I need fluff, so I guess I gotta make it myself. Lol.

Beta parents doing tons of research when they find out that their pup(s) are gonna be Alphas and or Omegas. Like literally getting so many books and supplies that would benefit them in the long run.

Alpha and Omega parents treating their Beta child with as much love and attention as they would with an Alpha or Omega child.

Alpha taking their pups out, but the Alpha making an adorable and big show outta it.

I'm a sucker for a family coordinating outfits with each other. NOT MATCHING, THAT'S LAME!

I feel like there is a lot of respect and boundaries between parents and pups. There's a lot of wordless communication as well. Seeing as Omegaverse is often depicted as a smell/pheromone-based world, parents are really acute to what is up with their pups.

Sounds are just as important in Omegaverse. There are specific noises that pups make that give parents an idea of what their child wants. Grunts, whines, purrs, etc. They also specific from family to family.

I really love the thought of Betas being super parents to their kids, like yeah I know Omegas are stereotyped to be the perfect parents, but a Beta doing the same if not more? Them becoming the really loving, dorky, and cool parent when their pups are older? I'm exploding.

Nesting family time? Please, I'm crying.

This one is gonna be random but there are so many photo and video services. In my headcanon Alpha/Omega couples tend to have multiples, so they'd have so many physical pieces of media for each of their pups growing up.

I think I mentioned this on another post, but sometimes some nesting items are passed down to pups.

Family and pack are a very vital part of the Omegaverse. So I can imagine a lot of time off for parents or guardians. Parent day at school? Pup day at work? Paid family leave? Maternity and or paternity leave? Slay.

There's a HUGE market for momentum boxes. Pups crafts? Hair clippings? First tooth? First scented item? All go into a very protective and fancy box for the pups.

Lots of classes for mommy or daddy and me. Them doing little activities or learning new skills.

Another post about unpleasant omegaverse scenarios in my au because I'm a downer I guess. Today's episode is on abuse in families and partnerships so cw for that.

Growling (effects and implications)

I think growling and snarling are pretty big taboos in most (western) places and it's usually completely socially unacceptable. Depending on the scenario it's seen as juvenile at best or dangerous at worst.

The sound of growling can cause a range of responses depending on age, sex, and dynamic. Pups and children are most affected by it and it can cause them to respond with intense fear or anxiety. As people get older it becomes more likely for them to respond with aggression. It's most frequently seen in alphas, but all dynamics can react this way. When coming from someone stronger or a caretaker like a parent or an older pack member, people might also respond with placating or submissive behaviors like making themself look smaller, whining, or even putting off a calming scent. All these effects are part of what makes it such a controversial behavior.

Parents growling at their children is looked down upon and is seen as tactless while children growling at their parents is worse than cursing at them, and the older you get the worse It looks. When pups and kids do it it's seen as an impulse to be corrected (like biting) but the older you are the more immature it is.

Some parents with less stringent rules who are more informal with their kids growl at their kids and their kids growl back at them in a more casual context, but this behavior is almost equally looked down upon by most. In some cultures, it's normalized and sometimes encouraged to growl at children to keep them in line and so they "know their place".

In relationships between family members, pack members, and mated pairs, growling can be used as a manipulative weapon. It's unfortunately not uncommon to find instances of people using it to make people fear them or do what they want.

Pups have weaker growls that get progressively more developed with age, and pups growling at each other isn't that big of a deal. It's seen as normal pup behavior for the most part, but some parents punish their pups severely for it, seeing it as disrespectful. Overall it's seen as more normal in alphas; growling beta pups and especially omega pups are seen as abnormal and can even be cause for a doctor's visit to some. Though excessive growling and aggression can be signs of certain illnesses or traumas, all dynamics are equally capable of the behavior.

It's healthy to give pups outlets to use and grow into these... subvocalizations? Growling. Purring also. Because if they're constantly subdued and stifled it can result in them growing into people with less control over these sounds who growl at every agitation or presumed danger.

