Oikawa: oh good
Iwaizumi: yeah she cried a little but quickly calmed down

some safe-for-work headcanons regarding how they might of gone about having sex for the first time for some of my favouritr haikyuu ships:
daisuga: look you know these bitches had it scheduled. not like a meticulous planned thing, but it was definitely something they knew was going to happen in advance. Like they talked about it, agreed they both wanted it, and then 3 weeks later Suga's parents go away for the weekend and they know like a solid week in advance that their "hang out" on Saturday evening is basically exclusively so they can have sex. They're very prepared. This also probably makes that week of training super annoying for the team bc they cant figure out why their captains are being SO overly giggly like you are seventeen/eighteen year old men wtf is going on.
iwaoi: i've always thought they were probably way more nervous than any of their friends assumed and definitely did not have sex as early as people thought. like mattsun and makki both constantly tease them in a way that insinuates they're actively having sex but they probably didnt actually do it until like... the last few months of high school. They were both just nervous! Iwa was very afraid of rushing things and doing it "wrong," and Oikawa wasnt even sure what doing it "right" would be so they had like 6 false-starts before they actually managed it.
ushiten: dorm living is not condusive to intimacy so when for the first time in like 8 months since they started dating that they have a confirmed evening with a locked dorm alone they end up making out for just a crazy amount of time. Tendou is too nervous to actually move anything forward because he's too anxious over the possibility of rejection but he keeps making these weird half-insinuations like "haha I cant believe nobody's going to be back for another four hours... we could do anything and get away with it... isnt that so funny... like nobody would know if we were making out or having sex or just reading a book... haha... isnt that crazy... me and you..." and he's all weird and twitchy about it until Ushijima tells him he doesn't think the idea of them having sex is crazy at all and then it is on immediately.
kuroken: highkey, kuroo probably lays out like a whole romantic, corny ass evening with candles and rose petals and is prepared to have a whole long conversation about being "ready" and Kenma just sort of rolls his eyes and is like "have you finished talking? this is Too Much. I need you to understand this is Too Much. Oh my god I love you but WOW." (it works anyway and Kenma is sufficient wooed).
tsukkiyama: this one might be a little out there but I genuinely think they're the most likely to have it happen by accident, or in a spontaneous moment of opportunity. Like they both intend to just take advantage of the empty house with only a bit of making out and then suddenly they're losing their clothes and it's like "we'll have a conversation about it tomorrow, im sure."
kagehina: okay this one is more stupid but I imagine after they've been dating a while Hinata is like "you know what, im ready to take the next step" but Kageyama cannot read ppl so Hinata's somewhat obvious attempts at seduction go entirely over his head, and Hinata is getting increasingly frustrated and dramatic and trying really really hard to get Kageyama to realize what he wants and it ends up causing a fight between them because Kageyama thinks Hinata is being weird and Hinata thinks Kageyama is being intentionally distant and eventually Kageyama blows up and is like "Oh my god if you want to break up or something just say so!!!" and Hinata is like "Oh my GOD I dont want to break up with you I want to have sex with you!!!" and of course that shuts everyone up and unfortunately Yachi is probably also there and wants to die.

Birds of a Feather
Teen for language (?) | fluff, long distance, confessions
for @haikyuuaction & @blithering-ming
When Hajime Iwaizumi was exactly one month old, he got terrifyingly ill with pneumonia.
Everyone around him thought for certain he was going to die. Even his parents, well known for their optimism, were beginning to resign themselves to their tragic fate, collecting up his clothes and toys to be put into storage so they wouldn’t have to look at them if the worst happened. It seemed to be truly in the hands of the gods, unable to be influenced by any human power – and, just as suddenly as it had come upon him, the pneumonia left Hajime and allowed him a full recovery, ten days after he’d fallen so drastically ill.
It wasn't for another five years that they would find out that this miraculous recovery occurred the day Tooru Oikawa was born.
------
OR: Hajime and Tooru are always on the same page, but after moving across the world from each other, it's getting harder to see the lucky coincidences they used to be famous for. But this is iwaoi after all - even 5000km can't shake their bond, and all it takes is a love confession to prove it.
When Hajime Iwaizumi was exactly one month old, he got terrifyingly ill with pneumonia.
New babies are often fragile, crying over every little thing and liable to be hurt by something even as small as a temperature change. The dust and germs that adults forget about invade babies like tiny, evil soldiers intent on revenge. In this case, a sudden summer chill that no-one thought much of struck Hajime down with serious illness, leaving his parents and relatives floundering. He’d been declared a ‘strong, healthy and heavy baby’ by his midwives, not likely to catch any of the common sickness most children are afflicted by, so this bout of coughing and spluttering left everyone on a knife edge, waiting to see what would happen.
“What a coincidence,” laughed Mrs Iwaizumi when she heard about it.
“A lucky one,” her husband agreed, and ruffled Tooru’s hair, chuckling at Hajime’s scowl.
It was not the last time Tooru and Hajime produced a lucky coincidence, though perhaps it was the most drastic. It was these odd, fortuitous coincidences that governed their lives: being placed in the same class throughout all of elementary, getting into volleyball at the same time, catching chickenpox from the same kid and being allowed to convalesce together, receiving their first confessions within a month of each other, being added to Aoba Johsai's starting lineup on the same day, discovering a shared love for horror movies the minute they turned on their first one (which, of course, they were watching together). These endless twists of fate kept them together, kept their destinies intertwined, until there was nothing in the universe that could separate them.
Perhaps, therefore, it was only natural that they would both decide to move across the world in the same year - only this time, in opposite directions. Hajime would go north, to California and to higher education. Tooru would go south, to San Juan and to professional volleyball. Perhaps, for once, destiny had not been on their side; perhaps, for the first time since meeting, they would separate. Perhaps it would be forever.
"This should be more dramatic, shouldn't it?" Tooru observed, with a little nervous laugh.
"No," said Hajime, resolute. "That would make it worse."
They stared at each other, washed out and artificial in the LED airport lights. Tooru looked close to tears. Hajime felt close to tears; he hoped it didn't show on his face.
"You look like you're about to cry," said Tooru. How could Hajime forget? Tooru read people for a living, and Hajime had been his first subject.
"I'm not," Hajime lied.
They continued to stare at each other. Tooru fidgeted with his bag. Hajime couldn't think of anything to say. Words didn't come naturally to him like they had at the end of the spring prelims.
"You'll be okay?" Tooru asked, concern etched over his face like Hajime was the one leaving, not him.
