temple/auriga lore dump?

i almost never purge when acting as a confessor in the temple because i find the combat system a little tedious, but i did today for the first time, and got a scene i haven’t seen before.

when purging the penitent, i made them climax, and then was prompted to do it again several more times until i blacked out. (no screenshots of this, sorry, i wasn’t thinking about it.)

then, i was met with this scene:

from then on, i asked the questions in the order they popped up in the dialogue choices, so all the following passages are the responses to the first shown option in the preceding one.

bonus: after i left, and went to the cloister, the six-armed statue was labeled.

i have yet to see what this scene is like with a pure sydney! if anyone has that, i’d be grateful if they could add it to the post; if not, i’ll get it myself and add it here instead. ^^

notably, i know there is dialogue where the ivory wraith calls you gaoler, but i can’t remember the context in which they call you that, so i can’t meaningfully draw connections…

I want to know why so many people have beef with the Great Hawk. I get why Alex doesn't like them, but why Eden? Sydney has a problem with them too if I remember correctly. What on earth did the bird do to them???

But, also, confirmed to be a couple years younger then Eden. I checked their in-game description and it says mid-thirties! *** Implied to be in school w/ Harper/Wren. And, just going out on a limb based on them taking over Sydney's Deceased Parents role as head of the church. Who I am assuming was older then them (mid 30s like Sirris if they were alive). *** I am assuming based on Landry referring to them as a "kid". **** Harper is described as "not being older then 25" so puts them early 20s. I don’t have confirmation, but part of me thinks that for the highest members of the church (that’s out in the public eye) it requires them to be without a relationship and virgin. Like, marriage is considered less than just being virgin for life

Mostly cause it’s heavily implied that Sydney’s dead parents was “corrupted” by Sirris before Sydney was born, so even is the parent and Sirris were monogamous and loyal to each other it was still “lesser”

And Sydney is scared of even having romantic feelings

So I think any relationship is looked down on slightly

Does anyone know if the Temple has like…concrete ideas on love/relationships? I know the big ones are 1) love should be pure and free of sin whatever the fuck that means, and 2) between two people only, who must be faithful to each other.

I know it’s antithetical to the Town’s whole philosophy, but I wanted to see if there was anything else in game not because I’m writing about it obviously

I wonder how many deities exist in dol, because we know that there's at least three. The god with several arms and wings, the angel with several eyes and wings, and the tentacle demon. I'm pretty sure that Vrel hinted at another one in a QnA once too.

There's specifically the Hunting Horn, where Winter reacts to it.

question 6 nahh its fine i can still enjoy dry syd. I initially thought that sydney would be funnier than whitney, especially when hes corrupted. To me, syd is just your typical chill ass guy with bbq sauce on his tts that likes to joke around a lot, like if you take the time to get to know them, youd find them naturally endearing and hilarious (edit l initially interpreted dry as boring, but I think they may be referring to deadpan humor and I can sorta see syd possessing that)