The K-drama continues playing on the television until Iwaizumi picks up the remote from the table to turn it off. Now, only the soft hum of the ceiling fan can be heard as Hajime gazes at Tooru, fast asleep on the couch. His lips curve into a tender smile before he sets the remote back in place and crouches down beside the sofa. Lovingly, he watches his husband's peaceful face.

Tooru is lying on his back, head tilted slightly on the pillow. His bangs are pulled back by a headband, and his glasses sit slightly askew. Iwaizumi carefully removes them, folding the arms of the glasses before placing them on the table. His cheeks are gently flushed, and when Hajime softly brushes them with his knuckles, he feels the warmth. His lips are parted, his breathing calm, his chest rising and falling in a slow, steady rhythm. The room still carries the familiar blend of their scents: Tooru’s vanilla and peach intertwined with Hajime’s traces of sandalwood and pine.

But he knows that soon there will be a hint of baby powder in that mix.

Hajime’s gaze drops to Tooru’s stomach, peeking shamelessly from beneath his faded NASA shirt. One of Tooru’s hands rests there, over the five-month bump cradling new life—their little puppy.

With care, Hajime places his own hand over the rounded belly, his fingers brushing against Tooru’s. Gently, he rubs his thumb across the skin, feeling warmth coil tightly in his chest at the simple truth that they really, really, are going to be parents.

“Our little princess,” Hajime’s sweet smile widens as he leans down to press a soft kiss near Tooru’s navel. “Grow strong and healthy, okay? Thanks for letting papá sleep so much—maybe this will finally help him get a decent sleep schedule.” He whispers against the skin. “But don’t give him too much trouble, alright? It’s enough that he can’t wear his favorite shoes anymore because his feet swell too much.”

Then, just beneath his palm, Hajime feels a kick, as if their daughter is responding to him. He blinks in surprise before letting out a soft chuckle, planting another kiss right where the kick had been.

But, a moment later, Tooru’s hand twitches, and a soft whimper pulls Hajime’s eyes upward just in time to see his husband stir lazily, slowly blinking open his eyes with a delicate frown. Fucking endearing. Tooru’s sleepy gaze meets his, and his expression softens.

“Why is it that she always has to kick so hard when you talk to her?” He murmurs, his voice husky as he rubs his free hand over his eyes to wake up.

Hajime’s smile grows wider as he gently rests his cheek against Tooru’s pregnant belly.

“Because I’m her favorite dad.”

“You wish, Iwa-chan,” Tooru lets out a laugh, clear and beautiful, and Iwaizumi thinks (not for the first time) that if there is a limit to how much love one can hold for a person, he has long surpassed it with Tooru.

I Want You To Want Me: Part III

Steve was persistent he’ll give him that. He thought he’d get bored by now but it was now month 3 of his pursuit and he seemed as determined as ever to win him over. Eddie didn’t know how long he could keep fending him off for. His resolve was honestly crumbling with each visit. Steve had memorized his schedule and came to the country club every day he worked. He’d even started bringing him expensive treats. Eddie was honestly flattered by his efforts so he decides to invite Steve over to dinner. He wanted to see if he could nip this in the bud and was curious how Steve would react to his world. Eddie figured he’d take one look at the trailer and go running back to his rich Alpha suitors. The thought made him sad but he was confident that that would finally make Steve lose any desire to be mates. He was surprised that Steve seemed thrilled and excited by the invitation. He kept asking what he should wear and if he should bring anything which Eddie thought was really cute. It secretly made him soften even more towards him. Wayne however was shocked he’d invited a Harrington into their sacred space. Neither one was a big fan of the clan up until that point but Wayne decided to trust Eddie. If he’d invited the boy over, there had to be something special about him. Steve arrived promptly at 7 on Friday. He’d brought with him a pie from Wayne’s favorite diner which Eddie had offhandedly told him about one day while he’d been distracted at work. He didn’t think he’d remember. Eddie could tell it's already scored some points with Wayne but that didn’t mean he’d go easy on him. The first hour of dinner was awkward. Steve seemed misplaced sitting at their counter eating from their mismatched plates. He could tell how nervous Steve was because he was talking a mile a minute to try to fill up the silence. His hands moved rapidly as he explained how he accidentally flushed Goldie the goldfish down the toilet when he was three. In the middle of his impassioned story him and Wayne exchanged an amused look with Wayne raising an eyebrow as if to say: You sure he’s a Harrington? It was pretty shocking to see this side of Steve. They’ve only ever saw Harringtons being suave and charming. It helped crack the remaining ice especially when Steve mentioned sports. Steve’s extensive knowledge on the topic certainly came in handy. Suddenly his usually stoic uncle was chatting with Steve like he was already apart of the family. He knew Wayne definitely liked him though when he made Steve promise that he’d come over on Wednesday to watch a big basketball game together. Eddies plan certainly didn’t go how he expected. Maybe Steve isn’t such a long shot Eddie thought as he walked him to his car. He was still trying process what happened at dinner so he was mostly silent during their brief walk. Somehow though as they are saying their goodbyes they end up kissing. It was better than Eddie had ever imagined and by his scent Steve enjoyed it too. He watched Steve drive away feeling hopeful for the first time ever that things would work out.