"Without you?" Hajime snorted. "It'll be nice. Peace and quiet."
Tooru rolled his eyes. “In California, dummy.”
“Will you be okay in San Juan?” Hajime countered.
“Without you?” Tooru thought about it. “Noooo, it’ll be terrible, come with meeeee-“
Hajime snickered. Tooru’s mock-pained face relaxed into a gentle smile, and he raised his fist. “C’mon, one last bump?”
“Don’t make it sound weird,” Hajime sighed, gently hitting Tooru’s fist with his own. A crackly voice announced it was boarding time; Tooru checked his watch, surprised.
“Guess that’s me,” he said. He didn’t move.
“Guess so,” Hajime agreed, not moving either. “Want me to walk you to the gate?”
“Please,” said Tooru, finally beginning to drag himself across the airport.
They walked instep for a few meters, Tooru fussing with his hair, his carry-on, his watch, his shirt buttons, his glasses, and then finally, when they reached the gate, Hajime’s hair, shirt, and rucksack.
“Thanks, Mom,” Hajime said, once Tooru had finished arranging. “You know you’re the one going, right?”
“You’re welcome,” said Tooru. “And yeah. I know.” His smile seemed a little forced now, as he gave Hajime’s shoulder a squeeze.
Hajime squeezed the hand resting on his shoulder, then let go. “See you later?”
“Not if I see you first,” Tooru laughed, and went to board his plane.
It was only when the last of that carefully styled brown hair disappeared behind the plane doors that Hajime thought, I should’ve hugged him.
One year later
“Hey, Hajime!” David called, jogging towards his friend. “Whatcha doing?”
“Texting,” said Hajime, typing furiously on his phone.
“Jeez, who’s pissed you off this time?”
“Tooru.”
“Of course.” David rolled his eyes. “Who else. What did he say?”
“Argentinian volleyball is better than Italian,” Hajime fumed. “Just because he’s got Jose Blanco on his side-“
“Ohh, volleyball,” David teased. “For a sec I thought it was something important- hey!” He stepped back to avoid being elbowed in the gut. “Alright, alright, I know it’s important...”
“Too right it is,” Hajime sniffed. “This could be life or death.”
David raised an eyebrow.
“As in, I’ll kill him if he doesn’t say I’m right.”
“Yeah, yeah. Are you coming out with us tonight or are you too busy with your precious Tooru~?”
“Precious?” Hajime snorted. “As if. I’m coming out tonight, anyway.”
“And will you actually speak to us or will you just be texting Tooru~?”
“Will you stop talking like that?”
“Like what?”
“Like you’re a twelve year old girl?”
David gasped. “What do you mean?”
Hajime stared at him.
David shrugged and let his playful expression drop. “I’m just teasing you, man. Pregame at mine?”
“Sure,” said Hajime. “What time?”
“Eh, get ready at mine too, so turn up whenever.”
“I hate it when you say that,” Hajime sighed. “I’ll be there at 6.”
“Early bird gets the worm, I like it,” David nodded.
“That makes no sense.”
“Oh, have you not heard the expression before? It means-“
“I know what it means, don’t worry,” Hajime assured him. “I’ll text you when I leave my dorm.”
“Sure,” said David. “I don’t think you do know what it means, though.”
“I have a vague suspicion,” said Hajime, standing and slipping his phone into his pocket, “That I might know what it means better than you do.” He swung his backpack onto his shoulder and began to walk away.
“This is why Tooru doesn’t like you!” Daniel called after him.
“I wish that was true!” Hajime called back. “Might have some peace from him then,” he added to himself, smiling slightly as his pocket vibrated with Tooru’s angry texts.
Never one to leave a friend alone if he could be bothering them, Tooru facetimed Hajime at 6pm on the dot, right as Hajime stepped into David’s common room.
“Hello?” said Hajime in Japanese, artfully dodging the beer cans that had been knocked onto the floor.
“HAJIME!” Tooru yelled through the phone. “WHERE ARE YOU? THAT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE YOUR ROOM!”
“Why are you shouting?” asked Hajime, exchanging an exasperated glance with a slightly confused David.
“IN CASE YOU CAN’T HEAR ME,” Tooru explained. “I’M BY A BUSY ROAD.”
“Is that Tooru? What’s he saying?” asked David.
“He said he’s by a road,” Hajime translated.
“OH, IS YOUR FRIEND THERE?” Tooru asked. “CAN I TRY MY ENGLISH ON HIM?”
“He wants to know if he can try his English on you,” Hajime repeated.
“Uh, sure?”
On screen, Tooru beamed. “GIVE HIM THE PHONE,” he commanded; Hajime obediently handed his phone to David, mouthed good luck, and went to get changed. The whole time he was getting dressed, from hauling on the overly tight muscle shirt one of his friends heavily implied he should wear to nearly falling over from trying to put socks on while standing up, he could hear Tooru booming through the screen in slightly broken English. David interjected here and there, usually sounding lost and a little scared, but Tooru steered the conversation masterfully. What they were talking about, Hajime had no idea. The walls weren’t that thin. By the time Hajime was fully clothed again and ready to rescue David, he wasn’t needed anymore. Tooru had worked his beautiful Oikawa magic and they were apparently best buddies now.
“Did he really say that?” David laughed. Tooru’s bright smile was slightly pixelated, but still obviously smug.
“YEP,” he said. “HAJIME WILL TELL YOU. HEY, IWA-CHAN! DIDN’T YOU PISS YOUR PANTS WHEN YOU WERE SIX?”
“Didn’t you piss your pants when you were seven?” Hajime returned, sliding in next to David, who eyed his outfit and whistled. “What?”
“Looking to pick someone up tonight, huh?” David suggested, wiggling his eyebrows. “I see ya, I see ya.”
“I DON’T SEE YA,” Tooru complained. “SHOW ME THE OUTFIT!”
David happily flipped the camera and stepped back to allow Tooru a full view of Hajime’s outfit; Hajime braced himself for the teasing that always happened in highschool when Tooru thought he might like a girl.
“Hm,” said Tooru. The cars whizzing past him made more noise now he’d gone silent. “I dunno..”
“Oh, now you talk at normal volume,” Hajime snarked. “Why, what’s wrong?”
“I DON’T LIKE IT,” Tooru sniffed.
“Aaaand he’s back to yelling.” Hajime stepped forward to take his phone back from David.
“PUT A HOODIE ON, YOU’LL GET COLD,” Tooru advised.
“It’s summer.”
“IT’S COLD IN CALIFORNIA.”
