By the time Ajax had found a clean pair of matching socks, his phone had buzzed a few more times. He scanned over the messages with a dumb smile on his face. Hed ask himself if it were normal to get a little giddy over a girl he didnt really know but he also spent a stupid amount of time trying to find her and acted insane when he bumped into her so he was certainly finding out a lot about himself.

Parfaiteria Bel...? No, he had no clue what or where that was. But that was probably for the best, if he didnt know then none of his team mates or coach would know either. At least he hoped so. He had his scholarship to think about.

Ajax felt a moment of panic, it wasnt like this was actually a date and really first impressions had probably been thrown out the window. Nonetheless he was quick to dry his hair properly, style and accessorise himself as he usually did, throw on a jacket and leave.

After a map search and about 20 minutes of getting lost, Ajax finially found a small cafe with the name Parfaiteria Bel. It was cute and a little girly, pink being its main colour motif, the pastries in the windows looked mouthwateringly good and he realised how hungry he was, he hadnt even eaten when he came home last night.

When he pushed open the door, a little bell rang to signify his entry and his nose was hit with what his eyes had already seen, the sweet smell of coffee and treats pleasently filled the air. A barista acknowledged his presence with a smile and then got back to doing whatever he had been before hand, afterwhich the ginger looked about to spot her face. She wasnt hard to spot, the cute blonde sat in the light of the window. Just be normal, Ajax.

He returned her greeting with a smile, walking towards her and sitting opposite. He laughed at what he presumed was a joke despite the accusation he was reading on her face. "You invited me, remember?" Observing the way the dessert fell apart he realised he probably wasnt in the mood for sweet.

"Dont worry," he chuckled at how over protective she was for a desert. She looked like a petulant child, reminded him a little of his siblings when they refused to share. "I'll probably grab something else, im starved." Ajax reached for a menu, scanning quickly through it, he wasnt sure what to expect but it probably did make sense that a pastry store didnt have anything savoury. Never mind.

The barista approached and asked for his order, "a black coffee and-" he looked over the guys shoulder to see a cake on the counter. "Carrot cake, please." He turned to his company, "did you want anything else? Or are you content guarding your parfait like your life depends on it?" He joked with a smile on his lips. Damn he was nervous, but he felt like he was playing it off well.

"So, how are you?" He smiled kindly, genuinely -despite his nerves-, he was happy to see her.

Finding her shoes had been an easier task compared to her socks hunt, luckily she did not own many pairs and only one type of trainers.

She felt her phone buzzing in her tote bag, her brow raising ever so slightly as she pulled it out to read the next texts that had come through.

So he could be bold. Huh.

She grabbed the keys from the floor, dangled them on her index before she shut the door behind her and made sure to lock it.

Or well not all the time, one night stands did not count...

[text] but you're lucky I have run out of food and I've not had breakfast yet [text] Ever heard of Parfaiteria Bel?

She looked at the time, it should take 10 minutes from the campus to get there. She was really craving for Parfait and that was one of the best coffee shops in town.

[text] I'll be there in 10

She really was going to meet him then, if he was going to show up of course.

The sun was warm on her skin as she left the building, she had not seen the sky being that clear in some days.

She didn't know what to expect and in all honesty, it was unclear to herself why the hell she had put herself in that situation. Entertainment? Boredom? Definitely not for a free lunch deal.

Lumine was sitting by the window, her spoon already digging into the ice cream. She almost felt guilty to destroy the piece of art the barista had done, however the raspberry bunny head that sat on top of the cup was begging her to be eaten. It was a new delicacy on the menu, raspberry gelato, strawberries and other ingredients she had not even checked before she had ordered it. Of course she had to try the newest and most adorable Parfait.

The door rang and she spotted him straight away.

He came. Ajax.

She almost dropped her spoon halfway, but was quick to recover and shove the spoon in her mouth. Should she wave? Now that was awkward, but she could not run away now. Her hand raised, in a half wave.

"Is it my impression or everywhere I go, you follow me?" she put down the spoon, her face dead serious.

"I will protect my parfait with my whole life from your evil deeds." she went quiet for a couple of seconds before she could not resist anymore and had to dig back into her dessert, her face relaxed again, her eyes content at each mouthful.

"It's the best stuff in town, you definitely need to try one yourself."

Back in June, my friend Mia invited me to Birthday More, a small adorable café recently opened by two lolitas. We then walked to Parfaiteria Bel in Shinjuku to have their famous parfaits. Since it was in the middle of the afternoon during a week day, there was almost no one there. (See extra pictures on my Instagram post) On our way back to the station, we saw those very pretty hydrangeas on the side of the street and took some photos. It was at the end of a long hot day wearing a mask, so excuse the tired makeup. For outfit and makeup details, see my previous post.