Hi there! I have seen a lot of omegaverse headcannons in tumblr and i realized that pups are only talked about when they are kiddies, however, what happens when they turn into adults? Do their alpha/omega parents till have the same the same bounds of protectiveness around them or that same instinct decrease when the pups are indeendent and self-sufficient? And do the pups's bond around their parents change as they grow up, mature mentally and realize that their parents are way of a person more than just "protectors"? What are your headcannons at this?

Im asking this because imagining an scenario in which a full grown and buff alpha that is super stoic, tough, serious and protector in public and work but at the same time is still hyper cuddly and lovey-dovey when it comes to their omega parent is hillarous to me, specially due the size difference lol (and sorry if there are grammar mistakes, einglish isnt my first lenguage)

All children will eventually - either happily or unhappily learn that their parents are no more or less human then they themselves are.

A good parent will always feel protective of their child and wish that their child can feel safe enough to feel child-like around them, even when they have become old and grey.

Your alpha is normal and must have a wonderful relationship with their omega parent to let down their walls like that when they are together. If this dynamic was in a story I was reading I would love to see a time when the roles might reverse and your alpha stepped up for their parent and allowed them to feel safe in return.

one of my favorite things to play around with, in omegaverse? changing what something "usually" means.

family = parents and biological children in a shared household?

not any more its not!

family = a group of friends who share a house together like they have for years, even after forming partnerships with others or having kids

family = a queer platonic couple, the kids they adopted (despite being able to procreate together if they wanted to), and the neighbors that are like siblings to them

family = three generations of parents, children, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who might as well be family, who rally around each other in good times and bad

family = two lifelong best friends who went from playing together as kids, to raising families, to growing old, while becoming the cornerstones of their neighborhood

family = one big old polycule spread across multiple households, and the assortment of kids who have called them aunties and uncles from day one

family = a happily single person, their pets, and the network of friends that they feel safe going to whenever problems are bigger than one person should carry

family = a couple, their newborns, the siblings who help out, and the grandparents who are first in line to babysit

family = a single parent, their kids, and a very robust support network

family = a group of people who care about each other but aren't compatible when it comes to sharing a home, being very supportive - just from a distance - with or without other elements

and the fun thing is, you can slot any type of person into these setups!

make the two best friends look like the default "boy meets girl" rom-com pairing but with zero sexual tension.

make the people who sound like the most stereotypical suburban family, incredibly queer visually.

want your packs to be multi-generational households by default? go for it!

want to explore belonging beyond the nuclear family or the quest to create one? sure thing!

it gets even more interesting based on the social positions of the six sexes.