There was really no conceivable response to such a blatant lie; Hajime searched Tooru’s face for telltale signs of teasing, but he couldn’t spot the cheeky upturn of his friend’s smirk or playful tilt of his eyebrows. “Are you being for real?” he asked in Japanese.
“VERY,” Tooru replied, still in English.
“Very what?” asked David.
“VERY COLD,” said Tooru. “HOODIE, PLEASE, HAJIME. YOUR BLUE ONE WILL GO BEST WITH YOUR OUTFIT.”
“Yes, mother,” Hajime sighed, rolling his eyes. “Can we stop by my place on the way out?” he asked David.
“Sure,” said David, confused. “I’ve never seen you in a blue hoodie.”
“WHY NOT?” asked Tooru.
“You know why not,” Hajime told him.
“Well, Tara said she’ll meet us there, and Simon’s got the flu, so… let’s go?” David offered.
“Yeesh, I told him to rest up,” Hajime grumbled. “Let’s go.”
Half an hour later, David, Tara and Hajime were crowded around a small table in the corner of the bar, Tooru’s face looming large on Hajime’s screen as he yelled some story about volleyball practice over the bass rattling through the floor. Exhausted by his efforts in English, he’d gone back to his own unique blend of Japanese and Spanish, which Hajime only understood thanks to his own efforts on Duolingo over the past year. Hajime had also faithfully retrieved the requested hoodie on the way to the bar and was now wearing it – a CA San Juan merch hoodie with OIKAWA splashed across the back.
“Who’s Oikawa?” asked Tara.
“A volleyball player, surely,” said David.
Hajime couldn’t do anything but hum in agreement, trying to keep up with Tooru’s fast-paced anecdote.
“Why is he wearing a hoodie at all? It’s summer,” Tara pointed out.
“Tooru told him to,” said David.
“Ah, Tooru,” Tara nodded, like that explained everything.
On screen, Tooru had finally reached his destination and was signing off.
“Bye,” said Hajime in English.
“TE AMO!” said Tooru, waving madly.
“Whatever,” Hajime laughed, and hung up.
“Now, I don’t speak Spanish,” said Tara, “But that sounded a lot like ‘I love you’.”
“Hm? Oh, yeah. He’s just like that,” Hajime shrugged.
“How long has he been like that?” Tara asked.
“Our whole lives.”
“Sheesh,” Tara whistled, “That’s a long time to be pining away for.”
“Pining? Who’s pining?”
David winced and put his hand over Tara’s mouth. “She didn’t mean anything by that, Haji. Now, what’re we having to drink?”
“I did mean something by that. I meant A LOT by that,” Tara hissed as Hajime studied the menu.
“I can hear you,” Hajime informed her. “Though I am choosing not to engage.”
Tara jabbed a finger at him accusingly. “We are so discussing this when we get back home.”
“Sure, sure,” Hajime agreed.
They never did. They never even asked who Oikawa was again, writing him off as some player that only a ‘volleyball nerd’ like Hajime could’ve heard of. Tara good-naturedly watched some matches with him (to ‘tide him over until Tooru visits’, she insisted) and Simon let him hang merch in their dorm; all three of them went to cheer him on when he played for the university, but none of them understood what was so enchanting to Hajime about the sport. That side of volleyball was reserved for fast chatter over the phone late into the night, the comforting sounds of his mother tongue bouncing around whichever room he took the call into, usually the kitchen. Hanamaki called once, excitedly announcing that Matsukawa had managed to pirate a UC Irvine match and Hajime had looked ‘pretty cool for a guy with hair like that’ and Hajime had hung up immediately. Mostly he just texted his friends and his mom, and sent them pictures from the restaurant down the road he frequented with his friends.
No-one really knew him like Tooru did. No-one ever could, really.
“I’m too busy to talk for long,” Tooru said sadly, on the day that Hajime coincidentally had two finals and couldn’t speak for more than ten minutes.
“My train was cancelled,” Tooru complained, before Hajime could rant about his own cancelled bus.
“I’m going home for winter break,” Tooru told him on one of their daily phone calls, just at the exact moment Hajime had opened his mouth to say he was going home for his break.
“My flight was moved to Sunday,” Tooru huffed. Hajime smiled and flashed a ticket reading the same date.
My flight’s landing, came the text when Hajime was pulling his bag from luggage claim.
“HAJIME!” Tooru yelled, and this time it wasn’t through a screen, Hajime’s shitty phone speaker crackling over the familiar voice – this time Tooru’s obnoxious, loud, lilting call echoed embarrassingly through the airport, and Hajime wanted the ground to swallow him.
“Do you have to be so loud?” he complained, swinging around to face his friend as Tooru made his way towards him. “You could’ve just tapped my shoulder.”
“Nonsense,” said Tooru dismissively, grabbing Hajime’s arm. “I was too far away.”
“You could’ve waited. Or walked faster.”
“Impatient, impatient, as always. There’s no delicacy to you, Iwa.”
“Will you ever just pick a name?”
“Hm? Why, my dear Haji, would I ever do that~?”
“Whatever, freak. Let’s go.”
“You love meeeee-“
“I said, let’s go.”
“That wasn’t a noooooo-“
“Let’s GO.”
Tooru allowed Hajime to drag him out, stopping to rescue Tooru’s suitcase from the pile of similar sleek cases floating around baggage claim. Hajime didn’t even attempt to hand it to his friend, just grabbed the handle with the same arm his duffel bag was hanging from and kept walking.
Tooru waved cheerfully at the security guard. “He probably thinks I’m being kidnapped.”
“After your little show just before? No chance.”
“You mean when I dramatically shouted your name and you dragged me across an airport? There’s definitely a chance.”
“Either you think he’s stupid, or you’re stupid and just projecting.”
“Maybe we’re actually in a super intriguing relationship where you’re a mafia boss and I’m an innocent victim of your devilish good looks.”
“We’re not in any relationship, never mind an intriguing one,” Hajime snorted.
“I should change that,” Tooru mused.
“What?”
“I said, I SHOULD CHANGE THAT,” Tooru yelled into Hajime’s ear.
“OW, you fucker!” Hajime shook his head lightly to try and stop the ringing. “We’re unpacking that later. For now, you have to walk a meter away.”
“What? Whyyyyyyyyy?”
“Uh, maybe because you just burst my eardrum? Now shoo!”
Tooru sadly detached from Hajime’s arm and fell a few steps behind. “When are we gonna unpack that?” he called.
“When you stop being an ass!” Hajime called back.

