Revenge

Someone had to stop King Henry VII, your father, from his increasingly brutal reign. Lady Mary, your half-sister, seemed unable to do anything without the counsel of her precious Ambassador Chapuys. Elizabeth was of course just a child, too young to rule. Edward was a mere baby. It seemed to you that the responsibility of saving the realm fell solely on your shoulders. It was a burden you were glad to take.

You were grateful that you’d had enough time being raised by your mother Anne Boleyn, that you had learnt how to be as cunning and manipulative as she had once been. Of course, having Mary as an older sister helped solidify those ideals, as Mary was able to inspire a great deal of loyalty in others when she wanted to.

It had been a long, arduous task to slowly turn the King’s courtiers against him. An entire year had passed before the perfect opportunity had finally arisen. Only two days had passed since poor Queen Catherine Howard had been executed on your father’s orders. Though you hadn’t been the greatest fan of the silly child, she was just like you… an innocent girl. Too many young women’s lives had been destroyed on the whims of an undeserving King, and the unrest among the populace seemed at its highest. It was the perfect time to strike.

The foundations you had laid throughout the year, telling little white lies here and there, promising things that you’d never do in order to gain the loyalty of the courtiers, would serve you well. The King had noticed some changes but could never trace them back to you. Often you would have agents loyal to you do the work that needed to be done while you were at home with Elizabeth in the country, creating a wonderful alibi.

Knowing that the King seemed to be favouring Catherine, the Lady Latimer, as his potential sixth wife, you realised that she would be the perfect distraction for your coup. You knew she wanted to be with Thomas Seymour so she would be likely to help you, especially as you had always had a good relationship with her growing up. Elizabeth, of course, was easy to manipulate into playing the part that you needed her to.

You dressed in your most regal black dress, deliberately picking out jewels and a French hood that made you look like a true ruler. You took a deep breath in and out to try to calm your nerves and your trembling hands before you went into the court. You gave a subtle nod to Catherine Parr who, along with Elizabeth, went up to the King to talk to him and distract him.

As soon as the King had begun discussing something with them both, you gave the signal to your loyal people who captured his guards and those you knew were still loyal to him, discreetly dragging them away.

You gave a sly, satisfied smile as you secretly prepared your weapon behind your back. You knew that your father’s greatest fear was getting sick, so you poured a poison on your blade before walking up to him, curtsying, and then holding the blade tightly against his throat. “Y/N! What is this?!” King Henry asks incredulously, clearly not believing one of his daughters could pull this off, his face grew white as he saw all the people loyal to you with their weapons drawn.

“I am now your Queen. You will take orders from me, and no one else.” You call out to the people in the court, who begin to cheer. You smile smugly to yourself as you see your father’s world crashing down around him.

“Why, Y/N? Just… why?” You give an incredulous laugh, sneering at him. “Why, father? For my mother.” You lean forwards, your breath touching his face as you snarl your words.

You turn to your guards, and give a sweet smile. “Throw him in the tower.” You command, pushing your father towards them. You sit on the throne, looking around at your successful coup. Allowing yourself a few moments to gloat in your glory, you immediately turn to your advisors. The Queen had work to do.

A/n: I went to see SIX [The US Tour Boleyn Cast] once, and now it's my new hyperfixation. You can kinda tell who my favorite queen is

It's very rare that the Six wives would 'propose' to a Lady in Waiting while touring. First of all, there's only four of you. Second, they're singing to compete for who had it worse with Henry VIII after all.

You were a part of that "Ladies in Waiting" Band, interacting with the Queens between shows was difficult for you, especially. To at least catch the attention of the Golden Queen: Catherine of Aragon.

But seeing how she was always bitter about her divorce with Henry VIII, you just kept your feelings to yourself

It wasn't like you were King Henry VIII's younger sister

You often like to be by your lonesome between shows. To practice even more before the evening show.

That was... Until Catherine of Aragon began joining you on your extra practice sessions.