(in my head: primary sex = alpha, beta, omega. secondary sex = male, female. to keep from having to list them all, its "six sexes" but in some settings there can be more or less)

for example: what if there's a society that separates alphas and omegas as a general practice? it's the task of all omegas to run the towns and villages and see to their defense; alphas, on reaching presentation, are trained to watch over the land and tend to the region as a whole. if the two groups tend to mix mostly with those they share a classification with, how do their family groups appear?

or what if the society is arranged less like our human ones, and more like specific animal groups? if your packs operate more like a bee hive, how does that change their view of family, future generations, and group membership?

basically: there are lots of types of families, even irl, so making packs unique is more fun to me than going "parents and their kids" despite that being the most accurate to actual wolf pack structures

(though, since that structure isn't super typical to how we show families in media, i do kinda want to explore an established one! just not super interested in the "couple meets and raises their first baby" part because there's already a lot of focus on that as what "happily ever after" looks like. i want to get into how the following generation finds meaning and sets goals without doing as their parents did)

hi! thank you for your question. for the sake of others, dam = birthing parent and sire = non-birthing (biological) parent. so with a/o parents, the alpha is the sire and the omega is the dam.

i think just like all parents, there is definitely an adjustment period— but it isn’t made more difficult by being an alpha. when a pup is born, their first interaction with their sire is being scent marked and claimed into the pack. (between alphas and omegas, this interaction of ‘present the pup, claim the pup’ is an instinctive drive. with betas, the interaction is reproduced as a cultural norm and/or to support their alpha/omega partner).

alphas’ strong protective drive is a boon to their families. they form a strong emotional bond with their desired pup(s) before birth and display protective behavior to ensure the safety of both their mates and their unborn pups. just like all parents, alphas can be doting, overly indulgent, and permissive at times.

in the case of alpha step-parents (and all step-parents, really) when they are joining a dam and their pup, there is an adjustment period. ideally, the step-parent and pup would be comfortable together before marriage. it is essential for the step-parent and pup to form strong emotional bonds. a pack’s strength, happiness, and health all depend on firm emotional connections between its members.

and yes, sometimes a distressed pup will choose their sire’s (or step-parent’s!) scent over their dam’s. all children sometimes prefer one parent to another at times, whether we understand why or not. perhaps one parent makes them feel safe from storms, while another makes them feel safe from strangers, so they seek that scent over the other. the rejection of one parent’s scent is almost never due simply to that parent’s dynamic sex in a healthy pup.

this situational scent preference has been observed in pups as young as two to three months old. some scientists theorize that scent preference may occur because a pup instinctively seeks to be covered in their parents’ scent. and scent preference extends to pack, with non-parental scent preference beginning most frequently around 12 to 15 months of age. sometimes nothing will soothe a young pup but being scented by that one specific pack auntie or pack sibling.

Omegaverse Dynamics for…. Dungeons & Daddies: Odyssey!

Spoiler warning for Season 1 of the podcast! PLEASE don't spoil Season 2; I'm only on episode 5!!!!!

Summary:

Biblically Accurate (AKA if the cast were to choose the dynamics themselves): Darryl alpha, Henry omega, Ron beta, Glenn beta, Jodi alpha.

My personal hc's: Daryl omega, Henry alpha, Ron beta, Glenn alpha, Jodi omega

My Reasonings:

Darryl: Obvious choice here is alpha. Despite having a very small arc compared to the other dads, Darryl had leader/main character energy. However, you cannot deny that Darryl "stay at home dad" Wilson, Darryl "mom friend" Wilson, Darryl "I just found this child in a Chuck E Cheese and will protect him with my life" Wilson is QUITE omega coded. Darryl is a mom who happens to be a dad.

Henry: Due to his mom friend energy, the obvious choice here is omega raised by a beta mom/alpha dad. I could see Autumn as an alpha too tbh, but I somehow don't believe Barry would've wanted the equal-ish standing. The cooler answer is Henry's a beta, who always struggled to connect to his father once he presented. The even cooler answer is Henry's an alpha. In that case, Henry would have the constant reminder that he is Barry's heir in every aspect, and would be constantly fighting against the instincts he saw growing up

Ron: honestly, any dynamic goes. No matter what, his dynamic will be yet another disappointment to Willy. I think Alpha Willy with Beta Ron is the most canon-compliant choice, given that Ron has to try harder to be a parent to Terry Jr. (that feels very beta coded to me). If Terry Sr. was not a beta, or had the same dynamic as Terry Jr., Ron's self doubt would triple. But I'm also entertaining the idea that Ron presented as an alpha/omega to parent himself after Willy died, which somehow resulted in the opposite effect (ie being a man-child).