The familiar greeting made Hajime laugh a little from his spot on his bed, thinking of tiny Tooru Oikawa who used to bow the full ninety degrees to make sure his best friend’s mom would love him.
“Hello, dear,” Hajime’s mom greeted back. “Hajime’s upstairs.”
Hajime sat up and crossed his legs in anticipation.
“Thank you!” Tooru said, smile audible, as he began taking the stairs two at a time.
“Slow down,” Hajime called down to him through the doorway. “If you fall I’m not calling the ambulance.”
“Liar!” Tooru accused, bounding through the doorway with too much energy, as usual. “Your mom would never let me die.”
“My mom would swap me for you,” Hajime admitted, and shuffled back to make room on the bed. “Alright, loser. Come sit.”
“Yes, sir,” Tooru mock-saluted, and practically threw himself down on the mattress.
“I said sit, not flop,” Hajime complained, straightening the sheets.
“Whatever,” Tooru shrugged. “What’s mine is yours, what’s yours is mine. Therefore, this is my bed.”
“What are we, married?” Hajime grumped.
The tips of Tooru’s ears turned red.
Hajime stared at him. “Are you serious right now.”
“It’s a cute concept!” Tooru defended. “Just because you’re an emotionless brute doesn’t mean all of us are insensitive.”
“So,” Hajime said in disbelief, “When you said you should change our relationship-“
“Yep, I meant it,” Tooru nodded.
What could Hajime even say to that?
“So, you –“
“Yes, Hajime,” Tooru said impatiently, “I like you like that, you big baby.”
“Since when were you the emotionally mature one?”
“Wow, Iwa. Haven’t I always been?”
“No.”
“Well, who was? It definitely wasn’t you.”
“It definitely was.”
Tooru sighed heavily. “So am I gonna get an answer?”
“An answer? To what?”
“Oh my goddddd,” Tooru complained. “I’m actually going to have to do this ....”
With as much grace as he could muster – which wasn’t a lot, given the situation – Tooru slid off the bed and landed on one knee.
Hajime raised an eyebrow. “I know we joked about it, but I’m not actually going to marry you.”
“That’s not what I’m trying to do!!” Tooru squawked. “Just listen, will you?!”
“Sure,” Hajime said easily, leaning back. “Go for it.”
“Hajime Iwaizumi –“
“That’s me.”
“Let me finish!”
“Whatever you want, my liege.”
Tooru rolled his eyes. “You’re so fucking annoying and I’m in love with you.”
“.... That’s it?”
“I had a whole speech but you ruined it,” Tooru pouted.
“You can save it for our wedding,” Hajime suggested.
Tooru stared at him. “What.”
“Do you suddenly not speak Japanese anymore?”
“No, I heard what you said, I just meant... is that a yes?”
“You haven’t actually asked me a question.”
Tooru genuinely looked like he was going to scream. “You make my life very difficult, Hajime.”
“You’re welcome.”
Tooru took a deep breath. “Do you wanna go out with me?”
“Yes.”
“That’s it?”
“I’ve already said that. Find your own lines.”
“There’s no agonising over your feelings? No shock when you discover you like men? No worries that our friendship will be ruined?”
“Should there be?”
“Um, yes?”
“Because that’s what you had?”
“Yes?”
“Well I’m not stupid like you, so.”
“I hate you.”
“Woah, divorce already?”
“Fuck you.”
“All in good time, dude.....”
Tooru mimed strangling him. Hajime cackled.

Just getting back into ships so here are some prompts and ideas / odz / iwaoi / matsuhana and your choice
Person A has always wanted kids and decides adopting as a single parent is still adopting. It's bizarre, how easily Person B fits into this new life.
Person A fucks up their sleep schedule and ultimately becomes completely nocturnal. They meet Person B while having four am lunch.
A group of friends is together and between them and their mutuals, there are a dozen weddings being held this summer. Person A and Person B decide to attend them as a "temporary" couple.
In a supernatural world, Person A has been accused of a heinous plot and Person B, their alibi, is missing.
Truth Potion AU - you can't speak a lie when you're in the presence of someone you harbor unrequited feelings for.
In a world where the kingdom's next leader is chosen by majority vote, Person A insists that popularity contest are stupid. They may or may not nominate themselves/Person B, but they at the very least, catch the attention of the previous leader/Person B.
Hero/Villain AU where the villain is more interested in sleeping with the hero than doing anything malicious. Alternatively negotiates not doing crimes in exchange for dates.
Hero/Villian AU where the hero takes a leaf out of the other's book and the villain spends some time reprimanding them about going down the dark path.
Childhood friends AU where one of them then moves across the planet, and they keep in touch for fifteen years, before one of them visits the other.
Angst/sci-fi AU - share a consciousness so that only one of them can be conscious at any time.
Actors AU - they did a movie together two years ago, Person A is a massive dork who fell in love at first sight and has wildly failed at their desperate attempts to move on since. Their agents match them up for a new movie and maybe, things are a lot easier the second time around.
Opposite of Slow burn - a romance ending in marriage in thirty days, and lasting much longer than that.
Gameshow - a reality TV show that rewards couples who stay together through the season in spite of the hormones suffocating the house. Person A and B pretend to be a couple to win some money.

ok i See ur iwaoi meeting suga’s family….thoughts suga meeting oikawa’s family? (correct me if im wrong lol but i don’t think you’ve talked abt that before)
i think i've alluded to it? but never actually talked about it!
it goes... okay. suga meets oikawa's sister and nephew long before he meets oikawa's parents. i think oikawa is really reluctant to introduce them tbh. he knows how his parents are. they barely understood oikawa dating a man (and sometimes he thinks it's just because it's iwaizumi specifically), there's no way they would get them adding a third person.
so... he doesn't really want to. suga understands this but there is a part of him that feels :/ about it. left out isn't the right word but... he feels weird when he gets dropped at his house because iwaoi have dinner with oikawa's parents. he would never voice this though. he mostly trusts oikawa when he tells him he's better off.
i don't know what changes oikawa's mind but eventually they do introduce suga. they do it at a dinner with iwa's moms also in attendance. oikawa never really thought they would say anything mean (it's not really their style to be overtly mean) but he knows there's even less of a chance of it if they're there.
oikawa's parents are a little cold and some of the questions they ask make suga think that maybe they're more bothered by the Elementary Teacher thing than the gay little third thing. and by the end of it suga understands everything oikawa and isaki oikawa sister) said about them. and he gets why oikawa was hesitant. and it kinda sucks that ultimely he couldn't get on their good.
