The hill I will die on is that Emmrich is assertive to sassy Rook when he's had enough of the teasing and and flirting and pushing his buttons.

And he will most definitley pin Rook against the nearest surface in private and say things like "Such a wicked thing you are. Whatever shall I do with you?"

Then proceed to absolutely drive Rook mad because he would 100% use his knowledge of anatomy to know where to touch and press without ever giving Rook what they want until Rook is a breathless mess and when they inevitably make some noise or say his name he pulls back to observe his work and say something like,

"Yes, dear one? Use your words."

this is HEAVILY inspired by the skull of mary magdalene, which is mounted in a statue

the dress is inspired by celtic dress

the patterns on the armbands are the same as the patterns on roemont's robes, since they're a basic traditional pattern in the parish

her cape clasp has a tessalated fishhook pattern

one of her eyes is growing out on a stalk :]

the way her body is portrayed as changing is very much the same as how i draw stanton's body changing

i really like the timelapse because you get to watch my thought process in her transformation and it kinda looks like she's transforming in real time :D

i remember it being mentioned that besides fishhook piercings the Parish also has some recognizable tattoos, so now im imagining them getting the linearized map of the White Gull inked into the inside of a forearm because you know tide and flesh and the flow of both blood and river all that good stuff. and then over the life the tattoo can be personalized with markings of where you or your family were born and where you went on pilgrimages and stuff

Can't stop thinking about Faulkner Siltverses...After all he went through, all his scheming and manipulating, all his self aggrandizing, i'm not even sure he'll be remembered...Who will pass down his story? Certainly not the legalized parish, trying its best to move on from schism that nearly destroyed it. Certainly not the legislatures, who did their best to blame his atrocities on an unrelated scapegoat. Certainly not his own followers, who are either dead or trying to forget the madman that gave them false hope. Not Sibling Rane or Sister Thurrocks, dead by his hands. Not Brother Flicker or Brother Fade, dead for his cause. Not his enemies, the Katabasians, all killed for his ambitions. Not his sister, perhaps the last one who would have told his story, but her life was cut short before she could.

This man gave up everything, broke a faith in two, killed thousands of people, and for what? Who will even remember his name? He'll be little more than a footnote in the newly sanitized Silt Verses. A charismatic fool. A boy who thought he was special.