Glenn: My vote for most canonically accurate is beta raised by a beta. It's the same logic with Ron, in not having that natural "instinct" to take care of kids like Henry and Darryl. Glenn is difficult because he isn't necessarily trying to be as evasive and emotionally closed off as he is; he's just been raised like that, and believes he had a good childhood all things considered. I think his final confession to Narcolas was important, revealing that he'd been providing for Nick in secret this whole time. That's why I want to argue alpha Glenn. Shitty, shitty alpha Glenn who passes very well as a beta from the weed covering his scent.

Jodi: whatever would contrast with Glenn best, because that's the funniest answer. In the canonical sense, that'd probably translate to him "one-upping" Glenn by being an alpha (so BGlen/AJodi or AGlen/AJodi). But Jodi personally radiates omega energy to me??? Despite EVERYTHING ELSE in my bones telling me he's an alpha??????

How did Stellar come into existence?

I'm still work shopping it, but I'm not a huge fan of omegaverse nor do I headcanon Sonic or Shadow as trans/being capable of carrying a child. Of course, those are totally wonderful ways to explain how a child might come about!!! I've seen tons of cute art/fanfics depicting both!

BUT I was thinking that Stellar would be a secret attempt by the government to try and create a fusion of Sonic and Shadow for their own benefit. Basically an attempt at doing Project Shadow again, but this time using the existing research and some DNA from both of them. A perfect fusion between the ultimate life form and the fastest thing alive, but under the military's thumb. Thankfully, Shadow would get wind of it, destroy the lab, and rescue infant Stellar.

I imagine he'd be pretty furious seeing they were trying it again, and would be enraged they created another life form just to be a weapon. He'd see a lot of himself in her right away.

If course, he wouldn't know what to do with her. He doesn't know the first thing about babies, nor anything about how to parent. So he'd decide to talk to Sonic about it, especially since she would share just as much of his blood as Shadow's. Sonic wouldn't be a perfect parent either, but he'd be a helluva lot better than Shadow (at least at first)!

I don't think Stellar would be linked to my situationship AU, she'd be her own separate thing. Sonic and Shadow would both be at a stage where they are friendly—but not close— when Stellar arrived. It'd be the act of trying to care for this new life form that is technically their biological child that would drive the two of them closer.

Kinktober day 22

Steven grant, Marc Spector, and Jake Lockley + omegaverse

This is written in headcanon format, since I wanted to write about all three but couldn’t think of a way to involve all of them beside headcanons.

on the shorter side, but im still learning how to write omegaverse.

Kinktober 2023 masterlist.

Omega, but not the stereotypical omega. Hes fine taking care of himself, and isn’t weak or easily ordered around. Steven just likes to avoid conflicts, Marc and Jake wont back down from conflicts though.

Steven is an omega, so is Marc, but Jake is an alpha.

Physical body is omega, so even when Jake is fronting their body is still an omega, but Jake is immune to things like other alphas scent or when someone tries to scruff him or force him to submit.

Marc is mostly immune too, only buckling to you, his mate, but that’s because hes chosen to do so cuz he loves you.

Steven does enjoy making a nest in their bed, or wearing your clothes to cover himself in your scent. Marc doesn’t really make nests as a trauma response, and because he doesn’t feel as much of a need for it as Steven, he will bundle up some blankets though if he really needs it.

Steven’s scent is sweeter and milder than the other two, as I imagine their scent changes depending on who is fronting. The core smell is the same, but smaller changes happens so you can easily tell them apart, where others might struggle to do so.

Since their physical body is of an omega, they go into heat, but they tend to leave that to Steven since hes the only one who doesn’t despise it with his entire being.

Being in heat is uncomfortable of course, but Steven also enjoys it cuz it allows him to be taken care of by you and lets him put down his walls. None of them want pups though, so they always make sure to use protection.