at least he has iwa's moms :]

what are your ideas so far? :0 like fandom, ships, type of soulmate au, etc. im so curious!!
soulmate aus can be fun to play around with if you're doing interesting things with it <- the only way i like them fjdns. make it a little messy! complicated! i don't want it to be easy (this is me on my soapbox, not like @ you fjdjsjs)
ok HERE WE GO. thank you for the ask i am now going to proceed to Go.
so the easy bit: its gonna be haikyuu because the brainrot i have is literally incurable. now for everything after that. it gets a little more complicated. bc you are so right. if the soulmatism is easy then it's no fun! it's gotta be painful and messy for it to be interesting! what's the point of a world that's easy? (<- said by someone who keeps writing a concerning number of unrequited soulmate aus)
im gonna be honest, this is a little (a lot) inspired by a prompt i got in january 2022 (yikes sorry some of y'all are still waiting on a bunch of those) from @/what-the-flowers (once again im so sorry).
the parts of the prompt that i'm working with are (a) dreamsharing soulmates, (b) platonic soulmates, and (c) rare enough that 1/2 of the pair doesn't believe in them!! all of those ideas are SUPER exciting to me individually, but put them together......hehehhehehe
so the pairings im thinkin bout. i think it's gonna be hinata-centric because i've never really gone that route with a fic before and that feels unfair for a show literally about him. i think he starts sharing dreams with kageyama after he moves to brazil and then they have to navigate that change in their relationship when they're suddenly so far apart.
but the thing is that, like. they aren't in love with each other. they're besties, each other's greatest supporter and greatest rival, but they're not in love. i am forever a platonic kagehina truther. im not sorry for who i am. but anyways they've only ever heard stories about soulmates, and only ever been told that they're romantic.
and they don't really know how to navigate all of that, especially when neither of them are, like, the greatest at interpersonal emotional communication.
anyways! while this is happening i am shoving kenhina in there because i am currently shaking them around in my mind. it's kenma and hinata falling for each other but this whole soulmate thing is making things stupid complicated, and it doesn't need to, but it is, and it sucks.
oh and also kenma's bestie and no. 1 support system is obviously kuroo and as a side note, kuroo just straight up. does not believe in soulmates. i think i'm gonna force in a backstory about his parents there but it's probably gonna be not at all relevant, i just have a lot of thoughts about the kuroo family. anyways. this is ALSO making things complicated in some way that i haven't figured out yet.
but kenma doesn't have a soulmate, and he's falling in love with hinata, who suddenly has been given a soulmate years after kenma started being interested in him (maybe they were already established for a bit? not sure yet), and what does that mean for any of them?
i also have a side plot about oikawa and iwaoi and california and brazil. this is probably going to be a minor subplot used to push hinata towards being brave enough for an unconventional soulmate relationship and it may not really be necessary but i need 30,000 words out of this so it's going in there.
things i am most excited about:
kenhina !!! i've never written them but something about them is itching my brain rn and i want to try it !!!
hinata pov !!!! its so silly i've never done it and i want to give it a shot
dreamsharing!!!! i think i'm gonna play with , like, dreamscapes and the way dreams feel so liminal and unreal in addition to the way you can communicate with someone within dreams for realsies
world building !!! universes in which soulmates exist can be so crazy and i am going to make this one MESSY
subpoint to that: what are the implications of soulmates in the first place? what does it mean that they're so rare? and what does it mean to reject ur soulmate? what does it mean to have a platonic soulmate and someone else ur in love with? and what does it mean to be in love with someone who has a soulmate who isn't you?
things i am going to switch around/ideas i want to play with a little before i start writing in july:
hinata pov is very daunting. ngl. it is very daunting. and i may switch to a kenma pov bc that could also be super interesting (see: the last subpoint before this).
i want SO badly to write a kenma character study and i think this probably isn't the fic plot for that but WHAT IF IT WAS.
kageyama's role--i don't want him to just be there in dreams, so i want to figure out ways to work him into the physical world
how long does this last? -> i feel good abt starting at the beginning of hinata's brazil time, but i'm not sure how much time this needs to cover for it to make sense
there is so much to consider and i was on the fence abt this fic but now that i've written this all out i am getting EXCITED

It is rare for Oikawa and Iwaizumi not to meet in Japan, but when they don't, their parents always try to make it more pleasant. So when Tooru receives a message from Iwaizumi's mother inviting him to stay over just two days after landing, he smiles tenderly and informs his parents.
He doesn't take anything from home. Hajime's wardrobe still has a corner with his clothes, and in the bathroom there are still his creams, shampoo, hair gels and headbands.
There is something of Tooru in Hajime's, just as there is something of Hajime in Tooru's.
He spends the day with his second mother, who greets him with a warm, sweet hug. Then comes his second father, who gives him those bear hugs that lift him off the ground and make him laugh like he did when he was two years old.
"Welcome home, sweetheart," they tell him, because for more than two decades now, sorry for the intrusion has become I'm home.
They have dinner together, share anecdotes, and, accompanied by tea, watch a 12-episode series. Oikawa and Mama-Iwa comment aloud, while Papa-Iwa is so engrossed that, when they finish it, he is indignant at not having a second season to watch.
After discussing the plot, they say their goodnights. Kaori kisses his forehead, Shota ruffles his hair, and they both wish him sweet dreams.
Entering Hajime's room and closing the door behind him feels like stepping back into the reality he wanted to ignore. Tooru's shoulders slump, and the weight in his heart returns as his eyes wander around the bedroom.
The bed is still the same, covered with the sushi-print duvet he gave Hajime for his birthday. The shelves are somewhat empty, with a few Lego figures scattered around, books that couldn't make the journey, and a couple of pictures featuring old photographs of Hajime with his parents and extended family. Where dozens of Polaroids used to hang above the headboard, only one remains: it's Tooru, smiling brightly at the camera, his hair tousled as he hugs the stitch plush Iwaizumi gave him. On the desk are pens with barely any ink, worn pencils, and the wireless mouse he forgot to take with him. A Godzilla poster adorns the wall, a deflated volleyball rests in one corner, and Aoba Johsai's jacket hangs up.
Oikawa takes a deep breath and pushes himself away from the door to shuffle towards the bathroom. He brushes his teeth and cleans his face, slow and lazy. He returns to the bedroom and opens the wardrobe, but only Hajime's part. It's almost empty, but a dark oversize shirt hangs on the rack. It smells so much like Iwaizumi's cologne, with that hint of his fresh deodorant spray, that when Oikawa swipes it over his head, he almost groans. He doesn't bother to put on trousers, stays in his boxers and finally sinks under the duvet.
