just finished watching gomburza, quick thoughts:

1) wow jose burgos is hot

2) wow this film really did not give a fuck about jacinto zamora

3) it's every interesting how the film, whenever it showcases the rich businessmen talking about politics in general, is often accompanied by a background of lower class filipino people.

3.5) on that point I really don't know what they're telling here, is it just mean't to be set dressing? or is it meant to highlight the cavite mutiny's and the association of filipino's failure to recognize and recruit lower class filipinos within their organization.

4) i hate that final scene with the friars feeling guilty, it feels shoehorned in and just reeks of apologism for the church. although sadly this isn't the first time, series that MCI and (if i recall correctly) Leon Ma. Guerrero's translation strip away the church, as one unified entity's, from the sins they've committed.