Marc might front every now and then during heat when Steven is too exhausted, letting himself bask in his omega needs for a bit. Make sure to not treat him too stereotypically like an omega, he needs you to be rough and in charge, yes, but he will bite you if you try to scruff him or anything like that.

When Jake fronts during heats he just feels uncomfortable and very sweaty, so if he even does front, that’s when he showers and changes the sheets. That’s also when you can rest, as he just wants to cuddle and watch a movie or something.

Sex with them depends on who’s fronting. Steven likes to be taken with some power behind your thrusts, but he also loves slow and passionate lovemaking. Hes also the only one who liked being knotted, even if it won’t lead to pups.

Marc likes having some more power during, so he will ride you like a wild horse, growling and barring his teeth, making sure to scratch at your chest and leave hickeys all over.

Jake likes to do the fucking, be it bending you over the kitchen counter or up against the wall in the shower. He may not have a knot, but if you ever bought him a fake one to wear, he might bust right then and there as hed pounce on you immediately.

Your relationship would never lead to pups, as none of them want to get pregnant or would want you to carry. I just don’t think they’d be comfortable being parents, closest you’ll get is a pet, as they don’t wanna put an innocent kid in danger cuz of their night job.

This doesn’t mean your relationship is lacking anything though, as you guys find other things to find joy in, in your love life. It takes some time getting used too, but after a while it just becomes the norm, so no matter what others think you guys are happy.

The omega stereotype is craving carbs and sweet foods, specifically because of what they're like after heats. Most energy during heat is depleted, so in order to get their stamina back they have to eat all of carb heavy foods

The alpha stereotype is craving tough or crunchy foods, because of their ruts. With biting instincts ramped up they tend to want things that are harder to chew through. It's like the equivalent of putting a live cricket in a spider enclosure because they want the stimulation from hunting their food

Carb and protein filled foods tend to be stocked in most houses. Especially filling carbs. Families are typically very large, with multiple generations all living within walking distance or in the same house. Keeping dense foods stocked is important to keep everyone fed

Pups in particular tend to have slightly stricter diets because their stomach isn't built for handing some foods until at least their preteen years

I think that people would tend to name their kids after items that smell good, their favorite foods, other family members, plants, and religion

I also think they'd be a fan of situational names as well as generational names

For example, have three kids, one being named Sunday (situational, born on a Sunday), Suzie (maybe a pack members or a family members name), and Sumiya but her nickname is sushi, and all of the names starting with "su" makes the names generational.

You could even expand on that and have all the packs kids names be something like suki, sumirah, summer, summo, ect. Giving you a quite literal generation of names. (<- my family did this ! All the girls names end in "ah" and all the boys end in "en or on")

I can also see a kid being named something like Foxglove, Cedar, Jasmine, or even something like Honey or Teatree, because that's what the parent's mate smells like

I think calling an omega a "slick dripper" or a "slick house" is uhm... Not exactly a slur but it's not something you should say.

I think that married betas and omegas are told they are "Collared". It's typically derogatory, but there are exceptions. I think the alpha equivalent would be "Bitched", which is basically always derogatory

I think some people call betas "baren" or "scentless". Once again, not a slur, but definitely something close to it lol

There's two different notable styles of home. There's a regular house, and a pack house

Pack houses don't have too much of a difference, but they are larger and tend to follow similar layouts. With one floor being taken up with giant meeting rooms and similarly size kitchens, as well as at least one bathroom with either a huge tub or multiple small ones. In my personal au I use prime omegas and prime alphas, but they're just titles for the leaders of the pack. Even then, modernly they aren't doing much leading. It's more event planning, pupsitting, tie breaking lol, things like that

Your primes do not have to be mates or anything. It's just about who's the most reliable and level headed. Oftentimes, anybody who stays home for most or all of the day falls to this roll by default

Collars aren't typically worn outside casually. Typically they have a cause. Whether it's newly weds, protests, covering scent glands, or some secret 4th thing, they typically have a purpose.