The pillow smells like Hajime, and Tooru curls up, wishing he could sink into it. Missing him feels like drowning. He wonders what Hajime is doing now. Whether or not he has got out of bed. Whether he's gone for a run. If he has made a smoothie last night or will do it later. Whether he's preparing the lessons for his favourite group. Whether he's thinking about him as much as Tooru thinks about Hajime. If it's just as hard for him when they don't see each other. If he thinks Oikawa's a bad boyfriend for choosing to pursue his life's dream over him. If Hajime wants to stay with hi—.
His mobile vibrates on the bedside table, startling Oikawa out of his reverie. He quickly reaches out and grabs his phone.
Hajime 🤎🦔
babe, u still awake?
facetime?
Tooru doesn't even respond, he initiates the call. His heart races as it did during their first kiss. Three seconds later, Hajime's face, with a soft smile and narrowed eyes, fills his screen. Suddenly, breathing is much easier, and the weight on his chest lightens.
Oikawa smiles back, genuine and sweet.
“Hey, babe.”
“Hey, darling-chan.”
“Are you in my bed?”
“Mmh.” Oikawa nods, stretching his arm upward to widen the angle before making a peace gesture with his free hand, his smile widening.
Hajime laughs, his voice flowing through the speaker, somewhat distorted.
“I hope you're not drooling all over my pillow again.”
“Rude, Iwa-chan, I don’t drool!” He protests childishly, sticking his tongue out as he settles sideways, placing his mobile where Hajime would be.
At the same time, Iwaizumi does the same from his bed in Irvine, snorting in amusement.
“Oh, yes you do, Tooru.”
“Well, I’d rather drool than snore.”
“I don’t do that.” He frowns.
“Oh, yes you do, Hajime,” Tooru mimics his voice, grinning victoriously when Iwaizumi pulls out his middle finger.
They tease some more, gazing at each other with smiles painted on their faces. Oikawa tells him all about what he did today, describing how delicious dinner was and sharing the plot of the series he watched with Iwa's parents. Iwaizumi tells him all about what he has planned for today, detailing the fifty-question Kahoot he’s prepared for his favorite group and the amusing tale of how Jacob managed to tangle his toothbrush in his hair (again).
They don’t need to say that they miss each other. They don’t need to mention how time hasn’t quite eased the hollow ache they feel when they look to the empty space beside them each day. They don’t have to, because they both know it, and that’s what keeps them holding on.
Missing feels like drowning, but every video call, every message, every call, every photograph, every audio, every letter, and every ticket back and forth feels like a breath of air.
...
isnt 20th here yet but happy bday to oikawa my loveeee!! every day in july is tooru day <3
u can find me on my ao3 🍉

Oikawa Torū, a well known volleyball player encounters his childhood friend and past lover who just happens to be the leader of a dangerous mafia group.
Oikawa POV:
Hi there, I'm Oikawa Torū, currently 18 years old. As you all know I'm a famous volleyball player. I'm walking home back to my house after practice with my team. While walking I heard people talking near the alleyways. Wait what? People talking near the alleyways? There shouldn't be anyone here since these areas are close. Oh wait, I'm here but nevermind that. I got curious so I walk closer to the sounds of whispers.
"Oi, when are they supposed to arrive?" "I'm sorry boss, it seems they are in a traffic jam right now." "Tch tell them to hurry I'm getting impatient." "Yes boss!"
Geez bossy much? The man said boss, are they the people who killed those victims? I heard on the news that a group of mafia are now in town and were found killing people near alleyways. Omg, I'm scared. Mommy pick me up! Oikawa focus! They are mafias, get out of here first! As I was about to speed walk out of there I heard something unexpected that made me stop.
"Iwaizumi! Sorry we're late, there was a traffic jam." "Geez you're so loud, what if someone heard you, you idiot." "Sorry sorry. Anyways, are you heading to the base straight away or do you want to go somewhere else before we go back?" "I'm going to-" "Hm? What's wrong?" "Whose there! I know someone's behind the wall, come out before we drag you out!"
Shit! I need to get out of here. I put my jacket on and pull the hood over my jacket so they won't know who I am. I start running as I hear footsteps coming closer. I hear them yelling for me to stop but I keep running as my head keeps going back to what the other person said. "Iwaizumi? As in Iwaizumi Hajime?! You've got to be kidding!" I shout as I reach the beach since it was close. "Iwa-chan, my childhood best friend and my past lover is the leader of the mafia group?!" I shout in my head. I lay down on the sand, not caring if it was going to enter my clothes or not. I couldn't believe it, my best friend is in miyagi and a mafia leader.
Flashback: 3 years ago
"Oikawa, I'm going to the US for high school." Iwaizumi says to Oikawa leaving the older boy shocked. "Wha-what? What do you mean? What about me, us?! You promised that we're going to the same school right?!" Oikawa shouts as tears begin to fall to his cheeks. "I'm sorry, Kawa but I have no choice. My parents already arranged this for me so I can't tell them to just forget about it." Iwaizumi answers trying to calm Oikawa down. However, as he tries to go near his boyfriend to wipe the tears falling from his eyes, Oikawa kisses him and runs away leaving behind his "final" message "Fine, goodbye then, Hajime."
Flashback ends.
"Fuck, only now did you come back? You're so mean, Iwa-chan." I get up and brush off the sand and walk back home. "I'll think about this later, I guess." My parents are currently out of town for the whole month so I'm living alone at the house. I arrived at my doorstep, got my keys out of my pocket and entered the house. I locked the door behind me and started heading to my room. Once I entered, I quickly put my bag on my desk and went into the bathroom. After I took a bath, I went downstairs and into the kitchen.
I looked for something to cook in the cupboards and quickly chose the ramen. I started boiling the water when I heard a knock at my door. I went to the door and opened it slightly to see who it was.
"Atsumu?! What are you doing here?!" I say shocked that my best friend from Hyogo is here in Miyagi. "Hi, Kawa!! I'm staying the night here so open the door bestie." I open the door to let Atsumu in and he does "So, what's going on?" He asked while sitting down on the seat near the counter in the kitchen. As I turned off the boiling water and got another ramen for Atsumu, I answered back "Huh? What do you mean?" "Don't play with me, Kawa. My gut told me earlier that something happened while I was on the train." I chuckle at the thought that he really cares for me. I look him in the eyes and put the ramen in front of him. I told him about the incident, about Iwa-chan.
