kids from the 16th century to the 21st century is just always going to be silly no matter which way you spin it so yeah.

For number four hopefully like the queens getting out the house more often lol. I'd love to find more SIX chaos fics, half the time they only go to the stage and go home like that's so boring put them in a trampoline park or something. Or on a similar note like them just getting away from each other like they live together, work together, eat together, sleep together, at some point they must get a bit agitated right? Like I've only been home for summer 2 weeks and these people are already starting to drive me insane lol.

Are there any period dramas you’re looking forward to in 2024?

Hiya,

I will split this into two lists.

Returning Shows:

Being a Penelope girl I am looking forward to Bridgerton Season Three for what I call my soft period drama fix.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Marie Antoinette for what it was so looking forward to the show returning for a second season and how that goes.

Vikings Valhalla season two felt very stale for me apart from Godwin and Emma (oh and Cnut but he needs to be a leading man IMHO), I am waiting with trepidation if it delivers in its final season which I think is a waste because I wanted to see it go to 1066.

The Serpent Queen do I need to say anything more, that show was a f**king hoot and produced by The Hunger Games sequels and prequels director (who also directed Britney's Slave 4 U video btw) it met my expectations.

Being a Tudor girlie I have to obligatory say Wolf Hall but in my honest opinion only for new portrayals of Anne of Cleves and Kathryn Howard (I am not a Thomas Cromwell girlie).

New Projects:

Firebrand being the #1 Catherine Parr girlie I cannot wait to see a new production of her and how they handle her story. I am also looking forward to a younger Catherine than what has previously been portrayed.

King and Conqueror, it is a new show with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William the Conqueror and James Norton as Harold, Earl Of Wessex during 1066 (so answering my Vikings: Valhalla wishes) produced by CBS and BBC (CBS owns Showtime). No official release date yet but I am into it. X

My Lady Jane, now Queen Jane Grey has become a fast favourite of mine so anything with her in it I am there.

Dick Turpin with Noel Fielding as Dick, now the Horrible Histories fan in me is squealing (why no Matt Baynton though?).

Mary and George, I feel the Tumblr girlies are going to go miles with this and I just want to see what it is about y'know be part of the fun.

So today is my two year anniversary of having this account and since college just started again, I didn't have anything planned for this so I quickly made a couple of things last night/earlier today of some things for my mc's/oc's.

On a serious note, last night's show was so amazing! I've been waiting for five fucking years for it to come here and they finally came!

I'm just going to post my ramble summary below

I almost laughed when they asked if we have heard of them on the history channel, I'm pretty sure a good portion of the country probably don't know who Henry VIII is, let alone his six wives-

It was so funny when Aragon tapped on her earpiece when asking Henry if he had anything to say-

Boleyn's Wearing Yellow To A Funeral ended off with her nearly saying 'cunt' and I love how that term was used because it can easily be cut off and the audience can just fill in the blanks

Seymour... Well, I've never been a fan of her song but the vocals killed it-

Haus of Holbein was absolute chaos and it's really amazing! I think its success can also be attributed to the music which was really loud and you can feel it in your bones-

Cleves' Get Down really said 'fuck this I have money and a fancy house and horses and-'

Absolutely loved how Howard's voice wavered towards when the hands touched her during Henry's bit, and her having an absolute meltdown from Thomas' connection reveal onwards was just 🥰

Parr... today was the first time I actually listened to her song so...

Was a little disappointed that Aragon's 'okay' didn't really change much tone-wise which made the emotions that she wanted to show fall a little flat if I didn't have prior knowledge of the musical though

As for Boleyn's Don't Lose Ur Head, it would've been nice if she was a little more explicit with the double-meaning when saying that Henry 'liked her head'. Then again her moves were very X-rated so it was probably easy enough to assume what kind of head Henry liked-