Honestly this whole section would need to be it's own post for me to do it justice tbh

Clothes that "trap scent" are pretty commonly worn. They're made of a light but thick fabric that cinches or cuffs around the scent glands and they often comes in matching sets. This is especially common in omega targeted gym wear, but there are sets made for everyone

Gift giving is very important. Specifically, giving food is very important (I am biased, I am a very food orientated and motivated person). Giving someone food they don't like by accident is alright, but if you know they don't like it, and give it to them? Disrespectful.

So I'm semi familiar with the Christian Bible, I grew up going to church (<- religious trauma haver). You know how a lot of people draw Jesus as white even though he very much wasn't ?? Yeah I think people claim Jesus was an alpha, but he was a beta and there's overwhelming evidence in the Bible to show he was beta and people just ?? Ignore that bc they want to lol

Some people are born with animal features, some aren't. The place you were born in + your parents (and maybe a little plot relevant magic lol) determines what type of features you get. People who live in deserts or next to mountains are often born with horns or scales, while tropical and temperate climates tend to be born with more feathers and furry features

Heat blockers/suppressants as well as rut blockers/suppressants can only be prescribed by doctors. Giving them out or selling them can land you in prison post haste, but they're also so hard to get your hands on that the market of people buying them counterfeit grows everyday, despite the complications and risks

Blockers and suppressants can lead to fertility issues as well as immune issues, particularly in omegas, but don't count out anyone with ruts either, it's just less common. Lots of people on blockers are immunocompromised

Scent/pheromone blockers on the other hand, are much easier to come by, especially because they sell patches right over the counter. Though, if you wanted a much more discreet pill you would need to get those prescribed as well. It is particularly hard for omegas to get them prescribed, as usual

There is always that distinctive scent lingering on you, the smell that you try to explain but your vague ability stops you from pointing it out precisely. It must be strong if your nose can pick it out. So misty, cold, and incredibly familiar. No matter how many times you wash the school uniform and scrub your skin red, it comes back the next day, at what time you can never point it out, however, it's evident that it's from school.

Gin is all-natural through and through (except when it comes to his hair), and the perfumes often irritate his sensitive nose, same with sweet-smelling shampoos and body wash, he believes that they are artificial smells that stain people's true character, he has also found that those who use fake odors have many insecurities to hide, be it their second gender or their natural aroma is an unfavored one in society, it does not bother him, but he has never favored deceit. Gin believes that his smell is quite pleasant, probably influenced by all the time he and his family spent hiking when he was a pup. It reminds him of the scent of rain, petrichor was what the doctor called it when he presented. A compliment that his brain only remembered because of the correct adjective used to describe his recently discovered asset.

He remembers it all too well, the overwhelming mix of raw and false fragrances in his middle school class, packed in a classroom with no windows open. He couldn't help the scrunched nose showing on his face every day, trying to find clean air to breathe without the biological chemicals burning off his nose, for the first time in his life, Gin could clearly express his emotion all thanks to newly flowered instincts and his personal preference. It was a shame it had to be distaste. As a pup, he dreamed of having long limbs to hike with, cross the rivers, and climb on rocks without his father helping him, but if this is what it's like to be a grown-up, smelling all the smelly smells that smell bad or good, he would rather be a pup forever.

His keen hearing and eyesight are no match for his sense of smell, but now he could pick out his parent's residual odor on the school campus, hours after they've left.

Maybe it was his bias that made him favor Betas more than Omegas and Alphas, the natural and soft undertones in a society full of suffocating chemicals were liberating for Gin.

His nose was able to smell the uplifting aroma that you contained, weaker than ever hidden behind countless scents. It stayed like that between you and Gin, him enjoying your smell from the other side of the classroom while you took notes and never glanced in his direction, your nose is weaker than others, never truly being able to sense the intense pheromones swirling around.

His communication is not the best, however, he does not care enough to improve it anymore. Some view his nonchalant attitude and simple words as a negative trait. He wonders what you will think of it.