"Wait- hold on." He pauses and takes a deep breath before saying "Your childhood friend is a mafia leader?!". Ouch my ears hurt, but I guess I don't blame him. I just nod and there is an awkward silence that followed after. As I was about to speak, I heard a knock on the door, and went to open it but only to regret it after.

fluff alphabet // iwaoi
Word count: 1.6k
»»——————————————- ✼ ——————————————-««
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Oikawa is much more affectionate than Iwaizumi is, as in initiating the affection. Oikawa is totally ok with PDA and doesn't hesitate, while Iwaizimi is a little more standoffish about PDA. In private, however, Iwa is very touchy and loves cuddling and kisses.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Oikawa and Iwaizumi have been best friends their entire life. Their friendship started because their parents were friends, and they were inseparable all throughout their childhood, and obviously they are the same way now. When they were younger, Oikawa would claim he would only marry Hajime, and Iwa would pretend he was grossed out. Oikawa was always affectionate and Iwaizumi claimed he had cooties.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Oikawa and Iwa are cuddle bugs. They cuddled all the time platonically (ish) when they were younger because close proximity is just nice, so now it's honestly just normal for them. Oikawa is usually the one being cuddled, curled up into the crook of Iwaizumi's arm, or the little spoon, you name it. He's super needy and just wants to be held, what can I say.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
They absolutely want to settle down with each other. They're pretty used to being domestic with each other because of how much time they spent at each others houses growing up, so cooking and cleaning together sort of comes naturally to them. When they moved in together for university, they felt as if nothing really changed all that much, they were just in love.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
No<3
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
Oikawa had been demanding they get married since primary school, however Iwaizumi was the one who proposed. They had already been essentially committed to each other for years prior, so getting married was just the next step for them. They were in love so why not make a party and ceremony of it? Oikawa cried when Iwa proposed and they had a very pretty wedding.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Iwaizumi looks big and scary and muscle-y, but with Oikawa he is the most gentle person ever. He has so much patience and love for them. Since they were best friends before they were lovers, he still loves messing with Oikawa and Oikawa him, but they both know when to stop. Oikawa has always been pretty gentle with the other, but he loves to jump on him and tackle him just because he knows that Iwa will always catch him.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Oikawa loves hugs, anywhere, everywhere, all the time. He jumps at the chance to give or receieve a hug from Iwa. Iwaizumi, on the other hand, enjoys hugs, but not so much in public. He's not huge into PDA, so he prefers hugs to be a quiet, private thing that can be extended if needed. He loves a good long hug that eventually ends with them both on the couch just holding each other.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Oikawa and Iwaizumi had been telling each other that they love each other their whole life, but at some point it started getting too hard to do because it felt just a little too real. When they finally got together as a couple was when they first said I love you, like that. In fact, instead of just saying "I love you," Oikawa specified that he was IN love with him. Just so he didn't get confused :)
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Both of them get super jealous. Iwaizumi gets super protective and Oikawa sort of just gets petty... I'll elaborate later.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Oikawa always has super moisturized lips, while Iwaizumi's are always chapped. It doesn't bother Oikawa at all though. In fact, he's sort of grown to love how soft his lips are but how they still have a rough exterior. It's endearing. Oikawa loves being kissed on his forehead, and Iwa is a sucker for neck kisses.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Oikawa is amazing with kids. He's had a lot of time around little ones because of his nephew so it's sort of second nature to him. Iwaizumi, however, is very timid around kiddos. He's honestly scared of them and scared that he's going to break them or something. He also just doesn't really like how sticky they are.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Oikawa sleeps in and Iwaizumi always wakes up early. Oikawa just needs his beauty sleep, what can he say? When they both eventually get out of bed, if they're having a lazy day Iwaizumi will always go make breakfast for the both of them while Oikawa does his best to distract him.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Going along with the mornings, Oikawa is a night owl and Iwaizumi tries to go to bed early. They always have a show they're watching together, so they usually curl up in bed after dinner and turn it on. Iwaizumi always falls asleep one episode in, so Oikawa always has to explain to him what he missed in the morning.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
Since they were best friends for much longer than they were together, they basically already know everything about each other.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Iwaizumi has a pretty quick temper, but never with Oikawa. His patience with him is out of this world. Oikawa keeps is cool really well with Iwa too, so any spats they have are usually minor and resolved quickly.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about each other? Do they remember every little detail the other mentions in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Both of them basically know everything about each other. It sort of comes with the whole "best friends to lovers" thing.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in their relationship?)
Both of them have the same favorite moment, and its when they finally told each other they love each other and they started dating. After years of pining and confusing feelings, the relief was amazing for both of them and they were much happier by ten fold from that moment on.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect their partner? How would they like to be protected?)
Both of them get pretty jealous, but while Iwaizumi gets protective, Oikawa gets sort of petty. He'll just be super passive aggresive about his jealousy but Iwa picks up on it pretty fast.
"Oikawa I swear if you dont tell me who I talked to that bothered you.."
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
They both put a lot of effort into their dates, it doesn't matter who is taking the other. They really love each other and want to show it, so they both take special care. On anniversaries they always get each other a thoughtful gift, and to them the price really doesn't matter. It's just the thought behind it.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Oikawa always gets in the bed with his socks on but hates sleeping in socks so he kicks them off in the bed. When they go to strip their sheets, 20 pairs of his socks are found at the bottom and Iwaizumi gets so mad.
Iwaizumi is awful at folding clothes and refuses to try to learn. When they have laundry to do he just keeps doing it extremely bad so Oikawa will eventually go "You know what! Just let me do it!!"
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Contrary to popular belief, Oikawa really doesn't put that much effort into his hair, but he does have an extensive skin care routine. Iwa washes his face with bar soap and has perfect skin and it enrages Oikawa.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without their partner?)
They are the most dependent on each other. They spend every waking moment with each other and its basically always been that way, so yes they feel very incomplete without each other.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Oikawa never finishes all of his food and Iwaizumi always eats it for him.
"That is just wasteful give me your plate,"
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
Iwaizumi absolutely hates when Oikawa leaves his clothes in the bathroom floor after he showers. Oikawa hates when Iwa leaves pots and pans on the stovetop after he cooks. He would literally wash them for him if Iwa would just move them to the sink, but no.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
Oikawa is an absolute night owl and hates waking up early. Iwaizumi always goes to sleep early and wakes up early. Since he always wakes up first, he loves to watch Oikawa sleep, a smile on his face as he watches him, purely in love.

207
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count?