You also helped her in any way you could with her solo No Way.

You slowly opened up to the idea of enjoying someone's company.

She would often be the one to bring the both of you lunch while you remain behind.

One day, you made the decision to go with her to a lunch outing.

You underestimated how fun it is to be around people. Catherine of Aragon showed that to you.

Right before the evening show, you began unraveling how you felt about her, to her face

Catherine of Aragon She is a protective and good mother for you. She adores you to the end. She is very afraid that something will happen to you. She is very careful about your health. It will ensure you get the best education. She is protective of you. She takes care of you himself. She loves spending time together. She wants you to be happy and healthy. You are the only thing that matters to him. She does not neglect to pamper you.

Anna Boleyn She is a possessive and jealous mother. She does not agree to share you with others. It will pamper you to the end. She will do anything to ensure that you ascend the throne. It takes precautions for your safety. She likes to adorn you with expensive and luxurious clothes and jewelry.

Jane Seymor She is a soft and loving mother. She spends all his time with you as much as he can. She's worried about you. She panics when you leave her. You are always a baby in his eyes. She is trying to make you happy.

Things I wish I saw more of in the SIX fandom

imma be honest most of these are about Kat

Okay so first and foremost Katherine's unhinged side, like I get it I know we all love our kitten but like hear me out she can be such a b**** when she wants to. And I say that with complete adoration because that's absolutely my favorite part of her character. Like her introduction is literally just her roasting every other queen and it's incredible! Not to mention her Sarcasm is absolute peak "Now all I want to do is thank all of the POWERFUL MEN who got me to where I am today!!!" Like she's just so iconic and it low-key makes me sad when I read a fanfic and she's like not funny at all? Like I get it she's had it rough but please don't always takeaway her ability to look back on it and not exactly "laugh" per se but at least slowly let it affect her less.

Okay two, Kat in college. "But Jae there are already tons of college aus" I hear you cry. However I said KAT in college not SIX in college. Allow me to explain. Howard is undoubtedly the youngest queen having died at 18, leading me to imagine her between the ages 18-21 coincidentally the perfect age of a college student. Meanwhile however, the other queens seem to be a bit older by a few years so having Kat go to college not only gives you an excuse to highlight the history nerd part of her personality, but also if you're an angst fan like me you get a chance to explore how she carries herself without the other queens.

Uhm for number three honestly just more aramour content like they are officially my OTP of this fandom and simply make me happy so... yeah, just aramour, especially in the aus where the kids come back like it'd be interesting for any of the kids to realize like "OMG MY MOM IS A HOMOSEXUAL" like bringing kids from the 16th century to the 21st century is just always going to be silly no matter which way you spin it so yeah.

For number four hopefully like the queens getting out the house more often lol. I'd love to find more SIX chaos fics, half the time they only go to the stage and go home like that's so boring put them in a trampoline park or something. Or on a similar note like them just getting away from each other like they live together, work together, eat together, sleep together, at some point they must get a bit agitated right? Like I've only been home for summer 2 weeks and these people are already starting to drive me insane lol.

Uhm that's mostly it I might like use some of these in a fanfic but more likely then not I won't be able to focus enough to make the long format ideas I want to make out of this so yk.. oh and if you have any short promts to like piggy back over whatever this is feel please tag me so I can read it or send me an ask so I can write it myself.

The Teal alternate curse

Here we are, back again with the second instalment in this trilogy x Within my time of being in the six fandom, I've begun to notice a strange, consistent pattern with actresses given specific alternate costumes. It seems that (if given this costume) the actress wearing it is open to more situations arising concerning them. Be it emergency covers, or early departures, all matter of situations have befallen these queens. In the case of the teal alternate, Many actresses given the costume appear to have a difficult time acquiring Swingo, if at all in some cases. Whilst not as active as the "Orange" alternate curse, this costume has still claimed a number of actresses over the years, ultimately reaching a grand total of 7 victims!