With a bag tossed over your shoulder, you stroll the chilly hallways, getting closer and closer to your destination. But just as you are about to grab ahold of the handle to open the door to the classroom, it harshly unlocks itself. An unexpected occurrence makes you softly jump on your feet before even noticing the figure standing on the other side, staring down at you with a curious tint in his round eyes, he casts a shadow on you.

``Oh I'm sorry, I didn't expect anyone...`` He says.

``It's okay...`` There is not a lot to say about him, even if you are his classmate, you don't know much about him and are not planning on knowing. As you make room for him to pass, you can feel his shoulder press against yours before he finally frees the entrance and walks away from the class. It was a confusing experience, but nothing to note of.

Gin figures that his favorite activity is scenting, his mother and his father were the first people he tried to scent, and kept their scent on him as an eleven-year-old pup up til the last year of middle school.

He is aware that leaving his pheromones on your clothes isn't the best strategy, but neither is leaving his scent on your skin while knowing nothing of you. He hopes that maybe he can change that, perhaps you will recognize that the cold smell comes from him.

Gin is a person who listens to his instincts, it's a skill needed for his beloved hobbies, however lately as you come to school without his scent, the active feeling of annoyance is hard to miss, he wants nothing but to drag you into his bed and cover you with himself, until your nose smells nothing but him on you the whole week, til someone can't differentiate Gagmaru from you. Gin wants nothing but to become one with you in those mornings. It's a shame he can only touch a part of you "accidentally" for it.

He wonders if his scent ever comforts you.

Gin will always find a way to scent you no matter what, so you might as well stop trying to clean it and start seeking him out since he is the only one whose scent matches with the one clinging to you.

The nonchalant alpha has never taken any bait thrown his way, so when his classmates start looking judgemental of his actions, Gin never remembers their words, he has already answered them once and Gagamarus don't like repeating themselves.

Maybe that's how you got to the bottom of your situation, rumors and rude words about him flying through the school until they finally got mingled with your name. So that's all he had to do to make you approach him? Hmh.

You speak so calmly when he left no roundabout way for you and made you go straight to the point.

You ask him to stop scenting you?

He likes you, maybe even loves you.

You don't believe in love at sight?

That's okay, he'll make you believe it.

The next day he puts his plan to work and brings only the best snacks for you to enjoy during lunch. Try to be nice after all, it's his first time courting someone.

It’s the end of A! Eddies paternity leave and he knows he’s going to miss his little family a lot when he goes back to work. He makes Steve promise that he’ll send regular updates about himself and their daughter throughout the day because he doesn’t want to miss anything. Steve is thrilled to do so and sends tons of pictures, videos and texts during Eddie’s shift. Eddie will call home too when there’s a free moment so that he can hear Steves voice. Usually though he’ll opt to work from home so he can be with them. The job is only ten minutes away anyway so if they need him he can be there in a flash. However he made it clear that his family is his priority.

This seems especially important for modern settings...if it's "like the current time, just everybody has a dynamic" then there's no reason why cultures meeting and mixing shouldn't be a thing.

Show the differences between the protagonist's views on relationships versus those of their hopeful partner's, due to them being raised in different areas. It can come up in conversations around physical or emotional intimacy, family planning, or sharing a home. Do they have different ideas of what these look like?

Maybe your omega comes from a background where nests are built and packed away every day, and their beta partner keeps watching in confusion or concern, because in their upbringing a nest stays put if the omega is happy.

Touch on the culture shock of a rural alpha moving into a big city and trying to fit in among peers who interact with each other differently.

Writing omegaverse coffee shop au? Why not have background characters who speak other languages, or have clothing that signals their religion, or varying family structures, or a variety of races? Same kinda stuff you might see at the grocery store or your local cafes.

It doesn't have to be a story about multiple cultures to have them appear.

Fanfic might be tougher to create space in, and it's very possible that it won't come up in the story if the canon characters didn't have such differences. But in totally original settings, I don't see why not, you know?

(which honestly might explain why the handful of existing titles I've been considering tossing omegaverse at, are all ones with multiple races or species present already... source didn't go into the different cultures? that means I can't contradict canon by adding stuff I think is interesting!)