1,696,952
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently only hp, except I'm going to try to finish that one hq wip I have. At some point
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Neither Hide Nor Hair (wolfstar)
Smells Like a Promise (iwaoi)
Possessive (iwaoi)
Facing the Truth (iwaoi)
On the Run/True Freedom (vikyuu)
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes, although it sometimes takes me a while
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
It has to be Forget Me Not
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This is a difficult question! I think it's probably Sentimental Werewolf because the whole fic is so soft
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Surprisingly little
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. I'm not sure what this question means. I write primarily m/m
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I've only ever written one, and that was one more than I ever expected to write! And I wrote it for a crack ship event, otherwise I would have never thought of it. It's hp and Matthias & Maxime
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Twice
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Once. Also I have translated a few of my own fics
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No. I'm not sure if I could because of the way my head works when I'm working on something
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
Well, the one I've liked for the longest is bokukuro. One that I liked very intensely back when I did is snarry. The one that I currently like very intensely is wolfstar
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
The one in which werewolves can't live on their own, and Remus’s parents are dead so he was living in an abusive environment until he ran away. He's scared of everyone because of how he's been treated. Then James stumbles upon him in the alley where he's been hiding and offers him a place to stay. And then somehow wolfstar happens
16. What are your writing strengths?
Emotions, dialogue, writing consistently
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Description, titles
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've never done it. I don’t think I have any strong feelings about it

Harry Potter. The first fandom I posted for was Death Note
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Current favourite is The Werewolf Hunt. Long-term favourite is An Afternoon

bokuaka fic recs
only one person asked for this, but that's enough for me! however, compiling this list has also given me the chance to locate fics i read and loved during quarantine but did not, for whatever reason, bookmark or otherwise save...
i will say that my past experiences with 'dead' fandoms has made me perhaps a little too forgiving of blips in characterization, but i genuinely enjoy/ed reading these gems
all recs are complete
hit-never-miss authors
norio
mocaw
mystictwirl
canon compliant
soft blue by graninlynch (g ∣ ~6k words). akaashi can draw well and bokuto finds out in an invasive way.
slow on the uptake by dalyeau (m ∣ ~1k words). akaashi realizes his boyfriend is hot. pwp but it's so beautifully written it doesn't feel that way. this author is very popular, too; however, i haven't read too many of their other works!
denouement by ftld (t ∣ ~9k words). akaashi's struggles with coming out to his parents about his established relationship with bokuto.
wisdom (perception) check by allicanseeispink (t ∣ ~12k words). an incredibly lovely piece wherein bokuto watches a movie and introspection occurs. this is part of a series that i've yet to read, but i read and understood this as a stand-alone fic. wonderful authorial voice. everyone should read it.
the strange music of your heart by caniculeo (t ∣ ~18k words). akaashi falls first. i must say, i love love love the fukurodani interactions in this one.
alternate universe
what a hoot by moonyfest (au - college/university & wrong number ∣ t ∣ ~2k words). delightful little chat fic.
red tattoo by choir (au - soulmates ∣ t ∣ ~2k words). soulmate-identifying marks but with a twist! platonic kuroaka and minor kurodai.
running, running, running by deusreks (au - archery club ∣ t ∣ ~4k words). a lovely get-together piece.
it's a miracle when our worlds collide by darlingwendy (au - soulmates ∣ nr ∣ ~6k words). oh nooo i sped past you on my way to work but you're my soulmate :((
first train home by marras (au - ghost & age changes ∣ t ∣ ~10k words). akaashi takes the train, and an apparition sits beside him. poignant but beautiful.
never bleed, never grow by sketchedsmiles (au - bodyswap ∣ g ∣ ~27k words). a glorious bokuaka & iwaoi body swap.
static by twinkrevali (au - robots & androids ∣ g ∣ ~8k words). i think about this fic way too much...bokuto is the engineer, and akaashi is the android. kuroken sequel and bokuroo prequel.
quiet by silvercistern (au - fairytale ∣ e ∣ ~41k words). as the author describes, "a meiji-era retelling of the fairytale the six swans." this writer is also very popular, as well as the story. but if you're into the fairytale/fantasy scene and haven't read this one, it's a delight.
right in the head by mysecretfanmoments (au - zombie apocalypse ∣ e ∣ ~52k words). bokuaka against zombies.
the hands we're given by lessonsfrommoths (au - zombie apocalypse ∣ m ∣ ~37k words). also bokuaka against zombies. this one becomes plot heavy and is very inclusive of other characters. it's part of a hq!! vs zombie universe/series, and there is a sequel to this specific piece that is ~70k words.

LONG FANFIC!
Iwaoi (soulmates/omegaverse)
AN: Oikawa doesn't have a dick/cock he's got a pussy. Timeskips of them as married couples.
Tumblr media
It was another day at the Iwaizumi household both Hajime and Tooru fast asleep at around 2a.m. both their kids Taichi and Towako are asleep in their rooms.
That was until later at 2:30a.m. Tooru heard small feet running to their bedroom and their daughter Towako holding her Godzilla plush in her hand with tears running down her face.
Which Tooru chuckled to himself while laying in bed next to Hajime who's fast asleep.
"Mama?"
"Hmmn, yes baby?"
Tooru said to his four year old daughter who came sitting in front of her mother while her father slept.
Though she came to her parents bedroom quietly trying not to wake her brother up in the next room.
"Sssh, what's wrong baby? Hmmn, you can tell me anything."
Tooru said looking at his daughter with a smile on his face when she sniffled and the tears were still rolling down her face.
"Had a nightmare.."
"Awe sweetie, it's okay. You can tell me about the nightmare later, now go hurry to bed before your brother comes looking for you."
Tooru said as Towako went back to her room and in bed when Tooru felt him being yanked by his husband from behind.
"Hajime? You awake? I know you overhea-"
Then Hajime gave Tooru a tight squeeze and a kiss to his shoulder which made Tooru to giggle so bad.
Of course after Tooru calmed himself from the laughing of how his husband was giving ticklish kisses over him.
But Hajime has been seeing something strange about his husband of the way Tooru was acting now in bed.
"Tooru, you're acting like you're an omega in heat?"
"Hah! How dare you! H-how..."
Tooru said halfway and wanted to cry which Hajime saw that and kissed his lips.
"Haji? What-what was that for?"
"sigh your upset. I can tell Tooru."
"I'm not Hajime! I'm not upset at all."
Tooru told his husband with a smile knowing that he's lying to his husband as Hajime gave him a knowing look.
